Chapter 5: Bad Moon Rising

What is love? Baby don't hurt me. For all of my life, I was told by movies and TV that love was some kind of magical force that can conquer anything. No matter what happened to you, or what sort of hardships you faced in your life, all you need is love, and you would find a way to make it through. Love can take many different forms. The love between a mother and her child is one of the strongest bonds that two people will ever share, and one that every person on earth has experienced in their lifetime. People can also love non-human things too. For example: some people love hobbies, sports teams, foods, places, even other emotions. You can love anything and everything you want. However, all of those pale in comparison to the original love.

The love between two lovers.

Whether that be between a man and a woman, or two women, or two men, or whatever combo you want to mix and match with, those feelings are the ones that the term "love" is most often associated with. You will never love somebody the same way that you love your partner.

Of course, this is all conjecture and speculation on my part. Personally? I have yet to experience love. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but there is not one single person in the world that I ever met in my entire life that I can honestly say "I love you" and have it mean the same as those cheesy jewelry store commercials. You know the ones. "Every Kiss begins with Kay".

Ugh, spare me.

Don't even bother taking pity on me. The cold hard truth of the world is that some people were never meant to be happy. No matter who you are, or where you came from, your skin color, religion, size, or sexual orientation, when it's all said and done, there are only two types of people in the world. Winners and losers.

Winners are the folks who never had to go through all of the things I went through. Winners heard their childhood crush say "yes!" when they asked them out in school. Winners get to spend every holiday around a loving family. Winners have purpose in life. Winners have people they can count on to be there for them when times get tough. Winners know that everything is going to be alright.

Then there are people like me. People who never got to experience the pure innocence and magical feelings of teenage love. People who spent their youth living in military bases, fighting for billion dollar corporations with the promise that we were "the good guys". People who got left behind when our soulless war ended up inevitably failing horribly. People who were tortured and beaten like the villains they were. People who finally returned to the country they fought to "defend" only to be homeless on the streets with no family or friends to care that they had ended up like this. I had every right in the world to be full of hate and remorse, and yet, there was a part of me that kept going. For some crazy reason, I woke up every morning and kept on living. Sometimes that's all you need to do. Despite every reason I had to end it all, I never did. Whether it was because of some foolish hope that things would turn around, or because I loved myself too much to give up, or some combination of the two, I will forever be grateful that things turned out like this.

Honestly, there are some days that I think to myself, "maybe I really did die in afghanistan." Looking around at my life today, it's amazing to think that things ended up they way they did. I get to live in a big beautiful house, with three amazing women. Granted, these women were three of the world's deadliest monster girls, but the more time I spend with them, the more I think the monster is on the outside. Once you get to know them, they're just like every other girl.

Priya, Ellie, and now Liz. The three of them have been the best things that ever happened in my life. Sometimes when i'm alone, I get this feeling in my chest when I think about them. I'm not sure what it is. Butterflies? It feels like i'm short of breath, and my face gets all hot. Whatever this feeling is, I need to snap out of it. After all, I have a job to do.

That's right, today is Laundry day. Now that my house is getting bigger, my workload is too. Despite being apex predators, these girls are just as messy as normal women when it comes to leaving dirty clothes on the floor.

I grabbed the hamper and carried it upstairs. This was the easy part, since it was still empty.

*knock knock* "Priya? Can I come in? It's laundry day." I gently knocked on the door. Priya never responded. That's weird, I hadn't seen her around the house all morning, so she must be in here. Let's try again.

*knock knock knock* "Priya? You in there?" Still nothing. Although, it looks like the door is unlocked.

"I'm coming in". I slowly opened the door to find the room was dark. I reached for the lightswitch, but before I could turn the lights on, the door slammed behind me.

"P-priya?" I stuttered into the darkness. I looked around and couldn't see anything since my eyes had no dilated yet. Suddenly I felt a snake tail coil around my legs.

"Well well well… look who wandered into my lair. What a tasty morsel you are…" I heard a whisper in my ear. Now that my eyes had dilated, I could see Priya's silhouette next to me.

"It's laundry day. I'm here to collect your dirty clothes so I can wash them. Now cut it out and let me go."

Priya ran her scaly hands under my chin. "Now now, you can't ask something from me without offering something in return."

"What do you mean? Give me your dirty clothes and i'll give you clean clothes in return. Come on, we do this twice a week. You should know the routine by now."

"Clean? No, what I want is something a little more…." Priya stopped talking as I felt the tip of her tail caress my crotch.

"Dirty"

Alright, that's enough of this. I took my free hand and flicked my finger right on the bridge of her nose. It was enough to stun her long enough so that I could turn on the lights.

"Owww that hurt!" Priya complained.

"That's what you get for being lewd. Now then i'm taking your dirty clothes to the laundry and that's final. Or perhaps you want me to call Liz up here?"

Priya gave me a scowl. "Hmpfh, fine. Go ahead and take em."

Thank goodness. I scooped up all of her dirty clothes into the hamper and made my way out of her room. The less time spent there the better.

Now that Priya's clothes were done, I went downstairs to put the hamper in the garage where the washing machine and dryer were. See, early on when Ellie first moved in, I had trouble telling the difference between her clothes and Priya's. That's when I had the brilliant idea to get different bins for the two of them. Priya gets the hamper since she was here first. For Ellie, I use and old trash can.

You may be asking yourself why I use such an oversized bin for Ellie's clothes, when she is the smallest girl here. Well….

"Yo Ellie! It's Laundry day!" I shouted up at the sky after leaving the garage.

Today was a clear day, and as I looked up at the sky, I could make out a faint black shadow cruising high up overhead.

After a few seconds, the shadow banked to the right and started losing altitude. After a cool maneuver, the shadow disappeared into the attic window in the side of the house. I stood there waiting for a little bit, before Ellie emerged from the window and took off into the air again. This time, there was a huge wad of clothes in her talons.

"Look out below!" The Eagle harpy yelled as she spread her massive wings and dropped a wad of clothes into the yard.

That was my cue. I grabbed the trash can and did my best to catch all of the falling clothes before they hit the ground.

Thankfully I was able to get all of them. This was not my first time playing this little game, as Ellie first started doing this to mess with me. I remember the first time she did this, I spent almost an hour picking up pieces of clothes out of the yard. God I was so mad at her. When I confronted her about it, she gave me this smug little grin and told me that she thought it was funny.

After I got all of her clothes, I checked the bin and noticed that it seemed a little light.

"Is that everything?" I yelled up at the sky. Ellie didn't respond, but after a few seconds, I saw her go back inside through the window.

Ellie came back out with a much smaller wad of clothes in her talons.

"Bombs away!" The Australian Eagle announced as she dropped another wad of clothes. Except this one was much smaller.

Wait a minute…. These are panties?!

"Ellie! What the hell are you doing?! Don't drop your underwear in the yard!"

"Hahahaha! Come on Cole, clean it up!" Ellie laughed at me as she soared over the backyard. That damn bird! Ugh, well, might as well get started. Christ, there are panties everywhere.

I bent over to pick up a few of them when I saw a shadow approaching out the corner of my eye.

*SMACK*

"Oi now that's what I like to see!" Ellie grinned as she swooped down and smacked my ass with her big wing.

"Dammit Ellie! If you're not going to help, then just go back inside."

"Yeah nah mate, I love watching you bend over to pick up my knickers from the yard. Gets me all hot and bothered looking at it." Ellie was being kinda weird today. She liked to play pranks on me, but this one was way more perverted than the others.

Finally, I got all of the panties in the bin. Now I can put them in the garage and finish up by getting Liz's clothes. Just before I went inside, I saw Ellie fly overhead and drop another load of clothes into the yard. This time it was her bras!

"ELLIE!"

X

Thankfully there were no issues getting Liz's clothes. Her room was in the basement, so instead of a hamper, I used a big plastic tupperware box to put her clothes in. She had the same amount of clothes as everyone else, but since she was so damn big, her clothes were too.

"Hey Cole! Laundry day again?" Liz greeted me with a smile. She was in the living room watching some TV.

"Yeah, I'm going around and getting all of the dirty clothes. You got any?" I asked.

"Yes sir I do. Here, how about I come and give you a hand?"

"Aww thanks Liz! That's really nice of you." The two of us went down into the basement and she started getting her dirty clothes into the hamper.

"You doing alright sweetie? You seem a little stressed out." Liz asked me while she was going through her closet.

"(sigh) it's been a long day. First I had a little run in with Priya, then Ellie threw all of her clothes all over the back yard, and it took me forever to pick them up off the grass. I still haven't even got yours yet, plus I still have to make dinner, which I haven't even started on yet."

Liz gave me a sweet look. "Awww my poor little baby. Those mean little girls are running you ragged. You wan't mama bear to give you a hug?"

I know what you're thinking, and before you say anything, this is something that Liz and I only do in private behind closed doors. See, she is much older than the rest of us, and has very strong maternal instincts. Since it's my job to make sure that my homestays are comfortable and happy under my supervision, I sometimes… entertain her fetish~umm I mean~dispositions.

"Thanks Liz." Hey don't judge me! You look at this 7 foot tall giant grizzly bear monster girl, with her big fluffy arms wide open, and her massive bosom inviting you in, and you tell me you wouldn't do the same thing.

"There there. Mama's here. It's going to be alright." God I could just die in her arms. I'm not being paid to do this job, but Liz's hugs are a currency in their own right.

"Okay I need to get back to work. Is that everything?" I asked Liz. She gave me a mischievous smirk and handed a giant wad of fabric.

"Why do you have bowls down here? Are these from the kitchen?" I asked, but after unraveling the wad, I realized that these were not mixing bowls, but instead they were her bra cups.

"My my, don't you know it's rude to go through an old lady's underwear?" Liz gave me a seductive grin as I stood there holding her giant bra in my hand.

"Umm… oh geez look at the time~I really must be going~bye!"

X

Dinner was even more tense than the laundry. For some reason, everyone was on edge today. I'm not exactly sure why, but something must have happened for them all to be acting like this. Maybe if I watch some TV, I can learn something on the news that might help me figure this out.

Good evening, our top story tonight, monster girl marriage?! It may no longer be fiction after all. There was a new bill passed in the house of representatives today that would amend the interspecies exchange act to allow for marriage between host families and their homestays. That's right, Americans, who were once banned from any and all sexual activity between monster girls, may now be able to finally consummate their love… legally. The bill has gained strong support nationwide, but it's strongest supporter is none other than Senator Allen Gilmore.

The news cut to a slim middle aged man in a nice suit.

"This bill will change our country forever. I strongly urge my fellow senators on both sides of the aisle to put party differences aside, and do what's best for our country."

Of course this bill has also been met with plenty of opposition. Especially from the ***** party.

The news then cut to some woman senators crying

"If passed, this bill will destroy the lives of all women in our country. Already we are seeing divorce rates skyrocket as hardworking American women are being exiled from their families and being replaced with these, inhuman immigrants! I urge all of my fellow senators to keep their loyalties with the proud women of America."

*click*

"No freaking way. I can marry a monster girl?!" I sat up from my chair in surprise. Thankfully there was nobody else in the room with me, although, i'm sure the girls already knew this by now. Especially Priya. All that girl does is sit around and watch TV all day.

But the fact that these politicians are supporting this seems fishy. I knew from my time in the marine corps to never trust the government, but it seems like this time they're actually doing something good for once.

Uh oh, looks like it's getting dark. Did I take the trash out?

I walked up from the couch into the kitchen, and found a full trash can.

"Ugh gross. Alright, to the curb you go!" I grabbed the trash bag and walked out of the house to the trash cans behind the garage.

"Hang on, I think tomorrow is trash day. Better put the cans by the curb just in case." Thinking quickly I pulled the two trash cans out from the driveway up to the curb.

This is weird. The whole block is dead silent. It was a little bit after dusk, so the street lights were already on, but there was nobody around at all. Not one single soul to be found. No squirrels, no birds, not even a mosquito. It's like the whole world just stopped.

I looked up and saw the sky was clear, maybe a cloud or two were lingering around in the night. Right before I lost myself in the silence of the night, I heard a car driving down the road. They were heading towards my house, and slowing down to a stop.

This can't be good. Oh no, they're rolling their windows down. Shit, why didn't I bring something to defend myself with.

"Hey buddy, you need to put those trash cans back inside now! What's the matter, you got a death wish or something?" This middle eastern man barked at me from inside his sedan.

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"It's a full moon tonight! Leaving your garbage out is basically baiting those monsters to come to your house!" The guy was looking real shook. Clearly he was scared of something.

"Full moon, what are you talking about?"

"Whatever man, it's your funeral! Sorry but I gotta get home before they smell me." Shortly after, the man sped off down the road into the night.

It was getting pretty dark outside now. I looked up and saw the clouds were getting thicker in the night, but right when the wind picked up, the moonlight shone through them.

He was right, it was a full moon.

Something was not right here. I trusted my gut instinct and made my way back inside the house.

X

The inside was just as dark and quiet as the outside. However, there was something ominous about my living room. I couldn't quite explain it, but I felt like I was in great danger the longer I stayed here.

I had the TV still on, and it was playing some old horror movie. The one where Jack Nicholson chops an axe through the wall of that hotel while the lady is screaming.

"He're's Johnny!" He yelled those famous lines on the big screen. Okay, I have no memory of putting that movie on the TV.

"Priya? Ellie?" Nobody was here. "Liz? Where are you guys?" Right as I said that, the power went out in the house.

Oh shit. This is not good. What the hell is going on?

"Ok, calm down Cole, now is not the time for fear." I said to myself as I heard something slithering in the other room.

"That comes later."

Something must be up with this full moon night. I can't explain it, but I have a gut feeling that something bad is about to happen.

"Daaaarrrrllliiiinnnnnggggggg" I heard a voice whisper down the hall.

"Who said that?!" I pulled out my phone and turned the flashlight app on to try and illuminate the darkness.

"Fufufufu hehehehe" I could hear giggling getting closer. Something was in the house. Should I go and investigate? Should I try and hide?

*WHACK*

"Gotcha!" A giant snake tail wrapped me up in a tight embrace. I felt the giant mass coiling around me, trapping me like the prey I was.

"P-priya?! What's going on? What is this?" The king cobra lamia looked at me with a glazed look in her eye.

"Oh darling, it's a miracle! The two of us are going to be married. You and I, husband and wife, together forever." Priya put one of her claws under my chin. "Isn't that just amazing?" Now she had a maniacal look in her eyes. "Just you, and me, together… forever…. Ahahaha HAHAHAHA!"

"Priya, stop! You're not thinking clearly! Something's wrong~"

"NO darling, i'm thinking clearer than I ever have in my entire life. Everything is going to be perfect. You will be mine, and nobody is going to stop me!" Priya squeezed me tighter with her tail as I started to scream.

Before she could snap my rib cage, I heard a low growl from across the room. There was a glass of water that I left on the table from earlier, and when I looked at it, I could see the water inside vibrating with the thumping of giant footsteps.

Something was approaching.

"Let him go NOW!" A giant grizzly bear screamed from the darkness as she raised one of her giant claws and swatted Priya like a mosquito.

"Liz! Oh thank god. You saved my life." I ran to my giant grizzly bear housemate to thank her, but just before I could hug her, I looked up and saw that same crazy look in her eye that Priya had.

"Oh my sweet baby boy, she didn't hurt you did she? I couldn't stand the thought of another girl taking my little boy away from me."

Uh oh, this is bad. Liz is under the same spell that Priya was under too.

"Hang on Liz, just take a step back. Everything's good now. Don't get any closer."

"I'm sorry Cole, but I'm afraid I can't do that." Liz reached out and lifted up one of the lamps off the table, and squeezed it so hard with her paws that it shattered like a fruit.

"Mama's been watching you, and my little baby boy is all grown up. That means that we can get married, and be together forever. I won't let one of these little girls take you away from me. Oh no, i'm going to make a man out of you."

Liz kept walking closer to me, backing me up closer to the large window in the living room.

"No… please… Liz you have to snap out of it."

"Oh honey, by the time i'm done with you, you won't be my little baby boy anymore. No sir, you'll be my big daddy."

Gulp. Oh god, please help me. I don't want to die.

He must have heard my prayers, because like an angel in the night, a dark figure flew right through the window and shattered the glass behind me, knocking me flat on the floor.

"Back off you hairy cunt! He's mine, and I won't let anyone take him from me!" Ellie roared as she used her giant talons to cut Liz down for a little bit.

She must not have hit me that hard, because I recovered from the fall pretty quickly.

"Ellie! What's going on here? Why is everyone acting this way?" I tried asking her, as she seemed to not be crazy like the rest of them.

"Cole, you need to get out of here! It's a full moon mate, and they've all gone fuckin' mad."

"But Why?"

"Something about the full moon makes us all go fuckin' bonkers mate. I can't explain it, but shits fucked mate. Now get your sexy ass to safety while you still can." Ellie turned back to give me a distressed look. She was getting worried because Priya and Liz were starting to wake up.

"Thanks Ellie, I owe you big time for this." I ran out of the living room.

"Cole you fuckin' legend mate, you don't owe me shit." Ellie told me as I ran away. "We Eagles mate for life, and i've already chosen you as my mate. I will go to the ends of the earth for you, and fight any fuckin' cunt that dare tried to take you away from me!"

The rest of the girls were now back at full strength. "Where is he?!" Priya groaned like a zombie.

"Cole…. Come back to mama bear." Liz groaned too.

Ellie flapped her wings and hovered in the air, blocking the hallway to my bedroom.

"Cole is my mate, and my mate. If you cunts want him, you'll have to fuckin' take him over my dead body!"

X

While Ellie did her best to distract the other girls from raping me, I remembered what Ms. Smith told me on my first day. There was a panic room in my closet, so I made my way to the first floor bedroom. Inside, I locked the door, and the deadbolt. Then I ran into the bathroom and activated the hydraulic locks on that door too.

"Okay, I should be safe in here. Now, all I gotta do is just wait until morning."

God, this was terrifying. I have never lived through a hurricane, but I can only imagine it must be similar to this. Nothing to do but sit and wait out the storm brewing outside. All you can do is hope to god that your shelter is strong enough to withstand the onslaught.

*Bzzt Bzzt Bzzt*

What the hell, why is my phone ringing? Who in the world would be calling me right now?

Ronald McDonald

Oh shit, it's Ronnie? Why is he calling me?

"Hello?"

"(pant pant) COLE? Is that you?"

"Yeah. Where are you? Why are you calling me? Did something happen?"

"She's out there. I got away but she's looking for me. I need to hide."

"Ronnie slow down? Who are you hiding from?"

"(pant pant) A witch! A demon! I don't know. She's not human, she's pure evil." That's not good. There is only one woman in the world that I know who fits that description.

"A-are you talking about a woman named Lily?"

"SAVE ME COLE! Please, i'm at the cemetery. Hurry, I don't wanna die!"

*Click*

X

Dammit dammit dammit! Of all the rotten luck, my housemates have gone mad, and now my only friend is in danger. Shit, what do I do? I don't want to risk going outside. Lord only knows what the hell is out there waiting for me. The logical thing to do would be to stay inside my safe room until morning. After all, why should I gotta help Ronnie? None of the other marines ever bothered to help me when I needed them. Those bastards left me to die. Yeah, fuck those guys!

*BOOM BOOM BOOM*

"Cole honey, come on out and play! Mama bear won't hurt you, I promise!" Liz spoke in the creepiest of voices from behind the bedroom door. That thing was deadbolted to a steel reinforced frame. There was no way she was getting in here.

However, it was still pretty early in the night. That woman was a damn force of nature. I bet if she tried her hardest, and given enough time, she could break that door down.

Come on Cole, your comrade needs your help. Don't forget the first rule of combat.

No man gets left behind

"Ahh god dammit." I cursed myself as I went to the closet and changed my clothes. When I was finished, I emerged wearing a pair of camo pants and a black long sleeve compression shirt. Also, I reached inside the closet to grab the hunting rifle that fire had left me. It was nothing fancy, just a single shot bolt action rifle, but it was only to be used during emergencies. The thing didn't even fire real bullets, only rubber bullets. They won't kill you, but they hurt like a mother fucker.

Just before I made my final decision, I looked around my bedroom. To my right, was Liz doing her best to knock down the bedroom door. To my left, was the bulletproof glass sliding door to the backyard.

"Hang on Ronnie, i'm coming." I whispered before I left. On the desk near the sliding door was that book I found in the attic. The Monster Girl Encyclopedia. I don't know why, but I feel like this thing might come in handy.

X

Rather than risk blowing my cover by taking the truck, I opted to take the bicycle instead. Yeah I know, not very manly. However, It made very little noise, and had no lights on it. Not very safe, but very effective way to move around at night undetected.

The neighborhood was very erie. All of the houses were dark with their curtains and blinds closed. There were no cars on the road at all. Every now and then, you would hear some rustle in the trees, but I paid no mind. I was on a mission. My friend was in danger, and I was not going to let him die on me.

When I finally got to the cemetery, the sight before me was unlike anything I could have imagined.

There was a giant light coming from the middle of the cemetery, where there seemed to be a large mausoleum. The place also looked very crowded. I don't know who these people were, but there were a lot of them. The all seemed to be moving closer and closer to the giant light source.

I dismounted the bike and took some cover behind one of the tombstones.

"Come forth my followers! Our time is almost near. Soon, the portal will open, and our armies will march across this world."

I tried sneaking up closer to get a better look.

Yup, that's her. That's Lily. She seemed almost naked. However, she was now in her full demon form now. Horns, tail, wings, it's all there.

Wait, who is that? There was someone standing next to her. Someone I didn't recognize. She was shorter than Lily, but she had gray skin and wore a black robe over her body. I aimed the rifle towards her and looked through the scope. It looks like there is some kind of large stone cross floating behind her. There were these big emeralds built into the cross that appeared to be glowing. Also, she seemed to be holding a thick book.

Hang on, looks like there is one more person there. Someone in the center, where the light is coming from.

Oh no, no no no no…. That's Ronnie! Jesus, what the hell are they doing to him? He's lying on the ground, totally naked, in a demonic summoning circle, with some kind of magic light being sucked out of his body.

This ends now.

I aimed the rifle at the hooded woman, and fired a round. The rubber bullet hit the book she was holding, and it fell on the ground in an instant.

"What the fuck was that?!" Lily screamed from her perch.

"Let him go, you fucking Lilim!"

"Ohohoho, well well well. Look what the cat dragged in. If it isn't Cole Casey. Have you come here to offer yourself as a sacrifice to the mighty demon lord?" Lily was taunting me. That smug bitch.

"Let my friend go, and I'll kill you quickly." I cocked the rifle back. Releasing the shell casing and loading another round.

"Hmm I have a better idea. How about my zombie minions rip you to shreds, and my little friend and I use your remaining mana to finish our little ritual here. What do you think?"

I raised the rifle to aim right at her. "I think your last words were pretty shitty". Without any further warning. I fired another round. This time I hit her right in the chest. I didn't need to use my scope to see she felt that one.

"ARRGGHHH you bastard! Ladies, tear him apart!" Just like that, all of the zombies in the graveyard were turning around and heading straight for me. It was then that I noticed that all of the zombies were female, and sorta cute. You know, minus the whole "undead" thing.

"100 zombies versus one marine? That's not fair Lily." I raised my rifle and shot one of the zombies in the head. She fell right after I cocked my rifle to load another round.

"You should have brought 200 zombies."

Those undead women didn't stand a chance. My rifle easily took out a dozen of them, however, I was running low on ammunition. I only had 1 magazine left.

Rather than risk getting attacked and bitten by these strange life forms, I decided to call for backup.

"This is Corporal Cole Casey, requesting air support!" I yelled to myself as I pulled out my phone and turned on the flashlight again. This time, I aimed it at the night sky. Using the on off button, I did my best to make a big bright flashing light. Thankfully, my guardian angel was right on time.

Looking up, the full moon was blocked out by a giant silhouette of a pair of huge wings. The shadow grew closer and closer until she used her talons to rip apart several zombie girls.

"Oi cunt, there you are! Been looking for you all fucking night." Ellie called out to me.

"Good to see you too Ellie. I found our little friend back up to no good again."

"That fuckin' sheila is going to get an ass whoopin' if she thinks she can steal my man." Ellie climbed back up into the sky and made another divebomb to take out some more zombies.

"Y-you again! Damn overgrown chicken. Cole Casey, your little pigeon won't save you this time! You're gonna need something much bigger to take us down!"

I raised my rifle and shot at Lily again. This time I just grazed her shoulder.

"Something bigger eh? You mean like her?" I pointed off to the far side of the cemetery where a giant grizzly bear was running at ludicrous speed towards the battle.

"YOU DARE HURT MY BABY BOY?!" Liz shouted as she started mowing down zombies like it was nothing.

The battle raged on as I ran through the chaos towards Lily. She was starting to get nervous.

"What do you think you're doing? Stay back! I've got magic and i'm not afraid to use it!" Lily tried threatening me, but she was also doing her best to get the woman next to her to do something.

"Come on Greta, hurry up and finish the fucking ritual…."

"But my lady, if we finish the ritual, this man will die." The little gray girl who was apparently named Greta pointed at my friend Ronnie lying unconscious on the ground.

"That doesn't matter. Hurry up and suck out his mana so I can summon my soldiers!" Lily was about to pick up the book that Greta was using before I raised my rifle and shot it out of her hands.

"It's over Lily. You lost!" I yelled out while loading another round into the chamber.

"No, it is YOU that have lost." Lily raised her right hand and performed some kind of magic spell on my friend Ronnie. He woke up and started screaming in pain as Lily appeared to be using magic to suck out his remaining life force.

"Ronnie NO!" I screamed out in defeat.

"Not today, bitch!" I woman's voice called out as a giant lamia tail raised up and lifted Ronnie's body off the summoning circle.

PRIYA!

"Don't worry Cole, I got him. Now hurry up and finish that bitch off once and for all."

I took Priya's advice and charged up the cemetery hill towards the mausoleum perch where she was standing with Greta.

"Dammit, the ritual failed. Oh well, at least that wasn't a total waste." Lily raised her hand and lifted her hand into the air. Suddenly I felt myself stop dead in my tracks. It felt like I was suffocating.

"Listen here you little shit, you're doing this all wrong. See, i'm the one who is actually on your side. Kill me, and you'll be dead too. You're all going to die. Operation Lescatie must be stopped, and i'm the only one who can stop it. The sooner you all realize that, the sooner we can work together to save the human race."

Lily was choking me tight. Shit, I can't breathe. Everything is going dark.

*BANG*

"Let him go, you bitch!" We all turned around and saw that the shot was fired by none other than Lance Corporal Ronald McDonald.

"Arrghh… Damn you all. Fine, go ahead and oppose me. You're just dooming you're own race." Lily waived her hands and opened a big portal behind her

"Come find me when you learn the truth, Cole Casey."

Once she left, all of the zombies vanished back into dust. The sun was beginning to rise over the horizon, and my housemates were starting to get back to their senses.

"Hey Cole, you okay?" Ronnie asked me.

"Yeah man, i'm good. What about you? I thought you were a goner back there."

"Ahh come on man, don't you know us devildogs never go down easy." Haha, dammit Ronnie, you haven't changed a bit.

"Looks like the girls are already passed out. I don't blame them, they were up all night causing a ruckus." I turned back to look at the little gray skin woman. "Speaking of, what do you think we should do with her?"

"P-pardon me sir, but I mean no ill will towards you or your species. I was under the influence of the Lilim, just like you."

Ronnie walked up to her. "Greta, right?" The little girl nodded. "That was some real messed up shit you did to me back there." Ronnie knelt down in front of her.

"I loved it."

Both Greta and I looked at him cluelessly. "Umm…. what?"

"Won't you do that again sometime?" Damn Ronnie, never pictured you for a masochist.

"Do you mean, you wish to be my test subject? You wish to have me experiment on you for eternity?" Ronnie nodded his head.

Just for a moment, I could have sworn I saw the little Kuudere smile.

"Very well. I am honored to be with you, Mr. McDonald." Ronnie turned to look at me. "Hey Cole, what kind of monster girl is she? She don't look like any of the one's i've seen."

Thinking quickly, I reached into my pocket and pulled out my handy little encyclopedia.

"Hmm…. says here she is a Lich."

Greta saw my book and ripped it from my hands.

"Pardon me sir, but where did you get this? How did you get this? Who gave it to you?" Greta was going a mile a minute.

"Ummm… I found it in my attic. It was tucked into the insulation in the wall. Why? Is it cursed or something?"

Greta handed the book back to me. "This is a full encyclopedia of every species of monster girl from my world. This book did not come from earth, meaning none of you humans could have written this."

Now Ronnie and I were curious.

"So what are you saying?"

Greta grew an even more serious expression than she usually had. "I'm saying that someone from my world brought this here with them, and left it in your house, hoping that you would find it. What was their purpose for doing so? I am uncertain. However, with Mr. McDonald's help, I would like to investigate this further."

Ronnie and I looked at each other. He nodded. I nodded. The two of them agreed to meet me again later on after things calmed down around here. Part of me was tempted to call Ms. Smith and explain everything that happened last night, but trusting my gut once again, I figured it would be better if I kept this all to myself.
