Summary (Work in Progress): Everyone knows that a vampire, werewolf, and zombie spread their species through bite, but everyone forgets that there is one more that can do that. Demons. Luz learns this the hard way when she is bitten by a disguised demon. She's now a ticking time bomb of demonic power.
Luz was walking through the school corridor, she only had a week left until summer, which meant only a week until that camp. She scratched her arm, right where the bandages that were wrapped around her wrist. The other day, she was bitten by some kind of reptile, and her mom did her best to wrap her wound up long enough to get her to a hospital. The doctor said that there was venom in her bloodstream, but it didn't seem to be fatal, in fact it was almost dissolved by the time she got there. Still, the wound still itched. Luz walked past a blonde girl at her locker, when the blonde started sniffing the air. Her eyes widened and she looked at Luz walking away from her.
"I know that smell." She said, "It can't be."
She reached into her bag and pulled out a small black box with a snake insignia on it. She opened it and a black bracelet in the shape of a snake
"Awaken." She said.
The bracelet started to move and looked at its master, awaiting instructions.
"You are to follow Luz Noceda. She's been bitten by a Reptilian, I can smell the venom in her, it's strong, almost... almost of royal distant." She shook her head, "Contact me when you retrieve any information, I need to talk to my mom about this."
The metal snake nodded and she put it on the floor. It quickly slithered after Luz, easily finding the sent its master gave it. It slithered into Luz's bag, without her knowing, and waited for Luz to bring it home. Later in the day, the blonde entered her house. She spotted her mom in the kitchen, preparing dinner.
"Hello, Tracey, how was your day?" Her mom asked.
"It was... I won't lie, I learned something very bad." Tracey said, "You know Luz Noceda?"
"The girl who brought snakes into school?"
"Yes, her. She... she has demon venom in her!" Tracey said.
Her mom brought the knife down on a large fish, cutting the head off. She let out a large breath through her nose.
"I know you didn't do it, because I taught you how to use each venom or just not release your venom, your brother hasn't gotten his powers yet, so it was clearly not him, and I sure as Titan didn't do this, because I never used my venom to turn someone, even back home." She said, "Are you sure?"
"I smelt the venom. It was unmistakable." Tracey said, "And she's still alive, so she has the other venom in her."
"You know what that means, right?"
"She's going to become a demon, a Reptilian no less." Tracey said, "It was powerful, it might've been royal."
"Go to your room, I need to think about this."
Tracey nodded and her mom grabbed a book. She opened it and went through the pages until she found the page she was looking for.
"I don't know how you got to the Human World, but I will find out and kill you." She said, "See you soon, Brother."
For those that are confused, most demons have the ability to turn someone through a venom they possess, but like the story said, it can seem very weak, which it isn't. Tracey's family on the other hand, comes from a line of venomous Reptilian Demons, which gives her a venom that can kill you as well as the one that can turn you.
