Sora and his crew found themselves back at Traverse during the middle of the afternoon, they were talking a while to process what they accomplished as Doofenshmirtz looked up to the sky and notice the stars. "I think I can see a big dipper from here."
Sora, Leon and the Sneasler were looking up to see if that was true as Riku advised with seriousness. "We can star gaze later, right now people are going to have questions about that tower I warped in and they're going to want to know what you're doing here with us."
Sora looked to find a large beacon towards the Ranch District as Terra admitted to a golden rule. "Normally, you're not suppose to know about other worlds. But too many people figure it out anyways."
Doofenshmirtz turned in agreement. "I've seen Santa Claus snatch away a giant magnet I was using to erase all the embarrassing voice mails I've sent to an ex. When you have someone barge into your home, poofing up magic swords, someone's gonna notice something." Terra and Riku spaced out at the genuine wisdom as Kairi spotted someone overlooking modifications. "There she is!"
The band found Wanda and Stalwing seeing the Ranch getting expanded. At the north east is a frosty winter biome and the generator looked like it has many huts built with electrical charges in mind. Something for the electric types to play around with while feeding into a refrigeration generator. There was a vast open field going to a mountain that is giving a calling. Kairi called. "Miss Wanda, we're back!" The mayor turned around with quite the surprise. "I've heard of your departure in the morning. That's awfully quick." Leon has a case of balls and presented the Sneasler. "These are eighteen of the pokemon caught and ready to see the world." Sora took the Pidgeot's ball and let out the majestic bird as Riku pointed a thumb to the Sneasler. "This is a VIP and the others are pokemon that we're keeping for the team." The oldest boy sent out Raz and a taller Darter. "Sneasler is the mom of these boys."
The mother Sneasler presented herself in style and showed off her satchel as Leon explained. "She has a knack at having some treasures that no trainer would want to miss out on." Stalwing chirped, hesitate to hurt someone's feelings. (This is a conundrum.) Pidgeot guessed. (This isn't a place for a merchant?)
Wanda imagined what was said. "It really isn't, but at the same time this is the place that a Pokemon ought to go to." She shrugged in defeat. "Well if they housed a pack of Dalmatians, I think we can find something for a merchant on an extended stay. Just don't break anything." Sneasler waved in gratitude. (I owe you one.)
Riku reported the rest. "The rest of the pokemon are those we're keeping and need to have looked at. As for this thing." He pointed to the tower. "That's a beacon that Sora, Kairi, Leon and some boy geniuses have built. You keep that up and every pokemon in and around will know to come here."
Wanda found that convenient. "That would work in this umbra world." She focused on the odd scientist. "Now, I don't mean to sound rude, who's our other guest?" Terra raised his hand to vouch. "Right. Wanda, this is Dr. Doofenshmirtz. A questionable scientist from the world we just visited, he's agreed to help us with an issue that's going to rise up. We should discuss this with Jumba." Leon agreed. "As soon as possible."
Wanda gave the vote for as Riku suggest to the brothers. "Raz, Darter, go show your Mom the town. We'll come find you." Sneasler agreed to that and waved the Pidgeot. (Let's see the town, Pidge!) The bird blushed and followed the pack as the band went to the lab house, finding Jumba setting to work on expanding a habitat for Steel Types. "Some machinery, some who eat machinery. How to balance this."
He heard the door and turned on his rotating chair. "Ah, just in time, I see you've noticed our expansions as of late!" Leon breathed in, wanting to keep himself surprised as Terra admitted. "We saw some of the additions, there looks to be more room for the odd balls. But we have a bigger issue. We've confirmed a worrying problem just recently and I have a proposition. Riku?"
The teenager on the edge reported. "We've found Mismagius and it's exactly what we feared. Maleficent has her in her clutches and is forcing her to be apart of all kinds of vile deeds. The ghost is making... the mistake of openly rebelling against that witch and it's gonna get worse until she stops that."
Jumba cringed as Wanda gasped. "And if that was delivering results, then there's no telling what pokemon is going to be next. Have you tried tossing a ball at Mismagius in order to steal her away?"
Riku nodded. "Didn't work. but we know of something that could bypass the system of the balls." Leon had the Rotom Phone show case the device fit for an arm. "The Snag Machine. You place a ball into the glove, charge it up and use it to get to snagging a pokemon. It's normally been used on Shadow Pokemon, but the circumstances call for the approval on my part. As soon as we check on my cousin, we'll give the double clear to get started." He looked over to the scientists. "If Jumba and Doofenshmirtz know about how a pokeball operates, then maybe we can see to the creation of these devices."
Doofenshmirtz had his hands at his hips, thinking they're over estimating his skills. "So you think I can just make a dozen Snaginators over night or something?" Terra pointed at him. "Exactly. You've built that tracker with the stuff we had laying around in an hour. Since Jumba has made creatures that are similar, the two of you could figure this out in no time." Jumba chuckled deeply. "It won't be as easy as baking a dozen berry muffins, but the ingenuity of this would be childs play."
Doofenshmirtz thought out loud. "It's all about jamming that signal, if we build that then the rest of the Snaginator will be easy to build over and over again." He cheered like a typical mad scientist. "Then we can snag them all!"
Kairi approved of that plan. "That will be needed if we find more pokemon that are trapped with that witch." Leon whispered clearly. "But be careful, if word about this goes into the wrong hands, they'll be building Snag Machines too. And please don't get the names mixed up." Jumba chuckled. "You speak as if these Machines are patented legally?" Doofenshmirtz realized. "If that's never been legal in the first place, then we can name it as we build them."
Leon lowered a finger and put it to his chin. "Drat, you're right. They've been used for criminal activity when they came to be. So it's free game, but I'm still going to call them as I've been calling them." He huffed. "My cousin should be on her way by now, with the team straighten out, things should be progressing much more smoothly." Wanda recalled. "Most of that gang have made themselves known and dropped by. They said that Roxas and the others are catching that Drampa I've seen over there."
Kairi brought out her phone and showed another project that needs approval. In the mean while, we have something we need to build up, now that we have the time." She showed a door way. "We need to help Lil Bro establish a route between here and that city. I also think if we talk with Merlin, we can make a door for Doofenshmirtz." She winked. "That way, the agency won't worry about him."
The scientist was quite charmed by the good will. "That's sweet of you to consider that. Perry's got to have been worked up after I got behind on the routine, he needs to know I'm working a double shift here."
Sora had a strange pity. "Don't work yourself too hard, you're about to do a lot of good here." Leon agreed with him. "More good than you realize." Doofenshmirtz is honestly feeling it. "I mean, there's a standard when you have animals do your bidding and that Witch's crossed beyond that." Jumba promised. "We'll get started as soon as we're green lit."
Leon turned off the app "Excellent, once it is we'll deliver the data we have." and opened the door. "Most of the pokemon we've delivered are either excellent workers or have the power to be a medic for the ranch. Just mind the grass types, they'd like it if a place has sunlight."
Sora found his chance and asked. "Hey, we got to do some important stuff, do you mind if I borrow those guys?" A patrolling Stitch over heard and asked. "Island?" Sora nodded as Leon approved. "I guess you can borrow them and take Pidgeot with you, he could use it."
Riku looked quiet exhausted. "That would be a good excuse to split off and get some things done." The youngster sighed. "I'll volunteer to stay here for when my cousin shows up." Terra took to his choir. "I'll go get Merlin." He and Riku took off as Kairi planned out loud. "I think the islands would be a way to introduce a new friend to the Seafarers."
Sora blushed and wondered. "What was wrong with him in the first place?" Kairi sighed. "The Lady was telling mostly truth, but she's wanting us to find the cause of the scar on our own. It's a little safer if we don't have people listening." Sora understood as he and Kairi followed the trial Pidgeot took. Leaving Leon to sit by a bench and send out some of his partners, Jumba patted Doofenshmirtz on the back. "Now that we are partners, it's time I show a scientist around this project." The human of the two tapped his fingers together. "Just how big is this ranch anyways?"
At the train station in Twilight Town
Roxas looked eager with his back pack as the crew had a small case containing a couple of balls. He took one more look at the town he's spent nearly forever in as Poppy and her Raichu kept an eye on a log. "So, we're packed up, refueled and it's in the common interest that we let this Lil' Chef manage those three, now that they're getting the hang of cooking." Dupmic nodded. "Feels about right, all it took is the chance to understand what is put into those dishes and they start giving, instead of taking." Denryk pouted at something he'd miss. "And the Bistro has a full enough staff that it doesn't need a guest to help with the cooking. Like... good for them, even if they got what was coming to them."
Namine pat the Hoodlum on the back. "It's okay, I'm sure that would still be allowed if we ask. But now we're going to head to our next stop, see if we can't have a base there and take it a bit slowly." Denryk puffed his cheeks. "Hey, Brainy, I don't think the crooks are going to take it slowly either." Namine took a step back as Roxas gave the Hoodlum a poke. "And what happened when people tried to rush these captures? We had a missing fire bug and a whole town that was about to riot." Denryk rephrased. "I know that, I called Namine Brainy because she's the big planner. The towns rebuilding, so there isn't a lot to do besides the mission." Namine calmed Roxas down. "I figured that's what you meant."
Poppy had her partner sparkle to halt an argument. "Yeah, I wouldn't try nicknames like that when people don't know you that well and especially not in that tone. Are you going to keep that tough guy persona or will one of us have to rough you up."
Denryk gave Poppy a stink eye. "What's going to happen if someone doesn't get the que to not mess with us? The Boss can kick someone so hard that you be landing on the ground in a different world and Dupmic's no slouch with the sorceries he's gathered up either."
Dupmic was quite flattered as Roxas smirked. "We might need a strangers help every once in a while, so that could scare someone off." Denryk tried calming himself down. "You got a point. The people there ought to be nice enough to lend a hand or leave us alone if they're not going to help us."
Toot!
The train arrived and the band headed on in, it was a few minutes before the train took them through the Bastion and to Traverse. The band felt a good omen upon the twinkling stars, Roxas sent out Ceruledge to get a view, Namine sent out Arty and Naganadel, Denryk sent out Scraggy and Mimer, while Dupmic brought out Schemy. The Ultra Beast cheered like she was back home and flew off to the direction of the ranch as the Murkrow laughed to that and flew off at his own pace. They followed and found Wander and Sylvia being distracted by the fast movement of the Ultra Beast. The equine whistled. "Dang she got big!" Her companion was eager. "She's looking to impress her friends back over there."
Schemy cawed. (Impress they will be.) The duo turned to see the new arrivals, Wander waved. "Hey there, you must be the guys who helped settle that scuffle at the other town?"
Sylvia admitted. "We heard a lot of cool stuff about you." She guessed. "Let's see; Roxas, Namine, Den..rick and Dupmic?" Denryk gave a wide smile as Namine gave a gracious bow. "Then you must be well informed. Anything particular we need to know about?" Wander thought about it. "Well, there's this bright tower that showed up an hour ago and we've been seeing a whole lot of critters out in the woods too." Sylvia had some built up frustration. "And then the Mayor put us on order that we'll need an expedition team before we search."
Roxas scratched the side of his head. "Right, the Committee's busy with getting Registeel out of that tomb and that trip's going to need some tough pokemon, just so we can catch tougher ones." Denryk bobbed his head to a beat. "And the idea to train them up happened yesterday? So we could lend a hand for this camping trip?"
Namine wondered. "Anything happening in here that we need to know about?" Wander scratched the side of his head. "Come to think of it, Hater's been working on something real quiet since this morning." Roxas imagined. "He's been up to something, but what?" Sylvia wondered. "What ever it is, the Watchdogs aren't telling us anything about it."
Poppy pressed her glasses to her head. "Sounds interesting. We'll talk more after these guys settle things with Wanda, we have an announcement to make." The duo took interest and followed the band over to the Ranch, where Naganadel was playing around with Pilikia while Pueo was keeping a watchful eye. K'ui was playing a fist fight with a Machop and Timburr while Kilokilo was looking up to the beacon. Leon watched the second Naganadel play along and closed his eyes in a zen. "I know this trouble maker came from somewhere." He turned to the arrivals and smirked at some of the additions. "The party's getting bigger and bigger."
Poppy showed Leon the two balls. "We're letting our thieves work with the Chef at the other town and these are the two pokemon that are late to arrive. A Drampa and a Larvesta." Leon gasped. "Larvesta!" Poppy request. "I'll need to talk with Wanda about making an announcement, because this one is close to evolving and he could help the town out a ton." Leon approved. "Just so we'll know the time of day. Also, you might want to read about this." The phones shared a log and Poppy got to reading as Leon took the case, the cousin finished fast. "That is concerning, we almost lost that Drampa to that Witch the other night. Had our aid not picked up on the problem."
She had the four and the pokemon stay out for a while as she and her cousin jumped over the fence and headed over to where Jumba and Doofenshmirtz were at, the former showing a set of gears to put together. "And this would suit any mechanical capsule monsters if they get the chance. The problem lies with the fact some steel types have diets consisting of these minerals." Doofenshmirtz scratched himself on the head. "That is a problem."
He noticed the cousins arriving. "Oh, you must be that cousin." Poppy nodded and looked over to the Lab. "We're discussing the rest in there." The adults followed the command, back in somewhere with closed doors, Poppy and Leon made sure no noise would escape. The girl had her phone prepared. "You have my approval for building a couple of Snag Machines. It's very clear that most of our villains would abuse these pokemon in ways I don't wish to speak of. Some of them are poachers at best and at worst they would bring about the you know whats." Jumba explained. "She speaks of the Shadow Pokemon. Very dangerous, very unstable and unethical even for my standards as a scientist."
Doofenshmirtz was tempted to ask and realize that might be a bad idea. "I'll read on the details later."
Blip!
Data was downloaded and Poppy looked to the unused pokeballs. "You should have everything you need to make those, let us know when it's ready but keep it secret." The grown ups understood and the children opened everything back up. "We have something incredible to show soon, be ready soon."
The cousins returned back to the secret squad and Poppy remembered to ask. "Leon, the others have taken off somewhere, correct?" The youngster nodded. "Yeah, they'll be back soon." Poppy was pleased as she noticed Wanda returning from an errand. "Look at this merry band. You missed your brethren just now." Roxas didn't mind. "They'll be back here. Poppy caught a special pokemon and we'd like the townsfolk to watch."
Wanda nodded. "I'll see that they're gathered while you all make yourselves at home. We have a lot to go over for your next task."
At a nearby hotel.
Riku was using the rented resting quarters to try and work out his frustrations alone. He let out King and the rocky mane Growlithe before laying on a bed head first and use a fist to lightly bang on the wall. Upsetting the Slowking and the Growlithe, the King taped Riku on the head as the Growlithe jumped to the side of the bed and licked a finger. Riku felt a hand rubbing and a voice speaking in his mind. "Let those thoughts be words Riku. Only me and Growlithe can hear through this."
Riku let his thoughts through. "King, you know Mismagius wanted nothing to do with that witch. When she thought she had a chance, she went to us and begged for us to help her. We couldn't do anything beside defending ourselves." He breathed through a pillow and lifted his head up, thinking what he'd done to cause such a fate. "Should I have tried following her when I had the chance to catch her?"
The Slowking sighed. "So much was going on at the time that we didn't think that someone was watching us. Misdreavus didn't felt like she was ready too and that side of the world was going to blow. Do we have something that's going to rescue her?" Riku puffed his cheeks, looking like a crossing between an impatient teenager and an adult that was accepting a realer scenario. "We have some dumb approvals we need to get through and our egg heads will be getting to work. Until we get the results, we're going to have to put up with this." He leaned over the bed and petted the Growlithe who licked him on the nose. "With so many of you guys, it's getting harder to keep track. Growlithe and Raz just need to evolve and we'll be set."
The Slowking nodded to that. "We'll have better luck tonight, although Sneasler could have a stone we'll need." Riku laughed. "One that we can use when we're ready." He sat up with his angst out of his system. "Alright, now I think that's out of me now." He smiled to the two. "I needed that, thank you King." He petted the dog. "You too Growlithe."
The dog wagged his tail as Riku looked to the occupied ball he has with him. Pop! He let out a Flutter Mane that was sensing a slew of emotions that were let out. She wiggled her wild hair as Riku projected his thought. "Flutter Mane... Penumbra." The ghost focused on that name. "I know of that word, when moon eclipses the sun and cast about shadows." Riku shrugged. "I know quite a bit about that. You finally seeing what we're dealing with?"
The Flutter Mane wiggled her lips. "I've heard that girls pleas." She faced her eyes away. "It is not a pleasing experience, to say the least." Riku breathed out with regret. "I've been tricked along into that Witches game before and I kept diving deeper into the Dark until I wasn't even myself anymore. It took a year, to get off that stuff and I get.. nervous when I see someone go down that kind of road. A dumb kid who kept exploring and picked up things that saved us all in the end, became a ripe target for the Dark Seekers to bring along that ruinous path. And they've tried to bring about force when that kid said no." Flutter Mane cringed. "That's... unfortunate. And we're seeing that kind of force once again?"
Riku nodded. "The only thing that would have been worse is if Maleficent really was getting involved with this way to create Shadow Pokemon." He raised his hands up. "Thank the Light, that's not the case. As vile as she is, she wouldn't try something if she knew it would bite her in the butt in the end. She would try to be careful about it." He calmed down. "I get scared when I know bad things are happening to my friends and I don't know what to do."
Penumbra cringed, realizing what actually transpired back at Halloween Town's fields. "Understandable, then I happened to have shown up with naught of the knowledge. Little wonder that you went about your instincts. My attitude done nothing to aid you on the matter." She raised her hairs like they were hands. "Had that witch not happen, you would have made that girl your partner instead and most of the gripes from me would have never came to be."
Riku had a correction for her. "You would have still raised a ton of questions, why are you stronger than your cousin? Why do you look more like Misdreavus than a Mismagius when you are stronger? Where have you even come from?" The last question stuck out. "Every description said you came from the prehistoric times. But that Lady made it clear she had a hand in how you came to be, but you don't remember any of it."
Penumbra shook her head. "Everything prior to entering the world has been like a dream. No beginning, but certainly having an end. Yet, the crystal and I are connected all the more." Riku added in. "We've seen how wild each trip into the labyrinth can get. But they have two things in common. Some of them take the form of something you'd find in pre history, while others have a hint at something we can find in the future. You share an ability that those like the Great Tusk have. While the Bundle shares an ability the other robots have. Both can be triggered by a supplement that woman's created. Kairi dived into that Bundles heart and saw something that would answer everything if we can figure out what it means. While that Lady has a strange scent, a strong light and something she feels guilty about."
King thought about it more. "It wouldn't hurt to know Kairi's side of the story. Diving into a heart can lead to a whole lot of things you don't wish to admit to."
Riku agreed with that. "Everything in there is laid to bare. But what's more, the ancient beasts and the robots of tomorrow are connected by something. Them being corralled into one labyrinth and co-existed as part of a story, confirms it." He relaxed, looking forward for the preparations to come. "But right now, we're still making good work. We're going to get the gear to rescue our friends, we have another world that's waiting for us and if you saw the Ranch, it's starting to get as huge as some of the districts. Until we're finished with this mission, we're going to try to be better partners. Understand?"
The Flutter Mane vowed. "I'm going to try to be better. Until the sun sets for the final time, we will be like kin." She directed her tendrils to the Slowking and Growlithe. "We will bring about the warmth of the sun to those who are lost in the cold dark, in the only way we can." The dog woofed. "By the guide of the Almighty!"
The Slowking held to the ticklish feathers. "We're traveling the direction ourselves." Riku blushed and stood up. "So let's see that bigger world. Together." The Flutter Mane blushed as the boy stretched and spoke out loud. "Since we have nothing better to do, how about we go bug Sora and see what he's trying to do. He usually falls asleep when we build something together." The ghost giggled as her partner headed over to the door.
At the correct prediction.
Sora and Kairi sneaked to the world of the Isles, having a socialization adventure in mind. The boy had a pretty simple idea as the princess lead the way to an old hideout. By a house is a certain blonde woman that is keeping herself hidden, while observing something. The duo were surprised and Kairi spoke out loud. "Deborah, what are you doing here?"
The voice caused the woman to turn dramatically, her eyes were set to Sora and she stuttered nervously. "Uh, um, um!" She thought of something, put her hands to her hips and answered proudly. "That train's been connecting to worlds and towns that are complete odd balls from each other. Since there isn't a whole lot of fighting around here anymore, I thought I check for fresher goods." She nodded confidently. "Nothing like the tropics to expand your cooking prowess."
Sora understood that. "Right, all those ingredients can make the grub go-" He puckered to signal taste, Kairi wasn't quite sure about the woman's words. "But why would you hide from the locals? They don't look that different from the Bastion." Deborah gave a sweat. "I don't want to say something that would make me come off as a weirdo. You've traveled worlds that are straight up weird, you get how one thing here can mean something else there."
Sora nodded to that as Kairi sighed in defeat. "True." She thought out loud. "We're going to set up a play area for some grass pokemon that would like the sun, do you want to help socialize these guys?"
Deborah gasped in surprise. "Me, over there?" She thought about it for a short moment and shrugged. "Sure, I can lend a hand." She put her hands to her hips and demanded. "Don't go easy on me because this is my fist time." Sora brought out a quick ball and promised. "Just take it easy and you'll do fine." He sent out a Pidgeot that stretched and noticed he was in a tropical land. (Woah, pretty looking place.) "Hey, Pidgeot, could you fly this lady over to our hide away. She's offering to help us."
Pidgeot gave that look to Deborah and waited for her to get on. The casual chirp was quite welcoming as the mother was on the back and held on tight. Sora pointed to the island on the horizon. "It's right over there, you'll see where to land." Pidgeot nodded and took swift flight as Deborah kept a firm grip and is puffing her cheeks.
Sora was getting anxious about something as Kairi whispered. "Don't you think it was weird that she was sneaking around? The apple falls off the tree after all." Now that it was mentioned, Sora felt there was something suspicious. "It's pretty strange, but she's a nice lady. What would she be up to?" Kairi wondered, knowing she's addressing the woman who raised Kendry. "Beats me, but it's likely for the sake of someone she knows."
The duo headed over to the beach, the Princess sent out Azu and Sea Fang as a means to secure a fast ride. The girl took a dip with her trusty rabbit. "We have Pidgeot ahead, swim steady and we can start having some time off. I hope you guys are ready for an announcement." Sea Fang barked happily as he waited for Sora to get on. (Mega buddy! We got another mega buddy!) Kairi giggled with him. "If Sora had a Keystone, that would have been one of the topics. But since Pidgeot can mega evolve on his own, the stone would only be needed for a sync." Sora thought about that. "Say, where did you get yours?"
Azu cringed as Sea Fang's mood turned dim. Kairi took a deep breath, there are worse opportunities to reveal truth. "Sora, when we get a chance, there's something I want to come clean about. I've been knowing about what Arceus has been up to since before the incident with the Wormholes. He was the one who made the Key Stone and the old charm."
Sora heard and took it in casually. "Oh." Then realize what he was told. "You knew about that?! How much did he tell you?" Kairi answered confidently. "Nothing we haven't figured out on our own. I held off on telling you all because it would blow our minds before it was time. We're going to rock the foundations of the universe once again, I just know it." She pleaded. "I'll tell you the rest once Iceberg and Biven are out with us, okay?"
Sora followed that with a promise. "What ever it is, your secret is safe with me." Kairi blushed and looked to the Seafarers, Azu was thinking deeply as Sea Fang knew what was discovered was something difficult to swallow. The four swam over to the Island and found Deborah sitting by Pidgeot, the woman was using her shoes to play in the sand as Pidgeot was using his talons to draw. "Squishy dirty, squishy and dirty." She saw the arrivals, unrolled her sleeves and waved. "So, what's the first thing we got to do?"
Sora smiled nervously, got off the Sharpedo and started by sending out Quill, Flowers and Dreepy. "Just let most of our buddies out. The more the merrier." The Comfey noticed the mother and floated by to get a smell as Dartrix stretched, feeling right at home. Dreepy spun around, chirped and flew to the Pidgeot to play around, encouraging him to partake. Kairi sent out her two Seafarers, who were pleased to see Pidgeot getting entertained. The land walkers approached the boy, who readied five balls and tossed them high. "Okay guys, this is your break!"
Pop!
Out came Rusher, Butterfree, Vivillion, Fomantis and Ivysaur. The one disappointment of this play date was the fact the grass types focused more on finding a place to rest and soak in sunlight, though given their day, it was expected. The Vivillion and Butterfree played around as Rusher sprinted in a zig zag and barked to Sora, wanting a rough playmate. Pidgeot laughed and pointed a feather to Sora. (I'd knew you got the Heart of a Rescuer! Everything pointed to this!)
The boy was charmed by the compliment. "I was just thinking, that a town always in night wouldn't be fun for these guys. Especially when they left a town with a ton of sunshine." The Pidgeot was proud of that. (You're alright, Sora.) He flew up to a tree and challenged the two. (Now let's see if you got the speed to keep up with these wings.)
The Linoone gasped eagerly as Kairi had to call a play match short and showed a net ball. "Guys, before you challenge each other. I want you all to meet this Bundle." The band gave attention to the Princess that informed the woman. "Deborah, we've been meeting strange pokemon like that Iron Treads you've seen racing around. Coming to be somewhere in a strange world with in the crystals. This pokemon, came out with some issues and just looking at a Keyblade set him off pretty badly." The mother is surprised. "Sheesh. Knowing you, you brought that thing out as a way to defend yourself when he was fighting!"
Sora wondered as he brought out the timer all. "Was Iceberg attacked by a Keybearer?" Kairi gave a chilled tension. "I think he was, when a scumbag attacked a stray heart and... shattered it." Sora stepped back. "Shattered it?! How does that make any sense?" Kairi regretted that she doesn't have the sure answer. "I think Iceberg was someone else entirely, but he ended up having an encounter with a one eyed triangle we know about and he ended up evicted from his body. There's no telling what happened to that vessel, besides that the heart tried to follow his way back home. That's when some guy in a gray robe showed up and..." Deborah called a time out. "Evicted from his body? Ken said something about a demon with that shape and how that guy's a danger to everyone and everything." Kairi shivered. "Did he tell you what Bill has done?"
Deborah recalled. "He hasn't told me about what happened during that big battle, but he and that scumbag tried to hurt Xion somewhere in her head and brought out some things about her past that... made her sick in there. All because my kid had it with Eye Patch the Sell Out and scorched that face a new one." Sora felt his blood boiling. "Roxas told me about that, how low can you get just to get back at someone?"
Deborah doesn't wish to know. "Evil would sink beyond the depths if it means they'll take all of us down with it. What ever Bill has been up to, can only be evil. Was that triangle involved with that big battle as well?"
Kairi nodded. "He and this lunatic were the reasons the worlds nearly came to an end. We vaporized the lunatic, but Bill was sent flying. Ken got hurt the worst because of that, when he had to be the one to protect... someplace from those two, ended up in the Dark Seekers clutches and ended up possessed by a daemon." Deborah covered her mouth. "And then he ended up being used by that Nort guy for... something?" Kairi closed her eyes as Sora recalled the rest. "And that guy wasn't going to give Ken a break, he took his heart to power up that X Blade, along with some of his friends. Is Ken still okay after all that?"
Deborah doubted, while having tears in her eyes. "You're all a bunch of kids that had to go through Hell, you tell me?" Sora shook his head. "He's been a lot more serious the moment he goes on a mission. The guys seem to be fine with him though?"
Deborah felt her mind wandering. "They have what they need to get him grounded back to reality. So... Iceberg might have been someone or something else before Bill conned him out of his body and someone was working with the triangle to remove the heart from the picture? Aren't the Chosen of the Blade suppose to be protecting hearts?"
Kairi felt the growing rage. "Yeah and instead that someone did the opposite. The Heart is everything about who you are, if that goes... you're a lot worse off than just being dead. Mother said it best, they're super dead." Deborah thought more into it as Sora realized something. "Was that guy one of the ones who started the Keyblade War?"
Sea Fang growled. (Feels like it, he had a robe but did he have a fancy blade with an eye?) Azu nodded. (Yeah!) The Princess pieced together. "Just like the one who was imprisoning Regice. If Arceus said this right, Iceberg's heart isn't the only one. Most of those weird pokemon, besides the bike dragons, don't seem to remember anything, but have quirks that came from somewhere."
Sora felt his heart skipping beats. "Is that Lady trying to fix those hearts up?" Kairi nodded. "It seems so, through the power of the Labyrinth and Arceus. There's a pokemon that lives in that place, that is the center of that phenomenon." She showed the entry for Terapagos, Sora recognized the turtle from earlier. "Is this pokemon some kind of legendary?"
Kairi saw her boyfriend losing his breath. "The heart of the Labyrinth; he, the Lady and Arceus are working together to make a miracle happen and if we figure out that scope, it's going to blow our minds." Azu passed a warning. (Hope it's not literal! Now, let us get a look at those two.) Crinoid was still and speechless as Shooter bubbled. (Iceberg is a guest of honor for something we've always been wanting to do.)
Kairi and Sora let out Iceberg and Biven. The Iron Bundle landed on his feet and flapped his wings. (Finally out of there!) He noticed the shore going onto forever as Biven gasped. (Pretty!) They spotted their trainers and their pokemon, the Bundle asked as the waves made sound. (Is this where you call home?) He listened to the ocean and closed his eyes and Crinoid answered calmly. (Right now it is, it's close enough to the home we made that we'd let ourselves fit in.) He asked, knowing the waves were stirring something. (The waves sound pretty, don't it?) The Iron Bundle looked over to the ocean in wonder. (Right underneath it, is a world even more stranger than before. These waves feel like that world is saying hello.)
Crinoid laughed and shifted his eyes to the Azumarril. (He gets it Azu, he gets it!) The Iron Treads grunted in agreement. (If I wasn't so land bound, I would want to go down there and figure it all out!)
Azu puffed her cheeks. (Hold your Ponytas, we can't just recruit anybody. We got to be sure he knows what it means to explore the seas.) Crinoid gave off the smile of mischief. (Not like we had much of a reason to do it in the first place,) He winked to the Iron Bundle. (Don't worry, it will be easy.)
Sora was a tad confused. "Is there suppose to be a requirement to be a Seafarer?!" Shooter nodded and bubbled. (Not everyone can venture out to the sea and make that kind of life. It's a beautiful place, but it's not a forgiving place.) Sea Fang grunted. (You'd find someone with bigger teeth or can sting ya a lot.) Shooter pointed to his companion. (And you won't see it coming until it is too late.) He asked the Iron Bundle. (Why would you risk your life, to go out to the sea with us? What is your calling?) The robot thought about it (I don't know,) and looked to the sea with wonder. (but I can't find out if I don't try to look for one out there and see what can be seen.) Azu buzzed. (That's the same kind of answer the last guy had) she spun and brought out a badge. (You're in!)
The Bundle's eyes fizzled in shock. (What?!) Azu pointed to Sora and Kairi. (They've talked about wanting to go on an adventure a long time ago, them and this Riku guy, sailing the seas and finding what's there.) She asked the duo with glee. (Was there a reason you did it, or did you just wanted to?)
The Princess was quite charmed in her nostalgia. "That takes me a while back, but there wasn't a higher calling in that moment. We were just a bunch of kids." Sora blushed. "But, once we got that wish, a lot of responsibilities started coming. At first it was me, then Riku and then Kairi." Azu asked them with a passion in her voice and her fists raised up. (But did that yearn for adventure really go away when the work was done? Or were you wanting to go at it again on better terms?)
She pointed at the member of Team Nimbus. (Pidgeot, what was the reason you, Togepi, Trapinch and Grubbin want to reach far into the sky?) The Pidgeot felt nostalgic and felt a sharp memory returning. (Shucks, you're making me remember those Pidgey days.) He admitted. (We wanted to reach the heights no other flier has ever flown to before. From the top of the tree, to the borders of Rayquaza's domain! Just cause we knew we can.) Crinoid giggled. (And thinking about it, those three kids finally had the excuse to have an adventure together. Tagging us along for the ride.)
Quill hooted in agreement. (The adventures a strange one.) He perked to the band of misfits. (But we've found more who want to come along.) He wondered. (Hey, since we got an ice type, how about we have Darmanitan join on the fun? I think he'd like to know how you play around here.) Sora felt that was a good point and showed the great ball. "I'd thought it get hot for him, but now we know what we're looking at."
He sent out the Darmanitan that hoped and stomped on the sand. The Bundle used his device to blow some snow to keep the ape cool as he looked around in his environment. (Nice beach.) He asked his trainer. (So, what are you wanting to do?)
Sora pointed a thumb to Pidgeot "I was going to go play around with this guy, but..." he was a bit nervous to ask. "Do you think we can make a few ice burgs and skate on them?" Kairi gasped. "Sora, the sea requires a lot more than us to make something that sturdy." She blushed. "But I got an idea for this beach." Deborah saw the children were about to have some fun and sat by the Ivysaur. "He's right, they're cute together."
She was left to her thoughts as the Princess showed a spiral blow of frigid air. "How can I make this work without breaking apart the rhythm?" She snapped her fingers silently. "I'll just talk to that woman when I get that chance."
At Gravity Falls
Mabel and particularly Dipper were nervous about being invited into the silver base. Aqua had the door opened for the band, despite having the ladies initiative. The Keyblade Master clarified sternly. "This is going to be the second time we've ever had someone from one of the worlds be a major part of this. Consider this a high honor."
Ven followed on that knowledge. "We've normally kept any buddies who help us on the worlds in the dark about this because of that dumb rule. But every so often, they take the calling and help us further. Just most of those times they're a summon." Dipper blushed. "That's like... woah." Aqua smiled and spoke to the base. "Oχιά, Dipper and Mabel are our guests. They've come to help us make a report." The door beeped deeply. "Affirmative." The ship changed in tune. "Unknown life form detected. Turn around."
The band turned around to find something wandering in lost, a black H with a single eye. It spun in a silent hymn and looked to the four like they would be a help, it flew over to Aqua and gave a distinct jingle. The Keyblade Master brought out a quick ball and gave the letter a tap, catching it in an instant and letting him out. "And one more, Unown."
The ship asked in humor. "Permitted Unown entry. Anomaly?" Aqua laughed dryly. "Ha, ha. This isn't a pokemon that shows up out of nowhere. But we're about to share intel anyways." She asked the letter. "Is something bad, happening? Float up and down to say yes, or float side to side to say no."
The Unown floated up and down, bringing the adult to a headache. "I knew those questions weren't random. Come on, let's get to the bottom of this." Dipper thought to ask. "Aqua, if the Unown are the alphabet, wouldn't one of them mean a whole swarm of them is nearby?" Aqua nodded with dread. "Their power could mean anything when together. What ever brought them here has something in mind." The band stepped in and Aqua started texting. "I'm about to start a video chat, how are you guys doing?"
Riku answered. "I'm waiting for Sora and Kairi to get back from something. We've caught some flower pokemon that like the sun and we have a project we need to talk about." Terra was pretty straight forward. "Heading back right now." Ken took the text eagerly. "Discovered some really big stuff and we're reaching a break point."
Blip!
Kairi sent a picture of her, Sora, Iceberg, Snowball, Biven and various pokemon playing around with sand and snow. Riku messaged. "I'll pick up Leon and the Sneasel family while I'm waiting. I think our love birds are going to be occupied at the moment." Aqua laughed to that as Ven set up Connect. Ken was one of the first to log in, the one armed boy and his friends noticed the guests of honor. "Knew you two would earn the attention from Mo... Master Aqua."
The Twilight Town Trio hurried to see the Pine Twins, Mabel was quite charmed. "We heard about you guys? A trio of teens that like mysteries too?" Olette looked at Mabel's decorative sweater. "We've been doing that, like your sweater by the way." Hayner asked the twins. "So, what kind of adventure did you all go to this time?" Dipper pointed to Ken and an approaching Xion that was embracing him from behind. "We've searched down in that mine and found a bunch of prehistoric pokemon, an Aron and the door to Regidrago."
Mabel laughed. "Aqua caught some Glimmet while Ven nabbed that Togekiss." Xion was impressed. "That's one of the members of Team Nimbus!" Ken agreed to that. "We'll let Vikavolt know once we go up the attic. We got twelve Squawkabillies, three of the four colors each and they agreed for some training in the next step of the exploring. With them, Sharpy and maybe the Night Count on evenings, we can all take it to the sky. We also might have a clue on something fishy going on at this bio-tec company and some other details more of us need to know about."
Jump!
Daggers jumped up to address Aqua in a salute as Pence noticed two arrivals and stepped aside. Emboar appeared to wave as Sableye asked with drowsiness in her eyes. (Did I hear about a Togekiss being caught?)
Ven knew what was asked, showed the bag strap and let out the Togekiss, who saw the two members of Team Nimbus and chirped. (There you are, you had me worried.)
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Xion heard noise from above and went to get that as Ken counted down. "Just a few more and those rescue teams will be together. Master, have you seen anymore weird things from that crystal? Because one showed up at our base, warped some of us to somewhere and we had a fight with a Virizion that turned into one of these."
He inputted a log that show cased the details of an Iron Leaves. Aqua put her hands together. "Yeah, there was one of those down at the underground jungle. I think our pokemon expert ought to see this."
Dipper felt something suspicious about the robot. "You had a treasure chest after you beaten this and you were sent off to somewhere? Right?"
Ken nodded. "Yep, to a place under a Light House. We found the door to Eleki but we need Regice, Registeel and Regirock to open it. The Iron Leaves is guarding it right now and I don't think Pete or his buddy would nose in on there if they have the common sense. I think they sent some heartless to shoot at me, Xion and Racer when we were going around the city and having Gyarados go with his lesson."
Aqua sighed. "I think if Pete learned anything from the last time his ambition nearly cost him his life, he would go about this more... typical. Battling the Forces of Darkness is always going to lead to that exchange."
Ken felt some relief and showed a beast ball, Pence continued along. "We're getting some partners ready for our friends, we just need one that would fit Wasabi and I don't think we have any that would be a match." Ken raised a finger. "Unless we ask that small Pawniard if she wants to help with this." Daggers gasped. (That could be ideal. It would be more of us patrolling across this city.) His trainer gave him a pat on the head as Dipper thought out loud. "Think we should wait for the others before we head deeper? We ran into a Suicune that turned itself into this Walking Wake." Aqua inserted the data on the impressive dinosaur and Hayner confirmed. "Yeah, we can't leave the guys out."
At the Ranch in Traverse.
There was quite a gathering of people, hearing of an announcement. With the Leonhart visiting from the Bastion, Ienzo having a word with the gang, Wander and Silvia getting some popcorn and even the watch dogs and a clearly villainous looking skeleton in a red robe with thunder bolts at the ears length and yellow gloves. Along side him was a Watchdog with a long lightning bolt on his helm, explaining. "So if this is worthwhile we could lend some" he quoted. "help" and unquoted. "once they start setting up that exploration squad."
Lightning over heard that. "Yeah, you're helping and you're going to be upfront about that." The skeleton waved a hand. "Yeah, yeah. It's just boring out here." A nearby police official over heard and laughed at them. "Your contribution, if you accept or not, will be most appreciated. Hater." She asked the one with an eyeball for a head. "Anything else you wish to share with us, Peepers?" The commander flinched. "Well, we've heard some strange beats by the stronghold, Resira. I also been hearing some sweet howls somewhere around."
The woman hmmed. "You heard them too? I'm also aware of a past time you've partake in that brings some life to the mundane noise." She snapped her fingers. "So that's what you're planning?"
Peepers woken up more to an idea as Hater realized something and whistled innocently. Resira rolled her eyes and looked around to find a particular quartet disappear into the crowd. Terra, the Cadet, the Sneasel Family, Riku and his misfits appeared to bare witness. The teenage boy finished a text and called to the family of three. Resira looked over to Wanda and her retinue, who were anxious to something happening and to a duo of scientists that are taking a break from a crucial project. The police officer approached the Keybearer, who was having a wide smile over something. "It appears these adventures are lightening up the moral."
Riku turned and waved at an old acquaintance. "About time I saw you around here. Making sure this goes as well as it's going to go?"
Resira nodded. "That's the reason why I'm here. If it has something to do with our visitors then it could be enough to warrant me labeling them as an amicable ordeal, providing there's no one provoking them. I've heard that they've been beneficial to the cause as well."
The mother Sneasler had a smell and put a paw under her chin, taking interest as the boy blushed proudly. "There are some places where these pokemon can work in harmony with the locals and some where the pokemon do need to be located. Most of them are about as lost as you can think and I think you what the real problem is?"
Resira knew it is mostly a foolish, power hungry villain that is seeking to exploit the crisis for their own gain. "They're someone that you, Terra, your fellow Guardians and your companions over there are dealing with?" The boy nodded as Terra thought of something. "We've made contact with our friends and I think there might be a few things you'll need to know about."
Resira looked quite eager as Riku widen his eyes and took it into consideration. "We have a few things to resolve over here before we take off again, so I think this could work. Are you aware of a certain excavation at the Bastion?"
Resira nodded. "Wanda and I have been informed, I presume his Majesty and his cohorts are making those preparations as we speak. I'm always aware that the entity that is committing the unspeakable atrocity upon these creatures as a way to sow chaos is more of a demon than anything in particular. Are there any more reasons why I wish to be involved? Because an evil like that needs to be destroyed and purged."
Riku and Terra noticed a particular couple, Azu, Pidgeot, an energized Dartrix and the duo of an Iron Bundle and Iron Treads. Along with Mickey, Goofy and the Duck Family. "I'm only saying this, because there are four close friends of ours that are going to be working in this town and I want to be sure this scumbag keeps his mitts as far away from them as possible." The police officer smiled to him and promised. "The ones who are partially responsible for this event?" Slowking shrugged. (Maybe.)
The Flutter Mane pouted in complaint. (It better be worth the time, because we have things to do.) Resira saw that Sora and Kairi took notice and took her leave to the crowd. "I'll see if I can't locate them. Find me when you get the chance."
Over at the front, away from the fence, Poppy was holding onto a ball and was seeing the gang more front and center. She readied a microphone as Wanda was given a notice. "Alright lass, I think this is enough people that are present."
With Resira taking the front seat and being the most critical looking. Poppy woofed and brought out some candies before announcing. "People of star lit Traverse, it has come to my attention that this town hasn't seen proper sun light since... ever. Without some proper sunlight, things won't grow properly, certain creatures that need the sun to survive won't be liking here and no one will know what time it is without using a clock. But a solution came crawling out of a forest in a town a few trains away."
She opened the ball to let out a Larvesta that is quite shock at the town in constant night. "Before us is a Larvesta that has survived the depths of Ultra Space and has likely been working to reach a point where he can evolve. Thanks to our volunteers, this Larvesta was discovered before it could accidentally set off a forest fire."
In a sudden, a blonde girl who was using a blue hoodie called out. "You mean only one person went with you while the rest of us were evacuating the pokemon out of there?" Poppy recognized the girl as Elrena raised a hand. "And the kid did all the work in catching that bug!"
The girl in white was surprised at finding something to agree upon as Poppy cringed. "You get what I mean. In some scriptures, the moth Larvesta will become is a savior for those who need the sun. But like any fire, if let loose poorly, they are seen as the herald of an all consuming flame. Respect the Sun and it will provide light that the town needs." She placed the candies down and watched the larva's eyes glimmer. He slithered to eat as Leon signaled. "Everyone, stay back."
The group did so in wait, the Larvesta took the supplement, gave a faint shriek and glowed. Swelling into a puff before bursting into flames and sprouting six great wings, he burst into a cloud of cinders and reveled Volcarona. He checked himself out and gave a twirl of a dance, Wanda was the first in awe. "That's definitely a difference." The Volcarona giggled, flew up into the sky, glowing orange and reaching the highest point of the town. He brought about a shine that while it didn't make the sky blue, the heat of the fire reached out across most of the town and made it like a bright day was upon.
A watching Litiza clapped as the crowd were taken a back. "Hah! Just what the town needs. How long is Volcarona going to dance like this?"
Poppy shrugged as Leon guessed. "I'd say a few hours to get use to this. Let nature take it's course and he'll be up there at at least... three quarters of the time a sun would spend on the side of a world. Take care of him and he'll take care of you."
Resira raised a hand and asked. "So what, we're to treat this random moth like he's a deity?" The young boy shook his head. "It's what people of the olden times would do, but if you treat him like a friend who has an important job, he'll grow to return the favor." The boy had no knowledge why his choice of words mattered as the officer smirked. "That's fair enough. So, how are we going to feed this creature?"
Leon answered and looked over to the clock tower. "Anything of grains or leafy greens, Volcarona's don't require much food." Resira knew just the volunteers. "Then it's decided, I'll have some aid build a nest in the clock tower. The sun would work marvelously over there as well." She marched off as Wanda ordered some of her men. "Let's get something from our supply line, with luck and time this resource will replenish itself.
The officials and the towns folk dispersed to their activities. Baring a Leonhart that was mesmerized at the miracle, the scientists that felt another discovery needs to be studied and the various gangs. Leon went over to the Destiny Trio and coughed. "Until Volcarona settles in, we have our options on where to make the ahem?"
Kairi was thinking about it. "Somewhere calm and somewhere that no one would notice." She looked over to the green house. "I think over in this building, there's a balcony that no one's visited yet." That is considered a plan as Riku asked. "Mickey, if you guys can give it a look, me and some of the guys are going to need to address this call that Aqua's started up. We'll be back later." He asked the secret squad. "Roxas, are you and the guys ready to report?"
The dual wielder undid his hoodie and announced. "Yeah, I think we can tell the others what we've done." He asked his hoodlum. "Denryk, you know what that means?" The gray eyes smirked wide. "Well, since it's you guys. It wouldn't hurt." Riku smirked and looked to the grown up. "Terra, you mind bringing them to your screen while me and those two set up?" The grown up didn't. "Merlin will be here soon to help us with making that door."
Mickey waved and promised. "We'll tell him what we're hoping to do while you all handle business." Poppy smirked in amusement and went with Terra and the Secret Squad, while Leon kept by the Destiny Trio. "We still got most of the day to work and there's a good chance you'll be on the move soon."
Back at Gravity Falls.
Aqua and Ken were keeping the communications alive, the one armed boy show cased an image of San Fransokyo. "So, that's the best part of exploring the city. So much stuff is put together to make it possible." The Mentor was quite envious. "Don't get too immersive, or it will just as hard once you finish your mission again." Ken blushed. "Yeah, it makes you wonder what kind of places are out there."
The bands saw a Two Sided Witch enter the chat, along with Terra. Blip. There was an odd delight in the band coming together and some of the misfits watching in the background. Ken tapped Daggers and had him jump down. "Hey Sis, hey Terra." He noticed the four behind the grown up as Dupmic waved tauntingly. "Don't play dumb, do you have any idea what your other has pulled?"
Ken wasn't falling for that. "A lot of good, otherwise you guys wouldn't be in the mood." He heard beeping behind the Destiny Trio and Leon, the band showed Flutter Mane, Iron Treads and an Iron Bundle that jumped up on the desk.
Kairi noticed the Pine Twins. "Master Aqua, I see you and Ven have brought guests." She focused upon the siblings and had a merry smile. "It's nice to see you two again, how have you been?" Dipper blushed red as Mabel whispered hushly. "Tell me your names." Aqua sighed and introduced. "Mabel, Dipper, you're familiar with Sora, Riku and Kairi. They are among the best we have in the Forces of the Light." Dupmic waved to the Pines and noticed a young Sora sneaking behind the Wayfinder duo before turning into a Zorua and jumping to the front screen. Sora gave a smirk at the mischief. "We wouldn't have gotten far without you guys helping us along the way."
Dupmic introduced the others. "The dudes mentioned Terra a few times, so I'll be brief with the others." He pointed over to the Ven lookalike. "Roxas." Then to the blonde girl with elegance. "Namine." Then to the gray eyes that undid his hoodie. "Denryk."
Dipper was surprised at the last one as Mabel saw what looked to be Ken with a thuggish face. Leon gave the Alolan greeting. "Alola! I might have been one of the reasons those guys are over there. Names Leon." He introduced the odd girl of the bunch. "And this is my cousin Poppy." The more serious cousin gave the Alolan greeting. "I'm just here to be the damage control. This might be monitored for a report later."
Dipper promised the tough looking girl. "Don't worry, I'm sure most of us will keep it professional." Mabel instantly proved the most part and asked the similar looking boys. "Why do all them boys look alike?! Come on, you can't be the same guys!"
Roxas groaned and gave a scowl that made Denryk lighten up in intimidation. "Not now and not anytime soon." Aqua pointed to the grown up across the screen. "It's classified intel. Terra, I take the next world went smoothly?" Terra nodded. "Yeah, but we have news that's leaving us with more to worry about."
Ken imagined. "Same over here. Dipper, Mabel... everyone. Caught something cool." He showed the beast ball and opened it, letting out a Kartana that unfolded himself into the paper samurai. The Ultra Beast flew in close and asked "?yawa raf morf etacinumoc ouy woh si sihT"
Leon and Poppy gasped out loud, the young boy spoke out. "Amazing! I see he's quick to learning what he's in now." Poppy pointed out a small detail. "Other than Poipole and Naganadel, this Ultra Beast is a little bit more social compared to the others. In their home world, the Ultra Forest, they live alongside partners called the Kartenvoy. Elderly looking humans." The Kartana asked. "?kcab teg nac I woh wonk ouY" Leon nodded. "We do, but that won't happen any time soon."
Ken thought out loud. "It's going to be a juggle to fit you in, but your cutting potential is incredible. Apparently he can learn just about every cutting move you can think of. Including this steel move that doesn't miss." Kartana chanted. "!tuc, tuc, tuC" Ken reported fast. "So, found out Pete might be working with some dangerous dude called Obake." Hayner added in. "We got caught in a death trap." Xion sped along. "And we might have a trial of something fishy going on at this bio tech corp. Kartana escaped from that place and we got into a fight with him and a Golett."
Leon gasped as Poppy asked. "Bio tech? Like biology?" The cousin dreaded. "That's not good if an Ultra Beast was trapped in there, then that fishiness is not a might." Poppy advised. "There's entries on pokemon that might be in there. From the Type:Nulls, to the pokemon brought back through fossils or worse, something like Genesect or Mewtwo." Leon went wide eyed as Aqua asked. "Type:Null, you mean the first stage of a Silvally?"
Poppy nodded and looked over to Roxas and the others. "I've informed them about some shadey dealings the Aether Foundation has done. The creation of Type:Null and the events leading to those helmets are some of them. A few years ago, someone stole some of the research material and passed them off to a place called Galar, where someone is able to create more of them for that exclusive battle partner. But that's not the worst backstory of these pokemon. Genesect was revived by an activist group known as Team Plasma, turned into a cyborg and had a gun built on their back. While Mewtwo was been spliced through the DNA of Mew and was intended to be one of the most powerful pokemon to ever existed. It was a success as something beyond a scientists control."
Xion gasped wide as Hayner yelled out. "What the heck were people thinking?" Poppy squinted her eyes. "Team Plasma is self explanatory, they've preached about how we shouldn't have pokemon accompany us and in turn, their cult leader only wanted Unova to be powerless once he took control of the region. Mewtwo however is a cautionary tale, just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Only a handful of these pokemon exist, but imagine being created for one thing and little else?"
Xion blew out. "I can relate. In the end, those pokemon are left questioning what they are, who they are and even if they should even be alive." Ken and Dupmic tensed as Olette pointed out the worst part. "And we can't just raid that place, because it has a reach across the city and we might end up on the run."
Aqua advised against that as some of the group were ready to suggest checking the place out. "Until you all are more equipped go in there, you could be heading into something beyond dangerous and far from your threshold." Dipper agreed to that. "I've seen enough mad science stories to know where that would end."
Kairi shivered as Riku blocked the image out. "So what's the good news?" Ken took over the report. "We got the blue print and spot to make that door. We have the partners that Hiro and the others might get along with, we're about to get through the next step in our flight project and Xion and I found the tomb of Regieleki. The details of that is in the link."
Aqua made it incredibly short. "We have aid from the Terestal Labyrinth, in the form of a Walking Wake and an Iron Leaves. A dinosaur that resembles Suicune and a robot build after Virizion."
Leon and Poppy didn't hesitate to check on that data as Aqua finished. "They're protecting our sleeping golems, until Registeel is freed and until you guys find Regirock. He is supposedly hidden in a mountain... somewhere. Dipper figured that part out." Dupmic laughed to that. "As expected."
He saw the mystery solver scratch the side of his head as Sora thought. "Mountains? I think there are some places I've been that have those." Aqua advised fondly. "The worlds have a way of letting you know something is wrong. Now that you know, they can communicate. As for our end, we might be about finished rounding up the lost pokemon. But we've been having issues with an intruder that is trying to piece that broken blade together and he's struck a deal with you know who to do so."
The Guardians thought about Braig, while the secret squad and the city squad spoke out loud. "Bill?!"
Denryk stepped out of line and was about to curse. "Is that guy stupid?! That Triangle's just going to use him to get into reality again and raise hell!"
Dipper and Mabel took a step back as Terra gave the hoodlum a look. "Getting mad about it isn't going to help now." Denryk blew out as Roxas kept by his cohort. "We have every right to be mad! Those two struck Xion in the head for no reason other than some sick kick and Bill's the entire reason Ken ended up possessed by a Daemon-" Ken interrupted him. "I know already." He looked over to the Pines. "Dipper, Mabel; you've met this Triangle before or something. If he shows up offering something, please tell him to-" *Honk!""off! He's nothing but pure evil and a danger to everyone he set's his eye on."
Kairi added to the warning. "He'd weasel his way into the service of the Chaos gods and he's had more to do with something that happened in the Keyblade War." She installed a file. "This is what me and Azu found when we dived into Iceberg's heart." Dipper was nervous in regret as Namine was imagining something of pure horror. "He's wanting to use that broken blade for something and who better to be a chess piece than someone who sold his soul for the chance at obtaining the Keyblade."
Denryk growled and went to a wall to bang his head against it. Dupmic, Namine and Roxas watched as the Replica went to pull him back to the screen. The hoodlum's beanie was loose, showing blonde hair, Denryk looked like he wanted to hurt himself. "I could have ended that if I'd aim for that crooks skull instead. Blam! Done! Happily ever after!"
Riku was wide mouthed and was half agreeing. "That wouldn't have stopped Bill, but now that we've confirmed it, I have a friend of ours that is ready to hear about what Braig is doing. If he ever shows his face around the towns or at the Registeel project."
Denryk shared a deathly glare that caused Ken's irises to expand. "He's gonna die, one way or another." Ken blew out as the light of home started to drain, he noticed the black H keeping watch. "Hey Mom, what's the H doing there?"
Aqua called the Unown over. "We found him wandering close to the base, right when we were about to enter. This is an Unown. part of a cluster of letters that can make just about anything happen."
Azu appeared by Iceberg's side. (Whu oh! Those guys don't show up out of nowhere.) Kairi thought to ask. "Leon, Poppy, what do you know about the Unown?" Poppy froze stiff as Leon answered in memory of his studies. "A whole cluster of them, if partnered with someone who knows about their mystery, can make nearly anything happen and because of that, they're often seen in either ancient ruins that have connections to Sinnoh's mythology. It's theorized that they live in another dimension that is beyond the border of Ultra Space."
The Unown gave a spin and an urgent chime, Leon realized. "This Unown didn't show up on his own and I can't think of a good reason why Arceus would allow them to show up." Kairi looked like she has a chill. "Unless he hasn't and someone figured out that these guys exist."
Mabel saw Dipper looking cold and rubbed him on the shoulder. "If that someone is Bill-" Aqua went stiff as Ven spoke out. "We're going to need to hang up! If you don't hear from us by tonight, come find us!"
The band understood as the boy turned off the screen. Ven asked the Unown. "Did you get a good look at who ever brought you out into this world?" The nervous H shook left and right, the boy had an idea. "I think we know the guy who can help us track the rest of the Unown down. Everyone get ready, we're taking a short cut."
Aqua wanted to advise against using the shadow step as Shadey was tensing more serious, Dipper blew out. "We got to stop those psychos before they tear a hole into reality! Aqua, what the heck did Bill do to Ken?"
Aqua knew holding out on an answer would make the twins more terrified. "Bill and a mad man who became his willing host, worked with a dark Daemon Prince and lured Ken into a trap. The daemon possessed Ken's body and gave Xehanort and Archaon the opening they needed to bring about the near end of the worlds. Ken's a fighter, so I was able to get that daemon out of him, but things only got worse from there and it resulted in Denryk coming to be. Dipper, you know that Ken gets furious when those he cares about are hurt by the psychopaths that are out there. He would have done something reckless to spirit his way over here, just to make sure you'll be alright."
Dipper didn't wish to imagine as memories of black, angelic wings brought about mystery and terror. "Knowing how emotions affect you guys, that wouldn't have done him any favors."
Mabel imagined. "Underneath that kid is an umbra guardian angel that comes out when needed. I've seen his wings." The band kept together and Ven focused on a memory of the Mystery Shack.
At Traverse.
The three callers watched the screen disconnect entirely and Ken was left to breath out and calm himself down. "Mom and Ven can handle this. I just hope the Pines are careful." Denryk was feeling a head ache. "For real! That low life's going to target those kids if he figures out they've been helping us out." He asked out loud. "So why aren't we heading there? We can end this for good."
Terra answered, knowing fully the rising anger. "Because that would be too many people and this is their fight. Denryk, take a deep breath." Dupmic put a hand on Denryk and showed him how to do that, while Ken looked like he wanted to lay down. Sora was bummed out that it makes more sense to keep on standby. "So what are we going to do before we get back out there?"
Poppy was keeping things on log. "The Snag Machine project has been green lit, you need the foundations for that door made and there has to be a few more side steps before you rush out there. Consider that before you leave for the evening."
Riku snapped his fingers. "Hey, Terra. Has Aqua told you about how that Realm Gate works? Do you think she would mind if we borrow a piece?" Terra sighed. "She might, she's the Lady of that Land. But since she's busy right now, I say take it. I'll let her know that's my fault when she asks."
Denryk was calming down and shared a smirk of admiration with Ken. Riku followed with an order for the one armed captain. "If you guys took the time to know Big Hero 6, then I know you've picked some amazing candidates. Be careful over there, because it sounds like your dealing with something more than a typical villain you find on a world."
Xion was ready to escort Ken to a tranquil zone. "We'll be more careful. Also, be on the look out for any strange kids. Some weird guy named Joshua said about visitors in a town for the homeless. Aqua passed along a detail of someone Ven caught. Azu, you know anything about a Togekiss?"
The Seafarers do and Sora let out a Pidgeot. "If she helped him a lot, then she has to be one of the Nimbus guys." The bird gasped and was in a chirping fit, Ken found it half cute. "And you guys found one of the others? Not bad." He offered Kartana a ball to hide in as he let himself be taken to a couch, letting the Twilight Trio take over in communications.
