During a morning at SFIT, the squad of teenagers decided to take their practice to the work shop their friends are letting them borrow. If in preparation for an event that could enlighten the super heroes. Ken and Sharp Shell were keeping with Hiro, listen to a fast recap on what the escaped criminal, Momokase, has done. "And she tried to attack Cass? Sheesh, now she's on the loose and is working for that Obake creep!"

Hiro wasn't liking the sound of the recording. "Yeah, this isn't good." Ken thought ou tloud. "Between that, Pete and a cities worth that's still a problem, we need to figure out how we're going to-" Bump!

Hiro was so distracted that he wasn't watching where he was going and bumped into a particular girl who was busy on her phone. A Karmi who turned fast and was in a foul mood. "Watch were you're going!"

Ken recognized the girl and gasped. "Hey, you're the girl who's been writing that fanfic story the other day!" Hiro blushed and earned a snicker from the Dewott as Karmi appreciated another reader, she showed a phone containing a story. "You caught me right in the middle of my process." Hiro asked confused. "You're what?" The girl rolled her eyes at someone not seeing eye to eye. "Not that it's any of your business, but I'm working on Chapter two of my Big Hero 6 Fanfiction and I just got-" Hiro stopped her and tried to walk away. That's okay Karmi, I really don't get fanfiction."

Rwr!

Sharp Shell heard a growl from a small purse at the girls hip and Karmi groaned. "Of course you don't get it, you don't have a soul." Ken turned sharply at her as she showed a list of followers and favorites. "But I do, and so do a lot of other people. Like Fredelicious24."

The boys knew that username is Fred's and Hiro grew more embarrassed. "Do you think it's... you know, okay to write fanfiction about real people?" Karmi squinted her eyes dully. "Why would you care?"

The boy genius denied otherwise. "I don't..." The girl wanted to get back to her schedule for the day. "Okay then, got to run. Places to go, people who aren't you to see." She announced to the school "Chapter 2 goes live tonight!"

The crowd cheered as Ken was left in a cringe. "Sheesh, she's a handful." Sharp Shell agreed and called for the boys attention, Ken lowered himself to listen. The otter whispered. (I think I heard something coming from her, think we should follow her?) Ken had the idea and stood up to ask his friend. "Looks like she's taking that story telling pretty seriously, but I think that's the least of our problems today." Hiro whispered, nearly raising his voice. "It's just so..." He gestured out his frustration. "urk!"

Ken snickered in good will. "At the least, someone's appreciating what those Six do for the City. Just focus on school while me and the guys get prepared for a... lead." Hiro hid in his hoodie and took off, letting Ken and Dewott follow the trial to a biology class room. The two peaked in stealthily and found Karmi letting something out of her bag. Frustrated on her own. "He's such a stick in the mud. So, what do you think of this-" Crawling out of the bag was a strange, small white fish that resembles a piece of white sushi. With a belly sac looking like a bed of rice and pretty curious set of eyes. Ken checked his dex for an entry, seeing a match with a variety of three fishes and an alternate color. A rare variant of the pink sushi. "Tatsugiri: the Mimicry Pokemon: Dragon/Water. Droopy form. This species' differing colors and patterns are apparently the result of Tatsugiri changing itself to suit the preferences of the prey it lures in. This Pokémon tricks its opponents by playing dead. It is small and weak, but it uses its smarts to survive."

He checked the two abilities out; Storm Drain and Commander. He checked the more vague sounding ability out. "Commander: When the pokemon enters battle, it goes inside the mouth of an ally Dondozo if one is on the field. The Pokemon then issues commands from there." He checked out the other pokemon and found a giant blue cat fish that has resemblance to a sushi chef. Complete with what looks like a head band. Ken let out a barely caught laugh and drew the attention of the Tatsugiri, Karmi noticed and spotted the peepers. She gave as harsh of a scorn as she does to Hiro on a regular basis. "What are you even doing here?"

The Dewott pointed at the fish as Ken apologized. ""We're allowed to borrow a room as guests. For helping out with that school event and all." He focused on the tiny dragon. "Where did you find this fish?"

Karmi and the Tatsugiri raised a brow as one, the human asked back. "Why's that your business?" Ken looked to Sharp Shell and had him close the door, to keep noise from escaping. He pressed his hands together. "Promise you won't find it as weird as that story you've been writing?" Karmi shook her head. "Nope!" Ken sighed and breathed slowly. "Me and my friends are on a search for some creatures that might have gotten lost in this city. Coming in all shapes, sizes and... capabilities that you won't find in any ordinary critter. Sharp Shell's just one of them and we're looking at another that's right here."

He offered to give the Tatsugiri a finger pat that was accepted, giving Karmi a reason to humor him. "Like why this fish is able to be fine when out on dry land?" She pressed her hands together inquisitively. "I was on my way back from School when I saw some wet cat running away from an alley way, found this gal playing dead before it tried to go for a squirt."

That connected the mystery for Ken. "Right, right. "You found out the fish was still alive and you went for the next best thing by getting her" he checked the dex to confirm the gender. "into some water?" Karmi nodded. "I had a fish tank I wasn't using. You're not going to believe what happened as soon as she was at home."

The Tatsugiri felt more comfortable and squeaked. "Oi! Thank yo!" The duo gasped in amazement. (You actually talked to her?) The Tatsugiri nodded. "Oi! She listens."

Karmi blushed in a charm. "Glad to know I'm not the only one who's hearing that. This could be a whole new discovery." Ken cringed. "It might, but people could get pretty spooked if they hear this fish talk and especially if they end up like that cat. How long have you known each other?"

Karmi recalled. "A couple days ago when the streets started lighting up." She whispered a secret to someone who's listening. "Giri's my editor." That was secret the Tatsugiri was proud of. "Oi! She makes story, ai listen." Ken checked the logs on the other variants and was more astound. "Okay this isn't kidding when it says this fish is one of the most intelligent-" He hurried to his bag. "I don't want to tell you the whole story, unless you want to know about where me and my friends are really from. But I think there's a better way to keep Giri well hidden and safe, you just got to trust me on this."

He found a dive ball to pull out. "Just ask her if she wants to go into this before you give her a tap. Then you got yourself a really good friend in the making." He placed the ball on the desk and Karmi had a second look before recognizing it. "Wait a minute, that looks like a dive ball!" She gasped, looked to the Dewott and gasped before squeeing. "This has got to be a dream, there's no way that some Pokemon Trainer's right in front of me."

Tatsugiri applied a light slap with her tail, more than enough for Karmi to realize she's awake. She kicked like a young school girl as Ken asked. "If you remember some... disasters that was going on a month ago. Let's just say it's all part of a bigger picture. As soon as we're done here, it would be best for everyone if you try to keep it a secret from the bigger world."

Karmi calmed down and recalled the days where the whole city was thrown into a grim dark mass of chaos, with disaster adverted by the aid of masked super heroes that were straight out of a comic and those with a particular key sword. It was weighing heavy for the girl, who looked to her partner. "What do you think Giri? Should we go along with this?" The Tatsugiri wondered and asked the Dewott. (What happens in there? Is it bigger on the inside?)

Sharp Shell wasn't the best pokemon to ask that question to. (Well, you'll be in there. But it does get pretty spacious for ya, otherwise a bigger pokemon wouldn't fit.) Giri found that logical and Karmi stood up with the ball, ready to make it official. She took a step back as Giri hoped in preparation. "Go dive ball!"

Fling! Tap! Bop! Shake...shake...shake... click!

The girl had a sweat and hurried to let out the Tatsugiri that looked enlightened. Ken advised. "So, in case that bag's not enough, hide Giri into that if you two know danger's close by. Right now, you got to prove that you're a better body guard than a Dondozo." He showed the entry of the catfish and Karmi read out loud. "Treats Tatsugiri like they're the boss and follows it loyally... teams up with it to find prey." She recalled. "This happens in nature all the time. The smaller and smarter fish sticks with the bigger one for protection and to lure in food for the bigger one. I got to show that I'm the better boss."

Giri isn't denying the pragmatic reasons for the partner ship. "You's lot smarter than Dondozo, not as strong looking." Ken laughed to the fish. "While you're only weak physically but can more than make up for that." He checked the time and was in a hurry to take off. "So, remember what I said." Karmi hid Tatsugiri in her pouch and promised. "I'll let you know if I find something you might need to know about."

Ken and Sharp Shell hurried to the work room, ready to apologize for the delay. "Alright, that has to do with what we're about to ask you guys." The band of Big Hero 6 were intrigued, Fred and Honey Lemon paid attention to six pokeballs that have their insignia. The chemist squeed. "Here it comes."

Hiro took a moment to realize what Ken did. "Ken, were you following Karmi around?" The one armed boy nodded. "Yeah. Let's just say this. We found out about her editor and it's real identity is a certain sushi fish called Tatsugiri. The two are set to keep that secret hidden until it's proven that they should know about the bigger picture, anything else about that girl that I need to know?"

The college kids looked to each other and Wasabi thought about why that might be a wise idea. "She studies a lot of biology class too! So she'd figure out about these guys before you could tell her." Hiro groaned out in frustration. "How does that make any sense, why are you letting her stay with that editor?"

Ken showed the Dex log. "Because this fish is really, really, really smart and I'd be making a scene if I swipe it from Karmi right now. Which would ruin all this." He gestured to the balls. Hayner continued along. We've been looking high and low for partners can could help for when you have to meet stronger pokemon. Pick one that matches an initial and see what we mean."

The college kids, save for Hiro, went to check it out. Honey Lemon started with her initial and let out a colorful, Alolan Grimer that was noticing the purse and clapped. "Grime! Grime!" Gogo let out a Varoom that immediately left her gaping, the cylinder hopped and raced around, bringing a smile to the usually frowning girl. Wasabi let out a meek standing Pawniard, who's fast sharpening brought the attention of a Pawniard popping out of Ken's ball. Daggers watched his subordinate get ready for a particular task. Fred was caught off guard by the blue dolphin, Finizen, who stood up on his tail and gave an impressive clap. Hiro gave into the peer pressure and went for the one labeled for him, letting out a blue clay ball that unrolled and sprang up as a Golett. The form immediately caught his eye. "Woah, there's actually a pokemon like this?"

Xion recalled from her study. "An Automation Pokemon: Apparently it's a very old golem that runs on a strange energy." She focused on the Finizen as well. "That one is another special pokemon. Train Finizen up and you'll see what I mean." Fred repeated the name. "Finizen... Citizen." The Finizen made a bubble ring to flip through as Hayner reminded the band. "It's a pretty big deal to keep these guys hidden. So we can use... say, that mansions back yard for more training if we need to." Daggers sharpen his blade and whispered to his lackey. (Then the real job will begin.) The meek Pawniard saluted as Wasabi concluded the meeting. "So until we get the chance, where are you guys going to be?"

Pence explained some of the preparation that is still required. "I need some tips on how chemicals work for... reasons." Ken thought about the other task at hand. "And there's a job we got to do before we go ask the Iron Leaves questions." The mysterious lad, Joshua, comes to mind.

At the Afternoon.

The Twilight Town Trio's session went rather undisturbed. Pence had sticks lined up and with the use of a wool cloth pointed a finger to channel a fast spark that set them ablaze. Impressing Ken, Heater and Honey Lemon. Olette was carving a wooden handle while displaying the Skarmory feather while Hayner and Hiro were having a martial sparing match. The new comer used some pointers that the Sensei, Hariyaman, provided to make a good impression towards someone who was more of the expert. It was about to be the next session and Gogo wondered out loud to a near napping Xion. "Is there any new leads you might have found?"

The black haired girl was out of her day dream and yawned. "There was someone me and Ken met that claims to know something. It's fishy, but we'll learn something new either way." Gogo bobbed hear head as the Varoom puffed smog in an eagerness to race. "If it's fishy for both of us, then it's got to be someone we could look up too." Xion appreciated it. "A blood bank should know more. We'll let you know if it's some trap that's too much for us."

Ken and the trio over heard. The one armed boy asked out loud. "Think we should go see what Joshua wants? It's going to get late eventually." That is voted upon and the squad parted ways with the college students.

They headed to an alley way by the Noodle Burger and Olette questioned. "Ken, Xion, how much do you trust this guy? This smells... fishy." It wasn't just fishy, due to the restaurant selling fish products, Ken admitted. "Fifty/fifty, we end up getting jumped. Just leave that dirty work to me if it comes down to this being a mistake." As the band enter, they found a strange pretty boy sitting on a dumpster lid, Joshua gave a light kick and smirked. "Brought your friends along for this one, eh?" The trio brought out their pokeballs while Sharp Shell had his paws to his scallops, Ken kept a calm stare at the stranger. "What ever it is you know, I think we can handle it."

Joshua know the band were having their guard up and raised a finger to keep their attention. "Let's get this to the chase, I got a lead on a pokemon in a place far away from the city and someone with a kind enough light in their hearts are going to be needed for this." Xion raised a brow. "And the catch?"

Joshua looked around before allowing his finger tips to emit a strange light. "What is it?" The girl gave a sharp scowl. "You're not talking about a place that's in the world." Joshua gave a hmph and pointed to a wall. "Ding, ding! I'm counting on you all to solve this mystery once you see it with your own eyes." A door way glimmered into a great keyhole, awaiting for travelers to make an entry. The band kept caution as they traversed through the gate way of light and stepped out to the other side. The city smell turned into something quite rancid and their vision shift to something with an orange foggy sky.

The band felt the air to be decayed and adjusted their vision to find a whole city covered in trash, spanning to match the sky scrappers of a city. It was a shocker and much to their dismay, the only inhabitants that are around to greet them are the local cockroaches. Ken was completely bewildered at the state of the world. "How the heck did this happened?"

Olette wondered as well. "That's got to be why Joshua was so picky about this. Someone is trapped in this dumpster kingdom and it's got to be something to even survive here. Luckily-" She looked around and found the roaches scurrying away. "There doesn't seem to be any real dangers here that would want a piece of us. Just some cockroaches."

She and the band readied to set up their partners, Hayner brought out Maschiff while Pence sent out Grevard. The dogs were surprised and begun to sniff around for strange scents as Olette brought out Yeaster, who quickly raised her snot in disgust. The girl understood and brought out a heavy weight that could manage the pollution. "Iron Thorns, we need your help!"

Pop!

Out came the robotic Tyrannitar that gasped in shock and turned to roar. (Why the heck didn't you call me out sooner?! This place is a heap.) Olette knew that was arguing and explained. "This isn't the city we've been in, but hoo boy we'll have a word with who ever caused this."

Xion promised as she let out Lokix, who was in immediate guard. "Don't worry, we will." Ken smirked in his zen. "They'll listen after they I'm through with them." The dogs caught a whiff of something and hurried to the outskirts of the city, a collection of strange vehicles, with one of them having a hole blown up. They've inspected to find small robots with tractor wheels and eyes resembling goggles.

Ken pitied the machines and picked one up, cradling it like a fallen comrade. "Looks like who ever left this world behind, made these robots to deal with the trash." Pence cringed. "For all the good that did. They've been gone for so long that even these guys have all powered down, due to no one being around to repair them."

Ken activated a gummi block for transport and put the machine in. "There's one way to learn more, poor machine." The block enlarged into a capsule and with the robot placed in, it spirited away. Dewott felt that pity, looked around and called out. (Hey, who ever stuck here, we've come to rescue you!)

The band explored their way into the city itself, nothing more was found, save for more trash and a section that use to be a park. A section that of actually green grass and turned up dirt, with a lack of trash polluting the scenery. Something was scooping up the trash like a bulldozer and tilled the soil for good measure. Olette couldn't take much more and had a photo set to take a picture of the world, a distant building of trash came falling down. "When you don't take care of the world, you end up breaking it's heart in the end. Is there anything alive here, besides the cockroaches and bugs?" Iron Thorns was finding it grim. (If someone ended up stuck here, there's little to make a home out of too. This trash doesn't look all that sturdy when put together.)

Ken spotted a path that looked to be clear of the debris, even if some fortifications looked like they were ripped out from the earth. He pointed the way and Xion took a lead while signaling to the alternate curve. "You boys go sneak around, something's got to be here to make this trash go away." The three did so and let the ladies venture onward. They heard the sound of rumbling and watched another building come down, Olette headed caution. "Careful what you throw and pull, those sky scrappers could come down if we're not careful." Rumble! Chomp! The rumbling became more pronounced, like something was eating.

There were clouds by the ruins and a large shadow with in. Actively pulling apart the trash and feasting upon it. The shadow focused on what was left of a kitchen and reached out black tentacles that have mouths, pulling a fridge and oven into the cloud. The band took into hiding behind a truck and watched the cloud clear way, a wide eldritch black dragon. A Guzzlord with legs that look badly scabbed, as if burned. An Ultra Beast that is well documented for it's endless hunger and comparable to a kaiju. Olette was left fascinated as the others were keeping caution, the school girl asked. "Is this actually a Guzz...lord?" Xion recalled from her log surfing. "It's eating all that trash?"

Guzzlord wasn't aware of them and reached out for the debris close by them. From a whole sink to the truck itself. The Ultra Beast tossed the junk into it's mouth and set the girls hearts a racing, they and their partners took a step back as the Ultra Beast didn't notice at first. The small head took notice as it munched the sink and the body hesitated to swallow at the moment before taking a step back and finding intruders. It's blue maw opened to let out a bellowing.

AAAAAAH!

The girls, Dachsbun and Lokix were sent rolling as the Iron Thorns crackled up the green electrical spikes on his back. The Guzzlord tossed the truck at the band and forced the girls to make a run for it, leaving the Iron Thorns to take the blow with little issues. The Guzzlord saw that and let loose a pulse of darkness at the machine, sending it flying a ways before making a run for it, only to be intercepted by a band of boys. The Guzzlord howled in an outrage and sprinted, with Ken jumping and bringing out Kartana, who clashed with the dragon and controlled the blows of an outrage. Hayner and Pence took the chance to order as one. "Play rough on those legs!" The Grevard and Machiff sprinted at the wounds and scratched on it, Guzzlord howled, jumped back and swatted the dogs away with one swing.

Rumble! Ken and Dewott circled around the beast and used their blades to keep him busy while Olette ordered the Iron Thorns. "Rock blast that tiny head while it's busy!" The robot opened his mouth and fired a three shot barrage as Pence and Hayner switched for top. The technician of the Hitmons took the chance for a fast fake out and Ken saw the legs had rather gnarly scab wounds, black scales were burnt off and exposed tissue. The one armed boy cringed. "Eek! What happened to you?"

Guzzlord took a step back and saw he was out numbered, he closed his maw and cried out a heat wave. Ken raised his blade fast and conjured a wide guard barrier to deflect the heat as Xion noticed the burns and pitied the beast. "What happened to him?" She gasped and tapped a butterfly necklace in a scheme. "Don't worry guys, I'll take care of this." She asked as her blade glowed in green insects. "Lokix, make him lean back!" The bug type grunted and used her back legs to spring into show down mode, lunging at the tiny head and sending the beast stepping back. Xion aimed and unleashed a swarm upon the wounds, they pounced, latched and caused the Ultra Beast to go into a thrashing scream.

Guzzlord realized he was feeling something soothing and blinked as Ken and the trio realized what was happening. It wasn't long until he wasn't feeling any pain in his legs and moving them was more relaxing, the swarm broke away to show black scaled legs. The Ultra Beast used his tiny claws to scratch himself in confusion as the band stepped back. Xion phewed and put her hand to her chest. "I don't know where that burn came from, but it was hurting you for a while. What happened?"

The Guzzlord closed his eyes in a pout, what ever occurred was something he didn't wish to remember. He turned to a street way and made a run for it. Something that wasn't part of the plan for him. The Iron Thorns hurried to pick Olette up and charged after the Beast while Yeaster hurried behind to catch up. The band were ready to trial behind as Xion gestured. "Wait! Let's see where this is going before we try beating him up again." Ken and the boys nodded, the one armed leader thought out loud. "The knight is seeing that big scary dragon isn't as much of a monster as he appears?"

Further ahead.

Olette and her band followed the rubble and found a make shift cave that use to be a warehouse. With a small yard of growing plants and trash that has been eaten off. With in was a Guzzlord that curled up in a terror and turned around to find he was followed. The girl had half a mind to simply leave the Beast be, for in his ravenous appetite, he was making an improvement upon the world. She shook her head at that idea and jumped off. "Like it or not, we can't leave you all alone when there are things out there that want to hurt you. Yeaster, Meka, let's finish this." She prepared a beast ball as the Dachsbun barked in a stance.

The Guzzlord growled and let loose a pulse of power, he yelled out a heat wave that Meka endured. Yeaster's body baked up nicely and she gave a determined scowl. Olette barked. "Meka, blast him with a thunder wave while Yeaster works herself up!" The Mechanical Tyranitar shined in green and leaped to send out a shock wave that stunned the beast.

Yeaster barked in vigor as the girl followed. "Play rough!" Yeaster leaped at the Ultra Beast and gave a series of tackles. Guzzlord jumped up and down in a tantrum as Olette had Meka fall back and sent out Chan. The girl pressed her fists together. "Fake him out and let Yeaster try this again!" The Hitmonchan pressed his fists together and sprinted for a light tap that flinched the beast. Guzzlord leaped away from the Dachsbun and blasted out a dark pulse. The Hitmonchan groaned with the girl who gave a one two punch. "Back up move, ice punch finisher!"

The Hitmonchan spun his fists together, leaped to the side of the Guzzlord and sent out a fast punch of ice that sent the beast into a stagger. In a sudden, a comet of ice rushed behind the beast and gave a whistle. Racer and Arendelle were cloaked in ice as Ken and the squad were making noise to keep the Beasts attention. Guzzlord turned, confused and tired, giving Olette the chance to take her beast ball and toss it at his back. Fling! Tap! It landed in the street way and shook.

Shake...shake...shake... click!

Olette and her misfits gave a cheer as the Cyclizar and Froslass stopped their sprint. Giving the band time to watch the aspiring knight pick up her catch. Ken huhed. "A trainee and already you've snagged the scary dragon!" Olette blushed and brushed one of her side locks. "Well, someone had to make sure this guy ends up somewhere but here."

The courageous dog agreed as Olette looked to the hopeful scenery. "To think, something as scary as Guzzlord was actually improving the world a little." Pence sighed at a bitter task. "Guzzlord was that anyone who actually bothered to take care of all that garbage. But at least there's no one around to pile it all back."

Olette agreed to that, called her partners back in thanks and got on the Cyclizar. With the pokemon safe in their balls and nothing else to find, the crew went back where they came from and found the gate way already. They stepped over back to Sanfransokyo and finding Joshua where he was. The mysterious lad forwent his teasing and scowled at what was beyond the gate. "A whole world that became ruin and the inhabitants left it to rot! It's incredible what you'd find by digging around."

The band stepped off and Ken grunted. "Yeah. I think there was some robots built to try and organize the garbage, but even they wore down. I'm going to see if I can start up the one I picked up so we'll know what to do to keep that city from becoming this one."

Xion didn't wish to have that in her vision and asked. "How did Guzzlord end up there and did something try to burn him?" Joshua cringed sharply and asked back. "What did that Pokemon try to do when he saw you?" Hayner sighed in pity for the Beast. "He tired to get us to back off, what ever attacked him went for the legs with some really hot stuff and it's got to have been hurting just to walk. He was as scared of us making it worse as we were scared of him trying to eat us."

Joshua pressed his lips together in disgust as Xion thought of a silly idea. "I think we can have Guzzlord help us out, there's a dump we can borrow and it would really like it if all that junk is gone." The mysterious lad approved to that. "If you can patch up those burns, then he'll listen when he finds out that there's still a place would welcome him."

The crew looked onto Xion in pride and Olette admitted. "Funny that you'd say that. Xion used the old Life Swarm to do just that. An ancient form of magical life energy that can treat any wound, no matter how lethal or permanent it could be." Joshua was surprised and crossed his arms. "Hmph! Smart. Many would not have bothered to show that kind of compassion to something like that Ultra Beast."

Olette growled defensively. "He needed the help, okay?" Joshua brushed his hair, caring not for the attitude. "Now, what are you going to do next?" Ken pointed his thumb to the street. "It's pretty obvious, but we need to let Guzzlord know that we mean to be his friend. Me and Bryn will brain storm for that robot later and start working on getting it back online. By then, Hiro and his crew will be ready for our investigation tonight."

Joshua jumped down from the dump and smirked to the lot. "If that's the case." He started to walk off to the side walk. "I'll find you if I'm needing something again." He waved. "Good luck out there."

The band wondered what else they needed to know about the mysterious stranger and decided on heading back to Bryn, to pick up the Audino's ball while making their way to the city dump. They sneaked to a clearing that was wide and let out the Ultra Beast, who was a little blinded at the sunlight. Audino was let out and was astonished by the beast. Xion and Olette found a car to sit on while the Beast got himself adjusted, blinking rather cutely. The boys encouraged the Hearing Pokemon to give Guzzlord a check up as Olette called. "Guzzlord, hear us out."

The Beast had his focus on the one who captured him as the Audino started her examination. The girl pointed to the surrounding city. "We're in a different city now and most of it is not for eating. But there's something we can do to keep it from becoming like that garbage heap anytime soon."

Xion showed him the dump. "We got a whole yard of junk that's just making a land fill. If we let you eat away, will you help us if we need it?" The tiny head gazed upon the junk and the maw barked in approval. Audino finished examining and gave a thumbs up. (He looks as healthy as I can make it out. He just needs to manage his stress and he'll be fine.) Sharp Shell appreciated the critique. (We won't have to worry about that any longer.)

Elsewhere.

A duo of garbage men were working with their machines, to organize where particular pieces of trash were to go and were sweating at the busy day. They heard the sound of something heavy and of something munching. They checked out the noise and found a band of teenagers and their strange pets, overlooking the sight of a giant dragonic monster eating away at the debris. One of the workers were ready to call 911. "What the heck is that?!" The other realized what the beast was doing and stopped him. "Wait a minute. Is it eating all this garbage?!"

They had the nerve to approach the children and ask. "Hey, what are you doing?" The children weren't bothered over being spotted and Pence explained. "Trying to help you out a bit while showing this guy what he can do." Hayner smirked. "You're welcome!"

The man with the phone was wanting to take a picture. "Yeah, I think we should show this." His partner stopped him. "Wait." The Ultra Beast was shoveling various debris into his gullet as Ken kept the scene on camera and offered a deal to the grown ups. "We happen to know the guys who can really help. Let us keep this a secret while we send the data to our peers. Were you busy with something?" The workers were busy and realized there is something they could do for the coming attention this would bring.

Over at Sycronax's main office.

Liv and her assistant were watching something that was occurring for an hour in. News broke out of a dark menacing kaiju that was unleashed upon a dump and was finishing up devouring the garbage. Right down to the final heap. What ever plan the reporting Children had to keep quiet, was backfiring royally. A black haired girl was presented with a microphone. "Where did you find this Beast?! What is it?" The girl started. "It's a little classified as to what he is, but we..." she shifted her eyes in thought. "found him eating all the garbage in a distant ghost town and thought he'd be a solution to the pollution that can really pile up."

A brown haired girl joined in. "Pollution that can reach taller than the skycrapers around here if we don't handle this trash better. Find better ways to recycle this so it can help the environment, rather than blocking the way for nature."

A blonde boy joined in. "This doesn't solve the longer problem, but if we show nature that we're willing to lend a hand, she'll find a way with us." The Ultra Beast turned to the noise and looked kind of sweet while he was eating. Chris put a hand to his cheek in astonishment. "They couldn't have been the ones who-" Liv finished the thought. "It's them." She pressed on a keyboard to open up a log for the matching specimen.

UB-007. Gluttony.

"They know about the Ultra Beasts and of our little runaway." She checked pieces of old news, show casing that black haired girl and the blonde boy from older known news. Even with the three children being relatively new faces, it's obvious there are connections.

Back at the cleared out Dump.

The squad were considering the consequences of what they've done as Guzzlord was about to take a nap. Olette pat him on the hip at a job well done, called him back and whispered. "We've let out another kaiju?" She turned as Ken sighed. "Yep, we did. But if someone gets any ideas, they'll know who the night stands with. Until then, we got another part of the day to get through. Meeting with our friend and asking her about... something." He asked the bystanders, who were bound to have the rest of the day off. "We wanted Guzzlord to be seen and what we're dealing with is a mind blower compared to that."

They understood and backed away in gratitude. "If anyone tries anything, we'll vouch." That was appreciated. Ken and Xion lead to the street and sent out Cyclizar and Tauros. Th band put on biker gear and split to different rides. The boys were on the lizard as the girls were on the bull. It was a fast ride to the docks beyond the bridge. Where Vikavolt was chatting with a surprised Emboar and Sableye. (And they even gave the word to take care of the bigger trash problem.)

Sableye felt noise and turned to find the merry band arriving. (Look who's here right now.) The Explorers turned to greet the teenagers and Dewott jumped off. (Found a nice hang out?) Emboar grunted. (It isn't too crowded around here. What brought you all here?) Dewott pointed to the light house on the horizon. (We've got a lot of questions that need answers and I think we're ready to hear them.)

Xion thought and whispered something to her Tauros as the band got off, Ken had Racer stay put and readied the Gyarados's ball. "We got our mysterious guard, keeping Eleki safe for now and we've had our mind blown enough times that we can handle more." Fling! Pop! Out came the sea serpent that splashed into the water and coiled upward. He offered to the Explorers. "You all want to come with us and see this mystery through?" Emboar and Sableye were pretty eager as Vikavolt looked to the Cyclizar and decided to perch on a roof top, to keep watch.

Xion pointed to the sea. "Tauros, go take a dip in the water and keep afloat, if Emboar's too heavy, you let us know." The bull took that as a challenge and galloped for a splash, kicking upward and repairing his tails like they're a propeller. Emboar carried Sableye on his shoulder and made his way on the bulls back. Tauros kept a float and shot jets from his horns for more power. Gyarados, in comparison, let the humans and Dewott on the back of his neck. Ken and Sharp Shell kept a watchful eye, finding nothing laid out that would hinder their adventure. The band reached to the lighthouse and found the cave open and waiting, growing substantial floral grass since it was left. Emboar and Sableye climbed into the cave and helped the children get off the Gyarados and into solid ground. With in, in front of the door, was the Iron Leaves.

Sitting peacefully in the midst of her botanical hobby and keeping into a zen. Her eyes gave a shine to the presence and her voice echoed in their minds. "You've decided to return, with questions about my liege."

She stood up as Sableye scratched the side of her head. (Yeah. We're just wanting to know a little about you. Like... you look like the Legend, a guardian of nature if she was all metal.) The Iron Leaves looked upon the little goblin and smirked humbly. "I am a built machine and I chose the task as guardian and overseer. This is but a small part in the larger goal." Dewott guessed. (Which is all about that future?) The Iron Leaves nodded. "Indeed."

Ken approached with concern. "My teacher has stopped these low life psychos and they found some strange stuff when Giratina came to help them. He brought along some Storm Witch that turned herself into a heart fragment when things are over. The only one who recognized that fragment is apparently a prehistoric pokemon that was with Mo...Miss Aqua. What do you know about that and do you have a way into the Labyrinth? So me and my friends can look for more clues."

The Iron Leaves was pretty surprised by the audacity and calmed herself. "The pieces that you're mentor has found are connected, when your heart is missing something, it seeks to fill it in any way it can." Pence hummed. "So any of those pokemon, that don't know who they are, just need someone to guide them along? But what about you?" Xion recalled the answer from before. "She's more whole and she's not the only pokemon like that." The Iron Leaves focused upon the girl. "You are correct about that. I'm not the sole heart who's taken upon this great task for the future to come. You will know when you find another." She moved to the other answer. "Now, you're other request." She shook her head. ""I have a way to open the gate to the In Between. But I am not opening it for you. Some of you lack the merit as of now and you all still need to evolve and grow."

The Twilight Town Trio looked to each other, knowing there are a set of skills they haven't developed to optimal levels. Olette guessed. "Even if we'd let our friends in on what needs to be done, helped them pick a partner of their own and even rescued the big bad Guzzlord."

The Iron Leaves was quite amused. "Just because you are not ready for the secret, doesn't mean that what you've done isn't impressive. What you've displayed with the Ultra Beast, has only resolved one issue temporarily... but the people would be enlightened to what is needed for that harmonious future. You have the potential to reach it."

Hayner appreciated the praise. "Yeah, we've found out that even someone as big and scary looking as Guzzlord isn't just some monster we fight regularly. He was as scared as we are and all he needed was someone, anyone to figure out what's been going on and help him."

Ken added to the wisdom. "We haven't seen things from his side of the story. Only the parts that show it." He thought more into his words. "Parts of what that someone might have been." He suggests. "At the least, we know about more fugitives that we gotta look for and we got all the time we need before we meet them. We've let things out of the bag by unleashing Guzzlord upon the dump, so until tonight we can put together what we know about Thorns and the others while the city adapts."

The band were agreeing to that plan as the Iron Leaves giggled. "An excellent use of the time that is needed. Now-" Her being glowed in crystal and let out a light that reached the Gyarados and Tauros outside. "I would rather stay hidden, so do not intrude until you're ready to face us. Good day."

In a blink, the band of explorers and the water type steeds were back at the docks. Surprised by what has transpired while Cyclizar and Vikavolt were spooked. Bzz! (Did you guys use an escape orb or something?!)

Emboar turned to wave his paw. (No, no! I think the Iron Leaves did that.) Tauros jetted himself out of the water and shook it off as Cyclizar was ready for the next trip. At the corner of his eye, he saw something ascend from an electrical light. A violet machine that resembles him, Miraidon. The children turned fast to see the arrival and jumped, Xion gasped cutely and waved. "Well howdy there, Miraidon, right?"

The Miraidon shifted into his ride mode and let the girl give him a nuzzle before licking her in the face as a sign of affection. The robotic lizard stepped back and barked. (Leaves means well, the Labyrinth is a destination, not a whole journey. It's better to see what's ahead of that road, than to worry about where it's going to end. Do you all need a fast ride?)

Cyclizar sniffed him as Ken sensed a challenge from the larger machine that could fit a merry band of kids on his back. He and Sharp Shell got on Racers back and offered. "You guys can go ahead, I need to keep an eye on these guys while they catch up." He pet the lizard as Sableye smiled nervously. (Nice of you to offer, but-) She and Emboar showed their explorer badge and caused it to shine, the fire type oinked. (watch this!)

In a flash of light, the two spirited away in an instant, likely back to base. Vikavolt crackled a smile and was ready to take the long route back. (Enjoy the race and show this machine who's boss!) He flew off as Ken quickly changed his plans, calling back Gyarados as Xion called the Tauros back. "Okay they've gone on ahead. Who knew."

He stepped off for a moment and conjured Night Sky before having it turn into the saddle harness. Miraidon's tensed at the challenger. Hayner lead the band to the back of the machine and asked slyly. "You're going to race up against the machine?"

Glimmer!

Ken felt the shine of his blade take shape and crossed his arms while conjuring his helmet. "Racer needs a real challenger and you all have only gotten a taste of what it's like to just rush across the trial. Think that this machine of the marrow can match up to our skills?"

His stare didn't change as he and Sharp Shell got on the Cyclizar. Xion and the Twilight Town Trio smiled nervously as the one armed boy raised his cybernetic arm and counted down. 3. 2. 1. He clenched the hand and signaled go. Immediately, Ken and Racer were getting their wish as Miraidon crackled and accelerated with the stronger lead. Ken saw a straight forward race would be as one sided as it could be and tapped. "Rapid spin gust!" Racer rolled like a top and built up momentum as Ken called upon the wind for a fast boost, the Dewott was feeling his eyes scrambled as the Cyclizar used the boost to sprint and catch up to the Miraidon, reaching right behind him as they were at the end of the bridge.

The two were neck to neck at the turn and the local bystanders only had a glimpse of the wind and the hadron engine's sparks. Xion cheered. "Come on, we can still beat this! Just keep going forward and turn sharp."

Miraidon took that advise and made another turn as Ken conjured a whip of light and flung it at a lamp post, helping Racer make a smoother turn to contrast Miraidon keeping balance in his turn and thrusting forward. The base was close to sight and the lizards were at the peak of their adrenaline, the two stopped in a skid and slid nose to nose, turning to make a stop and were at the other side of the street. Ken was using his magic to make the road not so punishing to Racer's feet as Sharp Shell got off in a hurry and was on his hands and knees. Ken phewed as he and his friends got off their rides, Hayner raised a fist and cheered. "Hoo, maaan that was fast!"

Xion jumped off and put her hands to her hips while admitting to the underdog. "Ken, way to keep up with that!" Ken patted Racer as the Dewott was getting up. "What can we say, the challenge was answered."

Miraidon blushed as the boy and his steed approached. Racer wagged his tail in joy as Ken pet the side of Miraidon's head. "Such a wonder, waiting just around the corner." He blushed under his helmet. "Hey, if you don't have anywhere to go, there's an attic you could borrow."

The Miraidon was embarrassed and shook his head. (No thank you, I have ways to hide if someone gets nosey.) He blinked his right eye and caused a spark to condense into something, a small charm for Xion to catch. It was a violet wheel with a scripture silhouette of the fabled machine. Miraidon sparkled in electricity and was ready to take off. (Keep reaching that potential and no matter where the road takes you, you'll keep finding the sunset waiting.)

He roared out, curled up into a wheel and flew upward before disappearing into crystal. The band thought about that and headed in, where Emboar and Sableye were reporting to the Sensei. The Hariyama crossed his arms and wondered. (What kind of mystery are they putting in the effort to hide? We wouldn't judge.)

Emboar grunted back. (The kids might get stumped right now, if they know the bigger things that has happened around here.) Hayner hurried to a mat and sat down. "Thanks for that stunt, that gave Ken and Racer a work out." Ken smirked wide and went to the log. "We tied!"

Xion, Olette and Pence headed up to the living quarters, the aspiring swordsmen headed up to the attic, to meet up with Vikavolt and continue her craft as the alchemist helped himself to a table and experimented with a bottle of sand. Xion however, helped herself to a couch and closed her eyes. "Phew! What a day."

She relaxed to the busy noise and quickly dreamed about herself in the clock tower of twilight. Looking upon the world she left behind at the moment. By her was Volty the Electrode, who wobbled left and right in his crackle. The two shared a smile and looked on to the sunset while a light blue aura glowed by them. An aura that took the shape of a bipedal feline, shaped like a developing embryo. The shape didn't spook the two much, the feline asked in a timid, meek echo. "Who...who or what are you?"

Xion didn't mind the echo too much. "Name's Xion and we're just a bunch of friends who are trying to keep the worlds at peace." The strange feline was pretty surprised and perked in eagerness. "Peace? L...like what you shared with that giant?"

Xion nodded. "Yep. We're still a ways to get to the bottom of the real mystery. But Guzzlord's safe now. It's still going to take some work-" She and Volty looked to each other before continuing to watch the sunset. "but the bigger world's getting closer and closer to knowing each other." The feline's intrigued. "Much like how you've grown close to your partners, as they have grown close to you?"

The Electrode bounced eagerly. "Just like what the Almighty wished it to be." He blinked. "But what are you doing in our dream?"

The aura answered the honesty with honesty. "I'm watching the world outside of where I am. It's a strange one, much like what this is." Xion thought about the strangeness. "This is just a dream of a town I call home. We're visiting from there." She stood up and was ready to jump down with Volty. "It isn't much, but do you want to come see it?"

The feline might be blushing as the two jumped off, they felt themselves floating to the earth and were followed. "I'd...I'd like to see more about the world. About where I am." Xion and Volty felt a potential friend was waiting, the girl pressed her hands together. "Just a world that's apart of an even bigger one." She and Volty lead on while the feline felt welcomed.
