In a far distant, technological future, ruled under the grip of a temporal baby, an over weight fugitive escaped the confines of Time Prison and is on the run. Keeping himself under a black cloak as he attempts to avoid the Time Police. Who were in skin tight, black uniforms with green markings and a symbol of an hourglass. It's commendable the fugitive even broken out of Infinetentiary, either having the wits to do so or being foolish enough to actually do so, in spite of the consequences.
The Fugitive made a turn right into a closed gate, bumped himself and stumbled upon barrels. Proving that he is indeed, quite foolish. He tried to get up and rubbed his injured knee, showing a bald man in glasses. "My time knee! Oh Time Dang it!"
The Time Police were upon him, with hand cuffs ready. "Freeze! You're surrounded by the Time Paradox Avoidance Enforcement Squadron. Anything you say can and already has been used against you in future court!" "This is it Blendin, end of the time line. Any last words?"
Blendin was in a stutter and readied to shout a last resort. "I invoked Globnar!"
The police and bystanders gasped at something few would partake in, the Time Police brought out a PDA. "Very well, speak the name and century of those accused."
Blendin was glad to do so. "The two kids that ruined my life! Dipper and Mabel Pines, twenty first century." The Police pressed a few buttons and found a video of the twins mindlessly playing bat fight, while a Swirlix was nibbling on a Phantumps horned branch. The screen declared the twins as Globnar Tribute and the buildings from all across the city showed the duo. "So be it. May Time Baby have mercy on their souls."
They were all unaware that they were being observed through a crystal. With in the confines of the Terestal Labyrinth. Provided by aid of Terapagos, Suiten had her tribal wears changed out for the attire of a Scientist as she looked on. "So this is what you want to show me. It's true that these two have gotten involved matters beyond what children should know about. But I didn't think time travel was one of them." She tapped her foot nervously. "This could lead to new discoveries... but how can we lend a hand."
Terapagos gave a light cry, causing the crystal cavern to transform into a high tech facility with in a tropical island, entering in surprise was the Iron Valiant, who was off guard by events within the domain. (Is something happening? Does it need us?)
Suiten gasped as she put on her lab coat. "Valiant! We need to ensure that the Keybearers take a look at this, without hindering the Pine's adventure too badly." The Iron Valiant noticed the vision of the future and gleamed determined. (So it's time to give them another go again?)
Suiten gestured sagely. "It might, it might. But that Future doesn't look like the brightest we could find. The last thing we need is for the Time Police to catch a smell of what we're pulling over here." She snapped her fingers, hurried to a door and began to press buttons. "So... we'll need a way to play into their game."
Blip!
The door slid open to show an mechanical operating table. "You look like you've patrolled for days on end. Come take a rest while I figure this out."
The Valiant ached and went to inspect closely, before taking a seat and closing his eyes. His pink glow begun to turn off as he whispered. (I could use a rest. Wake me up when there's an emergency, Lady Suiten.)
He turned off and Suiten turned to Terapagos, pressing a finger to her lips as she conjured her blade and shined. "The power to dream can be shaped into reality if you stay determined and work for them. The desire for that brighter future and to find answers to shape it mix together, time and time again."
The Iron Valiant had a light shine out of him, taking shape of something humanoid. "For now, those pesky Wayfinders will need an antagonist to push them along and I need that heart fragment they hold. A hero of yor, rebuilt from a dream of my own, shall reveal what's needed to be seen."
Over at the Mystery Shack.
The Wayfinder Duo, accompanied by Virtu and Lady, were carrying a wrapped device, with the intention of surprising the Pines and aiding them in their next step as Pokemon Trainers. They heard a combined chant of something and entered to find the Pines and their partners at a vending machine. "Candy! Candy!"
The Wayfinders had a peak to see a candy pack be ready for dropping and fell side ways, stuck with in the machine. "No! It's trapped!" "Everything is terrible forever!"
Bronzor was ready to give a glow as Soos psst. "Hey dudes! You want to hear a trick?" He gave a few taps at the buttons and with a little shoulder work, caused the machines door to open. He took out as many treats as possible. "A genius taught me this once! This just in, weather stations are calling for a-" He tossed them freely. "candy blizzard!"
Dipper and Mabel gathered as much as possible as Phantump used his hollow head to catch a multitude. Sweet Puff caught quite the handful as Muscle Bear and Bronzor braced themselves. The Pines were typical kids, Mabel in particular was disregarding common sense. "Forget taking off the wrappers, I'm eating these now!"
She stuffed the wrapped treats into her gullet as Dipper admitted to the grown up. "Soos, you are the greatest human ever to live." Cough! "Mabel begun to choke on the candy and gave Muscle Bear a reason to grab her and perform a Heimlich maneuver. "That was a mistake!"
Soos took out his wallet and put coins into the machine. "No sweat dude! I'd do anything for the Pines Family."
"Soos, I need to scratch myself in two places at once!"
Soos was at Stans call. "And I mean anything." He called out. "Coming Mister Pines!"
He took off as Mabel was coughing out the candy, leaving his wallet behind. Dipper noticed. "Woah, better make sure he gets his wallet back." Mabel gasped, dropped off the Bewear and hurried to her brother. "Wait! I've never seen Soos's wallet before, don't you want to learn some Soos secrets?"
Ven rested a hand to his hip. "Mabel, there's a line you shouldn't cross." Dipper was agreeing with the teenager. "I'm not so sure if-" He noticed a card. "Woah! Soos has a membership to Laser Tag?" He checked the back of the card. "I didn't know they let grown ups in there." Aqua read out. "Fun for ages twelve and under?"
Mabel noticed something else in there and pulled out a slice of salami. "And look, emergency salami. Soos, my respect for you has grown." Dipper had a read at Soos's drivers license. "Soos Alzamirano. Organ doner, birthday July 13th." The boy realize. "Wait a minute, that's today!"
Mabel had an idea as Dipper wondered. "That's weird, I wonder why he didn't tell anyone?" Aqua shrugged. "Probably a grown up thing, where Birthdays aren't exactly that special anymore." Mabel gasped. "Not special anymore?! No, no, no! It's probably because he wants someone to throw him a surprise party. I can relate. I've been waiting for a surprise party my whole life!"
In a sudden, a pale girl with long black hair, glasses and a green sweater appeared with confetti. Tossing it at Mabel and cheering. "Surprise!"
Mabel wasn't amused and turned in a scorn. "Too little too late Chiu." The lass slumped in disappointment and walked away in gloom as Ven had an idea. "I think we know the kind of people who can help."
Crumble! Crumble!
Down in the Primordial Cavern, a braille writing was enveloped in light and came crumbling down. With in a small chamber, shined a blue Y and deep, growling beeps. Regidrago awakens to that light. He paused, wondering if he was dreaming and floated out to see the primordial land and a hole up above. He looked around, lost and confused, he noticed a Walking Wake of a beast, uncurling and standing up to stretch. "Finally. Nothing else was happening down here." She shook herself and smiled. "Welcome to your freedom, Drago."
Regidrago had a beep akin to a sneeze and showed a pattern of dots that could be read as. "How deep am I from the surface?" The Walking Wake closed her eyes and felt the confusion and uncertainty in the golems heart. "Deep, within the unknown depths of the world. Up above is the surface and the long lasting sun." She looked up to the hole and then back to the Drago. "Do you remember how you've awaken?"
Drago stilled in thought, remembering a dream of him and Eleki, being called by their brothers of Ice, Steel and Rock. Aiding in their call was a trio of humans with Keyblades and partners of primordial ascent and technological shine. As irritating as older memories are, the thought of Keybearers freeing them without a catch is the most concerning. "Key wielders are coming as we speak? They seek to bring us back together?"
The Walking Wake laughed and guided him to the lake. "You're right, although you will meet friends of theirs. We just need a way to call them and they will come." She turned with a snort of steam out of her nostrils. "We have a way to do it, as dragons should."
Regidrago shined brightly and hoped. "Yes! We do!" He shifted sideways and resemble a dragons skull, his red core glowed pink and he aimed to the sky, unleashing dragon energy as the Walking Wake joined in a chorus of a dragon pulse.
Over at a forming party.
Mabel called upon some of her friends to assist in putting together an event, Aqua and Lilligant arranged flowers while Ven and Dipper left a stage, instructing someone on a detail. "Once we pull the curtain, you do you!" The Brute Bonnet carried over a strange, zesty smelling cake and was having a mellow smile. He grunted and gave a little dance as Mabel instructed her burly friend, Grenda. Who was painting words on a tapestry. "It's your Birthday yo!"
The Pine girl commanded. "More exclamations! More!" Grenda went to painting. "Wow you guys thought of everything!"
Mabel laughed. "Grenda, twins are born birthday experts!" Dipper agreed with his sister. "We shared every birthday together, so we know how to make them perfect." They performed a strange hand shake with fists, kicks and party blowers. Bronzor gave a faint glow, a que Dipper called out. "Hey, places everyone! Someone's coming."
The group hurried into hiding, going behind the table as Aqua conjured a mass, illusory spell to make them all look like tables. Chiu was escorting a blind folded Soos who was playing along. "Alright, you promised a giant hummingbird, so I'm expecting to see a giant hummingbird."
3. 2. 1.
The blind folds were taken off and Soos saw a merry band leap out of hiding in a cheer. "Surprise!" Mabel announced. "Happy birthday, you King on Earth. We got everything you love."
She showed a pizza pie with pink frosting and cream. "Cake flavored pizza." Then the Pizza looking cake. "Pizza flavored cake."
She and Dipper brought Soos to the stage. "And one more treat." The curtains pulled, revealing a Bursty who performed a moon walk, leaned forward with his toes and had his head roll down his back before making it bounce to his head. Soos backed away from the festivities. "I...I." Mabel readied a camera. "Quick, everyone pose for the Birthday smiles memory album."
The group gathered, even though Phantump and Bronzor were sensing distress from the birthday boy. Snap! The photo rolled out and showed something unexpected, Soos wasn't too happy about his birthday. Phantump whispered. (What's wrong here?) Soos looked like he wants to get away. "I... uh... it's nothing. I gotta go fix a pipe or something."
He took off while using his hat to hide his sorrow, even Bursty leaned from the stage and was concern. (Surprise... failed?) Wendy and Stan approached, wondering what was going on. "Woah, do you guys see Soos? What happened to-" The teenage girl saw what was happening. "Oh no! Oh no, no!"
Aqua sighed. "This Birthday party was a horrible idea, wasn't it?" Wendy cringed. "Okay, you guys didn't know, so it's not your fault. But Soos hates his birthday!" That caused a mass gasp and Bursty fell off his stage to make a cartwheel. "What?!"
Wendy doesn't know much either. "It's a total mystery. I guess he's been like this since he was a kid. Some weird personal buis." Mabel wasn't going to give up. "There's got to be something we can do." Wendy shrugged. "We've tried everything." Stan second that. "I even petition the Government to have this day removed from calendars." He showed a mug shot with him being marked as banned. "Now I'm not allowed on air planes." The Wayfinders wanted to yell out. "What did you do?!" and focused more on Soos.
The merry band had a peak and found Soos sitting on the front porch, looking at a post card before sighing. Wendy was having doubts that getting involved would help. "I don't know guys, I think we should leave him alone."
Dipper shook to that. "No one should be alone on their birthday. There's got to be a way to cheer him up. We just need to try harder." Mabel jumped off. "You're right Dipper. It's time for us to bring out the Big Gunz!"
Ven and Aqua realized that's the name of the laser tag arena in town. Before they could say anything, Bursty and Amanto heard the sound of something rumbling and looked up to a mountain. They jumped as one at the sight of pink power bursting from one. They sprinted in a hurry, Aqua and Ven looked to each other, their partners and decided. The Keyblade Master signaled. "You guys go handle that while we check where these guys are going. We'll catch up as soon as we're done."
That was agreed on and the locals tried again with their Birthday Plan. The Wayfinders followed fast to the abandon Church, the way into the mines. Ven huhed and looked up to see a power erupt once more, realizing. "Something's going on down there?!"
Aqua gasped. "Really?!"
Rumble!
She saw more power and felt cold. "That's not good. Troubles came for the Walking Wake?" Bursty wasn't wanting to be late as the Lilligant drew upon a vine for climbing down. Amanto went into the Church and looked down at the deep jump, he turned to find Kit appearing. "Something doesn't feel right though. There's no way the dark forces would pull a blast like that unless they want to level this entire land." He helped set up the rope and asked the Brute. "You look a little too bulky to be climbing, stay out here and get ready to be mean if you gotta."
Bursty jumped into the hole, ahead of Kit's command. "The rest of you, follow!" He climbed down and had the others follow, into the Primordial Cavern.
Over at an indoor arena
Soos was put in a blind fold yet again and was guided along into a building. "Alright guys, blindfold me once, shame on you. Blindfold me twice-" His senses pick up on a familiarity. "Wait a minute." He sniffed around. "Hot dog smell?" He took a step and felt some resistance. "Sticky floors?" Pew! Pew! "Future sounds?"
He undid the blindfold and found himself in the lobby of a laser tag arena. "Laser tag?! I love laser tag, how you know?" Mabel grew nervous. "I mean, we didn't riffle through your wallet." She tried laughing it off. A tv gave off a tune. "Welcome to the year eight thousand, society collapsed. Fog machines everywhere." Wendy was having a feel on the walls that look like bedding. "Are these walls just mattresses spray painted purple?"
Stan recalled. "Think this place use to be a mattress store." Soos was given a strap vest with a light and a toy laser rifle. "I'm not sure guys, I don't know if I'm up to this today." Dipper and Mabel put on their equipment. "Don't worry Soos, as soon as you start playing with us, you'll have a great time." "We promise, no matter what happens, we won't leave your side." The band were getting equipped as Soos decided. "Well I guess I can give it a shot."
They lined up for their go. "Prepare for laser battle!" And and air horn blared, the girls headed in with Stan going in last. Soos realized his shoe laces were untied and went to tie them as Dipper and Mabel charged at a door that gave off a white shine, entering a blank white room that immediately closed in green laser bars. Mabel woahed, unaware. "Woah, this is even cooler than I imagined." She went over to a duo of unfriendly men in black and green uniforms. "Look at how real these laser guys are."
She gave one a kick in the groin, thinking they're statues. Tink! Tink! "Kick deflected, thank you for buying digi cod. The smart cod piece."
It took Mabel another second to realize something's wrong. "Wait, what?" Dipper realized he and his sister walked into danger and turned around to find Soos finishing untying. The door way rippled away, trapping the Pines. Mabel brought out Muscle Bear and worked together to kick at the wall, to no avail. One of the men wasn't impressed. "Nice try, but that's solid timetanium kid, hundred percent Bewear proof!" The Bewear turned with a panicked squeak as the man continued. "There's only one way out of here, kids!"
"Through me!"
The Pines and bear were directed to a familiar stranger who's missing most of his body. Only his head and hands were visible. The Bewear was imagining one ugly Haunter as the stranger realized there's a glitch and went to pressing a button, his overweight body revealed and his cloths showing various places before they turned into a gray jump suit. "Through me!" He was doubting that he's made a good impression. "And that's what would have been like if I got it right the first time."
The Pines gasped and Mabel pointed out. "The Time Traveler guy! What did you say your name was again? Bleno? Blondin?" Dipper snapped his fingers. "Blarbar!"
Mabel ahahed. "There it is." much to the annoyance of the Time Traveler. "It's Blendin! Blendin Benjamin Blandin! How can you not know my name after you ruined my life?!"
The Pines realize they're in the deep end as Blendin commanded his device. "Initiate flashback!" It showed Blendin being hauled away by the same men who are escorting him. "It was after you stole my time device to win your stupid pig." He was incarcerated and his name tag removed. "I was cast out of the time anomaly removal crew." His jump suit turned to black and white stripes. "My whole life's purpose!" It showed him in a bizarre looking prison. "and then I was given ten square life sentences in time prison." The flash back showed Blendin taking a grudge out on mashed potatoes. "I spent every day since then, plotting my vengeance."
The flash back ended and the crazed grudge bearer vowed. "And now finally, it has come!" Muscle Bear blinked and was ready to attack, Mabel called her out of that as Dipper rather not care about the ordeal. "Look, we're sorry about all that but we're in the middle of something real important right now." Mabel agreed. "It's our friends birthday today and we promised that we wouldn't leave his side."
Blendin gasped. "What?! You think some dumb birthday matters right now? Do you know where you are?" He pointed at an opening gate. "Welcome, to Globnar!" The bard gate showed the inside of a futuristic Colosseum. Show casing quite a few people fighting to the death against all kinds of obstacles, one was even swallowed by a blob monster. Two were clashing blades that either ages them up to elders or de-ages them to infants, Mabel was confused. "Is this a reality show? Are we in one of the worlds Ken talked about?"
Blendin corrected her. "It's Gladiatorial Time Combat!" Thud!
They watched someone knock a loser down and was elevated to a orange orb with a hourglass symbol. "The winner gets a precious time wish and then decides the losers fate!" The fighter looked to his fallen opponent and gave a thumbs down, despite the begging. The loser was deleted by a purple beam, screaming all the more. Dipper, Mabel and Muscle Bear were left gasping as Blendin announced. "And the two of you and your pets, are officially challenged!" He called out to one of the guards and walked over. "Dungrin, get me my warpaint!"
Mabel looked to Dipper and Muscle Bear. "We need a way out of here, but but how?" Pop! Out came Phantump, who was getting frantic from what he's heard. (We'll be done for if we don't do something!) He thought of something and gasped. (I got it!) He hovered to Dipper's pocket and picked up an empty pokeball that was kept around for study. Dipper looked around to find one of the guards having a tape measure at his hip, a device that is used for time travel. The boy gave a silent nod to the ghost as Mabel whispered. "Hang in there Soos, we're coming for you."
Phantump let loose a confusing light that distracted the guard. While that was happening, the ghost gave the ball a glow and had the device glow. In the manner of a trick, the items switched places. Phantump quickly gave Dipper the Time Measure. Blendin was more focused on having war paint applied. "Yeah, neon green is a good color, this is a good color for me-" Then he noticed a Phantump that was giving something to Dipper, the guard that was dazed in memorization and a ball at the hip.
"Huh?!"
Dipper, Phantump and Mabel flinched as Blendin saw the device in the twins place. "What no, you can't let them escape! Stop them!"
The dazed guard made a leap after Blendin and the other guard, realizing he's left confused as the four made a run for it. Mabel waved an laughed. "You all got stumped!"
Dipper was hurrying to roll out the tap as his sister pleaded. "Hurry, back to Soos's birthday!" Dipper was on it and dialed. "Okay! I think I got it!"
The Pines called their partners back and locked arms, warping away to somewhere mid air. They landed on a bed in a mattress store. Mabel was shaken. "Urk, are we back?"
Dipper had a moment to look around and recalled what Stan said about the laser arena. It was a mattress store, it didn't take much to realize. "Oh no! This place use to be a mattress store! We've went too far into the past." Mabel cursed the luck. "Time travel, man! Why do you got to be so complicated?"
Pew!
The Pines heard a ripple and were quick to hide under the bed. It was Blendin and the Time Police. "Looks like they over shot their destination by ten years!" Blendin was getting annoyed in his hand cuffs. "I don't see them. You better find those kids!" The cop that was blind sided by a confuse ray promised. "You'll get your justice Blendin."
The impatient time traveler kept complaining. "I'm going to keep stammering until you find them." He walked off. "I'm, I'm, I'm-" The Time Police were reaching the end of their patience. "I hate that guy." "Let's move!"
They used the mattress as spring steps and stepped out of the store. Fist bump one another and took off. Leaving the Pines to themselves. Dipper planned out. "Okay, we just got to go forward ten years. We can be back before Soos realizes we were gone." Mabel looked around and found the tap measure at the foot of the bed, broken and busted. "Oh no! The timey thing, it's busted! Can we fix it?" Dipper had a check. "Maybe... we just need some tools. I think I know where to get some."
The twins saw a sign post leading to a Mystery Shack, they cautiously took off, unaware of a lime green glow that followed them.
Back at the present.
The Wayfinders and their companions made a fast descent into the Primordial Cavern, little to anything was there to stop them. Not even a stray heartless. Bringing more mystery to what is causing the mountain shakes. As they approached the ledge, descending down, they heard great roars and watched beams of power fire out to the sky. One in particular sounded like beeps of deep laughter. Zagd! Zagd! Zagd! Kit turned into his fox form and jumped off with Bursty, leaving the Wayfinders, Lilligant and Virtu to follow in a leap into a light fog. Aqua used air magic to lighten the fall, further ahead, towards the Lake, is a deeper fog that rippled in pink power. The shadow of a dragon is seen blasting away. The band hurried into the fog that clouded more and more of their vision, to where Virtu and the ghosts needed to slow down and identify more of the trial. It wasn't long until they reached the edge of the lake and found the Walking Wake standing by something, blasting out a steam breath as the shadow of a dragons skull flew into the water and cause it to ripple in a splash.
Aqua found it a relief. "So the whole time, it was just the Walking Wake playing with someone? But with who?"
Walking Wake halted at the noise and looked towards Aqua, having a smile before stepping to the side. (So you've followed the calling and dived into this realm again? Waiting to face the dreadful dragon that shakes the mountain looming over your small town.) She realize some faces that are missing. (Where have the small ones gone to?)
Virtu sighed. (Tending to a friends birthday, while we handle this emergency. Something about that upsets him so.) She and Ven shared a glance as Shadey came out of his ball and explained. (I've heard enough from in there. Birthdays are suppose to be one of the best days for anyone having them and Soos isn't liking them a lot. How come?)
The Walking Wake wondered as well as the Dragon Skull emerged from the water. (Must have been a really bad day for him. Some thing that brok his heart... or was so dreadful he wishes to forget?) Shadey sighed and scratched the side of his head. (There's always that one day.)
Kit looked upon the Skull and found it blue. "Meanwhile, this day is about to be a bright one for our friend here. You've wanted him to feel better after waking up?"
The Walking Wake nodded and looked over to the Skull, Aqua and Ven had a second look, realizing there's a hint of red in the cheek. The skull gave off a beep and flipped as it hovered, revealing a red core with stubbed legs and a blue pattern of dots. The Wayfinders were pleasantly surprised. "Regidrago!" Ven asked out loud. "How did you get out of that wall?"
Aqua wondered. "Did our friends find the three already? We would have noticed if they shown up." Shadey turned into the form of Sora and was more certain. "They would have let you all know." Regidrago's face came alive in a pattern and Shadey listened to what the Walking Wake was growling. "He saw those friends in a dream. Three with keys, some strange pokemon and one in robes. They called with their brothers and awoken Drago and Eleki."
Regidrago shined in power and gave a growl. "Do we share that kind of power, that kind of bond? Are we the ones to face the mighty Dragon?"
Ven readied a jet ball. "We sure are, but we know he's not going to go quietly in one of these." He let out Togekiss, who was quick to blow away the fog. "Regidrago, before we help you get back to your brothers, we're going to need to capture you in a ball. Just so no one gets any dumb ideas to snatch you away."
Regidrago floated back in surprise, floated towards Ven and had a particular dot shine. More came and Walking Wake gasped. (Are you sure you've seen him before?)
Regidrago turned to the Walking Wake before floating towards the back of the lake. Shadey smiled nervously as Ven conjured air magic and flew into the water, Togekiss ascended high as Aqua and the others readied. Regidrago turned into the dragon skull and fired a beam at the front of the lake. Sliding it side ways and unleashing an explosion of dragon energy, making it very clear who he wishes to challenge.
Aqua and the band felt the power blowing against them, the Keyblade Master was quite in awe. "Such power!" She called out to her Lil' Bro. "Ven, this Dragon means business!"
Ven felt an exhilarating vigor as he called out to the Dragon. "Hey, hey! I think they got the message! You're wanting this to be as fair and square as it can get. Proud of your power and wanting to see what this knight and his friend can do?" He pressed his shoulder plate and flickered into armor. Regidrago hovered left and right before spinning around into a dance, Ven and Togekiss blew a tail wind combo and glided after the golem. Regidrago took the form of the dragon skull and dived after Togekiss, biting down on her with electrical fangs and tossing her aside. Ven gave a fast strike at the Drago before getting countered by a fierce dragon claw. Ven back flipped in a glide and ordered. "Toge, shock him back!"
Togekiss crackled and blasted a fast thunder wave at the back of Regidrago before flapping down a dazzling gleam. Regidrago was sent spinning to the water and in a force of will, jetted after the jubilee. Togekiss ascended and Ven puffed his cheeks, following with a fierce roar that took the form of Biting Winds. Regidrago listened to the roar, turned fast and was chomped by the winds that tossed him upward. Ven got on Togekiss and whispered. "Fly up and we have it!"
Togekiss grunted and ascended after the flying orb. Regidrago caught himself and swung a claw at Ven, who parried and flipped over to the golems back. The boy brought a heal ball and tapped it on Drago. Engulfing the golem in pink smoke and bringing him into his binding. It fell down to the lake and shook. Shake...shake...shake... click! Dip!
As fast as it started, Regidrago was captured. Ven free dived and flipped in air to landed gently before picking the ball up. Togekiss descended and cheered. (You got him, Ven!)
Aqua clapped as Shadey, Virtu and Bursty cheered. The boy let Regidrago out and watched the golem look around in confusion, before turning to the boy and giving a beep before leaning forward. Ven pat Regidrago on the skull top arm. "You're about as strong as I thought you were going to be. We'll head back to your brothers as soon as we're finished with a few things."
Regidrago grunted as the Walking Wake was nearly flabber gasted, blushed and walked to the center of the lake. (I don't know why he started that fight, but you've answered the Dragons challenge and prevailed. Little Knight.) She roared and caused a pillar of crystal to appear. (You could turn back, now that you got what you've came for. But are you going to miss the chance at where the current's flowing?)
She half turned to the band, Kit was ever more curious as the Triassic Beast went in and left the gate open. Shadey called it for what it is. "She's leaving this open for us. What do you all think we should do?" Aqua approached the crystal gate. "What else? We got the chance to dive back into that Labyrinth and find the answer's we've been looking for. Who's with me?"
Kit doesn't see why not as Lady and Bursty followed. Ven, Virtu, Togekiss, Shadey and the Drago followed along. Through the gray light, they found themselves in some place metal with faint lights to the side. Shadey turned back to a Zoroark and looked above to find the shaft of an elevator, going up to the light. Aqua and Ven let out the rest of their company. Cyndi, Wyrdeer, Goomy, Glimmet, Kadabra and Haywire. In a brief moment, the platform they stand upon ascended, out of the darkness and into daylight. Showing melding of metal and glass of a sea shore facility. Going into the mountain and towards a wider land.
The band woahed and looked around, going towards a split path. One to a wide beach, the other up into the mountain. Aqua closed her eyes and felt her heart heavy, there's a deal she needed to be subtle about. Ven turned to his Big Sis and asked. "So, where to?"
Aqua found that as her chance. "We should split up and catch up to the Walking Wake before she sneaks away." She and her companions went to the shore. "We'll take this route, while you and your friends take the other." Kit followed by Aqua as Ven hmmed, looked to Drago and nudged. "Go with her. You'd be surprise what she studies."
The Regidrago obeyed as Bursty walked over to an escalator that brought him up. Ven and his band hurried as Aqua and her team took the path leading to a door. Kit looked around to make sure no one was listening and turned to his human form, whispering at the change in mood. "You've just followed through on something, didn't you?"
Aqua waved guilty as she helped Goomy get on her shoulder. "Yup. This Lady of the Labyrinth, Suiten, wanted to meet him. With the way Ven and Drago acted, I'm sure she'll let them know about what that is." Glimmet twirled in tune as the door slid open, bringing the band to a beach with rails and a gentle wave. At the corner of an eye, came a reflection of crystal and a light.
Up the escalator.
Ven and his crew reached the highest point of the facility in minutes time. Finding the Walking Wake, talking with a Scientist as she activated a door to show a water slide. "They're taking their own pace to the next world. Be ready to show the Primordial Beast if the dark forces prove... dangerous."
The Walking Wake understood and dived into a slide deep enough to be considered a river, swimming with the current, to her next mission. Virtu beeped and floated close to the Scientist, who almost jumped and turned. "Woah, woah!" She gasped in surprise and noticed Ven in his armor, she calmed down gently. "So you've followed along after all?"
Ven turned off his helmet and felt relaxed by her presence. "We figured that you had something to do with this." The Scientist agreed and bowed gracefully. "Welcome, it's been a long while." The partners were calming down as Ven didn't find the greeting odd. "We're almost done with our mission in Gravity Falls, now we can get some answers."
The Scientist understood and had screens turned on, showing Aqua and her band facing a crystal of light. "Long overdue answers." Kadabra noticed on the far end, a comfortable chamber with a sleeping Iron Valiant. Ven saw and started asking. "For one, we found a Storm Witch that turned herself into a Heart Fragment and Aqua said she saw recordings of the Brute Bonnet that looked to be from a different guy. What do you know of that?"
The Scientist sighed in disappointment. "I've known about that Heart Fragment since you've all uncovered it. If it can be reunited with enough it's fellow fragments, it could be put together with the energies of the Labyrinth. Not quite as it was, due to how some of the fragments are still lost, but the center piece of the heart is the most vital."
She approached and pointed a finger to the center of Ven's chest, Ven imagined why. "That piece holds nearly everything, while the others are more like a guideline?" The Scientist had a hologram of a broken heart, showing each piece. "The feelings, direction. Faces that will either comfort you... or give you reasons to defend yourself. None of it can be united without the Why." She asked the boy. "Ventus, think further back. When a heart is reborn many times over, some of the experience can carry on into the Why. Every primordial trait that made up that Brute Bonnet dated back since the age of yor and his change in mood could be a past life reawakening and melding with what the crystals guided him towards. You've became his friend and that accelerated the progress."
Ven did think further and blew to the air. "He's going to need a different change in scenery, to think about that in a place he won't have to hide in. We can arrange that." He looked over to Bursty. "We can do that as soon as we get what we've came to the Town for." The Scientist smiled in confidence and looked to the screen. "You might want to settle that personal matter soon. The machinations that I've wrought are about to be in place."
Ven huhed and looked to the screen, finding the crystal conjuring a humanoid shape and bringing Aqua into a guard. The boy gasped. "Did you just lead Aqua into a trap?" The Scientist laughed lightly and half turned to the Wayfinder. "In a way. I do need that Heart Fragment and I'm aware that she's the one holding onto it. Once it's obtained, there's something that one if you will need to witness first hand."
She pressed her hands together and made a barrier to block out the exists. "You need to have all your friends in their balls, before someone gets the idea to snatch them away. You, who've bested the Mighty Dragon, with aid of serene wings, have the honors of making it official with our other worldly visitor. As it's always has been."
She stepped back and laughed as Bursty realize what that meant and went to one side of the office. Ven and Togekiss looked to one another before circling around. The boy smiled at the Ultra Beast. "He took the jump into a whole adventure, to see and meet people that are as strange as he is. He followed us further into the rabbit hole and knew there's no going back now."
Bursty clapped, twirled his head and gave a battle cry. (Let's do this!) He burst out a radiance of power and charged up in heat. Ven ordered fast. "Up!" Togekiss ascended and dodged a heat wave. "Thunder wave!"
The dove crackled and let loose a shock wave that left Bursty paralyzed. Togekiss followed with an air slash and with serene grace, made Bursty flinch. The Blacephalon took another, failed to move and took another before glowing his hands in spectral power and slashed a critical blow, Togekiss was sent flying back and Shadey rushed into place to take the other. The Zoroark howled a night daze that sent Bursty tumbling. The Ultra Beast followed with a heat wave and Shadey leaped high, Bursty kept his eye on the fox and Ven used it as a chance to glide to the Beasts side. The Blacephalon realized his sight was away from someone and was left exposed to the toss of a beast ball. "Go!"
Whistle! Tap! Bop! Bop! Bop! Shake... click!
Togekiss and Shadey panted as Virtu and the others clapped. The Scientist joined in the praise. "Bravo, bravo!"
Ven had a moment to breath in, close his eyes and shake as a way to tell if he's dreaming or not. He eased himself and hurried to pick up the ball, letting out the injured Blacephalon that was in a daze. The Scientist glowed in green power and aimed her hand. "Curaga!"
Pulse!
A fast heal washed over the combatants and brought them in fine health. By command, the barrier was brought down and a door at the left opened, revealing a chute. "Best enough friends that you'd fight side by side through anything." She showed the chute. "If you take this route, you should catch up with Aqua and the others before long. You've grown much stronger than you realize, Ventus. Use that strength to reach beyond the sky and there will be no limit to what you can do."
The boy understood and signaled to his companions. "Thanks for the help Suiten, we won't let you down." He flinched at a particular name and watched the Scientist pause in surprise. She flicked her tongue, raised a finger and held, hesitate to say anything. Ven wished to know why he knows that name and settled for giving the Scientist a hug before taking off.
At the Beach.
Aqua and her band of misfits found themselves face to face with a crystal that brought about a reflection. A humanoid that took shape and color, into a young man with rather long red hair, a simple set of purple clothes and black pants. He opened a set of blue eyes, looking like he just awoken. He took a step out of the crystal and broke apart into something more silver and metallic. A cyborg with half a mask covering his left face. His left shoulder and legs were of the machine. The mask's eye shined in blue and the more visible eye had a joy. "Keyblade Master: Aqua; identified!" He aimed his fleshy arm and had it shine in light. "Proceeding with preliminary procedure. By the Light of Home, we will prevail!" The light was a silver blade with a pink light flowing up the blade and to the teeth. The Cyborg had a strange passion in his gaze and voice. "May Heart and Key, guide us to Tomorrow!"
He held with both hands and posed in guard, Kit turned to his Zoroark form as Aqua readied her blade. Kit dashed left as Aqua glided right. The Cyborg let loose a battle cry, jumped high and raised his blade, causing it to conjure an orb of light that bombarded. More than enough for the bystanders to back away, baring Regidrago. The Cyborg focused on the light barrage and flowed to each ray to get close to Aqua, the Keyblade Master cart wheeled and charged a crystal power as Kit unleashed a hyper voice. The scream and crystal beam made their mark, the Cyborg rolled back and called out. "Thunder!"
CRACKLE!
Kit leaped form a bolt. "Thundara."
Crackle!
More bolts rained down and forced Aqua to back away. "Thundaga!"
BOOM!
Mighty bolts crashed down and Regidrago gave a draconic dance before rushing in for a dragon claw. The Cyborg parried the dragons jaws and high jumped, Aqua conjured crystal pillars and used them as a flow of her own. She got personal with the Cyborg and struck him into the sand before following with a crystal arrow barrage. The Cyborg back flipped to avoid the barrage and side stepped from Kit's shadow claw. He placed his blade to the sand and sent a wave of life energy at the palm trees, causing them to grow large coconuts. He posed his blade like one a bow and had the trees bend to his will.
Fling!
Aqua stood still in response to the coconut bombardment, they phased through and the Cyborg turned to parry a phantom stepping master. Goomy took the chance and blasted a point blank dragon breath. The Cyborg rolled and swipped a long wave of light. Aqua jumped over and the Cyborg blinked in light, delivering a frontal swing. Goomy conjured a protective barrier and jumped in the way to take the blow.
The Keybearers stepped back as Regidrago fired a beam of dragon energy at the Cyborg. BLAST! The wave sent the Cyborg flying far into the sand. With the flip of a blade, he tossed it to the sand and caused it to split open for miles, turning into bunkers of sand dunes. Aqua and Goomy took a deep breath, the Keyblade Master enveloped herself in water and rushed a flow, forcing the Cyborg to jump and expose himself. Aqua flowed after the Cyborg that raised his blade. "Dune!"
Burst!
A sand dune erupted to knock Aqua flying. Cyndi dashed fast, intercepted the Cyborg and blasted a flamethrower, giving Aqua an idea and called. "Cyndi!" The Quilava dashed to avoid a sand blast and joined with Aqua, who charged up a water blast that when combined with fire, turned into a blast of steam. The Cyborg gritted his teeth from the heat and used his light to make himself invisible. Aqua turned right and parried the warping foe. "Nice try!"
Glimmer! Swipe!
Aqua stepped back from a side attack and didn't feel anything. Cyndi stepped back and called. (Hey!) Aqua had a moment to see the Cyborg holding something shining and she checked herself. Finding something missing as Kit saw what was in the Cyborg's fingers, a dark pink fragment. "The Heart Piece!"
The Cyborg smirled and showed it off, taunting Aqua into growling. The stranger sang in tune. "Operation; Sleuth of Blade, completed."
Slide!
Suddenly, Ven and his band of misfits slide from a chute and arrived to see a battle under way. He saw the Cyborg taunting Aqua with something and glided in the speed of wind. The Cyborg stepped back in a spin and parried the boy, letting him see what he has. Ven back flipped and called out. "Hey! We need that!"
The Cyborg warped in light, appearing by the edge of the shore and using his blade to conjure a gate way of crystal. "By the marrow, it will be where it needs to be! Catch me then, if you wish to see the miracle at work."
He glided into the gate way, vanishing in that light. Aqua readied to give chase as she and Ven decided for a mass call back. Barring Goomy, Cyndi, Bursty, Kadabra and Regidrago. The Psi Pokemon sensed what is ahead and called out with his mind. "Wait, something is odd about this one! Time itself contorts..." Ven and Aqua looked to Kadabra, who floated towards the gate way. "Be ready."
The Wayfinders and their partners followed him through and Kit readied to go. An other worldly voice whispered. "That is enough for now."
Kit turned to find Arceus and the Lady of the Labyrinth, sliding down from the chute. The Zoroark started laughing. "Oh ha, ha, ha! "You've set that ambush up for a test, didn't you?"
Suiten giggled without an ounce of guilt. "With the power of projection, the Wayfinders should be enroute to where the Pines are heading." She whispered softly. "They've gotten themselves in a mess ten years ago and something from the future's wanting a piece of them." She sighed. "One day the Wayfinders will uncover the real history and this is but a taste from the best of the best in the ancient times. That Projection has already obtained what we need and you're needed elsewhere in the Labyrinth. It will all come together before this days end." Kit calmed down and followed the two up into the office.
Ten Years ago.
Dipper and Mabel sneaked around the town of yesterday, with the boy advising. "Let's lay low, we don't want to change the future. Or cause the future... how does this work exactly?" Mabel wondered. "Stuck in the past, everything's the samey, but also differenty."
They noticed a familiar man tap dancing in a dance studio. He marveled himself with a mirror. "Look out Broadway, here I come." Mabel tapped the window and called out. "This dream goes nowhere Toby!" They left the rejected dancer to his gloom and had a run in with young girls on tricycles. One with dark skin and purple hair, the other having a close resemblance to Wendy. More over it is a younger Wendy. The darker girl apologized. "Oops, sorry!" And was whispered by Wendy, the girl blurted out innocently. "My friend thinks your cute!" Wendy took offense. "Oh my gosh, Tambry" and pushed her off the trike. "shut up!"
Dipper was greatly confused. "Oh... ha ha, thank you. You're super young, so this is... awkward." Mabel nudged him. "Ha, now you know how she feels. Creep."
The girls cycled away and left Dipper to that thought. They sneaked into the woods and found the Mystery Shack of yor, which is still in shabby shape. Finding Stan busy in swindling the tourists with an attraction and finding the coast to be clear. They took off their laser jackets and sneak into the building, only being noticed by a baby goat as they got in and found a tool box. Where a screw driver was left unattended and could be used to repair the Time device, as Dipper was working on it, Mabel heard a familiar, younger tone. "Oh come on, candy. Fall!"
At the turn, she found a familiar birthday boy in a red shirt, trying to get something out of a vending machine. Mabel didn't notice at first and approached. "Allow me, you just need to know someone on the inside." She gave a few taps and had the vending machine pop open. She brought out a few bags and turned. "Jackpot!"
She gasped and saw the boy is a younger Soos, who didn't realize something was wrong. "Thanks dog!" He was given the candy and took off. "You must be some kind of genius."
Dipper finished repairing the device. "Looks like I got this thing working." And was shaken by his sister. "Dipper, Dipper. Look!" She showed her brother the younger Soos who was checking out a t shirt with a question mark. "No way!" Soos was escorted out by his grandmother. "You keep wandering off, you don't want to be late for your big day." "Sorry Abuelita!"
As they took off, Mabel realized. "Big day? This could be the Birthday where that personal buis went down. We could finally figure out why Soos hates his birthday." Dipper groaned. "Alright, but let's be quick."
They headed over to Soos's house, where an event was happening in the backyard. Soos was spoiled by a cake with a race car, presents and affectionate adult women. With some observation, Dipper was confused. "Man, I don't know why he hates his birthday, this looks great."
Soos was licking the toy race car as a child took a seat on a chair at the far side of the table. "Uh, sorry dude, but could you move seats. That's a seat of honor." The child doesn't know why. "Uh... who's it for?"
Soos explained eagerly. "Oh ha, ha. It's for my dad actually. I haven't seen him in like... eight years. But he's coming today."
Ding dong!
The sound of a door bell gave Soos some hope as he headed into the house. The Pines sneaked around to peep at the window, Soos readied for the door and took a deep breath. "Alright Soos. Today's the big day, be cool."
He opened the door and was disappointed by a mail man with a post card. "Post card for... Soos."
Soos was given a post card and looked as the mail man took off. It was a post card from New Orleans. Soos read the back of the card. "Sorry Champ. Couldn't make it this year. Real busy again, see you next year for sure. Dad."
Disappointment didn't even begin to describe what the boy was feeling and his cousin tried to cheer him up. "Hey, don't sweat it cous. You'll see him next year."
Soos sighed and went to take out a box. "Yeah... next year." Putting the post card along with the others. "Eh. I'm gonna go lay down. You party without me dudes."
That was the beginning of the end for the festivities. The Pines sat down out of sight and realized. "So that's why Soos hates his birthday. It's the day he realizes his dad isn't coming back." Mabel asked. "So, how much partying can fix that?"
Spray!
Dipper was sprayed in the face by a squirt gun, wielded by a young Robbie. A ball opened to bring out a Phantump and Swirlix that quickly scared the child away with an astonishment wail, allowing the siblings to continue their investigation. Finding Soos brooding alone in a dark room, not even dinosaur shaped cookies could cheer him up. There was one conclusion the Pines have, that Mabel let out. "Oh this is awful." Dipper agreed. "We promised Soos a happy birthday, but how can we give him that now? This goes beyond anything we know how to fix."
"This way!"
The voice of Blendin reminded the four of the danger they're in and they hid behind a tree. The Time Cops were set off by the chirp of a tree and vaporized a tree, revealing a Robbie that was left running in trauma. The Pines and their starters kept listening as Blendin was hoping. "Man, the sooner I defeat those kids in Globnar, the sooner I can win my Time Wish." One of the Space Police admitted. "Tell you what I'd do if I had a Time Wish. Retire early, spend more time with the kids."
Blendin completely dismissed him in the most disrespectful means imaginable. "Neh, neh, neh, neh with the kids! Don't you know that a Time Wish can literally do anything? Any impossible problem solved. Just like that. I mean, imagine the possibilities."
Sweet Puff gasped and looked to the Pine Twins in an idea. (Could this mean fixing that birthday?) Dipper and Mabel knew what was said. "If we can defeat Blendin in that space battle." "Then we wish that Soos's dad came to visit him on his twelfth birthday." Dipper snapped his fingers. "And Soos's birthdays will be fixed forever! All of them."
Phantump whispered. (But can we win that? Our really strong looking friends don't even know where or when we are.) Dipper raised a finger to his partner. "It's the only chance we got and besides, we got to start fighting our own battles some day. This is for Soos too." They looked to the brooding Soos. "He'd do the same for us."
Something Phantump completely agreed with. The four made themselves known in the open, hands behind their heads. "Here we are Blendin, we surrender." Blendin gasped unhinged. "It's them!" The Time Police aimed their guns. "Freeze!" "Careful they're from the past, they could have muskets or slap bracelets."
The Pines approached, showing they have nothing to hide. "Look guys, no tricks this time. We're ready to challenge you okay?" Blendin kept making noise. "Yes! Let the Globnar begin! Prepare for" and screamed in the top of his lungs. "Globnaaaaa-"
Blip!
Suddenly, a symbol of a muted mega phone appeared. Blendin noticed he wasn't making noise and the Time Police were relieved. "Hey turns out I can mute him." Swirlix phewed. (Thank goodness.) Phantump nodded with her. (That noise was getting annoying.)
The Time Police pressed another button. "Initialize!" Zap! The group were warped away into the far future, leaving the screw driver, from the present time zone, behind.
The group found themselves in the arena, with an audience cheering. "Globnar! Globnar!" Rumble! Rumble! Emerging from a elevator, is a giant humanoid baby with an hourglass symbol on his forehead. He was in a baby chair with round toys and he declared with a deep voice. "Silence!"
An audience member didn't listen to that. "Woah! Oh yeah!" And was vaporized by the Time Baby that announced. "Welcome Globnar tributes! I have a very important nap to get to, so let's make this quick."
Ripple!
Suddenly, a crystal shine flickered and brought about a strange cyborg with a keyblade, on the run as Ven, Aqua and a band of misfits followed behind. One band member in particular is a Regidrago that was quick to look around in confusion.
The Cyborg looked around and declared. "Arrival, successful. Requesting more for the Globnar?" Time Baby wasn't amused but allowed it. "Haven't seen one of you since a decade ago. Very well. You each have the chance to settle your time feuds through Gladiatorial Combat." Virtual weapons appeared as a robot brought up a giant baby bottle. "You will have until Time Baby finishes drinking the cosmic sand in this hour glass." Time Baby was refusing, like a typical infant.
The Cyborg walked towards Blendin and had a delightful smile as Aqua and Ven hurried over to the Pines. The Keyblade Master had questions as Blendin pointed to the lot. "Get ready kids! When I get that Time Wish, you'll wish you were never born. Or rather... you wish you were born, because I'm going to wish you were never born!" Cyndi whistled. (Sheesh, chill.)
Dipper hurried to ask. "Ven, Aqua, what are you doing here in the future?!" Aqua asked back. "That's what we want to know." Mabel wasn't too worried. "Don't worry, there's more of us and we got hair!"
Blendin heard that. "Oh, oh, yeah?! Well, I have training!" He took a spear and spun it in style. "What did you think I did in prison all this time?" Mabel eeked. "Uh oh."
Ven called for a time out as the Cyborg sighed and aimed his hand. "Lend us your speed!" Glimmer! From the shine of a crystal, came a summon of mechanical fury. The Cyborg beckoned. "Bring about a great storm that will sweep these guys away. By iron wings we will soar! Iron Jugulis, fly on over!"
Glimmer! Flap!
"Hyd-" "Hydr" "Hydreigon!"
The summon is a robotic drone that resembles a flying, three headed hydra. With the two side heads looking like disembodied arms. The machine noticed the Keybearers and gave a fierce glare, Ven used the Dex to check for the entry. Blip! "Iron Jugulis: The Hydrone Pokemon: Dark/Flying: It resembles a certain Pokémon introduced in a paranormal magazine, described as the offspring of a Hydreigon that fell in love with a robot." The three heads blinked in sync and looked to the summoner.
As the Keybearers had time, Aqua turned and asked the Pines. "What did you guys do to make this creep hate you like this?"
Dipper laughed nervously. "Yeah... about that, we used some of his stuff to win Waddles in a contest and that got him arrested." Mabel admitted. "We kind of ruined his life."
The band felt their eyes bulging in astonishment and Aqua hurried to bring something out. A pan of something and a machine. "Alright, we got time." She revealed one to be a dollop of whip cream and a machine with a tube. A Trade Machine. "We had Oχιά make this last night. It's something that will help Phantump and Swirlix evolve." She gave the cream to Swirlix. "We just need Sweet Puff to hold onto this whipped dream. You'll see."
Mabel and Sweet Puff gasped, the Swirlix licked the whipped dream up as she and Phantump were called back in their balls. Aqua went to turn on the machine and let the Pines place a ball at each end. With the press of a button, the balls were sucked into the tubes and a screen showed the balls crossing over with the two and showing the pokemon with in. The balls dropped out and gave a shine for a full minute, then they were brought back into the machine. Showing a larger tree and a cupcake dog. Wrr! Bop! Bop!
Pop!
Out of the balls came a red eyed cyclopean tree with a spirit with in. As well as a a pink bipedal, cupcake dog. Aqua had her turn with the Dex entry. "Trevenant: the Elder Tree: Ghost/Grass: Small roots that extend from the tips of this Pokémon's feet can tie into the trees of the forest and give Trevenant control over them. People fear it due to a belief that it devours any who try to cut down trees in its forest, but to the Pokémon it shares its woods with, it's kind."
Trevenant scratched the side of his head and gave a deep growl as Aqua moved along to the other. "Slurpuff: The Meringue Pokemon: Fairy Type: By taking in a person's scent, it can sniff out their mental and physical condition. It's hoped that this skill will have many medical applications. Slurpuff's fur contains a lot of air, making it soft to the touch and lighter than it looks."
The Slurpuff danced around and licked the air, looking like quite the trouble maker. (That's not all I can do!) She hurried to a bag and picked out a pear like fruit. (Unburdened forever!)
Blendin watched and was fuming. "They're evolving them right before Globnar? Oh come on!" The Cyborg gave Blendin a light stare. "Hypocrisy detected. Jugulis and I have the means of dealing with their friends." He looked forward to the match. "This will be something of a legend."
At the Terastal Labyrinth.
Suiten and her cohorts watched the Globnar match unfold. From temporal themed battles of complex proportions, to sports that are taken up several notches. While the Pine Twins and Blendin have an exchange of victories and defeats, the Cyborg, with his skills in the blade and the Iron Jugulis's power over winds, hydro pump and dark pulses prove much even against veteran Keybearers. Regidrago had to exchange blasts, Aqua had to bring about the power of flames to call upon the sun and Ven had to get up close with the Cyborg who's uses the Jugulis as a steed.
The matches begun to escalate to where they have to fight against a legion of hulking humanoid aliens that have tube like antennas. Terapagos appeared to watch with the Lady of the Labyrinth and was quite intrigued. As the games escalate into a great storm, Suiten lost all doubt at her plan. "Well, they're enticed about this mystery by now. If they can just keep at a high score, they'll get out of this one in one piece."
She turned away from the show and had a crystal focus on a Brute Bonnet that was bored and sleeping. "You and Abigale will soon be heading to a place to call home. But how can we bring this to their attention?" Kit squinted his eyes at the Lady. "It better not be anything that will endanger the town."
Suiten flinched to an idea. "After what Regidrago has done in celebration, they wouldn't ignore a crisis if it's that obvious. One that looks the part, could bring them into the Labyrinth once more." She turned to a window to a corner of the island, with the power of her Blade, she had it take shape into a docking station. "Everything just needs to be timed."
Back at the Globnar Match.
PEW! PEW!
The Jugulis and Drago continued to exchange blasts, distracting one another as the contestants were stacking blocks into a tower. Trevenant was shaking off a taunt and Sweet Puff helped Kadabra place a block. Blendin had a brick pulled and the impact from the bombardment caused the whole thing to collapse. Their next challenge was against a misshapen burgundy giant with a clock for an eye, it had a scrawny right arm and a buffed left arm. A Cyglocks that kept pestering them. It roared as Aqua posed for battle. "Fought bigger."
Blendin stuttered at the foe as the Cyborg admitted to Aqua. "Challenge rating to us. Nominal."
As the contestants were prepared, they noticed a strange green light flickering. It expanded behind the Cyglocks and spilled over something that caused a push. A pokemon that Aqua and Ven had a glimpse of from the dex, all be green where the blue should be and having shining lines even brighter. A bipedal dinosaur like dragon with a diamond on his chest. Ven gasped. "A Dialga?"
Time Baby pushed his sand bottle away stubbornly and was surprised. "One of the ancient legends of Arceus?! Here?!" Dialga took a step and gave a nod over to the time entity before the Cyglocks made the foolish mistake of leaping after.
Dialga's chest charged and his mouth glowed, blasting out a beam that caused everything to go white and send the beast crashing into a wall. Dipper and Mabel gave a combined. "Uh oh." As Dialga gave a look to them.
Dipper asked Ven. "So, that's Dialga, the Pokemon that controls Time?" Kadabra corrected him. "More than that, he IS time. Every second that has been spent and will be spent, every heart beat, can all be traced back to him."
Dialga grunted respectfully to Kadabra and let loose a mighty roar. Blendin looked to his spear, stuttered and tossed it at the dragon who stepped aside in an accelerated pace. Dialga fired a flash cannon from his chest as a counter attack as the Cyborg glided to deflect the blast and ready a blow. Dialga raised a shoulder and blocked the blow with his chest as Jugulis fired a dark pulse.
Mabel whispered. "Sweet Puff, scorch the Dialga!" Dipper had one even more and signaled to the Wayfinders. "Keep it nice and slow." He pointed. "Trevenant, try trick room!" The tree glowed and distorted dimensions. Regidrago floated downwards as Kadabra and Bursty greatly appreciated it. Aqua took a slow step to get to the Cyborg's personal and blast him away. "Regidrago, let them have it!"
Regidrago closed up into a skull and unleashed a beam of dragon energy, swiping forward and sending the duo flying. Dialga jumped back and was scorched by a combo of heat wave and caught the Kadabra channeling a focus blast. Ven hovered and fired a blast of plasma. Dialga nearly warped from the two bombardments and was intercepted by Trevenant and his shadow claw. Sweet Puff leaped at the dragon for rough play. Dialga shined his diamond and caused everything to freeze, he approached the Pines and brought time to normal. With a shine of his will, the twisted dimensions returned to normalcy.
The Cyborg and Jugulis got up from the blast and saw the dragon was right in front of the children. The Cyborg flickered in light and warped in front of the Twins, giving Dialga a reason to charge and fire his temporal roar. The Cyborg conjured a barrier, as much as Blendin was confused. "Whu, whu. Wait, who's side are you on?"
The Jugulis snarled at him. (Not yours, we just want to see the Keybearers-) and flapped a hurricane at the distracted Wayfinders. (lose!)
Ven, Aqua and Cyndi got out of the way. The Quilava dashed for a quick attack as Drago, Kadabra and Bursty were sent flying. Bash! She and Aqua fired a steam jet as Kadabra warped behind the Jugulis and let loose a thunder wave.
The Cyborg rushed after Dialga, who caused him to slow down at a molasses pace. The Temporal Dragon followed with a flash cannon blast to send the Cyborg towards a wall. Sweet Puff gave a yawn that made Dialga drowsy as Trevenant stood in the way and distorted dimensions. The Temporal Pokemon charged up his roar and Mabel gasped. "That's it! Get in the way Sweet Puff, make a lot of noise!"
The Cupcake was on it as Dipper licked. "Come on, one more shadow claw!" Trevenant clawed a critical blow and caused Dialga to warp to have a clear shot at the Twins. Sweet Puff glided in the way and punched against the temporal roar. As everything turned white and flashed, the Slurpuff simply shook off the blast and giggled. She lunged for rough play at the diamond chest and Dialga howled before stepping back and falling on his knees. Mabel brought out a pokeball and tossed in audacity. "Go catch em!"
Fling!
Dialga saw the ball coming, gave a shine and warped away from the throw, he breathed in and out before giving a shine and disappearing in light.
Time Baby was amused. "Very good. You have driven away the Dialga!" Blendin looked over to a score board, he was still a point ahead. "Come on, Blendin for the almost win!"
Time Baby played with his toes as the contestants gathered side to side. Pretty battered and winded. "There is only one final challenge for Globnar. An ancient game, thousands of years old chosen for it's exemplification of of pure strategy. The ancient art of laser tag!" A digital maze shined, with a pyramid at the far end, having the Time Wish orb. The one who touches the victory orb first will win."
The humans had vests and equipment that wasn't too different from the time they left. Dipper found that rather ridiculous after the whole incident with Dialga. "Laser tag? Seriously?" Blendin was ready to do some shooting. "Oh I know it doesn't seem that challenging now, but wait until they turn on that fog machine. You'll be done for, you just wait until-" Pew! "Hit!"
Dipper already shot at him. "Hit! Hit! Hit!"
Blendin slumped in defeat. "Ah man!"
The boy looked to find the Cyborg was jumping over the wall and was making a glide for the Orb, only to be tackled by Ven and Aqua. "Mabel, Sweet Puff! Grab the orb!"
The Slurpuff grabbed Mabel and jumped over as the Iron Jugulis took advantage of the scuffle and fired her side heads at the orb, Sweet Puff took her partner and tossed her at high speeds. Right as the machine had her jaws at the orb, the girl grabbed it and rolled.
Shine!
The arena faded away, along with the Cyborg and the Jugulis. Time Baby was finished with his bottle and declared. "It is finish!" A robot patted the Baby and caused him to burp.
The crowd cheered as Blendin saw the Pines score skyrocket, the loser screamed in panic as the band gave each other a high five. Time Baby hovered close to the victors. "You have obtained victory in Globnar. Before I give you your time wish, tell us. What fate do you decide for the loser?"
Blendin whimpered in his cuffs as Mabel called out for blood.
"Death!"
The humans and pokemon alike found that savage and Sweet Puff whispered. (Hey, ease up.)
Mabel realized she went too far and took back her declaration. "Sorry, got carried away."
The group huddled together out of hearing. Aqua asked the Pines. "So, what are we going to do with him? He was wanting to wish you two out of history as payback."
Dipper agreed. "Yeah, but it was our fault in the first place." Mabel second that. "Yeah and he's too sad to really be much of a bad guy." Ven thought. "If we can decide anything, maybe we can settle that grudge, so he can move on?" Dipper asked. "Maybe if we treat him right in the present, he'll turn out better in the future?"
That might not be how it works, but it's worth a try. The band broke the huddle and Dipper decided. "Okay, as long as you keep an eye on him. We'd like to set Blendin free and restore his position in the Time Anomaly Correction Unit." Mabel added a bonus. "And give him pretty hair!"
Time Baby didn't have a reason to deny that. "So be it!" He glowed his hand, caused the cuffs to fall loose. Blendin huhed. "What?! You do that for me?" A small patch of brown hair grew from his head. He cheered. "I got my job back!" He put a hand on the chest of one of the Policemen. "I feel like I could hug somebody."
The Cop wasn't impressed.
"I could kill you in eight different ways."
Quickly putting Blendin in his place. Time Baby rubbed his cheeks and had the Time Orb hover to the Twins. "Now, children. What is it that you want from your time wish?"
The Wayfinders wanted to know what that was for and Kadabra was quite charmed, Mabel answered the Time Baby. "Thank you, but the wish isn't for us." The entity was surprised. "Not you? But then who? Who is worthy to received such power?"
Back in the present.
Soos was hiding behind a machine, dodging shots as he was too busy calling out. "Dipper? Mabel?" He sighed. "Oh who am I kidding. I'm not up for this?" He made for the exit and readied a coin. "Heads I stay, tails say I should go home and make some dinosaur shaped cookies." He flipped the coin that begun to slow into a stop, along with everything else. Soos wondered what was going on and tapped the coin. "Huh, that's unconventional."
PEW!
Suddenly a light crackled time to normalcy and sent the coin and hat flying. Soos turned to find Dipper and Mabel returned, with Blendin sending them, the Wayfinders and the tag along pokemon. The Pines called out. "Soos!" The grown up was surprised. "Guys?!"
Dipper apologized. "We're so sorry for leaving you hanging dude. We got caught in some Time Travel junk." Aqua waved. "We've all disappeared right as we caught some friends." She and Ven showed Bursty, who was drawn away by the light show and Regidrago, who was still like a deer in the head lights.
Mabel added. "Don't forget about the Time Dragon!" Soos went to get his hat back on as the girl continued. "The point is, Soos. We think we found a way to fix your birthday." Soos needed time to set that in. "Really?! Wait, you guys did all that just for me?"
Ven was more surprised. "So that's why you let yourselves get caught?" Blendin sighed and pressed a button. "That's not all." He let out the Time Wish orb. "Behold your Time Wish!" Soos was given the cosmic orb. "The power to alter time, paradox free at any way your choose."
Dipper explained. "We think that the only thing that can make you happy is meeting your dad." Mabel asked. "But the choice is yours." Soos asked again. "You mean I can finally see my dad by touching this thing. And you guys battled through Time and Space just to get this for me?" He read an old post card in thought at a feat that is most impressive. "Alright, here goes nothing."
He pressed his hand on the orb and caused it to crackle in a blinding light. Nothing else happened beyond the Pines and their friends being remedied from the battles they fought. "What?!"
Soos was pleased. "Bam, fixed you all right up. Enjoy dudes." Dipper stuttered. "But Soos, what about meeting your dad?"
Soos thought more about that. "Well. Birthdays are suppose to be spent with the people who care about you. But you know what, that dude didn't care about me to visit me once. Let alone fight monsters through time and space like you dudes. I mean, you won a gladiator fight just to make me happy. I've been ridiculous this whole time. Where ever my dad was-" He tossed the post card into the trash. "he can take a hike." He crouched. "I know who my family is now and it's you dudes." He and the Pines had a group hug. "Thanks for giving me the best birthday ever."
Bursty was nearly in tears as Cyndi grunted proudly. Blendin however was furious. "Are you kidding me?! Do you have any idea what you just wasted?! Do you know how many have died to get a Time Wish?! The..the wars that were started?!"
That was a point to be made and Soos had another thing to announce. "Oh that's not all dudes." He showed off a piece of pizza. "I also wished for this slice of infinite pizza. Watch." Nom! He took a bite and the slice regenerated as fresh as before. I can do that for like infinity." It's agreed upon that it is an effective use of a wish, an infinite, always fresh and tasty food source.
Soos asked the Pines. "There's still ten minutes before laser tag closes. You dudes want to play?" Dipper cheered. "Yeah!" He, his sister and Soos went into the arena for more play.
Leaving the band behind. Trevenant crossed his arms and grunted. (That ended well.) Sweet Puff nodded with him. (Pretty nice adventure.)
It wasn't long until Aqua gasped at something. "Oh crud. There's someone we forgotten about." Kadabra realized as well. "Kitsune!"
Ven gasped. "Right, he didn't follow us when we left the Labyrinth." Blendin gave a what and Aqua explained fast. "It's some mystical interdimensional cavern that could apparently reach beyond the veil of time if needed. That was where that Cyborg came from and he took a clue we were looking into." She thought out loud. "It's some Heart Fragment and we were so caught up in those games that we didn't get the chance to take it back. If the Cyborg came from that Labyrinth, then that ought to be where the fragment is as well."
Blendin realized. "A Heart Fragment?! One of the pieces of a persons very being?! What could someone want with that?"
At the Terestal Labyrinth.
Suiten was taken aback by the Cyborg kneeling before her, while presenting the coveted Heart piece. The Lady insist as she took the fragment. "Brother, you don't have to do that. You've done exactly as I asked, getting this piece where it belongs."
She took her Keyblade and tapped, causing clouds to stir in the sky. They darken and grayed, wind began to pick up harshly. She looked to a comfortable chair. "Take a little breather while I handle the rest." The Cyborg stood up to do as asked. "What of the Jugulis? She wasn't ready to be activated when we assigned her for the mission."
Suiten agreed with her brother. "She really wasn't. At least not enough to operate on her own. But now, we have what we need to have her function at peak capacity."
The Cyborg looked out at the brewing storm and relaxed, flickering away in light little by little. At the same hue, the Iron Valiant shined and begun to activate, akin to waking up. He was a little confused and shook himself. (Urg, that was a strange dream.) He saw a storm coming and saw his lady holding the Heart Fragment. (Milady. Is that the Heart Fragment we've been looking for?)
Suiten smiled strangely. "I have my ways to get it, but soon, Abigale will finally be complete." She laughed as she had the fragment spirited away. "At long last, the Defenders of the Light will soon face the Storm that will blow away their doubts. It's it's wake, the path to the greater world will be revealed. That ignorance they're finally acknowledging will become a thing of yor and they'll will have what they need for a greater tomorrow."
She eased her breathing at a plan that is to be unleashed. "Once they see it, once Abigale sees them for who they are. They'll be enroute to uncovering the real mystery behind that horrid, horrid war." She looked back to the Valiant, offering a hand. "Every stain from that legacy will be washed away by their tears and their hearts will be cleansed. Freed from those old haunts and free to become legends of their own." The Valiant was seeing his lady about to loose it, Suiten beacon. "May they brave this Storm, may they hear her scream."
Valiant nudged her, snapping her out of her trance.
