Hello guys I'm so excited to have finally uploaded a new chapter within a month of the previous one. I worked really hard to ensure that you guys would be getting a new chapter this close to Christmas. I hated myself for giving you guys a new chapter once every 4 to 5 months so I tried my hardest to give you a new chapter and somehow managed it. Despite the fact that im inconsistent, I thank you all for continuing to support my story and you are all my inspiration to continue writing update as fast as I can.
I know there are quite a few people who aren't happy that im not updating as much as I used to and I am sorry for that. Believe me, if I could grow money on trees, I would have quit my job and focused solely on this but unfortunately science fiction is reserved for stories like these. Our characters are lucky guys. Wish I was one of them :D :D.
In any case, thank you all for sticking with me and I hope this chapter makes up a bit for the massive delay between chapters. I will try my best to ensure I can at least update once a month so fingers crossed. Other than that, I hope you enjoy it.

Blasts and explosion could heard throughout Kouh academy as the forces of Kokabiel clashed against Rias, Tiamat and the others.
The remaining 3 Cerberus having witnessed their companion get absolutely destroyed by Tiamat decided to stay far away from her and attacked Rias and the others. Xenovia prepared her Excalibur destruction to engage.
"Rias Gremory! As much as it hurts for me to admit it, we need to team up against these things. Is it alright to assume you think the same?" She inquired to Rias who nodded.
"Of course, I'm so prideful to admit that we need all the help we can get so for the moment as we share a common enemy, it is only logical for us to team up. Can you and Kiba-kun deal with one of the Cerberus?"
"It's possible but I'm not sure your knight will want to work alongside me considering our previous engagement." Xenovia answered. It's true that Kiba was less than enthusiastic to work with Xenovia since she works for the Church which was the bane of his existence. There is also the fact that Xenovia practically kicked his butt in their spar and the only reason they were collaborating before was due to Issei Hyoudou.
"Right now we don't have the luxury about caring who we team up with. Kiba-kun" She called out to her knight who turned around.
"Yes Buchou!" he answered. Seems the talk with Issei truly calmed him down which made Rias hopeful.
"I'm not sure if you heard me but can you work alongside Xenovia to take care of one of the Cerberus while the rest of us deal with the others. I know you hate the church for good reason but right now I truly need you to put aside your rage and work alongside her to take down our enemies. Can you do that?" Rias asked hoping to the Maous that Kiba would be able to follow her request. At worst, she would have to order him to team with the exorcist and she abhorred giving orders to her servants who she viewed as family unless it's a last resort.
Kiba, for his part, wanted to deal with Valper the moment he saw him but current circumstances prevented that from happening. Luckily, he wasn't so far gone that he would have automatically charged straight at Valper in his rage. If he did so, no doubt he would have died before even coming close to the exiled priest. The conversation he had with Issei was truly a blessing and he understood that he needed to think rationally otherwise he would die a pointless death. Right now, he needed to follow Rias command and deal with Cerberus before he could even approach Valper. He took a deep sigh and responded.
"Yes Buchou, I understand and I'm sorry for my previous behaviour." He apologized causing Rias to smile.
"It's already forgiven. After what you had gone through, I can understand why you acted as such. In any case, Kiba and Xenovia will deal with one Cerberus. Matsuda and Akeno will deal with another while Koneko-chan and I will deal with the last one. Asia-chan will be in charge of healing anyone who requires healing. Everyone got it?" Rias stated her instructions and everyone nodded.
"Yes Buchou!" They all answered at the same time.
"Rias, you shouldn't need to take care of all of them by yourself, we can help" Sona interrupted offering her aid but Rias had a different plan in mind for Sona.
"I know but I believe it would be wiser if you and your team reinforced the barrier surrounding the battlefield. If worst comes to worst and we aren't able to stop Kokabiel, we need to be able to mitigate the amount of damage to the city and its inhabitants. We have been placed in charge of Kouh and it is our responsibility to ensure its safety what ever the cost. You are way more proficient than me in barrier techniques so you and your peerage are the best for the job. Can you do this?" Rias gave her reasoning to Sona who could not help but be surprised with her strategy.
"Of course we can. Although I must say that I never expected such a strategy from you. I honestly expected you would have just gone recklessly charged forward like your usual self. I am truly impressed" Sona exclaimed causing Rias to chuckle.
"fufu, I appreciate the compliment but as much as I would love to have taken credit for this, it's Issei-san who helped me realize the importance of having several strategies when we were training for the Riser game. That's why I'm planning for the worst. If we fail to contain Kokabiel, we need to mitigate as much damage before reinforcements arrive. You and your team are the best members for the job. Can you do it?"
Sona glanced at Rias before nodding. "Very well, I will adhere to your request but please be careful Rias. Even though they are replicas, its still a fearsome monster and that's not even including the remaining threats to deal with." Sona warned her friend to be careful.
"Don't worry, we will. Besides we have Tiamat-sama and even some constructs left behind by Issei-san. Also, we've spent 2 weeks training against Tiamat-sama and Issei. Compared to those two dragons, this fake imitation of Cerberus is nothing compared what those two have put us through." Rias shivered as she remembered the tortu… I mean training the two dragons helped them with. Indeed compared to that, this fight with Cerberus would feel like childs play in comparison. Seeing her confidence, Sona nodded and took her team to reinforce the barrier to the best of her abilities. As much as she hated to admit it, her team would probably get in the way so the best thing for her to do would to follow Rias instruction and try to reinforce the barrier as best as they can. This territory has been placed under their protection and she would do everything in her power to protect it.
Rias took her position as she conjured her power of destruction in the palm of her hand. Her members had taken their own position as the 3 Cerberus begun their assault.
Kiba and Xenovia being the fastest begun their battle with the Cerberus first. Kiba activated his sacred gear and conjured a demonic sword beginning to strike at the incoming Cerberus. Cerberus lifted its giant paw and swiped towards the incoming knight wanting to shred him to pieces. Unfortunately, it would never be granted its wish as Kiba easily swayed away to dodge with minimal movement. Compared to sparring against Tiamat or Issei, this dogs attack was way to slow to ever hit him. As he dodged, he delivered several attacks to the unguarded parts of the Cerberus

ROOAAAARRR
The three heads roared in pain and anger as they tried to counterattack but Kiba was way to quick as he continued to deliver several attacks. All three heads then tried shooting out several balls of fire hoping to incinerate their annoying enemy and for a moment it looked like the attack succeeded as it looked like it hit however that was far from the truth as Kiba had quickly dodged behind the three headed dog. Now withs its guard down, Kiba slashed and severed one of its heads.
RRROOOAAARRRRR
Cerberus roared in anguish as one of its heads had been severed. The pain caused it to go berserk as it focused all of its attention towards Kiba forgetting that there was another opponent to deal with. Seeing her chance Xenovia charged forward and swung her excalibur destruction and delivered a heavy blow towards the dog causing it to fly several feet away allowing Kiba to take a breather as he positioned himself next to Xenovia.
"Not bad Knight of Gremory. I'll admit you are stronger than I thought. Had you fought like that during our spar, the result might have been different" Xenovia complimented his fighting ability. He was certainly way more competent compared to their spar a few days ago.
"My head wasn't in the match that time. Anyways I don't think this is the time to talk about that. Let's finish taking down this enemy first. We don't have time to waste." Kiba replied knowing that time wasn't on their side.
Xenovia nodded. "You are right."
Kiba then darted once again towards the wounded Cerberus who was moving sluggishly courtesy of its missing head and blood loss. As a result, it could not perform any efficient attack and provided many openings which the swordsmen immediately pounced on. They both swung their swords beheading the rest of its heads before Cerberus evaporated into ash.
Matsuda immediately started charging up his boosted gear as he engaged Cerberus.
["Boost"]["Boost"]
Cerberus tried to bite down at Matsuda but he dodged by jumping sideways before taking a swing on the side of its stomach. The hit was successful causing Cerberus to roar in pain.
"Take that you stupid mutt. Go back to hell where you belong!" Matsuda yelled out. Cerberus clearly didn't like that as all three heads spewed out fireballs from their mouths at Matsuda whose eyes went wide eyed before he jumped out of the way.
"What the hell? They can breath fire! That's so bullshit." Complained Matsuda.
["They are known as the Gatekeeper of Hell partner so its normal for it to be able to do so."] Ddraig explained to his host.
"Well I wish you told me that sooner. Would have been good to know that this dog could shoot out fire when its not even a dragon. Why can't I do that?" Matsuda was clearly jealous of the fact that he couldn't shoot fire while a freakin dog could.
["You will be able to eventually when you reach Balance Breaker. Anyways stop complaining and focus on the battle at hand. The dog is about to attack."] Just as Ddraig stated, Cerberus restarted its assault towards Matsuda unleashing its claws and fangs in a relentless assault trying to catch its prey.
[Boost][Boost]
Matsuda kept boosting his power while dodging its attacks. Of course, he could not dodge every attack as eventually Cerberus managed to score a painful slash towards Matsuda unprotected arm.
SLASH
"Ouch! That hurts!"
["Be careful not to get within rage of its strikes. Use your sight to determine the distance you need to keep as you dodge."] advised Ddraig.
"I know Ddraig, I know." He replied before looking towards Akeno "Akeno-fukubuchou, are you ready yet?"
"I'm almost ready Matsuda-san. Just give me a bit more time." Akeno replied as she was charging up her demonic energy. The plan was for Matsuda to distract Cerberus by bearing the brunt of its assault while Akeno was busy charging up her power to deal the finishing blow and so far everything went according to plan. Matsuda was able to keep Cerberus attention towards him and away from his colleague.
"I'm ready!" Akeno warned Matsuda that she finished accumulating the necessary amount of power causing Matsuda to breath out a sigh of relief.
"Yes finally. Thank Maou! Don't know how long I was going to be able to deal with this." He yelled out before punching Cerberus in one of its heads causing it to momentarily stop its movement but that was enough for him to separate and move behind Akeno.
["Boost"]["Boost"]
"Alright we are ready as well. Let's do this Ddraig"
["Transfer"]
Since the start of the battle, Matsuda had been continuously boosting using his sacred gear, all for this chance to transfer that energy to Akeno so she could unleash one massive attack to finish off Cerberus. Akeno's power suddenly tripled thanks to the boost and she knew it would be enough to deal with the enemy ahead of her.
"Take this you oversized dog." She pointed towards Cerberus and a huge bolt of Thunder quickly descended and struck Cerberus head on.
ROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRRR
The attack was extremely effective as it let out a shriek of pain from being electrocuted to death. Soon that shriek turned into a whimper before it became silent and all that was heard was its corpse collapsing on the ground.
"We did it." Matsuda celebrated, happy to have been able to take down their opponent.
"Ufufu, we did. Good job Matsuda-san."
"You too Akeno fukubuchou."
["While its great you took down Cerberus, don't forget there are more enemies to deal with. You can celebrate after they have been dealt with"] Ddraig warned the two of them.
"Let's go"
Finally, there remained only one Cerberus. The one fought by Rias and Koneko. Koneko, being the rook, took to the frontlines against the enemy. Cerberus attempted to smash her away with a swipe of its claw but unlike the others, Koneko didn't need to dodge and simply guarded against the attack with little difficulty. Her enhanced strength and defense gifted by her rook piece came in clutch. Cerberus looked confused over the fact that the tiny prey in front of it was able to withstand its attack. This was a poor decision as it let down its guard enough for Koneko to strike back at it.
"Go, fly" she stated as she unleashed a devastating punch towards its stomach causing it to go flying backwards and smash into a tree.
ROOOAAARRRRR
It roared in pain before looking ferociously towards Koneko who didn't want to give it a chance to recover and dashed towards it. Cerberus prepared to unleash a wave of fire at her but Rias wasn't going to have any of that.
"Oh no you don't." she shouted conjuring several spheres of her power of destruction and sent them flying towards all three of Cerberus heads. The attack hit which succeeded in cancelling out its breath attack as well as allowing Koneko to approach the three headed dog safely. She immediately begun infusing her punches with senjutsu energy and immediately started attacking Cerberus. Every hit caused Cerberus to lose its life energy. It tried to strike back but every attempt was thwarted by Rias who covered fired for Koneko whenever she left herself to open for attack. Every attack caused Cerberus to become weaker and weaker until it could barely even stand. That is the strength of senjutsu energy. It was powerless to do anything. In the meantime, Rias had been accumulating enough demonic energy to get rid of the beast in a single blow. The time was now right to destroy it.
"It's time to blow you away you pale imitation." Rias unleashed her power of destruction towards Cerberus who had no energy left to evade. As a result, it took the attack head on which immediately killed it without even a sound.
"Good job Koneko-chan." Rias praised her rook for performing well in the battle.
"Thank you Buchou." She replied.
"Now, let's get back to everyone. It seems they are also finished on their end but the battle is far from over as there are still countless enemies to deal with. I really have to thank Issei for leaving behind those summons of his. They have been able to distract the majority of Kokabiels forces. If it wasn't for that, we would have probably gotten ambushed during our fights" Rias looked towards different parts of the battlefield where the dragon summons of Issei were currently engaging against the forces of Kokabiel making sure to protect them against all threats. Despite being outnumbered, the constructs were doing extremely well against their opponents and from what Rias could see, each of them had different sets of abilities which made up of Issei's abilities. The blue dragon was able to freeze any enemy that came its way. The black one burned its enemies alive until only ashes remained. The white one, she could guess was made of holy energy which was a danger to them as devils but that's probably the reason its positioned very far away from them. In any case, if it wasn't for them, they would have been in a world of trouble.
Up in the sky, Kokabiel and Tiamat continued to clash in the sky. Kokabiel conjured a light spear in his hands and immediately went to strike Tiamat who guarded the attack by reinforcing her arms with scales. Sparks could be seen every time these two clashed. Eventually, Kokabiel realized that all of his Cerberus were destroyed as he looked towards the devils.
"Well, well, well! I have to say that I'm extremely surprised that the devils were able to dispatch my little toys so quickly. I didn't expect them to be that strong. Seems I have underestimated the brats."
Tiamat smirked at Kokabiel's remark.
"You underestimated them too much Kokabiel. Both Issei and I have trained them for a while and they have grown stronger as a result. No pale imitation of Cerberus is going to get the best of them." Tiamat had no doubt they were going to be able to easily fend off those mutts. The training they had with them wasn't all for nothing. Plus it seems they continued their training individually while she was away.
"hahaha, is that so! If those little devils were indeed trained by the two of you it makes sense that they were able to kill those Cerberus. I initially brought them for entertainment while waiting for the spell to complete but it seems like I overestimated their worth. Oh well, it doesn't matter anyways since they will all die in the end." Kokabiel returned his own smirk back at Tiamat.
"That will never happen. Not while I'm here you worthless bird." Growled Tiamat in anger.
"Then by all means, do your best to make that happen" replied Kokabiel sarcastically.
Tiamat immediately charged towards Kokabiel to re-engage him. Kokabiel tapped what appeared to be a bracelet on his wrist and then his light spear suddenly changed color from white to a darker red hue which raised alarm Bell's to Tiamat's instincts. Kokabiel then charged towards Tiamat swiping his spear in a side ways arc towards the incoming Tiamat. Tiamat once again attempted trusted her defences as she got ready to guard. Unfortunately, that was the wrong choice as Kokabiel's light spear started tearing through her defences but before Kokabiel could sever her limbs, she separated herself with a beat of her wings to create some distance. She then looked in surprise at the tears of her arms, blood dripping from the gap. She then glared at Kokabiel.
"When the hell did you learn to imbue your attacks with dragon slaying magic?" Only dragon slaying abilities could tear through the defences of a dragon and she could feel dragon slaying magic from Kokabiel's attacks. However, from what she knew, Kokabiel never had such abilities.
"I knew you would realize sooner or later but to answer your question, I haven't developed such ability. The credit for this goes to the good old doctor over there" He pointed to Dr. Stylish who was looking over the battlefield at his creations. "He created this little marvelous tool" Kokabiel lifted his arm to show the bracelet on his wrist "which allows the user to imbue their attacks with different properties. In my case, I imbued my light spear with the dragon slaying property. Truly an outstanding tool. Humans have really come a long way if they are able to produce items of this caliber" Kokabiel praised his fellow colleagues genius.
Tiamat looked at her injuries surprised by the amount of damaged she sustained from an item. Even if it imbued Dragon slaying energies into the attack, it shouldn't be this potent.
"Wondering how I was able to deal so much damage?" Kokabiel seemed to be able to read her thoughts but was more than pleased to enlighten her.
"This item true strength lies in the strength of its user. The stronger the user is, the more energy its able to imbue into any attack. I heard Dr. Stylish had given the prototype of this fantastic tool to his forces that were sent alongside my own fallen previously. However, those could only produce a limited amount of energy. If I had used those defective tools then I would be hard pressed to have damaged you but this here is the perfected version of that prototype. In fact, all of his subordinates are currently wielding similar tools. I wanted something to be able to at least put up a fight against that monstrous dragon you call your mate if things went wrong and I certainly never expected to face the strongest Dragon King herself but it pays to be prepared as now I have the means even the likes of you" He pointed his spear at Tiamat while smirking evily.
Tiamat scowled at Kokabiel "hmf, don't get ahead of yourself you arrogant fallen. You may have injured me but you are 100 years to early to even think you can defeat me even with your little toy." Tiamat's aura then surged as she gathered power and several chaotic spheres started appearing all around her.
"Chaos Cannon"
Several spheres begun launching themselves towards Kokabiel who took evasive action to dodge them.
"You want to fight at a distance. Fine by me. I'll gladly play along" Kokabiel lifted his hand and dozens of light spears appeared and was thrust towards Tiamat. Each of them were of course imbued with Dragon slaying aura so Tiamat had to dodge them or counter them with an attack of her own. Their fight has now shifted from close range combat to long distance. Tiamat had to be very careful now that Kokabiel was able to actually be a threat to her. Under normal circumstance, Tiamat is stronger than Kokabiel. She wasn't the strongest dragon king for no reason but with the addition Dr. Stylish tool which adds in Dragon slaying energy into his attack, it looks like they are evenly matched. Multiple explosions of teal and red can be observed in the sky as both of their attacks keep colliding with another. One thing is for sure, the battle has just started.
Rias and the others were once again engaged in combat against the enemy forces. As strong as issei's summons were, the enemy was numerous so there was bound to be enemies that slipped through them and it was made even worst when Dr. Stylish sent some of his metallic knights to fight. As a result, they were all engaged in combat. Xenovia took charge to deal with Freed who had taken the reconstructed Excalibur since she felt it was the church's responsibility to deal with him. Unfortunately, due to the fact that his weapon possessed all of the abilities of the Excalibues combined, he became a very tricky opponent to deal with for Xenovia. Currently he possessed the abilities of mimic, rapidly, transparency, blessing and nightmare making it impossible to predict. Luckily for her, Rias and the others tried to back her up whenever it looked like she was in a jam. All in all, everyone was doing their best except for one person.
Kiba, for his part, ignored all this chaos. Instead, he walked, pace by pace, towards the man that was responsible for it all. For the nightmare. For the project. For the deaths of his friends. He stalked towards the man, murderous intent in his gaze. Yet he did not draw a sword.
His lips drew breath, and expelled words that, despite their relative calm, were so full of fury they could have blackened the sun.
"Valper Galilei!"
The man turned to stare at the blonde-haired Devil, his gaze a pure reflection of evil.
"I am a survivor of the Holy Sword Project" Kiba hissed. "No, more accurately… I'm someone you murdered, reborn as a Devil and I have one question for you!"
"Oh!" Valper looked at him curiously.
"Why?" Kiba screamed. "Why did you murder all of us"
"Hmph…" Valper replied. "A survivor of the project, hmm? I had heard one of the subjects escaped… too bad, you really should have stayed dead. Thanks to you all, though, I was able to complete the project."
"After you decided we were failures and killed all of us!" Kiba shouted.
"Oh, come now, boy," Valper said, his voice filled with a sick amusement. "I'd found the gene and element I needed and figured I could just extract it. What was I going to do with you? You were raw materials for a project. Nothing more. Be grateful; thanks to you, my research was able to develop this."
At that, the demented Archbishop drew something from his coat and held it up. "These crystals are what let the church use Holy Swords in masse. All thanks to my research… though Michael himself condemned me even as they continued to use my research anyway. Those shitty hypocrites." Kiba could not even form coherent sentences at this point, so great was his rage.
"You know, that one right there" He pointed towards Freed who was busy fighting with Xenovia "He was able to take multiple crystals without flinching while many others we used died after only consuming one."
"Of course, I the amazing Freed am the best" boasted Freed when he heard Valper compliment him.
"You are nothing but a disgrace of an exorcist!" Xenovia yelled out before she tried to slash Freed with her own Excalibur destruction. Unfortunately, Freed used the abilities of Rapidly to make an easy escape like the snake he is.
"Hey, hey don't forget that it was also thanks to my beautiful work that you were even able to absorb all those crystals." Dr. Stylish added as he posed complimenting his own ego.
"You… You son of a bitch" spat Kiba. Valper simply snorted. "Why are you so obsessed over useless things. Here boy, you can have this useless crystal. It's just a shell at this point and I have already perfected the experiment." He threw the crystal towards Kiba.
"How dare you insult my knight. I will kill you." Rias yelled as she unleashed a burst of destruction towards Viper however it was easily deflected by one of the metallic knights.
"Damn these things. How resilient are they" she frowned before launching several more attacks towards the armor which barely did anything. Things were not looking so good for them. They were being overrun by sheer numbers and strength. If it wasn't for Issei's summons and Tiamat, they would have all been killed already.
Kiba bent down slightly taking the crystalized element that contained the essence of his dead comrades into his hands. As he did so, tears began to flow down his face as he stared at the crystal.
"Everyone" he whispered. "I'm so sorry… why was I the one who got to survive when none of you did? Some of you had more aspirations then me, were younger than me and wanted to live more than me… Why was it me that survived? I… Please forgive me… I'm so sorry" He cried. This was when lights had begun to dance around him catching the attention of everyone
His eyes had not moved up nor had he noticed what had drawn the attention of everyone else.
It was only when he started hearing a voice that he looked up for it was a voice he had believed he would never hear again. Then another followed and another.
When Kiba looked up, he saw an impossible sight within the lights, one only visible to his own eyes. The lights had assumed the forms of people. Not just anyone but of his beloved comrades, his friends, his brothers and sisters. They all stood around him.
"It's alright Isaiah"
"You don't need to blame yourself anymore"
"We have always been by your side, in your heart"
"No Matter where you go we will always be together"
"Even if there is no God anymore"
"So please don't cry anymore"
"Live Isaiah. Find the happiness that you deserve for yourself and for us. We will experience it all alongside. From now and always, we will always be with you."
Soon they all started humming a song, one that Asia recognized.
"That's the sacred song." It's a song Kiba recognized. How could he not! When they were going through the painful experiment, this was the only thing they obtained to keep their hopes and dreams. This was the only support they had to continue living during their harsh life.
Their bodies soon begun to glow blue.
"No matter what, our hearts will always be"
"As One" they all stated at the same time before, with a glimmering shimmer, the spirits of Kiba's family begun to flow into his heart and the crystal shattered.
"This is…" Valper exclaimed in shock. Several others seemed to have realized what is about to happen as Koba lifted up his sword.
["Partner"] Ddriag spoke to Matsuda.
"What is it?"
["It seems that Gremory's knight has breached the threshold and reached it"]
"Reached what" he asked confused.
["His Balance Breaker"]
"Ehh! You mean Kiba unlocked his balance breaker just now?"
["Indeed! His heart and that of his comrades we saw have all aligned in accordance to his will which has led to him surpassing the limits bound to his Sacred Gear. That is Balance Breaker!"]
"I will become a sword. A sword meant to protect Buchou and my comrades. That is how I will pay back all of my friends who sacrificed their lives for me. So please respond to my feelings now"
"SWORD BIRTH" Kiba shouted into the air. Another great formation of light followed. Soon it took form in Kiba's palm taking the form of a sword. What was surreal was the fact that the sword seemed to possess holy and demonic powers combined. Something which is supposed to be impossible.
"Balance Breaker Sword of the Betrayer"
"W-What is that? That looks like…! A sword with both demonic and holy attributes. That's impossible. It cannot be possible" yelled out Valper in shock and fear.
As the light swindled down, Kiba looked at his new balance breaker and held it firmly in his hands. The unyielding hatred in his eyes from before appears to have diminished and was replaced with ones with clear determination.
"Valper Galilei… I lived my whole life wishing for the day I would be able to exact revenge against you and Excalibur for what you had done to my family and when the time finally came, I let my revenge consume me because I believed I had to avenge my friends who gave up their lives to save mine but I was wrong. All it did was make me alienate myself from my new friends and family. A good friend once reminded me that my vengeance is useless because this was not what my family would have wanted for me and he was right. I cannot let my past dictate my future. My family didn't wish for me to live my life dictated by vengeance. I know, because I wouldn't have wanted that for them either. I would have wanted them to live their lives filled with hope. I would have prayed that they find happiness in life because that is what they deserved. Living a life full of hatred isn't living. That isn't what they wanted for me when they gave up their lives but I convinced myself all these years otherwise but now I will walk a path they can be proud of."
Kiba began to approach Valper once more. This time, you could actually see Valper looking somewhat frightened despite the fact that Kiba showed no more malice in his expression.
"That's why I will defeat you Valper. Not out of vengeance but rather to ensure that you will no longer hurt anyone else ever again. So that no one has to suffer as we have." Kiba declared that he would defeat Valper.
Now clearly despaired, Valper called out to Freed.
"OYYY Freed, come and protect me!"
Freed was in the middle of fighting Xenovia when he received that instruction.
"Alright boss! Sorry bitch, seems I need to save my superior so do me a favor and get out of my way" Freed activated Rapidly. In a burst of Speed Xenovia did not expect he swung his sword at her. Xenovia had to make a sloppy guard and as a result was blasted backwards allowing Freed to jump in between Kiba and Valper.
"Hey there pretty boy! Did you miss me?" Freed pointed his Excalibur at Kiba.
"Freed, you need to take him down right now with the completed Excalibur. Who knows what powers that balance breaker of his possesses." Valper ordered him to take him down.
"I was going to do that boss but I highly doubt this shitty devil can match the might of the holy sword-sama"
Kiba glared at Freed.
"Kibaaaa. Take down that asshole and his Excalibur" Matsuda shouted.
"Matsuda-kun."
"Go Kiba-kun. Surpass Excalibur and defeat this insane priest. For yourself and your family. You are my precious and knight I know you will never lose to some random Excalibur" Rias chimed in her support.
"Buchou"
The rest also added their own support.
"Yuuto-kun, we believe in you."
"Yuuto-senpai… win!"
"You can do it"
Akeno, Koneko and Asia. Kiba felt touched by the support of his comrades… no his new family.
"awwww, what a touching cheerleading squad, its making Freed-sama feel noxious. It doesn't matter either way because you will all die today you worthless devils hahahaha." Freed stated followed by a crazy laughter.
"That will never happen. I will never let my family die again. This I swear as the Knight of Gremory." Kiba stated as he charged towards Freed who decided to meet him head on in a clash of swords.
Chapter End
And that's the end of the chapter. I told myself that I was going to update a chapter today so I wrote as much as I could before posting this. Im sure some of you are wondering about the Issei vs Renekton as it's the main event and believe me its coming. I just thought that I would divide them seperatly where you'll have one chapter dedicated to Kokabiel vs everyone then shift to renekton vs Issei.
Right now im thinking about whether I should make the next chapter Renekton vs Issei then alternate between the two or if I should just finish here first then move to the main event. So many choices but you'll probably get the answer in the next chapter. I'll probably decide based on which idea I can finish first between the two of them :D :D.
In any case, I hope you enjoyed it. There are probably some mistakes that some might find and I am sorry for that if it occurs. Unfortunately, I'm not a writer and I simply write what comes to mind and most of the times, it might not make sense but hey that is fanfiction. I'm not an expert by any means and i will never claim that that but I do my best to make it as good and efficient as I can and pray that I made a good enough job that you enjoyed it. :D
