Chapter 2: Spinning The First Wheel of Fate.
I think can handle that. I read fanfics and stories about people reincarnated into Twilight, I never thought I would be one of them though. I saw the first movie and read some fanfics online, so I know some of the details of what is going on in the story.
I'm not too worried about the restriction either. I'm just happy I have the option to choose if I can be her sibling or just a random person in this universe. I am a bit relieved that I didn't have to be a part of the other dangerous options, especially American Horror Story, but this universe can still be dangerous.
"I choose this universe, I choose Twilight. Also, I have nothing against her, but I choose to be a random person," I explained.
Nothing against Bella, it just seems like a better choice because I don't know the storyline well enough to follow it after the first movie. I mean I do remember some of the crucial stuff, such as the baseball scene and the birthday party. I thought to myself nodding in agreement.
"Okay, great choice!" He said, looking happy as a clam with my choice.
You know what, I wonder where that saying came from, happy as a clam, people just starting saying it and it just stuck. Which makes no sense clams never change facial expressions nor are they happy, I rambled to myself in my thoughts.
Liam cleared his throat looking at me expectedly, It seemed that he could sense that I was distracted.
Oh… yeah. I forgot he could hear me for a second. I smiled at him sheepishly as he chuckled.
"Since you chose this choice, you get to spin a wheel to see your species!" He continued still looking amused and pulled a cord and a wheel drop from the ceiling.
It was a giant spin wheel with dividers for the options with a red arrow. What the heck, how does that wheel fit up there?! I thought to myself, looking at the ceiling and wondering how the wheel fit in the small space and then at the cord he pulled.
I shrugged and tried not to not to overthink it and decided to look at the options on the wheel.
Looking at the wheel, there was surprisingly a wide variety of species to choose from, including mythical creatures. What the heck?! Some of these choices are OP! A Banshee? A Centaur? An Elf? A Dark Elf? A Griffin? A Dragon?! There is even a Phoenix and Basilisk! Those are stuff you hear about in stories or myths! Well, I guess I'll have something to help with the vampires and shapeshifters in this world. I just hope I don't get something like a Gnome or a Zombie, I'll even be okay with being a regular human.
"First, you need to decide how many species you will have," he said while snapping his fingers, and suddenly, another wheel appeared next to the previous one.
I couldn't help but think he was showing off his magical abilities.
Show off. I thought to myself, Liam then turned to me with a cheeky smile, chuckled, and playfully winked, So, he was showing off. I shook my head and chuckled out loud. In the middle of my laughter, I paused for a moment, realizing what he had said earlier.
"Wait, did you say I can have many species?!" I asked with excitement. "Do you mean I can have more than one?!"
The idea of having multiple species was unexpected, but exciting nonetheless as I thought I would only be getting one.
"Yes, I will spin this wheel," he gestures to the wheel that he snapped into existence, "and what it lands on you will get. You could get one, two, three, or four then after that, we will move onto the next wheel," he again gestures to this time the wheel that came from the ceiling, "and I will spin and you will get the species chosen."
"What if I get more than one?" I asked.
"Then I will spin the wheel again and take off the species that you already have." He said laughing as if the answer was obvious. Well, I guess that was obvious.
"Also, before you ask, when your species is chosen, I will explain what abilities and skills you will get from them," he stated. After a long pause, he asked, "Are you sure you're ready for this?"
His eyes seemed to search for any sign of wanting to back out or any doubt or hesitation in my expression as if he wanted to make sure that I was fully committed to whatever it was that we were about to do. It was clear that he wanted me to be certain before we proceeded any further.
I thought about my choice to either be reincarnated into another world or go back to my old world at any age, I guess once I choose this option there is no going back, no going back to Harry or Ivy. But on the other hand, there was no going back to a personless home and I could not change the family situation.
There is also the feeling of going and exploring another world which is something that excites me more than it should have in this situation.
After weighing the pros and cons for what seemed like an eternity, I took a deep breath and gave a nod to say that I was ready.
"Okay," he nodded, "let's get started." He grabbed the wheel that said how many species I would get. My heart raced as he spun the first wheel that would determine my fate, and I held my breath in anticipation.
