Chapter 4: The Final Combination
"Vampire, how will that work?" I asked looking towards Liam.
"Well, this is somewhat unexpected but intriguing, you will be a Vampire-Werewolf mixed with whatever you get next on the next spin," he said with a laugh. "You will be similar to the vampires in Twilight although you will not sparkle and will have fangs."
"Are you ready to hear about your next set of powers?"
I nodded my head, although I knew some things I would get because of the movie and legends.
"Okay, here we go your powers for this species are, enhanced speed, enhanced senses, hardening of body parts, durability, advanced healing, and retractable fangs. Before you ask, yes, because you're a vampire, you will be receiving a gift and I will let you pick. So choose something that will help you in your journey."
What is the one power that will help me in this universe? I thought to myself.
I thought about it for a moment before asking Liam, "Since I am a werewolf, will I already have a mental shield?"
He seems to think about it for a moment before saying, "Yes, but only in animal form."
I hummed, thinking about it more before finally, it clicked, a power that would reflect my personality and be useful, "I want the power to reflect any power used on me and others that I use my power on."
Liam looks at me for a second hesitantly before asking, "Like a shield, like the one Bella has?"
I shook my head, "Sorta, the one I'm thinking of is more like mental and physical self-defense for abilities with some extra, mine and her ability are similar, but my ability would be able to stay over long distances from touch instead of mentally passing it like hers does."
Liam smiled, thinking it over, "Yeah, that could work, I could do that." He snaps and excitedly gets out a paper and a pen, writing down my power and how I wanted it to work.
I smiled getting happy about the fact I got to choose my power.
"Okay, now that's done. Are you ready for the next spin or do you have any more questions about your vampire abilities?" He asked snapping again making the pen and paper disappear.
"No, I'm ready for it this time," I said nodding to myself, still grinning from the happiness from earlier.
He nodded and smiled seeing my expression and grabbed the wheel and spun.
This time I was ready for whatever the last species would be, although I had no idea what it would be. I watched as the wheel stopped spinning and got more excited than I'd ever been as I read the words, Witch.
"You seem very excited about this one," he said with a grin on his face as he turned to face me.
"Yes, I am! I am very excited!" I said bouncing up and down. Even though it wasn't the strongest mythical creature on the wheel, I'm very happy and excited about this option.
I've always had a soft spot for magic ever since I've watched the show, "Charmed" and the movie, "Now you see me."
I've always wanted to do magic but never was really good at it no matter how hard I tried or practiced. I love to watch people do it, it is amazing!
"Well, here's your opportunity to make that dream a reality," he said reading my thoughts. "I assume you are ready to hear your powers, yes?"
"Yes, yes I am!" I said excitedly. I have been waiting to hear about these powers since the wheel chose and I've read words, Witch.
"Okay, let's get this going," Liam said clearing his throat.
"Your powers for this species are shadow powers, telekinesis, illusions, the ability to make barriers, the ability to shapeshift, the ability to make potions, the ability to cast spells, and the ability to fly with any stick-like object. For now, when you reincarnate, you will only know basic spells and potions, but you can create new spells and potions over time. You will get a spell book with the powers of each of your species, so you don't forget, along with your basic spells and potions and there will be empty pages to write new ones and only you will be able to access and see your spell book."
This is everything I've ever dreamed of! This is amazing, I can make illusions! I couldn't even make a card disappear now I can make things disappear!
"What is shadow powers?" I asked, never hearing it before.
"Basically, you will be able to hide yourself and your things in shadows. However you cannot hide living things until you train more," he explained.
Wow! I thought to myself.
"Although you can put your stuff inside your own shadow, I suggest not hiding yourself inside your own shadow because your shadow will disappear if you're not there." I nodded in agreement with his logic.
"Also, what do you mean by the ability to shape-shift? Like can I change into animals, humans, chairs?" I asked.
He laughed hard when I mentioned chairs, his laugh kind of reminded me of Santa.
"Haha, Chairs? You are one silly human. I've never had this much fun talking with anyone in a long time. No, I'm afraid not, little one. You cannot change into any innate objects, however, you can change into any animal. However, for the first year or so you will only be able to change into your wolf form. Transforming into animals will be tough and painful in the beginning but the more you practice the easier it will become. I suggest practicing turning into smaller animals around your wolf size or smaller like a squirrel or a cat before you try something bigger like a bear or a lion."
I nodded my head making a note of that in my head, a note to self when transforming, think small.
He laughed out loud again, reading my thoughts. "You've been entertaining and joyful to be around, but now I think it's time we talk about the details."
