Chapter 12: Fun Baseball and Injures
It's been two years since I've visited the Cullens. I am now twelve years old.
Occasionally I feel someone trying to walk into my barrier before ending up outside of the woods, I figured it was probably Edward trying to find proof that this is where the baseball ended up, but failing each time.
Today is March 13, 2005, Bella has been in Forks for a while now which means that I could come to town. I waited a few months so everything could get settled with Bella finding out they are vampires. I figured it would have been too much drama to deal with two new girls and Bella's curiosity.
It hasn't rained yet this year, so I figured that the baseball scene hasn't happened yet. I decided I would head over there and observe from the woods again to see how things were going, Ivy didn't seem to object as she was also curious.
I turned into a bird again, erasing my scent and presence again, and took off in the direction of their house.
As I got closer to the Cullen's house, I noticed that instead of finding them at home, this time I found them in a clearing. I perched on a branch and peered down from the tree. It looked like none of them noticed that I was there.
I'm also thankful their gifts won't work on me. I am so happy that I decided to practice. Now I can turn it on whenever I want. I still have to practice more to pass it to someone.
I've discovered that practicing alone is tough, especially when your gift revolves around making physical contact with people.
As I looked closer at them they were all there wearing baseball gear and this time Bella was with them. I looked up and realized it was cloudy today.
Uh oh.
I watched them play baseball for a bit while keeping an eye on Alice to watch when she'd get a vision of the three red-eye vampires. Ivy and I chuckled as we watched Emmett and Edward fly into each other before pushing each other playfully.
Emmett then to my amazement climbed a tree to get the high ball. Then I saw Alice freeze and I knew fun baseball ended.
I watched how everyone froze when Alice said stop and she and Edward looked toward the part of the woods covered in fog and explained that more vampires were coming as they gathered together on the opposite side.
I flew over the fog before transforming into a raccoon again before heading back and watching from a different branch. When I got back the three red-eyed vampires were talking to Carlisle, but I saw the way James stared at Bella.
I could feel the tensions between the two covens of vampires.
Ivy spoke up, What are we going to do? Are we going to let them go knowing what happens next?
I told her, I didn't know before watching a bit longer.
James realized that Bella was a human which made tensions rise even more as they got into an attacking position.
As I was observing I didn't realize I had shaken the branch I was on which made Rosalie look up at me and we made eye contact. The more I looked into her eyes the more I felt drawn in.
I saw her freeze which made me panic, so panicked I almost didn't hear Ivy yelling at me, FAYE! We found one of our bonds! It's our parental bond!
Wait? That means! There's no way!
I watched as Rosalie nudged Emmett to look at me, and when he looked up at me, I felt the same bond draw me in as well.
FAYE! We found them both! Ivy said excitedly jumping up and down.
As soon as James, and Victoria saw that they were distracted, they decided to pounce.
What the? This didn't happen in the movie!
Rosalie and Emmett broke eye contact with me to defend. Ivy didn't like that very much, I could feel her anger which made me angry.
I ended up shifting into a bear and running over and tearing into Victoria first because I knew her power wouldn't work on me and in the original timeline she got away and caused more trouble.
She fought hard, biting me and scratching me before I tore her arms and head off.
I saw someone light her body on fire in the corner of my eye before I turned around and set my eyes on James, he looked nervous and uneasy.
Good.
I pounced on him and tore off his arm then his legs before his head. I turned around and looked at Laurent, who had been frozen on the spot, we stared at each other before I nodded my head to the woods, telling him a silent, Leave.
He nodded and took off.
I will admit I was contemplating killing Laurent but decided not to. I do believe that he will cause a little bit of trouble in the future. Maybe I should have taken an arm or a leg to get my point across. I could hear Ivy growl in agreement at the idea.
Whatever I will deal with it when it comes.
I shook my head and looked towards James's body which was now ash, someone must have burned it while Laurent and I were having that stare-down.
When I turned towards my bonds and their family, I noticed Edward blocking my view of Bella and rolled my eyes.
Ivy chimed in huffing, Rude! We just saved them a whole lot of drama! I nodded my head mentally at her comment before turning around, limping intending to go into the woods to head home.
FAYE! Where are you going?! We just found our parental bonds!
Ivy, we are hurt! We need to go home!
Our bonds will take care of us!
We just met them! What makes you think they will take care of a random bear?! They literally, eat us for breakfast!
Ivy let out a whimper knowing I was correct, Well-
Ivy and I paused our conversation when all of a sudden, I heard someone yell.
"Wait!" someone shout behind me, I froze whimpering as I put too much pressure on my paw.
Great. I think I injured my paw more.
Damn, she did a number on us, I told Ivy, she whimpered back in response. Even with our enchanted healing, this will take a while because of how deep some of these gashes are. I could create a potion but that would take time.
I decided to turn around and sit down to not put any pain on my injured limbs and back.
I look at the Cullens, pausing for them to continue, hoping it's a quick conversation.
"Do you think we could take you back to our house? I am a doctor, I might be able to patch you up," Carlisle asked looking at me hopefully.
I tilted my head, I decided to ask Ivy her opinion, What do you think, Ivy?
Ivy got excited her tail wagging, Yes, we can be closer to our bonds!
I mentally rolled my eyes at her obvious answer but slightly agreed with her statement as I looked at our bonds in the corner of my eye.
After weighing the pros and cons, I nodded in agreement to go to their house.
