Conquering Their Demons
Nigel begins to run as Khyber chases after him with his now flaming knives, meanwhile Luke jumps up to where the seating area would be, overlooking the arena and hurls down flaming batons aiming to hit.
Nigel sees the fire had also spread onto Khyber's arms so even if he gets a knife embedded into the ground, Nigel can't run up it again. He then gets an idea on how he can stun Khyber who is the bigger threat of the two both figuratively and literally. Nigel avoids the attacks of the evil butcher till he reaches one of the flaming batons and uses Telekinesis to pick it up and hurls it at Khyber.
"Man, those things hurt!" Khyber grunts out in pain as he hunches over.
Nigel uses this opportunity to smack him in his head and quickly retreats as Khyber recovers to continue the chase. It was hard but Nigel keeps moving until he was a good distance away and throws another fire baton at Khyber.
"Oh, jeez. Not again!" Khyber winces in pain again as he was hit and hunches over.
Nigel whacks him in the head again. He then repeats this one more time and when he hits him in the head one last time after getting him to hunch over, Khyber dazed walks backwards and falls into the central grinder hole. He was then grounded up.
"Oooooo…what a way to go." Nigel winces looking away.
"Nigel…" The ghostly entity said as Nigel sees it only to the a figure to appear where it was and land on the ground, it was none other the Luke Skywaker, the real Luke this time and not Nigel's mental version of him, evident with his black acrobat suit looking less tattered and his skin was white. Luke seeing a shocked Nigel gets up and said smiling "Nigel! I see your skull is as hard to penetrate as ever!" he dusts himself off.
"Dad!" Nigel said smiling and runs over.
Luke then asked confused "What is your brain doing out here in this tank with this…other brain? And who are all these unconscious people? What have you gotten yourself involved with?"
"Psychics!" Mental Luke said as he jumps down still juggling as he talks to the real Luke "He's been cavorting with filthy, cheating psychics!"
Luke kneels down to Nigel's level and asked him surprised "Is that really…Is that really how I look in your mind?"
"Man, do I hate psychics, and seeing my son happy!" Mental Luke states.
"I don't hate psychics!" Luke tells Nigel and explained "I used my psychic connection with you to find you, and to project myself into your mind."
Nigel shocked to find out his father was a psychic as well asked "But how can you hate me for being psychic, if you're psychic too?" He turns away arms folded.
"Son, I could never hate you. I only wanted you to be happy, Nigel. And safe." Luke explained placing a hand on Nigel's shoulder. "Our family has many enemies." He then looks at Mental Luke and motions one hand to his mental copy and another to his head "Ahhhhhh!" He Psi Blasts his evil version sending him flying
"Eyaaaaaaa!" Mental Luke cries out as falls into the grinder.
"It looked like he had a lot less hair then I actually did as well!" Luke said frimly then looks to Nigel "Now, son, we have to carefully unweave your psyche from that other brain. We don't want anything bad to happen while your mind is in this tangled state. The damage could be permenant."
Right as he said that, the central grinder bursts out some meat and a large figure emerges it was a mutated looking fusion of Khyber and Mental Luke with both their heads both on the body as well. One foot was an arm and both arms were holding the two large knives.
"Unweave? Detangle?" Mental Luke said mockingly and looks to Khyber's head
"NEVER!" Khyber said in response to that.
"I like it this way." Mental Luke said smiling gleefully "I mean, look at how huge I am!"
"And I think I can….juggle now!" Khyber said in agreement, both twisted fathers laugh at this.
Luke looks to Nigel and tells him "This is your mind, so YOU are the strong one here. What I'm about to give you, my son you must take care of it. Because it's everything I've got." Nigel nods understanding.
Luke then transfers all his mental energy and power into Nigel. Nigel feels overwhelmed by the power too much to keep contained in as makes a flaming mental giant body of himself the same size of the two mutated combined fathers. Luke hunches down weakened after giving all his energy.
The tent was destroyed and seems the platform they were one is the only piece left of the meat circus. The Twisted fathers use the knives to shield themselves. Nigel goes and punches the Two-headed Dad monster before the power dies down and he has to wait for it to recharge. Once it does he engages in the power and punches at the monster until it needs to recharge.
When it does Nigel uses his levitation ball to escape from being crushed by them until it charges up. All while the Dad monster tried to stomp on Nigel or swing a knife at him. Nigel engages the power again and lays into the Two-Headed Dad Monster and looked like to get it on it's last legs before the power dies down. Nigel keeps rolling until the power engages and he englarges and delievers a final devastating punch.
The Two-headed Dad Monster dazed falls into the background and the background begins to swirl and swallow down into it. Seeing the ground moving but Luke and Nigel begin to run to avoid falling into it. They keep running and jump into the black void ahead.
The two find themselves now back in the black void where the two minds first connected, Luke was panting while Nigel was unconscious.
The boy suddenly came to and worried said "Ah! Ah! Bunearys! No! No meat! Ah!" He screams seeing Miss. Buneary staring at him
"Shhh. No more. No more meat. Look." Luke said and points and the two see Miss. Buneary going over to the field where Kid Sarge was
"There you go." Kid Sarge said happily "Goood little Buneary. Ha ha!" Miss. Buneary jumps into his arms and he hugs her. Kid Sarge looks at Nigel and Luke and said happily "Hey, thanks for helping me save the Bunearys. And for talking to my dad."
"Uh, no problem, little Sarge." Nigel said to that a little confused
"Bye! Bye!" Kid Sarge said as the field begins to move away "Wave goodbye Miss. Buneary!"
"Where's he going?" Nigel asked Luke.
"We're separating the brains now Nigel." Luke explained and stands up "He'll be fine. Let's go inside."
"Man, I can't wait to tell you about all the messed up stuff that happened." Nigel said standing up as they go to enter the circus car.
"Oh, I know a lot of it." Luke tells him and adds "While you were out I…poked around a bit. Tell me about this Rachel person."
"Hey!" Nigel said to that as they enter the circus car.
We then come to a few days later at the end of camp. All the campers were right back where we started at the campfire pit where Sarge was explaining how now he was no longer evil and free from all the negative emotions that consumed him.
"And so, that brings us to the end." Sarge said to the campers and points to the projections on the wooden screen "Where, as you can clearly see, the personal demons causing my negative behaviour have all been eradicated, leaving me sane once again. This is also corroborated in CAT scan number three, page 59 of your handouts."
"On a personal note, I would just like to reiterate how extremely, extremely sorry I am for stealing all of your brains, and trying to take over the world." Sarge added in his closing notes "Mistakes have been made. But this camp is all about education, and I know I, for one, learned plenty. Thanks to that guy there." He makes a smiling look and points to Nigel "Come on up here, Nigel!"
Nigel walks up onto the stage while the other campers as well as the Psychonauts clap for him. Once on stage Raine walks up, they were still wearing the Psytanium so they were still themselves.
"We endeavour to build strong minds here, with the power to lift things, to see things, to burn things." Raine states Nelson smirks at the burn things which makes some sitting near him to move away "But it's a special quality of your heart, not your mind, that truly makes a great Psychonaut." They turn to the campers and tells them "This young man has it. We did not give it to him. He got it from someone else, long before he came here."
Raine motions to Luke who was standing in the back and all the campers look over to see him. Upon seeing him Nelson sheds a tear at that moved by it.
"But we CAN give him this, to honor his mind, his courage, and his heart." Raine said and gets from Wiz a uniform similar to the one they wear and turns to Nigel "Son, we do not normally ask this of someone so young, but it is obvious to us all that you are not average. Will you join us, Nigel Uno? Will you be…a Psychonaut?" Raine hands the uniform to Nigel who takes it and the campers all gasp in shock at this, DJ even faints from hearing that.
Nigel looks at the uniform and nods to this. We then see him making his victory pose dressed in theuniform which included black boot, and pants and a red and white long sleeved shirt with the Psychonaut's emblem on the back, he also got some sleek new shades.
We then come to the camp parking lot where a bus has arrived to pick up the campers.
"Okay, let's be perfectly clear about this." Rachel said walking with Nigel "That was the best summer of my whole entire life."
"Hey! The summer's not over yet!" Nigel told her "We can hang out for a couple of weeks still."
"My family's out on the East Coast. Where's yours?" Rachel asked stopping.
"They move around a lot." Nigel admits.
"Hm…" Rachel said looking down "Well, you'd better go. Your dad's waiting for you."
Nigel looks and sees Luke waving. He smiles and then turns to Rachel and said "Um, well…"
"Bye." Rachel said sadly and walks away.
Nigel then grabs her arm and pulls her into a kiss. The two break it and smile but then Rachel gets sad and runs but doesn't get far as Wiz, Falicia and Raine float down to her looking concerned.
"Children, it's an emergency." Wiz said as Nigel walks up to join them "There's been another kidnapping!"
"I was here the whole time. You saw me." Sarge called out standing by his Warthog.
"No, this time we know who it is, and that's what scares us." Wiz states.
"Who was kidnapped?" Nigel asked.
"Mister Mckenzie, the Grand Head of the Psychonauts." Falicia said sadly.
"Dad?" Rachel said worried.
"Sir, can you teleport this many of us back to headquarters?" Wiz asked Raine.
However the power of the Psytanium runs out and Raine reverts to one of their many personalities saying "Huh? What? Hey, what are you people doing in my kitchen? Not git!"
"Huh, I guess this means we're taking the jet." Sarge said walking up shrugging.
Soon a large black sleek jet flies out from the forest being powered by Psynatium and lands on the parking lot for the passengers to get on board.
"Don't worry about your dad darling. We'll get him back." Falicia said to Rachel.
"Yes, after all, we'll have Nigel helping us." Wiz said smiling
"I'm going?" Nigel asked surprised.
"Now how can we do this without our anti-kidnapping specialist?" Wiz asked him.
Nigel thinks about it and goes to Luke but before he can say anything, his father speaks first saying "I taught you everything I can, Son. Now you go show them. Show them all." He smiles at his son.
Nigel smiles getting his father's approval and turns to the team and said "Let's go."
The team consisting of Nigel, Rachel, Wiz, Falica and Sarge all float up and enter the jet and once ready it flies off into the sky as it does the familiar laugh of Dr. Nefarious is heard, proving the mad robot scientist dentist will return.

And there we go, done and dusted. Hope you liked it. I am aware of the secret scene but didn't feel it added much so I replaced it with having Nefarious laugh as a hint to Rhombus of Ruin. Hope you like that touch.
