Once again, I only own my OC. I don't own the Vampire Diaries or any other thing or reference I will use in this story.

Chapter 3 - Friday Night Bites

~Harmony's P.O.V. ~

I woke up today and put on a dark blue dress that had a white flora pattern and that stopped mid-thigh. For shoes, I decided to put on a pair of white wedge-sandals, and a dark blue headband to hold back my wavy hair. After putting on light makeup (as always), I grabbed my flute and went downstairs to grab my lunch and make myself a breakfast shake before heading out for school.

At school, in Mr. Tanner's class, my sister was talking to her boyfriend. They were so obvious, and loud enough for Mr. Tanner to hear them while he was talking.

"World War 2 ended in... Anyone got anything?" Mr. Tanner asked around the room, "Miss Juan?"

I raised my hand and waited for Tanner to pick me. When he did, I answered, "1945."

"Correct, Ms. Gilbert. However, let the rest of the class participate also," Mr. Tanner said.

"Pearl Harbor?" Mr. Tanner continued, "Ms. Gilbert? Pearl Harbor?"

"Oh," Elena said.

"December 7th, 1941," Stefan and I answered at the same time.

"Thank you, Ms. Gilbert," Mr. Tanner said sarcastically making the students laugh.

"Anytime," Stefan said.

"Very well. The fall of the Berlin Wall," Mr. Tanner said.

"1989," I whispered as Stefan answered, "I'm good with dates sir."

"Are you? How good? Because Miss Harmony Gilbert is also a history genius," Mr. Tanner said, "Keep it to the year you two."

We both nodded.

"Civil Rights Act?" Tanner said.

"1964," both of us said.

"John F. Kennedy Assassination?" He continued.

"1963," we said.

"Martin Luther King?" Tanner continued.

"'68," we said.

"Lincoln?" Tanner said starting to get frustrated that he had another student who can answer his questions easily.

"1865," we said.

"Roe v. Wade?" Mr. Tanner said.

"1973," we said.

"Brown v. Board?" Mr. Tanner said.

"1954," we said.

"The Battle of Gettysburg?" Mr. Tanner said walking up to Stefan.

"1863," we said.

"Korean War?" Mr. Tanner said.

"1950 to 1953," we said.

"Ha! It ended in '52," Mr. Tanner said as he went back to his desk.

"Actually sir, it was '53," Stefan said making Mr. Tanner look at me and I nodded in agreement.

"Look it up, somebody. Quickly," Mr. Tanner said to the rest of the class that was watching us go back and forth.

A student answered.

"It was 19... 53," the guy said.

The whole class applauded both of us, as Mr. Tanner was glaring at Stefan and me.

'Great,' I thought.

~ After School ~

~ No One's P.O.V. ~

Elena arrived at cheer practice and told Bonnie she was coming to dinner tonight with her, Harmony, and Stefan. Bonnie tried changing the subject but after some convincing that Harmony will make her famous pasta, Bonnie agreed. Caroline soon showed up with Stefan's brother, Damon. Then during practice, Caroline had Elena watch the practice because she was falling behind. Elena ended up watching Stefan try out for the football team.

At home, Stefan and Damon talked. Damon soon left because he had a date with Caroline Forbes, though Stefan didn't know that until later on.

And at the Gilbert House, Harmony changed into a pair of black leggings and a white blouse and was making her famous pasta, for the dinner.

~ Later that Night ~

~ Harmony's P.O.V. ~

I had just finished making my famous pasta, as Elena was getting the serving bowls out and Bonnie setting the table.

"You explain it," Bonnie said, "Last night I was watching 'Nine-O', a commercial breaks come on, and I'm like, 'I bet it's that phone commercial!' And sure enough, It's that guy and the girl with the bench, he flies to Paris and he flies back. They take a picture."

"Oh, come on. That commercial's on a constant loop," Elena said.

"Fine. Well, how about this? Today, I'm obsessed with numbers. Three numbers. I keep seeing 8, 14, and 22," Bonnie said, "How weird is that?"

"Maybe we should play the lottery?" Elena said.

"Elena," I called my sister so she can stop making fun. I was separating some food for Jeremy and Jenna, "If Bonnie is worried about something we should at least listen without criticizing."

"Have you talked to your Grams?" I asked Bonnie.

"She's just gonna say it's because I'm a witch," Bonnie said, "I don't want to be a witch. Do you want to be a witch?"

"I don't want to be a witch," Elena said.

"I would," I said catching their attention, "What it would be cool to do magic."

We all smile at each other before Elena was wondering where the serving spoons were at. I was about to let her know where I put them when Bonnie answered.

"Middle drawer on your left," Bonnie said.

Elena looked at her for a moment before opening the drawer to find the serving spoons.

"Okay. So, you've been in this kitchen like a thousand times," Elena said trying to justify how Bonnie knew where the spoons were.

"Yeah, that's it," Bonnie agreed.

Just then the doorbell rang, and Elena went to go answer it. During the dinner, it was so tense you can cut the tension with a knife. It wasn't until Elena brought up Bonnie's family. About how they come from Salem Witches, that Bonnie warmed up to Stefan.

"By the way, Harmony. This is really good pasta," Stefan said smiling at me.

"Thank you," I said just as someone rand the doorbell.

"I wonder who can that be," Elena said heading for the door.

It ended up being Caroline and Damon, who brought dessert. I served drinks for everyone as we all sat in the living room.

"I can't believe that Mr. Tanner let you on the team. Tyler must be seething. But good for you. Go for it," Caroline said.

"That's what I always tell him. You have to engage. You can't just sit there and wait for life to come to you. You have to go get it," Damon said.

I knew he was lying, but decided to stay quiet.

"Yeah, Elena wasn't so lucky today," Caroline said, "It's only because you missed summer camp. God, I don't know how you're ever going to learn the routines."

"I'll work with her. She'll get it," Bonnie said trying to stop her friend from saying something stupid.

"Guess we could put her in the back," Caroline said.

Damon looked at me and said, "Are you a cheerleader?"

I was about to answer when I got to see what Caroline Forbes really thinks of me.

"Ha! Harmony Gilbert, a cheerleader! Please, she would rather be alone all the time or fit in the marching band with her always practicing her instruments. She's not cheerleading material. Plus, she's not as fun. She has always been a goodie-two-shoes, and her asthma won't help us at all in competitions. Elena is just in a blah phase right now. It's only because their parents died. She used to be way more fun... I say that with complete sensitivity," Caroline said.

I stood up quickly, feeling my eyes water at her words and began to walk to the stairs.

"Where are you going?" Elena asked me.

"To my room. I guess I have to fit in the image the 'Perfect' Caroline Forbes has of me. It's nice to finally see that we were never friends. Good riddance too. I wouldn't want to be a friend to a person who has to make everyone around her feel bad to make herself feel better. I feel bad for you Damon. Because the succubus sitting on your lap will suck out your joy in an instant. I don't know why Bonnie and Elena even bother with her," I said as I turned to the group before narrowing my gaze to the blonde bimbo, "And I say that with complete sensitivity."

I ran up to my room and locked the door before sliding down to the floor. I pulled my knees up to my chest and cried. After a while, I could hear everyone starting the leave the house and sighed in relief.

'God, I hate crying,' I thought to myself as I grabbed my inhaler and breathed in my medicine.

There was a noise coming from my door, and when I turned to look I saw a note being sent from the bottom of my door. When I grabbed it, I read what it said.

"I'm sorry about what was said tonight. I hope you are okay," the note said. It was from Damon.

I don't know why, but I felt a smile appear on my face as I held the note in my hand. I changed into my pajamas and went to sleep, not realizing there was a crow at my window.

~ The Night of the Game ~

~ Harmony's P.O.V. ~

I was in a red vintage dress with a sweetheart neckline with a white sash that is tight from the back, red one-inch heels, a necklace that has a small red heart, and red heart-shaped stud earrings. My hair was curled and held half up by a red rose hair clip. I was also wearing a white cardigan, for the slightly chilly air.

It was tradition to have a bonfire before the first game, so we all huddled to Mr. Tanner, who was giving a speech.

"Wait wait wait! Wait. Let's be honest here. In the past, we used to let other teams come into our town and roll right over us!" Mr. Tanner said making students boo for a moment, "But that is about to change. We've got some great new talent starting tonight on the offensive line, and I'm gonna tell you right now. It has been a long time since I have seen a kid like this. With hands like these. Let's give it up for Mr. Salvatore!"

"This blows," Tyler told Matt, He can't start the guy, he just got here."

Tyler left angry, not knowing Stefan heard the whole thing.

"...We have one this to say to you. We Timberwolves are hungry," Mr. Tanner said making the crowd cheer.

Meanwhile, Tyler saw Jeremy and walked up to him. It was at that moment, that Harmony felt a pain in her gut that something was going to happen. She turned and saw Tyler walking up to Jeremy and began to hurry over to stop the fight that she was sure was going to happen. She was close enough to hear Tyler mock Jeremy's feelings for Vicki.

"Don't look so down. You can have her when I'm done," Tyler said making Jeremy snap and punch Tyler.

I ran faster to get to them, especially when Tyler hit back.

"Tyler stop it!" Vicki yelled.

The crowd of students turned to the sudden sound of yelling.

"Tyler! Tyler stop!" I yelled at him as I tried to get him off my twin.

Only, it didn't work and Tyler unknowingly punches me in the face. The impact sending me to hit my head on the truck hard, knocking me out. Seeing this, Jeremy continues to fight Tyler angrier than ever for hurting his sister. Stefan comes to stop the fight, and when Tyler punches him it had no effect on him. Jeremy reaches for broken glass.

"Jeremy no!" Elena yelled.

Stefan pushed Tyler out of the way and Jeremy accidentally cut his hand. During that time, Tyler realized what he did to Harmony who was still unconscious. Matt came and took Tyler away as Jeremy ran to his twin sister.

"Harmony! Harmony wake up!" Jeremy yelled as he knelt next to his sister, "Someone help!"

~ No One's P.O.V. ~

Well, the night went. Damon killed Tanner. Matt found Mr. Tanner dead. He died by a supposed "animal" attack. Vicki tells Jeremy that it wasn't just for the drugs that she slept with him. And Bonnie realized that the numbers she kept seeing were about the death site of Mr. Tanner.

And Harmony Gilbert was sent to the hospital, where her family was told that she would be fine. That she just has a concussion and bruising. Nothing fatal. She should be fine in about a day or two.
