I also am sorry for not letting you know how much the Lockwoods gave Harmony for playing at their party. Since they're one of the richest Founding Families I thought $1000 would be easy to give.

Chapter 5 - You're Undead to Me

~ Harmony's P.O.V. ~

I was downstairs making pancakes, eggs, and bacon for breakfast. I was making extra today because I saw Vicki Donovan enter our bathroom. Was it weird to have my 14-year-old twin hook up with someone who is an 18-year-old druggie and my best friend's big sister? Definitely. However, even with all her faults, I know Vicki cares for her brother, and I know Matty loves his sister no matter what. It also appears she cares for Jeremy also. I won't stop them from being together, but I will let Matty know as soon as I see him today. I was finishing plating the food when Elena came down the stairs.

"Jenna, are you aware of what's happening upstairs?" Elena whispered.

"We both know," I told her rolling my eyes, "I may not like it, but I feel that as long as Vicki doesn't hurt Jeremy and treats him right then I can stomach it. For him."

"He could be craftier about it," Aunt Jenna said, "At least make an effort to sink her in and out... Oh and uh... Just so you two know, I won't be home for dinner."

"Oh, you're actually gonna do it," Elena said, "You're actually going to go out with Logan."

"I still think you can do better than a person who already cheated on you once, Aunt Jenna," I told my aunt, "But you're a big girl and can make her own choices. So... have fun."

Aunt Jenna smiled at me, as I grabbed two plates of breakfast.

"Don't forget to at least pack your lunch before you do anything else, Aunt Jenna. I am going to give breakfast to two upstairs," I said as I balanced the two plates and two cups of orange juice on a tray I found and walked to Jeremy's room.

When I got to his door, I knocked before calling out, "Jeremy! Vicki! I made breakfast. I'll leave it outside the door!"

I then rushed to my room to change into a green off the shoulder long sleeve shirt, with blue jeans, a black belt, and black ankle boots.

~ Jeremy's P.O.V. ~

Vicki and I stopped kissing to the sound of Harmony telling us she left breakfast for us. I slowly sat up and Vicki moved off me so I can get our breakfast.

"Your twin is nice. I like her," Vicki said.

"Yeah, she's the best," I said with a smile before sighing, "I feel like she is taking care of us. Like she is trying to grow up so fast, but I guess that's my fault. I hardly talk to her, ever since our parents died."

"Well, I like her more than Elena," Vicki said, "Harmony doesn't have to do the things you tell me she does. She doesn't judge me which is a nice change from the rest of the town."

I smiled at my crush.

"Well, this food isn't going to eat itself," I said.

We both dug into breakfast.

~ At School ~

~ Harmony's P.O.V. ~

When I made it to school, it took some convincing, and when I say convincing I mean begging and a lot of I'm sorry from Caroline to get me to join the "sexy suds car wash." I can't believe I agreed. Let alone accepted her apology, but I can't have negativity in my heart. I don't really have a sexy bikini. Oh well. I can figure something out.

~ School Ended ~

I quickly went home right after school and went to my closet. Looking through my closet I found two pairs of bathing suits. A pink one-piece and a tankini (lilac halter top with black shorts). I decided on the tankini. I curled my hair before tying it in a high ponytail, put on sunscreen, and packed a bag of clothes with the sunblock in a bag. When that was done, I went downstairs to quickly make food for my family and me to eat later. I also packed water bottles and snacks in my bag before heading out for the car wash.

At the car wash, I saw Stefan and he asked me where Elena was when I saw her at the money box with Caroline. We quickly walked up to Caroline who was talking to Elena about the rules in the car wash.

"No friend discounts, no freebies, no pay ya laters. We are not running a charity here," Caroline told Elena.

"No we are not," Elena said as Stefan and I walked up to them.

"Hi," Stefan said catching Elena's attention.

"Hey," Elena said getting up and hugging him.

"Um, the event is called sexy suds, you know," Caroline said with a smirk as she wrapped her arm around me.

Caroline and I walked away from the couple and Caroline complimented on what I was wearing.

"At least you paid attention," She said, "Like the outfit. For a moment, I thought you were going to put that one-piece monstrosity."

"Thank you, I think," I said before looking around, "Where do you want me?"

"You can help Matt and Bonnie," She said before walking away from me.

I walked up to Matt and Bonnie. Noticing Matt was focused on Elena and Stefan made me speak out to get his attention.

"UH-Uh. No," I said gaining both Bonnie and Matt's attention, "None of that tortured pining stuff."

"I'm just observing," Matt said with a small smirk to us.

"Mmhm," Bonnie and I said.

"Oh, Tiki! This one's yours," Bonnie said.

"Why do I always get the homely ones?" Tiki said making my eyebrows go up, "Just to be clear. Your car is a P.O.S. I mean we could wash it, but it's still a P.O.S."

"Tiki!" I said.

"You don't have to be rude," Bonnie said.

"Rude is uglying up the road with that junker," Tiki continued on to say.

The guy threw his keys in his car and walked away. Tiki bent down to the bucket of soapy water when it exploded all over her. Matt was laughing as he passed her a towel.

"Wet and Wild, Tiki!" Matt said.

I noticed a satisfied look on Bonnie's face and was puzzled a bit. Did Bonnie do that?

The day went on and from the corner of my eye, I saw Caroline walking away from the event. Which is very weird since she was the one to start this car wash, to begin with. So, I excused myself from Bonnie and Matt and secretly followed Caroline. We somehow ended up at a huge mansion. I waited for a few steps away from her to see exactly what she was doing. When she entered the house, I was about to follow when I was grabbed from behind. I was scared of who it could be until I was turned. I exhaled in relief seeing that it was Zack Salvatore. I was at the Salvator House.

"What are you doing here?" He asked me.

"I was at the car wash event at school when I noticed my friend who orchestrated the event was leaving without telling anyone so I followed her here," I said honestly, "I don't know why she is here though."

I saw how Mr. Salvator's eyes widened in fear before rushing inside. I ran after him. We ran to the basement of the house, and I heard Mr. Salvator scream.

"No! No!" Mr. Salvator pushed Caroline out of the way of a cellar door and was trying to close it again.

"Go! Run!" He yelled.

In fear, Caroline ran and didn't even notice me as she passed me. I couldn't just leave without helping, even if I didn't know what was happening or who or what was locked up. I ran down the stairs and was helping Mr. Salvator push the door. He briefly looked at me shocked.

"What are you still doing here?! You need to go now!" Mr. Salvator said to me.

"You need help! I can't just leave you with whatever you have in here!" I said using as much of my strength and body weight on the door, but it was still opening slowly.

I could feel my heart pumping with adrenaline, and I prayed that I won't get an asthma attack at that moment. Suddenly, the door opened wide and Mr. Salvator was kicked to the ground and had his neck snapped. Before I could even react to that, I was thrown to the wall with a hard bang before falling to the floor by Mr. Salvator. I managed to catch a glimpse of a man running up the stairs to get Caroline. I couldn't really worry about Caroline right now though. The pain I was feeling was agonizing, and it was getting harder to breathe. It was then, that I noticed, that I forgot my inhaler in my bag that was still at the car wash. Looking over to my left, I saw Mr. Salvator's body.

Crawling over to his body, I saw his neck in an unnatural position. I don't know what I was going to do, but I knew that I had to save him. Reaching over, I placed my hands on his head and chest and just prayed to have him be alright. A bright light was surrounding her palms and around the body.

I could feel myself getting weaker. My vision getting burly, and my breathing shallow almost non-existent. I was fighting to stay awake, so I didn't see Mr. Salvator's neck go back into place. Nor did I see his chest moving up and down. My body fell to the ground and I was to focused on trying to breathe in this dusty basement. I didn't see him wake up and look around before seeing me next to him.

~ Zack's P.O.V. ~

"Oh, My God!" I said looking at the barely conscious girl next to me.

I didn't know how long I was out. So, I went to check her pulse and was relieved to find a pulse. Even if it was very faint, and her breathing was worrying me. I knew, just like the whole town, that Harmony Gilbert had asthma. It was then, that Stefan came in.

"Zack!" Stefan said before noticing the young girl next to me, "Harmony?! What happened?"

"Damon," I began to say as I was calling for an ambulance, "He managed to use a girl to open the door. I only know this because of this girl. She was following her friend. She didn't listen to me when I told her to run, and Damon opened the door. I think the other one is okay, but I'm not sure about her... I think Damon killed me."

Stefan looked at me weird. Just then someone finally answered the call.

"Yes, I need an ambulance at the Salvator Boarding House," I said as strongly as I can, "There was an accident and my nephew's friend fell down the stairs. She's in really bad shape... Who's the person? It's Harmony Gilbert. Please hurry."

After I hanged up, Stefan brought Harmony's body in his arms.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"I'm helping her," Stefan told me before he turned Harmony so her back was to his chest. He then began to talk to her. "Harmony, if you can hear me, I need you to breathe with me. Take deep breaths."

I don't know how long we waited, but the ambulance finally came and took Harmony to the hospital.

God, I hope she'll pull through.

I followed Stefan and saw him pull out a stake and I knew that this was the last straw. He was ready to kill Damon. As he ran to the door, he stopped and I walked closer to see what was happening.

One sentence was said and my blood ran cold.

"What are you?" The voice of Elena Gilbert said.
