Chapter 16 - Let the Right One In
~ Anna's P.O.V. ~
My mother had just arrived and I went up to her.
"Mom, hey," I said smiling.
"Did you get everything?" My mother said.
"Yeah. The blood bank was understaffed because of the rain. I was in and out," I told her.
"Who's that you were talking to?" My mother said glancing in Jeremy's direction.
"Friend from the library," I told her.
"Let's get home," My mother said.
We passed a man and a teenage boy. The man spoke up.
"Hey, you're not going out in that, are you?" The man told my mom, "The roads are dangerous. Roud 5 is flooded."
"We'll make do," my mother said.
We began to head to the door when a waitress came up to the two and said, "Mayor Lockwood. Your table is ready."
"Thank you," Mayor Lockwood said.
My mother turned around.
"Mayor Lockwood, is it?" My mother said, "I suppose it is treacherous outside. My name is Pearl. This is my daughter, Anna. We just moved here."
"Hi and welcome. Richard Lockwood. This is my son, Tyler. Please. Please join us," Mayor Lockwood said.
"It would be a pleasure," My mother said.
We followed the boys to their table. I decided to shoot some darts as my mother sat with Mayor Lockwood. His son was at the pool table. I glanced at Jeremy to see he was going to make his way to me. I stopped him and text him to stay where he was because we were a secret. He responded that he was bored, so I told him to suck it up. His reply shocked me a really wants to be turned into a vampire.
~ LATER THAT NIGHT ~
~ Harmony's P.O.V. ~
I had spent the day helping at the hospital and was on my way home when my phone rang. It was a text from Jeremy. Answering it, my heart broke when Jeremy told me that they found Vicki's body. I ran all the way to Matt's house. I knew he needed someone to lean on.
When I got there, he was hugging Elena and Caroline had a sad face looking away from the pair. I walked up to Matt quickly hugging him before walking up to Caroline and bringing her into a hug. It seemed that Caroline was the one to find Vicki's body. Anyone can be traumatized by that, so I knew she needed a hug too. Caroline hugged me tightly.
God. Why did this have to happen?
~ No One's P.O.V. ~
We know that Anna finds out that Jeremy was just trying to use her into turning him into a vampire so he can be with Vicki. Stefan was saved from being tortured by the tomb vampires, and Pearl found out that Anna was hanging out with Jeremy.
Sorry for the short chapter. But I had a hard time figuring out what to write for this chapter. So, I decided to make this really short. I will do my best in the next chapter. Promise.
