Rising Storms
A Harry Potter and Percy Jackson crossover
Chapter 51:
Percy
Nico took Percy back to camp after they had eaten a big lunch by the river. In the heart of Camp Half-Blood, a sense of urgency permeated the air as demigods of all ages gathered, their faces set with grim determination. The looming threat of Kronos and the titans had cast a shadow over the peaceful sanctuary, and now it was time to take action.
At the head of the assembly stood Percy Jackson, his gaze steely as he addressed the gathered demigods. "We can't sit back and wait for the titans to strike," he declared, his voice ringing out with conviction. "We have to defend our city and Olympus at all costs."
Nods of agreement rippled through the crowd as Percy's words stirred a sense of unity and purpose among them. They knew the risks of facing the titans head-on, but they also knew that they couldn't stand idly by while their homes were threatened.
With a sense of resolve, the demigods began to organize themselves, dividing into groups and assigning tasks. Some would fortify the city's defenses, reinforcing barriers and setting up lookout posts. Others would patrol the outskirts, keeping a vigilant watch for any signs of enemy activity.
As the preparations unfolded, tension crackled in the air, a palpable sense of anticipation mingled with fear. The demigods knew that they were facing a formidable foe, one that would stop at nothing to destroy them.
But they were also armed with courage, determination, and the knowledge that they fought not just for themselves, but for the safety of their loved ones and the future of their world.
With a final rallying cry from Percy, the demigods set out to face the titans, their hearts filled with resolve and their spirits unyielding. Whatever challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, as warriors of Camp Half-Blood, defenders of Olympus, and champions of hope.
In the heart of New York City, demigods of Camp Half-Blood fanned out around the Empire State Building, their faces grim as they prepared for the imminent clash with Kronos and his army of titans. The streets were eerily quiet, tension hanging thick in the air as they set traps and fortified their positions.
Percy Jackson stood at the forefront of the demigods, his gaze scanning the horizon for any sign of movement. His heart pounded with anticipation, knowing that the fate of the city and Olympus itself hung in the balance.
Above them, the gods clashed with Typhoon, the sky crackling with lightning and thunder as the titanic battle raged on. Percy couldn't help but feel a pang of worry for his uncle, Hades, who was absent from the fray.
With a silent prayer, Percy reached out to Hades, beseeching him to lend aid to the demigods or the other gods in their time of need. He knew that Hades had his own realm to protect, but he also knew that his uncle had a vested interest in ensuring the safety of Olympus.
As the first rumblings of Kronos's army echoed through the streets, Percy's focus shifted back to the task at hand. With a determined nod to his friends, he drew his sword and joined them in battle, his bath in the river Styx rendering him impervious to harm.
The clash was fierce and chaotic, demigods and titans locked in a deadly dance of steel and sorcery. Percy fought with all his might, his movements fluid and precise as he struck down foe after foe.
But even as he fought, Percy couldn't shake the feeling of unease gnawing at him. He knew that the outcome of this battle would shape the future of their world, and he prayed that his uncle would heed his call for aid.
With a mighty roar, Percy redoubled his efforts, rallying his friends to stand firm against the tide of darkness. And as the battle raged on, he whispered a silent plea to his uncle, hoping against hope that help would come in their darkest hour.
Amidst the chaos of battle, Percy's gaze flickered upwards, and his heart soared with relief as he caught sight of Hades's black chariot streaking across the sky. His uncle had answered his silent plea for aid, and Percy couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude towards him.
But even as he watched Hades join the fray, Percy knew that their fight was far from over. He turned his thoughts to his father, Poseidon, praying fervently for his help in bolstering the other gods' defenses.
As the battle raged on, Percy's attention was suddenly drawn to a commotion nearby. He raced towards the source of the disturbance, his heart pounding in his chest as he spotted Annabeth lying on the ground, her face pale and drawn.
With a sense of urgency, Percy knelt beside her, his hands shaking as he assessed her injuries. She had been cut while protecting a younger demigod, someone whispered to Percy. The poison from the enemy's blade was already taking its toll, and Percy knew that they needed to act fast if they were to save her.
"Get her to the Empire State Building," Percy commanded, his voice firm with determination. "We'll find a way to help her there."
With the help of several other demigods, Percy carefully lifted Annabeth onto a makeshift stretcher, his heart heavy with worry for his friend. As they hurried towards the safety of the building, Percy sent up another silent prayer to his father, begging for his assistance in their time of need.
And just as they reached the sanctuary of the Empire State Building, Percy's prayers were answered. Poseidon himself descended from the heavens, his presence a beacon of hope amidst the darkness of battle.
Relief washed over Percy as he watched his father join the other gods in their fight against Kronos and his army. With Poseidon's aid, they stood a fighting chance against their formidable foe.
Taking a moment to catch his breath, Percy allowed himself a brief respite, his eyes never straying far from Annabeth's side. He knew that their battle was far from over, but with his friends and family by his side, he felt a glimmer of hope flicker in the darkness.
Percy walked into the lobby of the Empire State Building and looked around at the other demigods that were inside to rest or get healed. Annabeth was being seen to by Will, son of Apollo, and Nico was running around with towels and wash cloths that he had soaked and wrung out for those that needed them. As Percy stepped closer, he gave reassurances.
"Percy!" Nico cried out happily. He ran over after giving the last towel he had to another Apollo child to place under someone's head. He wrapped his skinny arms around Percy's waist. "I'm so happy that you are safe."
Percy hugged Nico back. "I'm glad that you are safe, Nico." He looked up to see the frown on Will's face. Percy smirked slightly, seeing Will's eyes narrow on him, and he turned Nico to his side and walked over to Will and Annabeth with one arm still around Nico. "How's Annabeth," he asked Will.
Will jerked, smoothing out his expression. "I got most of the poison out, however it's going to take a lot longer for her to recover."
Percy nodded. "Thanks, Will." He looked down at Nico who looked back and forth between Percy and Will in confusion. Percy laughed inside. "Have you enjoyed helping out Will and the others?"
"Yeah," Nico said, nodding happily. "It's nice feeling useful."
"You are always useful," Percy said.
As the battle raged on, the demigods fought valiantly against the relentless onslaught of the titans. Each clash of steel echoed through the streets of New York City, a cacophony of war cries and roars filling the air.
But amidst the chaos, a sudden flash of light illuminated the battlefield, drawing the attention of both demigods and titans alike. From the shimmering portal emerged a group of unexpected allies, their faces set in grim determination as they joined the fray.
Leading the charge was James Potter, his wand held aloft as he unleashed powerful spells upon the enemy. By his side fought his son, Harry Potter, his eyes blazing with determination as he wielded his wand with deadly precision.
Behind them, Sirius Black and Remus Black fought side by side, their movements fluid and coordinated as they struck down titan after titan. Little Regulus Black clung to his father's leg, his eyes wide with awe as he watched the battle unfold.
Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape, and the Weasley twins, Fred and George, added their own brand of magic to the fight, their spells weaving seamlessly with those of the demigods as they worked together to repel the enemy.
Percy didn't know who these new people were, but he was thankful for their help. He didn't even know what kind of people they were, since they were waving sticks around, but he smiled… turning back to his fight. But even as they fought, tragedy struck. Demigods fell in battle, their sacrifices not in vain but weighing heavy on the hearts of their comrades. Others disappeared without a trace, leaving behind only memories and unanswered questions.
Amidst the chaos, Percy Jackson's thoughts turned to Hestia, the gentle goddess who never took up arms in battle. With a sense of determination, he made his way to Olympus, seeking her blessing and guidance in their darkest hour.
As he stood before the hearth of the goddess, Percy felt a sense of peace wash over him. Hestia's warmth enveloped him, filling him with a renewed sense of hope and purpose.
A sound had Percy and Hestia looking over at the bridge to Olympus. Kronos and some of his army was coming across the bridge, beyond them... was the group of strangers that had come to help Percy and his friends. The enemy was now fully in Olympus, and they immediately started destroying everything in sight.
A boy with jet black hair hollered at Kronos, "Hey, Jerk! Stop destroying things that aren't yours!"
Kronos, in Luke's body, turned to look at the other boy. "Don't be silly, boy. This will be mine. I will rule again, and the gods will bow to me."
Percy watched as the stranger scoffed. "I knew someone like you. He also had delusions of grandeur, thinking he couldn't be defeated. I killed him." The boy seemed to be around Percy's age. But he'd killed someone?
Kronos smirked. "I'm not a pathetic human."
The boy shrugged. "Maybe not, but you're still going to be defeated."
"Son," said a tall man with the same messy hair, placing a hand on the teen's shoulder. "I think that is someone else's task."
The boy nodded. "I know, but that doesn't mean I can't help, dad." His dad smiled.
Percy looked around. Two men with a small child were standing near Hestia's other side, and a blonde teen stood next to a tall, dark, and brooding man. Percy looked back at Kronos just as the Titan lunged at him. He raised his sword and blocked Kronos's scythe.
As Percy faced off against Kronos, the titan's immense power seemed almost overwhelming. Each blow exchanged between them sent shockwaves rippling through the battlefield, the ground trembling beneath their feet.
But as the fight wore on, Percy began to feel the strain of the battle weighing heavily upon him. His breath came in ragged gasps, his muscles aching with exhaustion.
Just when it seemed like Percy might falter, Harry Potter leaped into the fray, his wand blazing with magic as he unleashed a barrage of spells against Kronos. For a brief moment, their combined efforts pushed back the titan's advance, giving Percy a momentary respite.
But Percy knew that he couldn't rely on Harry alone. With renewed determination, he retook control of the fight, his sword flashing in the sunlight as he pressed the attack.
And then, just as Kronos seemed poised to deliver a fatal blow, Annabeth appeared at Percy's side, her eyes blazing with determination as she thrust a familiar dagger into his hand.
The cursed dagger, forged from Luke's broken promise years before, seemed to pulse with dark energy as Percy hesitated, memories of their past struggles flooding his mind.
But as he looked into Luke's eyes, Percy saw a glimmer of the friend he had once known, buried beneath the darkness of Kronos's influence.
With a heavy heart, Percy made his decision. Handing the dagger back to Luke, he watched as his old friend's hand trembled with uncertainty.
And then, with a steely resolve, Luke drove the dagger into his own weak spot, his face contorted in pain as he sacrificed himself to defeat Kronos once and for all.
Percy felt a sense of bittersweet victory wash over him. Luke may have been lost, but in his sacrifice, he had redeemed himself, his actions ensuring the safety of their world for now.
Suddenly, Percy was looking into eyes much greener than his own. The boy before him placed a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry. Your friend returned to the right side at the end. No one's going to blame you for handing him the dagger." The boy blinked. "I'm sorry. I didn't introduce myself. I'm Harry," he said. He removed his hand from Percy's shoulder to hold it out.
Percy placed his own hand out and they shook hands. "I'm Percy." He smiled at Harry. "You look a lot like me, except your eyes are brighter."
Harry smiled. "Yeah," he said with a laugh. "I look more like my dad, but I got my eye color from my mom."
"You and your dad look like my dad." Percy looked around as the gods started arriving back in the throne room. "Hey, dad," he called out.
Harry stared at the giant figures in the room. 'What is with the giant people' was clearly written on his face and the rest of the strangers faces. "Um," Harry said.
Poseidon started walking over to them, shrinking with every step, and smiled at Percy. "Well done, son."
"What in Merlin's name?" Harry and the blond boy said at the same time.
"Draco," said the man in black.
"Harry," said Harry's father. The two men made faces, having spoken at the same time as well.
Poseidon looked over at the boy who looked like his son. "Who are you?"
Percy said, "Dad, this is Harry. He and his group helped us fight the titans."
Poseidon nodded. "Thank you for your help. I appreciate you helping my son, even if you don't know him." The god tilted his head, looking at the strangers. They were looking at him and the other gods in confusion... except for two men, who were smiling at Aphrodite. The goddess smiled and waved at the two. Poseidon asked Harry, "Do you not know about the Greek gods?"
Harry shook his head. "I'm sorry, but no."
Poseidon calmly explained to the strangers, and then looked at the two men who had smiled at Aphrodite. "You two don't look surprised."
"We aren't," Remus said. "All of us are wizards, but when Sirius and I got married, we found out that he was a natural carrier. His torture at the hands of his mother caused him to have trouble getting pregnant, so after a few years... we called upon a goddess to help us. Lady Aphrodite appeared and helped us have our son, Regulus." He smiled at his son, who was being held by Sirius. "He's four now."
"He's a demigod because of her help," Sirius added, looking up at the woman again. She smiled sadly at them, not able to speak due to the lump in her throat at seeing the baby for the first time.
"How can two guys get pregnant?" Annabeth asked from her seat on the floor.
Sirius smiled at her. "Some wizards are able to become pregnant, mostly those that have a strong creature lineage."
Out of the corner of his eye, Percy saw Will look at Nico and Nico look at Percy himself. Percy was steadily NOT looking at Apollo. Though it might be nice carrying Apollo's children, he was kind of glad that demigods didn't have that ability.
Zeus then thanked all of the demigods, satyrs, and wizards for stopping Kronos before he could destroy Olympus. He offered Percy a reward, for leading the battle, saying, "You could be a god, a lesser god."
Percy thought about it briefly, before he turned to look at Hades. Hades was standing in the shadows, away from the other gods. Turning back to Zeus, he said, "Thank you for the offer, but no." The gods were shocked. Percy continued. "Instead, how about you finally accept Uncle Hades and Aunt Hestia into the council and give them cabins at camp? Also, there's the fact that you have unjustly punished the lesser gods for their past behavior without giving them a chance to change. Maybe if you accepted them too, they wouldn't want to overthrow you. They need respect, and all demigod children should be claimed... because some of the demigods that joined Kronos are the unclaimed ones, thinking that they aren't loved." Percy glanced at all of the gods. "That's my request."
Zeus was angry at first, until Hestia placed a hand on his arm. "So, Perseus Jackson, you want the claiming of all demigod children, respect and acceptance of the lesser gods, Hades and Hestia on the council, and cabins for all the gods that don't have one?" Percy nodded solemnly. "What's next," Zeus asked harshly. "You want us to dissolve the oath?"
"Well, it didn't exactly work with you and dad," Percy said. He heard a few gods laugh, but his dad covered his face in embarrassment.
"Oh, great," said the wizard in black. "There's two of them!"
Draco laughed. "Get used to it, Uncle Sev."
Zeus glared at Percy slightly, before nodding. "Very well. Within a year, I will have these requests completed. I swear on the river Styx." Everyone looked at the King of the gods in shock.
Well, that's the end of the first part of the story. I hope you liked Harry and Percy's 'before' world. Now, their worlds have merged in a way. In the next chapter, chapter 1 of Part 2, I will explain the time difference a little bit. I hope you'll like the way I write their 'Act 2' world, and that I write Part 2 in a cohesive way. I already have Parts 2 & 3 completely plotted out! :D
