A/N: Thank you for all of the wonderful support! I really appreciate it. I would also like some reviews on how you like the story so far. Am I making things interesting enough? Constructive criticism, please... not destructive. :)
Also, if you somehow missed it, Polyamourous relations was requested. Harry is married to both Daphne and Susan, but that does not mean that Daphne and Susan will be intimately involved.
Rising Storms
A Harry Potter and Percy Jackson crossover
Part 2
Chapter 14:
Harry
Harry could tell that everyone but Hera was shocked at his suggestion. Hera, though, she was pissed. That made Harry's smirk widen. She probably thought that he was still mortal.
Percy put a hand on Harry's shoulder. "Harry, let's release her and call Zeus at the same time. I want my memories back, and I'm sure Jason wants his memories back. Then we'll figure out what to do to be able to defeat Gaea."
Harry glanced over at Percy and nodded with a sigh. "For the two of you, I'll set her free." He moved toward the cage to set the Queen of the gods free as he heard Percy calling out loud for Zeus to appear. A lightning strike appeared briefly, leaving the King of the gods in its place. At the same time, the lock fell off of the cage door. Harry stepped away.
"What is it, Perseus Jackson?" Zeus bellowed. "How dare you call me so demandingly?" He looked at the giant who was staring in shock at the two Olympians.
Hera stepped out of the cage, glaring at Harry. "How dare you suggest that you keep me in the cage to give back to Zeus?" She started to glow.
"Close your eyes!" Harry yelled to the demigods and satyr. He turned his head to make sure that they obeyed and saw Jason starting to look his way instead. "No!"
Hera showed Harry her true form, but when he turned to look at her, her face showed her shock when he didn't die. "What?" she asked.
Zeus stared in shock as his son died before his eyes. He turned to Hera and yelled at her in his fury. "How dare you kill my son?"
Harry walked over to Jason as Hera went back to normal, and stood over the spot where Jason died. He ignored Piper and Hazel's tears. "Jason, come back!" He ordered with power thrumming through the air around him.
Grover and the other demigods starred as Jason sat up, looking at Harry. Grover said in awe, "Thank the gods."
"You mean, 'Thank Harry'," Percy said, looking between Harry and Jason.
Harry sighed in relief. "Welcome back, Jason."
Jason was still pale, but he was slowly regaining color as he stood. "Thank you, Harry. How?"
Harry grinned and shrugged. "Hades offered me the position of the god of life and death. Thanatos seemed to agree. They are tired of doing all of the work, and would like some of the responsibilities off their shoulders. To be honest, I don't blame them, but I'm still a little conflicted."
"Thank you," Zeus said, walking over to Harry. "Thank you for bringing my son back." Hera was cowering slightly behind him, although she sometimes glared at Harry.
"Don't worry about it," Harry said, "I was just correcting someone's oversight. By the way, why aren't you switching back and forth between your Greek and Roman forms?" He asked curiously.
Zeus pulled Jason into a hug that surprised everyone and answered, "That's because almost everyone here thinks of me as Zeus."
Harry nodded. "Okay, that makes sense. So, can you please force her to give Percy and Jason their memories back?"
Zeus glared at Hera. "She will, or she'll be punished most severely."
Hera scowled and waved her hand. Four people clutched their heads: Jason, Piper, Leo, and Percy.
After a few minutes, Piper and Leo shouted at Hera. "You had us forget that we were best friends?" They were speaking at the same time.
Percy looked up at Zeus. "Can you please reopen Olympus for the other gods and goddesses, since we are returning Hera to you?"
Zeus nodded slowly. "I guess I can do that."
The giant that had been staring at them during all of this, and had closed his eyes when Hera showed her true form, started forward. "You puny people are interesting," he said. "Now it's time for me to kill you. I will enjoy that."
Harry sighed in frustration. How could he forget about the Giant? "Percy, hold out your sword."
"Okay," Percy said, just a little unsure about what Harry wanted.
Harry ran his hand over the blade, leaving behind a soft green glow. "There. Now, you can kill the giant."
"Hey, thanks, Harry!" Percy looked at the Giant with a grin.
"A demigod can't kill me alone!" the Giant laughed.
The Giant swung the club he had on his back, Percy rolled under the club, and Harry smirked. "I'm a god," Harry said, making the Giant freeze in place. The Giant looked at Harry in shock.
"Go to Tartarus," Percy said, stabbing the Giant with Riptide. The Giant stumbled backwards and fell, turning to dust a minute after he hit the ground.
Zeus grabbed Hera, nodded to Jason in goodbye, and then they were gone. Everyone let out a sigh of relief that the quest was complete, and Jason turned to Frank and Hazel. "Ready to head back to Camp Jupiter?"
"Yes," Frank said.
Harry watched Piper and Jason look at each other. It seemed that their relationship was now non-existent, since they had their memories back, but each of them were still wondering 'What ifs.' Harry shook his head sadly. It was sad that they now had to deal with the fake memories that Hera gave them and the real memories that were buried deep within. "Come on, I'll-" Harry started to say, but stopped when the earth shook. A large crack split the floor of the building, and they fell into a deep hole... screaming their shock to the world.
...
"We're still falling!" Leo yelled.
"We know," Piper yelled at him. "You don't have to say it."
"Guys! The ground is coming up," Harry said. "I can have us land softly. Just don't stiffen up. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for you. All of you."
As they were about to slam into the ground, they felt themselves slow down and land gently on their feet next to a river. "Thanks, Harry," Frank said, clapping a hand on Harry's shoulder.
"Yeah, thanks, Harry," said Piper and Hazel together.
Leo grinned at Harry in thanks before looking around. "Where are we?"
"I don't know," Percy replied, looking at the river. "What river is this?"
Jason scoffed. "Who cares what river this is? What's the plan for us to get back?"
"The plan," Harry said with a glare to the blond Roman. "The plan is to navigate through here to find and defeat Gaea. Then we will leave." He turned to Percy. "I think that when you told the Giant to 'go to Tartarus' he opened a pathway to Tartarus when he fell."
"Oh, gods!" Percy said.
Hazel looked closely at the river next to them. "I think this is the river Cocytus, the river of suffering. I read about the four rivers." She started to fall in when the glass-like sand shifted under her foot, but Harry grabbed her by the waist and pulled her away, before he fell in instead. "Harry!"
"He's a god; he'll survive." Jason's harsh words did not match the worried look on his face.
"But, if he loses hope, he could give up his immortality," Piper said. She bit her bottom lip.
Harry felt the water pulling him under. Each time he kicked to get up to the surface, the water would drag him back down as memories flowed through his mind's eye. As a young boy, speaking to his mom and grandparents' portraits for the first time.
"Hi, mama!" Four-year-old Harry waved at the portrait before him.
"Hey, baby." Lily wiped her eyes with a painted handkerchief.
"So, this is our grandson," said another person as two people stepped into Lily's portrait. He smiled at the young boy. "I'm your grandfather, Charlus, and this is your grandmother, Dorea."
"Hi, Gwamma and Gwampa," Harry replied.
Quirrell and the stone.
Harry found himself in the chamber where the mirror stood. He was tied up, and Quirrell was helping him sip at the very little water in the bowl.
"Just tell us how to get the stone and you'll live," Quirrell said, no longer stuttering.
Harry broke the surface of the river, trying to ignore the snide thoughts that maybe he wasn't good enough, or that his wives weren't happy with him.
"There he is!" Grover yelled. "Quick, Percy, grab him!"
Percy was closest to the river, so he was the obvious choice to reach out and grab Harry's hand. However, what Percy did end up doing surprised everyone including himself. The water rose up, lifting Harry up and over to the rest of the group. "Woah!" Percy said, staring at Harry.
Harry laid on the glassy ground, breathing heavily. He was relieved that he was out of the river and could no longer hear the voices of his past. Then he realized something! "Everyone exhale hard and hold!" He sat up, looking everyone over. They seemed to not notice that they were having trouble breathing. They looked at each other in confusion, and he said, "Do it!"
Percy shrugged and exhaled. When all of them had done it, Harry waved his hands and then said, "Okay, you can inhale now. I have placed bubbles of clean air around your noses and mouths."
Percy inhaled and sighed. He asked, "What was in the air? I hadn't realized that my throat was on fire until you did that."
"Sulfur," Harry replied. He looked around at their surroundings. "We need to go. I can sense monsters nearby. Don't worry, I'll protect you from the poisonous air." He grinned at the demigods.
Grover shuddered. "I can sense the monsters too." He skipped over to Harry's side, getting a chuckle and a pat on the shoulder.
