Chapter 8

Fifteen years later…

Ash was looking over his room balcony in deep thought, today was the day everyone else would find Sevestar, the day the traitors returned. He was planning on bringing justice, but he was still worried...aside from Galar, Unova, and Sinnoh he didn't get any information on the regions, outside of the traitors; Misty was a successful Water Gym Leader, Brock is an amazing doctor apparently, but he actually got in contact with Cynthia, and it turns out his family was threatened by Professor Oak to lose their Gym if he didn't, so while they still can't punish the others yet, Brock at least is back on their side, along with Dawn who had it ten times worse than Brock, as they had access to her bank account, Cynthia secretly changed it to a different account that her Porygon Z guards. As for the Professor himself, he actually died of an illness recently, and Tracey is the Professor now, somehow. May is now rival with Lisia in Hoenn Region contests. Cilan, their gym got taken down but they have the restaurant still. Clemont has also been successful with Gym battles and inventions. Ash's classmates now run the island trials, which the Tapus don't like but decide to deal with them. Gladion is currently Alola Champion, which irritates Ash and his friends.

Now for the friends, Max and Bonnie are very strong trainers in Sevestar's regular battles, contests, and showcases. Iris is still the Unova Champion, but with help from Ash and Cynthia, she has been considered the best champion Unova has ever had! Serena is the Showcase Queen, and she and Ash are very popular with everyone in the region, also, Ash and Serena got married. Chloe and Goh got married too, with Chloe being the Professor specializing in Pokémon and human relationships. Goh is now a teacher at RPA High, and he's caring but will get serious if something happens. Delia also focuses on her position as Queen and Principal of RPA High.

Now Lillie, she's trained to be able to use Eevee, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon, Glaceon, Leafeon, and Sylveon forms very well, the Sevestar Eeveelutions aren't accessible for her, which makes Ash's siblings minus Minami a bit sad she can't, but hey, giving Lillie more would be more types to cover, and Lillie barely handled the training last time. She mostly spends time in showcases and sometimes tries to help Ash with training for battles. Although she was kind of excited to see her parents after 10 whole years of not even being able to contact them...it's not like they never tried, they actually tried many times but they refused to pick up Ash's calls for some reason.

Ash had a lot of changes, for one, most of his Pokemon evolved, they aren't all fully evolved though, the main ones are Bulbasaur is an Ivysaur, Oshawott is a Dewott, Snivy is a Servine, and Palpitoad evolved and got arms. There are also some like Pignite, Corphish, Squirtle, Boldore, and others who chose not to evolve.

Aside from that, Ash and Serena did have twins, both are currently five-year-olds; Sarah and Chase. They love spending time with them, and they try to be respectful and have manners. Although Chase's favorite Pokémon owned by Ash is Infernape while Sarah's is Greninja. Lillie isn't really the fondest of the situation. Also, earlier the twins were one time told something that Ash said to them when Lillie was sleeping...but that's not important, not right now at least.

Despite this, Lillie is always trying to stay very patient with them. After all, they're just kids, they don't mean to hurt her. Besides, when they hurt her, they usually feel very bad about it.

"Mama? Why is Papa looking out in the distance sad?" Sarah asked her mother Serena in the morning.

"Oh sweetie, it's nothing...why don't you play with Lillie?" Serena offered, much to Lillie's dismay, "Sorry Lillie..."

"Come on Lillie, let's go play girl!" Sarah exclaimed as she picked Lillie up in her Eevee state and rushed to the playroom. Serena decided to walk up to Ash and give him a hug.

"Ash? Is everything alright honey?" Serena asked as she released the hug, "It's about the traitors again isn't it?"

"Yeah, it still hurts to this day..." Ash sighed, "Hopefully this tournament will help me get closure to it all.."

"We will, but for now we should get ready for the day, if you want we can go on a date night since there's a three-day grace period before the matchups." Serena offered, as Pikachu said he thought this was a good idea mostly as well.

"Alright, but first let's get ready for the day..." Ash stated, as 30 minutes later, they headed down for breakfast and Sarah and Chase seemed to cobble down on the pancakes, "So you two kids ready? There's going to be a lot of battles for you two to watch soon."

"Yeah!" Chase exclaimed, "Is Susanna's family still planning on staying with us for the tournament?"

"Yeah, Lucina, Goh, and Chloe are going to be with us for the tournament." Serena confirmed causing the kids to get excited, "Alright then, we'll head to the stadium in 10 minutes."

Lillie just at that moment, got downstairs, having 20 pink and blue bows on her. She seemed a bit annoyed.

"So, I'm not exactly thrilled about being demoted to Sarah's dress-up doll this morning." Lillie groaned in irritation.

"Sarah, how many times have we told you about putting bows on Lillie?" Ash sighed with a chuckle, as Sarah blushed a bit in slight embarrassment.

"To only do up to five, sorry, I forgot again..." Sarah sweat-dropped as everyone else, except Lillie, Pikachu, and Snowy laughed.

"Ha ha, very funny..." Lillie sarcastically laughed before whimpering, "Now can someone get these bows off of me please?" Ash decided to remove all of them minus the one on the top of her head because everyone thought it was cute.

"Anyways, me and Pikachu are going to be busy most of the day, so you won't see me until maybe 4 or 5 o'clock. Overall you do have a massive VIP apartment all to yourself everyone, 10+ bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, 5 bathrooms...wait Mom, how do you fit so much stuff in one apartment space?! ...Wait now that I think about it that's a pretty dumb question..."

"I was about to tell you how dumb that sounded Ash." Golly sighed.

"Yeah, anyways, there should be a drawing for a triple battle as a warm-up that won't eliminate anyone but is to hype things up. It says it's a random person versus you, Ash." Trenor pointed out, "Are you sure you're up for this?"

"He's more than sure, he's our brother and the champion!" Insey exclaimed, "He'll be fine!"

"Stop stating the obvious," Mark exclaimed, "we might want to go soon so we're not late!"

The group all got their things together and soon headed off for the Sevestar Stadium. Ash quickly got his family settled to the room, as Goh and his family approached them soon after.

"Susanna!" Chase exclaimed as he and his twin hugged their best friend, "How are you and your family doing? It's been a while."

"We're doing great." Susanna giggled, "We would have been here sooner but Mon had to have a call with Grandpa and uncle Parker, but it's fine. I heard your dad is going to be giving a speech during the opening ceremony. Also while Mom and Dad aren't participating in battles, they're going to be commentating which is cool!"

"Anyways, I better get going." Ash stated, as Pikachu hopped off his shoulder and decided to follow by walking for now, "Wish me luck, everyone!"

"Take care dear!" Serena gave Ash a kiss on the cheek, "Show them who the real champion is!"

"Thanks, but I'm not going to have it easy against Cynthia or Leon probably." Ash chuckled, "Anyways hope you enjoy the ceremony." Ash soon left the room for the ceremony…
