Hiccup arrive back in town a week before his senior year start at Berk High School.
No one knows except for his parents that he left after freshmen year over heart break and went to a different school in Bog City.
He part time raced on minor circut track becoming the youngest to win a two piston cup trophies.
He pulled up to his parent's house in his nineteen seventy charger.
His mom comes outside to see a loud engine running and shuts off.
He steps out of the car and hugs his mom.
Valka comments "hi, son. Welcome back."
Hiccup sighs "I needed a break from racing reporters.
Valka sighs "I heard about your ex. I'm sorry, son."
Hiccup shakes his head "a racing friend sent me picture of her at a resturant having her foot in the guy's junk getting him off. I was thinking of marrying her after high school."
Valka tells him "Astrid stop by once while you were gone."
Hiccup ask "what did she want?"
Valka smiles "it seems your cousin has been dating her just to get in her pants and treat her like crap."
Hiccup gets settle in.
Next day, he walks four houses down and knocks on the door.
Mrs. Hofferson open the door to see a boy and ask "can I help you?"
Hiccup smiles "you probably don't recognize me, Hiccup Haddock."
Ingrid hugs him "when did you get back?"
Hiccup answers "yesterday. My mom told me that Astrid been having problems with her boyfriend after I left for two years."
Ingrid sighs "yeah. Come in."
Hiccup sits on the couch.
Ingrid tells him "after you and Astrid stop being friends. Two years ago, Astrid eavesdrop on Snotlout gloating to his football buddies that he was trying to get in her pants and then gloat how good of a lay she was.
Astrid came home crying and wanting you back. She started watching your races on TV."
Hiccup smiles "I'll keep an eye on her in School."
Ingrid curious ask "what happened to your ex?"
Hiccup answers "she was cheating on me with a guy."
He left and walk back to his home.
At dinner time, Astrid was eating with her parents when her mom comments "daughter? A guest stop by while you were gone and it seems he knows your pain and will be keeping an eye on you in school."
Astrid ask "who?"
Ingrid smirks "Hiccup returned home."
Astrid grins happy.
Next day, Astrid walks over to Haddock house to see a nineteen seventies charger by the grarge with the hood up.
She walks over to see someone under the car and ask "so where did you get this classic ride at?"
The person grins "I got it from junk yard and refurbished it."
Astrid bends down to see a boy and says "are you Hiccup?"
Hiccup grins "hi, Astrid."
Astrid sighs "I been hanging in. I started realizing that I should have listen to you in freshman year when you told me about your cousin."
Hiccup finished empting the oil out of the engine.
He rolls out and gets up and says "Astrid, I said that to warn you. But I didn't want to prove to you he would be a bad choice to date. You have to see that for yourself. Just know that I'll be there to comfort you when you need me."
A car honked four doors down.
Astrid sighs "that's probably the jerk."
After a few minuties, a boy walks over "What the heck are you doing?!"
Astrid turned to see Snotlout buzzed from alcohol and says "I'm visiting an old friend for today."
Snotlout looks at the other boy who he can't recognize.
Hiccup sighs "Snotlout? Why are you driving while drunk?"
Snotlout scowls "because I can and who the fuck do you think your doing with my girlfriend?"
Hiccup laughs "she came over here. I'm in the middle of changing oil in my car."
Snotlout plastered face says "babe, let's go and you can warm my bed before we go back to school next Monday."
Astrid shakes her head "no. For the last time, I'm not going to have sex with you!"
Snotlout laughs "you don't know what your missing. You can't avoid my charms for long."
Astrid kicks him in the groin "pig."
Snotlout leaves to go home.
Hiccup smirks "I could report drunk driver."
Astrid laughs at the smirk.
She ask "so what have you been doing for two years?"
Hiccup grins "school and racing."
Astrid gasped "your Fury?!"
Hiccup grins "guity as charge."
Astrid sighs "I stop being your friend to be popular in high school and I'm starting to regret it."
Hiccup comments "I would hug you but I got oil on my hands."
Astrid smiles and kisses his cheek "welcome back home."
Monday came morning came.
Astrid got ready for school.
Twenty minuties later, Snotlout pulled up and ran over the curb.
Astrid walks out to see him drunk and says "I'll take the bus because I don't want to die."
Snotlout grumbles "fine!"
He leaves blowing a stop sign at the end of her street.
Hiccup pulls out of his driveway and sees Astrid waiting for the bus to arrive and decides to give her a ride to school.
He walks over and ask "want a ride to school? I promise to not do anything but maybe admire your beauty."
Astrid laughs at his comment and gets in.
Hiccup comments "I won't charge you, but girls love a classic muscle cars."
Astrid ask "what would you charge for a ride?"
Hiccup grins "a girl's panties. For men, new package underwear."
Astrid smirks "if you get a hot ride, then maybe I'll give you one of my panties to hold."
Hiccup laughs "in college."
The drive to school was fun with jokes, flirting and stories.
They arrive at school.
Hiccup got out and walked over to help Astrid out making her blush.
Astrid smirks "students are going to talk about us."
Hiccup grins "if they recognize me from my car, then everyone would come up to me."
