The song starts, showing the end of Code Lyoko where the Supercomputer is shut down and the former Lyoko Warriors leave the factory seemingly for the last time.

A single computer is shown coming online, lines of 1s and 0s streaming across the screen before the screen is replaced by a glowing sphere with the Eye of XANA, at least eight variations appearing on it. From the sphere came lines of data emerging in eight different directions. The lines of data formed into various regions, all of them floating landscapes resembling a forest, a desert, an arctic, mountains, volcanoes, swamp and a jungle.
(Into this new world)
The new lands orbited the golden sphere as the camera zoomed in on the Eye of XANA staring at the screen.
(The game has only just begun)
The Eye then flashes red, and the sphere turns black.
(I can see it in your eyes)
A girl with pink hair sits on her bed, panting as she turns to see two pictures of her friends and her father. She smiles briefly but that smile turns to a look of horror as both her friends and her father are engulfed by a great darkness and the red Eye shines down on her. The Supercomputer, thought to be shut down, is reactivated and there is a flash of light.
(This is where tomorrow brings a new game)
Aelita is shown alone both in the real world and in Lyoko, hordes of monsters surrounding her.
Geoff is first shown in his human form before transitioning to his Lyoko form.
Next to him is Bridgette, holding her surfboard in the real world before changing into her Lyoko form, her board splitting into two swords.
(It's time to learn that pain is gain)
Gwen is shown sitting in front of tree, looking up and is instantly changed into her Lyoko Avatar, brandishing her scythe.
DJ is shown in the woods, tending to a little rabbit as he stands up and morphs into his Lyoko form, turning to face the camera with a stern glare.
LeShawna is last, ready to fight in both her human form and her Lyoko form.
(Ready fight!)
William and a dark reflection of himself as XANA's General are shown standing back-to-back, turning to face each other and swinging their swords.
The screen is split by the two swords, showing New Lyoko as the title appears:

Aelita is shown first, sitting at the computer before she is then shown as the DJ of a party. She morphs into her Lyoko form and conjures an energy field.
This was followed quickly by Geoff wildly waving his hat while riding something with Bridgette holding onto him by the back.

Gwen is shown next, drawing in her sketchbook and signifying with a sad face as Duncan, Courtney and Trent appear behind her, their backs facing in her direction.
(Until my life comes to an end)
DJ is shown running for his life from appears to be a giant bear.
(I am gonna fight to tear apart that destiny)
LeShawna is shown next, standing confidently with her team, ready to face whatever crazy challenge comes next.
(Aoh, break out and start a revolution)
The antagonists of Total Drama: Heather, Courtney, Justin, Anne Maria, Jo, Lightning, Scott and Alejandro in the Total Drama Machine are shown from left to right, grinning or glaring at the camera, holding up an imaginary case of the million- dollar prize money in their hands. Chris Mclean is shown next, arms crossed as the chair he is sitting in spins to meet the camera, zooming out to show it is the monitor room for the Total Drama show.
A dark shadow appears above them, scrawny in appearance and hair falling over the left eye as it glares darkly at the screen.

The camera then shows Aelita with the new Lyoko Warriors, the TD Lyoko Warriors and William sitting around a campfire, all of them staring up into the starry night sky, a picture of her friends and father resting in Aelita's hands.

Aelita in her Lyoko form with her wings sprouting from her back is shown, clutching Mr. Puck in her hands as she seemingly falls back, her friends and relatives in the background.
The camera moves down to show William kneeling down, clutching his sword in both hands. As this happens, the camera moves down, showing depictions of the TD Lyoko Warriors and other characters in the background.
The camera continues to move down to show Geoff pulling Bridgette into sharing a picture with LeShawna bringing her face up over Bridgette's shoulder, the three of them in their Lyoko forms. While this happens, Harold, Lindsay, Beth, Trent, Katie and Sadie are shown in the background.
Below them is Gwen with her arms and legs curled around her with her cape swirling behind her like wings while Heather and Courtney are shown in the background glaring at each other followed by Sierra clutching Cody who looks distressed, Eva crossing her arms along with B and Beth both waving, the latter looking very shy. Behind Gwen appeared Dawn in her own Lyoko form in a meditative pose while upside down while facing Gwen with her eyes closed, her light robe contrasting with Gwen's cape with dark clothing, almost forming a yin-yang symbol.
Behind Dawn appears Scott, snickering evilly.

DJ is shown last, seemingly falling back while holding his pet rabbit: Bunny in his hands with a happy smile. His teammates shown in the background starting with Duncan, Tyler, Justin and Alejandro ending with Chef Hatchet and Chris McClean.
He is followed by Mike and Zoey, both clutching their hands and smiling at each other as in background appears Brick, Jo, Lightning, Sam and Staci.
And lately Cameron appears staring up at the others.

The screen turns black and the Eye of XANA immediately flashes into existence, glowing red and shadowing the outline of a singular person with red glowing eyes.

Aelita is shown, standing in a meadow now with the wind gently blowing through her hair.

She holds up a hand, gazing sadly up as the images of her friends and parents appear in the sky.
(Into this new world)
Her hand then becomes digital, transitioning to Lyoko.

She gazes up a little longer before she notices her new friends and allies standing with her and smiles before looking forward, seeing a tower in the distance.

Just as they are about to rush towards the tower, the camera angles up into the digital sky as the song reaches its end.
The scene then shifts to pictures of Aelita and her friends both old and new on a desktop as the title appears on last time:

Episode 8: The Revenge of XANA
"Hurry it up." He remembered himself speaking, even if he hadn't meant to say those words.
In front of him, several scientists had surrounded a pyramid shaped construct, tools and computer boards scattered across the floor. The scientists said nothing, only carrying out their work with emotionless efficiency.
The Eye flashed where their normal human eyes would normally be.
He grinned as he saw their work was slowly coming together. When he first arrived, the lab had been abandoned but he was able to reactivate what had been inside briefly enough to gather the necessary manpower and equipment to begin upgrading the lab and supercomputer before him.
His creator, Hopper had been a fool to just leave this here.
Oh well.
Hopper's loss, his gain.
It had taken some time, but the results were very promising. A quantum supercomputer, an upgraded one compared to the older model back in the factory. Despite being immensely superior to most, more than likely all computer models populating the rest of the world, the Supercomputer back in the factory was still over a decade old.
He had a complete schematic of the original supercomputer and already knew how to upgrade this older model.
A new and improved supercomputer, superior to the ones that came before.
He grinned at the thought.
Still, he needed to be cautious as he couldn't allow his enemies or his creator to find out what was happening here until it was too late. Well, they were focused on finding a way of freeing his current vessel from his control but that was to be expected. So as along as they were distracted with that and destroying his Replikas, he had the element of surprise.
Once it was finished, he stepped forward and slowly turned the lever to 'On'.
The large white pyramid shaped computer seemingly came to life, luminous green lights streaming through the large computer that for the first time in a long time was alive with activity. On the smooth circular surface in front of the interface, a series of data screens appeared before projecting some sort of image before the computer.

XANADU ONLINE
It was dark and stormy now, rain falling at a heavy pace and lightning flashing across the sky. He knew it as he rushed to find cover in the dorms.
He needed to find a place to hide.
XANA was alive.
Somehow, William had known, even before the message had appeared that the evil AI was still out there somewhere but was dormant, asleep. William only wished that the monster would sleep forever but that was wishful thinking on his past. The dreams, the visions, they were during the time XANA had possessed him, making him into a puppet of sorts.
The visions of a strange supercomputer…
It had been what XANA had used to survive.
XANA had taken him to supervise the scientists from the base where the Jungle Replika was and used them to modify the strange supercomputer, upgrading and improving it until it was ready then the scientists had been sent back to the jungle base while William returned to fighting the gang back on Lyoko and the Replikas. He didn't know why or how he knew this, only that it was likely he beginning to remember now.
William opened the door to his room and immediately closed the door, falling onto his bed. "William you idiot, you should have known…"
Three weeks.
He had that nightmare three weeks ago.
That was when the computer had turned on and XANA had awakened.
"XANA…" William closed his eyes and clutched his head. "Why can't you just leave me alone?"
William had thought it was over.
Had wanted it to be over.
And now, with XANA's return the memories of what he had done as the AI's slave had come rushing back to him. He had tried so hard to put it all behind him but XANA's return had caused every dark memory to rise up from the dark corners of his mind where they had been locked away. He couldn't deal with it, facing those memories with XANA's message everywhere and the dark clouds above…literally XANA announcing to the entire world he was back.
It was too much.
Too much….
Too…much…
The snake like monster, labelled by the Supercomputer as a Kobra seemingly leered down at Ulrich as the samurai themed warrior took a step back. Aelita and Odd had their hands full with the monsters surrounding them and Yumi…
"Ulrich!" She shouted from above.
She angled the Overwing down and threw a fan at the Kobra that promptly twisted its formed, moving its head out of the way of Yumi's fan.
Ulrich took the chance and shot up; a yellow comet trail left in his wake as he landed on the Kobra's head. "Impa-GAH!"
Before he could stab his sword down on the XANA Eye, the Kobra's tail lashed up and knocked Ulrich off its head. He cried out as he skidded across the ground, his sword landing a few feet from him. The Kobra hissed as it slithered forward towards Ulrich but then lifted its head up to see Yumi flying at it again. It aimed and fired from its pointed nose, hitting the Overwing and devirtualizing it, leaving Yumi to fall and tumble along the ground until she was near Ulrich who managed to get back up.
He helped her up and the two backed away as the Kobra leered over them, ready to attack.
In the lab, watching the battle on the main computer, Jeremy couldn't believe what he was seeing. Aside from the obvious horror that XANA had somehow survived the multi-agent program that was meant to delete him, his monsters were more powerful than ever before. The Kankrelats, Bloks and Krabs had been modified, digitally enhanced into new, more powerful forms from what he could see while the Tarantulas had remained mostly the same, albeit with greater life points and fire power. That was not even taking into account the new monsters such as the snake like monster labelled the Kobra and the massive bird monster nicknamed the Terror Bird.
A new massive monster that could spawn other monsters…
Not even the Kolossus had shown such power.
Jeremy was starting to realize that this was looking more and more like a trap. XANA had returned, sent them a message letting them know he was alive and wanted them on Lyoko to show just how powerful he was now. The Lyoko Gang's enhanced weaponry had been reset back to their original forms and they were barely able to keep up with the new monsters.
And he was just sitting there, unable to help.
Unless…
"Everyone, I'm going to try and deploy the multi-agent system from before." Jeremy spoke into the headset. "It will at least clear the monsters away and allow you all a chance to reach the tower."
He accessed the program, the very one he had created to destroy XANA two years ago.

It was the scanner he made for detecting Replikas on the Digital Network.

In the facility of the Amazon Rainforest, lights came on and alarm sounds could be heard as the entire facility, especially the supercomputer reactivated.
Eight Replikas…
In New Mexico, the supercomputer reactivated and the Replica inside was recreated.
"I don't believe it!" Jeremy exclaimed.
"Jeremy, what's wrong?" Aelita's voice asked through the speaker.
"It's the Replikas, they are coming back online, and XANA has somehow managed to even repair all the supercomputers we destroyed before then!" Jeremy exclaimed. "All of them back and there's even some new ones!"
That meant XANA is even more powerful now than he has already shown.
Grunting, Jeremy activated the XANA-Destruction Program. "At the very least, we can clear the monsters away!"
He pressed the 'Enter' key.
From the core of Lyoko came spheres of white light that out of the core and traveled through the digital data-stream, seeking out all programming associated with XANA.
Jeremy watched with bated breath as the program reached the Desert Sector that would hopefully clear it of any and all monsters.
Then Jeremy noticed it.
A surge of power coming directly from the network.
The monsters all looked up as the orbs of light shot towards them, preparing to infect them by injecting a specialized virus into their programming that would lead back to their progenitor, intended by its creator to destroy or at very least weaken him.
That was when Lyoko began to shake.
"Jeremy, what's going on?" Aelita called out, trying to keep herself standing.
"Some kind of massive energy surge from the network. It's coming from the Replikas!"
From the digital came a pillar of red energy that shot up into the digital sky which then began to darken. The white glowing energy of the XANA-Destruction Program shot at the spiral of red energy but rather than disrupting it, the white light jerked back, away from the red energy and began to dim and then without warning, shattered.
"Impossible!"
"Jeremy, what's going on?" Yumi along with Ulrich stared up at the spiral of red energy.
"The multi-agent system…it collapsed…. I don't believe it!" Jeremy stuttered. "Some sort of anti-virus program kicked in at the exact moment it came into contact with the energy…Oh no."
"Jeremy, what happened?" Ulrich asked impatiently.
"XANA…XANA neutralized the XANA-Destruction Program!" Jeremy exclaimed.
That came as a natural shock to the Lyoko Warriors. The program meant to destroy their enemy had failed. Before any questions could be asked, the spiral of red energy dissipated, leaving a black orb resembling the transport orb from Sector 5 with a red Eye on it lowering down and opening in a flash of light to reveal several new figures. These creatures stood on two legs, were clad in black form fitting armour and dragon skull helmets. They carried a variety of weapons from swords to what looked like laser rifles.
Except for one.
It was more humanoid in appearance, wearing a semi-metallic torso suit of armor, black with red outlines and highlights and stretched up to its neck in a turtleneck like fashion. Its hands were covered in metallic gloves with red highlights along with the rest of the outfit. What stood about this new humanoid was the prominent black cloak it donned with short sleeves, flowing down to the shins while a popped-up collar flanked both sides of the neck. The second most noticeable trait was the face.
A face that resembled Aelita's.
However, it had male features that were angular in appearance with pale skin, black hair with red streaks all through it and glinting red eyes that stared at the surrounded Lyoko Warriors malevolently. Lastly, a red Eye of XANA was imprinted on the figure's chest.
It then spoke in a regular voice but was cold as hard steel. "Welcome back to Lyoko."
"Did that monster just talk?" Odd asked Ulrich.
"I think so." Ulrich's eyes narrowed.
"I speak through this new avatar to welcome you all back. Especially my dear sister Aelita. It has been so long; I felt that it would be a good idea to put together a special reunion." The humanoid grinned as its glinting red eyes fell on Aelita who took a step back, trembling now.
"X-X-XA-XANA!" Aelita gasped, unable to believe the sight before her.
She didn't know how she knew, only that she knew without a doubt that standing before her was the same digital enemy she thought she and her friends had defeated.
"In the flesh." XANA spread his arms out, glancing down at his new avatar thoughtfully. "So, to speak."
Yumi placed a hand on Aelita's shoulder, pulling her behind her.
"Yumi Ishiyama, Ulrich Stern, Odd Della Robbia." XANA spoke their names softly and then looked up into the darkened sky. "And of course, who can forget you, Jeremy Belpois?"
Jeremy stiffened when he heard his name being mentioned while he ran a scan on XANA's avatar.
XANA appeared satisfied from the surprised looks on the faces of his enemies. "It has been over two years, five months and ten days since that day. And yet, I see so little has changed in that time. Unfortunately for you, the same cannot be said for me or even for Lyoko as you have no doubt begun to suspect."
Ulrich glared, pointing his sword at XANA. "Maybe you took us by surprise, but we'll still stop you like we did before."
Suddenly Odd tried to fire at XANA, but one of the knights parried the two arrows aside with a broadsword.
"You speak with such confidence, Ulrich. That has always been one of your strongest traits, the ability to project confidence born of ignorance." XANA taunted. "Ah of course, you think our previous encounter was a victory...but that was not even I that you destroyed. I admit my father's plan would have worked... if he hadn't made me so damn good at what I do."
"What are you talking about?" Yumi glared, brandishing both fans.
"Did it really never occur to any of you, not even you Jeremy that I would not anticipate such a plan? To use a multi-agent system to destroy another multi-agent system? You believe yourselves to be so intelligent that you couldn't comprehend the idea that not only as a multi-agent system but as an artificial intelligence I would not recognize a threat to me? No, I knew what you had planned, and I even anticipated it long before you had even considered it." XANA spoke with satisfaction. "I knew from the moment when Jeremy created that program, he had designated as the Marabounta that he would eventually return to that idea when you all realized the number of Replikas I had created. I planned every step of what happened leading up to the last confrontation. The XANA that was destroyed was a copy. A powerful one that could have evolved as I do, but a copy none the less."
Jeremy paled as he listened to how XANA survived the program that should have destroyed him. Even if it had only been a copy, the program should have spread to every corner of the network. So how could creating a simple copy save him?
"As our battles continued, I realized that as long as my creator was alive, I would always be watching over my back for him, which is why I continued to try to toss Aelita into the Digital Sea, so he would come into the open to rescue her and allow me to dispatch him. But you kept on interfering, so I had to make an alternate plan. Remember your trip to the Siberian Base? It was there you discovered the key programs needed to release William from me and where you discovered the hundreds of supercomputers I controlled when I made my strongest creation, the one you had named the Kolossus." XANA continued. "At that point, Jeremy realized he needed to find a faster way to destroy all of my replicas to destroy me. And what did he come up with? A virus of his own to destroy me, a multi agent system that would spread all over the network and specifically wipe out anything that had to do with me. So, I left the network...I put myself into a computer and disguised myself as another program and waited as my copy did battle with you making you all believe I was making my last stand."
XANA could see the horror slowly beginning to dawn on their faces, especially Aelita's.
"I disconnected the supercomputer of course; I counted on your persistence being my copy's downfall. All I needed to do was let you have William's freedom restored and then you would use the program to destroy me...I applaud you all for the roles you played up to this point, but now I shall not allow myself to be a victim of such plans this time around." XANA finished, a satisfied smile appearing on his face.
"You tricked us!" Odd shouted.
"To win at chess, sometimes you have to give up a pawn." Ulrich growled. "Well damn, he really did have us."
"And he played us like puppets the whole way." Yumi added.
XANA grinned. "I did indeed."
Aelita nearly choked at the end of the explanation. All this time, she had believed her father had died saving the world but now the truth had appeared right in front of her, slapping her in the face not once but several times.
It had all been XANA's plan from the beginning and her father had died for nothing.
It was too much to handle.
Too much so that Aelita let out a scream and fired two energy fields right at XANA but the Dragon Knights flanking him easily parried her attacks.
"Super Sprint!" Ulrich shouted, dashing at XANA with his sword held tightly in both hands.
He dashed past the flanking monsters and swung his blade to cut XANA's head off. XANA, however, appeared to be just as fast as he leaned back, the sword missing the very tip of his nose by mere inches. Ulrich spun around in time to block a kick aimed at his torso, but the force of a single kick was still so great that Ulrich was knocked back.
"And I thank you all for playing along. Not only did I fake my death, but my father is now dead, his precious sacrifice in vain! Now, let me show you what I can do without the restrictions of my creator, Waldo Schaeffer!" XANA held out his hand and in a burst of smoke appeared an enormous, curved scimitar, the blade as red as blood and the Eye forming the cross guard.
Ulrich readied himself, as did the others.
"Super Sprint!" Ulrich was the first to shoot forward, his katana shining blue as it clashed with XANA's scimitar that glowed red.
Jeremy was paralyzed as he looked on helplessly, unable to believe what he had heard.
It had all been a trick.
A…
God…
Damn…
TRICK!
XANA had tricked them into thinking that Jeremy's program had destroyed him when all along it had been only a decoy they had wiped out. After everything they had been through, all they had sacrificed, he still managed to laugh in their faces one more time.
Franz, Aelita's father had died for nothing.
And Jeremy, he had fallen for it. XANA had shown him what he wanted to see, and he believed it because he had been so sure it would work. While they had been enjoying a normal life for the last two years, XANA had waited and plotted, changing everything about himself, his monsters and even Lyoko so that when he was finally ready to announce his return, it would be at a point none of them would be prepared to counter him.
This had all been a trap.
And Jeremy was left to watch as the others tried battling their way through the trap.
But could they?
The answer to Jeremy's unasked question began to look more and more bleak as the fight dragged on.
Ulrich slashed and stabbed, becoming a literal whirlwind of golden light but XANA was able to easily keep up, blocking easily and only with one hand holding his scimitar.
"Laser Arrow!" Odd shouted.
Five golden arrows were fired but with a mere wave from XANA's hand, a literal gust blew the arrows and even Yumi's arrows away.
"Energy Field!"
But not Aelita's Energy Field.
However, XANA simply summoned a red version of Aelita's Energy Field and fired, striking Aelita's own attack in mid-air, both attacks cancelling each other out. XANA then continued the at the moment one-on-one swordfight with Ulrich, easily blocking and deflecting the boy's sword before they even came close to striking him. As Ulrich tried Super Sprint, XANA surprised him by moving at a similar speed, leaving a red comet trail in his wake as he and Ulrich dashed across the Desert Sector. Both opponents slashed with such speed, their swords were only flashes of blue and red light.
Ulrich fought harder than he ever fought before, his sword a literal glowing blur as he swung and slashed it through the air.
CLANG!
CLANG!
CLANG!
And not once did he ever land a hit.
XANA was just as fast, just as strong, and just as skilled as he blocked and parried each strike. With a single strike, XANA knocked Ulrich back, but the samurai themed boy shot back with a battle cry. XANA retained his smirk as he held up his sword that began to glow. Just as Ulrich's sword met his own again, XANA's sword exploded in a blast of red light that sent Ulrich flying back, crashing into Odd as he ran to help, sending them skidding across the desert ground.
"Ulrich! Odd!" Yumi called out before she and Aelita turned to face XANA.
The Avatar of the demonic AI was staring at them with one hand on a hip and a taunting grin as he was seemingly waited for them to make a move. Yumi held her hands to her head and a pale light surrounded her. XANA raised an intrigued eyebrow and while Aelita let out a harmonious tune and his eyes widened as boulders and rocks appeared around him, suspended in the air by Yumi's telekinesis. With a grunt, Yumi thrust a hand forward and they all fell on top of XANA.
"Aelita, get to the tower!" Yumi opened both her fans. "We'll cover you-"
A single boulder was blasted at them, kicking up dust as both girls jumped out of the way in opposite direction. Just Yumi opened her eyes, she saw only dust clouds…before a dark hand shot straight at her. She tried to defend with her fans but the hand grabbed her wrist while the other one, holding the scimitar, slammed the hilt in her face and knocked her down.
"Yumi!" Aelita called out as Yumi was knocked down.
Yumi grunted as she swung her free hand, still holding its fan at XANA who batted it away and then grabbed Yumi by the neck, picking her up and throwing her aside. Yumi grunted as she skidded a few times across the ground. Aelita took a step back, a fearful look on her face as XANA turned to face her.
XANA's eyes narrowed as he looked at her. "It's time to end this."
Then a familiar screech was heard and Aelita paled as the Scyphozoa, the monster she feared the most appeared from behind a boulder and approached her. Just as Aelita was about to start running, the ground behind her rose up in the form of a wall, cutting her off.
"Aelita!"
"Laser Arrows!"
A barrage of arrows hit the Scyphozoa head on, forcing it back as XANA adopted an annoyed look on his face while blocking another strike from Ulrich. XANA stepped back as Aelita fired an energy field that was blocked as XANA held out a hand, using an Energy Field of his own to conjure a shield to block Aelita's attack.
"Aelita, run! Get to the tower!" Ulrich said, standing in front of the pink haired girl. "Deactivate one and we can still turn this around."
"I think not." XANA said before shooting forward.
Ulrich grunted as he angled his sword and caught XANA's blade.
"This isn't like before, Ulrich." XANA spoke slowly as Ulrich shoved him back. "You think I simply announced my return just for us to pick up where we left off? Everything has changed while you remain as you were, even before I first destroyed Lyoko. Still the same children parading yourself as so-called heroes when you spent the last two years, fumbling in the ignorance of a normal life earned by the false victory I gave you."
"It doesn't matter whether you tricked us or not." Ulrich retorted as Odd and Yumi joined him. "We'll stop you no matter what."
XANA grinned. "Still so confident. Perhaps it's time I show you just how outclassed you truly are."
With that, a red Eye appeared underneath the trio, making Aelita stop and turn around to look back. Surges of orange-yellowish energy sprouted from the edges of the Eye, crackling like lightning.
"Guardian Circle!" XANA announced, narrowing his eyes. "Now, show me if you are still as capable as you believe, Lyoko Warriors."
The energy lashed out like tendrils, attempting to grab the trio as they moved to escape. Ulrich grunted as he blocked the incoming surges with his sword with Yumi standing behind him, blocking incoming surges with her fans.
Odd tried to move, using his own energy shield to block the surges as he neared the edge, but a laser shot hit him in the back. "GAH!"
The dragon themed knights appeared, one of them holding a laser pistol that hit Odd in the back. With the momentary distraction, a surge shot out and hit Odd, wrapping around his arm and allowing energy to travel down his body.
"Guys, I need a hand-" Odd was cut off as the energy formed into a Guardian that immediately swallowed him.
"ODD!" Ulrich and Yumi shouted.
More and more energy surges lashed out as the Dragon Knights surrounded the Guardian Circle, cutting them off from escaping. The Dragon Knight armed with laser pistols fired into the circle at Ulrich and Yumi, increasing the difficulty of attempting to escape the circle.
"Triangulate!" Ulrich shouted, conjuring two more copies while moving in between the three afterimages in a flash of golden yellow light.
The tendrils along with the Knights began firing rapidly now as Ulrich fought harder to block the incoming attacks and hopefully at least get Yumi out. Then out of nowhere, the energy tendrils latched onto nearby rocks and boulders and shot them at Ulrich's clones, taking them out instantly. Ulrich slammed into a boulder, leaving him stunned and wide open as an energy tendril grabbed him.
"ULRICH!" Yumi shouted, trying to slash the tendril holding Ulrich but was hit from behind and grabbed by an energy tendril.
In a matter of seconds, both of them were left swallowed up by the Guardians forming around them.
"Now let's put you somewhere nice and quiet." XANA hissed before a portal opened beneath the Guardians who immediately sank into with the trio they were holding.
"NO!" Aelita shouted, tossing an energy sphere at XANA, who parried it with his scimitar.
"Now sister...time to run, time to scream...time to die." XANA's red eyes glowed like stars at night as he smirked. "Capture her."
Aelita fled towards the tower, knowing she could not hope to win.
As the Dragon Knights pursued her, Jeremy urged Aelita on. "Keep going Aelita!"
"Ah yes, the prodigy, the one who signed my father's death warrant... I can take care of you just as easily." XANA grinned. "As you will see, I've improved more than my digital monsters Jeremy."
Jeremy looked down, seeing his cellphone vibrate and sparkle and he immediately threw it away as a cloud of black mist began to slowly come out of the cables above the computer. "Nice try, nobody around to possess."
XANA chuckled. "Wrong Jeremy. You haven't been to Lyoko for over two years and even then, you only went there for a limited amount of time. Over a certain amount of time the resistance that is built up against me fades. Like I just said...I've improved."
The Specters entered Jeremy as he realized what XANA meant. The boy cried out and fell from the seat.
"Now I get to see Aelita fight with no friends to fight with her and no father to die for her. Time to go Jeremy; let's not let my sister see you this way. I won't hurt her yet... I'd like to watch her suffer first." Jeremy could hear XANA's voice from the Specters as it took over his mind.
"No... Aelita..." Jeremy's eyes closed...and opened with the XANA symbol in place of his irises.
"Go now my servant." XANA whispered in his mind.
Jeremy left the computer room, taking the elevator down to the scanner room and a second later, he left the factory altogether.
"Jeremy! I'm in the tower!"
Aelita was putting in the code as the Dragon Knights tried without success to enter the tower. She approached the command interface and put in her name.
In capital letters, a message was displayed.
CODE
In the real world, moments before the tower was deactivated, Jeremy was struggling with the Specters as it tried to control him. He pulled himself up onto the chair and began to type in the code to devirtualize Aelita. As she put in the code, Jeremy put in the final key.
She typed in the same one she used for so long, the one that ended XANA's attacks.
LYOKO
"Tower deactivated." Aelita sighed in relief before she was pulled out of digital space and reappeared in the scanner room.
The Dragon Knights paused as the tower turned blue.
XANA grimaced, the strain of his power being pushed back making it painful for him now that he could feel. "Well...such a shame, but I haven't lost either my dear sister. You're alone now, at my mercy and stuck here."
As he said those words, a figure was virtualized and landed in front of him.
"Welcome back to Lyoko, Jeremy." XANA glared down at the boy who lifted his head up, his face looking terrified as he stared up at the one who brought him here.
After taking a moment to recover, Aelita took the elevator back to the control room.
"Jeremy! What are we going to-" Aelita paused as she saw the empty chair. "Jeremy?"
"Sister..." XANA's voice hissed over the intercom. "If you want to see Jeremy, look at the screen."
Aelita came over to the computer screen and paled when she saw Jeremy kneeling before XANA, his eyes showing he was possessed. "No…"
Jeremy was trembling now. "XA…NA."
"Pathetic." XANA grabbed the back of Jeremy's head and lifted him off the ground. "To think, I spent so much time preparing for when I confronted you all again, you would fall so easily before me. It never occurred to you at all that I would prepare my own countermeasures against the virus you made to destroy me. You and my creator, Waldo Schaeffer, are alike in so many ways. You are both geniuses beyond your years and are capable of creating beyond anything believed to be possible.
But that also makes you so arrogant and vain. You were so sure your program would work because it was like pressing a delete key and just like that your problem was solved." XANA's eyes flashed red. "You were thinking of deleting a special program, but you forgot that program had long since achieved sentience and could easily counter your attack. You and those other children fancied yourselves as heroes, defenders of the human race but at the end of day you were still only children, unable to understand what you were truly fighting this entire time. And in the two years that have passed, you never once questioned the possibility that the enemy you believed gone had not prepared any contingency and that is why you failed today."
XANA looked up at the sky now. "Sister, I know you can hear me, so I want you and Jeremy to hear this one final truth I have left to give. You are defeated today but in truth, the Lyoko Warriors as you so blatantly called yourself are the ones who died with our father, not me on that day."
XANA fired an Energy Field at the ground, destroying it and leaving Jeremy to fall into the digital sea upon letting go of his head.
"JEREMY!" Aelita screamed, rushing to devirtualize Jeremy as he did her.
But it was too late.
Jeremy managed to let out a scream before he hit the digital sea with a loud splash. XANA stared impassively down at where the genius, watching as the wake left by the splash quickly vanished.
He then looked up to the sky. "Sister…"
"You're alone now. No bodyguards, no Jeremy, it's just you and me now."
"No..." Aelita collapsed to her knees with a look of anguish on her face, tears slipping down her cheeks as she stared at where Jeremy had been.
In this moment, she wished her father would rise up, carrying Jeremy to safety like he done for her once.
But nothing came up.
Because her daddy was dead.
And so was Jeremy.
"I'll leave you be for now, I need to recover from that head ache you gave me... farewell sister." XANA's voice faded.
Aelita stared at the map of Lyoko as the remaining towers deactivated on their own for what felt like eternity, unable to accept what just happened.
Then it all hit her: her friends were gone, Jeremy was gone, and she had to fight XANA all on her own now.
Deep within the digital depths of Lyoko, a mind had stirred as pieces of itself slowly to come together. The process was slow and in some ways painful as the consciousness sought to essentially piece itself back together.
Distant memories, voices long forgotten echoed in its mind, faces that were blurry at first slowly coming into focus.
'Aelita…'

As the credits are shown on the left side, the interior of Kadic Academy is shown, zeroing in on a file left on a desk.

The file opened to reveal a dossier with the name signed on the bottom: FRANZ HOPPER

The papers are moved, revealing a picture of Waldo Schaeffer and his wife, Anthea Schaeffer, who is shown to be pregnant.
(Such a waste...)
Another picture is shown of a woman with blond hair and wearing glasses.
(And suddenly I was)
Another picture shows a man with brunette hair and a beard.
(Out of the cool,)
A new picture is shown with five kids smiling: Odd was holding Kiwi over his head, a big grin on his face while the dog barked. Ulrich and Yumi were holding each other, winning at the camera; William smiled easily, feeling awkward about being back in the group after all he had apparently done to them under XANA's control. And Aelita was kissing Jeremy on the cheek, making Jeremy blush as the shot was captured.
