"Where are we going?" 12-year-old Alice asked her Mama and Papa as they made their way through the winding trails of Wonderland.
"Away from here my songbird," said her father. He was a tall man dressed in muted tones, with blond hair and bright blue eyes. A wooden music pipe was tucked into his belt as he held Alice's hand.
"We're going back to where I'm from," said her mother who was a pretty woman with brunette hair tied back with a blue ribbon and eyes grey as a thunder cloud though they were filled with warmth. Her clothes were similarly inconspicuous in shade, a strange thing for her normally colorful parents. The only thing of real significance was ring on her mother's finger engraved with an R.
Alice herself was a perfect mix of her parents with her father's blond hair and fair complexion and her mother's grey eyes. As for her curiosity well that could be blamed on, or attributed to, depending on who you asked, both parents.
"The Enchanted Forest? Why?"
"There's danger here darling. Besides, we'll be able to make more performing in a place where our talents are more unique," said her father.
Alice smiled at that thought. Everyone in wonderland really seemed to have something unique about them. And honestly not all of them were pleasant. She had also heard whispers that Wonderland was growing more dangerous.
"Mr. Carroll said moving through the realms was impossible. That the Queen is watching all the exits."
"Oh, come now Alice. What do we always do in this family?" asked her father.
"Think of six impossible things before breakfast?" she said. Her parents exchanged a smile.
"Exactly," said her mother. "I'll start. One there's cake that can change your size."
"Two cats can disappear," said Alice. She'd learnt that one the hard way.
"Three, flowers can sing, if badly," said her father.
"Four, there's a man who can spin straw into gold," said her mother.
"Five, music can influence the mind," said Alice.
"Six, we can escape Wonderland," said her mother just as they stopped in front of a white rabbit in a white suit with a bowler hat and tiny red glasses. Alice wondered if things this strange were exclusive to Wonderland.
"Ready to go Margaret?" asked the rabbit. "We have to be quick."
"Ready as we'll ever be," said Alice's mother they all joined hands Alice took one last look back at the world that had been her home. Then down the rabbit hole they went.
Author's Note: And we're off! This series is gonna cover Jefferson and Piper from The Best Tea Cup is Chipped Series though Piper/Alice is the primary protagonist. First several chapters are gonna be establishing her before we get around to starting up the romance with Jefferson. There will also be pieces that crossover with The Best Tea Cup is Chipped but I will do my best not to repeat TOO many scenes verbatim. Anyway let me know what you think comments REALLY are what help keep this going! Until next time!
