Lincoln is training his daughter Lich. She was very excited. Her Black straight bangs and White hair tendrils bouncing up and down.
"Now magic is a very powerful thing. And with any power there is an inherent danger. First things first is water." Said Lincoln
"Like a fire hose." Said Lich mimicking the motions.
"Not yet that is very hard, and dangerous. More like a drop." Said Lincoln pointing his finger and a small water droplet appears.
" how? Daddy? How?" Asked Lich scrunching her freckled nose.
"It is very simple my daughter. In humid conditions like this think of something cold on the tip of your finger. What makes you feel cold?" Said Lincoln
She thinks for a little bit and said "winter?" Sticking out her pale finger Mimicking her father.
"Maybe, it depends on your emotion" Said Lincoln
She attempted to summon water. She was unsuccessful.
"Was this the first spell you used?" Said Lich
"Oh no it was teleportation but I don't recommend it for beginners. But It is how I found out about your mother's affections for me."
"How is that?" Said Lich
"well it all starts with your Great Grandpa Albert. I was at his nursing home." Said Lincoln as we transition back to that time.
Lincoln and Albert are looking in an old footlocker.
"I tried to get a souvenir from every port of call. Back in my navy days. I was a Carrier pilot so we went everywhere." Said Albert
"did you get that doll from Japan?" Said Lincoln pointing at a small wooden doll
"Yes I got it in Yokosuka Close to Tokyo it's called a Kokeshi. Funny story actually I found it floating down the river while I was fishing. thought I caught a big fish." Said grandpa Albert
He glanced over the contents. A lot of the knickknacks are obvious in there Providence. A Hawaiian tiki a boomerang that says down under. Then Lincoln's eyes catch on something.
"where did you get this from?" Said Lincoln holding up a plain wooden box.
"oh it is what's inside. It was from Scotland. Open it " Said Albert and Lincoln does revealing an anchor pendant.
"I found it at a rummage sale. It just kind of called to me. The man selling it said it was magic " Said Albert
"Like what kind of magic?" Said Lincoln
"I don't know. Never quite figured that out. Say maybe you can, do you want it?" Asked Albert
"Yes" said Lincoln
Lincoln was in his room looking at the pendant. He Heard a thump in the attic. It was probably Lucy. Maybe he would bring the amulet to her she knows magic stuff. A very clean Picture of the attic came into his mind. He then saw Lucy looking at him. It was also like she was there. Her pale Blue and dark blue eyes are looking down on him. There is confusion in them though.
"Lincoln?" she said breathlessly.
He got up and looked around. He was just in his room right. Lucy is in a circle a Picture of him and a Lock of his hair are in connected circles. Lots of runic symbols and hieroglyphics are written around.
"What are you doing?" Said Lincoln
"Nothing" she said staring at Lincoln
He looks at the open book the Header read Unlove spell.
"Unlove spell?" Asked Lincoln confused
"I have a problem." Said Lucy
"But we are siblings we should love each other." Said Lincoln
"No Lincoln not like how I love you. Not like how I love you." Said Lucy starting to cry and shake her head.
"Luce. It is ok" Said Lincoln putting his hand on Lucy's chin.
"No it's not Lincoln. I want you as my lover. I think about you as I go to sleep. I want children with you. I love you Lincoln. I know you have a girlfriend and I am your sister." Said Lucy with a quiver in her normally monotone voice
"But you don't have to do this." Said Lincoln
"I do if I don't I will attempt to take you as my boyfriend. I won't be able to stop myself." Said Lucy
Lincoln looks at Lucy.
"Will this get rid of our sibling love?" Said Lincoln
"…yes" Said Lucy softly
"I don't want that." said Lincoln
"Then I am officially in the running for your heart." Said Lucy she then kissed him. After they Break apart Lincoln vanished back to his room.
"Dad look" Said Lich This brings Lincoln back to the here and now.
His daughter was holding up her finger. A drop of water was now on it.
"Good job what was the catalyst for you?" Asked Lincoln
"Thinking you and mommy could've not ended up together. If you didn't accidentally teleport" Said Lich
"oh Lich." Said Lincoln hugging his daughter.
