The forks sporting store door opened and a customer came in. He went towards the back of the store. Avrail waited while he grabbed a few things to keep him warm during a hike then he came back up front to the register. He asked Avrail if she heard about a man who was sick in the hospital, and broke through a window and escaped. The incident had happened in Olympia. Avrail replied that she hadn't heard of the Olympian Hospital scene. The gentleman said that it had happened a few days ago, he said goodbye soon after. Mike came up front soon after the man left and asked if she was getting many customers in the store. Avrail replied that she had a few. Terran was in his play pen and Avrail went over to pick up and feed him. He was one and having more bottle time.
Later that night, Avrail and Mike were in bed. Terran was in his crib sleeping. They were watching a movie, it was a suspense movie, a person in a town was trying to find out information about his work. Avrail asked Mike if he noticed that vampires seemed to be more in Olympian than in forks. She told him about the story she heard at the store today. Mike replied that they were probably distracted for a bit. Avrail said maybe, and snuggled into Mike to finish watching the movie.
The next morning Avrail was in the kitchen with Terran and Mike. Mike's phone rang and he answered it. He said hello, and really, than walked into the other room. Avrail sat at the table and picked up Terran's rattle and handed it to him. Mike came back into the room, and said that was Terrance on the phone. Avrail waited for Mike to continue. Mike then said that Terrance had found a new drug that treats people with the vampire virus. The drug had to be used in 48 hours or it wouldn't work. Avrail said that was good news. Mike replied that yes it was good news, then he said that Terrance was having a show the next day with a new vampire, to show a crowd of people how it worked. Mike asked Avrail if she wanted to go to the show. Avrail said that she did want to.
They were on their way to Terrance's training center. Avrail looked out the window and saw it was raining. When Mike pulled into the parking lot, he parked and Avrail got out of the car. Mike got the stroller out of the trunk. Avrail pushed the stroller to the arena, Mike walked beside her. Soon after sitting down, a gentleman came onto the stage, and said that they had newly turned vampire from the night before and they would show the audience how the new vampire was changed back to a person. The vampire was trying to escape, and a Doctor came on the stage. The doctor put his suitcase on the stage and began to prepare the shot. The vampire started to calm down after the first half hour. It looked like the drug had stopped the man from becoming a vampire. After then man had the cure, he couldn't remember much, besides a few hours before his accident. The man was sent back to his cage. Avrail and Mike left the arena soon after that, they saw Terrance on the way out and they went over to where he was standing. Mike said that the show was good, asked if the memory returned to the old vampire. Terrance replied that it did return in a week. Avrail and Mike said good bye soon after, and walked to their car.
When they were at home that night, Avrail was sitting on the couch with Terran. She asked Mike if he thought that the vampire fix really worked. Mike said that it seemed like if was enough time to stop the full transformation. Avrail agreed, and turned to the television that was playing a romantic comedy movie. Avrail saw that it was still raining, it had stopped for a bit, but started again when her and Mike were driving home.
