- UA Teachers' Lounge -
Sipping his coffee, Toshinori, in his shriveled form, relaxed in his seat on the couch as he waited for the time when he would teach Class 1-A. After his sip, he sighed, blowing on the steam of the hot beverage as he sat there in his thoughts.
Alright. So far, the contractor has agreed for Cementoss to build the dormitories. And Principal Nedzu announced the changes that are coming here at UA yesterday. So...I guess the waiting game has already begun.
...Toshinori's thoughts went back to Midoriya.
...I really hope Young Midoriya won't be overwhelmed by all of this. The poor boy almost got killed, and suddenly he has to work as hard as ever to become a Hero. I can't believe he still even wants to become one after what happened to them two days ago! ...Hm...I really did choose a good candidate...
Then a heroic jingle emerged from the quietness in the room.
"...Hm?" Toshinori reached into his suit pocket and got out his phone. He looked at the caller ID on the screen.
MPD
"Huh?" Toshinori's eyes went wide slightly.
MPD? I wonder what they need...I hope Tsukauchi and everyone else are okay.
He pushed the 'accept' button and put his phone to his ear. "Hello?"
"All Might. This is Tsukauchi."
"Uh, hey, old friend. What seems to be the problem?"
"I don't know if you've seen the news right now, but someone left a 'message' at our base. To be blunt, it's a body."
Now Toshi's eyes widened by a fraction. "A body?"
"Yeah...you might need to look at the news. Where are you right now?"
"I'm, um, at the teacher's lounge. I'll, uh, turn on the TV here."
And so Toshinori put his coffee down on the table and reached for the remote and turned on the TV, searching for the local news channel. Once he was there, he sees the scene on screen.
"...'Unidentified Dead Man Hanging Near MPD Base?' My word..." Toshinori read the words in horror.
"Yeah. The perpetrator also left a message on the body. It referred to you, this person calling you ALL TALK."
"All Talk? ..." Toshinori's eyes went wide by another fraction. "Wait...that sounds-"
"-Like the name back at the bank robbery. Yeah. It looks like all of these crimes are really connected to this Joker. The bank robbery, the home invasion of the Yaoyorozu Estate, and now this. There was a convenience store robbery last night by four perpetrators, each taking care of a Pro Hero that was patrolling that night, but police and other Heroes couldn't find them...until one of my men saw a truck, the getaway vehicle, smashed almost like a pancake. We also found some blood samples and were about to see who it belongs to when the body of one of our perpetrators slammed on my window, hanging by the neck."
"...Good Lord," Toshinori muttered.
"We don't think that particular crime was linked to Joker, but we think the body was handled by him. It seemed the victim died from blood loss. His whole mouth was carved up into a smile-"
"T-That's okay, Naomasa, I-I don't need to know the details," Toshinori said with his hand on his forehead, dragging it down onto his face as it turned white.
"Oh...uh, sorry. I've been stuck at the office for so long, I tend to go through the procedure every time."
"It's okay, old friend," Toshi sighed, "So, what else did the message say?"
"Basically, Joker wants some Heroes and you mostly to come over to the docks an hour from now, probably around 11:00 AM. He says it'll be somewhat of a 'showdown'."
"Showdown, huh?" Toshinori groaned, "I have to teach Class 1-A in two hours or so. I don't even know if I have time, or even if I could."
"Can you just tell the Principal that you're needed?"
"Well, maybe, but-"
"That's quite alright, All Might," said the voice of Nedzu.
"Huh?" Toshinori looked at the door to the teachers' lounge and saw none other than the Principal standing in the opened doorframe. "Sir?"
"...Let me guess. The Principal is right there, isn't he?"
"Right you are, Detective Tsukauchi!" Nedzu came in tapping his right ear, "I have an earpiece that carries off sound waves as well as transmits phone calls!"
"Uh...okay," Toshinori blinked, "Um...should I ask any reason why?"
"Not at this moment, All Might, as it seems this situation has gotten rather dire. This Joker is trying to boldly bait you and the other Heroes into this little showdown that he's got orchestrated," Nedzu informed, "I saw the news and I heard your conversation with Detective Tsukauchi. I wouldn't be against it if you had to go and dealt with such a matter, All Might. I will simply tell Aizawa to tell the students that something came up and you had to take care of it. I do want to ask you, though, but have you used your buff form lately?" he asked as he close the door behind him, "By the way, put Detective Tsukauchi on speaker phone."
"Oh, uh, right," Toshinori turned the phone on speaker and put it on the table, "But, um, to your question, no, not today. Which...is another thing. I don't know if I can be over there as All Might and come back here as All Might in that timeframe. I don't even know how long this confrontation will last. I would be limiting my form even more and risking myself to even more danger if I went out as All Might to fight these guys..." Toshinori looked down at his lap, "...I don't know. Besides, I'm committed to teaching these kids about Heroism, and I don't want to break that promise."
"Ah, I suspected you would say that as much," Nedzu nodded, "Well then, if that's how you feel, then we shall respect that. In the meantime, I must ask Detective Tsukauchi, but what Heroes were you deciding to bring in?"
"Well, Principal Nedzu, I was thinking of bringing at least five or six Heroes with us. As of this moment, we've already contacted Kamui Woods, and getting ready to contact Fat Gum, Death Arms, and Crust. Right now, we're seeing if-oh...hold on a second. There's someone calling on the other line."
"Oh? Who would that be?" Nedzu asked.
"...Sir Nighteye."
"Wha-huh!?" Toshinori gawked in surprise.
"Oh, Sir Nighteye, you say?" Nedzu looked at Toshi, "My, I wonder what he's calling MPD for? Do you happen to know, All Might?"
Toshinori turned to the furry principal, "Me? I, uh, I don't know. Um..."
"Hm. I might need to take this. Either way, you know the department and I won't think bad of you if you decide to not go over to the pier, right All Might?"
"Oh, uh...yeah, I know."
"Good. Until then, sorry, I got to take this call. Be careful out there, okay?"
"Oh, yeah. Thank you, Old Friend. You too," Toshinori advised him.
"Ciao."
And with that, Tsukauchi hung up.
"Still, Sir Nighteye? All the way from Tokyo? I wonder why Mirai would want to call MPD? Perhaps he wants to be involved in this case?" Nedzu wondered to himself.
"Hmm..." Toshinori hummed in thought, "...If he heard anything about the news, I doubt he wants to work with me."
"Oh come now, All Might, even though you both had a fallout, he still respects you."
"Hmph...well, he didn't respect my decision on choosing Midoriya...as well as my decision to keep being a Hero."
"Either way, maybe in your case, it is a good thing you're stepping out of this one. You don't want to open up old wounds, per se," Nedzu advised.
"..." Toshnori sighed, "Still, I wonder what he's calling MPD for?"
"Perhaps it's something involved with the convenience store robbery from last night? I do think the Pro Hero that was attacked by the criminals had his agency nearby Nigtheye's." Nedzu speculated.
"Hm...maybe..." Toshinori rubbed his forehead anxiously, "Things are really getting chaotic around here."
"It would seem so, All Might. But just persevere, and hopefully, everything will go smoothly from this point on."
"...Right...hopefully it will..." All Might mumbled.
And I hope everyone will be alright until then.
"MPD, this is Detective Tsukauchi speaking," Tsukauchi said as he spoke on the other line.
"Detective Tsukauchi. This is Sir Nighteye."
"Sir Nighteye. What can I do for you?"
"Simply put, Detective, I need to look at the body that was left at your headquarters."
"Oh? What for?"
"The perpetrator struck a Pro Hero that I often work with. I visited him this morning in a hospital halfway from here and asked him who it was. He answered that it was a small-time thug group, each with mutant Quirks, the leader probably having three red horns on his head. He was blonde, too. And I saw on the news that the body you discovered was blonde as well."
"Hm..." Tsukauchi's eyes widened a bit in realization, "Wait a second..."
"If you're thinking what I'm thinking, then you might be correct. That could be the same person who attacked the Pro Hero. The reason I'm bringing this up, is that I've been looking into a case where certain criminals have been stealing money from different places. This has been happening for about a month and a half now. The criminals I'm looking for happen to be wearing masks."
Now Tsukauchi's interest went up tenfold. "Were they masks of clowns and Shounen Jump characters?"
"No. They were more like plague masks."
"Plague masks? ...Huh. That's actually interesting." Tsukauchi mused.
"Yes. And I don't think these crimes that happened two days ago are connected in any way, since the robbers in the bank heist didn't wear any of these plague masks. Also, the home invasion of the Yaoyorozu Estate was too brazen, so these couldn't be the people I'm looking for. However, I was informed by Bubble Girl last night that she saw a smashed truck and called your department about it."
"Ah, so that's who called."
"Hm. Either way, when I saw the news about the body and saw that it was involved with this Joker character you've apparently been searching for, it was then my intuition states that this person we both are looking for seems to now be connected to each of our crimes."
"Connected, huh? What makes you say that?" Tsukauchi asked the Pro.
"The people I'm looking for are involved with an underground Yakuza group called the Shie Hassaikai. They're under close surveillance at this moment and my reasoning suggests that they are causing some of these robberies."
"A Yakuza group?" Tsukauchi inquired.
"Yes. They're planning something. I just don't know what yet...however, I will ask you this: the news only said that the body was a blonde male individual...did he have any of his horns?"
"...No..." Tsukauchi is beginning to see the picture.
"...Hm...troubling...again, I need to look at that body. Would you be able to send pictures of it today as I get over to Musutafu?"
"You're coming over to Musutafu? Right now?" Tsukauchi blinked in surprise.
"My intuition says that this is too much of a coincidence to ignore. I will try to aid as much as I can in this case that your team has gotten involved in. I might even bring someone from UA in the Hero Work Studies course, if that would be alright. His Quirk could prove to be quite helpful."
"Um...I mean, sure. We have an hour until we go to our destination the Joker told us to meet up, so you have to come here quickly."
"Understood...one more question, Detective."
"Hm? What is it?"
"...How is All Might?"
"Oh. All Might is...well, he's doing okay, things considering."
"Hm...alright then. I'll head over there. Please send me the pictures until then."
"Right. Will do."
And with that, they hung up. Tsukauchi sighed as he got up, going over to the department's mortuary to take those pictures of the body.
Well, I guess I have another Pro to add to the list of Hero-Helpers.
Sir Nighteye was at the tram station waiting on the train, dialing another number on his phone. He soon puts it to his ear and waits for the ring to go through.
"...Yes, hello. This is Sir Nighteye. I would like to speak to Principal Nedzu for a moment. I want to borrow one of your upperclassmen students, my pupil Togata."

- Shie Hassaikai Compound -
"This is the Joker?" asked a bald muscular man wearing a white face mask with a black open-top shirt and long gray pants with black shoes. His name is Yu Hojo.
"Huh...he dresses like a Yakuza," said a tall and lean man with short blonde hair that overlaps his right eye. He's also wearing a dark green shirt with a pink tie, black pants with brown shoes, and a black long beaked plague mask. His name is Toya Setsuno.
"Not very impressive if you ask me," said a long light brown-haired man with a tattered white shirt and dark pants covered with a light blue tunic and wearing two belts around his waist, complete with boots. He's also wearing metal gauntlets on his arms, knuckles, and fingers. Lastly, he's wearing an old worn leather plague mask. His name is Kendo Rappa.
"So he's the Quirkless Wonder?" said a calm-voiced tall male with ash blond hair. He was wearing a dark-colored yukata with a white sash belt around his waist, a pair of geta shoes on his feet, and a plague mask on his face. His name is Hekiji Tengai.
"Heh! He looks like a clown!" said a skinny man with greasy black hair. He's wearing a fluffy brown vest, black pants with black shoes, and is bare-chested. He's also wearing a unique plague mask that has large eye holes. His name is Deidoro Sakaki.
"...Eat?" said a skinny man with a purple shirt, jeans, and black shoes. He has a ragged burlap sack over his head with a stitched smile and two eyeholes. His name is Soramitsu Tabe.
"...Huh. He looks weird," said a muscular giant of a man. He also wears a plague mask, a black tank top with a stand–by symbol on it, olive drab jeans, an armor-looking belt, and some socks and orange shoes. He also wears massive gauntlets and knuckledusters on his fists. His name is Rikaya Katsukame.
"...Hm..." said a slim man with a dark black cape, three-forth baggy pants, a bowler hat, and pale sneakers. He also wears a black plague mask. His name is Shin Nemoto.
Joker looked at the men with an evil smile. "So, you're all the Eight Bullets, huh?"
The Eight Bullets glanced at each other, a little curious about this individual. The one with a black cape, Nemoto, answered, "Indeed we are."
"Well, boy-howdy, dawg! How's it hangin' then, bros? Your boss basically made me a part of the crew now! And I have to say, you all look like a lively bunch of fellows that know how to party! Haha!" Joker cackled.
Overhaul was next to Joker as he began to say, "Yes. As Joker previously stated, he is part of the crew now. You will treat him as you treat each other."
The eight men team looked at one another once more. Rappa shrugged as he said, "Eh, as long as he can fight, sure."
"Well, welcome to the crew, I guess," Hojo said to Joker.
"Hm. I think he also has a crew. I think one of his men is actually made of crystal, like you, Hojo," Tengai informed him.
"Huh? Really?" Hojo asked in inquiry, "Wait, is he just made of Crystal, or can he project crystals?"
"Oh, he's made of green crystal," Joker answered him, "Totally two different things, no worries!"
"...Ah...okay," Hojo nodded at that.
"Actually, I do want to ask, what are your Quirks, if I may be so bold?" Joker asked them with a curious but wicked smile.
Setsuno raised his hand, "My Quirk is Larceny. I'm like a pick-pocketer, except I only get things that I can carry."
"Energy Suck. I suck the energy out of people, and it makes me stronger than ever before," Katsukame explained.
"Mine is Barrier. I create barriers around people and groups," Tengai explained.
Sakaki was drinking his bottle of sake. As soon as he finished, he gave out a sigh of satisfaction and told Joker in a drunken way, "My Quirk is Sloshed. I make people dizzy."
"My Quirk is Strongarm. I deliver mighty strong punches," Rappa told him with one raised arm.
"Mine is Crystallize. I guess that one is pretty self-explanatory, huh?" Hojo said.
"Eat!" Tabe yells out.
"...His Quirk is Food. He eats anyone and anything in his vicinity," Nemoto said, "As for me, my Quirk is Confession. I ask a question, and they answer truthfully."
"Oooh, very nice, all of you! Those can be quite deadly if used properly," Joker said with a grin.
"...Hm. Indeed," Nemoto dryly said.
"So, you're the one who thought up a faster way for the Quirk Erasing formula, huh?" Hojo asked Joker.
"That I did! You'll find it very potent and deadly if I do say so myself! You can use it on some poor Heroic sap or shoot each other for some friendly fire! Haha!" Joker jested.
"I honestly don't use a weapon. I just use my fists to finish a person off. I feel like it's tasteless to use a weapon when you're in a fight," Rappa stated.
"Eh, whatever suits ya, Armstrong," Joker says nonchalantly with a shrug.
"I also heard that you have your own division now," Tengai asked Joker, "That's a high honor from our boss."
"Hey, what can I say? I'm a charmer!" Joker boasted with a confident grin.
Nemoto stood there a little stiffly, the suspicion radiating off him. "Mind if I ask you some questions?"
"Oh?" Joker eyed Nemoto in an exaggerated matter with a raised eyebrow and a smile, "Well, certainly! What could those questions be, if I may ask? Are you going to ask me if I'm to be trusted? What my goal is? Boxers or briefs?"
Nemoto frowned behind his plague mask. "Actually-"
"Nemoto. Give Joker some respect," Overhaul told him darkly.
The Eight Bullets all froze in shock, including Nemoto.
"Um...I was...just wanting to ask...Joker," Nemoto said as he turned his head to the clown, "What...his goal is in all of this..." he asked, but kept himself collected in his thoughts of what to say so as not to anger Overhaul.
"Oh why, that's simple! I want to cause pure chaos in the Hero world! Seeing those miserable people in society with all their expectations on how these Heroes are the prime example of what is good and all of that glorified shit, when at the end of the day...they're nothing but absolute jokes. Holding onto some false hope that they can count on while looking down at people like me and you, all of you...when we, the outcasts, will soon let them realize...that the Heroes ain't all that," Joker began to smile in an evil way, "These so-called Heroes lie and scheme, even so much as lying to mere children to go for their dreams of becoming a Hero, whether for good publicity or so they can work for them someday. Either way, kids would blindly go for whatever they say, and I, for one, was one of those kids who wanted to be a Hero...until the cold...reality...hits me," Joker broaden his smile, somehow the expression matching his twisted enlighted realization, "...They, the Heroes and society, view me, a Quirkless man, a boy, as a joke. A joke that they can point and laugh at as well as ridicule, be hit upside the head with, beaten into submission, spat upon, suicide baited on, all the horrible things that you can imagine! And that's society's view on the Quirkless. As for the Heroes...they're prideful and hypocritical liars. Always turning the blind eye to people like me, as not only am I Quirkless, but also a freak of nature...and the albino skin that I have certainly doesn't help at all. So...all in all, I decided to become my own Hero...to let this society know...that they need to chill out for a bit to laugh at themselves...cause they're not so special at the end of the day. They, as well as the Heroes themselves...are the true jokes."
...The Eight Bullets stood there, absorbing that information...with some glancing at each other to see what the other was thinking after Joker's speech.
Setsuno looked at Joker with a wide-eyed impressed look, "That was...informational."
"Yeah...pretty deep, too," Hojo said with a nod.
"Very insightful, also," Tengai added.
"...Yeah, this Joker's alright," Rappa also nodded approvingly.
"That was beautiful," said Katsukame as he clapped slightly.
Tabe and Sakaki both nodded, looking quite impressed.
Nemoto...just blinked behind his mask, stupified at Joker's 'confession'. "...Alright then..."
"Now, Nemoto, is there anything else you wish to ask Joker?" Overhaul asked him with a dangerous edge to his tone.
"...N-No, Sir," Nemoto mumbled.
"Hm..." Overhaul turned to Joker, "Joker, I wish to speak to you in private."
"Oh really? Away from your crew? Gee, I wonder what this will be about?" Joker asked in unnatural glee. He turned to the Eight Bullets with a smirk. "Excuse me, fellas, I guess I have to discuss certain business deals with the Boss!"
And with that, Joker and Overhaul went off to a different area away from the Eight Bullets.
The eight members all just stood there as they watch them leave...
"...I like him. He seems cool," Katsukame said.
"...I guess," Nemoto muttered.
As soon as they went to another area away from everyone...
Overhaul turned to Joker and plainly said, "Joker. I think you should set this one out for now."
"Oh, really? Why's that?" Joker asked Overhaul curiously with a smile.
"Mostly for three reasons," Overhaul told him, "While I don't doubt your fighting skills, I think it would be too risky for you to come with us. First off, they might bring in some very strong Heroes to try and get to you first, while the second reason is that you're very valuable to this organization."
"Oh, why thank you! I can't help but feel really flattered by that statement! Hoo-hoo! But are you sure you don't want me to tag along just for the heck of it? I just might surprise you against some of these hapless do-gooders!"
"No. Again, it would be too risky. And also, the third reason would be that some of my subordinates don't seem to trust you yet."
"Oh they don't, huh? I mean, well, I figured much; a random stranger comes walking into your compound and made everything all the better and easier for you all," Joker shrugged, "Eh, what are you gonna do? I guess I get that."
"Do not worry, Joker. You will soon have your time to shine. Just be patient and you will have your day," Overhaul promised.
"Oh, now that I don't doubt! Haha! Well, either way, I do have maybe one suggestion that I like to give before you all go out there."
"And that would be?"
"Weeell...could you maybe record everything for me?" Joker asked with a hopefully sinister smile.
"...You know what? I just might," Overhaul said with rare sight, a slight smile, "Would it be alright if I borrow Hacker for a moment?"
"Ooooh, really!? You'd do that for me? Then, sure! Borrow the cyborg, I don't care! Hell, you can even borrow some of my other henchmen as well while you're at it! Hoo-hoo! Who says mob bosses can't be generous?" Joker's smile widened.
"Hm...you have indeed helped us more than you know, Joker," Overhaul commented, "And your henchman, Chameleon, did quite well on getting everyone's attention through the news."
"Oh yes, he is quite the crafty little lizard, isn't he? And hey, I'm just doing my part in all of this," Joker said with a devilishly sly smile, "Just take 'em down for me, Bossman."
Overhaul's smile went up a bit, the expression also carrying an evil feel to it, "Certainly."
- UA - Class 1-A -
10:25 AM
Izuku read the news on his phone while there was a break in his homeroom class.
The headline of the article said the following:
Unidentified Dead Man Hanging Near MPD Base
Of course, the headline was shocking enough, but how the body was taken care of...was what chilled Midoriya to the bone.
The victim died of blood loss, his face carved with a sharp object from the corners of his mouth going upward to make it look like a smile.
A smile.
"..." Izuku stared at the article with his heart in his throat.
He's...He's back.
"Midoriya?" said the voice of Momo Yaoyorozu behind him.
"Huh?" Midoriya looked behind him, to see Yaoyorozu standing there while carrying her phone in her hand.
She looked especially serious, which made him think that she might've read the news as well on her phone. Yaoyorozu early on put two and two together when she saw he was looking at his phone from where she was sitting at her desk, hence why she came over to his. She then asked him, "You...read the news too?"
"Oh...uh, y-yeah," Izuku nodded.
Yaoyorozu also nodded and said, "Are..." she glanced at the ground, trying to think of her next words, "...Are you okay? I mean...y-you're not like...reliving it right now, are you?" realizing how she said that, she winced, "I-I mean...u-um..." she awkwardly stumbled over her words, "Uh...I-I'm so sorry, I was just...w-well, I was...wondering if you're okay, really..."
Izuku blinked at the heiress, and softly smiled, "Hey, yeah, no worries. I'm okay. I'm just...surprised he's back is all."
"Oh..." Momo sighed in relief, "Okay then," she glanced at her phone, "But yeah...it seems he made another move."
"It looks like it..." Izuku looked at his phone once more again, "I wonder what he's trying to do right now."
"Oh hey, did you guys already read the news?" said Jirou who was approaching them, along with Kaminari.
"Yeah. Man, talk about messed up," Kaminari added.
A little ways away from the group, Bakugou's ears perked up upon hearing their conversation.
"What happened?" said Ochako as she and Tsuyu came up to them.
"Hey, what's going on?" said Mina, as she and Kirishima also came up to them.
"I think some of us have already read the news on our phones," Todoroki said as he walked up to them.
"Hm. Indeed," Iida said as he turned around in his seat at his desk to the other kids, "It seems the Villain that raid the Yaoyorozu Estate has struck again."
"Huh? You mean, uh...the Joker guy?" Kirishima asked any one of them in curiosity.
"Yeah...he basically killed someone and hung his body near the police department," Izuku explained.
"Oh...whoa," Kirishima cringed, "Dude, that's gross."
"Eeyuck. Tell me about it," Mina shivered, "Who was the victim?"
"It didn't say," Momo spoke out, "However..." she frowned when she remembered a part of the article that said the victim's face was carved into a smile. "...He...mutilated him a bit..."
That...That would've been me...
Sensing her discomfort, Izuku made the connection, and lowered his gaze shyly as he muttered, "Hey...don't think about it, okay?"
Momo looked up at Izuku upon hearing his reassurance, and smiled appreciatively, "R-Right..."
Tsuyu decided to speak up, "I wonder what this Joker guy's goal is?"
"That's the question of the day, isn't it?" Todororki muttered.
"Well, I'll ask you all one thing," said Kirishima, "I've heard from Ashido that this Joker guy is Quirkless. Is that true?" he turned to Mina and said quickly, "Not that I don't believe ya, that wouldn't be manly! I was just having a second opinion!" he smiled sheepishly.
Mina giggled, "Nah, I get ya!" she did frown though, "I still don't know why the news would lie like that, though."
"It could be for a number of reasons," Iida spoke, his eyes looking grim as he frowned, "Although they're not exactly good reasons, and I don't really necessarily agree with them, one reason would be that the media might think the Quirkless would be stirred up and will start a revolt."
...Izuku actually felt...insulted upon hearing that. Not at what Iida said, he knows he didn't mean anything like that whatsoever. He was just more offended by the media's mindset on that...
"That's despicable," Izuku muttered with a frown as he gazed down at his desk.
The other kids turned their heads at Midoriya in surprise. Even Bakugou turned his head a bit, hearing Midoriya's voice muttering out that response.
"I, uh...I don't really think that way, Midoriya. Honest," Iida said as he blinked, defending himself.
"Oh, no, I wasn't saying that at you, Iida," Izuku said with a small smile as he shook his head, "I was just talking about how the media views it."
"Oh...um, right," Iida replied with a serious nod.
"But yeah, that's a little extreme," Jirou agreed with Midoriya, "If anything, I would think it makes things a little worse if they censored that part about Joker. Like, what if they exposed that, and the Quirkless people get mad about it?"
"Either way, it wouldn't matter if he has a Quirk or not," Yaoyorozu added, "If he's dangerous enough to pull something like that off with a team of Quirked individuals, then he can be a danger amidst society."
"Definitely," Midoriya nodded in agreement.
Bakugou in the background remained silent...
Then, Aizawa called out to everyone, "Alright, everyone quiet down! I got a text from Principal Nedzu a while back. It's something important."
The class looked at their homeroom teacher in surprise.
"The Principal?" Sero inquired with a blink, "What happened? Are we getting another announcement from him?"
"Well, that's the thing. You all have seen the news on your phones, right?" Aizawa mentioned.
While some nodded, some didn't.
"Well, for those who didn't know, the news recently broke out that a dead body was placed near MPD, so the police are calling some Heroes to try and aid them. The Villain in question that happened to have done this would probably be this Joker, the same Villain who attacked some of your classmates and raid the Yaoyorozu Estate."
"Ah. So that bastard struck again," Mineta murmured in distaste.
"With that said, MPD has called a few Heroes to come in and assist them. And before any of you ask, the Heroes will be Kamui Woods, Death Arms, Fat Gum, Crust, and Sir Nighteye," Aizawa informed.
"Huh? Sir Nighteye?" Midoriya piped up in surprise, "Wait a second...that's All Might's former sidekick!"
"All Might's former sidekick?" Yaoyorozu asked, turning her head to Midoriya inquisitively.
"Really?" Kaminari asked out loud, "Whoa, I didn't know All Might used to have a sidekick!"
"Well, of course, dude. All Might has his own agency, so it would make sense that they would learn under him," Jirou smirked at the electric blonde.
"Oh...I mean, well, yeah, but...I always thought All Might started out as more of a loner-type of Hero, ya know?" Kaminari said.
"On the contrary!" Midoriya said as he spoke up, "Sir Nighteye is actually more the brains behind All Might, and his Quirk is really interesting! He-"
"Excuse me, I'm still talking," Aizawa droned.
"Ah! S-S-Sorry, sensei!" Midoriya stuttered in embarrassment.
"Hm. As for all of you kids, sit down for a moment." Aizawa told every one of his students.
All of the kids did so, getting back in their seats.
"Now, the reason I am telling you all of this is mainly because Principal Nedzu actually got a call from Nighteye, and he wants to be involved in this case. Even going as much as to bring his pupil, one of the Big Three, Togata Mirio, to accompany him."
"Huh? Really? Why?" Uraraka asked her teacher.
"That's part of Hero Work Studies. You either get called for Hero Work or not. In this case, Togata is being called by Nighteye to assist him."
"Whoa, so when we get to like, the second term, we get to go on Hero Work Studies?" Kirishima asked.
"Yes, but only if you apply for a Provisional License in the Provisional License Exam," Aizawa explained, "That way, you kids can choose your own Hero Agency and be called on a time when you all will be needed in Heroic Work."
"Oh, so it's like sidekick work, almost," Sero said with a nod.
"In a way, yes," Aizawa answered, "However, I will let Togata come in to tell you all what will transpire throughout this situation."
The kids look confused at that statement.
"Um, excuse me, sensei, but what do you mean by that?" Iida asked.
"Well, as of right now, Togata is in Class 1-B to tell them all what he's going to do when he gets to the scene. I will let him tell you all as soon as he gets to our classroom in a moment."
Then, all of a sudden, a young adult, a teenager phased through the door.
"No need to wait any longer, Aizawa-Sensei!" said the voice of...Togata Mirio! "Because I'm already here!"
The kids of Class 1-A all looked shocked and flabbergasted by the display of what Togata did. But that's not all...
He was dressed up in his Hero Costume, a flashy-looking outfit, complete with a red cape, a golden visor, and golden plated numbers that say 1,000,000 on his chest.
Most of the students looked at him in awe, while some of the girls(such as Mina and Tooru) looked at him like he was eye candy, and some looked at him dumbfoundedly(Bakugou, Todoroki, Jirou, Asui, and Tokoyami).
"Whoa! Togata-san!" Midoriya got up from his seat in excitement, "That's a really cool costume!"
Mirio smiled brightly at Izuku. "Thanks, Midoriya! But as of now, call me by my Hero name, Lemillion!"
"Lemillion?" Uraraka muttered as she blinked at the older teen.
"Yep! The Hero name has a deeper meaning, but that'll be for another day!" Mirio told her.
"Hey! How did you phase through the door? Is that your Quirk?" Kaminari asked him.
"Indeed it is!" Togata nodded with a smile, "It's called Permeation! I phase through solid objects! The Quirk is also a little complicated to explain right now as well since I got to make this real quick, so another time on that also!"
"Make what quick? What are you gonna tell us?" Midoriya asked him curiously.
"Well, simply put, the staff is bringing in TVs to let you view the action while I wear a body cam! So it's gonna be all recorded as Sir Nighteye and I, as well as the other Heroes and the police force, will face this threat! You will all get a full close-up view as well as video footage of how Hero Work is done!" Togata explained.
"Whoa, for real? Manly, dude!" Kirishima exclaimed in excitement.
"Wow, so it's like we're watching an action show? Nice!" Sero said with a grin.
"Cool, dude!" Kaminari exclaimed with a grin as well.
"But, I'm sorry to sound grim, but what if something goes wrong?" Yaoyorozu asked Togata.
"Oh there's no need to worry about that!" assured Togata, "Sir Nighteye and I have trained ourselves really well, not only in our Quirks but in our fighting abilities and our instinctual reflexes! Also, with my teacher's Quirk, that being Foresight, it'll let him see what comes next before it even happens!"
"Exactly!" Midoriya said as he turned to Yaoyorozu and nodded with a smile, "His Quirk is really handy in fights!"
"Oh...well, that is mighty handy," Yaoyorozu muttered to herself.
"Either way, the police informed us that we were to meet at the pier at eleven today. At around that time, we will let the Heroics Class be taken over by what is being broadcasted on my body cam," Togata explained, "Until then, watch the footage for anything that you might have noticed! Wish us all luck everyone!"
"Good luck, Togata-Senpai!" said all of Class 1-A, except for Midoriya and Bakugou. The former was more in thought for a moment, until he said out to Togata, "Wait! Togata-san!"
Before he could open the door like a normal person would, Mirio turned to Midoriya, "Oh! Yes, Midoriya?"
"Just...be careful with one Villain in particular, okay? His...His name is Joker. Whatever you do, don't underestimate him," Midoriya said with a serious expression.
Togata blinked but smiled, albeit it was one of melancholy understanding, "Thanks, Midoriya. I'll definitely heed your advice. And no worries! We'll get this guy! So with that said, Go Plus Ultra!"
He then exited the classroom, with everyone chattering amongst themselves about this unplanned event.
Midoriya, however, sat there feeling...well, he was supposed to feel reassured by Togata's statement, but really...he feels like something bad would happen either way. From what little he knows of Joker, he's almost unpredictable. From the bank robbery to the Yaoyorozu Estate raid, to this occurrence...
Just what is Joker's goal? Is it related to being Quirkless? Or...something else?
Meanwhile, Bakugou just sat there, quiet the whole time...
Okay, I am so sorry for stopping here, but I got to pack up for tomorrow to go to my home town to see my relatives for Christmas, so...Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays until then! :D
But yeah, don't worry, this is all set up for when the Heroes face Overhaul...and Joker. Uh-oh, did I spoil that? XP Either way, this story will get moving, no worries! I just want to get you all a new chapter before the year ends. ^^;
Still, tell me what you all think! I love to hear your thoughts! :D Leave me a review, fave, and a follow! I love them all dearly! XD
