Foreword
In our last chapter, Bowser has successfully stolen the Silver Crystal from Usagi and kidnapped Princess Peach while she was having a picnic with Mario. Meanwhile, Luigi and Yoshi were helping Usagi and her friends look for the stolen Silver Crystal, only to spot Bowser's airship armada flying above. The result? The beginning of a great battle between our heroes and the mighty Koopa Troop..

Mario: Bowser! What are you doing here?!
Bowser: Sorry to interrupt your picnic, plumber boy, but I believe I have a date with destiny.
Mario: What destiny?! Last time, you failed to force Princess Peach to marry you and rule the Mushroom Kingdom! You can't defeat me, Bowser!
Bowser: Is that so? You always fail to protect your precious princess!
Mario: That is true… but no matter what, I always save her in the end! Now tell me, Koopa scum! What's your plan this time?!
Bowser laughed at Mario's question.
Bowser: Oh, this plan is far much different from what I can pull off! This new plan is all thanks to some very helpful spies, your big fat mouths, a successful heist pulled off by two of my greatest henchmen…
Bowser retracted his left arm into his shell and had it come out with the Silver Crystal in grasp.
Bowser: And that special crystal that you have been told of.
Usagi gazed at the shining crystal as Bowser held it. She then recognized it as she reacted in shock. Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and the girls were in equal shock as well.
Luigi: The Silver Crystal?!
Bowser: Bingo, Green 'Stache!
Just then, Rei and Makoto turned and stared at Hal and Jeff's faces, observing them as Rei pondered. As she did, she remembered Usagi's description of the crooks that stole the Silver Crystal.
(Flashback to this morning)
Usagi: The first one was an orange-yellow bipedal turtle in green boots, and the other was a sentient brown mushroom.
(Cuts back to what is happening right now)
Rei: Wait… orange-yellow bipedal turtle in green boots… sentient brown mushroom…
Suddenly, Rei's eyes widened as she noticed that Hal and Jeff perfectly matched all the details that Usagi put out.
Rei: Wait… Could you two be the ones who stole the Silver Crystal?!
Hal: That's right! Pretty crafty, huh? *chuckle*
Mario, Luigi, and the Inner Sailor Guardians reacted in complete shock and disbelief. Then, a grimace of sheer anger fell upon their faces.
Tryclyde: Face it, plumber boy. Your luck has run out!
Mario: You will not get away with this, and neither will you, Bowser Jr.! Bowser! Let Princess Peach go right now! If you refuse, I will stomp you, just like I did many times ago.
Bowser: Pah! Like I would listen to you! Well then, I shall bid you farewell!
Bowser's airship fleet flew away as they headed off back to the Darklands, with the captive Princess Peach and the stolen Silver Crystal in their clutches. Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and the Inners watched from below.
Luigi: How are we going to stop them, Mario?
Mario reached into his pocket and took out a Super Leaf.
Mario: It's a good thing I have this!
Mario transformed into Raccoon Mario upon using the Super Leaf on himself. Usagi and the other girls were astonished.
Usagi: Wha-What is this?! I've never seen anything like this before!
Mario: It's called a power-up. Depending on the type of power-up I use, I can achieve different forms. The power-up you saw me use is called a Super Leaf.
Ami: Amazing… it's almost like… magic…
Rei: Magic? Bleh…
Mario: What was that, Rei?
Rei reacted with slight embarrassment.
Rei: Oh, nothing! *chuckle*
Luigi turned to the girls.
Luigi: Rei, we saw Usagi transform while we were dealing with Popple at the mall, remember?
Rei: Yeah. What about it?
Luigi: Are you and the others capable of transforming too?
Rei: *laughing* Of course, we are!
Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi were surprised.
Mario: Well, what are we waiting for? You girls transform now!
The girls nodded as they initiated their transformations.
Usagi: Moon Crystal Power…
Ami: Mercury Star Power…
Rei: Mars Star Power…
Makoto: Jupiter Star Power…
Minako: Venus Star Power…
All: Make Up!
All of the girls transformed into their Sailor Guardian forms. All except for Usagi.
Usagi: Oh no! I forgot I can't transform without the Silver Crystal!
Sailor Mars: Damn….
Sailor Mercury: What do we do now?
Luigi turned to Usagi.
Luigi: Usagi! Stay here, okay? We'll go deal with Bowser's minions.
Usagi nodded as Mario took off to the skies and everyone else left to go deal with Bowser and his army. In the skies above, Bowser stood aboard his airship, a smug smile spread across his face. Just then, he noticed Mario heading towards him.
Bowser: It's Mario!
Bowser then noticed Mario in his Raccoon form.
Bowser: Hmmm… it looks like he's used a Super Leaf. Tch! We'll blast him out of the sky, along with his stupid teammates!
Bowser and his troops looked down at Luigi, Yoshi, and the other Inner Sailor Guardians running towards their ships.
Tryclyde: Don't take chances with them, sire. We should destroy them immediately!
Bowser: KOOPA PACK! BEGIN YOUR ASSAULT!
The Koopa Troop soldiers on their airships loaded their cannons as they prepared to open fire on Mario.
General Bluebolt: Fire!
Koopa #1: Fire!
The airships fired their Bullet Bills at Mario. As Mario kept flying towards the airships, he noticed the barrage of Bullet Bills heading straight towards him. Mario reached for his mallet as he swung at the Bullet Bills, knocking them away.
Koopa #2: Damn it! He took out our Bullet Bills!
Koopa #3: General Bluebolt, what's our next move?
General Bluebolt: Launch the Bomber Bill, now!
Koopas: Yes, sir!
A large Bill Blaster emerged from the hull of one of the airships as it locked into position. A Bomber Bill shot out of the Bill Blaster's barrel as it homed in on Mario. Mario swung his mallet at the Bomber Bill, and with all of his might, he knocked the Bomber Bill away from him, sending it flying into the airship where it was shot from. The Koopa Troopas aboard flew into a panic as the Bomber Bill got closer and closer, until…
KABOOM!
The airship was destroyed within mere seconds as its ruins fell to the ground. Bowser could only watch as a scowl fell upon his face. Luigi, Yoshi, and Sailors Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus arose from the dust clouds as they ran across the fields. Heading in their path were several of Bowser's minions.
As they ran, Luigi hopped onto a nearby Koopa shell as he swatted away at some of the Koopa Troop members with his mallet. Just then, a loud roar sounded nearby. A Reznor had landed right in Luigi's path as it roared and prepared to shoot a fireball at Luigi. Luigi, anticipating what was about to happen, jumped off his Koopa shell as the shell knocked the Reznor off its feet. Luigi landed on Yoshi's back. Luigi then pulled a Dash Pepper out of his pocket and gave it to Yoshi. As Yoshi ate the Dash Pepper, he turned into Dash Yoshi. Dash Yoshi then ran across the fields at high speed, knocking away numerous Koopa Troop members in his path, while the Sailor Guardians used their own attacks against a few other troopers.
Sailor Mercury: Mercury Aqua Mist!
Sailor Mars: Burning Mandala!
Sailor Jupiter: Supreme Thunder!
Sailor Venus: Venus Love-Me Chain!
Within seconds, many of the Koopa Troop soldiers on the battlefield were taken out with ease. Bowser Jr. and the Eight-Bits were outraged at the outcome. They then turned to Mario, hovering right near their airship as the red-clad plumber stared down at them. Unbeknownst to Mario, Bowser fired a fireball straight at him! As Bowser's fireball hit Mario, it caused him to lose his power-up. Mario could only flail around helplessly as he fell from the skies above. Bowser Jr. and the Eight-Bits celebrated in satisfaction as they watched Mario fall. As Mario was about to hit the ground, he turned around as he landed safely on his feet.
Mario: Hey! That's not fair! You're cheating!
Bowser: Ha! You know the old saying: "If you can't play fair, then you'll have to cheat!" Now prepare to be squashed like the insect you are!
As Bowser's Koopa Clown Car flew into view, it flipped over and dropped a Thwomp right above Mario. As the Thwomp kept falling towards Mario at high velocity, it was getting close to squishing him! Just then, Luigi and Yoshi came just in time as they knocked the Thwomp away full force, sending the Thwomp flying into a rock pile.
Luigi: Not today, you big stone slab!
Just then, the Inner Sailor Guardians showed up.
Sailor Venus: Are you alright, Mario?
Mario: Yeah! I'm fine! But the princess is still inside that airship!
Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and the Sailor Guardians turned to Bowser Jr. and the Eight-Bits' airship, where Princess Peach was held captive.
Sailor Jupiter: In there, huh?
Inside the airship, Princess Peach's cage was surrounded by Koopa Troop soldiers. Princess Peach could only stay in the cage helplessly.
Princess Peach: Mario! Please, be careful! Save me!
Outside, Mario stared down at Bowser's airship fleet.
Mario: Just hang on, Princess! We'll get you out of there as long as we can fight! I promise!
Bowser: Bwahahahah! Don't get so confident, Mario! You can't keep your promises forever!
Mario: There's no way we'll let the princess down! I will keep our promise! Now, let her go!
Tryclyde: Big whoop, your loss, plumber boy!
Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and the Sailor Guardians raced towards Bowser's airship fleet, determined to get Princess Peach freed. Bowser Jr. and the Eight-Bits watched from above.
Bowser Jr.: Not if we have anything to say about it!
Bowser Jr., the Koopalings, and the Eight-Bits jumped off their airships as they landed to the ground, preparing to face off against the Mario Bros. and the Sailor Guardians.
Mouser: If you want her back so badly, you'll have to go through all of us!
Mario: Alright, let's-a go!
Mouser started by hurling several Bob-ombs at Mario. One of the Bob-ombs hit Mario with success, while Luigi nearly got hit by an explosion from another one. This gave the Sailor Guardians the signal to make their move as the Koopalings and the other Eight-Bit gang members prepared for battle. Larry got out his racket, Wendy got out her rings, and Lemmy got out his bouncy ball and his bombs, while the other Koopalings got out their wands. The only exception was Iggy.
Larry blasted a fireball into the sky as he lept and swatted it right at Luigi with his racket. Luigi countered by knocking the fireball away with his mallet. On the battlefield, the Sailor Guardians were busy dealing with the other Koopalings and the Eight-Bits.
Sailor Mercury: Mercury Aqua Mist!
Sailor Mars: Burning Mandala!
Sailor Jupiter: Supreme Thunder!
Sailor Venus: Venus Love-Me Chain!
The Koopalings and the Eight-Bits dodged the attacks as quickly as they could. But unfortunately, none of them were fast enough to get out of the crossfire. This made things easier for the Sailor Guardians to handle, as it allowed them to take on each of their enemies one by one. Sailor Mars and Yoshi went for Tryclyde, Ludwig and Wendy, Sailor Mercury went for Fryguy, Lemmy and Clawgrip, Jupiter went for Roy and Morton, and Venus went for Iggy. Sailor Venus swung her chain repeatedly at Iggy as he dodged her attacks.
Iggy: You think you can take me, huh? I will drop you like the rest of your comrades!
Sailor Venus: Your skills are weak, turtle brain!
As Venus continued to attack with her Venus Love-Me Chain, Iggy spun around like a spinning top and came to a halt as he fired a multitude of lasers from his cuffs at Venus, knocking her to the ground.
Sailor Mars: Venus!
Iggy: Aw, don't worry. She'll be fine. My cuff lasers were set to 'Stun'.
Just then, Sailor Venus woke up and got back on her feet.
Iggy: What?! That's… impossible! My cuff lasers should have knocked her out cold by now!
Sailor Venus swung her chain as it wrapped around Iggy like a lasso. Electricity emitted itself from the chain as it electrocuted Iggy. As Iggy was released from the chain's grasp, Venus swung it at Tryclyde and Mouser, stunning them. As Tryclyde and Mouser fainted, Mouser's sunglasses cracked.
Meanwhile, Sailor Mercury was busy dealing with Fryguy, dodging every single one of his moves.
Fryguy: I'm gonna burn you to a crisp!
Fryguy then shot his firebreath towards Mercury, but then Yoshi swallowed the flurry of flames just in time. Mercury then countered with Mercury Aqua Mist as the attack headed straight for Fryguy. Fryguy knew what was going to happen.
Fryguy: Oh no..
As the water from Mercury's attack hit Fryguy, it doused all of the flame surrounding his body. Once all of the fire surrounding Fryguy's body has been extinguished, Fryguy has now been reduced to a steaming sentient piece of rock.
Fryguy: *cough* *groan* Not cool…..
Fryguy tumbled over, defeated. As Sailor Mercury stood before Fryguy, she turned her sudden attention to Clawgrip swinging his claws at her. As Sailor Mercury dodged Fryguy's claws, she stopped and noticed Lemmy pulling some bombs out in his hand. Lemmy threw the bombs one at a time to Clawgrip as the giant crab hurled them at Mercury. While Luigi and Yoshi were helping Jupiter deal with Roy and Morton, Yoshi noticed the flurry of bombs heading straight for Mercury. Yoshi then ran straight to Mercury's aid as he gobbled all of the bombs in a single gulp. As he held it in, his face turned bright orange. Finally, Yoshi unleashed a huge stream of flame at Fryguy and Lemmy, scorching them.
On the other side of the battlefield, Mars, Jupiter and Yoshi were beginning to face a bit of a challenge. Tryclyde fired his fire breath, ice breath, and poison breath at Mars as Yoshi swallowed the attacks. Jupiter on the other hand dodged several Bullet Bills that Roy had fired at her. As she went through the barade manhandled Roy and Morton all on her own. As she tossed them aside, she unleashed her Jupiter Thunderbolt attack on them, electrocuting them.
Just then, Ludwig tucked into his shell and charged straight at Sailor Mars. As he was about to hit her, Yoshi saw what was about to unfold.
Mario: Mars!
Mario ran to Mars' aid as he pushed her away from Ludwig's path and shielded himself as he came into impact with Ludwig's shell. With all his might, he pushed Ludwig away from him as the blue Koopaling came out of his shell and landed on his feet. Mario then proceeded to deliver a punch to Ludwig as he tucked into his shell, shielding him from the blow. Mario punched Ludwig's shell numerous times before he kicked it. As Ludwig exited his shell and came to a halt, Mario charged towards him as he sent him flying with one powerful punch. As Ludwig exited his shell and tried to Flutter Jump, Mario lept high into the air as he sent Ludwig crashing down towards Tryclyde. Now all that was left were Bowser Jr. and Larry.
Luigi turned to his brother, who nodded at him. As Luigi nodded back, he took out his mallet and started charging up. Electricity surrounded the green plumber as he channeled all his energy. As Luigi finished channeling his energy, he launched himself towards Bowser Jr. like a missile as he spun around and kicked Bowser Jr. high into the air and swung his mallet at him, smashing him into the ground. As Larry watched, he pounced at Luigi, about to strike him with his racket. Luigi jumped back as Larry's racket hit the ground. As the dust clouds cleared, Larry looked around. As he turned back, he saw Luigi lunge straight towards him as he swung his hammer at his face, knocking him away.
As Luigi ran towards Larry, the light blue Koopaling tucked into his shell as the green-clad plumber attempted to kick him. Larry then spun around in his shell as he knocked into Luigi. Luigi shielded himself with his hammer as he pushed Larry away with full force. As Larry landed on his feet, he retracted into his shell as Luigi fired a green fireball at him. Larry sped up as he charged at Luigi. Luigi then fired multiple fireballs at Larry. As Larry dodged the fireballs, he sped past Luigi, causing him to spin like a spinning top. As Luigi took out his mallet, he collided with Larry a few times.
Luigi swatted Larry's shell away from him as it sped towards him. Luigi jumped as he dodged Larry and prepared to use his Thunder Hand attack. Seeing Luigi unleash his attack, Sailors Jupiter and Mars joined in.
Sailor Jupiter: Jupiter Thunderbolt!
Sailor Mars: Burning Mandala!
Jupiter and Mars' attacks combined with Luigi's Thunder Hand as they formed into one singular beam of energy. A massive explosion occurred shortly after. As Luigi got up, he saw Larry, standing in the middle of a huge crater, charred and electrocuted. Larry then fell to the ground, unconscious.
Luigi: Now that's why you don't underestimate me! Cause I'm-a Luigi, number one!
Luigi is suddenly interrupted when Bowser Jr. swung his paintbrush at him. Luigi countered by throwing a punch at Junior. As Bowser Jr. attempted to hit Luigi with his paintbrush, Luigi jumped as he kicked Bowser Jr. away. Bowser Jr. then sprinted quickly towards Luigi as he landed on his feet. Bowser Jr. then proceeded to dropkick Luigi to the ground as he swung his paintbrush down on him. But Luigi caught the paintbrush in his hands, and with all his might he lifted Bowser Jr. and slammed him down to the ground.
Sailor Jupiter: That… was insane!
Sailor Mars: Yeah! That was awesome! I didn't think you would carry such immense strength in yourself, Luigi!
Luigi: Oh. Thanks.
Mario: We can chit chat later. We have to rescue Princess Peach.
Everyone else nodded as they ran with Mario towards Bowser's airship. As soon as they reached Bowser, they came to a halt. Bowser then jumped off the deck of the airship as he landed near Mario and his allies. The Koopa King stared down the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Bowser: Foolish Mario! My plan is too far along now! Do you really think you can stop me?! The power of the Silver Crystal is already mine!
Mario: Bowser! If you keep continuing to hold onto your pride, you'll only continue to hurt yourself.
Bowser: You think my pride's hurting myself?! You are DEAD wrong! For years, the Koopa Empire has been living away from the rest of the Mushroom World because we were all monsters… aggressive, chaotic, and grotesque they called us… As civilization grew, many of the monster tribes who joined us were driven away from their lands, seeking refuge in the Koopa Kingdom. As such, the goal for our kingdom to invade the Mushroom Kingdom, me to marry Princess Peach, and annex the kingdom into the Koopa Empire. I tried to use diplomacy, so I went on my own. But when Princess Peach turned me down, it didn't end well. As a result, I ultimately had to resort to invading the Mushroom Kingdom. When you beat me… that's when I became determined not to give up. As we battled each and every time, the results were always the same. No matter how strong I got, no matter what tricks I had used, you've always defeated me… Now you have strength that surpasses the limitations of a normal human, and it's for this reason that I keep losing to you repeatedly!
Mario: It may be the concussion talking… but you almost sound reasonable, Bowser. So that's how you feel… but as you said, I've defeated you countless times, and I can do it again!
Bowser: We'll see! Now, BRING IT ON!
Bowser raised his hand high up in the air as the Silver Crystal disintegrated into his body. A bright aura surrounded his body. Bowser then unleashed a blast of light aura-infused fire from his mouth straight at Mario and his allies.
Mario: Everyone, split up now!
The Mario Bros., Yoshi, and the Sailor Guardians dodged the light energy-infused fireball as they split up and ran towards Bowser. Bowser continued to breathe more fireballs at Mario. Mario then countered by shooting a fireball of his own from his hand. The two fireballs clashed with each other as they unleashed a powerful explosion, unleashing a massive wave of energy. Bowser then pounced towards Mario at such immense force. Mario ducked as he delivered a punch to Bowser's plastron. As Bowser kicked Mario away, Mario landed near Sailors Mercury and Jupiter. As Bowser attempted to pounce again, Sailor Jupiter, Mario and Sailor Mercury jumped away from Bowser.
Sailor Mercury: Shine Aqua Illusion!
The stream of water from Mercury's attack hit Bowser in the face, temporarily hindering his vision. This gave Jupiter the opportunity to run up to Bowser and punch him in the face.
Sailor Jupiter: Sparkling Wide Pressure!
Jupiter's attack delivered a powerful voltage to Bowser's body, electrocuting the Koopa King. However, Bowser was strong enough to withstand the voltage, much to Jupiter's shock. Bowser then swatted Jupiter away as he tucked into his shell and charged straight at Mario. As Mario got rammed by Bowser twice, he was sent flying into the sky. Bowser then spun above Mario as he came out of his shell and ground pounded the red-clad plumber, sending him plummeting downwards at high velocity. As they hit the ground, it released another shockwave of light. Soon after, Mario was lying within a crater left behind from the impact, out cold and somewhat weakened. Bowser gloated as he let out a sinister chuckle. The Sailor Guardians, Luigi and Yoshi were horrified.
Sailor Guardians and Luigi: Mario!
Bowser: Well, Mario. It looks like I win this time!
Mario slowly got up as he looked at Bowser. He then realized that with the Silver Crystal, Bowser has become even more powerful than ever!
Sailor Mars: He's too strong! We'll never be able to defeat him!
Mario: M-maybe we can… if we work together…
As Mario got back on his feet, he panted heavily. Bowser was surprised that his archnemesis never gave up. Then Mario looked at Sailor Mars.
Mario: Mars, you and the others keep him busy!
Sailor Mars nodded at Mario.
Sailor Mars: Burning Mandala!
A flurry of flames were unleashed upon Bowser as the Koopa King shielded his face. As Bowser looked around, Mario ran up to him and kicked him high up in the air. Mario then sent Bowser flying into some nearby terrain. Bowser emerged from the rubble as he blasted another fireball at Mario. This time, Mario caught the fireball in his hand as he twirled it around and tossed it high into the air. As Bowser lunged at Mario, Mario shielded himself as the Koopa King attempted to deliver a powerful punch. Sailor Jupiter jumped in as she also blocked the force of the blow. As Mario and Jupiter looked at each other, they both started beating Bowser together as Mario delivered a powerful blow to Bowser's plastron, sending him flying high up.
Bowser spun in his shell as he dive bombed from the sky, attempting to deliver a punch from above. The force of the blow from Bowser's punch unleashed an energy wave powerful enough to blow Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and the Sailor Guardians away. Mario jumped onto his feet as he leaped towards Bowser and attempted to strike him with a punch. As Bowser blocked the attack, Sailor Jupiter ran up to him as she delivered a powerful kick to the lower area of his plastron. Bowser then punched Jupiter away before turning to the others as he blasted another fireball at them. Yoshi jumped in to swallow the fireball just in time. Bowser then hurled a boulder at Mario and his allies like a bowling ball, hitting them with an intense amount of power.
As the Sailor Guardians, Mario, and Luigi collapsed to the ground. Luigi landed on his feet as he jumped towards Bowser and kicked him in the jaw. Bowser shielded the attack with his arm as he, Mario and Luigi delivered punches and blows at each other. Bowser then grabbed Mario and swatted him away as he ran to Luigi, grabbed him by the face, and slammed him down into the ground. Yoshi spat out his swallowed fireball at Bowser, hindering his vision again. Mario slid under Bowser as he grabbed his tail and spun him around as fast as he could before sending him flying high up into the sky. As Mario lept just as high as Bowser, he delivered a stomp to the Koopa King's face, sending him crashing down into the ground, knocking him unconscious and causing him to drop the Silver Crystal. As the crystal landed near Mario's foot, he picked it up in his hand as Bowser slowly woke up.
Mario: Well, Bowser. It looks like your luck has run out!
Bowser: What? What are you- Wait…. where's the Silver Crystal?!
Bowser noticed that the Silver Crystal wasn't within his hands. As he looked around, he saw Mario holding the crystal in his left hand. Mario then turned to Usagi.
Mario: Usagi! Catch!
Mario tossed the Silver Crystal at Usagi as she caught it in her hands. Now that Usagi has the Silver Crystal back, she can now transform again!
Usagi: Moon Crystal Power, Make Up!
Upon Usagi calling out her command, she transformed into Sailor Moon in the eyes of Bowser and his minions as they watched in awe.
General Bluebolt: I-Is that?...
Bowser: Sailor Moon….
Tryclyde: I don't believe it! Who would've thought this weak and clumsy girl would happen to be the Sailor Guardian of Love and Justice?!
All of the Sailor Guardians including Mario and Luigi unleashed their attacks in a single combination on Bowser. Bowser could only watch in shock as the resulting energy blast headed straight for him. As the blast collided, it unleashed an explosion so powerful that it sent Bowser flying into the air.
Bowser Jr. and Koopalings: Dad!
General Bluebolt, Kamek, and Eight-Bits: Sir!
The explosion was so brilliant that it unleashed a shockwave that shook the entire grassfields. Bowser's airships swayed as the surging wave spread across the area. The shockwaves have disabled the airships' rotors, resulting in many of them falling to the ground. The Koopa Troop members inside the airships stepped out onto the open plains, stunned from the collisions of their airships.
Hal: *groan* My head… What hit me?
As they watched the troopers climb out of their airships, the Koopalings, Bowser Jr., Kamek, General Bluebolt and the Eight-Bits turned to Mario and his allies.
General Bluebolt turned to the troopers.
General Bluebolt: Fall back, Troopas! Retreat, now!
The stunned troopers immediately caught General Bluebolt's words as they obeyed his commands and ran off with him. As they ran, Bowser Jr. turned to Mario and the gang.
Bowser Jr.: You haven't heard the last of us, Mario! This isn't over!
Mario and Luigi ran to Bowser Jr.'s airship as they climbed into the interior. There, Princess Peach was in her cage, unscathed. Mario and Luigi ran over to Princess Peach's cage as they opened it and carefully got Princess Peach out.
Princess Peach: Mario!
Mario: Princess! You're okay!
Mario and Princess Peach embraced each other.
Princess Peach: Oh, Mario. Thank you.
Mario: *chuckle* It's not just me you should thank.
Mario turned to Luigi, Yoshi, and the Sailor Guardians as Princess Peach approached them.
Princess Peach: And thank you too. Luigi, Yoshi, Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus.
Sailor Moon: It was nothing, your highness.
Mario: Come on. Let's-a get back to the castle.
Luigi: Or maybe…
Luigi whispered into Mario's ear. Then Mario had an idea.
Mario: Say, girls? How would you all like to join us for our picnic?
Sailor Moon: Sure!
Sailor Mars: Maybe another time, perhaps? We've had a pretty big battle for today, so I suppose we could use some rest.
Luigi: Yeah, good idea. How about tomorrow?
Sailor Guardians: Yeah!
Mario and company left the ruins of the airship as they packed the picnic supplies and headed back to Princess Peach's castle. But what became of Bowser? We'll have to find out sooner or later…. as the adventure continues!
