Chapter 3: Alfea College for Fairies
Authors note: Alright, time to get to chapter 3. Once again, I will be fusing both part 1 and part 2 together, and making sure it flows well with how the timeline goes. This time, it's the specialist's time to shine, especially Helia.
7:50 am is a dreadful time for those sleeping but have something important to do in the next ten minutes. For some people, time can be managed very easily, but for others, it is an unwinnable battle. Unfortunately, the newly formed Winx Club is currently dealing with time issues, especially for the crown princess of Solaria herself.
"Why didn't anyone tell us we were going to be late?" asked Stella, rushing with her books. She was shoving random things in her backpack and hoping they were the right things.
"We woke you up a full hour beforehand to get ready, but you went into your covers" Mabel explained. "I'm usually the one to do that, and Dipper can vouch for that."
"She becomes a real blanket burrito when she sleeps," Dipper said. "We missed many busses for our Earth schools this way."
"And on the worst day to do so, Stella," added Bloom, still a little tired, but is currently managing it for now. After all, this was the first day she was taking magical classes.
"It's not my fault that I need my beauty sleep," Stella admitted. The eight of them then bolted out of the dorm room as they practically sprinted down the hallway.
"Is your appearance that important that it's going to get us all late?" Dipper asked, running with all his might.
Musa snickers at the thought of a Stella without makeup, which would terrify everyone. "Alright, that's enough, Little Dip," Stella said, causing Mabel to laugh at his new nickname.
"Hehe, Little Dip. That's a good one, Stella," Mabel said while chuckling, as she got an angry look from Dipper.
Through some miracle, they get to the classroom with 5 minutes to spare, but see that their teacher isint here yet. "Where's the professor?" asked Tecna, as the winx sits down in a group of seats close to each other.
"The professor's probably running late. He'll be here soon enough," responded one of the other students.
Soon enough, the leprechaun from the opening speech shows up and starts with his lesson. "Top o' ye mornin' ter ya, everyone! As usual, it befalls ter me ter keck aff de school year. Nigh, for dohs av yer who 'enny met me yet, scon are Professor Wizgiz, yisser teacher av metamorphosis, or as oi prefer ter call it..." Said the new professor, as he changes himself into Miss Griselda. "de art av changin'" He finished up, his voice combined with Griselda's voice. "de way yer look."
Everyone is shocked and impressed with his magic, and they award him with applause. Well, almost everyone.
Dipper and Mabel saw this and they both immediately flashed back to the bunker from the summer. The shapeshifter, the horrors, the double Wendy's, and how Dipper almost killed her by mistake. This was not a day either twin wishes to remember. And this class and what they just saw bring up a lot of those bad memories.
He changes back to normal. "Ah, but that's nathin'! by year's end, you'll chucker better than dat!" He assures his class. "An' since every endin' must 'av a beginnin', let us start wi' a simple exercise."
He then makes hand mirrors appear on every desk, making Dipper and Mabel confused about what's about to happen. "Dis wan shud be so simple, even a wane can chucker it. luk in de mer-rer, luk at yerself, an' tink aboyt changin' de color av yisser 'air."
Dipper takes off his hat as he looks at Mabel, whos also worried to no end. "It's just hair color, right?"
"Yea, bro-bro, just... hair color," Mabel agreed with him, also just as nervous as Dipper. "If Pacifica can dye her hair blonde on an almost daily basis, then how hard can it be?"
Wizgiz noticed the twins were both hesitating in the spell. "What's de matter, you two? Don't know what you want to be?" The green-clad professor asked of them both.
"Well..." Mabel exclaimed. "It's just that we might have had a bad run with a shapeshifter over the summer."
"Can't be dat bad," Wizgiz says, hoping that it's not cold feet.
"I almost killed someone close to me because they took her form," Dipper said coldly.
"Yikes. dat does sound bad. I know it's not best comeng from me, but I wouldn't let wan small t'eng ruin such a big t'eng. Fhr now, how about just focuseng on small t'engs? Somet'eng dat strikes a conversation type av change, like hair and eye colhr," Wizgiz suggested. Dipper and Mabel look at each other and thought this through. They could work out their trauma and out-shapeshift a shapeshifter.
Bloom, however, can't seem to perform the spell. "Don't worry, lass. not everyone can git it on de first try." Wizgiz assures Bloom as they hear a scream from Mabel.
"I DID IT!" Mabel says, with her hair now being in three different colors: purple, green and orange, exactly the same colors and pattern as the tail from her shooting star sweater. Wizgiz is impressed with her work.
"Me ward. tree color's on yisser first try. dis may be early ter say, but oi tink you'll chucker really well in dis corse," Wizgiz praised her as some of the other students clapped for her.
"Well, this totally isn't something we're gonna abuse," Dipper said, already getting ideas on how to master these new powers.
"It is noted that you kind of do need to abuse shapeshifting," Tecna said, now with her hair changed to a bunch of wires and cords.
"I like the fact that the first thing you think of with powers like these is lets prank people," Musa smirked.
Mabel smiles at the praises she's getting but then sees that Bloom is having a little trouble. "Professor, is it OK if I help Bloom out?" Mabel asks the professor. Bloom hears this and perks up, knowing that others are willing to help her when she needs it. She also wishes she can do something in return one day.
After classes were done for the day, the Winx were in their dorm room as Stella and Mabel helped out Bloom with her spells. "No good, I have to keep on trying," Bloom said, not wanting to fall behind after the embarrassment of a class.
"Hmmm... ok, but one more time. School's just starting, Bloom, you'll get the hang of it in no time." Stella assured her friend and turned to Mabel. "By the way, that was really nice what you said back there about helping her out."
"Aw, thanks. Mom and Dad always said to help out whoever we can," she said, prideful of her work. Bloom then giggles at her young friend and concentrates again, but ends up making her bangs stick up like she's been electrocuted.
"This isint what I wanted," Bloom said, horrified with her results as she adjusted her hair back to normal. Mabel holds her laughter in but fails to do so, while Stella starts laughing her butt off.
"Oh stop laughing, girls," Flora said, as she walked in and sat on the bed with them. "She's trying her best."
"They can keep laughing, Flora. If I can't perform a simple spell or transform into a fairy, what use am I to this school?" Bloom said, feeling upset.
The two girls finally calmed down as Flora spoke again. "Honey, you just found your magic basically yesterday. You'll be better at it in time. All you need to do is to practice often." Bloom smiles at that thought and then asks the three of them an important question.
"Mabel and her brother are on the same boat as me, and they already learned how to change their hair colors in class today," Bloom blurred out. "I think I'm a late bloomer." bloom sagged back into her bed and looked at the ceiling. "Girls, why did you come to Alfea? Bloom genuinely asked.
"Well...my parents tricked me and my brother into coming here. But now that I'm here, I may as well make the best of it and learn a few things about magic. But now that i think of it, my new reason is to learn how to become a fairy, head back home, and use my powers to become a superhero." Mabel exclaimed. "Just like the Miraculous Ladybug in Paris. She's a bestie of mine."
"My reason for coming here is so that I can be a real fairy: Successful, beautiful, powerful and to be admired by everyone in the Magix alliance," Stella said, but earned some looks from everyone in the room. "Once I get that, I'll be able to perform some good deeds, like making people happy and bringing together long, lost love...like my parents..."
She then sniffles as Mabel hugs her. "I think you're already a great fairy, Stella. You saved my life and you want your parents to be happy? I don't care what anyone says, you're my favorite fairy in school." Stella hugs her back and thanks her for being a good friend.
"I wanna be a real fairy as well, but I really came here to learn," Flora said, being truthful about the situation.
"Sounds like you and my brother will get along really well then," Mabel responded to Flora's statement, making Stella and Bloom laugh.
"What about you, Bloom? Do you have one?" Said Stella.
Bloom then sighs and looks out the window. "That's the thing, Stella. I have no idea what I'm doing here." As she said that, she was suddenly hugged by Mabel.
"Don't be like that, silly," Mabel said to her. "You got some time to figure it out, but we're here too if you wanna ask questions."
"Mabel's right, Bloom," Flora added. "We have our entire lives ahead of us to figure things out."
In another part of the dorm, Dipper was experimenting with his new magic powers to make things float and turn a pen into a pencil, but it turned into other writing utensils.
"Ugh, damnit," Dipper cursed himself. At that moment, Musa knocked on the open door and came in.
"What's with the damnit, Earth boy?" Musa asked as she saw his hands glowing with magic and the highlighter on his desk turn back into a pencil. "Well, that explains the damnit."
"I don't understand, Musa. I did so well today in class, despite the memories of the bunker from the summer with that awful shapeshifter and how it almost made me kill Wendy and-" Dipper kept rambling and Musa interrupted him
"Alright I get it, you had a weird and traumatizing summer," Musa said as she sat down next to him. "But besides all the trauma, you enjoying being a fairy so far?"
"Musa, I don't even have wings," Dipper complained. "What if I'm not a fairy?"
"Bullshit!" Musa called him out. "The magic you can do, and the fact that Tecna's tech doesn't like means that you are a fairy. But All you need to do is find those wings and you'll be able to fly in no time." At that point, Musa hugged him. "Plus, Fairies don't fly alone. When you get your wings, you're welcome to fly with me anytime."
"Thanks, Musa," Dipper said while hugging her.
"So... Tell me more about this 'Wendy' girl," Musa said, changing the topic to what her new bestie would be excited to talk about.
The Next day, all the students were sitting in the cafeteria, eating breakfast together, but Bloom and Flora were missing.
"Are they late again?" Layla asked the others.
"I heard Flora was training Bloom until super late last night, like far after Mabel and Stella called it a night," Tecna told Layla and the others.
"It's true," Stella added. "Their loud training was cutting into my beauty sleep. And I don't get enough sleep, I'm gonna end up like Griselda the Ghool over there," Stella said as she pointed to Griselda, who was not paying attention to the Winx Club in the slightest.
"Hehe, Griselda the Ghool," Mabel chuckled as she was eating cereal.
Right in the queue, the two sneak in with their breakfast, avoiding Griselda's watchful gazes.
"Is this going to be a thing we do? I don't mind it, personally, but is it a thing we're gonna do?" Asked Dipper, curious at the fact that for the past three days, someone had slept in and was late or almost late getting somewhere on time.
"Just be glad these sleeping beauties made it here without getting spotted," Musa told him. "Personally, I'm surprised Stella wasn't the one to do it this time."
"I heard that, shorty," Stella snarked at her as Musa flipped her off.
Suddenly, the speakers went off and the Headmistress started speaking. "Hello, is this thing on? Oh, it is on." She tested while clearing her throat. "Attention Students of Alfea. As per tradition among the schools of Magix, tonight we will be holding our annual gala to honor the new students. Students attending Alfea and the Red Fountain Academy for Specialists will gather here in our castle to perform the traditional welcome gift exchange ceremony, and a party will follow afterward."
The students started chatting with one another, excited about the news. Griselda claps her hands to get the attention of the other students. "Please, students. Headmistress Faragonda is still speaking. Let's at least try to show some respect to her while she's talking."
"Thank you, Griselda. Oh, one more thing I nearly forgot to mention. We'll need all of you to help us prepare this cafeteria into an elegant ballroom, so classes for today have been canceled," Faragonda finished.
Upon hearing that, Mabel gets up and shouts "Yes" for everyone to hear. Dipper's face palms as Faragonda smiles and Stella gives her a thumbs up.
"Ah, the joys of youth." she nostalgically said to herself, but the microphone was still on, so everyone heard what she said, causing most of the students to giggle.
Meanwhile, in a dark and in another building away from Alfea, was a scary-looking hall room, girls of the Gothic variety were gathered around the various tables, munching on breakfast, as an older woman in a dark red dress with periwinkle sleeve gloves and a tall, white collar walked up to the stage with the news.
"Attention, witches. Headwitchtress Griffin is speaking." said one of the other teachers, announcing Griffin to the rest of the school and hoping everyone paid attention to her.
"Witches of Cloud Tower, I have devastating news to share with you all today. It's that time of year again when the fairies of Alfea and the pretty boys of Red Fountain are having that annual party tonight, and once again, Cloud Tower is exempt from attending," Griffin said while addressing her entire student body. The witches began to boo at the announcement.
"This is ludicrous!" One witch, Lucy, yelled out.
"Witches deserve love, too," Another witch that was sitting next to Lucy, named Mirta, agreed with her.
The witches kept booing as she spoke up again. "I agree with your pleas, my witches, but I'd think of this as a little...test, for all of you. Every witch in this school has the opportunity to crash the party in the worst way possible. The more horrific it is, the better the results. Submit your ideas and may the worst witch win." She finishes her speech and backs away slowly, almost as if she disappeared into the shadows behind her. Suddenly, we see Icy and the 3 other witches she's usually with as they start talking amongst themselves.
"What do you think, Stormy?" said the brunette one. "Do you think we should come up with a scheme?"
"You know what?" said Stormy. "Why not, I got nothing better to do, Darcy."
"What if we pull off this plan and steal the ring thing you guys want from Alfea? Two birds with one stone, as long as we don't hurt anyone," said the younger one.
Icy smiles evilly, chuckles, and says "I knew we recruited you for a reason, Pacifica."
Later that day, at Magix City, the Winx were looking for outfits for the event. "Girls, and Dipper, I want us to look our best for this event," Stella told all her friends as most of them were pretty excited about such an event.
"I don't know why we need new outfits that we'll only be worn once and then never again." Admitted Mabel. "Like I had a dress I wore for a fancy party over the summer, and I had no reason to use it again."
"Can't we wear our normal outfits and be ourselves? That is what a good person looks for in finding a date." Said Dipper, not knowing the pleas of teenage shopping.
"Dipper, honey, appearances are everything when it comes to finding a cute boy, or in your case, a cute girl," Stella said as they were going through dresses for Bloom.
Soon, they got a fine outfit for Bloom, which was a light blue dress with silver and gold linings on it but haven't found anything in the twins' sizes. "It's fine, girls, I'll just go as I am now," Mabel said, not wanting to make their trip in vain.
"I guess I can throw on a bow tie and call it a day for me," Dipper added.
"Nonsense, you two," said Layla. "It is a formal event, so you both have to dress accordingly."
"I have a few outfits back at the rooms they can try on," said Stella, wanting to dress them up in cute dresses. The twins look at each other and prepare for the worst, but agree to let Stella help them out.
Back at Cloud Tower, Griffin was reading the idea submitted by Icy and her group: The Trix. "In all of my years as the headmistress of this fine academy, I've seen some disgusting and nightmarish ideas, but this one takes the cake." Admitted Griffin. "Well done, you four. Great start to the new school year."
Icy smiles evilly and says "We'll perform without fail, headwitchtress. That we promise you."
"But isn't this kind of overkill?" Pacifica said.
"There isn't a kill like overkill, Pacifica," Griffin assured her. "Plus we won't be killing, we'll just be knocking their dress socks off."
At Alfea, the twins were currently experiencing a fate worse than the weirdmageddon and Mabel Land. They were forced to try on dresses from Stella. She was modifying them with her magic so they would fit their smaller bodies. Dipper has a dark blue poofy dress with silver linings and an orange secondary one with dark blue gloves on his hands, clearly embarrassed about the situation. Mabel was wearing a fancy poofy yellow dress with orange, green, and purple highlights in the dress. She also wears purple, green, and orange gloves on her hands.
They can barely breathe due to the size of the waists of the dresses. "Too...tight..." Dipper managed to wheeze out.
"By the dragon, I am so sorry. Let me fix that." She makes their dresses fit perfectly on them with her magic.
"That's a lot better. Thanks, Stella." Mabel said, smiling at Stella.
"Doesn't explain why I have to wear a dress, though," asked Dipper, too embarrassed to even think about this.
Musa came in and started reading something from a piece of paper. "It clearly states here that 'All students of Alfea must be presentable in a dress. No exceptions', so, unfortunately, this has to happen." Dipper covers his face with his hands as Mabel starts taking pictures of him with her phone.
"Remind me that next time we have something like this, that we don't need to do?" Dipper said, not wanting to get used to any of this.
"Ah cheer up, Dipper," Stella said as she tried to make him feel better. "I think I know exactly what you need." Stella started digging into her jewelry box and pulled out a silver crown with blue gems incrusted in it and placed it on his head.
"A crown?" Dipper asked as he felt it on his head.
"Yeup!" Stella said. "Think of this as a... compromise for wearing a dress like that for tonight."
"Yea, you could fool some people by saying you're Prince Dipper from Earth," Musa said, helping out.
"And that makes his sister Princess Mabel," Layla added, making Mabel squeal in excitement.
"I always wanted to be a princess," Mabel said, now vibrating with excitement. Stella just smiled at them, hoping she'd at least turn it around for the two of them.
Meanwhile, in another room, Bloom was trying to fix her dress. "Kiko, buddy, you have to help me find a pair of scissors. I need them for the dress I'm supposed to wear tonight." The bunny nods as he starts to chew on the dress's hem. "I don't think that'll work, Kiko," she said as she got an idea. "Stand back, I have an idea."
Not knowing what's about to happen, he stops chewing and hops back as Bloom's pointer finger starts glowing. She then uses concentrated magic to make a makeshift laser to cut her dress. "Come on, come on..." she said to herself as she heard engines outside. She stops using her laser and goes to the window to see what's going on. "Oh no, Brandon and his squad, plus the Red Fountain guys just arrived, and I'm so far behind." She walks back and leaves the room. "Whenever you really need something, you can never find it, am I right, Kiko?" The bunny nods in response, but in actuality, does not know what she means.
Outside Cloud Tower, Headwitchtress Griffin was with a bunch of her witches and a few of her staff members as they were all ready to go.
"Gather up everything, witches. I wanna make sure this is perfect," Griffin ordered as the witches were doing their best with the materials they were loading onto a hover bus. Icy, Darcy, and Stormy were checking to make sure their stuff was perfect, while Pacifica walked up to Griffin.
"I don't understand why we're taking a bus without wheels over to Alfea. Can't we just teleport this over there? Or take the secret tunnel that connects the 3 schools together?" Pacifica asked as Griffin answered her.
"Because, Pacifica, if we used our magic to transport our ingredients over, then the fairies at Alfea could sense this and the surprise would be ruined," Griffin explained to her newest student. "Witches and Fairies can always tell when things are about to down, and most of the time, Specialists are there to clean it up."
"Like a rock-paper-scissors type of deal?" Pacifica said.
"Exactly," Griffin praised her. As she did that, Lucy looked over at them and loaded a box to the other back of the bus where Icy was.
"I don't understand, Icy," Lucy asked her. "Why is the Headwitchstress so interested in the new student? She's asking so many questions about everything, and she's 3 years younger than the rest of us."
"You'd act that way too if you found out why she's really here," Icy answered. Lucy heard how Icy talked about Pacifica and worried that something deep was going on with her.
"You think she's gonna be ok here?" Lucy asked Icy.
"I hope so," Icy said as, like a flip of a switch, spoke differently. "Now get loading! We're gonna be late for the scheme."
"Okay okay," Lucy said, noticing a glow in Icy's eyes when she said the later thing. She shrugged it off, thinking it was nothing.
Bloom, desperate to find scissors, was looking through the hallways of Alfea. "Maybe there's a storage room here." She wondered to herself as she opened up a door, but ended up hearing witches from outside Alfea's walls.
"Place the smoke machines on the right and make sure the sound devices are in place," Darcy said as she ordered a few witches to do what she said. "And are you sure they're supposed to go here?
"Don't ask me. You're the one with the map, Darcy." One of the witches, unfamiliar to Bloom, said to Darcy.
"I recognize one of those voices." thought Bloom, before she quickly left without being seen. Bloom started rushing to the main area where the party was, hoping to warn someone about what was about to transpire. "I just hope I'm not too late to stop this."
Down in the main hall, the entire place has been changed. A large empty area in the middle for dancing, some complimentary food and drinks off to the side, Tables with chairs so people can sit down and chat with friends, both from the same place or making connections with other places, and lovely decorations on the walls and ceilings. The Winx Club, save for Bloom, entered the place and saw the Specialists from Red Fountain were already talking to the other fairies from Alfea.
"Thank god I'm wearing my own shoes under this dress," Dipper said, walking with the rest of them. "I don't think I could have survived the night if I had heals on."
"You and me both," Mabel agreed with him as Griselda saw them arriving.
"You're late," Griselda said to them.
"Don't remind us," Musa snarked. "Stella and Flora couldn't find good jewelry to wear."
"It's not my fault we want to make a good impression," Stella said back to her. "Especially when my boyfriend Sky is gonna be here."
"Just don't make a scene," Griselda said as she saw Dipper's outfit. "Are you ok wearing that?"
"It doesn't matter what I think. I'm just following the rules," Dipper said as Tecna pulled out a piece of paper from her motherboard-themed purse.
"'All students of Alfea must be presentable in a dress. No exceptions'. These were your words, were they not?" Tecna read the paper to Griselda. Griselda got a bit angry but calmed down.
"I hate it when people use my own words against me," Griselda said. "But next time we do have a party, I could wave the dress code for his sake."
"Thank you, Miss Griselda," Dipper happily told her.
"Just don't let get it to your head," Griselda said, defeated. The 7 of them walked into the party room as they heard the music playing Musa cringed at it.
"Eugh, classical," Musa said. "My least favorite musical genre."
"At the very least, this party could use some dubstep," Tecna said, agreeing with her short musical friend.
"Where is he?" Stella said as she was scouting around for her boyfriend. As she did that, an older man wearing a white and gold robe with a golden staff was walking up to Faragonda, and a Specialist with long black hair was walking with him.
"Grandfather, please. I don't want you to make a scene here, especially with Grandmother Faragonda," the Specialist said.
"Don't worry about a thing, Helia," his grandfather said. "I know how sacred these gatherings can get."
"Unlike Grandmother Griffin with her school's annual entries," Helia said back to him.
"At least her entries have taste," he said as Faragonda saw the two of them and her look went from joyful to business.
"Headmaster Saladin," Faragonda said, not caring for the old man.
"Headmistress Faragonda. It's been a while since we last spoke," Saladin said as he responded. "You remember our grandson Helia, right?"
"Why of course!" Faragonda said as she smiled back up. "It's been a long time."
"Hello, Grandmother," Helia said as he got hugged.
"Are you doing well over there? Made good friends, doing well in your studies?" Faragonda asked him.
"I have been, grandmother," Helia said as they both let go. "I actually performed a rescue mission on my first day with my squad to save Princess Stella Straffi and her Earthling friend."
"Oh, you mean Bloom Peters!" Faragonda said. "She should be at the party shortly, but I do hope you enjoy your time here."
"I will try to," Helia said as he walked away. "Just don't kill each other while I am gone." Faragonda waved at him until he left.
"He's grown to be such a respectable young man," Faragonda said as she smiled, but her smile went away. "Unlike a certain ex-husband who let my world die."
"It wasn't me, it was those damn evil beings that killed Domino and our granddaughter," Saladin snapped back at her.
"Excuses, excuses," Faragonda huffed. "You know our daughter still blames herself for what happened."
As Helia walked away, he tried finding members of his own squad to mingle with but remembered that this party is supposed to be towards mingling with other schools. As he remembered that, he saw Flora and Mabel chatting at a table. He then walked up to them.
"Excuse me, but are any of these seats taken," Helia asked.
"Not at all," Flora said as she gestured to the seat next to her. He then sat down next to her. "I'm Flora. What's your name?"
"I am Helia Sparks, from Red Fountain, as you might have guessed from my uniform," Helia introduced himself.
"Sparks?! As in the royal family of Domino Sparks?" Flora gasped as she understood what he meant. Mabel almost spat out her drink when she mentioned Domino.
"Domino, like the little tiles people play games with?" Mabel asked, trying to make sure she didn't know what they were talking about.
"Domino was a world lost to the forces of pure evil. It was considered the most beautiful and powerful of all the worlds, and housed a family that can harness the fires of creation itself: The Dragon's Flame," Helia explained to her.
"Forgive her, Helia," Flora said, defending Mabel. "Mabel's from Earth, and earthlings don't exactly have knowledge of the Magix alliance."
"It's quite all right," Helia said, understanding Mabel's situation. After that, the three of them talked for a little bit when Flora and Helia started really bonding, and Mabel noticed this bond all too well.
"Time for operation Flolia to begin," Mabel thought to herself.
Outside Alfea, another group of witches did what they needed to do.
"Here it is, fellow witches," whispered Pacifica. "The final spot to plant our plan."
"Soon, we'll give those fairies and specialists a good show," Mirta said, snickering. As she did that, Icy, Darcy, and Stormy, alongside the witches paired with them, came back to the front of the main doors.
"We're all done," Stormy said.
"Good on our end," Darcy said as well.
"Let's blow this stand," Icy said, as all the witches snicker at once.
"You may fire when ready," Griffin said as she pointed to the gate.
Bloom saw all of this from the window and tried hurrying even more. "I have to find the rest of the Winx Club. They'll help me stop this scheme,." Bloom declared to herself, willing to save the day by helping her fellow fairies, even if she herself still hadn't found her own wings yet.
Hurrying along back to the party room, Bloom was worried about what the witches had planned for them. "The rest of the Winx may know how to stop the witch's plan, or else something bad might happen to them," she told herself as she accidentally bumped into a Red Fountain student. This student, however, is familiar to the young fairy as he's one of the ones who rescued Bloom on Earth from that ogre.
"Ow..." she told herself as she saw him. "Oh my god, Brandon, I am so sorry," she said as she tried to make him feel better.
Brandon responded "I've faced worse hits than that, Bloom. But are you OK?"
"I'll be fine, Brandon." she said, getting lost in his eyes." She then remembers what she was doing. "I'm sorry, Brandon, but I have to get going. Witches are here." She said, alarming Brandon.
"WITCHES?! There are witches here?" Brandon practically shouted as he joined her.
"They're surrounding the school with various boxes of stuff," Bloom said as she explained it to him. "We gotta head down before it's too late.
Back in the main hall, Dipper sat down in a chair at a table and sighed. It was hard for him to talk to people. The fairies were jealous of his dress and weren't taking him seriously, and the specialists started mocking him.
"I should have taken the risk with the bowtie," Dipper told himself. "Plus I can pull it off. Like the party at the shack early in the summer."
"Don't forget about the karaoke with the zombies," a female voice said to Dipper.
"And how could I forget about the karaoke with the-" Dipper began as he realized that it wasn't Mabel talking to him, but another voice. Dipper turned his head and saw Wendy, in the Pinetree cap, wearing a specialist uniform.
"Sup?" Wendy said, waving at him. At that point, Dipper's face became redder than Wendy's hair.
"WENDY?!" Dipper yelled out as he almost fell out of the chair. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"
"I'm here for the party. Cute dress, by the way," Wendy said, complimenting his dress as she sat next to him.
"No, I meant like what are you doing here, on Magix?" Dipper asked Wendy as he saw her in a specialist uniform. "And at Red Fountain, of all places."
"Oh Yeah, Dad found out about some stuff I did over the summer, so he just shipped me off to Red Foundation. Turns out he actually came here when he was around my age, which explains a lot, actually," Wendy explained to Dipper as he paid attention.
"Manily Dan as a specialist? Somehow that doesn't surprise me," Dipper responded.
"But not as surprising finding out you're a fairy," Wendy said, playfully nudging him. "What the hell, man? Fairy magic would have come in handy during the weirdmageddon."
"Oh yeah, that. Mom and Dad kept all of this a secret, and they said that our powers would awaken on our 13th birthday. Once that happened, they just... dropped us off here," Dipper explained.
"Oh cool, Mabel's a fairy, too?" Wendy said, excitedly. Despite the fact, that it's been a few days since Dipper and Mabel's 13th birthday, she missed those two dearly. As they talked, Bloom and Brandon came towards them, and Bloom was out of breath from all the running. "Brandon? Bloom?! What's going on?"
"You know Bloom?" Dipper asked, worried about what was going on.
"Long story, I'll explain later," Wendy said as she looked at Bloom. "You good, girl?"
"No...," Bloom said as she was wheezing between breaths. She then waves for her friends, both fairies and specialists to come over to her.
"Oh Bloom, there you are," said Layla, who was also concerned for her friend.
"And where is your dress?" asked Stella. "Do you know how long it took me to find a good dress for you?
"If I have to be in one, then you have to as well," Dipper said, embarrassed as he was interrupted from talking to Wendy while catching up with what's been going on for the past few days.
"No time to explain, girls, but the four witches are here," Bloom whispered to her friends. "And they brought a lot of their witchy friends along."
"The witches? what did they do this time?" Flora asked quietly so the people around them wouldn't hear. At that moment, the lights shut off, and ominous rock music started playing.
"Is that... AC/DC?" Wendy asked as she heard the music as smoke started pouring into the hall, and the two giant doors swung open, revealing a ton of shadows.
"Right on time," Faragonda and Saladin said to themselves at the same time, unknowingly. As that happened, witches started flying all over the room and started scaring the crap out of all the fairies, witches, and staff from both schools. As all of that was happening, the lights turned on to reveal Griffin in the doorframe.
"Once again, you failed to invite us over, and once again, we crashed the party," Griffin announced to her audience and then smiled. "And I wouldn't change this for the universe."
"We're too late," Brandon said as Saladin walked over to them.
"Do not worry, students," Saladin told them all. "This is just their way of saying hello."
"So... we're not gonna get used for target practice," Bloom asked herself. "This was all part of a prank?"
"Indeed it is, young fairy," Griffin said, seemingly listening in due to her powers, as she walked over. "Nothing malicious about us, as long as you provide the right foods for the party. I do understand your concern with what you might have heard, but I must thank you for not ruining the surprise."
"Good to see you again, Grandmother Griffin," Helia said as she gave his grandmother a hug.
"Helia, my pretty," Griffin said as she hugged him. "It's been far too long."
As the groups were relieved from the false alarm, Griselda walked up to Bloom while poking her back, getting her attention.
"Excuse me, Miss Peters," Griselda said to Bloom. "There is a dress code for this event, and you are not meeting that code."
As Bloom was about to answer, Stella stopped her from speaking. "Don't you worry about that frowny face of yours, Miss G. She just wanted to say hi to the boys and witches before getting properly dressed for the party," Stella said for Bloom. As Bloom was about to answer, the rest of the Winx Club agreed and took her upstairs.
"Oh, Dipper and Mabel, Faragonda says she has a message for the two of you," Griselda said. "She says you two are free to change back to your normal outfits but do be proper. We have guests, after all."
"Thank you," Dipper basically praised Griselda for the message as he turned his head to Wendy. "Sorry, but I'll be back in a bit. The whole club's gotta help out one of our own."
"No worries, man," Wendy said to him.
"But do be back soon before all the witches eat all the food," Sky said, gesturing to the arrival of the witches at the party.
On another side of the party, near the free food, the four Trix witches were watching from a distance and were pissed with what happened. Icy was furious that her plan failed as her eyes glowed a light cyan color and froze her plastic cup on accident, that's how pissed she was.
"Looks like the trick didn't work," said Pacifica, sipping on her punch
"Don't worry, my little metallic witch. In the end, I always get what I want." Icy declared as she cackled, having a plan in mind.
Roughly ten minutes later, Bloom was back in her room, this time with the rest of the club coming to help her with her dress. "Thanks for helping me with the dress, guys. It means a lot to me that you all had to cover my butt again," Bloom said.
"Of course, bestie," Stella said, helping Bloom with her dress with Mabel. "And Mabel, I never knew you had an eye for this stuff, too."
"I don't know alot about dresses, but I am good with sweaters. They're kind of like the same thing," Mabel declared as Stella nodded at her.
"Anything to get me away from the party." Said Dipper, finally back in the clothes he likes wearing, plus the added black bowtie. "Thank goodness I didn't wear any makeup, though."
"I wanted to see my bro-bro with a little blush on his cheeks," Mabel said, which caused Kiko to start laughing at him with the thought of makeup which caused Dipper to throw a pillow at the bunny.
"I don't see you out there, bunny," Dipper said.
Bloom smiles at the fact that they're all getting along so well as they hear a jingle from Stella's room. "That sounds like Stella's jewelry box." Said Bloom, stating the obvious. They go over and see it floating away from the room. The eight of them chase it down the hallway and outside the school. Suddenly, the box opens and reveals Stella's ring, and both objects float away together.
"Isint that Stella's prized ring?" Said Dipper.
"MY RING! MY BOX!" Stella yelped out.
"We have to catch it," Mabel declared as the others silently agreed with her.
They try to catch it multiple times and Bloom finally catches it. "I got it." She declared.
Suddenly, they hear a slow clap coming from another direction. As they look around, they see Icy, Darcy and Stormy. "You again?" Darcy said, angrily.
"How many times do we have to teach you the lesson that it's not ok to fuck with a witch?" Said Stormy.
Pacifica floats out and sees the twins as they look back. "DIPPER?! MABEL?!" She shouted, surprised at who she is seeing.
"PACIFICA?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" They both shouted back in unison, wondering how their friend got caught up with the witches.
"Wait, you know her?" Stella asked the twins.
"For Dragon's sake, who else do you two know is gonna show up here," Musa said, clearly frustrated with all of these surprises.
"I'm here to get the ring for my new sisters here, and to seek revenge on my parents for almost leaving me to die in the woods. They saved me, so I owe myself to help them," Pacifica explained, hoping she'd show some mercy.
"Pacifica, please, we can work it out. Come with us," Mabel begged. "We can talk about magic, maybe see a few more things that can help out."
"Look, Pacifica, I might have said that you are the worst in your face, but you're not," Dipper joined, hoping to help his friend. "But right now, you're not being the best, so please. Let's just talk."
"Dipper, Mabel, thank's for your concern, but I'm sorry. The Trix have shown and promised me powers I've only dreamed of, and with it, my parents will pay dearly for what they've done to me. They left me to die," Pacifica said with regret in her voice as she blasted her magic at the fairy group, causing them to jump out of the way. Upon doing so, Icy freezes the ground below them, causing them to slip as soon as they land.
Stormy then uses her magic to cast twisters around them, causing them to collide with each other.
"Ow!" exclaimed Flora.
"Gimme back my ring, you pricks," Stella yelled at the Trix.
"Give it up, fairies. No real friends to protect you this time," said Darcy.
"Pacifica, would you do the honors?" Said Icy, as Pacifica stepped forward.
"PACIFICA, PLEASE, DON'T BE SO COLD. WE'RE FRIENDS, ARNT WE?" Mabel said with tears in her eyes. She doesn't respond as the 4 of them charge up their magic, but the twins and Bloom feel something strange inside of them while protecting themselves and trying to get Pacifica to see the light. With a flash of light, all 8 of them transformed into fairies. 5 of them normally, but to the 3 from Earth, this would be their first time transformed.
Mabel ends up getting a yellow sleeveless dress with a brown belt, orange elbow-length gloves, and a pair of mismatched boots. The left boot was green with a butterfly on it, and the right boot was purple with a butterfly on it. She also sported a yellow headband on top of her head, and a pair of rounded fairy wings on her back. Dipper was sporting a blue bodysuit with a sparkly blue crop top and dress over top of it. He also sported a pair of blue and orange boots on his suit, a silver tiara on his head with a pine tree-shaped sapphire on it, and a pair of blue fairy wings on his back. Bloom gets a cyan crop top and knee-length combo, sporting matching cyan elbow-length fingerless gloves, boots, and a belt. All of which sported a dragon scale pattern. She also gets a gold tiara with a cyan gem in it, and a pair of cyan fairy wings on her back.
"What happened?" Asked Mabel as she saw that Dipper, Bloom, and herself finally transformed. "OH MY GOD! WE DID IT!" She said, jumping up and down with glee as Dipper felt even more embarrassed about still being in a skirt.
"I always knew you could do it, Mabel," Flora praised her.
"Wearing a dress for a party is fine, but this... this is ridiculous," Dipper complained as he looked at himself. "But I do like this bodysuit, though. Kind of makes me feel tough."
"I see you took some inspiration from me, little dip," Tecna said, ruffling his hair but making sure not to knock off his tiara.
"Looks like we're evenly matched, Icy," Bloom rightfully gloats at Icy. Icy gets pissed as Pacifica tries not to smile at her friends transforming with their new fairy friends, trying not to show emotion, but fails spectacularly.
"You may have transformed, fairies, but we have the advantage in magic. Stormy?" Stormy nods as she casts an illusion spell at them, making them dizzy.
"My head...is this what it's like to be drunk?" Mabel said to herself.
"Says the girl who ate, and I quote, 'bleventeen' packets of Smile Dip," Dipper teased his sister.
"Point taken," said Mabel, remembering the Smile Dip.
"As much as I like watching you two squabble, we have a fight to do," Musa said to them.
"And this time, the entire Winx Club is fighting together," Stella proudly said. "So let's do it right!"
"Right after we figure out how to deal with this spell," Layla said, getting a bit dizzy. "Because this is starting to make me hurl."
"Wait a second... girls, I think I have an idea." Said Bloom as the twins nodded at her idea and flew above the Trix. "Illusion spells only work on ground level, witches." Said Bloom, further angering the witches.
They get so bad that they start blasting the fairies randomly, dodging them at all attempts. "I have to hand it to this new form's new omnidirectional flight capabilities, Mabel. This is kind of fun," Dipper said, happily, forgetting the fact that he was cross-dressing.
"Flying around and making witches mad is fun. But I do wanna speak with Pacifica sometime about all of this," Mabel said, sad about her closest real-life friend being a witch. Mabel then realized she was flying and looked down by mistake, clinging herself to Stella. "Nope, Nope, not feeling it anymore."
"Stick with me, and let's cast some spells," Stella said as she assured Mabel. "Follow my lead. SUNBEAM!" Stella blasted Stormy as Mabel got the gist of it.
"MABEL BEAM!" Mabel shouted as she blasted Stormy as well as she got pushed back. "HEY, I DID IT!"
Suddenly, Bloom gets hit and falls into a shrub. "BLOOM!" The twins and Stella shout fly down and try to see if she's ok. Darcy grabs the case that the ring is in while everyone is distracted.
"I got the ring, sisters. Now let's get out of here." With that, Icy teleported herself and the other Trix back to Cloud Tower.
The Winx Club, still in pain from that fight, landed and transformed back to normal. "Bloom, Dipper, Mabel. Are the three of you ok?" Asked Flora.
"We'll be fine, girls, now that we've unlocked our transformations, the eight of us should be able to handle anything life throws at us." Bloom declared.
"It's too bad they took the ring." Said Mabel, upset that they all failed.
"You mean... This ring?" Stella said while pulling out her ring from her purse, shocking the rest of the group.
"How did you... then what did you put inside the box?" Asked Mabel, surprised at the whole thing.
"Remember when Dipper and I went into Stella's room to grab some stuff that she asked for?" said Flora, proud of her and Dipper's plan.
"ALL OF THAT JUST FOR A DRAGON DAMN EGG?!"
The Trix's dorm room in Cloud Tower shook with that statement proclaimed by Icy, who was furious at Bloom and the Winx Club.
"Well, Dipper and Mabel are the craftiest people I knew." Said Pacifica.
"Maybe it's inside the egg, sister." Suggested Darcy as the egg starts hatching, revealing a cute purple baby duckling. Pacifica smiles at him.
"I think I'll call you... Pepe," Pacifica said, naming the duckling. Icy just tosses it away and Pacifica catches the poor duckling. The duck, confused at what's going on, cuddles with Pacifica, proclaiming the witch of metal as his mother. At that point, Icy, Darcy, and Stormy started glowing with various colors matching their outfits. They know what this means, and they are terrified.
"Pacifica... can you please take the duckling back to your room and don't come out for the night, please?" Icy asked Pacifica in a scared tone, one she had not heard from her before. Scared, Pacifica followed orders and went into her room, but left the door open a crack so she could eavesdrop. At that moment, the 3 others had weird spirits painfully coming out of their bodies as they formed older witches, ones usually found in Earth media. Pacifica and Pepe see this and are visibly terrified at what they're both witnessing.
"You three brats had just ONE JOB! STEAL THE STAFF OF SOLARIA!" The cyan witch ghost connected to Icy roared.
"It wasn't my fault, I swear," Icy pleaded with the ghost. "You gotta believe me, Ancestor Belladonna."
"Oh excuses, excuses," the purple witch ghost connected to Darcy said. "When will your generation learn that you need to take accountability for things... LIKE LOSING THE RING OF SOLARIA!"
"Please, Ancestor Liliss, Icy speaks the truth. There were 8 fairies that bested us tonight. Heck, two of them even knew Pacifica, and-" Darcy tried speaking as she got rudely interrupted.
"YOU MEAN THAT PARACITE IS STILL WITH YOU?" The magenta witch ghost connected to Stormy shouted at the top of her lungs. "THERE ARE ONLY 5 BEINGS WORTHY OF POWER IN THIS UNIVERSE! The 3 witches who harness chaos itself, the grand wizard who controls those that can't be controlled, and our lord and savior. There is no room for a fourth dragon-damned witch!"
"With all due respect, Ancestor Tharma, please don't speak like that towards Pacifica," Stormy pleaded and defended Pacifica. "She was badly hurt on Earth and would have died without our help. What would you have us done instead?"
"YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT HER TO DIE!" All three ancestors roared at the same time.
"Pacifica Northwest has just as much right to be a witch as any of us," Icy said, standing up to her ancestor. "If she goes, we all go."
The ancestral witches murmur among themselves and came to a conclusion.
"Fine, she can stay... for now," Belladonna grunted at the Trix.
"She stays for good," Icy demanded as the ancestral witches were sucked back into their bodies. Pacifica, overhearing everything, was trying to calm herself down and figure out who or what those ghosts were that were seemingly controlling the Trix. But she decided she'd do it when she's not so tired.
A few minutes later at Alfea, after the eight of them finish with Bloom's dress, walk back down and see that everyone is still there and having fun. As the Winx Club reunited with their specialist friends, Bloom walked up to Brandon and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hey, Brandon. I know it's kind of late, but would you be willing to dance with me?" Bloom asked as Brandon gently held her hands.
"Of course, my dear Bloom," Brandon said as they both went to the middle of the dance floor and started dancing. Joining them is Stella and Sky, and Flora and Helia are dancing as well.
Dipper looked at Wendy as the dancers went to the floor. "Hey, I would ask to dance, but I don't know how to. So... what do you say you and I explore Magix City this weekend?"
"Sounds like fun," Wendy agrees as she gives him a smile. "It's a date."
As they were talking, Mabel, Musa, and Layla also saw Tecna talk mechanics with another Specialist, Timmy, as they were really getting along. Mabel sees Layla sighing and Musa grunting.
"Hey, don't let the rest of them get us down," Mabel said, trying to cheer them up. "Let the dates have their dates. That just means the three of us can have a girl's night together. We can hang out, watch movies, check homework, and maybe do each other's makeup."
"That does sound like a lot of fun," Layla said, smiling at Mabel's optimistic idea. "I never had a girl's night before."
"Fuck it, I'm down," Musa agreed with Layla. "We should be allowed to hang out as basically everyone else has dates."
"That's the spirit," Mabel said, bonding with the two of them. As they agreed, they all had an incredible night at the party, despite a bumpy start.
