Chapter 8: Friends in Need
Authors note: Chapter 8 is here! This would bring a new era into the story alongside a nice surprise for those who read this far.
After a long educational day at Alfea featuring potions, general education, magical defense, and flight, The Winx Club was all set to try to relax for the day back in their dorm. A night they can relax, wind down, and maybe do some group bonding activities like a movie night.
"Ugh, that was exhausting," Dipper said as he tried to carry his backpack, but was exhausted. "Who knew there were so many ways to punch something?"
"Hey, maybe when we're on Christmas break, we should call Grunkle Stan and ask him for some lessons," Mabel suggested. "I'm pretty sure he'd love to teach you that punch he did. You know, the punch that killed Bill."
"I could even call it the 'trigonometry triumph'," Dipper suggested. Mabel could only chuckle at the thought of Dipper yelling that out when punching a foe in the face. As they both chuckled at the thought, Stella tried squeezing her way into the conversation.
"Or-or maybe, you can have the 'fireball fist," Stella said, but with no response from either of them. And who can blame them for what happened last night? Stella was hurt by the fact they were ignoring her. Flora heads up to Stella and puts her arm around her shoulder.
"They're still pretty upset that they got their magic taken away last night," Flora told Stella.
"And I don't blame them," Bloom added on. "This is supposed to be a brand new experience for them, like me with my magic. And you did kind of take it away from them."
"You took it away from all of us," Musa said, still angry with her but at least on speaking terms. "Which means either you're gonna get their powers back yourself."
"Or you need to say sorry to them," Layla added. "A deep from the heart apology that's sincere."
"And you bettet do it fast," Tecna wanred her. "The longer the issues exist, the worse it will be."
As the Winx Club got up and left their self-defense class, Griselda, who just so happened to be the professor of the self-defense class, halted them all.
"And where do you eight think you're going?" Griselda scolded them.
"Back to our room to study and relax," Dipper said. "It's been a long day, after all."
"And order a crap ton of candy," Mabel added. "It's Halloween back on Earth, and there's lots of spooky candy to enjoy. So we might swing by a store and buy some when they go for cheap."
"Oh crap, today's Halloween?" Bloom said, completly forgetting about the date. "I could sneak back to Earth, go as my fairy form at a party, and vibe out. But I think that might have to wait until next year."
"You will do no such thing, especially with such a backward Earth holiday," Griselda said, denying them. "You still have more punishments to endure."
"Oh come on!" Stella pleaded. "Dipper and Mabel are giving me the silent treatment, Musa's been giving me glares all day, and you wanna pile more of this up? Have you no shame?"
"Not even close. That's something the lot of you need to work out on your own time," Griselda said as she led them all to her office. "Your intrusion into Cloud Tower was extremely rude, young ladies. You exposed yourselves to great danger, that's the reason why your powers have been revoked. It's a sufficient punishment, but for me, 'sufficient' is not enough. Now, just so you remember this lesson, you will spend the entire rest of the day cleaning Alfea from top to bottom."
"Wait, clean the entire school?" Flora said, horrified at the thought.
"Of course not. Just the stairs, corridors, classrooms, and bathrooms," Griselda listed out.
"Well this is going to be a long day," Musa said, already dreading it.
"And since none of you have your magic at the moment, you'll need to clean the school the old-fashioned way," Griselda said as she concurred up some cleaning supplies out of thin air for the fairies to use. Brooms, mops, dust pans, buckets, the works.
"I've never seen such primitive tools before," Tecna said as she opened up her arm computer. "I need to see how these work." As she did, Griselda was annoyed at what she was seeing when Dipper stopped her.
"You said no magic, but technology is fair game," Dipper reminded Griselda as she grunted in defeat.
"Fine, I'll let you all use technology, as long as it's for cleaning," Griselda said, compromising. "None of that texting or any of that nonsense."
"Much obliged," Tecna said, thanking her as she turned to face Dipper. "And thank you for having my back."
"Now, I'll be inspecting all the places you've cleaned over the weekend, and I expect nothing less than perfection," Griselda ordered them. "Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, Miss Griselda," the Winx Club said in defeat, wanting to end this.
"Now get to work!" Griselda ordered them.
After much debating among themselves, The Winx Club decided that the first place they should clean up is the Main Hall of Alfea, the same place they did when doing the start of the year party between Red Fountain and Cloud Tower. Dipper, Mabel, and Bloom were already working on cleaning up the main hall, but the other five were confused about how any of the cleaning tools worked. Bloom could see that Stella was trying to sweep up with the opposite end. Mabel poked Dipper as she showed him what was going on.
"Looks like she just blew in from stupid town," Mabel whispered to Dipper as they both laughed. Stella was hurt and confused about what they meant as Bloom flipped Stella's broom right-side-up.
"How long do you think this is gonna happen?" Stella asked Bloom.
"It depends on if we buckle down and get this done," Bloom said, pointing to the hard work already happening, mostly thanks to the twins.
"No, I mean how long do you think they're gonna stay mad at me?" Stella corrected Bloom.
"Do you want to say sorry to them?" Bloom asked her. "Because I can help lead into it for you." Bloom was hugged by Stella.
"You're a true friend, Bloom Peters," Stella said as she let go and walked over to Dipper and Mabel. "Hey. I just wanna say sorry for being the cause of all of our powers being taken from us and forced to do all this stuff on your 'Halloween' holiday. And yeah, you do have a right to be mad, but please don't. I never wanted this to happen."
Dipper and Mabel listen to Stella's apology as she says it, but they do not say anything to her. While they knew she meant her words, they weren't ready to accept it just yet. Stella sees this and is upset at the results. Flora strolled to Stella to help out.
"I'm sure they just need time, Stella," Flora said to Stella, who understood her. As this was happening, Tecna was trying to 'dust' off a painting with a mop, which caused it to be smeared. Annoyed, Tecna tried even harder as it fell on the floor and shattered.
"Whoops," Tecna only said as snickers surrounded the group.
"This is going to be a long day; I just know it," Musa said, becoming more annoyed at what was going on.
"But if we keep at it, we'll all get it done by late tonight," Mabel assured them. "When the eight of us put our minds to it, we can do anything." Stella smiled when she said the eight of them together.
"See? Slow and steady, Stella," Flora said assuring Stella things would be alright. Stella smiled back at Flora, knowing she was right and the fractured friendship was starting to heal between them and the twins.
Meanwhile, at Cloud Tower, the Trix were in their dorm room after they finished a long day of classes themselves. After relaxing and doing some classwork for about an hour or so, they were prepared for their big night at Alfea. Last night, their room was raided by the Winx Club in search of the Staff of Solaria and was stolen back by them. And being the witches that they are, they plan to get some payback by going to Alfea.
"Is everything ready for tonight's Alfea Ambush, sisters?" Icy said as she got her stuff in her bag. "Darcy, did you bring the books?"
"Loud and clear, sister," Darcy said as she packed the books they needed for their revenge.
"And what about you, Stormy?" Icy asked her storm-based witch sister.
"Ready to kick some fairy butt," Stormy said as she brought the necessary hexes and tools.
"What's say you, Pacifica?" Icy asked Pacifica but did not get a response. "Pacifica?"
"ACHOO!" A loud sneeze was heard from Pacifica's room.
"Oh don't tell me..." Stormy said as Pacifica slogged out of her room with pale skin, sweat, and an extremely drippy nose.
"Sorry..." Pacifica said with a stuffed nose as she was brought to Icy. She was not feeling well, and the others knew it at first glance.
"By the dragon, Pacifica, you're burning up," Icy said as she felt her forehead. "And that's coming from someone who uses a ton of ice magic."
"Sister, you look like shit," Darcy said, stating the obvious.
"I feel like shit, too," Pacifica said as she sneezed into her arm. "Ugh, gross... Maybe you can use me to gross out the fairies?" Pacifica said, trying to turn it into a joke.
"Not a chance, Pazzy. You can't go out like that," Stormy said as she tried bringing her back to her room. "You need rest, meds, and cozy blankets."
"Can't you guys just cure me?" Pacifica asked of her sisters.
"We're witches, Pacifica," Darcy answered. "We don't cure sicknesses, we just give them out. That's the nature fairy Flora's department."
"You're staying here and getting better," Icy said to her.
"But what about helping you guys with witch pride and all that," Pacifica asked.
"You can't represent witch pride if you're spewing as much flem as you would magic," Icy said as she kneeled to her. "I know how much you're trying to catch up to the rest of us, and honestly, you're doing amazing so far for someone we accidentally found on Earth."
"But sometimes, things like this happen," Darcy added as Stormy took her backpack.
"So we're gonna do it for you as you rest up," Stormy offered as she tried to look cool for her. All of this touched Pacifica as Knut exited his closet, wearing a medical mask, gloves, and hairnet. He was even wearing his glasses this time.
"I'll stay and make sure she's back to full health, mistress of ice," Knut offered his services. "You can't be the Trix if one of you is down with the Magic Flu."
"You're a good ogre, Knut," Icy said, praising her minion. "You get to have the day off during Day of the Rose this weekend."
"Day of the Rose?" Pacifica asked. "What's that?"
"It's a day where you thank your mother or maternal figure for everything," Darcy explained to Pacifica as she was headed back to bed by Knut.
"So it's like Mother's Day from Earth?" Pacifica said as she thought about something. "Can you also swing by a place while you're out?" Pacifica asked of her sisters. "I need to grab something for Griffin."
"Sure thing," Icy said, promising Pacifica. "We know how much you see her as a mother."
"It's no secret you kind of latched onto her after your bitch mom kicked you out," Darcy said, analyzing the info.
"Get well soon, sis!" Stormy yelled back to her as the three witches left the dorm.
"And you need to get back into bed," Knut told Pacifica. "And don't worry about a thing. I may not look it, but I'm one heck of a medical expert."
Back at Alfea, the Winx Club was just competent enough to get the Main Hall done as they were working on the Auditorium. Musa and Dipper were scrubbing the floor, Flora, Layla, and Mabel were all vacuuming the seats, and Bloom and Tecna were making sure all the equipment was neatly organized. Stella, on the other hand, was not doing anything as she was checking her nails.
"I hope I didn't break any nails," Stella told herself as she was inspecting them through and through.
"You can check them AFTER WE'RE DONE!" Musa basically roared at Stella's lazy behavior.
"I thought you were helping Musa and Dipper with the floors, anyway," Bloom asked her.
"There's no reason why a princess of my standing should scrub floors," Stella flaunted.
"Hey, I'm a princess, and I'm still scrubbing the damn floors," Musa said to Stella. "Even Dipper's putting his back into it."
"Even your cousin Star would do this better than you," Dipper said to Stella.
"Oh come on, Dipper, don't bring her name up," Stella pleaded to him. "You know how much she and I detest each other."
"from an ongoing prank war, I might add," Dipper said. "When I see her again, I WILL tell her about this... unless you help out."
"Uuuuugggghhhhh... Fine," Stella said. "But if I break a nail, I'm done."
"Then use a scrub brush like what Dipper's doing," Musa said as she pointed to him.
"Then I'm gonna get blisters..." Stella wined at them.
"Then wear some gloves," Dipper replied back to her. Right now, she was easily compared to Pacifica or Chloe if they had to do physical labor.
"But I don't like the rubbery feeling on my hands," Stella wined, causing Musa and Dipper to groan.
"Well... there's only one thing left to do," Bloom said as she grabbed the bucket Musa and Dipper were using to clean off the floor. At that point, Flora, Mabel, and Layla were taking a seat on the chairs and watching all the chaos unfold on stage.
"Oh, this is going to be good," Flora said as both Mabel and Layla agreed with this.
"Oh come on, Bloom, you don't have to do everything here," Musa said as Tecna finally joined them.
"No, do not interrupt," Tecna told her. "This is going to be funny."
"What going to be fun-" Stella tried asking as Bloom poured the bucket all over Stella, drenching her in the process. "GGGYYYAAAHHHH!" As she was drenched, the other seven started to laugh and Stella started joining in on the laughter as well.
"Now that's funny," Musa said as she laughed at this. As she did, she then got splashed by Bloom.
"Don't think I forgot about you, Muse," Bloom said as she was practically dying from this.
"Oh come on, if you needed to splash anyone, splash Dipper,' Musa said as she pointed to him. "Dragon knows he needs it."
"I heard that, shortstack," Dipper said to Musa, but then got splashed. "Oh come on!"
"Lighten up, Dipping sauce," Tecna said as she helped him to his feet. "We're just having some fun." As all of them were laughing, Griselda came in, and she was magically moving a box and a crate with her.
"Fun is something you should have when you're all done with work," Griselda said as she inspected the room. "The seats may be done, but the stage has a lot more work to be put into it."
"We're just taking a break," Musa said, defending them. "You can't expect us to do everything like machines."
"Why are you even here, anyway?" Stella asked as she saw the boxes. "And what's with the boxes?"
"Oh I just came by to let you know that almost every single student is going to the concert going on in Magix City tonight," Griselda said with a smirk. "And guess who's not going?"
"Oh come on, you don't mean the Razorblade concert, right?" Musa said as she sounded upset. "I've been waiting months to see them."
"Razorblade? Are they like a band?" Mabel asked as she, Flora, and Layla joined the rest on stage.
"They are THEE band to see, Mabel, and we can't see them tonight because of this bullcrap," Musa said, getting angrier by the second. "So, did you come here just to gloat?"
"I wish, but Faragonda asked me to deliver these boxes to Dipper and Mabel," Griselda said as she brought the boxes to them. "They're from your parents."
"Wait, mom and dad sent us stuff?" Mabel asked as both she and Dipper were curious about this. Dipper then took the smaller box first and opened it up.
"It's a bunch of Halloween candy," Dipper said as she got some stuff out. "3Musketiers, skittles, m&m's, sour patch kids. And a whole bunch of gummy stuff for Mabel."
"Gummies!" Mabel said as she saw the contents of the box. "And it's all our favorites, Dipper."
"Look at all that stuff," Layla said as she eyed them.
"They all look artificially made," Flora said.
"You think I could get some of that?" Bloom asked.
"Of course, Bloomy!" Mabel said, happy to share her stuff with her fairy friends.
"But what's the second box?" Dipper wondered as Griselda opened it for him, revealing two friends the twins dearly missed. A pig and a cat.
"WADDLES!" Mabel squealed out.
"FURBALL?!" Dipper exclaimed out loud.
"What?! Your parents sent you both pets?" Griselda almost roared out but kept her cool. "I knew I should have checked it out, but Faragonda won't hear the end of it if I open other people's mail." The rest of the Winx Club were stunned by this sudden revelation as both Dipper and Mabel then went up to their pets and started hugging them.
"I am so so sorry for leaving you back on earth, Waddles," Mabel said as she started kissing Waddles on the cheek.
"Good to see you, Furball," Dipper said as he petted his cat. "Did you and Waddles become friends while we were gone?" Furball then meows and leaps to Waddles as Mabel sees both Waddles and Furball being buddies, furthering Mabel's joy.
"They're so cute together!" Mabel exclaimed. The rest of the club saw this and they can't help but smile at the new animal friends. "Oh, I wanna introduce you to some new friends."
"Do it later," Griselda said as she calmed down. "You lot still have work to do, and I expect you all to finish up by the time we get back!" Griselda then turned around and left the Winx Club plus the new pets alone and back to their duties.
"I can't believe you guys had pets sent to you," Musa said, surprised.
"I can't believe she didn't say anything about Kiko in the room," Bloom added as Mabel petted Waddles on his head.
"Welcome to a new world of magic and mayhem, Waddles," Mabel said. "Or as I like to call it Summer 2: Magical Boogaloo."
Back at Cloud Tower, the three remaining Trix were sneaking past a bunch of staff and students who were trying to enjoy a nice dinner inside the school's walls.
"I can't believe this is this easy," Stormy said, surprised at the results so far.
"Everyone's stuffing their faces with the slop this place serves," Darcy said, stating the obvious. "I don't understand how Pacifica can stomach that garbage."
"Pacifica is finally trying stuff she's always dreamed of doing," Icy said, defending Pacifica. "Let her live a little."
"you mean like how she has a massive crush on Mabel?" Darcy said. "It's pretty obvious."
"Ugh, Mabel... I can't believe someone can exist who thinks more outside the box than I," Stormy grunted, not wanting to listen to how her sister fell for the yellow Winx fairy-slash-rival.
"Focus," Icy said, stopping the squabble. "We need to sneak out without anyone knowing." At that moment, Mirta appeared from behind a door and startled them.
"I can show you how, but you need to do something in return," Mirta asked of them. The Trix jumped back in surprise when they saw her.
"WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!" Stormy yelped in surprise.
"Nevermind that, sister," Icy said as she remembered what Mirta just said. "You said you can help us sneak to Alfea, right?"
"Yeup, in exchange for a favor," Mirta said. "don't hurt the fairies. Witches and Fairies might generate opposite forms of magic, but we need this balance that will maintain the universal harmony between positive and negative magics."
"Are you insane?" Darcy practically said as Icy stopped her.
"fine... we promise we won't hurt the fairies much," Icy compromised with Mirta, as she smiled.
"I'll accept it," Mirta said as she showed them a hidden door that led way downstairs. "I overheard Professor Bittersmoke that the fairy break-in happened because they used this underground tunnel undetected."
"Clever fairies," Darcy said, using her dark powers to inspect the tunnel. After a few seconds, the darkness returned to her. "She's telling the truth. This tunnel connects not only to Alfea but also to Red Fountain as well."
"Ohohohohohohoh, this is going to be good," Stormy said as she rubbed her hands together, excited for the chaos that was about to happen. She then heads down and Darcy immediately after. Icy started to head down as Mirta stopped her.
"Oh, where's Pacifica?" Mirta asked Icy. "I need to ask her questions about the project in Witchcraft 101."
"She's not feeling well, so we just tucked her into bed," Icy said as she was resisting her ancestor's hold on her speech. So she's not coming on tonight's task." As she said that, she then went past her as Mirta wondered what she could send Pacifica to make her feel better.
About half an hour later, Bloom and Flora saw the last bus head into Magix City with all the teachers and staff, technically leaving the 8 fairies, a pig, a cat, and a rabbit alone. During this time, Bloom went back up to grab Kiko and have him join forces with the other pets as they all got along. By getting along, what really happened is that Kiko was sitting on Waddles's head and using him as his own personal ride, and Furball was standing beside Waddles.
"And there they go," Musa said with angry eyes. "Off to see the best band in all of the Magix Alliance."
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I saw Miss Griselda smirking at me as they all left," Tecna added.
"Fucking bitch knew what she did," Musa said as she pouted. "Fuck!" As she was cursing, Mabel handed her one of the gumballs that was in the twins' candy stash as she took it. "Thank you."
"You're welcome," Mabel said as she was nomming on some gummies. "And you should be a Mrs. Grumpy Pants. It'll give you a permanent angry face."
"Plus, you just know some bad karma will come her way," Stella said as she sat with them. "Trust me, she'll slip up and we can all laugh at her then."
"I fucking hope so," Musa said, feeling a bit better when her friends are cheering her up.
"Hey, I know. We should invite Brandon's specialist squad over and have them hang out," Stella pitched an idea. That way, at least half of us can see our knights in shining bodysuits."
"Helia?" Flora asked.
"Timmy?" Tecna added on.
"Wendy?" Dipper asks as well.
"Riven?" Musa grunted angrily.
"Brandon?" Bloom asks sincerely.
"Oooh sounds like fun!" Mabel interjected.
"I have to agree with Mabel," Layla added. "It would be nice for the rest of us to salvage this day."
"I'm already calling them up," Stella said as she was calling up Sky. "Hey Sky, you free tonight?"
Out in Magix city, were 6 hoverbikes riding along the roads of the city, with 6 specialists on them. Brandon and his squad agreed to meet with the Winx Club at Alfea to hang out and were on their way with one of their main modes of transportation, the Red Fountian-approved hiver bikes known as Windriders.
"WHOO HOO! This is awesome!" Wendy yelled in excitement over the radio communications. "I gotta keep one of these for myself when I graduate."
"Wendy, focus, these things aren't exactly toys," Helia told Wendy.
"Let her have this, Helia," Timmy said. "Humans don't have any of this back on Earth."
"But I'm willing to bet they still had traffic laws," Brandon said. "As Specialists of Red Fountain, we have a reputation to uphold."
"Alright, alright," Wendy said as she calmed down. "But you have to admit, this is pretty cool."
"That it is, Wendy," Brandon agreed with her. "Even Riven can't help himself with these things."
"It makes me feel like a badass," Riven said as he revved his engine. "The last one to Alfea has to clean our ship's bathroom." As he said that, he sped forward.
"Oh, it is ON!" Wendy said as she chased him, accepting his challenge.
"At the very least, go easy on me," Brandon said as he gestured to Lady, his dog, who was strapped to the bike's seat gently and safely.
"Sounds like quitter talk, Brandon," Sky said as the rest of them zoomed off. Roughly 15 minutes later, the specialists arrived at Alfea's front steps, with Wendy arriving first.
"YEAH, FIRST PLACE!" Wendy said out loud as Helia arrived behind her.
"That was quite a race," Helia said, congratulating Wendy. As he got off, Timmy arrived with Riven a few seconds later.
"Third place. At least I made the podium," Timmy said, feeling confident in himself.
"Well, at least I'm not in last place," Riven said. "May the dragon have mercy on whoever finishes last." As he said that, Sky arrived in fifth and Brandon arrived in last place.
"And we have ourselves a loser," Sky said to Brandon.
"Hey, I did say to take it easy on me," Brandon groaned as he let Lady off his Windrider. "I have precious cargo on board."
"Whatever you say, loser," Riven mocked him. As he said that, they were all greeted by the Winx Club.
"Hey guys!" Stella said as she ran up to Sky he held her gently and they kissed one another. "Did you miss me?"
"Every second during those long classes, Stelly," Sky said as he tested out a nickname for her. "Sorry, you had your powers taken away."
"It's all good, but Dipper and Mabel are still a bit mad at me because of it," Stella explained to him.
"Yeah, but I got to side with them here," Wendy said as she let go of Dipper as they hugged when they greeted each other. "Magic is awesome and I'd be upset if I wasn't able to cast anything anymore."
"And as the wizard of the bunch, I have to agree with them as well," Helia said as he sided with Wendy and the twins.
"Ok, so I messed up, but I'm trying to fix it," Stella said as she defended herself. "But back to our hangout, I have something I want you guys to do first."
"Whatever it is, I'll do for you," Sky said as he would do anything Stella asked of him.
"Ok, I take it back," Sky said, confused as he was holding a broom. A few minutes after the specialists arrived, Everyone was inside, and while Lady joined herself with the other pets and got along with them, Stella kind of tricked the other specialists into helping out.
"Oh come on, this is not what specialists are supposed to do," Riven said as he had to mop the floor.
"We slash with our blades, not swab the floors of my girlfriend's school," Sky added.
"Great, it's the summer all over again," Wendy said as she was sweeping the floor, but not as fast as the others. "But it's nice to see Waddles again."
"I know right?" Mabel said as she was keeping an eye on Waddles and his new pet friends.
"At least one of us is happy," Brandon said as he was visibly confused and annoyed he had to do more chores.
"Sorry, but Griselda the Ghool sort of gave us a timeframe on how long we had to do it," Stella said to them. "But once we're done, we can order food and watch a movie together. Ya know, a joint group bonding experience."
"You know, if we get caught, we'll all have to be punished," Timmy wondered as he started vacuuming the rug.
"That's why we're doing this while everyone is gone," Stella said, trying to get them on board.
"I won't be giving it my all," Wendy said as she decided she was going to half-ass it. "If I had to choose between Stan or Griselda, I'd pick Stan all day. At least he's cool."
"He's awesome!" Mabel said, agreeing with her.
"You know, we could play a game to pass the time while we work," Flora suggested.
"Truth or dare?" Dipper suggested.
"Hell yeah, let's do it!" Musa said as she pointed at Mabel. "Mabel, truth or dare?"
"DARE!" Mabel said, excitingly.
"I dare you to give me more gum," Musa said as Mabel grunted as she did so.
"You're so lucky I still have braces on," Mabel said as she gave up the gum. "Alright... Bloom, truth or dare?"
"Me? So soon?" Bloom said as she was shocked that she was next. "Well... I'm gonna play it safe and easy truth."
"Ooh, alright," Mabel said as she snickers. "Do you have a crush on Brandon?" As she said that, both Bloom's and Brandon's faces go as red as her hair.
"Dude, she's crushing on you," Sky said as he teased his best friend.
"Well... I won't deny the fact he is pretty cute..." Bloom said as she answered truthfully.
"There you go," Wendy said, proud of Bloom's answer. Bloom smiled as at least she had someone understand her.
"Alright then... Wendy, truth or dare?" Bloom asked her fellow Earthling.
"Alright alright... truth," Wendy said as she picked her answer.
"How exactly do you know Pacifica Northwest on a personal level?" Bloom asked her. "You know, because she grew up in the same place you did back on Earth."
"Yeah, I always wondered about that," Mabel said as Dipper agreed with his sister.
"the only time we ever saw you interact with her was during the Weirdmageddon," Dipper elaborated while the others sort of understood what he meant.
"Oh, that? It's because I used to babysit her a few years back," Wendy said as she explained her answer. "I overcharged because her parents were rich, but they still paid me anyway. And after that, Me and Pazzy became fast friends. Showed her a whole new world of life beyond the one percent lifestyle. But I was eventually let go because her parents wanted money for another yacht, and I was disposable by their standards. Pazzy and I still kept in touch, but it kind of hurts being fired at 12, so I moped for like an hour."
"Oh no," Mabel said, growing worried.
"Yea... but luckily, that's when I met your Grunkle Stan, who was still running the Mystery Shack at the time," Wendy continued her story. "He calmed me down and talked. He totally liked the idea of me overcharging her awful parents while making sure their daughter didn't turn out like them. He even promised when I can work legally, he'd hire me at his shack for a job."
"So that's how you knew Pacifcia," Mabel wondered.
"It's because of you, she became not a snobby rich bitch like her parents," Dipper added on.
"Come on, guys. You two deserve some of the credit," Wendy said as she raised their spirits. "I heard about the golf thing, the market thing, and the ghost thing when you guys helped my ancestor Archibald Corduroy find peace."
"WAIT, ARCHIBALD WAS A CODUROY?!" Dipper said as he was shocked at this realization and cleared his throat. "But think of it this way, your family and hers might have been enemies generations ago, but you and her being friends now can start a new future."
Wendy smiled at what he said and hugged him. "Thank you, Dipper. That actually means a lot coming from you." She then kissed him on the lips as some of the other girls cooed and some of the guys cheered.
"They are so adorable together," Flora said, celebrating the kiss.
"There you go, Dipper," Tecna said as she couldn't help but smile at her little buddy.
"See that, Riven?" Musa said, taunting the magenta-haired specialist. "That's a kiss. Something you'll never have."
"Oh very funny, Muse," Riven said. "But I bet I can get a kiss sooner than you."
"Oh, it is on!" Musa said, agreeing to the bet she just made with her least favorite specialist. As she did, a sudden rush of cold wind flew past the working group and they all reacted to it.
"Ugh, what was that?" Timmy said, slightly shivering.
"Is it just me, or did it suddenly get colder in here?" Layla said as she shivered as well.
"Wait, cold?" Dipper realized as his eyes widened. "OH CRAP!"
"Oh crap indeed," A new voice said, echoing down the hallway. That echo turned into a trio of laughter as out from the hallway, stepped Icy, Darcy, and Stormy, laughing as they tried to intimidate the fairies and their specialist friends. The pets looked at the intruders and started growling at them, defending their masters.
"Specialists too? Oh, this is gonna be fun," Stormy said as she chuckled.
"THE TRIX?!" They all practically shouted.
"Where's Pacifica?" Wendy said as she got her axe out.
"She's resting today, so it's just us three," Icy said as she got some ice made with her magic. "And you winx fairies are going to pay for breaking into our dorm room!"
"You stole my ring, you icy bitch," Stella said as she got her staff out while everyone armed themselves with their weapon of choice. Bloom was handed a spare sword from Brandon as she got ready. Darcy sees this and starts chuckling. She chuckled and chuckled as it turned into full-blown maniacal laughter laughter. "And what's so dragon-damned funny?"
"You just gave away your strategy," Darcy said as she turned to Icy and Stormy. "It turns out that the fairies can't use their dumb sparkle magic on us because they're being punished."
"Oh yeah," Icy said as she observed them closely. "If they still had their magic, they would have transformed and been in the air by now. Instead, they have swords, staffs, whips, drills, tridents, knives, grappling hooks, and gauntlets."
"I always knew tonight was gonna be fun," Stormy said as she cackled.
"Sisters, let's give the fairies some payback," Icy said as she stepped forward. "And if their specialist friends get in the way, they get in the way."
As she said that, the Trix started blasting their magic at them as Sky, Timmy, and Helia pulled their capes up, which formed a makeshift shield that blocked the magic while everyone else was trying to think.
"What do we do?" Mabel asked.
"We do have a numerical advantage, but in terms of magic, only Helia can cast spells," Timmy said, thinking about the battle ahead of him. "It will take everything we have just to win tonight."
"And we're sure as fuck aren't going to let all of our hard work go to waste," Musa said as she twirled her knives in her hands.
"I say we treat ourselves to some Trix," Bloom said as Wendy and the twins got hyped. The others were confused by the saying but decided to go along with it.
"When the shields go down, we strike. Ready?" Brandon said as he rallied his friends. "NOW!" The shields go down as both the Winx Club and the specialists charge at the three witches. Icy used her magic to craft a makeshift spike and used it to defend herself from the attacks at hand.
"At the very least, you will be perfect for practice," Icy said as she was blocking and dodging Bloom, Brandon, Sky, and Layla at the same time. "Where is the magic?"
"Don't worry about that, Icy," Layla said as she trusted her trident at Icy, hoping to at least knock her on her back, but to no avail.
"I should worry," Icy yelled back at her. "Because you dumb fairies broke into our dorm room!"
"After you witches stole Stella's ring," Bloom said as she tried to slice Icy, but was caught by Icy and held her blade, freezing it and shattering her phantoblade. "MY SWORD!"
"BLOOM!" Brandon said as he was worried for Bloom's safety.
"Oh you fairies can keep the dumb ring, we don't need it," Icy told Bloom. "it didn't have what we need."
"Wait, so you're looking for something else?" Bloom said, horrified at what she meant by that. "What?"
"That's for us to know, and you to find out when it's too late," Icy said as she tossed Bloom to Brandon he caught her.
"I got you, Bloom," Brandon said as he gently held Bloom. "Are you hurt?"
"I think I'm fine," Bloom said as she thanked him with a kiss on the cheek.
"Really, right now?" Sky said.
"I'm with the brunette on this one," Icy said. "You're fighting me and you suddenly kiss your blonde dummy just for saving your life? You're weird."
"Says the ice witch who talks to herself," Layla said as she got back into the fight. "How could anyone like you three, let alone Pacifica?"
"THAT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS," Icy said, enraged with Layla's wording. As that was going on, Darcy was easily dodging attacks from Stella, Dipper, Riven, Timmy, and Wendy.
"Unlike my dear sister, I will not crack under pressure," Darcy said as she tried blasting Stella, but Timmy's lasers hit the blast at the right time, saving her. "What the?!"
"Don't even try it," Timmy said as he adjusted his glasses in a badass fashion. "I can shoot magic out of your hand before you can even cast them."
"Damn sharpshooter," Darcy yelled at him as she got punched in the gut by Dipper, sending her back a few feet. "uuggghhh..." Darcy groaned out.
"Things have changed since last we met, Darcy Void," Dipper said, dusting off his gauntlets. "I now pack a mean punch."
"Dipper Pines, my rival," Darcy said as she collected herself. "Still a threat, even without your precious fire magic, I see."
"Yeup, but he's not the only one you should be concerned about," Stella said as she struck Darcy with her staff, but Darcy used her magic to lessen the blow. "I still haven't properly thanked you for keeping an eye on my ring for me."
"You mean that useless piece of garbage?" Darcy said as she started blasting the group again. Timmy did what he could to deflect some of them, but the rest of the group had to dodge. They don't blame him for not getting all the blasts, though. Which meant the rest of them needed to step up.
"We gotta take this crazy bitch down," Wendy said to Riven. "You go high, I'll go low." Riven nods as both of them start to rush Darcy. Wendy slid down and kicked Darcy's ankles, thus sending her into the air. As that happened, Riven slapped Darcy to the ground with the tip of his sword pointing at her face.
"Checkmate, witch," Riven said to Darcy as Darcy started turning red. It was at that point that Riven saw her blushing and he couldn't help but blush as well. The world started to slow down around them as only the two of them seemed to exist.
"It's Darcy, Specalsit," Darcy said as she introduced herself properly to him.
"It's not specialist, it's Riven," Riven said, also introducing himself to his enemy. At that exact moment, the rest of the group that was fighting Darcy was watching this and could not believe what they were seeing.
"Are those two... flirting?" Timmy asked.
"Those two are not going to last if they do end up together," Stella said the truth.
"Better her than Riven trying to date Musa," Dipper added to that.
As all of that was happening, Stormy was dodging attacks by the rest of the group, which consisted of Mabel, Flora, Musa, Tecna, Helia, and the pets.
"Ugh, gross," Stormy said as she was seeing Darcy fall in love with the magenta-haired specialist. As she said that, her legs were suddenly latched onto by two whips, one light-based and the other plant-based.
"Don't let that distract you, Stormy," Flora said as both she and Helia were starting to drag her down to her level.
"LET GO OF ME!" Stormy yelled out. "A STORM LIKE ME SHALL NOT BE CONTAINED BY MAGICLESS FAIRIES!"
"Well, too bad," Tecnma said as she joined in on the pulling, and thanks to her immense strength, Stormy was successfully brought down to their level as Musa and Mabel went up to her.
"YEAH! Thanks, Tec," Musa said as she kicked Stormy's stomach. this prompted Stormy to thrust her hands out to try to cast another spell, but Mabel's grappling hook intercepted and wrapped around her hands, making the storm witch unable to cast any spells.
"You think this might be it, Musa?" Mabel asked as Stormyu was struggling hard as she roared.
"SISTERS, HELP ME!" Stormy said, but it was a weird echo-like voice, which horrified the rest of the Winx and specialists. Icy and Darcy heard this and were scared that Stormy's other half was leaving this early into the plan. The two of them zipped off to save Stormy as Mabel, Flora, and Helia quickly retracted their weapons before they could be broken
"You think you're all so clever, overpowering us," Darcy said, admittingly still thinking about Riven.
"BUT IT WILL BE THE TRIX WHO WILL HAVE THE LAST LAUGH!" Icy roared out as Darcy and Stormy joined their hands together and they charged up a spell together.
"WITCH CONVERGENCE!" All three of them yelled together, but the moment they were going to fire the spell, the spell disappeared.
"What in the name of Omega just happened?" Brandon asked as everyone was confused. At that moment, some footsteps could be heard. All 3 groups plus the pets could easily see that it was Faragonda who was walking towards them alongside Griselda, and they were NOT happy.
"Tisk, tisk, tisk," Faragonda said. "I am very disappointed in the three of you tonight."
"HEADMISTRESS FARAGONDA!" All 3 groups exclaimed at the same time.
"And don't you forget about me as well," Griselda said as she was very angry. "You three are in a lot of trouble tonight."
"Yeah, right," Darcy scoffed. "You two can't punish us and you know it." Faragonda chuckles adorably at the hearing of that. "Something funny?"
"Of course something's funny," Faragonda said. "And she's right out the window."
Right on cue, everyone turned around and they all saw Griffin floating into an open window as she used her magic to pick up the Trix and keep them from using their magic.
"Attacking fairies just because they stole back a ring in which you stole?" Griffin said, disappointed in them. "And you left Pacifica, who views you as family, to suffer with a cold all by herself?!"
"She said for us to go without her," Darcy said.
"We left her behind so she can rest up," Icy added. "Honest!"
"While you are being honest about that, it doesn't change the fact that you three came to Alfea and started blasting 8 of my best students, and 6 of Saladin's," Faragonda added to that.
"Why are they here?" Griselda asked of them as Stella stepped forward.
"It doesn't matter why they're here, Griselda," Stella said as she was defending them. "What matters more is the fact that they helped save our lives when the Trix attacked us, and we didn't have powers to defend ourselves."
"Is this true?" Faragonda asked Griselda. "I approved only of the cleaning, but not the powers being taken away."
"They needed to learn a lesson," Griselda said but sighed when she knew she was not going to win this. "But alright, I'll end their punishment for the fairies, and send a letter of recommendation over to Saladin that some of his specialists did their duty."
"We can get our magic back?" Mabel said with sparkles in her eyes.
"And we don't have to clean up anymore?" Stella said, also happy that the punishment was ending.
"Yes, yes... and please don't make me regret it," Griselda said as she cast a wave of magic across the group as the 8 fairies got back their magic.
"Finally!" Musa said as she felt her magic returning to her.
"It is good to be whole once more," Tecna said.
"For once, I agree," Flora said, agreeing with her.
"And what about the Trix?" Bloom asked Griffin.
"Well, since it is their first offense, I'll go easy on them," Griffin said as she got the perfect punishment in mind. "These three will spend the weekend in the detention dimension."
"No, anything but the Detention Dimension!" Icy pleaded as Darcy and Stormy joined in on the pleading.
"What's that?" Dipper asked.
"It's basically a pocket dimension I send troublemakers to where they serve detention without the hope of escaping unless a teacher can access it," Griffin explained to him. "And it's super effective, too."
"But what about Pacifica?" Icy asked.
"I'll keep an eye on her, so don't worry about that. You worry about serving your time!" Griffin said as she sent the Trix into the other dimension with her spell. As they got sucked in, a letter flew out of Stormy's pocket and landed on Mabel's head.
"Huh, a letter? With my name on it?" Mabel asked as she opened it and read it out loud.
"Dearest Mabel,
I would like to talk about why I'm a witch and why I have sided with the Trix. Perhaps we can meet on the Day of the Rose and try to talk things through.
Text me the answer at this number.
XXX-XXX-XXXX
Let me know as soon as you can.
From, someone who cares about you more than she can verbally admit it,
Pacifica Elise Northwest, Witch of Metal and part of the Trix.
P.S. Do say hi to Dipper and Wendy for me."
Mabel then puts the letter into her sweater as the others are stunned.
"Pacifica Northwest asked you out for a date?" Stella said, super surprised at what the letter said.
"And I'm going to accept it," Mabel said as she started typing on her phone and Griffin smiled at this.
"Looks like my work here is done. Farewell!" Griffin said as she teleported away, leaving the rest of them alone.
"There's just one thing I still don't understand," Dipper said. "Why did you two come back so early?"
"Because nobody told me that the concert was such a racket," Griselda said as she shivered. "Especially during that one song."
"Fairy Flies On?" Musa asked. "That's like their best song."
"All of it sounded the same to me, so I just left and headed back," Griselda said, still annoyed by the music shown off.
"And I wanted to help her back so she's not suffering alone," Faragonda said, making sure her right-hand woman was safe.
"That makes sense," Dipper said as he yawned. "Today was just a long day."
"You said it," Wendy said, agreeing with him.
"It has been a long night, so let's call it a night," Faragonda said as she turned to the specialists. "And don't worry about you lot. You're all getting told about your heroics tonight, so don't worry about a thing."
"Thank you, headmistress," Brandon said as he turned to his squad. "We're heading back in 5 minutes."
"Got it," the other 5 said in unison.
"Oh, and don't forget. None of you have classes on Monday because of Day of the Rose," Faragonda said before they all left while saying their goodbyes to one another.
In a void of an area, sat a massive blackboard with 3 desks in place. Icy, Darcy, and Stormy were forced to write on the blackboard as they were being punished. This is the Detention dimension.
"Ugh, I can't believe we're all stuck here!" Stormy said as she was so angry with everything.
"If Griffin hadn't shown up when she did, we would have gotten our revenge on the Winx Club," Darcy said.
"Says the girl who fell in love with a fucking oaf!" Stormy yelled back at her. "What the fuck was that back there with that Riven guy?"
"Oh, don't you dare blame this on me, Stormy," Darcy said.
"I was being overpowered by 4 fairies, a specialist, and 4 animals!" Stormy said as Icy slammed her fist on the board.
"ENOUGH, BOTH OF YOU!" Icy said as she was furious. "We might have lost the trail of the flame, but we will not give up."
"What do you mean?" Stormy said as she was confused.
"We will get out just as the Day of the Rose begins, and we will have some more trails to follow," Icy said. "And Darcy's crush on that oaf Riven is going to be a key in doing that."
Back at the Trix's dorm, Pacifica was being looked after by Griffin, who just so happened to drop by and check up on how she was doing.
"ACHOO!" Pacifica said as she sneezed into another tissue. "Sorry..."
"There's nothing to apologize for, Pacifica," Griffin said as she was sitting with her. "You just focus on your health for right now."
"But... my sisters..." Pacifica tried to speak.
"They'll be ok," Griffin said. "They're just being punished right now. I know you care a lot about them, so know that they're gonna be ok."
"When will they get out?" Pacifica asked her.
"I'm planning on taking them out on Monday, just before Day of the Rose," Griffin said. "Nobody should have to miss that day just because they made a mistake."
"Thank you, headwitchstress," Pacifica said to her headwitchstress.
The Winx's dorm room lit up once again now that the 8 fairies came back and relaxed after their very long day. Waddles was waddling over to a food bowl Mabel left out for him and the other pets as Furball was relaxing on the couch while Dipper was petting him. Kiko returned to Bloom and Stella's room so he could sleep the night away.
"Today was a bit of a weird day, won't you all agree?" Stella said as Mabel hugged her.
"Thanks for getting our magic back, Stella," Mabel said, thanking her.
"Of course, sweetie," Stella said. "I just felt bad after that thing the other day that caused us to lose our powers."
"But tonight, not only did you give us back our magic, but you made sure to give Wendy and the others a good word so they're not in trouble," Dipper said, also thanking Stella. "So consider my anger quelled."
"That's great to hear," Stella said as she sat down and gave Dipper a side hug."So what do you say we just stay in and hang out all weekend long, just the 8 of us fairies."
"And maybe our pets sometimes in it?" Mabel asked Stella.
"Of course, the pets can join," Stella said. "for the next few days, The Winx Club is going to do nothing but relax."
Authors note: And so ends the Ring of Solaria arc. If you're wondering about the bonus pet showcased here, Furball is the cat from the first episode of Gravity Falls from Dipper and Mabel's flashback on why they were there for the summer. I decided to give him a name. Also, a special shout-out to employedhamster on Blue Sky for letting me implement her babysitter AU into the story for Wendy and Pacifica's friendship.
