Previously on the Legend of Perseus: Bender of Oceans

As the new Crown Princess you are to go on a tour of the islands. Remind them who they serve."

"As you wish father." Azula replied quietly.

"After the tour you set sail on your first campaign. Quell the uprisings in the colonies. You know what failure entails." Ozais cold voice ruthlessly warned. Embers flickering on her fingertips.

Azula was stoic but a primal sense of dread filled her as she gazed upon those orange flames. 'Weak' a horrifically familiar voice mocked her internally.

"I won't fail you father." Azula bowed. She feared what would happen if she faltered.

The Legend of Perseus: Bender of Oceans

Chapter 10: Propaganda & Journeys

Harbour District, The Capitol

The early morning sun had started to creep into the sky. The heavens above, painted in rich hues of pinks and oranges. The sea was peaceful, minuscule waves lapping the docks below Percy's feet. He and his father were sat cross legged, looking out onto the serene bay.

"The time has come for you to make your own way into the world, son." His father spoke warmly.

"I only have one last bit of advice for you, and one promise for you."

"Remember my defensive forms?" Percy asked with a grin.

Piandao shook his head with a small smile. "Always good advice but not what I had in mind." His father looked out to the ocean for a moment.

"Never forget who you are, what your principles are, or where you came from. You are more than just a waterbender or sword master."

Percy smiled at his father. He knew there was deeper meaning to his words. There always was, he was sure it would reveal itself in time.

"And the promise?" He asked.

"At least try to stay safe and bite your tongue every now and then." His father laughed.

"I can promise to do my best to try to stay safe. But no guarantees on not speaking my mind." Percy retorted

Piandao rolled his eyes. "Don't forget to visit either. Shu Jing is still your home."

"I won't dad. I'll make sure to bring some gifts from my travels."

Piandao sighed. "I'm afraid the time has come for me to make my leave." His father stated as he stood up.

Percy joined him and pulled his father into a deep embrace. A moment of soothing silence washed over them.

"I'm gonna miss you dad." Percy murmured.

"I'm going to miss you too son, best of luck with the princess."

/

Percy was meditating. A couple hours had passed and the sky above was now a brilliant azure. His breathing was steady, the salty air of the ocean soothing his mind.

He was waiting. Not for the Princess however. Percy knew she was already on the boat, the feeling of being watched had settled in a while ago.

He was hopeful that he would get to say goodbye to Zuko and Uncle Iroh. Percy was unable to see his friend at all the previous day. The Prince had been locked away in the infirmary following the Agni Kai.

Percy exhaled heavily. The harrowing, pained screamed of his friend rang in his mind. Seeing the Fire Lord so casually inflict such pain on his own son disgusted him. Percy was already wary of Ozai, but the harsh realities of his character and actions struck fear into the waterbender.

Before he could get any further lost in his thoughts, the sounds of footsteps caught his attention. Without turning around Percy stretched out his senses, he could fully feel the two figures that were approaching him.

Percy stood and turned, a wide smile gracing his face. It almost faltered seeing the state of his friend. Zuko's skin was ghastly pale, the half of his face that had been burned was covered in thick padding of bandages. His head was fully shaven, aside from his top knot that had been reduced to a ponytail.

He looked broken.

"Zuko…" Percy whispered, a sadness ringing his voice. He saw Iroh look at him with pitiful eyes.

"Uncle Iroh." He said with a bow.

"I'm surprised you're not with Azula." Zuko muttered.

"Yeah she didn't like it when I told her yesterday I wasn't leaving without saying goodbye to you." Percy smiled at him.

Zuko returned the smallest of pained smiles. "Thank you Percy."

"And to also remind you of my dads first lesson." Percy paused. "Your father doesn't determine your honour. Only you can."

Surprisingly Zuko only glared at him. "You don't understand. You're born lucky, you get to choose what code you live by. It's different for me, I don't have that pleasure." He spat before storming off in the direction of a small boat.

Percy could only shake his head sadly. That was not the reaction he was expecting from the Prince.

"Don't take his words to heart Percy. He is suffering." Uncle Iroh's calm voice reassured him.

"I'll write to you both. Just take care of him, please uncle." Percy looked at him sadly.

"I hope to guide him on the right path to understanding. Though I fear it will be a long and treacherous one. But just as I am there for him, I am always there for you as well Percy." Iroh looked at him warmly before opening his arms.

The two embraced briefly. "Thank you for everything Uncle. I don't know how I will ever repay you." Percy said with a watery smile before parting.

"My niece may be difficult, but she too has her own inner turmoil." Iroh started, the sad look returning to his face. "I have failed her; our whole family has. Please be there for her when she needs it."

"I swear to you I will uncle." The waterbender vowed.

Percy and Iroh were walking down the dock. Two ships were perched on either side of them. To the left was an incredibly grand warship, one of the most modern in the fleet. The bridge of the ship was designed like a pagoda, gold detailing glimmered beneath the sun. Behind the bridge were three smokestacks already pumping black ash into the air.

To the right was an outdated vessel nearly half a century old. The exterior was heavily weathered by years upon the seas. It was closer to an escort vehicle than a battleship.

"This is where our paths diverge Percy. I look forward to the day they cross again." Iroh looked at the young man with a jovial face.

"Me too uncle. Stay safe." Percy beamed.

The two went their separate ways onto their own ships.

/

Percy made his way onto the decking where three girls had been waiting for him. He recognised Ty Lee who's smile beamed at him as she gave him a wave. The Princess as always had been looking at him through narrow eyes. Hints of annoyance flickering in amber. The third girl however Percy didn't recognise.

The son of Piandao bowed his head in their direction. "Princess, Ty Lee." He said to the two he knew before turning his direction to the third.

"I'm sorry but we haven't had the pleasure yet. I'm Percy." He smiled

"Mai." The girl replied neutrally.

Ah, Zuko's crush.

"How nice of you to finally join us bodyguard. You were beginning to test my patience." Azula warned.

"I thought I started testing your patience an hour ago when you began glaring daggers at me?" He questioned with a slight grin.

"You were taking your time. Now that you are here, we can finally set sail."

/

The Western Air Temple

"What an incredible sight." Uncle Iroh stated with wonder.

They had made their way through a maze of tunnels and paths that took them to the underside of a cliff range. The sprawling complex of temples, monasteries and buildings were built upside down from an overhang. Stairs and walkways interconnecting them. Gentle breezes of airlift flowed through the sanctuary.

Zuko was glaring into the perilous abyss below. The bottom of the treacherous cliffs hidden by swirling clouds. The Western Air Temple was empty and decrepit, there had been no signs that anyone had been living there. His banishment clouded over him, the end nowhere in sight.

"The only sight I'm looking forward to is the Avatar in chains." The exiled prince spat.

"Nephew. The avatar hasn't been seen in nearly a century. You have only been banished a week. Perhaps it's time to focus on recovering before we continue our journey." Iroh wisley advised.

"The only way to recover my honour is to find the Avatar. Of course the laziest man in the fire nation suggests resting." Zuko sneered, glaring at his uncle angrily.

"Prince Zuko your body needs time to properly heal. That is all I am suggesting." Iroh ignored the insult. He knew his nephew was lost in a place of betrayal and pain.

"We will explore the rest of the Air Temples. The north, the east, and the south in that order. If we have to, we will explore every corner of this planet from the South Pole to the north until we find the Avatar."

"Nephew, I implore you to properly rest first-"

"If I have to, I will spend every day of the rest of my life hunting the avatar. I know it's my destiny."

A deep sigh escaped Iroh's form as he put his hand on his nephews shoulder.

"You know Prince Zuko, destiny is a funny thing. You never know how life is going to work out. But if you keep an open mind, and an open heart, I promise you… you will maybe find your own destiny one day."

/

Abe Clan Palace, Ignea

Several months had passed since they began their tour of the islands, and Percy found himself growing bored and restless with each passing day. The trip had been nothing of endlessly repetitive monotony. Meetings, precessions, parades, and dinners. Rinse and repeat for every island or clan they visited.

The son of Piandao was looking down on a plate of grilled and barbecued meats. He was even getting bored of the food. The same royal buffet prepared for them countless times by this point. What he would give for a bowl of Fats Komodo-Chicken noodle soup.

Percy sighed as he chewed down on some food. Azula had all but commanded him to keep his mouth shut throughout the dinner. The Abe clan were one of the most important and influential in the nation. He had to make sure he didn't piss someone off.

The one thing he could consistently look forward to on this tour had been taken off the table from him. He wasn't allowed to speak back if someone mocked his capabilities.

The dark haired girl beside him spoke up. "Words cannot describe how much I detest these boring dinners."

"Couldn't agree more with you Mai." Percy smiled.

Mai'd lips had the faintest upturned tinge to them. The tiniest of smiles escaping her emotionless masquerade.

"A waterbending savage, what an utter disgrace of our nations legacy." The nobleman spat. "How can we even be sure of where his loyalties lie."

One of the many other things Percy was getting fed up with. His integrity being questioned. Before the son of Piandao could retort and break Azula's commands, he heard the princess speak.

"Questioning my bodyguards loyalty is to question my fathers decision making." She warned.

"Crown Princess, I think you misunderstand."

"No Akhito. You misunderstand, disrespect of my bodyguard is disrespect of the throne itself. Bringing such dishonour to your house can only be resolved by one avenue."

"An Agni Kai against a half blood bastard? He isn't even a firebender." Akhito spat.

"I never said anything about fighting the waterbender. As I said, disrespect against him is disrespect against the royal family itself. You will fight against me." Azula looked at the noble with a slight smirk.

"Finally. Something interesting." Mai murmured beside him.

/

Percy found it incredibly difficult to swallow his words throughout the remainder of dinner. Once they were able to leave and he escorted her to the royal quarters of the place it didn't take him long to question her.

"Azula, what are you doing? You told me not to speak out yet you're demanding an Agni Kai." Percy asked angrily. He had no interest in dying by the Fire Lord's hand if something happened to her.

"I am more than capable in a fight on my own. I don't need you protecting me." She read his mind.

"The Abe family is one of the most influential on the islands. They come from some of the oldest nobility lineages. We are touring the clans reminding them who they serve. What better way than getting one of the most powerful of them, to bow to the feet of the crown princess?" Azula explained.

Percy sighed. It was a masterfully cunning plan, a fantastic way to showcase the power of the royal family and keep the nobility in line. He still had one issue with it.

"But an Agni Kai?"

"As much as you hate formalities Perseus because he spoke out of turn it was the perfect opportunity. You were appointed by the fire lord directly. A mockery of your loyalties is a slight against the throne. I am heir to that throne. I have every right to challenge him and he was in no position to refuse." Azula clarified for him.

Percy looked at her carefully. He wasn't scared for her like he should have been. It was his job after all, to prioritize the safety of the Princess. But he was quietly confident that she was going to win the Agni Kai.

/

The Abe family Agni Kai courtyard was a stunning showcase of craftsmanship. It was an open-air rectangular field, one hundred seats grouped together at one side overlooking the length of the field, before fighters on either side. The entire thing had been lined with a series of red pillars, intricately detailed with golden depictions of dragons, and Fire Nation Insignia.

Percy was watching Azula carefully. The gong erupted and the fighting began. She removed her traditional shoulder cape revealing her curling uniform. Akhito removed his, revealing a lean figure.

Azula attacked first, quickly rushing forwards. Several blue fireballs rocketed through the air in the direction of the man. Akhito quickly defended himself with a small wall of red fire.

The son of Piandao couldn't help the smile that began to form on his face. 'Akhito has no chance against her.' He thought to himself.

Akhito tried to fight back, conjuring a great pillar of fire that came crashing down in the direction of the princess. Azula sliced through the red flames with an azure arc of fire.

Percy was analysing her every move. The only times he would get to see Azula fight was against him. There's only so much you can notice when you have the threat of fire barrelling at you every second.

She was flawless. Every movement of her katas were perfect. Each action and step was deliberate and precise.

The princess continued her onslaught. Slowly wearing down the guard of her opponent. The distance had been reduced to close range.

They two began to attack each with a flurry of kicks and punches. Azula dodged and deflected his attempt. Akhito tried desperately to knock the princess out with a flame-covered punch, but with a sweep of her leg he had been brought down in a heap.

A fireball danced in her hand as she stood over him. Percy watched as she hesitated for a split second before she fired it off into the man's shoulder.

/

Fire Nation Waters

It had been nearly half a year since they left the capital. Their tour of the islands that housed the most influential nobles had finally concluded. Azula had found herself on the bridge of the ship, looking out the inky night sky above. Millions of stars glimmered under the half moon's watchful eye.

She had come here because she was struggling to sleep. Memories of her last trip to the colonies haunting her dreams. Azula thought she would've been alone but was surprised to see the frame of her bodyguard meditating at the front of the ship. It was deep into the night, he should have been below deck long ago.

Azula was going to go down and find out what he was up to at this time, but she decided to watch him first. He was basked in the white glow of the moon. His hair piece had been removed, and dark, messy, wavy locks covered his head.

He was still. In the whole time Azula had known her bodyguard not once had she ever seen be so motionless. Minutes had passed. The son of Piandao still frozen in place. Azula looked at him with the slightest of frowns. Usually Perseus was jittery or fidgeting, it felt unnerving to see him so placid.

Azula sighed, she concluded that he must have fallen asleep. It was the only reasonable explanation. A small smirk graced her face. She had the opportunity to prank her bodyguard.

She quietly snuck through the metal stairs of the ship to make her way to the decking. She had been silent the entire time. As she got onto the deck of the boat she continued to monouvre in the direction of Perseus.

Azula walked on light footsteps, slowly closing the distance between them. She made it in arms reach, ready to give the bodyguard a fright.

"Hello Azula." He spoke out calmly.

The princess could hide the expression of shock that made it to her face. "How in Agni do you know it's me and not someone else." She asked incredulously.

"Outwith my dad you're the only person that would attempt to sneak up so close." She could hear the smirk on his face from the tone in his voice.

"What are you doing out at this time, you should be below deck?" Azula asked.

"I could ask you the same princess. You've been up in the deck for a while now. I know when I'm being watched." Percy replied as he stood up. He turned to face her.

"If you must know I've had maps and strategic notes to go over." Azula lied effortlessly. "That however doesn't explain what you're up to."

Percy simply smiled at her. "It's hard to explain."

"Try me." Azula retorted.

"Being out here in the open ocean. Surrounded by the seas. It's just engerizing. I feel so alive that I can't rest. The waters just constantly calling to me." Percy tried to explain.

Azula looked at him slightly puzzled. "Why? That doesn't sound like any bending I've heard off."

"I don't really know. I've had it explained to me as my spiritual connection to my element. I've also had it explained as my waterbending being different." Percy expanded, the two of them had now sat and were looking at each other.

"In what way is your bending different? Aren't you just the youngest waterbending master?" Azula questioned.

Percy chose to ignore the accidental backhanded compliment. "From what I understand, northern and southern waterbenders manipulate the pushes and pulls found within water. Their teachers being the moon and the tides, how they interact with each other." Percy started before taking a breath.

"They mistake the tides for the ocean. But it is so much more than that. I had no waterbending teachers so my philosophy is different, I watched the ocean against the cliffs. One day it could be calm and peaceful, gentle waves glistening under the sun. But the next, it can be storming away, churning swells battering the rock face. Just as it can be the most destructive force of nature, water also soothes, and heals."

Azula listened to Perseus' explanation carefully. Trying to understand his view on the element.

"You don't need to force the pushes and pulls of water for it to do your bidding. Being like water itself; unconquerable, formless, everchanging, flowing; and spiritually connecting with it beyond what it naturally is. It became an extension of myself. If I will it, water answers."

Water droplets were zooming and dancing around them. Yet Percy hadn't moved a hand nor a finger. Azula could only look in at the water with a slight sense of wonder. It was an incredible showcase of talent.

"But you are correct Zula. We should be getting rest. I'll escort you to your quarters.

"Azula." The princess corrected with a warning look.

The Eastern Air Temple

Nestled amongst towering peaks and swirling clouds they had come across the ruined sanctuary of the eastern air temple. The complex was perched precariously amongst the mountains. Intricate pagodas and walkways seamlessly weaved themselves like ivy.

The pair had searched extensively the day before. Hunting down any sign of the Avatar, yet their search bore no fruit.

They entered a circular courtyard where a tanned elderly man was meditating.

"AVATAR!" Zuko roared.

The guru looked at them confused and the Prince was ready to attack. He prepared to charge at the ancient man who was surely the avatar who disappeared one hundred years ago.

Before he could move he felt his uncle's hand grab him tensely by the shoulder.

"He is not the avatar, nephew. Forgive us Guru Pathik." Iroh apologised to the old man.

"You know him uncle." Zuko demanded an answer to his confusion.

"I have heard of him."

"Just as I have heard of you two. General Iroh, Prince Zuko."

Zuko stared at the elder man incredulously. He still had no clue who he was.

"Do you care for some onion-banana juice?" The guru asked, holding out a hollow coconut shell.

"I don't care for your disgusting juice. Who are you! Where is the avatar?" Zuko pressed. His amber eyes glaring daggers into the ancient man.

"Nephew do not be so disrespectful." Iroh scolded.

"It is alright. You have been in deep suffering throughout your journey. Though I may have some guidance that you seek."

"What do you mean?" Zuko's eyes narrowed.

"The spirits sent me a dream. One in which I saw you and the avatar, a boy with blue arrow tattoos, standing together at the Fire Nation royal palace."

It was his destiny. Zuko was going to regain his honour.

/

Zuko and his uncle had seeked refuge in one of the many buildings. Iroh was brewing a tea, the smell of jasmine floated in the air. Zuko's focus was on a letter in his hand.

He had received it just recently, the sixth one he had gotten from his friend. Even though they parted on bad terms Percy had written to him once a month trying to reach out.

Hey Zuko,

I hope you are doing well. I know you're nearing the eastern air temple, uncle Iroh's been keeping me updated.

This whole tour of the islands has been incredibly boring. Would've been much better if you were able to have been here helping cause some chaos or making something interesting happen.

We're now making our war towards the colonies. I think I overheard the captain say we were heading to Yu Dao. I'm not too sure though.

Not going to ask Azula, she doesn't seem in the best of moods. We might be getting along well enough but I have no interest in getting on her bad side again.

Please write back. I miss you, I'd like to hear how you're doing.

From Percy.

Zuko folded the note and stashed it away into an inner pocket. His uncle passed him a cup of tea.

"You should write back to Percy nephew, it will help ease your mind." Iroh wisely suggested.

Zuko ignored him, his eyes getting lost in the tea as it swirled in his cup.

/

Colonial Waters, Bay of Yu Dao

Azula wasn't happy to be returning to Yu Dao. If she had it her way this would be the last colony she would visit. But here the princess was, the familiar view of the city brokered the horizon, nestled in a mountain valley. A winding road snaked down the hillside to a small port.

CRACK

Lightning escaped her finger tips, arcing into the sky. Of course it had to be Yu dao.

BOOM

Electricity rocketed through the air.

SNAP

Azula had been ignoring her friends for hours at this point. She had been practicing the same form repeatedly. The watchful eyes of her bodyguard never leaving her.

Another bolt shot from her fingertips. Her annoying bodyguard. She knew the moment she finished training he'd be over pressing for what troubled her mind.

Why couldn't he be more like Mai or Ty Lee? They had hidden to the depths of the ship long ago but he had remained.

CRACK

Lightning coursed to the heavens. She just wanted to be left alone. A small part of Azula however, appreciated the company.

'Weak.' The familiar voice quietly mocked within.

More electricity danced through the sky. She turned to face the other side of the boat. Hoping that no longer having him in eyeshot she might find some peace.

It continued that way for several minutes, her mind slowly silencing.

A bolt made of ice raced through the sky to her left. Oh for Agni's sake. The princess thought to herself. She turned to face her bodyguard, her mind no longer lost on the approaching city.

"Why won't you leave me alone?" She halted at him.

Percy only looked at her with a soft smile. "Well, I think that goes against the job description." He joked but her glare never faltered.

"But even if it wasn't my job, I'm worried about you. What's wrong?"

That foreign tone again. The same from when he had cut her with ice during their first duel.

"I'm fine." She steeled herself, refusing to waver under his swirling sea green eyes.

Percy's look never left her. His gaze peered through her false facade. He knew she was lying.

"Azula." He finally spoke, his voice soft and warm.

"I know I'm not the sharpest sword but I know when you're lying. What's wrong?"

'What isn't wrong with you." The voice ridiculed her.

"I just want peace!" She snapped at him.

He didn't flinch. Percy's green eyes tore right through her.

"It's okay to not be okay. But you don't have to face that journey alone. You're stuck with me, so you might as well open up."

Azula was frozen still. She didn't know how to react or reply to Percy's words. Her breathing became slightly heavier as she tried to from a sentence.

"I didn't want to come back here. Not after last time. Azula replied quietly.

"What happened last time?" Percy pressed. Azula wanted to protect answering but knew it would get her nowhere.

Azula sighed, dark memories flashing in her mind. "The assassination attempt." Her voice barely a whisper. She didn't know why her walls were crumbling, but she felt slightly at ease beside him.

"You aren't going to have to worry about the rebels. We've got the full squad together, they ain't gonna know what's hit them." Percy joked with a small laugh.

Azula giggled slightly. Her mind felt moderately more at peace. Percy's eyes filled with an emotion the Princess didn't recognise.

"I swear by Agni your head must be filled with nori."

/

War Room, Governor's Palace, Yu Dao

"What do you know about the rebel camps?" Azula pressed.

"We know that there are several throughout the Garsai mountain range. We know of one earthen fortress at the source of the river that comes through the city." The governor answered.

The Princess thought over the words for a moment. "Do you have any intelligence reports on the fortress?"

The governor looked at her gravely. "Unfortunately the last five squadrons we sent out were all killed. We do suspect they're led by an Earth kingdom Captain but we don't have the bodies to spare."

"With the might of the royal precession those pesky rebels will be an issue no more." Azula smirked.

"And you've got us. We'll kick their ass Mr Governor." Ty Lee's bubbly voice chimed.

"I'm looking forward to the fight." Percy grinned.

Mai's monotone voice joined in. "You can count me in."

Authors Note

Before we go any further, 10 chapters in less than a month. I'm so chuffed with how this story has been progressing. A massive shoutout to everyone who keep reading, if it wasn't your continued support I would've stopped by now, much love guys 3

Big shoutout to my younger brother who's been reading this story; look forward to hearing your thoughts on this one.

And another massive shoutout to my best mate Sherry, thanks for reading and your many tidbits of advice, love you bro.

Definitely been on a bit of a journey writing this chapter. Was massively indecisive on how I wanted this and the next chapter to work, originally was going to keep them as two separate chapters, one focused on Percy/Azula crew; the other following Zuko and Iroh.

But since I wanted these chapters to take place over the course of the remainder of 97AG, and the first part of 98AG, I thought I would combine them before deciding against that. That would end up with an even more horrifically long chapter that I don't think would have actually flowed as well.

So this has largely focused on Percy and Azula's journey around the islands and colonies and slowly growing friendship, with the occasional Zuko scene. The next chapter is essentially going to be the inverse of this. A Zuko and iroh heavy chapter with the occasional scene from Percy or Azula's group.

As always I'm going to personally reply to some reviews.

Cruden: I loved writing the duel so I'm happy you've enjoyed! And yeah ozai definitely doesn't care about Father's Day.

Trife: The moment I decided Percy could make lightning of ice, I knew I wanted to use it against Azulas lightning first. Ice gets some mad use in ATLA, especially by Pakku so look forward to utilise more of that stuff in the future.

Yeah mate the typos the last two chapters have been quite bad. Wrote this one and the two previous all on my phone between work shifts. I do plan on revisiting all the chapters after I write the next one just to polish and edit them up.

I was actually struggling to organically introduce Mai. I thought out of all them it would be the one Percy would know something about due to Zuko, so I decided not to shoehorn it in the earlier chapters and save it for this one.

I think Zuko is the best written character arc in the entire show, so I don't want to fuck with it too much, but maybe add more to the dynamics of it all with Percy.

Skelconpeverell: he couldn't leave without saying goodbye. I'm sure their paths will cross again.

Guest: Percy loves to win but he's also interested in living. I think for Azula we don't see enough of her struggles until too late into the show. If you read between the lines you can see there's only one thing she fears and why. That's what torments her to do what she does. But won't say anything more than that.

Anonymous: I hate it too but it won't be gone forever. Irohs still going to be dropping spiritual wisdom bombs. Percy will still have Piandao as well and we'll see some fatherly advice come his way at times. Yeah Percy's powerful, but going into more of a rundown with the next review.

Ltbutterfly247: I'm honestly struggling to word a reply. Yes 'bending' may be obsolete compared to will power as Percy showcases in the books, however Percy at 15 in this story compared to the books had a much more refined control of his water abilities. He had no issue controlling the temperature of water, or manipulating it as ice, mist, or steam. He's also shown the control of other liquids which he didn't learn until later in the books. Bending promotes this refinement, all he's done his whole life is train, he's had an entirely different upbringing.

I don't get the idea that I've written Azula to be sociopathic and sadistic at any point. She is snide, tricky, deeply troubled, and struggling. Read between the lines in the scenes between her and Ozai. It's quite clear to see without me stating exactly what is going on. Why she might be this way. Let the story flow before you come to such harsh conclusions.

Superhero01: Thank you as always mate. I love writing the Percy Azula scenes. The training was great fun to work out. Yeah he loves his old man and why wouldn't he. Dude has such bangers as, "try Lee, there's a million Lee's."

Shoutout to everyone who's followed and favorited since the previous chapter. I'm honestly shocked that we've somehow started to push 200 follows already. It's absolutely mind blowing. If you've enjoyed this chapter please follow and favorite to join in on the journey.

Please leave a review. I've absolutely loved reading them all. I want to hear everyone's thoughts and opinions, or even if you have a question.

Thanks for reading if you've come this far.

Take care,
