"C.O.P.S Case file 170239, Case of the bridal bandit," said Bulletproof as letters started coming onto the file with the number
"It was a beautiful spring morning in Empire City," Bulletproof narrated.
"Some people say that Love is in the air and that they should be happy with their soulmates, but sometimes that love can take a dangerous turn for someone you love or that could lead to a disaster, But always leading to true love winning in the end, here's how the caper went down," he narrated as the scene settled on an airport where a familiar almost bald white-haired man was standing where the chairs are with Flowers in his hands as he was waiting on someone
Right behind him are two of the C.O.P.S. Officers.
"Thank you both for coming with me to pick up my niece from the airport, " said The Mayor turning towards them
"More like we don't have much of a choice in the matter," Mace said.
"It's just that I haven't seen my niece in a long time since she started school in Malibu, " said The Mayor looking up and down for her
"And she would be an ideal kidnap target," Longarm added.
Just then a long orange-haired girl with green eyes in a summer dress came running up to her uncle
"Uncle!" The mayor's niece said
The mayor looked at the woman and hugged her "Samantha, Welcome to Empire City, I'm so happy to see you again, " said The mayor
"I'm happy I was able to come," Samantha said.
"Boys, this is my beautiful niece, Samantha, " said the mayor talking to the two C. O. P. S.
"Nice to meet ya," Mace said
"Hi, " said Longarm
"Gentlemen, please get my niece's belngs," the mayor asks.
The C. O. P. S got about 3 each of Samantha's six luggage and started heading out to the door to the cars
From the shadows, a figure was watching them.
The figure got out a camera and started taking pictures of Samantha
The figure leaves before anyone sees them.
Meanwhile, the mayor was talking with his niece in the limo
"How have your classes been?" The mayor asks.
"They have been doing excellent, and not only am I getting straight A's, but I'm also helping the environment by going green and doing a project on using recyclables on cleaner air and water, " said Sam
"That's great," the mayor said.
"I'm so glad that I get to see you again Uncle, it's been too long and I hope everything is okay, " she said
"I wish you would have visited more often but with Big Boss, his gang and the other crooks Empire City became a dangerous place," the mayor said
"Oh no, I hope everyone is safe and hearing from your letters, you hire those wonderful C. O. P. S to protect the city, " said Samantha looking out of the window of the limo at the city
"Thanks to C.O.P.S. Things are somewhat under control." The mayor said.
"That is good to hear, also I wanted to tell you something I am kinda in love, " she said as she blushed
"WHAT!?" The mayor shouted.
"Plus lately wherever or whenever I go with my friends, I feel like someone is following me, " said Samantha as she closed her eyes
"WHAT!?" the mayor shouted even louder than before.
"Uncle, please that's why I'm worried about you, " begged Samantha
Then the car door was forced open by Mace.
"Sir, is something wrong, " asked Mace
"I will tell you once we reach C.O.P.S. Headquarters!" The mayor answered as he closed the door.
They drove off heading toward the HQ unaware that they were being followed
They reach C.O.P.S. Headquarters in a matter of minutes.
"BULLETPROOF!" screamed the mayor as he along with Samantha, Mace, and Longarm came into the room
"Yes, mayor?" Bulletproof asks as he leaves his office.
"I need to speak with you in the office please, you stay here Samantha, " said the mayor
"Okay, Mayor," Bulletproof said as he and the mayor went back into his office.
"But Uncle, please, you're overreacting so please calm down, " said Samantha but the mayor closed the door before she reasoned with him
"What was that about?" Mainframe question.
"Don't know, " said Mace as Samantha looked at the office while worried about her uncle then she turned and told everything that happened in the limo
"He's just worried about you," Mainframe said.
"Yes, but he should know that I can handle things on my own, I mean I'm not weak like a little girl, I can easily handle things on my own, also the boy I love is named Ethan, he's kind, smart and he's a great guy, " said the worried girl to Mainframe
"And you don't know who is following you," Mainframe said.
"No, lately I sometimes get a weird feeling like someone is following me wherever I go, " said Samantha
"Given the fact you're the mayor's niece you're an ideal target for kidnapping," Mace said.
"I suppose so, But what worries me is that I love Ethan, but Uncle seems to not like the idea, " said Samantha
"It's just because he's worried about whoever has been watching and following you," Mainframe said.
"Yeah, same with Longarm when he loved his son and Wife, " said Mace to Samantha
"Even if his son helps us with their cases," Mace said.
"Yeah so no worries about your uncle, he's just looking out for his family, " said Mainframe as they heard the sound of the office door opening
Inside of Bullet-proof's office.
"Mayor, please I think it's gonna be a bad idea for Samantha, " said Bulletproof to the mayor
"And doing nothing is the worst!" the mayor said.
"But your niece won't like the idea, " said Bulletproof
"It's either that or have some of your offices be assigned to be Samantha's bodyguards!" The mayor countered.
"Maybe, that's not a bad idea, " thought Bulletproof as the mayor saw Samantha talking with Mace, and that gave him an idea
"Let's how about Mainframe, Longarm, Highway, Bowser, and Blitz!" the mayor said.
They each went up to the mayor as Samantha and Mace saw her uncle talking to the cops
"So which will it be Bulletproof?" the mayor questioned.
"But who else would agree to the idea, " asked Bulletproof as the Mayor saw Mace and saw his perfect candidate talking with Samantha
'Me and my big mouth,' Bulletproof thought.
"He will do nicely, MACE, " called the mayor as Mace rushed over to him and Saluted "Need something sir?" he asked
"Why yes I do I need you to fake marry my niece," the mayor answered.
"WHAT, " shouted both Samantha and Mace when the mayor said those words
"We should tell them in my office," Bullproof said.
"Come you two lucky couple, " said the mayor as Mace and Samantha walked with them to Bulletproof's office and started discussing with them
'Oh boy, Nightshade won't like this,' Mainframe thought.
"But Uncle, this is going too far, just because I'm in love with someone, that doesn't mean I should get married, you agree with me right Mace, " said Samantha to Mace
"I said fake marriage which means it's a trap," the mayor told his niece.
"Oh, phew but how will it work," asked Samantha as she was confused about it all
"It would be like putting on a play while it may seem to be real it is all fake whoever is stalking you shows up, and then the good officers of C.O.P.S. arrest them," the mayor answered.
"I suppose, but what about you Mace, are you okay with going through with it, " asked Bulletproof to Mace
"It's a job like any another," Mace answered.
"So you'll do it, " asked the mayor
"Yes," Mace said.
'But my girl won't like it,' he thought.
"Excellent but one problem, where would we have it, " said Samantha
"A hotel it would be more easy and less costly to have the fake wedding in one of those," the mayor said.
"Which hotel, there's thousands of them here in Empire City, " said Bulletproof
"Anyone that doesn't allow the stalker a chance to escape," the mayor said.
"What about that hotel where the Big Boss had that wedding for Berserko and Jenny," asked Bulletproof
"Hmm that could work," the mayor said
"What about you Samantha, you okay with it, " asked Mace
"If it means that we stop the creep so be," Samantha answered
"Excellent, we'll have a fake wedding at the hotel, " said the Mayor as Samantha and Mace looked at each other then out the window
Meanwhile somewhere else.
"This is Whitney Morgan coming to you live on the news as we just heard from the mayor himself that his beautiful niece Samantha will be getting married here in Empire City, " said the news reporter on TV as a shadow figure clenched his hand as the TV showed Samantha and Mace
Nightshade was watching the news at her booth, and she didn't like it.
"MY FIREPLUG IS GETTING WHAT!?" shouted Nightshade
Everyone else in the diner jumps at that.
"NO WAY AM I LETTING MY FIREPLUG MARRY SOMEONE ELSE BUT ME, " she shouted as a phone booth rang and it was for Nightshade
She went to the phone booth.
"Hello, who is this, " she asked as the voice offered her a business offer, she smiled at the deal as the voice also told her about a plan
"A friend who is just as unhappy about the news of the mayor's niece getting married," a voice she doesn't know said.
"It's a done deal and if it works, I'll have my fireplug for life, " she said
"Then we see eye to eye we will meet at the cafe across the hotel," the voice said.
"But who is this, and why tell me the plan, " she asked
"I won't tell you who I am since you're dating the C.O.P.S. officer who is try marring Sam and we have the same goal in mind to wreck that wedding," the voice answered.
"Wait how did you know I love Mace, " she asked confused
"You were very loud," the voice answered.
"My bad, so what time and which cafe are we meeting I can't wait to steal my fireplug from the bride who is a perfect match for you, " she said
"An hour from now, and if everything goes as planned we will get the people desired," the voice said
"You just got yourself a deal, partner, " said Nightshade smiling
"See you soon partner," the voice said as they hung up.
"Sorry for the disturbance folks," said Nightshade to all the people in the diner
She then leaves the diner.
"Don't you worry fireplug, I'll be there very soon, " she said
With the fake bride and groom.
"Hope you're not getting cold feet, Mr. Mace, because I might have them, " said Samantha
"It's just a rehearsal the fake wedding is tomorrow," Mace answered.
"Well yes, but Ethan loves me for who I am, do you have a sweetheart, Mr. Mace, " asked Sam
"Yes, I do but I'm focused on the job," Mace answered
"That's the problem, we sometimes get too focused on what we do best, one day we might lose the love of our lives, " said Samantha as she looked out the window into the clouds
"If I wasn't my gal won't have changed her ways," Mace said
"Who is she and is it working that you are helping her change her ways, " asked Samantha as she looked at Mace and then at what she was wearing
Samantha wears a lime green, off-the-shoulder crop top trimmed with blue. On the top, a violet flower extends into three strands of fabric and connects to the back of the shirt. Her pants are blue, the same as the trimmings on the shirt, with a lime green flower on it. She wears pink and blue/green striped high-heeled sandals.
"She must be important to you, " said Samantha
"You have no idea," Mace said.
As they were practicing, they didn't know that they were being watched
At the cafe, there is a figure wearing a light tan trench coat with a matching hat.
He looked at his watch and then at the door as a certain red-head came in wearing a trench coat and high heels coming to where the figure was
"Over here," the figure said.
She took a seat and started planning with the figure
"What is the plan?" Nightshade questions.
"We will attend this wedding and kidnap the bride and the groom for ourselves, " said the figure
Nightshade gives the figure a deadpan look.
"But I got some boys inside the hotel they are having a wedding in by cutting out the power and to help us ensure, " said the figure as he continued talking with the plan and then asked Nightshade for ideas
"Pump the air vents with knock-out gas," she started.
"Ooh, excellent, even better, tell me more, " the figure asked
"An EMP changer so some of the C.O.P.S. Equipment would be out for some time," Nightshade said
"Even more Excellent, " said the figure
"And slash the wheels of their vehicles," Nightshade said.
"NOW that is a plan, " said the figure
"Thank you and keep your voice down," Nightshade said.
"Sorry about that, " said the figure looking around
The two went on planning their dirty deed.
They shook hands with each other
Later at the fake bachelor party.
The male cops had the sounds of a bachelor party playing while they laid out the plan for tomorrow.
"Everything set, " asked Bulletproof
"We're seated sir," Longarm said.
"Great, " said Bulletproof
"So far we have most of the equipment set up both in and outside of the hotel," Bulleyes said.
"Good, " said Bulletproof
"And just in case of an EMP we have some normal cops set up in key locations," Highway said.
"That's great, you gonna be okay Mace, " asked Bulletproof
"I'm doing fine sir but did you ask someone to inform you know who?" Mace asks.
"Don't know, why, " answered Bulletproof
"If Nightshade doesn't know then Samantha's stalker would seek her out as an ally," Mace answered.
"Right, I'll have Mainframe get on it, " said Bulletproof as he left the room
At the fake bridal shower the female C.O.P.S. Officers did the same as their counterparts and made the outside think a lively party was happening while Mainframe and Mirage guard Samantha, said a girl couldn't only her friends or boyfriend knew her wedding was fake.
"Samantha? Do you need anything?" asked Mainframe
"My friends, I just need to tell them, also something to drink please, " she said
"I'm sorry you can't tell your friends until your stalker is arrested," Mainframe said as she went to the refrigerator.
"I know but they are my friends plus they are in the wedding party right, " she asked
"No they aren't the wedding is a trap if they came your stalker will use one of them as a hostage," Mirage answered.
"Oh, " said Samantha Sadly
"Plus we don't know what connections your stalker might have here in Empire City," Mirage added.
Mainframe hands Samantha a can of soda.
"I guess your right, " said Sam as she drank some Soda
"Thank you Mainframe, I needed that, " said Samantha as she looked over to where her wedding dress was hanging on a mannequin
The dress had nothing special on it.
"I just hope everything goes to plan, " thought Samantha
Then they heard a knock on the door.
"The cake is vanilla," Mainframe said
"The flowers are cherry," said the voice behind the door
Mainframe opened the door
Bulletproof walks in.
"Hello Bulletproof, everything's good here, " said Mainframe saluting
"Mainframe I came to ask you to find and inform Nightshade about the trap," Bulletproof asks
"But sir, it might be too late, " she answered
"Why is that?" Bulletproof asks
"Also you said that until the stalker is arrested, no one should know that the wedding is a trap, " said Mainframe
"But if Nightshade doesn't know then she will help the stalker," Bulletproof said.
"He does have a point, Mainframe, " said Samantha
"She is the jealous type," Mirage added.
"Wait, how did Nightshade fall in love with Mace, " asked Samantha
"It's a long story," Bulletproof, Mainframe and Mirage said together.
"I happen to like long stories, must be romantic for her to be with the one she loves, " said Samantha.
"Mirage, you tell the story while me and Mainframe try to find Nightshade and tell her what's truly happening," Bulletproof said.
"Right sir, " said Mirage
Bulletproof and Mainframe leave the room.
"Please tell me, " asked Samantha
Mirage started.
She also explained that Mace is the real reason why Nightshade is reforming
At Nightshade's apartment.
Nightshade was brushing her red hair as she looked at a picture of Mace and she kissed her two fingers, placing the kiss on the photo
Then she heard a knock at her door.
"Coming, " she said
She opens the door and sees Bulletproof and Mainframe.
"You two, " she said
"I know you must be mad right now, but we need to tell you something so please can we talk inside?" Bulletproof asks.
"Maybe why, " she said
"It's about his wedding," Mainframe said.
"I know, he's getting married, " said Nightshade
"Trust us there's more to this than you know," Bulletproof said.
"What are you saying, " asked Nightshade
"Let's us inside and we will tell you! A person's life might be in danger," Mainframe said.
"Okay, " said Nightshade as she let them in and closed the door behind them as they started talking
They then tell her the real reason behind the wedding.
"So that's it, " Nightshade gasped
"Yes, it is," Bulletproof said.
"I had no idea, so that means, " she said
"That means what?" Mainframe questions.
"Mace loves me, he does love me, all this time I have been with him, also he's helping save Samantha from her stalker, " said Nightshade
"That he does and the reason we're telling you that most likely the stalker will seek you out," Bulletproof said.
"Oh my, But I'll let you both know if I ever see this stalker person, " said Nightshade
"What!?" Both said
"I meant when I come to the fake wedding and help catch this stalker, " corrected Nightshade
Since I did help them already," Nightshade thought.
"Alright Nightshade, see ya at the ceremony, " said Mainframe as they started heading out the door
"That was close," Nightshade said to no one.
"So Don't worry about Mace, it's only to catch the stalker, and once it's over, he's all yours, " said Mainframe
She then went to her bedroom.
"So it's a fake wedding huh, " Nightshade thought to herself
The day of the fake wedding.
Everyone is in position while both the fake bride and groom are getting ready
Outside so was the stalker and Nightshade.
"You ready to do this Nightshade, " the stalker asked
"I'm ready," she replied.
'More than you know,' she thought.
"Then let's begin, " said The stalker
Nightshade follows the stalker.
"Here we go, " she thought
Inside the hotel keyboard player starts playing 'Here Comes the Bride'.
Mayor Davis was walking Samantha down the aisle to where Mace is
Both C.O.P.S. and the police officers keep their out for the stalker.
Mace looked at Samantha as he took her by the hand and the priest started
"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today," the priest started.
"To join Samantha Davis and Colt "Mace" Howards in Holy Matrimony, " he said as Samantha looked around
The stalker and Nightshade were setting up their gear.
"All set, now let's get to work, " said the Stalker
Nightshade nodded.
Meanwhile back to the fake wedding
'Come on creep where are you?' the mayor thought.
"Before we begin, if there is anyone who knows the real reason why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace, " said the priest
Then the stalker's knock-out gas went off.
"Look out, Knock out gas, " said Bulletproof as everyone coughed including the bride and groom
While putting on gas masks.
Nightshade snatched the bride while the stalker grabbed Mace during the confusion
The C.O.P.S. pull out their gear.
"STOP RIGHT THERE, " shouted Bulletproof as the two people ran off with the bride and the groom
He, Longarm and Hard-case follow.
"Au revoir cops, " said the stalker as he poured out gumballs and olive oil on the floor
"What the!?" The C.O.P.S. Said.
They slipped and slid while the kidnappers got down to the first floor The Stalker placed Mace in Nightshade's car next to the driver's seat and Nightshade did the same with Samantha in the Stalker's car
But the stalker's car locks itself and won't start.
"What the, " said the Stalker as he tried to open the door
Law enforcement surrounds the car.
"We're C. O. P. S and you are under arrest, " said Bulletproof as the Stalker got out a smoke Bomb
"How many bombs does this guy have?" Bull-eyes asks.
"Sorry to run, but my bride and I must be on our way, " the stalker said as he threw it on the ground and smoke came out of it
And run into a pole in between the legs.
"Ooooo, that's gotta hurt, " said Bulletproof
'Oh my man berries,' the stalker thought
Bulletproof slapped the cuffs on the stalker while Longarm got Samantha out of the car
While Nightshade's car fogged over.
"I guess Mace doesn't need any help," Mainframe said
"Now let's find out who this Stalker is, " said Longarm as he lifted the hat to reveal a brown-haired boy Samantha recognized him immediately "Ethan, " she gasped
"Who?" the C.O.P.S. officers minus Mace ask in confusion.
"The boy I was in love with back in Malibu, " said Samantha
"Wait your boyfriend is your stalker!?" The mayor questioned.
"Let me explain this sir, " said Ethan as he went on saying that Samantha didn't care about his wealth or anything, she loved him for who he was and he was afraid of losing her forever, that's why he followed her and wanted to be the one to propose to her for she is his eternal heart and he loved her deeply which deeply moved the mayor and the cops
"Well, no one was hurt or caused that much damage I guess the changes can be dropped and you sure have your "equipment" checked out," Bulletproof said
"Please Mayor Davis, I beg of you for the hand of your niece Samantha and I'll treat her like the beautiful queen she is and together, we float on a sea of moonbeams on wings of love, " said Ethan as he was down on his hands and knees in front of Mayor Davis
"Fine," Mayor Davis answered.
"You mean it, " asked both Samantha and Ethan as Mayor Davis nodded his head and smiled when the young couple hugged each other
"Just get him to a hospital already," Mayor Davis said
They got Ethan to the hospital as he was recovering with Samantha sitting close to him
"Months later Samantha had her real wedding," Bulletproof narrated.
"Mayor Davis was happy for his niece and everyone including Nightshade whose charges were dropped also came to the wedding along with Mace"
