"Ho-what the heck? What's happening today?"

Lana left Hops Jr. in her room to sleep; the frog was tired, and now that Lola was gone, there was nothing to disturb it. She walked out of her room, carefully closing the door behind her. While in her room everything was peaceful and quiet, outside a lot of things were going on. Lynn makes her way out of the house at full speed but crashes with Leni, Lola walking out of the house followed by Leni and Lily, and the attempt of cheering up Luna by Lori and Lucy. An explosion was heard, it must've been Lisa.

The common denominator here was that everyone was sad and stood near her door, trying to find the reason behind this, but somehow it just didn't make sense. She looked at her watch, and suddenly all the points were connected: it was the of the worst of the year.

There was no way to forget that day, not even if she wanted, because…

"No…" she said, her eyes closed and her fists clenched. "I don't want to remember now. I better go and do something else."

Lana went downstairs and walked to the kitchen. She opened a sack of food, and was about to serve it on different plates until something crossed her mind; sure the food from the store was full of nutrients and stuff, but homemade food was more delicious!

She went through the backdoor and walked towards a bush; she knew there had to be a lot of bugs. After a couple of minutes she walked back with a handful of insects ready to be served; she wasn't a fan of killing insects, but she knew as well she had a bunch of animals to care for. In the kitchen, she took meat that was left from diners of days prior, heated it and added a little bit of sauce to give it flavour. Then she grabbed a pair of bottles: one of seeds and the other of kibbles.

She walked upstairs, luckily not meeting with any of her sisters in the way, and walked into her room; not that she didn't want to see anyone right now, but she was prohibited from making food for the animals since that one time where her food accidentally mixed with the dinner, and you can imagine the rest.

As she entered, she witnessed Hops Jr. trying to calm the other frogs who croaked for food. She smiled, and called everyone to eat; as they noticed her, the animals stopped their uproar and calmed down, the frogs watched her expectantly in their habitat and the other pets waited for the food in front of their plates.

The dog and the cat went for the meat, the hamster ate the kibbles and the bird was served seeds on a small cup. The frogs and her lizard attacked the bunch of insects she picked earlier. Once satisfied, the descendants of her former pets walked away to digest the food. Lana watched her pets, now sleeping with their tummies full. After that she resumed her day, doing all the things she had planned, and once finished, she went to see what her sisters were doing.

It wasn't new to see Leni and Lily walking through the door with dozens of bags, or seeing them wanting to put their new clothes in the closet immediately; they (usually Leni) go shopping so often Lana was sure they haven't even used half of the clothes they buy. The others were doing the usual; Lynn kicking a ball, Lisa blowing up things… nothing new.

She walked upstairs, and saw that the door of Luan and Luna's room was closed. She remembered seeing Lori and Lucy trying to cheer her up, maybe she should go and check on her as well.

It didn't cease to surprise her that Luna didn't want to play music anymore, even when it has already been a long time. Lana wasn't her closest sister, but she remembered the time when they shared a room, and how they got along very well since none of them were organized. Well, it was worth a try.

She slowly opened the door, just in case her sister was sleeping. But she was awake. Luna had closed the curtains and turned off all the lights. Her eyes were inexpressive, just staring at the ceiling, but Lana could see the sadness in them.

"Luna?" She asked. The elder sister turned to see her, but then looked away shortly after.

"Hello Lans, hey… I don't want to talk right now, 'kay?"

"It's ok, Luny, I'll just sit here and make you company." Lana responded. She sat beside her and began to caress her hair. Luna appreciated the detail, and Lana noticed that. Soon she felt as her big sister started to relax; though she wasn't the neatest sister in the house, Luna could get to be cute in a way that not even Lola using all her makeup ever could. It didn't matter the situation, Lana was willing to help, and that was just what Luna needed.

Lana was one of the few sisters that really understood how Luna felt; their past shared a mutual pain and unquietness upon that situation. However, none of them wanted to remember…

"Lana," Luna called her with a weak voice. "You still talk to him, don't you?"

But Lana didn't respond.

"I heard Lola caught you… it's okay, sis, I just wanna know… does he mention us?"

Again, silence.

"I see. Well, if he ever does it… if you ever talk to him please tell him…"

But Luna didn't get to finish; after weeks of not sleeping well, and with the warm, sweet hand of her sister caressing her hair, she fell asleep. Lana made sure she was properly covered before leaving the room. She closed the door slowly, and rested her head against it. Luna was right, she's been talking with him, and if she didn't say anything it was because she knew some of her sisters wouldn't take it as well as Luna did; Lola was the proof, and if she was afraid to tell the others, now she was justified.

But she missed him. She missed him more than anything in the world.

She would've gone and searched for him, but she didn't have the money or somebody to go with her. Wanting to find him and remember what happened are two different things.

She tried to take those thoughts away. Fortunately, a flashing light coming from Lisa and Lily's room caught her attention. She walked and peaked in.

"Hi Lisa, what are you doing?" The blonde asked.

Hello, Lana. Don't worry, I'm just making sure everyone's ok." Lisa responded. From a watch-like device on her wrist, multiple holograms appeared, showing the different rooms of the house from several angles.

"Are you spying on us?" Lana inquired.

"Worry not, elder fraternal unit. I just access the recordings every other day." Lisa explained. "I've erased the ones from our private rooms; what I've seen… isn't what you'd call 'good'."

Lisa may talk with fancy words, but Lana understood what she meant.

"We all feel the pain, don't we?"

"Yes." Lisa said, her voice sounded just as sad as Lana's. "The truth is that none of us can forget him. How could we? How can someone avoid the desires of the heart?"

Lana didn't now. Her sisters didn't know. When the person you love the most hurts you, or you hurt them, your entire world falls apart.
