Things inside the Loud house were not the same as they used to since that day. The once noisy, crowded hallways were now as empty as a ghost town. The silence in the house was so much you could hear your own thoughts, it was sometimes frightening. The sisters were too busy grieving their loss they didn't even wanted to go outside of their rooms, all they did all day was stay in their beds and trying not to think about that. Luna, especially, was the most affected; she stopped eating, she completely stopped writing songs, hell she wouldn't even play her guitar, which was accumulating dust at one corner of the room. The other sisters tried their best to forget by doing what they loved: Lana tried to fix Vanzilla from that damn noise in the alternator, Lisa tried to start new investigations, Luan tried to work on new material for her routines...but they all had something in common: lack of inspiration. It didn't matter how much they tried, they couldn't just forget it like that.
But there was another reason they didn't come out of their rooms: Lincoln.
Positions had switched, now they were the ones who didn't want to meet with him. They couldn't, it hurt too much to even say 'good morning'. They knew it was selfish, but they couldn't help it.
Currently all the sisters were gathered at Lori and Leni's room in one of their Sister meetings.
"Alright," Lori started. "Let's start with this, anybody have something to say?"
Nobody responded. "Well, that'll save time." she replied.
"Why the heck did you call us?" Lana asked.
"Okay girls, I believe we all agree that our plan was a total failure." she said. "We no longer can make a move on him. Any objection?"
Again, nobody responded. "Okay. Now, about Sam...I believe it's the best if we let things follow their course. I know it's painful, but it is what it is."
Nobody wanted to let go, they refused to believe that everything was over; they wanted to seek for a small bit of hope to hold on to. But they all knew that all hope was lost. If there was something they all agreed was that there was something positive they could find of this situation...they could finally do something good for their brother; they all decided to let him be happy, even if that happiness was not from one of them they would no longer interfere.
Lincoln had been dating Sam for several months now, and in those months they had seen him happier than ever, even happier than when he spent time with them. They would go out on dates or do simpler things such as walk on the park. Lincoln had even met Sam's parents; her father wasn't the stereotypical overprotective father, he was actually a pretty cool guy. Her mom was the sweetest person you could ever meet. They didn't seem to mind at all the age difference, and were very happy to see their daughter was finally making her own life with such a gentleman.
Lincoln never mentioned that the letter was a mistake, he never said who made it or the reason why it was originally written. In all those months, he got to know how Sam had fallen in love with him. It all started when the blonde began to notice how puberty had been pretty generous with him. His features were sharper, he had grown taller (he was a couple of centimeters taller than her despite the age difference), and his body was more muscular. Sam understood that he was her best friend's brother, but couldn't help to be attracted to him.
That attraction turned into love when she saw the huge heart that was inside that strong chest; she witnessed every act of kindness towards his sisters whenever she was at their house; he never had to think twice when one of his sisters asked him to help them with their problems: from finding Lana's missing frog pet to model Leni's newest designs. And not just his sisters, but everyone who needed a helping hand. Those small actions were enough for her to be sure that she felt something for him, but when she actually got to speak with him, to know him deeper, she confirmed that she was in love.
"So..." Lori said. "All in favor?"
The silence that followed was uncomfortable. They all wanted to oppose, to say something that made them change their minds and continue their journey to get Lincoln's heart; they all wanted to do something to separate them. But they also knew that nothing would ever work, Lincoln loved Sam, and they were powerless to do anything.
"I believe it's for the best..." Luan commented. "I mean, she's a good girl and all."
"Luan's right," Lynn followed. "She's a nice girl, we should be happy that it's her who Lincoln fell in love with and not some skank wanting to play with his heart..."
"Yeah," Lola commented. "And that saves us the 'get to know her' part; we already know how good she is..."
"That's right," Leni said "And who's better to confirm that than Luna! Isn't that right, Luny?"
Though the second eldest of the Loud sisters spoke with that innocence that was so characteristic of her and her words weren't meant to be mean, the other sisters couldn't help to stare at her with disapproval in their eyes. Leni immediately comprehended the mistake she had just made. "Oh, uh, I-I'm sorry, Luna..."
They all turned to their sister with short, brown hair, she had been sitting on the bed, leaning against the headboard of the bed and hugging her knees to her chest; Luna hadn't say anything since the meeting started, all she has been doing all this time is stare at the covers with empty eyes. She didn't even bother in changing into her usual attire, she was still wearing her sleep wear.
"H-Hey, Luna," Lily started. "Are you okay?"
Luna sighed as she sat in the edge of the bed, resting her hands at each side and staring at the rugged floor. "We...don't really have a choice, do we?" It was all she said before getting up and walking towards the door. She got out of the room, closing the door behind her. The sisters did nothing to stop her, they knew she didn't wanna be there in the first place.
After a silence that lasted several seconds, Lisa was the first one to speak. "Was that all you wanted to speak about in this meeting, sister?"
"No," Lori replied. "Now that we have concluded with the first point, let's proceed to talk about the second one. I know we all are hurt buy this, but it's obvious that Luna is feeling the hit far worse."
"She barely has done anything than staying in bed, she barely has eaten anything and she left her band," Lucy commented. "It worries me that she might try to do something stupid..."
"Please don't say that, Lucy!" Lola said. "S-She could never do something like that!"
"Girls, girls," Lori interrupted. "We all are worried for her...I suggest we all try to forget our pain for a while, and focus on try and help her to get through this..."
The sisters thought about it for a moment. Some thought it was unfair to put their suffering aside, but they agreed with Lori, Luna was more affected than them with this situation; Lincoln, the guy she was in love with, straight rejected her to be with Sam, her ex and best friend in the world. In this war, her ship sank after being hit by both flanks.
"You are right, Lori," Lynn commented. "Besides, this too can help us to distract our minds..."
"Alright. Now that we all agree on that, I think there are no more topics to discuss. This sister meeting is over." Lori said. With that, the sisters began to leave the room one by one, hoping to find something that would both help them forget and help Luna to get over this bad moment.
As that Sister meeting occurred, Lincoln had left the house to go and visit Sam.
It didn't matter how many times he was with her, for the albino, every moment he was with Sam felt like heaven. His heart exploded with joy as he hugged he from behind, putting his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder and resting his head on her hair; the sweet scent of her shampoo was like a drug that got him high every time he inhaled it, he couldn't just get enough. It was as if every little thing she did was magic; like listening to her sweet, melodic voice saying his name, gazing at her beautiful, sparkling blue eyes staring at his soul, he had completely fallen for her.
The fact that she also helped him to keep those feelings he developed for his sisters at bay was something he was thankful for. But every day that passed, he felt like he was falling in love even more with her; he didn't care all the obstacles they had to face in the upcoming years, if he was with Sam he'd face them with courage and determination. He'd go to the moon and back if it was necessary.
Currently, Lincoln was heading for the Sharp residence. He was wearing his usual orange polo, but used his khakis and shoes instead of jeans and sneakers. He was holding a bouquet of roses for Sam, originally he didn't plan to give her something, but he saw them and just couldn't resist.
Sam had invited him to eat lunch at her house this morning, and he gladly accepted. Things in the house, well, weren't going too good for him right now, his sisters might have stopped doing plans to make him fall in love for them, but...they have distanced. He knew this was one of the few outcomes that could've happened; he honestly hoped that things would be as they used to, but, well, life can sometimes be a bitch.
Now at the door, he rang the bell. He wasn't nervous or anxious, he and Sam's parents get along pretty well; his father had sometimes invited him over just to see the football game, and his mom would sometimes prepare something so he can take it home and share it with his sisters.
Some second passed before the door finally opened. In front of him was Simon, Sam's little brother. The boy had grown over the years and had developed a passion for basketball. Right now he used a Lakers hoodie, shorts and a pair of Jordans. He was holding a basketball ball.
"Sup, Lincoln." Simon greeted.
"Hey, bro" Lincoln replied. He saw the ball in his hands. "Aren't you having lunch with us today?"
"Got an emergency meeting with the team, we're facing Detroit next Saturday; they won the last time we played, but this time we're gonna come out victorious." he replied. "You're coming to see us, right?"
"Of course I am, I wouldn't miss it for anything." Lincoln responded.
"Thanks, man, I..." Simon was interrupted when his phone beeped. "Shit, I'm late! See you later, dude."
"Take care, champ!" he shouted back. Simon was a really cool dude, but truth be told, his first meeting with Lincoln wasn't the best; he was an overprotective brother who wouldn't just accept a random dude dating his sister. Part of that was because, well, Lincoln was quite famous amongst girls; this led him to believe that he was just a jerk who wouldn't think twice about dumping his sister for someone else. But as time passed, he got to know him; Simon happened to be a huge fan of Ace Savvy, this opened a path for Lincoln to become closer to the boy. Eventually they became friends.
"May I help you, sir?" Someone called from the door. Lincoln returned to reality, and saw his beautiful girlfriend standing against the doorframe. Was his sight deceiving him? Sam looked even more beautiful than ever using a cute sun dress and her hair tied in a ponytail.
Lincoln regained his composure, a beautiful look wouldn't save her that easy. "Why yes, you see, I'm looking for a beautiful lady that happens to be wearing a cute dress, has blonde hair with a blue bang and tied in a ponytail, sparkling blue eyes that can only compare with stars illuminating the night, and has a amazing taste for handsome guys with white hair. I wanted to give her this beautiful bouquet, but since I can't find her, I might have to give it to you."
Sam chuckled and took the flowers. "You can be a dork sometimes, you know that?"
"Well, yes, but that's how you love me." Lincoln leaned in and kissed her. This was one of the many things why Sam fell in love with him. "So, am I late?"
"Actually you're right on time, mom just finished lunch and dad's helping her serving the food." she replied. "You can go and join dad, I'm gonna put these on water and I'll join you." Sam stepped aside and allowed the albino in. She put the flowers on a pot with water so they don't dry out quick.
Lincoln walked towards the dinning room and saw Mr. Sharp in the table using his phone. The man was a 53 years old guy with gray hair, he used a white shirt, jeans and black shoes. he might seem like a though guy, but once you get to know him you'll love him.
"How is it going, Mr. Sharp?" Lincoln asked. The man looked up, seeing his son in law walking towards the table.
"Lincoln, boy!" the man replied, getting up to greet him with a hug. "How you been, son? How's the family?"
"It's great, Mr. Sharp." Lincoln replied. "Hey, you saw the game last night?"
"Yeah," the man sighed. "Damn Steelers wouldn't intercept a ball even if the Ravens were blindfolded."
"Daryl, what I've told you about speaking of sports at the table?" Mrs. Sharp asked, coming from the kitchen with several pans full of food. "Lincoln! It's good to see you!"
"Good to see you too, Mrs. Sharp." Lincoln replied. "That smells delicious!"
"Why, thank you dear," she responded. "But I told you already not to talk about sports with Daryl on the table."
Lincoln blushed with shame. "Hehe, sorry Mrs."
"Come on, Sarah, I'm just talking with Lincoln about last night's game. What's wrong with that?" Mr. Sharp asked.
"You tend to get a little worked up and can't stop criticizing even the ref's dead grandma, that what's wrong." Sam said, arriving at the dinning room. "You two can talk about football all you want in the living room, but now we need to eat."
"Sam's right, honey, we need to be at Nancy's house by 16:30 hours, we only got one hour." Mrs. Sharp said.
"Well then, let's eat." Mr. Sharp said before digging right in the food.
After nearly an hour they were finished. Sam picked up the plates while Lincoln washed them. In the meantime, the Sharp family decided to have a little chat in the living room.
"So, sweetie," Mr. Sharp began. "Your mother and I have been talking for quite some time, and..."
A pause followed, which made Sam raise an eyebrow. "...and?"
"Well," her mom continued. "We came to the conclusion that we're not getting any younger. Therefore..."
Another pause followed. "Therefore what?" Sam asked, a little bit annoyed.
"Listen, you and Lincoln get along really well, we thought that by this time, uh, well..."
Okay, this was straight up bothering her. "Guys, could you please stop playing and be clear?! I don't get what you're trying to tell me!"
Her dad sighed. "Okay. Sam, when are you and Lincoln giving us grandchildren?"
This question was so sudden that Sam almost choked on her own saliva. "DAD!"
"Well, you and Lincoln are two healthy adults, I don't see why you haven't had children." Mrs. Sharp commented. "We don't mind if you don't marry, you know?"
Sam's face was as red as a tomato. This wasn't the first time her parents bring up the topic of having children; whenever they started to try and convince her to have children she would usually dismiss them. But now that Lincoln was in the house and could probably be hearing the conversation it was becoming kind of harder to focus.
"Your mom's right, pumpkin," her father said. "Lincoln is a great guy, and he has a great taste for sports."
This was becoming too much for Sam. She wanted to run to her room and cool off a little bit, but she knew damn well that if she left Lincoln with them, they'd probably do or say something worse. She swallowed her embarrassment to answer.
"Listen, guys, me and Lincoln haven't decided if we want children or not. We're not in ah hurry, we still have plenty of time to decide, so please stop pressuring me!" Sam responded. "Besides, don't you have to go somewhere else?"
"Oh shoot, Sam's right!" Mr. Sharp said, getting up from the sofa and picking up his stuff. "We need to go to Nancy's house by four, we only have thirty minutes!"
"Calm down, Daryl, go and start the engine while I grab my stuff and apply a little makeup" Mrs. Sharp commented. "Sam, honey, we're leaving now. We probably won't be back until late at night."
"Don't worry, mom, I'll have the house clean by the time you get here." Sam replied. "Please just go before Lincoln comes and you say something embarrassing again."
"Don't worry, we're leaving!" her mother said, already out of the house. "Please consider what we talked about!" she said before closing the door behind her.
Sam sat there in the sofa, covering her face with her hands and trying to forget what her parents just said. Did they really loved Lincoln that much? Did they really wanted him to join the family? She didn't even know if Lincoln would accept; yeah he gets along very well with them, but was he ready to take it to the next level?
Truth is...Sam had thought about it in the past. She loved him dearly, and wanted to show her love for him in some way. Honestly, for her, there was no bigger proof of love than giving your body to that special person, to the one who stole your heart. But she was afraid, afraid that she might end up pregnant; she and Lincoln were too young to deal with such responsibility, besides with how expensive diapers are these days it's enough to make you reconsider having children.
But...one part of her wondered how it feels to be a mother, how it feels to carry a life inside you, to feel it kick, move, know that you're carrying a proof of true love. She have seen it in pregnant women before, they look really happy and, just for a brief moment, she felt a need growing inside her. She wanted to experiment that happiness.
"Hey, girl," Lincoln just came from the kitchen, he sat at her side. "Were are your parents?"
"Eh? Oh, they left already. They won't be home till late at night." she replied.
"I see." Lincoln said. He was out of the conversation for quite some time, he didn't get to hear what her parents were talking with her; at one point he thought they'd warn her about things a responsible parent would tell their daughter, like pregnancy and stuff. But he dismissed that thought.
One thing that didn't go unnoticed was how red Sam's face was. "Hey, why are you blushing?" he asked. "Is it that you're with such a stud that you're embarrassed?"
Sam's reply was landing an elbow in his ribs, making the albino groan with pain. "Ouch! Hey, what was that for?" he asked.
"Just shut up and lets watch a movie, okay?" she sentenced. Lincoln didn't complain, he sat and opened the Blisney Plus app in the TV.
The movie wasn't much of Sam's liking, but it was one that Lincoln liked so much that she couldn't say no when he suggested it. To be honest the movie was good, the villain wasn't the typical 'I'm bad because I had a tragic past' he wasn't even bad, he wanted to balance the universe by killing half the life in it; it wasn't essentially bad per se, sure it was bad for humanity but it wasn't out of malice.
"Damn, I can't wait to see the next part!" Lincoln said with excitement. "I didn't see those heroes disappearing into dust, to be honest I thought the more important ones would die."
"Yeah, it was unexpected." Sam replied. She leaned closer to him, resting her head on his chest, hearing his soothing heartbeat and feeling his warmth on her body. She didn't know why, but something inside of her was starting to blossom.
Lincoln put his arm around her and drew her closer. He didn't know why of all sudden she acted this affective, but he didn't complain. Lincoln kissed her head and began to caress her golden hair.
"Lincoln," Sam spoke, raising her head an locking her eyes with his. "You think I'm beautiful?"
Lincoln was speechless. Why was she asking that? He did suspect something was going on when she leaned closer to him, but didn't say anything because he didn't wanted to offend her. Now, he could confirm there was something happening. "Of course you are, luv," he replied. "But why you ask that?"
Sam once more rested her head on his chest. "I sometimes wonder if there are other women who you find attractive; I'm aware of the fame you have with women, and sometimes I fear that you might leave me for somebody else, someone more beautiful..."
Lincoln thought for a moment what could be the best answer to that. "Well, unless that woman was blonde, had a blue bang, her name was Sam Sharp, had an incredible ability with music and was the best girlfriend a dumb guy could ever ask for...you don't have to worry about anything." he replied jokingly. "It doesn't matter how beautiful a girl might be, none of they can compare to you, baby; you're the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on, and that's not the only reason why I love you so much..."
"How come?" Sam asked.
Lincoln sighed. "Well, I don't know if this is the right thing to say in a moment like this, but...before I met you, I tried to be with other women."
Sam did feel that like a low blow, but she understood that it all happened before they even started dating. "And what happened?" she asked.
"They weren't with me because they loved me, they only wanted a friend with benefits, a one night stand, someone they could use whenever they felt like," he said. "They saw me as nothing but an object, a toy they could use whenever they felt like and then throw away when they get bored. It honestly hurt me, and at one point I started to consider to stop dating for good."
A single tear formed on his eye. He thought he was already over this. But, to be honest, talking about this with someone, specially his girlfriend, made him feel like a weight had been lifted from his back. It made him feel liberated.
Sam couldn't help but feel like crying herself too. How could they? How could someone be so heartless, so stupid to treat a beautiful human being as Lincoln was like crap? He was the most caring, loving and kindest person she had ever known.
Sam wiped away the tears that had formed in her eyes, and used her thumbs to wipe away his as well. She felt even more connected with him than ever. She didn't know how but something inside her took control over her body; she gazed at his blue eyes, getting lost in them as she unconsciously cut the distance between their faces. She could feel his breath on her lips, anticipating what was coming. Soon he leaned over and the remaining distance disappeared when their lips met. They kissed softly at first, but as second passed the heat increased and it turned into a more passionate one. Sam introduced her tongue inside his mouth, savouring his saliva and exploring every centimeter; she wanted to love him so desperately that she wasn't thinking straight.
Lincoln reacted in time, breaking the kiss as he gasped for some precious air. "...S-Sam..." he said, but his girlfriend lunged at him once more, and this time more aggressive. She got on top of him, placing both legs at each side of his body and trapping him with no chance to escape. Lincoln could feel the heat of the moment and his body started to react accordingly; his pants started to feel a little too tight in the area of the groin, his hands moved from her hips to her lower back, there they crept their way under her dress and got a firm grip of her ass. This made her let out a moan as she continued to kiss him. Sam wouldn't let him have all the fun, she moved one hand under his shirt, feeling the strong muscles of his core and chest. Her other hand went a little farther down south, getting a hold of his growing dick and beginning to massage it through the fabric of the jeans. Lincoln felt a wave of pleasure travel throughout his body; her scent, her heat, her sole touch was driving him crazy.
Lincoln was on the verge of giving in to his primal instinct, he wanted so bad to be with her, to feel his skin against hers, to be covered in sweat as the musky smell of their lovemaking filled the room...
But that little rational part of him, that was what kept him from accepting his sister's advances was trying to stop him; he knew what the consequences of accepting Sam's offering were. But as strong as his rational side was...it was weak when it came to Sam.
He broke the kiss once more, letting go her ass to put his hands on her shoulders and softly push her away. Lincoln saw her face, her cheeks were burning red and tears formed in the corner of her eyes. She looked so fragile, so beautiful...
"S-Sam, wait," he said with a huskily voice. "Are you s-sure you want to..."
Sam stopped him with another kiss, this was a short one, just enough to let him know what she felt. "At f-first I wasn't, but now I-I can't stop thinking about it..." she responded. "D-Do you...wanna do it?"
This time was Lincoln who took the lead. The albino kissed her, assaulting her mouth with his tongue as one hand went to her ass and the other undid the zipper of her dress. Sam could anticipate what was coming, she wanted so desperately to be with him, to feel her warm, sticky love filling her insides, to-
"Wait..." Sam stopped him.
"What?" he asked. "I-Is something wrong?"
"Nothing, it's just that we can't do it here, it'll be too difficult to cover our traces." she replied. "Let's go to my room."
With that, she got off from him. Lincoln got on his feet, letting out a sigh as he felt the blood flowing to his legs again. Sam took his hand and led him towards her room, where they closed the door and finally consumed their love with a several hours long session of the most primitive and passionate love making.
