Hello again readers. Before we begin, I'm going to answer some of the reviewers' questions. Space-man, I was planning to have Marcia the Martian appear in Clefairy Tales all along. My idea could be that she's accused by that crazy scientist of stealing the stuff and she must prove herself innocent. Mace, when we get to Island of the Giant Pokémon, there will be other robotic Pokémon that weren't seen in original episode. What they are, you'll see. Rapid, I'll take your idea of Ash catching shiny versions of Team Rocket's Pokémon into consideration. Hoot, I plan to have Plucky return in Tentacool and Tentacruel, wanting to claim the reward Nastina is offering to anybody who can exterminate the jellyfish Pokémon. Anyway, on with the show.

Episode 18: Pokémon Shipwreck
(Insert "Cold Blood" from Pokémon)
Holy titanic! Just as a Pokémon pirating plan is prevented by Ash and his friends, catastrophe strikes the St. Anne. The cruise ship capsizes with them trapped on board. The only ones who managed to escape were Fifi La Fume, Shirley the Loon and Fowlmouth. Team Rocket also faces the same horrible fate as the once proud St. Anne plunges deeper and deeper into the depths of the sea. Could this be how it ends?

Everybody who evacuated the St. Anne safely were found by a rescue ship. The first thing that Fifi did once she along with Shirley and Fowlmouth got on was to take out her fury on the captain for his cowardliness. She grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him down to her eye level. "You wretched coward! You were supposed to be ze last person to leave ze ship so zat vous can see to eet zat everybody gets off safely! Whatever happened to women and children first?!" yelled Fifi.
"T-t-that's outdated, right?" asked the Captain.
"Non, eet's not!" said Fifi.
"What's going on?!" asked a voice. It was an Officer Jenny. This one had a hexagon symbol.
"Ze St. Anne captain has been neglectful een doeeng ze evacuations properly!" said Fifi.
"It's true. He didn't stay on the ship as the passengers were evacuating, insisting he gets on first. And because of that, some of are friends were trapped on the ship when it sunk. The people who got trapped are Ash Ketchum & his Pikachu & Zorua, Mary Melody, Buster Bunny, Hamton J. Pig, Dizzy Devil, Bookworm, Misty Waterflower and Brock Harrison," said Shirley. And she used her psychic powers to show her memories as well as the captain's. Seeing what happened made Officer Jenny mad.
"What you did was a violation of your duty as captain of the St. Anne! Because of your actions, some Pokémon Trainers and their friends are trapped!" said Jenny.
"But I . . . I . . . ," said the Captain.
"You are nothing but a cowardly, miserable excuse for a captain! You monsieur, STINK!" yelled Fifi. She then kicked the ship captain right in the rear, sending him flying off the rescue ship screaming. He landed in the water with a loud splash!
"Help! I can't swim!" cried the Captain.
"I'll go fetch the life preserver," said one of the sailors.
"I guess we're gonna have to hold a memorial service," said Jenny.
"No, don't! My psychic powers tell me that they're still alive, but trapped in the ship," said Shirley.
"Are you sure?" asked Jenny.
"My psychic powers have never lied to me. We need to mount a rescue to save them," said Shirley.
"Please, Officer Jenny. Zey are our friends. We've been traveling together to find some other friends who have been scattered across ze Kanto Region. We don't want to lose zem again. Babs would keell us of anytheeng happened to Buster. And I love Ash's Pikachu. I don't want to lose heem just like how Rose lost Jack een ze Titanic movie," said Fifi. Officer Jenny could see the tears in Fifi's eyes.
"Okay. But it's gonna take time to get you a rescue sub and supplies. But rest assured, we'll make sure your friends are rescued safely," said Jenny.
"Merci," said Fifi.
At the sunken St. Anne, Ash was unconscious when he began to hear his friends' voices. "Hey Ash! Answer me!" said Brock.
"Wake up, Ash!" said Misty.
"Wake up!" said Buster.
"Pika Pi," said Pikachu. Ash then began to wake up.
"What?" asked Ash. Then, he saw his friends, but to him, they were upside down.
"Hey, are you feeling okay, Ash?" asked Hamton.
"Pikachu?" asked Pikachu.
"What? Oh brother. What are you talking about am I feeling okay? You guys are the ones who are upside down," said Ash.
"You're definitely the one upside down," said Mary.
"Huh?" asked Ash. He then realized Mary was right. Ash began to fall.
"Look out!" cried Misty. Then, Ash fell on top of Pikachu.
"Pikachu," groaned Pikachu.
"Somebody tell me what in the world happened?" asked Ash.
"Just take a look outside the window," said Dizzy.
"Zorua," said Zorua.
"Huh?" asked Ash. He got off of Pikachu and fish outside the window.
"Fish swimming? This can't be! But that must mean, this ship has sunk!" said Ash.
"We got to find a way off the ship and back to the surface," said Mary.
"If only Shirley and her Abra were with us, she'd be able to teleport us all off in an instant," said Buster.
"Pikachu," said Pikachu in agreement.
"Well we better leave the room and find our own way out," said Ash. He turned the knob to the door, but it wouldn't move. "The door must've got locked after we crashed into the room," said Ash.
"Bookworm, you think you can slip under the door and unlock the door from the outside?" asked Buster. Bookworm nodded and he crawled under the door. After that, he saw that a skeleton key was luckily nearby. He grabbed the key and unlocked the door. Ash and the others exited out.
"Thanks, Bookworm," said Mary. Bookworm squeaked your welcome.
(Insert "Sunbasking" from Pokémon)
Meanwhile, Jessie and James were dreaming that they were sunbathing on the beach. They said their motto as they daydreamed. "To protect the world from devastation!" said Jessie.
"To unite all peoples within our nation," said James.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love. To extend our reach to the stars above," said Jessie & James. Jessie sighed.
"Jessie," said Jessie.
"James with a perfect tan," said James.
"There's nothing like a tropical vacation," said Jessie.
"The blue sea," said James.
"The white sand," said Jessie.
"And the blazing sun above," said James.
"Ah, the sun," said Jessie.
"Yes, that blazing sun. Fiery and burning and burning, burning," said James.

Then, some fire appeared. "BURNING!" cried James.
"Something's really burning!" said Jessie.
"You picked a bad place for a nap!" said Meowth, waking them up. They realized they were sleeping near the upside down stove, which had ignited. Jessie and James screamed as they felt their hair burning up. They screamed as they tried to find water. James saw a leaking water pipe and had the water douse the fire in his hair. Jessie used a similar pipe to put out the fire. Team Rocket exited out of the kitchen.
"Why is everything upside down?" asked Jessie.
"The ship capsized and sunk while you two were sleeping," said Meowth.
"What?!" asked Jessie & James.
"We've gotta abandon ship immediately!" said James.
"I'm afraid it won't be easy to get out while this ship is underwater," said Meowth.
"Augh! The ship sunk! We're doomed!" said James.
"Calm down, James! I already thought out a way to get us out of here," said Jessie, taking out Ekans' Pokéball. But before she could throw it, Meowth felt himself getting seized by Elmyra.
"Got you now, talking kitty!" said Elmyra. Meowth screamed as he felt himself getting crushed by Elmyra's killer hug.
"Let me go! I belong to Team Rocket already!" cried Meowth.
"But you're cute! And I deserve to have the cutest!" said Elmyra.
(Insert "Kanto Trainer Battle" from Pokémon)
"We've had enough of you trying to steal from us!" said James.
"Only Team Rocket are allowed to do the Pokémon stealing! Ekans!" said Jessie. She threw the Poké Ball, summoning her purple snake.
"Ekanssssssssssssss!" hissed Ekans. Ekans then saw his companion, Meowth was in trouble. He charged and rammed Elmyra, forcing her to let the cat go.
"Ekans, spit your Acid attack at that animal killing brat!" commanded Jessie. Ekans then spat deadly, dark green acid, which hit Elmyra right in the face. She screamed in agony as she felt the acid burn at her skin. None of it got into her eyes thankfully. Meowth then kicked Elmyra, knocking her into a nearby freezer. He and his partners quickly locked the door to the freezer, trapping the toon human in it.
"You need to chill you excuse for a human being," said Meowth. Jessie noticed that a little drop of acid ate at part of the floor. And she got an idea.
"I now know just how we'll escape! Ekans, Acid again! Open a hole in the floor! We'll use it to escape!" said Jessie.
"Wait! Don't do that!" said Meowth. But it was too late! Ekans spat acid once again, but at the floor this time. The attack made a hole in it.

Then, there was a rumble and water began to gush out of the hole like a geyser. Jessie and James covered the hole with their bodies. "Didn't I tell you numbskulls that we're sinking?! You think we need another hole in this ship?!" asked Meowth. Then, the water gushed out again, lifting Jessie and James into the air. The water began to fill up the hallway, sweeping Team Rocket with it.
The St. Anne captain was discharged for his cowardliness and negligence. After that, Officer Jenny and the coastguard started to discuss about giving Fifi, Shirley and Fowlmouth permission to mount a rescue operation. Outside the meeting room, Fifi paced back and forth anxiously as she and her friends waiting for the discussion to end. "Fifi, can you try to relax?" asked Shirley.
"How can I relax when ma Pika Provolone and our friends are een danger? Why do ze authorities need to do a discussion just so we can get permission to mount a rescue operation?" replied Fifi.
"I don't like it as much as you do, but the only thing we can do is wait," said Shirley. Just then, the door to the meeting room opened and Officer Jenny stepped out.
"So? What did they say?" asked Fowlmouth.
"Okay. You three can go mount a rescue mission to save your friends," said Jenny.
"Merci," said Fifi.
"We'll lead you to the rescue submarine you're going to use. I will accompany you to make sure everything goes well. Once we rescue them, we'll go to Porta Vista, which is where everybody who got off the ship are going to," said Jenny.
"Okay," said Fowlmouth.
Back on the St. Anne, Ash and his friends were looking for their own way to escape. They saw a staircase that led to a body of water within the ship. "What are we supposed to do?" asked Mary.
"The ship's leaking everywhere," said Ash.
"We've got to keep calm," said Misty.
"As long as there's air here, it'll take a while to fill up with water," said Buster.
"Sure. But we better not waste time escaping," said Brock.
"Well. We can either go up or down," said Buster.
"Well, if we're sinking, then up would definitely be better," said Hamton.
"And if the ship is flipped upside down . . . ," said Dizzy.
"The deck is below us and the ship's bottom is up above our heads," said Mary.
"Then we'd have to dive down to the deck," said Ash.
"Pika pika," said Pikachu.
"But if we dive down to the deck and come across a dead end, then we're done for," said Brock. Ash then began to imagine what would happen if they did come across a dead end.
"So, how are we supposed to know?" asked Hamton.
(Insert "Behold the Mighty Goldeen!" from Pokémon)
Misty got out a Poké Ball. "Water's my specialty. Go, Goldeen!" said Misty as she threw the ball and her goldfish Pokémon was summoned.
"Goldeen, goldeen. Goldeen, goldeen," said Goldeen.
"Goldeen, dive down to the deck. If you find a way off the ship, bring something back from outside," said Misty.
"Goldeen," said Goldeen. It jumped and dove into the water. As the fish swam, books, cushions, bags and pottery floating in the water. Goldeen swam until it came to a passage way that was blocked by some broken equipment, furniture and more. "Goldeen. Goldeen?" asked Goldeen. It turned around and saw something that startled it. It was Team Rocket who were struggling not to drown. Ekans had already been returned to its Poké Ball.

What's taking Goldeen so long?" asked Ash.
"I guess it can't find a way out," said Misty. Just then, everybody heard some bubbling. James' head partially emerged from the water. Ash and co. freaked out at the sight of it. Golden then pushed him along with his two partners onto dry ground.
"Team Rocket?" asked Buster.
"They look terrible!" said Brock. The three Pokémon thieves spat out water.
"Prepare . . . prepare for trouble," said Jessie weakly.
"Yes, make it double . . . ," groaned James.
(Insert "Team Rocket Revealed" from Pokémon)
Then, Team Rocket realized they were staring at the heroes. "You!" said Team Rocket. They all got back up.
"We've got you brats cornered!" said Jessie as she and James took out their Pokéballs.
"Oh yeah?! But a cornered animal will fight back dangerously!" said Buster.
"So, you followed us all the way to the bottom of the sea!" said Brock as he and Ash took out some Pokéballs of their own.
"Ekans!" said Jessie.
"Koffing!" said James. Team Rocket's two Pokémon came out.
"Ekans!" said Ekans.
"Koffing!" said Koffing.
"Here we go!" said Ash & Brock. Ash threw three Pokéballs, while Brock threw one. Ash sent out Bulbasaur, Charmander & Squirtle, while Brock sent out Geodude.
"Bulbasaur!" said Bulbasaur.
"Char char!" said Charmander.
"Squirtle squirt!" said Squirtle.
"Geodude!" said Geodude.
"Alright, a match!" said Ash.

(Insert "Goofball Alert" from Pokémon)
But then, part of the St. Anne began to tip. Everybody screamed as they felt the sudden movement of the ship. Everybody slid to a certain part of the ship and crashed. "This ship will roll if we don't do something quick!" said Misty.
"Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Geodude, Koffing, Ekans, to the other side of the ship!" said Ash. All the Pokémon began to move toward the opposite side. Then, the St. Anne tipped the opposite direction it tipped earlier. And once again, everybody slide to that side screaming. "The other side! The other side!" said Ash. All the Pokémon began to move to the other side. Geodude hopped up and down.
"Geodude! Come back to this side!" said Brock. But when Geodude did, the St. Anne began to tip back and forth. Very soon, the ship was tipping at a certain position and it looked like everybody was gonna slide to the other side again.
"You guys, call back your Pokémon!" said Misty. Pikachu and Meowth were slowly slipping.
"But Team Rocket will beat us if we call our Pokémon back!" said Ash.
"He's right," said Brock.
"We can't worry about that right now," said Buster.
"Yeah. We've got worse troubles!" said Hamton.
"Yeah," said Ash & Brock. The two Trainers returned their Pokémon. Misty turned to Team Rocket.
"Call back your Pokémon too!" asked Mary. "What's more important? A Pokémon battle or your life?" asked Misty.
"She's right, good point," said Jessie. Then, Jessie and James returned Ekans and Koffing to their Pokéballs too. Then, the St. Anne went back to its normal position and everybody sighed.

Everybody got back up. "Okay then. We all agree there won't be any battles for now. Let's work together," said Misty. But then, she turned around and saw the others and Team Rocket glaring at each other. "Come on now! Shake hands!" shouted Misty. Ash shook Jessie's hand.
"This is a temporary truce until we get out of this mess," said Jessie.
"Better believe it," said Ash. Brock shook James' hand. Then, Pikachu began to shake Meowth's hand. But suddenly, Meowth was zapped by Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" said Misty. Pikachu then stopped zapping Meowth, who was smoking.
"It's agreed we work together," said Jessie.
"Now we got to think of some way to escape," said Ash.
"Leave it to me. I forgot to mention I built my own St. Anne once," said Misty.
"Huh?" asked Buster. "Really?" asked Mary.
"It was a model," said Misty. Everybody groaned.
"Oh, great," said Hamton.
(Insert "Creeping Shadow" from Pokémon)
"That's how I learned all about the structure of the St. Anne! Since the way to the deck is blocked, we'll have to climb to the bottom of the ship. We can cut a hole in the hull! That's how we'll escape!" said Misty.
"What?" asked everybody.
"Huh?" asked James.
"Well, at least it's a plan anyway," said Ash.

"Over there!" said Brock, pointing to an upside down staircase. "Onix, make a staircase!" said Brock, throwing Onix's Pokéball. Then, Brock's rock snake Pokémon emerged from the ball. Onix grabbed onto part of the floor where the stairs would lead to with its jaws. "Let's hurry!" said Brock.
"Right!" said Ash. Ash and his friends ran up Onix's long body.
"Let's move it or lose it!" said Misty.
"Yes, ma'am!" said Team Rocket. They along with Misty ran up Onix as well. Brock then returned Onix back into its Pokéball.
Officer Jenny did a televised report about what happened on the St. Anne last night before leaving on the rescue mission. She mentioned who was missing when the ship sunk and stated about the rescue mission. The loved ones of Ash, Misty and Brock were upset upon seeing what happened. Among some of the people watching the report were Suzy & her Vulpix, Furrball and Megan. "Oh my," said Suzy.
"Vulpix," said Vulpix.
"Even though I don't like some of my fellow students for not giving me respect just because I'm a cat, getting trapped in a sunken ship is beyond what they deserve. Though Dizzy and I are good friends," said Furrball.
"I hope they're rescued," said Megan. After all, Ash is Arceus' chosen one, thought Megan.
Babs Bunny, Duplica and her Ditto saw the news report too. The pink bunny gasped seeing that Buster was among those missing. She stood up. "What are you doing?" asked Duplica.
"Dit?" asked Ditto.
"I can't just sit around and wait for my friends to rescue my boyfriend. Buster needs me," said Babs.
"But there are some people who don't know if you toons are friend or foe. You might get caught," said Duplica.
"Relax. I'm a master of disguise and impersonation. I'll just put on a disguise to blend in," said Babs.
"Okay. Be careful," said Duplica.
"I will. Thanks for giving me shelter, Duplica," said Babs as she put on a trench coat and hat disguise.
"Your welcome. I hope we run into each other again," said Duplica.
"Ditto," said Ditto.
"I hope so too," said Babs. And she left to reunite with Buster Bunny.
Back on the St. Anne, Ash and the others began to walk down the hallway. But very soon, it was getting to the point they couldn't see. "The lights are out," said Dizzy.
"I can't see anything," said Brock.
"Let me handle it Charmander, I choose you!" said Ash. He summoned Charmander.
"Char, char," said Charmander. He used his flaming tail as a torch to light the way.
"So, where does this hall lead to?" asked Mary.
"This corridor leads straight to the engine room. And that is where the hull is the thinest. With a little luck, we should cut our way through," said Misty. Ash and the others then went through the door that led to another room. But when they got in, they saw that the floor at the bottom was on fire. And there was a large gap.
"This is no good! It's almost impossible to cross to the engine room," said Ash.
"Jessica," said James.
"Yes James?" asked Jessie.
"Whoever said beauty doesn't last. Must've been thinking about us," said James.
"I'll always remember what a wonderful dresser you were," said Jessie.
"So will I," said James.
"Will you two knock it off! There's gotta be some way to get off this ship!" scolded Misty.
"There must be some angle we haven't thought out yet," said Mary thoughtful. Ash was thinking as well.
"Think, Ash! Pikachu, give my brain a jump start!" said Ash, holding out his hand.
"Pika!" said Pikachu. Pikachu then zapped Ash, causing him to yelp. "Thanks! That's just what I needed!" said Ash.
(Insert "Pokémon, I Choose You" from Pokémon)
"Bulbasaur, I choose you!" said Ash. He threw the Pokéball and Bulbasaur came out.
"Bulbasaur," said Bulbasaur.
"I'll summon my Bulbasaur too!" said Mary. She threw the ball and her Bulbasaur was summoned as well.
"Alright you two, vine whip!" said Ash.
"Extend your whips to the other side," said Mary.
"Bulba," said Ash and Mary's Bulbasaurs. Then, they summoned some vines from their bodies and they extended until they reached the other side. The vines formed four tightropes for everybody to cross.
"Good job!" said Ash.
"That was a great idea, Ash," said Misty.
"Yeah. We can cross the vines to the other side," said Brock.
"Let's get out of here," said Mary. Then, Ash, Pikachu, Zorua, Mary, Buster, Hamton, Dizzy, Bookworm, Misty and Brock. James stared down at the fire nervously.
"I can't cross that inferno! Jessie and Meowth, you go ahead! I'm staying here!" said James. Jessie began to rapidly slap James in the face.
"James, James, James, James, James! Snap out of it! How long do you think you'll last on this side?! Now let's go. We'll cross together," said Jessie.
"Oh, Jessie. Please don't abandon me," said James as he held her hands.
"Don't worry. I won't leave you," said Jessie.
"Hey, Team Rocket!" said Ash. Team Rocket saw that the others crossed safely.
"Bulbasaur," said Ash and Mary's Bulbasaurs.
"Wait! Don't leave us! Bring back the vines!" cried Team Rocket.

(Insert "Team Rocket Boss Meeting" from Pokémon)
At the main Team Rocket hideout, the Team Rocket Leader was waiting for a report from every Team Rocket Grunt that partook in the St. Anne raid. "What's keeping Jessie, James, Meowth and their squad? They've gone radio silent after they started the raid. Something must be wrong and it concerns me, Persian," said the TR Leader. Just then, he heard a knock on his office door. "Enter," said the TR Leader. A female Team Rocket Grunt arrived.
"Boss, I managed to find one of the St. Anne raid members. Well, what's left of him," said the female grunt.
"What do you mean, what's left of him?" asked the TR Leader. The female grunt revealed the skull of the Team Rocket grunt who got his skin devoured by Dizzy Devil.
"I'm sorry boss, but the St. Anne raid ended in failure," said TR Grunt Skull. The TR Leader's eyes widened, hearing the skull talk. Persian screeched in fright and jumped up into the air and dug his claws into the ceiling.
"What happened?! How are you still alive?!" asked the TR Leader.
"The passengers actually fought back due to being motivated by that kid that Jessie, James and Meowth have been stalking. Since we didn't bring our Pokémon, they creamed us! The toons destroyed our vacuum packs, freeing the stolen Poké Balls. The one called Dizzy Devil ate some our uniforms and in my case, my flesh too. As for why I'm still alive, I can't find an explanation! It defies all logic! All of us, except Jessie, James and Meowth were thrown off the ship. And we were attacked by hungry Carvahnas and Sharpedos. I was the only survivor," said the TR Grunt Skull. Suddenly, his teeth started to fall out, one by one. "Oh no! It looks like I'm gonna kick the bucket!" cried the TR Grunt Skull. After his teeth fell out, his lower jaw detached. And finally, the skull cracked and crumbled into pieces, leaving only the grunt's brain.
"Eew, eew, eew, eew, eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww!" cried the Female TR Grunt as she juggled the brain in her hands. Persian fell off the ceiling and crashed to the ground. The Team Rocket Leader banged his fist on his desk in frustration.
"This is unacceptable! My best men and women, beaten by some kids all because I allowed those three idiots to lead the raid! If I ever see or hear from those three again, they'll be sorry!" said the TR Leader.

Very soon, Jessie, James and Meowth crossed to the other side of the burning room safely as well. The three Pokémon thieves panted. "Now I know what a toasted marshmallow feels like," said Meowth.
"Hey, no time to take a break," said Ash.
"We've gotta get off this ship quick," said Misty.
"Right!" said Ash, taking out another Poké Ball. "Charmander, I choose you!" said Ash. He threw the ball and Charmander was summoned.
"Char!" said Charmander.
"Charmander, we need you to weld through the metal hull of the ship with your flame," said Ash.
"Char! Char! Mander!" said Charmander as he fired a concentrated Flamethrower attack. He began to cut a hole into the ceiling above them like a welding torch.
"Okay, listen up. Grab hold of a water Pokémon and swim to the surface!" said Misty.
"Yeah, right. Got it, Ash?" asked Brock.
"I'll be okay with my Squirtle," said Ash.
"I have my Surskit," said Mary.
"Zorua, I'll need you to use your illusion ability to transform into a Water Pokémon too so you can help the other toons," said Ash.
"I just got the Pokémon in mind," said Zorua.
"Hey, don't forget about us! What are we supposed to do?" asked Jessie.
"Just grab a Water Pokémon!" said Misty.
"Water Pokémon?" asked Meowth.
"It's almost burned through," said Ash.
"Get ready to return Charmander to his Poké Ball as soon as he's done welding," said Mary.
"Right," said Ash, getting Charmander's Poké Ball out again. After Charmander finished burning a square shaped hole, Ash quickly returned him to his Poké Ball just before water forced the cut panel out of place. It began to fill up the room. Team Rocket screamed as the water poured in.
"Are you crazy? What've you done?" asked Meowth. Ash and his friends began to send out their Water Pokémon. Ash summoned Squirtle, while Mary called on her Surskit. Misty called upon both her Goldeen and Starmie. Zorua transformed into a Wailmer. Everybody began to tie ropes onto the Water Pokémon and themselves. Ash tied a rope around Squirtle and he tied himself and Pikachu to it. Misty tied a rope around herself and Goldeen. Brock tied himself to Starmie. Mary tied herself to her Surskit. Buster, Dizzy, Hamton and Bookworm tied themselves to Zorua's Wailmer Form.
"Now let's go, Squirtle," said Ash.
"Squirtle squirt," said Ash's Squirtle.
"Follow us, Team Rocket!" said Ash. The Water Pokémon began to swim up the pouring water, dragging the heroes out of the St. Anne and they began to swim toward the surface.
"Hold on! We haven't got the right Pokémon!" said Jessie. As Ash and co. and the Water Pokémon were swimming to the surface, Ash began to hear something in the water. It sounded like singing. What is that?, thought Ash. He then saw a glimpse of a pair of blue eyes before whatever the eyes belonged to swam away.
Was that what I thought it was? It was so dark I couldn't see, thought Ash.
"I hate water! Especially wet water!" said Meowth, jumping up and down.
"We're in big trouble! We can't escape without Water Pokémon!" said Jessie. Then, she and Meowth began to hear James laugh. "You're laughing? I don't see what's so funny, James," said Jessie.
"The poor guy must be cracking up, just like the ship," said Meowth.
"You really made fun of me. But who's got the last laugh now! Well true geniuses aren't appreciated unless there's trouble. I knew we'd need this in a tight spot!" cackled James. His partners saw a gleam in James' eye. "Look!" said James as he took out a familiar gold plated Pokéball.
"Hey!" said Meowth.
"Could it be?" asked Jessie.
"Magikarp!" said Jessie & Meowth. Then, they got down onto their hands and knees. "We're not worthy!" said Jessie & Meowth.
"Feast your eyes on the king of carp: Magikarp!" said James. Jessie & Meowth got back up.
"You're the best, James!" said Jessie.
"I take back the jokes! From now on, I'll treat you with the respect you deserve!" said Meowth.
"Hmm. Better late than never. It's time, Magikarp!" said James, throwing the Pokéball. The Pokéball popped open and Magikarp went into the water. "Lucky for us, I bought this. Even if it cost us next month's salary," said James.
"Enough bragging. Just tie yourself on!" said Jessie.
"We gotta escape!" said Meowth. James tied a rope to Magikarp and he tied it to himself and his partners.
"Alright Magikarp, let's escape!" said James. Magikarp tried to pull them, but it couldn't. James hung his head in disappointment.
"Don't tell me this fish can't swim!" said Jessie.
"Forget swimming, it can barely splash," said Meowth.
"We're doomed!" said Jessie. Then, more water began to pour into the ship and began to fill up faster and faster. Team Rocket were swept by the water.
"Look's like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" cried Team Rocket. Then, the St. Anne fell off of the rock pillar it was on and into the dark trenches below.
Up on the surface, Ash and co. had climbed onto a large, floating piece of debris that was perfect to use as a raft. It was surrounded by other pieces of debris and junk. "I wonder why Team Rocket still hasn't surfaced," said Ash.
"Do you think they're still trapped inside?" asked Misty.
"Pikachu?" asked Pikachu.
"You should've remembered that they didn't have any Water Pokémon their own," said Mary.
"You should've lent them your Staryu," said Buster. Misty smacked her head in realization.
"Oh! Of all the stupid, lame brain things to forget!" bemoaned Misty.
"There's nothing more we can do, except to try to find some dry land," said Brock.
"Let's see, nothing but ocean in every direction and no way to tell which direction to go," said Hamton.
"I remember the story of Noah from the Bible in the book of Genesis. When he had to find dry land, he sent a bird to find it and returned with a branch," said Brock.
"What a great idea. We're gonna do the same thing as Noah," said Ash. He took out a Pokéball. "Pidgeotto, I choose you!" said Ash. He threw the Pokéball and his Pidgeotto came out. "Pidgeotto, bring us back whatever you find," said Ash. Pidgeotto squawked and began to fly to begin its search. "We're counting on you, Pidgeotto," said Ash.
"Pikachu," said Pikachu.
Just then, Mary saw something that made her shriek. "What's wrong, Mary?" asked Ash. He and the others turned to Mary's direction and they screamed as well. Floating in the water was a half eaten corpse of one of the female Team Rocket grunts.
"That's one of the Team Rocket grunts we fought last night," said Hamton. "Looks like she was attacked by a carnivorous Water Pokémon," said Brock. Buster saw some teeth stuck to the corpse. He put on gloves and used long tweezers to pull them out. There were two pieces of teeth, each one a different size and shape.
"Misty, since you want to become the world's greatest Water Pokémon, you should be able to recognize these teeth," said Buster. Misty got out a Water Pokémon guide book and scrolled through the pages til she found the info she was looking for. Unfortunately, the Water Pokémon she identified the teeth of made her pale in horror.
"Oh my. I do recognize these teeth. The first one belongs to a Water and Dark-type Pokémon called Carvanha," said Misty.
"Carvanha? Sounds like a play on piranha, a vicious man eating fish from South America," said Buster.
"Well, what makes Carvanha nasty is that they've damaged or destroyed boats with their jaws. They live in both rivers and oceans," said Misty.
"What does other tooth belong to?" asked Dizzy.
"It's evolved form . . . Sharpedo," replied Misty.
"As in . . . a s-s-shark?" asked Hamton, looking scared.
"Yes. Because of their ruthless reputation, they're known as the 'Bullies of the sea'. I once saw a movie where three guys had to deal with a monster sized, killer Sharpedo that was terrorizing beach tourists," said Misty.
"Sounds like that's a Pokémon version of Steven Spielberg's first blockbuster hit; Jaws," said Buster.
"Because Sharpedos are dangerous and ruthless, my sisters don't keep any in the gym, period," said Misty.
Ash's Pidgeotto began to fly over the ocean for a sign of anything. As it was flying, it saw something down below. The bird Pokémon saw that it was James' Magikarp. It was dragging Team Rocket, who appeared to be dead. Very soon, Ash's Pidgeotto brought back Magikarp and Team Rocket to the raft. "They weren't able to make it," said Misty.
"Not even Team Rocket deserved this," said Ash.
"Yeah," said Brock.
"I guess the only decent thing to do is to give them a traditional burial at sea," said Buster grimly.
"That's right. It's our duty, even if they were our enemies," said Hamton. Ash and Co. began to push Team Pansies' corpses toward the edge of the boat. But suddenly, Jessie and James sprang to life, which caused Meowth to fall into the water. Ash and co. screamed in fright.
"Zombies!" cried Ash & his friends.
"Who are you calling zombies?" asked James.
"We are not zombies!" said Jessie.
"We were sure you were dead," said Buster. Meowth struggled to try to stay afloat as Pikachu watched.
"Somebody help me! My fur's gettin' wet!" cried Meowth. He climbed back onto the raft. Pikachu snapped his finger in disappointment. This could've been his chance to get rid of Meowth.
It was now nighttime as the raft drifted away from the wreck sight. Everybody was asleep except for Magikarp who continued to flop around like the fish it was. Elsewhere, the rescue submarine arrived to where the St. Anne sunk. It dove deep into the dark part of the ocean where the ship fell after Ash and co. escaped. Shirley turned on the sub's headlights as it grew darker. Fifi then spotted something. "Guys, look!" said Fifi. Officer Jenny turned the search lights to where Fifi pointed. There was the ship of the St. Anne. It was all wrecked from impact with the sea floor.
"I better get into a diving suit and investigate the wreck," said Jenny.
"I'm coming too," said Shirley.
"Why do you need to come?" asked Jenny.
"Because I have a psychic technique that allows me to actually sense what happened in an area earlier," said Shirley.
"I see," said Jenny.
"You two wait here," said Shirley to Fifi and Fowlmouth.
After changing into diving suits, Officer Jenny and Shirley exited out of the submarine to investigate the St. Anne wreckage. When they got close enough to the wreck, Shirley closed her eyes and began to concentrate. Her body began to glow with a purple aura as she was using her psychic technique. In her mind, Shirley began to see images of when Ash and co. and Team Rocket escaped the St. Anne before it fell off the pillar it was on. Shirley and Officer Jenny went back to the rescue submarine and got out of their diving suits. "So, what deed vous learn?" asked Fifi.
"Our friends are alive. And so is Jessie, James and Meowth of Team Rocket, unfortunately. They used their Water Pokémon to escape the ship," said Shirley.
"So what now?" asked Fowlmouth.
"I guess we follow Shirley's instructions cause she'll need to use her psychic powers to sense where the survivors are," said Jenny.
"And we can start, like, by heading to the surface," said Shirley. And the rescue submarine began to head back to the surface.
The next day, Ash & friends and Team Rocket were getting hungry as indicated by their stomaches growling. "I'm so hungry," groaned Ash.
"It seems like forever since we last ate," said Brock.
"If I knew I was gonna be starving, I would've stuffed my face full back at the St. Anne!" said Misty.
"Oh, I want some food," said James.
"Stop it!" said Jessie.
"Yeah. That whining only makes you feel only hungrier," said Meowth. Ash and Brock stared at Magikarp and began to imagine what they began to imagine how they could eat it.
"Gotta eat something. Like, Filleted Karp," said Ash.
"Or fried Karp," said Brock. Jessie and James were imagining how they could eat Magikarp too.
"Fresh marinated Karp," said Jessie.
"Karp flambé," said James. Even Buster and Hamton had their eyes on Magikarp.
"Magikarp and Chips," said Buster.
"Magikarp Sticks," said Hamton. All the hungry shipwreck survivors, except Misty & Mary stared at Magikarp hungrily.
"That's it! Dinner is now served!" said Meowth.
"Fishy's mine!" said Dizzy. Both of them grabbed onto Magikarp and bit it. But suddenly, their teeth broke and Meowth & Dizzy screamed in pain. Magikarp began to laugh at them with a smug smile.
"I wouldn't try that again if I were you. Check out your Pokédex, cause Magikarp is just scales and bones. Only certain Pokémon can eat it," said Misty.
"I wish you told me that sooner!" complained Meowth.
James growled. "Not only this fish can't swim, it's not even good for eating!" said James.
"See? I told you buying it was stupid!" said Jessie.
"You good for nothing fish! I don't want to be your master!" said James. Then, he kicked the Magikarp off the ship and into the water. "Good riddance, Magikarp!" said James.
"I feel sorry for it," said Misty.

But then, everybody noticed the Magikarp began to glow. Ash turned to James. "I think you've made it mad!" said Mary.
"What do you mean?" asked James. The glowing meant that Magikarp was evolving. When the glowing stopped, it had changed shape. It was now a large dragon Pokémon, resembling dragons seen in Chinese mythology. Its serpentine body was mostly blue, but its underbelly and the spots along its body were yellow. It had a three-pointed, dark blue crest on its head and four white fins down its back. Its mouth was very large and gaping, bearing four canine teeth, but bears some resemblance to that of its pre-evolution, Magikarp. Like Magikarp, it had one barbel on both sides of its face. Its pectoral and dorsal fins also resembled Magikarp's. The Pokémon was rarely shown with its mouth closed. The large Pokémon let out angry roar. Everybody screamed. "What is that?!" asked James.
"Now you've done it! Magikarp has evolved into Gyarados!" said Misty.
"Gyarados!? I miss Magikarp!" said Jessie.

Ash took out his Pokédex to get data on it. "Gyarados. This Pokémon has a vicious temperament, so use extreme caution. Its fangs can crush stones and its scales are harder than steel," said the Pokédex.

"I'm James, your master. Obey me," said James. Gyarados just roared at James.
"Dimwit! If you're the master, don't act like you're scared of it!" said Jessie.
"I am scared!" said James.
"Goldeen! Starmie! Staryu!" said Misty as she summoned all three of her Water Pokémon.
"Goldeen! Goldeen!" said Goldeen.
"How will you battle it?" asked Brock.
"My strategy is . . . Run away!" cried Misty.
(Insert "Wreakin' Havoc" from Pokémon)
Everybody quickly tied ropes to Misty's Pokémon and they began to paddle the raft with long poles. "Heave ho! Heave ho! Heave ho!" cried Everybody. Gyarados began to give chase toward the group. Ash and Misty panted as they paddled. The Water & Flying Pokémon roared as it pursued them. "Faster! Faster!" cried Everybody. And the raft began to go faster. Gyarados let out two more angry roars. "Huh?" asked Everybody.

Gyarados continued to roar. "What's it doing?" asked Ash.
"It just evolved," said Brock.
"Maybe it's tired out!" said Buster.
"We made it!" said Jessie & James, grabbing on each other happily. But Misty had a grim expression.
"Unless the stories are true," said Misty.
"Huh?" asked Everybody.
"What are you talking about, Misty?" asked Hamton.
"What stories?" asked Dizzy. Bookworm squeaked in confusion.
"Sailors tell terrible stories about the Gyarados. I think this might be . . . ," said Misty. The sky began to grow dark for some reason.
"It may be Dragon Rage!" cried Misty.
"Dragon Rage?!" cried Everybody.
(Insert "Who is Stronger Epic Battle" from Pokémon)
Then, Gyarados let out another roar and two more Gyarados emerged from the water. And then another set of two Gyarados appeared, making a total of five. Everybody screamed. All five Gyarados intended to kill everybody. "Help! We're Gyarados bait!" cried James.
"We're doomed!" cried Meowth.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
"Zorua!" said Zorua. The Gyarados began to swim in a circle formation.
"Hey, what're they doing?" asked Mary.
"Dragon Rage! Gyarados's ultimate attack!" said Misty. They swam faster and faster until the created a water cyclone. It began to move closer and closer to the raft.
"Here it comes!" cried Everybody.
"Let's go!" said Brock.
"No one's ever gotten away from Dragon Rage!" said Misty.
"Whoa! This is it!" cried Ash. Dizzy then growled angrily before he began to turn himself into a cyclone.
"Dizzy, what are you doing?!" asked Buster.
"Gonna hold off Dragon Rage!" yelled Dizzy.
"No Dizzy, you'll be killed!" cried Mary.
"Go! I'll buy you time to escape!" cried Dizzy. Dizzy then began to try to push the water cyclone back.
"Come on! Let's go!" said Mary. Everybody started to paddle away from the Water Cyclone. It appeared Dizzy pushing the cyclone back was working.
Far from the chaotic scene, the submarine was getting rocked by the waves of the cyclone. "Not another storm!" said Fifi.
"We need to get to land fast!" said Jenny. Shirley then saw something in the distance.
"What about that island over there?" asked Shirley.
"Then let's go there," said Jenny. And she began to navigate the submarine to the unknown island.
Dizzy continued to try to push Gyarados' Dragon Rage back. The Gyarados that was once James' saw this and growled angrily. "Come on, you fools! Don't let this mini dust tornado stop us! We got some ingrates to kill!" said Gyarados #1. The Gyarados started to put more power into the Dragon Rage attack. Suddenly, Dizzy got sucked into the Dragon Rage attack. Dizzy screamed as they he got sucked.
"Dizzy!" cried Mary. The water cyclone resumed its course to try to destroy Ash and the others.
"Everybody jump!" cried Ash. Everybody jumped off the raft before it was destroyed. They tried to swim away from the water cyclone. But they only got sucked up into it with Dizzy.
"We're gonna die!" cried Team Rocket. Ash and co. grabbed each other's hands.
"Hey, Brock! Misty! Pikachu! And everybody else! Whatever happens, don't let go!" cried Ash. But unfortunately, they couldn't hold on.

Just when it seemed all hope was lost, something rammed the cyclone, breaking it apart. The five Gyarados fell down into the water, but recovered. "Who dares?!" asked Gyarados #1. Emerging from the water was none other than Kyogre, Lord of the Seas. With him were a couple of other Water Pokémon, consisting of a pod of Finizen led by a Palafin, a Wailord, a large school of Wishiwashi and a Primarina. She was anthro just like the one belonging to Misty's mother, but her lips and boobs were smaller. And she wore a pink seashell bra instead of starfish pasties. So she was roughly the age of a teenage girl. Palafin looked identical to its pre-evolved form, Finizen, except for one single detail: a light pink heart-shaped mark on its chest, outlined by a slightly larger white one.
"ATTACK!" yelled Kyogre. The Water Pokémon army charged at the five Gyarados.
All the Water Pokémon began to open fire on the Gyarados with their Water attacks, blasting them. Palafin then began to transform, revealing its true power; it's Hero form. Hero Form Palafin's appearance was drastically different, having given up its previous sleek, streamlined body in favor of a much more bulky and human-like physique. It was now able to stand on the flukes of its tail fin, which were longer and more slender than those of its Zero Form. Its body was now primarily indigo, although some parts, such as its sides, lower jaw, and the bottom of its flukes were colored in a pale shade of light blue. Its dorsal fin now had a white stripe in addition to the white tip. The heart-shaped mark on its chest has expanded into a shape that somewhat resembles a shield, now occupying most of its chest and abdomen. Notably, the central heart has deepened in color, going from light pink to dark pink, and also resembled the shape of a cetacean's tail flukes. As a result of its transformation, its eyes, the tip of its flippers, and shoulders have been covered by a set of lenses, gloves, and cape, respectively. There were now three water rings around its peduncle. Palafin shot its water rings off its body. It created a floatation device to save the shipwreck survivors. Primarina personally carried Ash in her arms to take him back to land. Some of the other Water Pokémon were doing the same thing too.
Kyogre slapped one of the Gyarados with its large flippers. Wailord rammed another Gyarados with its large body. All the Wishiwashi began to use their schooling ability to merge into Wishiwashi's school form. In this form, Wishiwashi resembled a large fish roughly formed from various smaller fish with glowing eyes. Starting with its head, its body was divided into four bands that each became a slightly darker shade of blue. A ring of bright blue glowing spots lined the front edge of the two middle bands. The centers of its "eyes" were formed by a single white fish with glowing eyes for pupils. Surrounding the white fish was a dark blue recess, and at the rear edge of the "eye" is a raised white area for eyelids. Above each eye was a single, dark blue fish shape. Wishiwashi's mouth gaped wide open, apparently unable to close fully due to gaps on each side. Its lips in the front were lined with glowing spots, and many more spots dot the inside of its mouth.
On each side of the School Form's body, in the second band, there was a pair of dark blue fish-shaped recesses. Wishiwashi can fire fish-shaped torpedoes from this area. Its pectoral fins were the same color as its head and had three finger-like projections. There were glowing spots at the base of each "finger" and at the base of the fins themselves. On top of its head were two short projections shaped like fishtails, one behind the other. Additionally, Wishiwashi had a large dorsal fin that was darker around the base and had two glowing spots at the tip. The third section of its body had a ring of four spike-like fins around it. Three spikes encircled the tip of its tail, each with two glowing dots at the base. Dark fish shapes floated freely a short distance from the end of each spike, all with two more dots on them. Finally, the tip of its tail was a rounded teardrop shape with a single dot on each side. Wishiwashi School Form let out a mighty roar.
The five Gyarados screamed like little girls at the sight of Wishiwashi's School Form. For it was one of the few things that Gyarados were afraid of. Wishiwashi fired a Hydro Pump attack, which was a powerful stream of water more powerful than Water Gun. Palafin fired its own Hydro Pump too. As for Kyogre, it formed multiple blue orbs all around its body. It then fired a beam of blue energy from each orb at the Gyarados. This was Kyogre's signature move, Origin Pulse. The combined assault defeated all five Gyarados, knocking them out.

Just when it looked like our heroes would be done in by the Gyarados' Dragon Rage, Kyogre and several Water Pokémon came to their rescue. Can they get them all to dry land on time? Find out, next time, as the journey continues.

Unfortunately, Ash's Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle & Zorua; Mary's Clefairy & Roselia, Buster, Hamton and Bookworm get separated from the rest of the group. Meowth, Ekans and Koffing get separated from Jessie and James too. To make things worse, the island is full of gigantic Pokémon. What is the mystery behind these colossal Pokémon? As you read, I made sure the St. Anne captain gets punished for his cowardly idiocy. So, the funeral scene wasn't included as you read. For those wondering, when is Babs going to appear now that she's left Duplica's mansion? That's for you to find out. Shirley's psychic technique of seeing how Ash and co. escaped is based on when Leonardo was trying to figure out how his family escaped doom in the TMNT 2003 episode, "Prodigal Son". I decided to give an explanation on how Ash and co. survived Dragon Rage. And Kyogre and a band of Water Pokémon did as you read. Just to let you know, this may actually not be the last you'll see of the Gyarados that evolved from the Magikarp that James disowned. That island that Officer Jenny, Shirley, Fifi and Fowlmouth went to, you probably guess which island that is . . .
