4-Cyrah's POV
"Kimaratis…Melinva…Jostevuti…" droned Lady Nalede. Cyrah was stuck in The Universe (The Foxfire subject not the physical universe) and couldn't be any more bored. She wished the lesson would end so she could finally rush out to lunch….and see Kenny. Cyrah smiled dreamily as she thought about the boy she'd liked forever.
"Are you listening to me, Endal?" Lady Nalede
"Yes, miss," lied Cyrah.
"Well then tell me…What is the name of the brightest star in the Koanwushe constellation?
Cyrah racked her brain searching for the answer.
She tugged on the ends of her silver tipped hair. "Tisper," she finally settled on.
"Incorrect!" the strict mentor declared, with a sinister grin. "The answer is Shamone, which you would've known if you had been listening…but you weren't so you, Endal, have received detention for 3 weeks!"
3 weeks! Cyrah thought. I probably won't see Kenny till' the sleepover! Life is so unfair!
The lunch bell interrupted her train of sorrows. Dentention land, here I come," she internally fake-cheered.
As she dawdled to the detention hall, with her head down, Cyrah bumped into Aubrey.
"Hey BrieBrie!" she exclaimed.
"Hey CeCe!" her friend replied. "Where are you going?"
"Detention hall. Lady Nalede stikes again!"
"Oh. For how long?" Aubrey questioned.
"3 weeks," sighed Cyrah.
"Oh no!" cried Aubrey. "I hope I see you soon. I'll tell everyone where you are. Goodbye."
"Goodbye BrieBrie." Cyrah waved. She turned around, catching her last glimpse of her friend.
Cyrah wondered if any of her other friends would be in detention. She also was mentally shouting, PLEASE DON"T LET THE DETENTION TEACHER BE LADY BELVA! (Lady Belva is the one who's detention punishment is ballroom dancing.) Cyrah almost vomited at the idea of having to dance with a stranger. The only way being in detention with Lady Belva would be good was if Kenny got detention to and he was her partner for the dance…But Kenny never got detentions and either way there were lots of other mentors that could be the detention teacher.
But guess what…
It was Lady Belva who was standing outside the door.
If only Kenny was here, Cyrah wished.
Someone tapped her shoulder.
She turned around to see Kenny standing behind her looking as handsome as ever.
"Kenny!" Cyrah beamed a little too quickly. "Why are you in detention?"
"So…I was doing PE and Adesha made fun of Benny. I got angry and pushed her but Sir Harding only saw the bit where I pushed Adesha so he gave me 2 weeks detention."
"Lady Nalede sentence me 3 weeks for not paying attention in class."
"Oh. I'm very sorry to hear that," empathised Kenny. "Well, I was wondering…would you like to be my partner for the dancing?"
Cyrah's pleasure system pretty much exploded with excitement. "Absolutely!" she replied. He was probably just trying to be nice but Cyrah was to happy to think about that.
"Find you partners!" Lady Belva boomed.
"May I?" Kenny asked.
"You may."
Kenny wrapped his arm around Cyrah's waist and she rapped her arms around his neck.
This is perfect, Cyrah thought.
"STEP TO THE RIGHT!" Lady Belva demanded.
"STEP TO THE RIGHT, ENDAL!"
Cyrah quickly stepped to the right.
"I'm so sorry." she informed Kenny. "I'm a terrible dancer."
"I think you're just fine."
DING! DING! Went the lunch bell. How has lunch already finished? Time doesn't fly that fast. How distracted was I? Cyrah asked herself. Extremely was the answer.
The rest of the day continued like it usually would up until study hall.
As she walked in, Cyrah noticed yelling. Really. Loud. Yelling. She turned to see almost 200 hundred Foxfire students gathered around in a circle. What was in the circle?
She turned to another student.
"Excuse me," Cyrah asked another prodigy. "What's happening?"
"You know Adesha Heks?"
"Yes."
"Well she got into a fight with two other girls."
"What do they look like."
"One has long blonde hair and another has black hair with silver bangs."
"Mimi! BrieBrie!" Cyrah sprinted towards the fight, swerving and dodging other prodigies. In the middle of the crowd lie Amy on the floor under Adesha, who was being pulled of by Aubrey.
"Guys!" Cyrah shouted. "Let me help you!"
She ran to the three girls and successfully helped Aubrey pull Adesha off. This gave Amy a chance to climb up and punch Adesha.
"I hate you!" Adesha screamed.
"Hey!" exclaimed Aubrey. "You basically asked me to push you. You can't expect to say to someone 'You are so dumb. You're terrible at everything and you're never gonna get anywhere in life' and not get hurt.
"Yeah!" Amy yelled. "Aubrey is really smart! She's also kind unlike you! All you do is insult people."
With that, Adesha punched Aubrey, knocking her to the ground.
"BrieBrie!" exclaimed Cyrah and Amy.
"That is what happens when you mess with me!" shouted their enemy. "Amy, You are just a shy little brat and Cyrah, you think you're so cool but you're worthless. Nobody likes you and nobody ever will!"
Cyrah ran off crying.
As she arrived home with a few tears running down her cheek, she saw her parents standing outside waiting for her.
"Cyrah, my darling, is everything alright?" Linh asked.
"Yeah. I just got into a fight at school."
"Was it that Adesha girl?" Wylie questioned. "No one and I repeat no one messes with my beautiful child. I will beat the ability out of that girl."
"Dad! Everything's been taken care of."
"Ok ok sweetie. Just let me know if that girl does anything again."
"I will. Also, why were you two standing outside.
"Well..Your father and I have something to tell you," admitted Linh.
"Yes and we don't want you to freak out but…" Wylie began.
"You're getting a baby brother."
