After dropping Emily off, the group headed back to IMP.

"Blitz, could we get a few days off after that mission?" Moxxie asked with a sigh, glancing at his relaxed pregnant wife.

"I was going to suggest a week." Loona said, still concerned about Blitz's mental state.

"Yeah, sure, whatever." Blitz said without thinking.

He didn't say it but Blitz needed a break himself the most after what he went through while Rolando was controlling his body.

Once they arrived at the building, Blitz went into office and plopped down in his chair with a heavy sigh. Reaching for a drawer, he pulled out a hidden bottle of booze.

"Cheers to my fucked up life." He said before ripping off the cork and drinking it.

A drink that could only dull his emotional pain for so long acts all the mistakes he was just reminded up.

His life in the circus, the accidental fire that killed his mom, Fizz losing his limbs, breaking up with Verosika, his fallout with Barbie….

"I am SUCH a fucking mess." He said, slumping in his chair.

Knock knock knock.

"Dad? Can I come in?" Loona asked from the door. "Please?"

Wondering what his daughter wanted, Blitz shrugged as he put the bottle on his desk. Maybe she would be asking if she would be getting paid during the week off, even if she was a rich wife to the sin of Gluttony.

"Come on in." Blitz said.

Loona opened the door and walked into the room, holding two mugs of hot cocoa in her hands.

"Figured you could use something sweet after today." She said.

"I have blueberry tequila." Blitz said, holding up his booze bottle.

"Something sweet and NONALCOHOLIC." Loona said, setting the mugs on the desk and taking the tequila.

"Sometimes alcohol is the only thing that can help." Blitz said, reaching for it.

"Normally, I'd say yes, but I'm not that dumb teenager anymore." Loona said as she pulled the booze away and pushed a mug to him. "Go on, drink up."

Blitz sighed as he grabbed the mug and took a sip of the hot cocoa.

"Hmmm, pretty good." He said woth a hum.

"I'm glad you like it." Loona said, leaning against the desk. "So…can we talk bout the mission?"

"I'd rather not." Blitz replied.

"Please do?" Loona asked, giving Blitz the "puppy dog eyes."

'Dont give in.' Blitz thought as he went quiet.

He didn't want to talk about it, like he REALLY didn't want to talk about it, but her eyes were just so adorable. So innocent, which was ironic at the same time since Loona was far from innocent; it was taking everything in Blitz to not look into her eyes and just give in to her demands.

"T-that won't work on me." Blitz said.

"Please, dad?" Loona asked, fluttering her eye lashes.

"The only thing this did was bring up memories I don't want to remember." Blitz said, glancing way.

"Then maybe we can talk about them?" Loona asked, making her lip quiver. "Please, daddy?"

"GRRRRRRRRRRRR FFFFFFFFFFFine." Blitz said with a groan.

Loona grinned as she moved to sit on his desk and waited for Blitz to start the conversation.

"I didn't have the best life." Blitz said, with a sigh. "In fact, I think the mere idea of being near me causes people pain."

No it doesn't, dad." Loona said.

"Yes it does, Loonie. I caused a lot of pain to a lot of people and a few of them that a that meant something to me, got hurt the most." Blitz said, visibly becoming depressed.

"... Not me." Loona said, making Blitz look at her, "You didn't ruin my life, you saved my life."

"Maybe but I'm sure someone would've-"

"NOBODY was going to adopt me from that place. And even if they did, they would've just kicked me out when I turned 18." Loona said as her ears dropped. "You took me in and despite all the issues I had, trust included, you didn't give up and keep caring for me. You saw something in me that made you want to help me."

"... I saw myself." Blitz admitted as he had a small flash back when he glanced at Loona, seeing the scared young hellhound crying in her room/cell while cradling into a ball once again. "I saw someone so sad, angry, and alone that it must've been hard to trust anyone. When I looked at you... I saw myself in the aftermath of my family's circus fire."

"Really?" Loona asked.

"Yeah." Blitz said, sipping more cocoa. "Just shows what one mistake can do to ya. And I ruined the lives of so many people, that I was hoping maybe I could save the life of at least one person before it was too late."

"And you did. Not just with me but you saved Millie and Moxxie too." Loona said with a smile.

"How?" Blitz asked.

"Because there was no future for any of us until you brought us together, and you made something of us." Loona said with a smile.

"Maybe you but I'm sure-"

"Millie was a lone, angry hit woman trying to make a name for herself and Moxxie was a wimpy mafia son that didn't even want to be in the mafia." Loona said, having read their personal files long ago. "If it wasn't for you, they'd either be alone and miserable or dead. Plus, they'd have never meet and gotten married. Every your self hatred can't deny that you've had a positive effect on them."

"Yeah…I guess." Blitz said, sipping his mug again so Loona can't see his smile.

"More than a guess. Not to mention you help all of the sinners that give us business find closure for those that wronged them. Petty or not." Loona added, sipping more of her cocoa. "You should be happy about all the work you've done and no matter how muc you've been pushed down by the world, you still continue to keep going."

"I'm basically a cockroach." Blitz jokes.

"Hehehehe, yeah but you're the best cockroach I know." Loona said with a smile. "And... I don't know what I'd do without you."

"You really mean that?" Blitz asked.

"With all my heart, dad." Loona said with a smile. "Whatever that guy showed you, life will never be worse than what you've been through. You've risen above that."

'And if you ever fall, I'll be there to raise you back up.' Loona thought as Blitz smiled happily at her.

"Thanks, Loonie. I needed that." Blitz said, his depressing state nearly completely gone.

"It's not that you needed it, it's that you deserved to hear it." Loona said, finishing he cocoa. "I'm going to head back to Gluttony, will you be okay on your own?"

"Yeah…I'll be fine, Loonie. I promise." Blitz said with a nod.

As Loona left, Blitz allowed himself to breath easy and finish his cup of cocoa.

'My life…it's fucked up but I'm glad, cuz it wouldn't change how good it is right now for anything.' Blitz thought before remembering a certain owl that he still had feelings for. 'Almost, anything.'
