A few weeks have passed, and today's the day. Tommy and Celeste's wedding. The reception was going to be in a nice field in the French countryside since Tommy lives with his soon-to-be wife in the beautiful European country. All the guests invited are there as well. Cody, his demon friends (in disguise) including his adopted sister, Crystal and Serena, Tex, Stolas, Blitzo, Moxxie, Millie, Fizz, Barbie, and others. Some of his close human friends were attending the ceremony too. Dave with his wife Selma, Tyler, Tyler's stepdad, some of Cody's school friends, the kind owners of the yummy African restaurant in his hometown, Miss Stacey, Cody's principal, and many of Tommy's French Foreign Legion comrades are thee, along with his former commander and general that helped the gang against Belmont and his nasty mercenaries before.
The wedding cake was yummy and exquisite with three layers of yummy vanilla with chocolate frosting on the inside.
Celeste's family was a little huge. Her parents, cousins, and six siblings were there, along with her closest friends that she loves to hang out with for "girl time". Young Cody was looking nice and prepared to give the ring to his big brother when the big moment comes. Wearing a black tuxedo with some nice shoes, he can hardly wait
Loona was wearing a long black dress that went down to above her ankles and wore hot black leggings under the dress and a nice necklace with a black broken heard as a charm.
Moxxie and Millie were wearing nice outfits as well and Blitzo... being unclassy as he is, heut wore some black pants and a t-shirt that had a tuxedo front print on it, much to Loona and Barbie's annoyance. But Blitzo is who he is, and everyone had to accept that.
"You look beautiful in that dress, Barb." said Blitzo. "I'll never forget the time when you went to prom with that-"
"I don't wanna talk about that!" Barbie exclaimed. "Blitzo, you swore you would never fucking bring it up again!"
"Ssshh, don't curse at a wedding." Moxxie said. "Besides, there are kids here."
"Right, sorry." Barbie nodded her head.
"I haven't been to a wedding since me and Moxxie's own coronation!" Millie said in excitement. "Except we're not the ones getting cold feet this time."
"Anyone seen Cody anywhere?" Said Moxxie
The boy and his adopted sister were watching the French countryside landscape as they were waiting for the wedding to officially commmence. "Well, today's the day." Cody said to the disguised female hellhound. "I have the ring in my pocket for when Tommy gets it."
"Cool. And you look cute in that tux."
"Thanks, Loona." Cody smiled. "And you look beautiful in that dress." He complimented her back.
"You're too sweet, Cody." She looked over at the horizon. "Earth can have beautiful sunsets."
"true."
At last, when the wedding happened, everyone was seated, except for Cody for being the ringbearer, waiting for the perfect moment.
Tommy was looking nice and ready for the time to he ripe like an apple fallin from a tree. At last, when the organ played, Celeste was seen walking down the pathway between the stage and the entrance. Her escort was her father, Stephane, who had an indifferent look on his face.
Celeste did say that her father is a very stubborn man before. More stubborn than ten mules combined, but her mother, Claire, is way more accepting of this. And she is always the voice of reason for Stephane.
Celeste smiled as she stood in front of her soon-to-be husband as the moment is imminent. Stephane walked away, going back to his seat without uttering a single word. "Is the ring ready?" Said the revenant.
"Yep." Tommy smiled
Cody was carrying the ring inside a white box and was walking casually. He was feeling nervous because everyone was staring at him as he was walking down. He managed to give the ring to his big brother as soon as he was close enough.
"Thanks, Cody." He said to his little brother.
Silent, the priest said: "dear friends and family. We gather here today on this wonderful occasion of the marriage between these two lovely people. Nothing is mroe special than the intertwine between people who are in love together. Thomas Laurent, do you take this lovely wedded madame to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do." Tommy smiled as he looked in Celeste's eyes.
"And Celeste Dumont, do you take this lovely man to he your lawfully wedded husband?"
"Oui. I do." She replied
"Then by my right as a priest, i hereby pronounce you both husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
As soon as the lovers kissed, it was official. Tommy and Celeste are now officially a married couple. There was the sound of clapping and applause in the crowd and Cody was happy to see his big brother and Celeste be hitched. If their mom and dad was here, they would be so happy and proud.
Slow dancing had commenced and Loona was playing guitar along with Moxxie. Tex was playing the drums and Crymini was playing as the band was a lineup again.
Weirdly, it was Blitzo singing the song. They were playing a rock ballad version of the song "I swear" by John Michael Montgomery, and the married couple never stopped taking their eyes off one another as they were blissfully dancing under the beautiful blue sky. There were a few clouds oassing by, but that didn't stop their best day ever.
Cody got himself some wedding cake and thought of good this was for his taste buds. Seeing Tommy getting hitched made him happy, but... it made him a little sad too. Maybe because time goes by fast and there'll probably be not as much days for these brothers to hang out together. But this was his hig brother's choice and he is a full-grown adult. Meaning he can do whatever he wants, and there was nothing Cody could do about it.
This wedding turned out better than expected for everyone. Everyone was mingling, having a good time, and Cody gained a new family member.
"How's the cake?" Said a man coming to greet Cody. It was Dave.
"It's really good." Cody smiled.
"Perfect." The diner owner himself got a slice of the wedding cake and said: "man, this is good. This is better than the cakes my wife bakes for me on birthdays. Oh! Don't tell her i said that though." He whispered in Cody's ear.
"I won't tell her. I promise." Cody smirked.
"Just look at those two. Your brother's growin' up fast, Cody. I'll never forget the day me and Tommy first met when he was in middle school. I was just opening up my diner with the most lovely lady in the world and when me and Selma got married a few weeks after."
"You and Selma got married then?"
"Yep. It was the happiest day of my life. Just like him getting married to Celeste is the happiest day of his life. I'm gonna miss one of my favorite customers, but I guess life is life."
"Well, i'm sure he'll still see you again in life."
"Oh yeah, yeah. Not saying I'll never see him again." He took another bite of his slice. "I'm very proud of him, Cody. Nothing like a young healthy couple getting married."
"Cody." Said a female voice. It was Misty in her human disguise. "Normally, weddings bore me to tears. But this is an awesome one!" Then she looked at the band. "Mostly because of that." She pointed at Loona playing her guitar and soloing to the timeless song.
"Glad you're liking it." Cody smiled. "Misty," he began to ask his hellhound girlfriend, "Do you think anything will change between me and Tommy bow that he's married?"
"Well, i don't know him too well, but no. He's still your brother. He's not dying or anything."
"No, you're right."
"Though how do you think our wedding cake will turn out?" She had a seductive smile, making Cody choke on a bite of his slice of cake. "Oh i'm just kidding." Misty smiled
