The door to Millie and Moxxie's apartment was unlocked. "Sloppy." Crimson thought to himself as he slowly opened the door. He was on a mission to find two little imps living in this apartment. It didn't take long to find them though, as he soon saw Jessie and Amanda on the floor of the living room, the former playing with action figures and the other drawing on a piece of paper.
It also didn't take long for them to notice the intruder who entered their house. They saw the purple suit he wore with a red turtleneck shirt under it. He also wore dark violet pants and a hat. Poking out of the sides of his hat were two black horns. The children knew exactly who this was.
"Hey, kiddos," Crimson said with a smile that showed his golden tooth. Just then, the click of a shotgun could be heard from his right. It was Diana Mayberry pointing a shotgun at him from the kitchen.
"Oh, thank god!" Diana sighed in relief as she put the shotgun down.
"Great Uncle Crimson!" The kids shouted as they ran to hug him.
"How are ya little rascals doin'!?" Crimson said as he rubbed their heads.
"I drew a horse today!" Amanda said.
"Really. Can I see it?"
Amanda went over to pick up her drawing on the floor before giving it to him. It was a red horse with a fiery mane and tail. Even for a kid's drawing it was quite impressive. "Oh Satan, this is good, Amanda!"
"Really!?" She said.
"Why it reminds me of back home in Wrath!" Crimson's wrathian accent started to come in. "Would it be ok if I take this home to show to Great Uncle Alessio?"
Amanda gave a smile as she nodded, "Sure!"
"And you, little guy!" Crimson said as he turned his attention to Jessie. "How's it goin' with you?"
"Mommy showed me how to throw knives!"
"Did she now? Well, yer gonna have to show me sometime!"
Diana entered the room, "Honestly, you could've just knocked. I was so close to shooting your head off."
"You woulda' missed," Crimson said. "Besides, you should lock your doors. You've been in hell long enough to know that this place ain't safe."
"I was just leaving it unlocked for-" Before she could finish, they both heard the front door open. When they turned, they saw Millie and Moxxie come in.
"Uncle Crim?" Moxxie said in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"What, I can't visit my nephew and his family whenever I want?" Crim said. Moxxie rolled his eyes and gave him a hug, with Millie doing so after.
Smithson never told Moxxie or any of his family about his brother Crimson. That's because he left him behind to rot in one of those private prisons after a heist, long before he became the founder of Smithson Industries. Moxxie never knew about his uncle until shortly after killing his father, when Crim invited him to his mansion in Greed.
There he learned how Crim started off from a simple soldier to a captain all the way to the head of the family. And the person who stood by his side from the beginning was Alessio, his former captain and now husband, making Moxxie have 2 uncles. The imp was shocked at first, understandably, but soon found it nice to have a family member that wasn't a complete shitbag.
Crim and Millie also hit it off well, especially when she got to talking about her sister Sallie May and her brother Bosco. Both of which were trans, much like Crim was. It also helped that they were both Wrath imps, adding another surprise to Moxxie finding out that his dad was one as well despite not showing any signs of being one.
"Let me guess, you were at work?" Crim asked his nephew.
"Yeah, we just killed some rich asshole who raised the price of a life-saving drug. Millie took out the guards."
"And my hubby shot him right between the eyes." Millie said as she kissed her husband on the cheek. Crimson could see how much these two loved each other and worked incredibly well together. Even Alessio saw it when they first visited his mansion, so much so that they were gushing over them after they left. Not only was he proud of his nephew for living through Smithson's shit, but also found that special someone that made him feel complete. In a way, it reminded him of his own struggles and achievements.
Crimson smiled as he pulled his nephew and niece-in-law in for another hug. "I'm proud of you two."
"We're proud of you too." Moxxie said, which Crim appreciated.
After the hug was over, he turned his attention to his niece-in-law. "So, Jessie here's been tellin' me ya've been teaching him knife throwing."
Millie made a wide grin, for she knew what he was insinuating. "Are ya thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?"
"If yer thinkin' knife throwing competition, then hell yeah!"
"Yes!" Millie turned to her son. "Jessie, ya wanna' go knife throwin' at the park!?"
"Yeah!" The little imp said with enthusiasm.
