Jessie and Amanda were giddy with excitement as their father pulled into the parking lot of "The Cheap Shot," A shooting gallery that Moxxie liked to go to for practice. But today he would come not for practice, but for some time with the kids. None were as excited to be here as Amanda, who would finally get the chance to learn how to shoot like her Dad.

"Daddy!" She said as she got out of the car. "Can I shoot first!?"

"Of course you can, Sweetie," Moxxie said as he patted her head. Seeing Amanda so excited to learn how to shoot warmed his heart.

"Awww, I wanna shoot too!" Jessie said.

"You can have a turn after your sister." Moxxie led the kids into the building, where they were greeted with the sound of gunshots, talking, and music playing over the speakers. Shooting galleries in Hell were treated like bowling alleys on Earth. There were tables for eating and socializing behind rows of booths where people took their shots.

Moxxie and his kids walked up to the counter in front of the entrance where an imp with a 5 o'clock shadow and a red Cheap Shot shirt stood. The moment this imp saw Moxxie come towards him he smiled.

"Hey, Moxxie!" The imp said. "Good to see ya!"

"Good to see you too, Dav!" Moxxie replied. Dav had been an employee at this shooting gallery for as long as Moxxie came here to practice his skills for I.M.P. He came so often that Dav would recognize and start a work-customer friendship with him.

"Let me guess, you here for target practice?"

Moxxie shook his head, "Nope, at least not for me. I brought the kids here so they can learn how to shoot just like their Dad!"

Dav looked over the counter and saw the two kids standing next to Moxxie. "Hey there, kids!" He said as he waved at them, to which they waved back. "So you two are the little ones that Moxxie won't shut up about! Well, let's get you to the booth your Dad here reserved." Dav turned around. "Yo, Rich! Take over for me! I've got some important shooters here to look after!"

The imp jumped over the counter and led the three to their booth, which was near the middle of the row. "So, which of you is going first?"

"Me!" Amanda said.

With a grin, Dav pulled out a stool under the counter where the gun was, which they had for the children. Amanda eagerly jumped up and picked up the gun. Moxxie smiled as he stood beside her daughter, having flashbacks to when Jessie I taught him how to shoot.

A beep went off as the cardboard shadow silhouette of a demon popped up, ready to be filled with holes. "Now remember, sweetie," Moxxie said as he helped adjust her aim. "Make sure you keep your shoulders straight and aim down that sight, OK?"

"Ok, Daddy!" Amanda closed her left eye to aim down the sight. When she picked her target she pulled the trigger, the bang of the gun going off until the clip was empty. However, despite the many shots that were fired, not a single one hit the cardboard, much to Amanda's disappointment.

"It's ok," Moxxie said, trying to comfort Amanda. "We all start off rough."

"But I did what you said."

"I know, but maybe you need to keep your hands still. You can have perfect aim but still miss your shot."

Amanda nodded, "OK, I think I get it."

"Great, now let's try it again!"

"Aw!" Jessie pouted, "But I wanna shoot!"

"Let's just give your sister another try, OK?" Moxxie said, to which Jessie replied with a disappointed nod.

"I'll activate a target closer to ya this time," Dav said as he tinkered around with his tablet. After saying that a target a couple of meters closer popped up. Amanda did the same thing her father taught her, aiming down the sight and keeping her shoulders straight, but she also tried her best to keep her hands steady. She once again unloaded her clip, and when it was done Amanda saw that she finally hit… the outside of the target.

Amanda tried again and again, with each attempt being just as bad as the last. Eventually, the target was 5 meters in front of her, and she did hit a couple of targets inside the silhouette. However, they were worth the least amount of points.

"Great job, Amanda!" Moxxie said, trying to comfort the depressed Amanda. "Look, you got on the board!" He said as he pointed up to the scoreboard, which had Amanda's name with the number 50 next to it.

"That's probably the lowest score we've ever had," Dav said in disbelief. "And we've had blind people shoot here."

Moxxie gave Dav a disapproving look, trying to get him to shut up, but it was too late. Amanda dropped the pistol as she began to cry and ran out the front entrance. "Amanda!" Moxxie shouted before turning to Dav. "Watch Jessie for me!" He ran out to where Amanda exited and found her sitting on the steps crying with her head down.

"There, there," Moxxie said as he sat down next to her. "It doesn't matter if you're not good at shooting."

"But… But I wanna be like you, Daddy." Amanda said as she wiped the tears from her face.

"Why do you want to be like me?"

"Because… because I want you to be proud of me."

"Oh, sweetie." Moxxie put his hand on her back. "You don't have to be good at guns to do that. You already make me proud with other things."

"I… I do?"

"Yeah, when I see the drawings you made of me and Mom when I get home it makes me so happy. I mean, how many dads in Hell do you think have kids that draw pictures for them?"

"Not a lot."

"Exactly. The fact that I have a daughter who loves me so much that she draws me shooting bad guys makes me the luckiest dad in Hell. I don't want you to be just like me, I want you to live your life the way you want to."

"I… I do like drawing."

"Then keep doing that. If it makes you happy, then that's good enough for me."

Amanda gave a big smile before hugging her dad. "I love you, Daddy," she said.

"I love you too, sweetie," Moxxie said before returning the hug. The door soon interrupted their sweet moment as it flew open, revealing Dav catching his breath.

"You never told me your son was a shooting legend!" He said.

Moxxie was confused over what he meant, so Dav led him inside where he and Amanda saw a crowd gathering around their booth. As they pushed through said crowd to get a good look, they saw Jessie shooting at every target that popped up. What was surprising is that he shot the center of every red dot on the target, racking up a ridiculous amount of points.

"This kid's good." One demon next to them said.

"I've never seen anyone shoot that fast and accurately before!" Another one said. Moxxie had put Amanda on his shoulder so she could see. He couldn't help but be proud of his son, but he kept quiet so as to not make Amanda feel bad. But to his surprise, he heard his daughter cheer him on.

"Yeah!" Amanda shouted, "That's my brother!" Moxxie's smile widened as he joined in on the cheering.

"And that's my son!" He shouted, causing the imp boy to smile back at his family before returning his focus to the targets. As the last one went down, the scoreboard showed Jessie's number at 150,000 points.

"Holy crap!" Dav said. "Kid, you just beat Wild Woody's record!"

"The fuck was that!?" A voice from the crowd said. A figure pushed through to reveal a large, menacing man with the face of a boar and a black, leather jacket with black leather pants.

"I think I must be hearing things." The boar man said as he approached Jessie. "I could've sworn I heard someone say that some stupid imp kid beat my record."

"The scoreboard doesn't lie, Woody," Dav said as he pointed to the screen. Woody responded with a humph.

"We'll see about that," Woody said before turning his attention back to the child. "You think you're good, kid? Then prove it. You and me, we'll have a shootout just to show you who's the real champ around here."

"C'mon, Woody." Dav said as he got between them. "You really wanna waste time on a ki-" Woody interrupted him by grabbing him by the throat and choking him.

"Kid or not, I need to send a message to stupid lowborn demons who think they're better than me."

This demon intimidated Jessie, but then he heard a voice from the crowd. "You can do it, Jessie!" Amanda shouted. "Kick his butt!"

Hearing his sister cheer for him gave him a boost of confidence. "You're on, asshole!" He said.

Woody let go of Dav, "Big mouth on you. We'll see how big it is when I beat you down to the ground."

The rules of a shootout were simple: the contestants would take turns shooting the targets that popped up. They would shoot until the 1 minute timer went off. Each target's points are tripled, and the one who gets the highest score in a single round is the winner.

Woody went first, stepping up to the booth and prepping his gun. The cardboard target was up for one millisecond before Woody shot it dead center. Another one soon popped up, and he shot it with terrifying accuracy. One by one he shot down those cutouts, some of which were moving or popped up at the same time with another. It didn't matter; he shot the red dots on all of them… well, almost all of them.

There was one target that was unique to The Cheap Shot they saved for shootouts, and that was the golden bullseye, which was worth 400,000 points, an instant win. However, it was small and slid across the ceiling so fast that it was nearly impossible to hit, so most demons didn't even bother with it, not even Woody. They mainly kept it as a tradition since the gallery's founder was the only one who could hit it.

The last target went down and the scoreboard showed the number 500,000 next to Woody's name. With a grin, he blew the smoke coming from his gun's muzzle and moved out of the way for the little imp. Jessie took deep breaths as he picked up the gun from the counter, getting ready to shoot.

As the first target came up, Jessie didn't hesitate to pull the trigger and hit the red dots on the silhouette. Much like Woody, he was quick and accurate with his shots, easily gaining a large amount of points. But at this rate, he would've tied with Woody, and Jessie wanted to beat him. Meanwhile, the boar demon still had that grin on his face, the type of grin that reminded Moxxie of Striker. Now Moxxie had more than one reason for wanting his son to win aside from supporting Jessie.

Everything changed when the golden bullseye appeared. As Jessie looked at it whizzing by, everything slowed down for him. So much so that the bullseye was actually visible. He didn't question it, he just aimed at it and pulled the trigger.

The moment the bullet went through, the entire room gasped, including Wild Woody. The scoreboard then flashed the words "Bullseye Hit!" and "Jessie's the Winner!" Gasps turned into cheers as Jessie looked around in awe. Amanda even climbed down her father and ran to give him a big hug, which he gladly accepted. It was a scene that couldn't make Moxxie anymore happier.

Woody, however, didn't make a sound as his opponent basked in the glory, too shocked to react. But soon that shock would turn into anger. "You son of a bitch!" He shouted as he pulled out his own pistol and pointed it at Jessie with murder in his eyes, causing the crowd to gasp before going silent.

But before he could pull the trigger, a gunshot went off and his head exploded into tiny flesh pieces. He eventually fell down onto the ground as blood poured onto the floor. When everyone turned to see where the gunshot came from, they saw Moxxie holding his gun out with smoke coming from the muzzle.

"No one threatens my kids," Moxxie said. "And no one calls my wife that."

"He was an overlord," Dav said in disbelief as he stared at Woody's corpse.

"Well, looks like a position is open then." Moxxie approached his kids, picked them up, and put them on each of his shoulders. As they exited, Jessie gave a devilish smile to the rest of the people looking at them, trying to give a message. That message being don't mess with this family.

One thing was for certain for Moxxie though, he was proud of both his kids. He would just have to find a different place to practice for a while.
