Chapter 4 The Plan Going Forward
Yu took a while to go back to his apartment he honestly needed to think through what he just experienced. I mean he met a fallen angel, summoned his persona in reality, found out there's more of them like her, and they're supposedly killing innocent people... Yu really thought he was done with all this back in inaba but it seems fate had something else in mind for him. When yu finally got to his apartment he immediately sat down on the couch trying to finally rest. Izanagi could feel his masters troubled mind and wanted to ease it.
Izanagi: master narukami I can tell your mind is troubled it does not need to be.
Yu was somewhat surprised to hear his personas voice in his head again
Yu: not to be mean izanagi but that's easy for you to say I feel like everything's shattered and jumbled all at same time.
It was understandable why yu thinks this way. His whole world view was shattered again and on top of that he's once again pulled back into the supernatural only this time it's in reality of all places.
Izanagi: And sense when has that ever stopped you? You who have saved all your friends from their monstrous other selvs, You who have found the real culprit that hid behind many false leads and diversions, You who have ultimately defeated a goddess that was willing to destroy all of humanity and everything that they stood for, You who has obtained the word in the Palm of your hands.
Yu was honestly caught off guard by what izanagi said. But then he soon realized that he was right. Yu had been through so much over the past year and you know what? He made it out alive and so much more stronger then he was. He made great friends, found the love of his life, and ultimately saved the world with nothing in hand but a sword. Yea izanagis right, yu went to far and fought to hard to just complain about what happened. It doesn't matter what's going to happen all that matters is what he's going to do about it.
Yu: your right izanagi I've been through way worse than this. And right now I don't care if they're angels or fallen angels for that matter. If they're out there going around hurting or killing innocent people. Then I'm gonna stop them no matter what it takes
Izanagi: Now there's the young man I pledge my loyalty to. I'm with you master narukami what ever you wish to do ill be right by your side.
Yu: thanks izanagi *sighs* I just wish I had my other personas but I haven't felt them since we defeated the evil izanami.
Izanagi: but you can have them master
Yu: what? How?
Izanagi: you already know how
Yu was confused by what he meant but then he remembered what izanagi said about having the world arcane. And so he held out his hand makeing the world arcane appear. And with thoughtful breath he spoke his wish.
Yu: I wish that I had all the personas that I have gained returned to me, and that they are able to be summoned in reality as well.
And as yu said those words and crushed the tarot card another wave of force exploded from yu. And the he heard them yu can hear the voices of his personas and not just twelve but all of them. Form the childish female fairy Pixie, to the father god creator of Japan izanagi-no-Okami. To any one else the hundreds of voices would make them feel insane but yu found the voices comforting and enjoying they're more than being part of his life they're part of his very experience without he felt very empty.
Yu: *laughs* your here! Your all actually here!
Pixie: you're telling me! Its about time you brought us back!
Pixie, still as sarcastic and playful as always
Titania: are you really going to talk to our master that way?
And then there's Titania the fairy queen makeing sure to keep the fairy's in Yu's soul in check and by the way she talked and the strenuous in her voice she sounded serious which gave Pixie a little scare.
pixie: n-n-no no ofcource not my queen I'm sorry please forgive me
Titania: it is not me who you should ask for for forgiveness
Pixie was now genuinely scared
Pixie: I'm sorry I'm sorry I take back what I said back please don't punish me master narukami
Yu really doesn't know why she thinks he'll punish her being sarcastic is part of her nature
Yu: pixie it's ok I'm not gonna punish you and I'm not upset I've actually missed you to
Even though yu couldn't see it he could definitely tell that she was blushing
Pixie: p-please don't tease me like that jeez
Yu pretty spent the rest of the evening talking to his personas about what he went through and how he's gonna deal with it going forward. But then one persona specifically ishtar decided to bring up Yu's final night in inaba with marie. Which definitely got most of the female personas interested like succubus, cybele, leanan sidhe, and lilith. Did she really have to bring that up though? Yes she is the human image of the Babylonian goddess of love but really? Now's not really the time for all that. And so yu decided to immediately try to get the conversation back on topic which the izanagis were more than thankful for that to happen. The angle personas specifically were unsurprisingly more than willing to help there master with his goal which again wasn't a surpris given two reasons you can pretty much guess what they are. They told them specifically that a fallen angel is... well an angel that has fallen from grace and have been cast out of heaven because they in one way or another have committed sins against god and heaven. Yea that sounds about right considering what raynere had braged to yu about. But that's a problem for another day and yu was getting tired so he went to his room and went to sleep. But when he started waking in familiar place a place he knows all to well with two people he deeply recognized.
Igor: Well come back to the velvet room my remarkable guest
Margaret: Indeed welcome back my dear guest
Yu: Igor? Margaret?
Igor: yes and do not worry you are still asleep in the real world. I have summoned you within your dreams to discuss important matters.
Yu thought this most likely about that fight he had with that fallen angel
Yu: okay well I can pretty guess it was about that fallen angel right?
Igor could only chuckled at what yu said leaving him a little confused. It wasn't until Margaret decided to answer
Margaret: *chuckles* no my dear guest we are here to talk about the new power yu have awakened, the power of the world arcane
Yu definitely felt embarrassed at that
Yu: ...oh sorry
Margaret: there's no need, we understand that you've used power twice correct? Both to bring back the personas you've once wielded?
Yu could ask how they know that but it would be meaningless
Yu: yes I did... Was I not supposed to?
Margaret: no no it's nothing like that
Igor: we just want to warn you about the cost of using it to recklessly
That definitely got Yu's attention
Yu: cost?! What kind of costs?
Igor: as you can see the power of the world arcane is incredibly powerful but that's what also makes it the most dangerous. It similar to the universe arcane a power my previous guest obtained through his journey
Yu was both amazed and confused about what he heard. There was a universe arcane? And there someone else within the velvet room before him? If that's true then where is he now?
Yu: if you don't mind me asking where is he then?
Both Margaret and Igor suddenly looked sad, and yes despite his ever huge grin and blood shot eyes he can still look sad winch yu could notice.
Yu: what? Did I say something wrong?
Margaret: No my guest... You see...you remembered what I told you after our battle?
Yu: yea you said something about a boy that slumbers at the end of the world becoming a great seal right?
All yu could mostly remember about that moment was how extremely hard Margaret was as an opponent. He knew he could have brought his friends but he got the feeling that Margaret only wanted him.
Margaret: ...yes that was my previous masters guest
Yu was now putting the pieces together
Yu: ...oh I'm so sorry Igor
Igor: it alright though I am sad for the poor young man he did what he did for the friends he's gained same with you which is why we wish to warn you about
Margaret: the world arcane does allow you to shift the world how you wish but you need to be very careful on how you want the world to shift. One wrong word and you cause major catastrophe to you, those around you, or the world itself
Yu could not hide the horror on his face. He didn't fully understand the kind of power he possesses now. To put bluntly be extremely careful in what you wish for is what he's getting from this.
Yu: Ok I understand now thank you for telling me
Igor: of course young man and if I remember correctly you have encountered a new strange entity correct?
Yu: yes she said she was a fallen angel. So they really do exist
Igor: yes they do
Yu: what else exist. then what else exist out there?
Margaret: everything, the mythologys, the fairy tales, all of them
Yu couldn't believe what he was hearing it turns every famous fictional story known to man was all real? How has no one ever talked about it being real? How has no one noticed by now? As if reading Yu's thoughts Igor decided to answer
Igor: there are ways to hide the world of the supernatural from humans you've witnessed one of them
Yu took a second to think back seeing as he didn't really know what he meant. And then it hit him
Yu: when the sky went dark that her casting an illusion around the area I see now that makes sense.
Igor: i also suspect that plan on pursuing the fallen angels correct?
Yu: yes I don't care what they are or how many of them there are they're not going to get away with what ever they're doing.
Igor and Margaret can see the determination on Yu's face and they could not be more happier
Igor: just as I expected from our remarkable guest. We know that you used the world to regain all your personas back but should you ever need our assistance again you are always welcomed here.
Yu: thanks igor I really appreciate it
Just as yu said that he could feel his consciousness start to drift away
Igor: it seems our time has run out my young man. We must say farewell for now but we shall surely meet again.
And with that yu vision went all black as he was drifted back to sleep.
Meanwhile somewhere in town there is a female fallen angel who had finally woke up and made her way to her hideout that turned out to be a church.
Raynere was was beyond irritated and pissed off. She got bested by a human A HUMAN! And she told him nearly all of her secrets willingly.
Raynere: how can something like that even happen? *growls* it was only cause he had some mysterious avatar type sacred gear backing him it's got to be.
Raynere continued to think to herself when she hears a familiar voice behind her
Dohnaseek: you really like to talk to yourself don't you?
There goes Dohnaseek acting as smug as just as she was about to speak she hears another familiar voice come from the side
Mittelt: ofcource she does it's like she has anyone else to talk to *Snickers*
And then there's Mittelt acting like a spoiled little brat like always which was only making raynere more angry.
Raynere: you two can be very annoying you know that?
Mittelt: yea well it not like we can do much of anything being stuck in this old church
Kalawarna: you better watch what you say while you're in here "HE" might be listening
And here comes kalawarna coming from the stairs in front of a statue she's the only person here raynere doesn't mind tolerateing.
Mittelt: eh who cares it's not like he owns me anymore
Kalawarna: well don't say I didn't warn you
Kalawarna then looks over to raynere and notices something about her
Kalawarna: hey..raynere... what happened to your wing?
it was then that raynere looked at her wing and is reminded what that constructed sacred gear did.
Raynere*growls* I...really don't want to talk about it
Both Dohnaseek and Mittelt were now looking at rayneres sliced off wing. Dohnaseek looked at curiosity while Mittelt looked at it amusingly
Dohnaseek: hmmmm insterting, got cut clean through. What could you have possibly encountered that could something like that?
Raynere didn't know if he just didn't hear what she said or just didn't care. Either way she might as well tell them or else she's never gonna hear the end of it.
Raynere: *growls* ...it was the humans sacred gear that I went to eliminate
Kalawarna: what!? Are you sure? They're aren't that many sacred gears that can do that. The odds of you running into one are-
Raynere: incredibly rare I know trust me I know
Dohnaseek was now even more interested seeing as their can actually be an opponent worth his time considering he always loves A challenge mostly when he knows he's gonna be the victor he maybe A proud fighter but that doesn't mean he's a stupid one
Dohnaseek: hmmmm I kinda want to meet him now
The rest of the room were not at all surprised by his comment given how kalawarna palmed her face, while Mittelt just sighed and raynere only chuckled
Kalawarna: ...Dohnaseek...
Mittelt: ofcource you do you muscle bound barbarian
Dohnaseek could care less about what they're all saying
Dohnaseek: hey I love a good challenge that gives me a motivation to get stronger unlike you all
As much as the others would love to disagree with what he said they know they really can't
Raynere: hey if you want to go take you chances with the human go be my guest but I wouldn't if I were you his scared gear has some serious power
That comment definitely got everyone's attention
Kalawarna: what do you mean? What kind of power are we talking about?
Raynere: well for one his sacred gear is a construct an avatar type of some kind. And you can already see it was strong enough to slice my wing in half. And it had a really strong power over lightning. And it wielded some kind of weapon I don't really know what it is it looked like a spear but it use it like it was a sword it could be both to be honest.
The more raynere spoke the more interested both kalawarna and Dohnaseek were while Mittelt was still acting as care free as ever
Raynere: but that's not all the human said its name was was izanagi?
Hearing that definitely got a surprised reaction out of Dohnaseek while kalawarna just looked confused
Dohnaseek: what!? What did you say it's name was?
Everyone in the was now wondering why Dohnaseek looked so surprised
Raynere: uhhh izanagi...why is it-
Before she got another word out Dohnaseek was already in a panic
Dohnaseek: Shit...SHIT...This is bad this it really bad
Raynere: HEY! what's gotten in to you all of a sudden
Dohnaseek: ...DON'T YOU GET IT!
It was obvious that they didn't
Raynere: No! Please enlighten me
Dohnaseek: *groans* izanagi is the name of the God creator of Japan!
He thought that will get their wheels turning but they still don't get it which he noticed
Dohnaseek: *loudly groans* don't you get it? If that avatar type sacred gear shares the same name with one the biggest gods in Japanese mythology don't you think it has that name for a reason?
The rest of the now started to think on what Dohnaseek just said. And then it hit raynere.
Raynere: ...No...it can't... You don't think... But that's impossible
Dohnaseek: it has to be there's no other explanation. Think about it, when you were fighting it what did his power feel like? Not just the fact that it's huge but what did it felt like he was doing?
It at that moment that raynere had a horrible realization
Raynere: ...it felt like he was holding back the entire time
Dohnaseek then made a face of "exactly"
Raynere:... FUCK!
both kalawarna and Mittelt were just completely lost on what's happening
Kalawarna: ummm hello someone wanna fill us in?
Dohnaseek was the one to answer considering how raynere is still in utter shock and horror after what she just learned
Dohnaseek: basically what raynere just encountered might have been an unknown Longinus user
That definitely got a surprised reaction out them
Kalawarna: An unknown Longinus user? But that's impossible there should only be13 are you sure it wasn't one of them?
Dohnaseek: have you ever heard of sacred gear with the name izanagi? That cam not only use lightning but is also strong enough to cut a fallen angels wing in half?
Kalawarna tried to find a way to answer his question but she ultimately couldn't
Kalawarna: ...what the hell? So we basically caught the attention of a Longinus user that's completely unknown... DANMIT!
it was at that moment that moment that moment that raynere remembered something that shook her very core
Raynere: ...guys...there's more... I told that human EVERYTHING
Everyone was now showing A face of concern
Kalawarna: what exactly do you mean by everything?
Raynere: everything. About what we are, what the 4 of us are doing here, and...and I even told him the name of governor General.
The shock and surprise was on everyones face
Dohnaseek: what!? How in the hell could you do something like that!?
Mittelt: *Snickers* so that basically makes you a traitor then huh?
Mittelt summoned her light spear ready to throw it at raynere. Raynere summoned her own light spear ready to defend herself.
Kalawarna: hey! Hold it you two!
At that command both raynere and Mittelt stood down and deactivated their spears
Kalawarna: look we all very well that rayneres not a traitor. She looks up to our governor General very highly. And what we're doing is incredibly important there's no way raynere would give up that kind of information willingly. *sighs* either way that human knows way to much about what we are and what we're doing.
Kalawarna now has a serious expression
Kalawarna: we have to eliminate him
Raynere: yea you're telling me. But I already tried and look what happened.
Kalawarna: he may have faced one of us but not the 4 of us I'm sure if we just plan this right we can do it
Mittelt: and how do you suppose we do that? We don't even really know who he is, where he lives, or where he goes.
Raynere: well I do know he goes through the Park sometimes but that's only when he wants to. If we're gonna stage an ambush we're gonna need to make sure he goes there when we want him to
Mittelt: so what your saying is we need to bait him
Kalawarna: exactly but with what tho?
Everyone started thinking on how to answer that question. And then after awhile raynere had an idea
Raynere: hey I think I got something
Kalawarna: oh yeah? Do tell us
Raynere: while I was interrogated by the human I learned A few things about him. For one he's one of those humans that think themselves as some kind of hero. When I told him about what we do to humans like him *chuckles* he definitely got really mad
Everyone else soon started laughing with raynere
Kalawarna: so all we need to do is get some pitiful human to become live bait? Hmmm then I think I know the perfect candidate
Raynere: hmm? Ohhh you mean him right?
Kalawarna: yes that pervy little teenager who we also assumed that had a sacred gear he'll be perfect
Raynere: and I know just what to do in order to do that*laughs* alright looks like we have a plan now thats left is to put it in motion. Ill start tomorrow
Kalawarna: alright everyone get some rest your gonna need it for what's gonna happen
And with that everyone disbanded to do their own thing before the ambush. It was only kalawarna that decided to stop raynere.
Raynere: what is it?
Kalawarna: you don't I'm gonna let you only have one wing right?
Raynere: what? But we can just wait for her to get here to do it
Kalawarna: maybe but having one wing will slow your flight I'd rather you be at your strongest
Raynere was caught off guard by what kalawarna said but she eventually let her do her thing. You see before kalawarna fell she was one of the most talented healer in haven but thanks to some asshole she had a thing with she was cast out and her abilities are now limited but she still thinks repairing an angels wings is a simple fix. And so with a bright green shining over rayneres wings it started to grow and grow until the wing was repaired. Kalawarna was satisfied with result but doing that left her really drained. That's the cost of using half assed healing magic I guess.
Raynere: hmm thanks this will really help
And with that raynere went to do her thing like the others. While kalawarna just decided to lay on a nearby church chair to rest considering that she's totally exhausted. And while she laid there she was brought back to the one and only time she was in love. A love that was soon turned into hatred, regret, and left her in a constant feeling of betrayal.
Kalawarna: you fucking asshole. I hope your rotting away into nothing where ever you are
