After the battles and many hardships Yu narukami and his investigation team finally solved the mystery and dispelled the fog for good but now it's time for Yu and his friends to start their next adventure to a place called kuho Academy where there are still more mysterious to be solved.

10. Chapter 10

Chapter 10 Getting Familiars

Three days have passed sense yu's... Crazy few days adventures. And those days were the only time Yu got to relax and take a rest. Yu finally got to telling everyone about what he's been through the past couple days. And as you would imagine they thought he was telling some ridiculous story but Yu made it clear he was serious.

Rias: ok so in short you killed a herd of yeties, slayed a red dragon, defeated a small team of powerful humans, saved a fallen angles child from a severe comma, and vanquished "two" higher vampires one that was immune to sunlight and the other a highly skilled spell caster, and you somehow did all of this in those four days?

Yu: yep pretty much

Issei: ...dude you know how ridiculous that sounds right?

Yu: I told you already that im being serious

Rias: ...seriously yu-kun just what are you?

Yu just shrugs

Yu: im still human if you want to check again

Rias: *chuckles* tempting but speaking of human that group of humans you fought you said they were the leaders of a supernatural hunting organization?

Yu: yea they plan to cause a massive genocide against all supernaturals including you guys

Akeno: and you willing declined they're offer to join and actually fought them off to defend us? Awww you're so sweet yu-kun

Yu: I just did what I had to for the one's I care about

Akeno: *inner speech* mmm just when I thought he couldn't get any more deliciously hotter

Rias: *sighs* still the thought of a group like that out there plotting our destruction does concern me I'll have to bring this news to the others soon

Issei: ok look there are things more important here!

Rias: what?

Issei: did you actually save a princess from a dragon?

Yu: ...yea why?

Issei: was she hot

Rias: *sighs* ...issei

Issei: what? I have to know

Yu: uhhhhh I guess so I wasn't really concerned with her looks

Issei: ..wasn't con-….dude did you even get to see how big her knockers were?

Rias just face palms

Yu: uhhhhh no why does matter?

Issei: if it was me I would have sure she paid me back in sexual favors but no it had to be you!

Rias face palms again

Rias: *sighs* and that's exactly why it wasn't you

Koneko: plus you would have just screwed it up do to your pervey nature

Issei: hey! You don't know that!

Koneko: everyone knows that

Akeno: besides it's ok Hun

Issei: huh how?

Akeno then talks in a seductive voice

Akeno: you can come rescue me anytime

Issei: *gulp* r-r-really?

Asia then out of nowhere pinches isseis cheeks hard

Asia: ohhh issei!

Issei: ow hey come on can you blame me?

Rias: *sighs* anyway all though I am still a bit skeptical about what you've accomplished these past few day I guess It shouldn't surprise me at this point considering what you've been through last year

Yu: well if you want proof I can show you the actual locations

Rias: *chuckles* no need yu-kun that won't be necessary

Akeno: actually miss President that might be a good idea for one of them at least

Rias: hmm? What do you mean?

Akeno: well. Hey narukami-kun what did you do with the dragon and its horde?

Yu: huh? I left it all back at the cave

Rias: what? You mean both its horde and its corpse are still there?

Yu: like I said all that mattered to me at the time was the girl Sarah's safety

Rias: hmmm I see

Yu: if you want we can go there now

Rias: there's no need just come here for a second

Yu: huh wait what are you-

Rias walks up to Yu places two of her fingers on his temple and sees a glimpse of the cave were the dragon was. She then waves her had to the floor and uses a teleportation spell on every one. After a few seconds everyone appeared in the same cave where Xyldradarth corps and horde still remained.

Yu: whoa what just happened?

Rias: I just saw a glimpse of the location in your memory I'm sorry I know it seems intrusive but-

Yu: no its fine this makes it easier. Well there they are

Everyone now sees the dead giant red dragon and the huge mountain of gold and treasures

Akeno: my my it seems the dragon is still in good condition

Yu: yea why is that? I dealt with him days ago

Rias: dragons are very different from most creatures when they die they're bodies still remain the same as the moment they were killed it last for about a hundred years

Yu: danm alright then

Issei: hey! Who cares about the dead giant lizard I mean look at this!

Issei points over the mountain of gold

Rias: a yes hmmm narukami are you playing on taking any of this

Yu: I was gonna deal with it later but how about you take it?

Rias: huh? Me?

Yu: yea I mean you would know what to do with all of this

Rias: narukami you're the one that defeated the dragon single handedly it's yours

Siegfried: I wouldn't call it single handedly

Yu: yea I wasn't exactly alone but how about this this will be the clubs treasure. When ever someone in the club needs it they'll have it

Rias: wow narukami how very generous of you *chuckles* alright I accept

After rias expressed her gratitude she tells koneko to handle the treasure by opening a big portal for her to throw the treasure through. She then tells kiba and Akeno to take everything from Xyldradarths corps

Issei: uhhhh why? Isn't that-

Kiba: dragons have a great many valuable body parts that can be sold for a great many

Issei: whoa really? Can I help?

Rias: uhhh issei are you sure this could get-

Issei: I want to help let me do this

Rias: *chuckles* alright your sacred gear might actually help

Issei: alright good

And so issei, kiba, and Akeno got to work. Cutting and tearing away at Xyldradarth which definitely nearly made issie puke but he pulled through and continued.

Yu: *inner speech* well seeing as how everyone is busy in her I'm gonna go head out

And so yu exited the cave summoned garuda to place on an area of yu's choosing and switched garuda to titania. Emerging from light is an enchantingly beautiful blonde haired woman with pointy ears and large fairy wings wareing a green flowing dress. She flies up high in the air taking in the surrounding nature. Then all of a sudden she starts to fly and flutter in a mesmerizing pattern almost like a dance. Yu was watching her completely entranced by his fairy queen persona. Soon the winds begin to pick up lifting up a bunch of leaves and rustled some trees. Yu knew she was using her wind spell but that didn't make what he was seeing any less beautiful. She soon began to start singing not really with any words but it was like a harmonizing melody. Her singing soon brought the attention of several animals especially birds that were flying and dancing along with her. Yu was honestly mesmerized in all his time knowing titania he didn't know the she was capable of this

Oberon: they don't call her the queen of the fairy's for nothing *sighs* what a woman what happened to us?

High pixie: you were unfaithful to her

Oberon: ….oh….right

Jack frost: hee he really did that ho?

High pixie: yes and the great queen still resents him for it till this day

Vishnu: you really did that to a woman like her?

Kaguya: how is she still your wife?

Oberon: …

High pixie: *sighs* it's for a multitude of reasons. A reason she believes is because her people needs more then a single queen they also need a king. So she continues to push down her resentment towards him for her people

Kaguya: wow that's both sad and brave

High pixie: sometimes you must put your own feelings aside for your people

Oberon: ok can we no talk about me like I'm some bad guy? I'm not evil

Cybele: no but you're still unfaithful

Oberon: …..*whispers* master a little help here?

Yu: ohhhh no that's all you

Oberon: *sighs*

Titania soon finished her dance by spinning around causing a small tornado of leaves around her. She then blows all the leaves way making a leafy explosion. Yu couldn't help but applaud feeling grateful for what he just witnessed

Yu: wow that was amazing titania

Titania floats down to her master's level and bows/ curtis to show thanks

Titania: you are to kind master *sighs* this was something I never thought I'd get to do again

Yu: what sing and dance?

Titania: be around untouched nature

Yu: ….oh I guess that makes sense

Titania: oh don't mistake me master I don't hate all humans I do rather disagree with some of there decisions but I can say the same about some of my people…..one in particular

Oberon: …..

Titania: but I also love humans to for my own reasons at least

Yu: you do? *sighs* if only they herd that

Titania: they? Master?

Yu: *sighs* cao cao and the others

Titania: oh *sighs* I doubt my opinion would matter that much to them they made there choice we made ours

Yu: yea that's true *sighs* I just sometimes wonder if im doing the right thing I mean I..

Titania: master if I may please don't doubt yourself you have no reason to. I've seen many things being a queen that I am many great but also many horrid and I must say I've not seen anyone quite like you master. You've made such an impact on everything and everyone around you…including me

Yu: really?

Titania: yes master so please don't doubt yourself again you don't need to

Yu: *chuckles* alright I won't

Both Yu and Titania laughed with each other for a little while longer until rias appeared and told them they are about to leave soon. When Yu got back home he did his homework and went to bed

The next day after school everyone was in the club room just hanging out waiting for issei and Asia to come. Yu decided to summon nekomata so she can hang out with Koneko which she seems to be enjoying. After awhile they finally showed up

Issei: hey we're here you said you wanted to talk to us about something?

Rias: yes I was thinking that maybe its time you to get familiars

Issei: whoa really!?

Asia: wait I thought only Devils can have familiars

Rias: yes that's true but so can humans you know like witches, wizards, even magicians basically non normal humans can have familiars so I think the creatures of the familiar forest will make an exception for you to given how powerful your sacred gears are

Yu: huh interesting

Rias: is it? Well I'm fairly seatrain you don't need one given how many powerful creatures you have at your disposal

Nekomata: hmph I'm sure what ever is in that forest is not worthy of serving my master

She said while laying her head on konekos lap

Rias: well familiars aren't really used for fighting in most cases they're mostly used for companionship

Akeno: yea but it is based on how creatively you use your familiar like mine for example

She waves her hand at the floor and a summoning spell appeared and from it came a small green creature with triangle eyes

Asia: awwww its so cute

Akeno: *chuckles* isn't it? This little fella is an imp you see he can multiply into a certain number at will comes in handy from time to time

Issei: wow that's pretty cool

Koneko then summons her familiar that was a small white cat with a collared bell

Koneko: this is shiro I usually keep her as a companion

Kiba: mines pretty cool

Issei: psst I don't care about your tiny dancer

Kiba: *chuckles* why you gotta hate man?

Rias: *chuckles* don't worry issei soon you and Asia will get one of your own

Issei: alright awesome so where and when can we get going oh but wait

Issei looks over to yu

Issei: you probably don't need to go with us do you senpai?

Asia: huh wait…so….you won't come with us?

Asia looked like she was about to cry

Yu: no I think I'll go I'm kinda curious on what in that forest but also what you're gonna get

Asia: *gasp* really?

Issei: alright awesome

Rias: *chuckles* well aren't you eager

Then they suddenly hear a knock from the door

Akeno: yea!?

Who ever opened the door must've considered that to be the ok to come in for some reason. When the door fully opened everyone can see a group of people come in. The one in the front yu recognized as the student council president of the school Sona Shitori she tried to recruit him for some something before he managed to save issei from raynere.

Sona: sorry to interrupt

Issei: huh? what the heck is she doing here?

Asia: walks over to yu and issei to whisper to them

Asia: *whispers* issei yu-senpai who are they?

Yu: I don't really know much about the others but I know that the one in the middle is Sona Shitori the student council president

Issei: yes that's right and the girl with the glasses right next to her is Tsubaki Shinra looks like she brought the council with her

Rias: hello sona what can I do for you?

Sona: nothing I just wanted to congratulate you and see how your new additions are doing

She then looks over at yu

Sona: hello again yu narukami I see that you were not only successful with your first rescue but you managed to save someone else also

Yu: greetings Shitori-san and yes but not alone issei helped in saving Asia

Sona got a a little wide eyed hearing that

Sona: oh really?

Issei: yea that's right I did…wait you two already knew each other?

Yu: yep

Sona: Mmhm I tried to recruit him a few days before he rescued you I offered to help but I can see that he didn't need any

Issei: wait she offered to you? Why didn't you take it?

Yu: for the same reason why we declined rias's offer

Issei: ….huh? …..wait are you telling me she's-

Sona: yep I'm a devil just like rias and so is everyone else here

Everyone behind her nods to confirm what she said. Asia for some reason decided to hide behind yu and issei

Issei: whoa so this time while I was at school-

Sona: that's right me and my entire peerage although I am kind of impressed you figured out my true nature narukami

Yu: well not at first it was just a theory but I did started putting the pieces together a while back

Sona: *chuckles* I must say I'm rather impressed you seem to be extraordinary for a human

Yu: I appreciate the complaint it means a lot especially from someone whose next head of the house of sitri

Everyone including sonas peerage looks at yu surprised. Except for Rias Akeno and Sona who she in particular just chuckles a little

Sona: *chuckles* so you have also figured out my real name

Yu: like I said just a theory until proven correct by today

Sona: hm hm I say again impressive

A blonde next to sona walks forward and starts to speak

Arrogant blonde male: *sighs* ok this is ridiculous you're seriously calling a human like him impressive?

Issei: huh? Hey what's your deal?!

Sona: *sighs* saji I am telling you this for your own good stand down

The boy now named saji looks at sona confused

Saji: psst why should I it's not like he can do anything to a devil like me took up 4 pieces

Rias: 4 prices huh? Then that makes you sonas pawn I assume?

Saji: yes that's right

Saji then arrogantly looks over at yu sizeing him up and walks right up to him

Saji: you know the other say how a week human like you managed to scare off sitri-senpai and and fight off four fallen Angel's twice well you know what I think?

Yu just looks at him staying silent

Saji: well I think its just a load of bullshit and you know what? I'm gonna prove it right now

Sona: saji…..

Saji pulls his fist back ready to punch yu in the face

Saji: EAT THIS WEAKLING!

Issei: SENPAI!

Asia: yu-senpai!

Issei was about to stand in front of yu to protect him but before he could someone else already did. Moving at very fast speeds Nekomata hoped off konekos lap and moved really fast in front of her master and blocked/stops sajis first with her palm. She could feel it was a strong punch if it had reached yu he would have knocked yu to the floor with a broken jaw. When some of the dust cleared everyone can see a neko girl in front of Yu with sajis fist in her hand

Saji: w-w-what? Who…where did-

Nekomata: not a chance devil

She then quickly grabs his wrist and flings him into the ceiling hard. Part of it cracked and chipped away by the impact and saji coughed out a little blood. After a few seconds saji fell back down flat on his face. She the grabs saji by the neck and lifts him up high

Nekomata: listen here you pathetic Hell spawn I don't care who you are or how strong you clearly think you are you don't talk to my master like you're his superior Hell you aren't even his equal. And you dare to threaten him by striking him with such a weak punch you deserve punishment

She holds up her hand making a fire ball appear

Nekomata: how about I burn off a few inches off you're head maybe your eyebrows to

Saji: w-wait *cough* p-please don't

Nekomata looks at saji with vengeance in her eyes

Nekomata: sorry im not feeling very merciful today

And just as she was about to do her thing sona speaks up

Sona: Mr narukami I ask that you please tell your neko to stand down I understand that he has not only disrespected you but he also threatened you and I will deal with him myself so please if you may

Yu took a second to think about it but then made his decision

Yu: its ok stand down nekomata

She looks at you surprised

Nekomata: b-b-but master…

Yu: its ok she said she'll handle him

Nekomata looks at saji a little bit but then drops him leaving him coughing on the floor

Nekomata: yes master

She then crawls next to Yu to receive pets from him

Yu: good kitty

She purrs

Sona: *sighs* like I said saji you should have listened to me your just lucky narukami-kun was willing let that little stunt slide

Saji: *coughs* sorry

Yu: oh uhhhhh sorry about ceiling….again

Rias: oh don't worry like I said its an easy fix plus seeing you handle that young arrogant Devil was honestly entertaining

Sona: *chuckles* I know and here I thought he finally ready to gain his familiar

Rias: oh your about to go find a familiar I was just about to the same

Sona: hm? Oh I see well that's a bit of a problem for us the forest guide only takes people once a month

Rias: *chuckles* well then in that case how about a little friendly competition to sort this whole thing out?

Sona: oh? A competition?

Rias: whoever wins has the right to make there request first

Sona: surely you're not talking about a raiding game

Rias: *chuckles* oh no we'd never get permission to do something like that

Sona: yes you're right besides this isn't exactly the time to cause attention to yourself now is it?

Rias: …sona don't go there

Akeno looks at rias a little worried

Rias: hmm I know why don't we settle this with a good old fashion game of tennis

Sona: *chuckles* sounds good to me

And so everyone went to the tennis court yard to see the match. And by everyone like literally EVERYONE came pretty much the whole school came to see both all four of the most popular girls in school play. Issei was…well being issei along with a lot of other guys there. I'm pretty sure the girls were just cheering on who they thought would be there friend. Koneko decided to sit on a little hill with nekomata. Yu was next to kiba watch a little bit of the game….aaannd how they pretty much resorted to using magic which seems pretty reckless given how many humans are watching but they seem pretty confident it won't mean anything

Kiba: huh well this is certainly gonna get interesting

Yu: yea so its seems well I needed to talk to you anyway

Kiba: huh? About what?

Yu: let's go somewhere more secluded

Kiba: …..uhhhhh ok?

Yu led kiba to an open field far away from all the action at the tennis yard

Kiba: ok you got me out here what did you want to talk about?

Yu: a few days ago you asked me about the power of the world

Kiba: ….yea and?

Yu: I noticed that you looked disappointed when I mentioned that there are somethings I can't change

Kiba: ….

Yu: almost like there's something you want me to change

Kiba: …narukami…..if you know what's good for you I'd advice you to stop right now

Yu: *sighs* look i'm gonna push you into telling me what it is I can make guesses and theory's but that's all they are

Kiba: …ok…..so why come to me with all this?

Yu: …I want you to know that….when you're ready to tell me ill be there if its something that needs to be changed ill consider it or if you need me to help you deal through it ill do it

Kiba had a look of both shock and disbelief on his face

Kiba: …why…why would you do all that…..for me? I'm a devil you're a human its…its….

Yu: did you not learn anything from what I had to go through with asia? She thought she couldn't have real friends because of some bullshit rules by the church yet here I am. I mean I literally fought a group of strong humans who wanted nothing more than your destruction just cause I defended you did you forget that?

Kiba looks down a little sad

Kiba: …..no

Yu: Then trust when I say I'm with you and you wanna know why?

Kiba: ….

Yu: because that's what real friends do they do things for each other

Kiba: ….friends…

He then looks up at yu

Kiba: ok narukami I understand and I trust you

Yu: do you?

Kiba: yes I do

Yu: good now speaking of friends doing things for each other I need your help

Kiba: …with what?

Yu: being a knight you happen to know a lot about sword play right?

Kiba: yeea why?

Yu: good I need you to teach me a few things

Kiba: huh? You sword fighting?

Yu: yes you see those couple of day made me realize I need to get better at sword fighting and I figured I'd have a better chance being taught by someone who knows more about it than me

Kiba: uhhh ok just tell me when and where

Yu: ok good now-

Both Kiba and yu used the rest of the time discussing when and where they'll do training.

After a long while the tennis game somehow ended in a draw so they decided that they will play another game called dodge ball. The next night everyone got ready to play Sona was questioning if issei and Asia should play but rias was persistent and managed to let them to join. Issei the night before decided the night before to make head bands for everyone well everyone except Yu since he doesn't really need one so he's just gonna sit back and watch.

Yu: huh I gotta say these are pretty impressive issei

Kiba: yea nice

Issei: *chuckles nervously* its nothing really its just to thanks for doing for us even though we're not Devils you know

Asia: yes thank you so much we really appreciate it

Kiba looks over at Yu remembering what he said to him

Kiba: …this…..this means a lot issei thank you

Issei: huh? Oh uhhhhh *chuckles* like I said its nothing plus i'm really bad at sports this way I won't throw the ball at my own team

Rias: *chuckles* well this is very appreciated you to It does mean a lot

After a few seconds Sona and her time finally arrive at the gym

Sona: hmph so you ready to rock and roll?

Rias: *chuckles* lets play

The whistle blew and the game started. A blue haired girl on sonas team quickly threw her ball at Koneko. She tried to dodge as best as she could but she ended up getting hit on the tit leaving her out of the game. Tsubaki then tries to get rias but throwing a magic infused ball at her. Luckily rias was able to catch it taking Tsubaki out of the game.

Sona: hmph you managed to catch Tsubakis spike head on pretty impressive

Rias: *chuckles* don't forget Sona i'm a Gremoery that just how we roll!

She throws her ball through a spell symbol she made infusing it with her power of destruction. The ball then quickly heads towards a girl with light burnet hair. She holds her hands up waiting to catch it. Pointless. As soon as it reaches her her whole body is lit on fire burning away her clothes. Issei of course got distracted by the naked girl didn't another girl from sonas team about to strike him

Akeno: ISSEI LOOK OUT!

Thankfully Akeno managed to catch the ball before it hit issei taking another girl out of the game

Akeno: phew got it you need to keep your head in the game sweetie

Issei: r-r-right sorry won't happen again *inner speech* yea it can't I won't let everything they've done for me be in vain

The game then continued to be….. uhhhhh… a lot more chaotic. Spells and blasts were firing everywhere it was like a full on magical warzone.

Yu: …uhhhh should we stop this?

Lucifer: no! I want to see how this finish

Yu: *sighs* ok

Saji: senpai let me take care of that sissy little pervert

Sona: no I'll handle him. HERE COMES THE PAIN!

Sona hurls another magically infused straight at issei

Rias: ISSIE MOVE!

Issei: huh? AHHHHH

Issei somehow managed to dodge the ball barely flying past his head.

Issei: *pant* whoa that could have freaking killed me!

Rias: ISSIE KEEP RUNNING ITS COMEING BACK!

Issei: what? AHHHHHHH

Just as rias said the did come back around for issei. He ran as he could for dear life trying to lose the incoming ball

Asia: what? How can this be fair he can't get away from it!

Rias: what a cheap trick sona

Sona: *chuckles* all's fair in love and war

Rias: grrrr ISSIE JUST HOLD ON WERE COMING!

But there was no point the ball was flying towards him way to fast they'll Never make it

Issei: *inner speech* danm it there's nothing I can do at this point I'm gonna get struck out soon *sighs* leave it to me to screw things up AGAIN ever since that day everyone pretty much had to keep saving my ass yu, rias, even Akeno a few seconds ago. I can't do anything i…

And just when he was about to give up he here's yu's voice in his head encouraging him

Past Yu: I've been here long enough to know you issei. I've seen how brave, selfless, and careing you can be to those around you and turn it into your strength

Issei: *inner speech* yu-senpai…hmph that's right I'm more then just some human

Issei then stops turns around and faces the ball heading towards him

Rias: wha….ISSEI WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?

Zougogen: master I can help just say…

Yu: no don't

Zougogen: m-master?

Yu: just watch

Issei then lifts his head up and summons his boosted gear and holds it towards the incoming ball

Issei: *breathes* this time I save my self everyone else

The ball came at him fast it hit isseis gauntlet like a small meteor. Heavy winds blow all over the place from issei trying to stop the ball

Koneko: he needs help!

Yu stops her

Koneko: wha? Senpai what are you-

Yu: just give him a chance

Koneko reluctantly stepped back

Issei: grrrr danm this is….really hard…..but I'm not giving up not today!

The ball grew brighter and brighter until it became blinding

Issei: grrrrrr…aaaaahhhhHHHHHHHH

An explosion of light and wind eruptions from where issei stood. When then light dimmed they can see that issie was in a broken area of the gym's stage battered and bruised

Rias and her friends: ISSIE!

Rias runs over to where issei is and sheds a little tear

Rias: oh issei please don't do this please please show me a sign your ok

The rubble around issies left arm start to move. He lifts his hand up to show that that ball sona threw was still in his hand

Everyone except for yu looked at what they're seeing with wide eyes yu however smirks and nods basically saying he knew he could do it

Rias: …issei you….you caught it

Sona: h-he caught it!?

Rias: HE CAUGHT IT!

Rias and her friends/peerage cheered and congratulated issei for his amazing catch basically taking sona out of the game

Sona: grrrrrr danm it

Saji: ….uhhh….w-w-we can still win

Rias smirks mischievously

Rias: oh you think so do you?

Its was pretty much an easy win after sona and Tsubaki were taken out of the equation

Asia: yes! We won

Yu: *chuckles* yes you did

Kiba: and it was all thanks to issei here

Issei: *chuckles nervously* oh come on it was nothing

Sona: it was most certainly wasn't nothing issei Hyoudou. You a human somehow managed to not only stop my strike but to ultimately catch it. Even though you used your sacred gear it should have been near impossible

Yu: hmph that's the power of the human heart

Sona looks at yu confused

Sona: the….human heart?

Yu: that's right if I've learned anything about last year is that the human heart can give us the power to achieve the impossible like what issei just did

Issei: …senpai….

Sona: hmmmm I see….well a deal's a deal rias you beet us so you get first pick of the familiars

Rias: *chuckles* thanks sona but you have to admit this was a lot of fun

Sona: *chuckles* yes it was although if this was a raiding game and not just us fooling around you definitely would have lost

Rias: oh you really think so? Well I guess there's no way of knowing for sure until we actually play the game but oh well it'll be awhile so there's no need to worry about that

Sona: so it seems well I have to go hope the trip will be worth you two
