CHAPTER 21 THE PATH TO THE SWORD
Everyone made it to the club meeting on time and everyone mainly the devils were talking about how many contracts they got.
Rias: well then let's begin our regular meeting. this month's contract numbers are in, Akeno has eleven,
Akeno: that's right
Rias: Koneko has ten
Koneko: Mhm sounds good
Rias: and Kiba has eight
Kiba: yep, I did
Rias: good job everyone I'm very impressed
Kiba, Akeno, and Koneko: thank you miss president
Pixie: uggh if this was all they were going to talk about then why are we here master?
Oh, yea pixie was complaining on how she hasn't been summoned in a while so Yu just decided to let her hang out for a while
Yu: *sighs* because despite rias and the others being devils to were part of this club to, we have to commit
pixie: uggh but all their gonna talk about is their lame contracts
Rias: *scoffs* lame!?
Yu: pixie come on be nice
Pixie: tch I thought I was
Issei: dude what's up with your little pet fairy?
Pixie looks at issei angerly
Pixie: WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST CALL YOU JERK!?
Yu looks at issei shaking his head mouthing NO... but issei apparently didn't get the message
Issei: uhhhh a pet?
Yu: ohhh boy
Issei: what?
Pixie was shaking ferociously and waved her hands towards issei casting a spell
Pixie: ZIO!
A second later a small stream of lightning came through the roof of his room and struck issei completely shocking him. now see here's the thing zio maybe a weak lightning spell but see lightning is still lightning especially when it comes to weaker beings who have a low innate defense like issei
Issei: AHHHZZZZZZZZ!
Pixie: call me pet again and ill really make it hurt
Issei: ZZZ ZZZZ owwww
Koneko for a second stares at issei
Pixie: ...what?
Koneko: I really like you now
Pixie: oh well thanks
after everyone in the room decided to not try and piss pixie off especially issei since he was still twitching after being struck by literal lightning. after a minute or two isseis mother came in asking if everyone was alright because she thought she herd lightning. oh, yea don't worry she can't see pixie, anyway everyone said they were ok issei said it with more fear in his eyes looking at pixie. isseis mom then offered some snacks and an opportunity to see isseis baby pictures which everyone quickly said yes to *chuckles* much to isseis embarrassment
Akeno: *giggles* wow he's completely naked *inner speech* not that haven't seen him naked just a few minutes ago hmhmhmhm
Rias: awww hes so small and adorable
Koneko: the bare-naked truth about isseis tiny past
Pixie: more like tiny dick that dose grow eventually, right?
Everyone quietly chuckles at that jab Akeno more so knowing the answer
Isseis mother: this picture was from kindergarten, and all hes done since then is chase around after girls and their bottoms
Issei hung his head low despair and embarrassment
Yu: huh so you were basically born to be a perve
issei: HEY! senpai! not cool!
Yu: *chuckles* sorry couldn't resist
Issei: *groans* grrrrrr someone kill me
Pixie perks up hearing that
Pixie: I can try if you want
Then you look at her sternly
Yu: *inner speech* pixie!
She then recoils and bows her head
Pixie: ... sorry master I'll be quiet now
Yu: good
Issei: thanks, but I actually kind of want her to do it
Yu then keels down next to issei and pats him on the back
Yu: hey come on its not that bad
Rias: *gasp* oh look it's a tiny, itty, witty, bitty issei
Asia: *giggles* I totally agree Rias tiny, itty, bitty and cute
Rias: *giggles* I know right; hes just ridiculous it's too much
And the two continue to laugh and giggle while issei just looks at Yu dead in the eye
issei: ...really... not that bad?
Yu: w-well at least I'm not looking
Issei: *sighs* yea pretty much the only one
Issei then looks over to Kiba right next to him hold a similar book
Kiba: oh, come on this was my one and only chance to what younger you looked like besides your mother seems great to me
Issei: grrrr like you'd know!
Yu: issei!
Yu elbowed issei in the gut hard
Issei: owww! what the hell senpai!?
Yu: actually, think before you say something
Issei: what? what are you talking about?
Kiba: its ok Yu he didn't know thank you Tho
Issei: huh? didn't know what?
Yu: *sighs* issei...

That's when Kiba turned the page and his expression darkened defiantly noticed by Yu
Kiba: hey issei this picture
Issei: huh? what picture?
Both Yu and issei got up to look at the picture of younger issei and an orange haired kid sitting Infront of a sheathed sword on display playing video games with each other. there was this weird seal or symbol behind the sword, but they couldn't see it clearly
Yu: huh I could tell that brown haired kid is you issei but who's the other one?
Issei: oh, I don't exactly remember but he used to live right down the street from me, we use to play together a lot, but they had to move once one of his parents got a job overseas
Yu: ...huh...well that sounds familiar
Issei: huh? what do you mean Yu senpai?
Yu: *sighs* growing up me and my parents had to move a lot mainly because of their job that's kind of the reason why i never had any real friends till I went to Inaba
Issei: ...senpai...
Yu: eh don't worry about it I'm over it now
Issei: you sure?
Kiba: Cause there are just some things you cant "get over"
There were some angers behind those especially the "get over" part
Yu: huh? what do you mean?
Kiba: ...never mind that hey issei do you remember this sword?
Issei: huh? oh Naw man not really, I mean I was five
A smirk then appeared on kibas face... but I doubt there's any real joy behind it
Kiba: hmhmhm I see I guess anything's possible huh?
Both Yu and issei were looking at Kiba confused
Issei: uhhhh hey dude you, ok?
After a few seconds of not answering Kiba slammed the book shut and smiled towards his friend's
Kiba: of course, why wouldn't I be?
Yu: ...
Issei: uhhh ok sure thing dude
After that the club meeting was pretty much put to an end but not before Yu stopped Kiba asking him for more sword fighting lessons which Kiba accepted. they walked of to an area of the park where no one goes to
Yu: and you're sure we won't be disturbed here?
Kiba: well in a way but first
Kiba lifts his hand up in the air and the same illusionary barrier appeared around them only it made the sky look like apocalyptic red
Yu: oh, I see...but this is red? is it because you're a devil?
Kiba: most likely but were here for that
Kiba summoned his sword and got battle ready
Kiba: I'm here to see how far you've grown
With that Yu has a slight smile on his face and also gets his sword out standing battle ready.
Yu: Hehe alright time to show you what I've learned while on break
Kiba: Hehe please do,
He lifts his sword pointed at Yu
Kiba: here I come HAAAAAAAAHHHH!
Yu: RRRRAAAAAAAHHHH!
They both charge at each other with surprising speed. and with a thundering clash their swords collided stating their sparing session
Meanwhile with issei he was for some reason asked to fill in for Koneko on a contract. Yea even he asked why him he was human not a devil, but Rias insisted and there wasn't much arguing with what she wanted. So issei just sucked it up and went on his way on his bike
Issei: *sighs* I really don't get why I'm the one doing this I'm not even a devil, and to add insult to injurie all Yu-senpai gets to do is play with swords with Kiba *groans* so unfair
After a few seconds of riding his bike angerly he calmed down thinking about something else
Issei: huh Kiba...
Memory Kiba: Cause there are just some things you cant "get over"
Issei: hmmm I wonder what got Kiba so upset I can pretty much tell it was about that sword in the picture but i know there's more to it...*sighs* it's no use I might have to ask rias about this later but for now looks like this is the address
Issei stops at what looks to be a grand apartment complex made for VERY rich people
Issei: huh well ok then
After staring at the building longer than he should he made his way up to the room number and rung the bell
Issei: *sighs* I don't even know what I'm going to do... *sighs* well ill just have to make it up as i go along
After a minute of waiting a...rugged yet fairly handsome man with a noticeable goatee opened the door, he had long black hair with the exception of gold blond only on the front, he had dark purple looking eyes and wore a grey silk robe
Issei: hey what's up, now let me fill you in on something first obviously I'm human not a devil I'm just filling in for a friend
Handsome man: *chuckles* well you might as well still come in then
Issei: huh?
Handsome man: if your only filling in for a friend that still make me the clint right?
Issei: huh yea i guess so, alright then let do this
And the handsome man invited issei in to fulfill the contract.
Meanwhile back at the park Yu and Kiba were still deep in there sparing lesson. there were burn marks and sword marks all over the place now. and if anyone there had good ears, they could still hear two young boys shouting and grunting along with numerus sword clashes.
Kiba: HAAAA!
Kiba lunges at Yu with a downward strike but Yu blocks it and deflects it away, Kiba tries to strike at Yu again with an upward slash, but again Yu blocks the attack and deflects it, Kiba then jumps back a few feet away and quickly charges at Yu with a stabbing strike, but yet again Yu manages to block it only this time he was pushed back quit a distance. once he stopped, he keeled on one knee breathing heavily
Yu: GAAAA! *pant* *pant* ...shit
Kiba: *pant* danm...you've definitely gotten better...*pant* but...
Yu: *sighs* yea yea I know you still got me *coughs* but if I had Izanagi with me it would have been already over
Kiba: yea it would have but we're here to strengthen your skill alone
Yu: *sighs* yeaaaa that's true *sighs*
Kiba: ...Yu what is it?
Yu: ...what's what?
Kiba: what is it you want to tell me?
Yu: ...huh? how do-
Kiba: one of the ability's we have as devils is being able to read minds in a way and i can hear your thoughts wanting to ask me something so go ahead just ask
Yu: ...alright me and issei noticed how angry you looked when you looked at that sword in that picture
Kiba: ...
Yu: what is it Kiba I know it's more than some decoration on a wall you proven that to be a fact
Kiba: ...Yu...its...
Yu: and don't you dare say it doesn't concern me or its none of my business cause do I really have to remind you what having a friend feels like?
Kiba: ...

Yu: so, tell me I told you I'm your friend Kiba and friends are meant to be relied on someone you can trust to share everything with your thoughts, your feelings, your pain, your problems especially your problems trust me I know
Kiba: ...
Yu: so please no more hiding no more brushing me off so go Ahed now it's your turn to tell me what's wrong
Kiba: ...a holy sword...
Yu: what?
Kiba: that's what that sword was a holy sword an utter bane of my existence
Yu: the bane of your existence? why?
Kiba: ...
Yu: Kiba...
Kiba: look Yu I understand that you want to help me and trust me I'm really tankful and appreciate it...but there just some things that I'm not ready to share yet and it's not because I don't trust you...i just...
Yu: ...ok
Kiba: what?
Yu: its ok I understand you don't have to tell me everything right away, when your fully ready I'll be there to listen, always
Kiba: ...Yu...
Kiba smiles
Kiba: thank you..ill...I'll try to remember that I promise
Yu also smiles
Yu: good
Kiba: *sighs heavily* now before all that happened i think i was in the middle of kicking your ass
Yu: oh, ohoh ok sure we'll see devil boy
Kiba: *laughs*
Yu: *laughs*
And they both got battle ready again and continued sparing. after a couple of minutes Kiba got a call from rias saying there's some stray devil activity and she's needs everyone there. and so, Yu and Kiba got to the location as fast as they could meeting up with everyone...well except for issei who ran a little late
Issei: *pant* *pant* sorry... sorry I'm late
Yu: dude where were you?
Issei: sorry i had to ride all the way over here on my bike carrying that on my back
Issei points to the big flat square possibly a painting that's attached to his bike
Yu: uhhh why do you have a...you know what never mind another time. rias you said there was a stray devil here?
Rias: yes, we've been told that it's been a big problem for a while now so that's why we're here to finally get rid of it
Koneko: ...hmmmm
Rias: huh? what's wrong Koneko?
Koneko: hmmmm I'm not sure...but I think I'm smelling multiple rouge devils
Yu: wait you mean there's more than one it there?
Koneko: hmmmmm I don't know...sorry I thought I was smelling more but I keep Sensenig the same one
Rias: hmmm well multiple or not we can handle it
Issei: soo are me and senpai just going to stand back watch?
Rias: oh no you two are going in with Koneko and Kiba
Issei: huh? we are?
Rias: me. Asia and Akeno are going to stay out here to make sure there really are no surprises waiting for us
Yu: hm sounds like a good plan right Kiba?
Kiba: ...
rias: hm? Kiba?
Kiba: ...huh? oh uhh yes...right..
issei: hey man you alright?
Kiba: yes I'm fine I'm ready
Everyone especially rias could tell something was up but none of them decided to speak about it
Rias: ...well ok just pleas be careful you all
Yu: don't worry we all can handle it
Issei: hell, yea we can! let's do this! BOOSTED GEAR!
Isseis boosted gear appears in his hand
Yu: PERSONA!
Yu summons his persona Izanagi
They all walk into the warehouse very carefully looking around for the rogue devil. so far it's been really silent and seems to have popped up yet
Issei: hey so what do you guys have an idea what this might be? its probably another crazy ass monster huh?
Koneko: its defiantly something nasty I can smell its wrecked stench all over this place
Yu: and rias did say it's been a major problem for a good while now so its defiantly going to be dangerous
Issei: Hehe well I can already tell its not going to be a match for you and the big guy right Kiba?
Kiba: ...
Issei: hey! Kiba!
Kiba: ...what? oh uhh yea sure
Issei: dude what's up with you today? first it was the meeting and now here, what's going on?
Kiba: ...I...
Koneko: hey! quiet you two!
She looks over to a dark corner where they can all see a shadowed figure
Koneko: its here
The shadowed figure steps a little into the light revealing herself to be an adorable and really girl
Issei: ... whoa she's so cute uhhh are you sure this is right place cause I-
Koneko raises her hand silencing him
Koneko: wait for it
And like a strike of a match the little girls adorable face turned into something ugly and demonic. It then steps out of the shadows to reveal more of herself looking like some giant nude Arachne looking creature
Koneko: hm there you are
The Arachne: ahhhh what's this? some fresh new feed for my children? hehehe
Yu: uhhhhh did that thing just say children?
Koneko: hm of course, i should have known
They all now start to hear some sort of crinkling and cracking sound
Koneko: that's why I was smelling multiple devils
They all now see descending from multiple parts of the ceiling smaller versions of the same Arachne
Koneko: that things a mother
The Arachne: yes yes come my daughters its dinner time!
Issei: Hehe sorry spider lady but I'm afraid we're not on the menu but ill give you something just as good. a dragon boosted knuckle sandwich!
The Arachne: *roars angerly* GET THEM!
Yu: here they come! lets go!
(PERSONA 4 OST-MAKE HISTORY)
Yu: IZANAGI!
At his masters command he quickly flies forward an slices two lesser Arachne with one slash. another one tries to come at him from behind but Izanagi quickly turns around and slices that one in half as well. And just for the hell of it he kicks the nearest one as hard as he could towards another one and they both get impaled by a broken beam dying instantly
Issei: holy shit that guys insanely awesome
While admiring how awesome Izanagi is he can see three more lesser Arachne trying to get him from behind
Issei: whoa hey look out! DRAGON SHOT!
Issei punches the same red ball of energy towards the three Arachne exploding on contact killing them all instantly
Issei: yea got em
Yu: way to go issei
Koneko meanwhile keeps one shoting all the lesser Arachne that comes her way
Koneko: uggghh there's so many of them
Yu struggles holding back an Arachne of his own
Yu: grrr well... she is... half spider!
He then slices up chopping its arm off then swiftly cut its head off
Yu: so, it's no surprise that it has this many
Issei: yahh! what is surprising Tho is princess over zoning out over there!
Indeed, Kiba was just standing there doing nothing
Issei: hey! wake up man!
Kiba: ...huh? what?
Issei: get your head in the game were still fighting here!
Kiba: o-oh right sorry HIYAA!
He then manages to instantly slices multiple Arachne to shreds
The Arachne: RRRRAAAA MY CHILDREN RRRRRR YOU LITTLE SHITS ILL-
She goes to lunge at Kiba but Koneko kicks her hard in the face sending her flying across the building
Kiba: *sighs* thanks for the save
Koneko: I shouldn't have to save you if would just stay focus
Kiba: ...r-right...
Issei: RRAA! danm it! there's way to freaken many of them
Yu: don't worry I've got it covered IZANAGI!
Izanagi holds his hand out and shouts one word
Izanagi: MAZIODYNE!
From outside rias, Akeno, and Asia can see a big thunder cloud appear above the Wearhouse causing multiple heavy lightning strikes within the warehouse comply frying all the lesser Arachne killing them all
issei: ...holy...wow that's some serious badassery senpai
Yu: thanks
The main Arachne looked at the burned bodies of her children full of hatred
The Arachne: RRRRRAAAAAA! ILL MAKE YOU ALL PAY FOR THIS!
She then tries to lung at Kiba again who is again just standing there
Issei: oh shit KIBA!
Kiba: ...huh? AHHH!
At the last second, Koneko catches her by the leg holder her back
Koneko: *grunts* it's time to go
She then throughs the Arachne high through the ceiling
Rias: *chuckles* Akeno
Akeno: I'm all over its rias *giggles* you're not the only one who can use lightning narukami
She then uses a lightning spell on the Arachne heavily frying it and bringing it back down to the ground. rias then slowly walk over to the burned Arachne
Rias: wanton devil you who ran wild away from your master to fulfill your own desires. And for such a crime you deserve to die a thousand times over.
She holds her destruction infused hands out towards the Arachne
Rias: and now in the name of the marquis of Gremory. you shall pay with you life!
The Arachne completely disintegrates by the power of destruction, talk about kill stealing all she did was wait out side
(END MIUSIC)
Issei: HAHA hell yea!
Akeno: that poor creature's heart was completely lost at that point it musts have been very desperate to have children of her own that she was willing to murder for them. you could barley call her a devil anymore
Issei: *shivers* that is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy,
Yu: yea you got that right
Asia: is everyone alright? are you hurt?
Issei: nah I think were all fine here
Koneko: humph no thanks to pretty boy who just kept freezing
Then they all hear a hard slap, they look over to see Kiba just got slapped by rias
Rias: think you've got it together now? with a mistake like that you put everyone here in serious danger
Kiba: ...i know...im sorry
He then looks over to the rest of the group
Kiba: especially to you all Yu, issei, and definitely Koneko...I'm sorry that I not only slowed you all down but i had to get rescued twice when I shouldn't have needed rescuing
Yu: ...
Issei: ...dude...
Koneko: ...*sighs* its-
Kiba: don't you dare say its ok...cause its not...I failed...I failed everyone here...just like...
Everyone: ...?
Rias: ...oh Kiba please tell me what's the matter? this isn't like you
Kiba: ...I'm...I'm ok just having an off day
Kiba then starts to walk away but before he dose he turns to everyone and bows
Kiba: Again I apologies to everyone here for happened here now if you all will excuse me
He now walks away
Rias: wha...hey Kiba-
Yu puts a hand on her shoulder stopping her
Yu: don't let him go, I don't know what but there's defiantly something on his mind let's give him some space
Issei: are you sure senpai I mean I don't feel ok with leavening him alone like this
Yu: yes, I'm sure
Rias looks down still looking worried
Kiba walks off into the night filled with heavy rain and deep thoughts plaguing his mind
Memory Yu: "so, tell me I told you I'm your friend Kiba and friends are meant to be relied on someone you can trust to share everything with your thoughts, your feelings, your pain, your problems especially your problems trust me I know"
Kiba: ...*sighs* friends...if only it were that simple, Yu, issei, rias, everyone...I can't...I just...they shouldn't be involved in my true goal, my true quest for vengeance, vengeance...for everything they've done, that is a promise I'm willing to keep no matter what it takes...*sighs* and besides it wouldn't be right for someone like me to have friend's like them, someone whose sole purpose is for revenge, I don't deserve that
Then from behind a building a man who looked was priest like robes came stumbling out
male priest: ...help me...*choughs*...please
the male coughs up some blood and starts to fall forward...dead
Kiba: huh? a priest?...and why was he-
mysterious sinister voice: ugggghhh enough with your annoying ass babbling "oh poor me I'm so emo" "I'm soooo lonely and such a sad loser" like just shut the fuck up already all you shitty ass devils are so infuriating!
Kiba immediately summons his sword and got ready
Kiba: what the...who's there!? who ever you are stop hiding like a coward and come out!
Mysterious sinister voice: ohhh come oooooonnn now don't tell me you don't know who i am
Another man comes out from where the priest came
Mystery guy: after all your friends with the ones who unfairly beat me!
Kiba looks at the man with confusion at first...but then it turns to realization
Kiba: ...you...your him
Mystery guy: *laughs maniacally* yes that's right nice finally meet you, it Tiss I FREED SELLZEN
