Hey everyone, it's been...a long while hasn't it? yeaaaa I'm really sorry about that lately I've been dealing with a lot of depression and severe writers block and let me tell you writers block is a real bitch to have when you're trying to make something. But I've been feeling a little better now at least better enough to finally write this chapter down and there will be more coming up just might be a little later than usual sorry, and i hope your all having a good winter so far.
CHAPTER 23 AN UNLIKELY REUION
Yu was walking through the halls thinking to himself about Kiba
Yu: *sighs* danm it Kiba why can't you just let me, and the others help you? do you really not trust us that much? *sighs* well wherever you are I hope you're ok
Yu continues to walk down the halls pondering his thoughts in silence. issei however was chatting with his friends planning to go somewhere fun. after a minute Issei notices Yu walking near them...look pretty down
Issei: HEY! Yu-senpai! over here!
Yu: huh? oh hey issei
Motohama: ugghh dude why did you bring him over?
Issei: because he a really good friend "dude"
Matsuda: man, we don't need this women stealer jackeen our fun
He looks over to Yu
Matsuda: hey! what are you still doing here! get lost already!
Yu: uhhh ok I'll go
But before he walks off issei grabs him by the arm making him stay
Issei: hold on wait senpai
Issei now looks to his friend's angry
Issei: hey! what the hell's wrong with you guys!? i already told you to cut that shit out!
Both Yu and isseis friend's looks at him surprised by the outburst
Yu: ...look issei its fine I can just-
Issei: no! it's not fine Yu! it's one thing to give you shit behind your back but right to your face?! hell no! I won't stand for that!
Motohama: ... dude what's your problem? isn't this the same guy that you really hated not long ago?
Yu: huh?
Issei: grrrrr *deep breath* look yes, a while ago I would have done the exact same thing you're doing. But I actually got to really know Yu-senpai a lot lately, not only is he really cool and badass, but he's turned out to be one of the best guys I know
Yu was really shocked and surprised to hear all that from issei and it makes him smile a little
Motohama and Matsuda: HEY!
Issei: what? I know danm well that's a fact and I'm not taken it back
Motohama and Matsuda: grrrrrrrr
Issei: look I'm not saying you should instantly be friends with him just don't be a total dick to him especially to his face
Motohama and Matsuda just stood their silent heads hung low
Issei: and if that's not going to change then you can count me out for karaoke ill just hang out with Yu and the others
Motohama and Matsuda looks up at issei shocked
Issei: yea I mean it
Yu is just sitting back and watching all this impressed
Motohama: grrrrrrrrr alright your friend you can come to
Issei: that's good to hear
Yu and issei both look over to see Asia signaling them both...yea even they don't exactly know why but that didn't stop their minds from wondering to lewd places
Issei: well, see you guys on Sunday me and senpais got to go
And both Yu and issei walk off towards Asia leaving very irritated Motohama and Matsuda behind
Yu: uhhh look issei you really didn't have to risk your friendship with them just to defend me
Issei: yes, I did senpai...look I like them both and they are fun to be around, but I just got tired of them saying constant shit about you especially when they don't really know you like I do. And yea I will admit I really would have done the same thing two if I didn't know you that well either but i have and I do so I had no excuse not to do something
Yu: ...issei...
Issei: and look they seemed to let you come along in the end, so it wasn't that risky at all
Yu: *chuckles* you really are something else aren't you
Issei: *chuckles* yea yea well your one to talk you aren't that different
Yu: hmmmmm yea that's true
Issei: uhhhh yea
Yu and issei: *laughs*
After their heartwarming bromance moment, they continue to walk over to Asia who can see her two boys looking happy together which really warms her heart. When the boys get to her, she tells her that Rias wants to see all of them she didn't say why but its needed. And so, they walked towards the clubhouse noticing that the floors were so clean you can see your reflection very clearly...especially issei who's totally looking at Asia's panty reflection. Don't worry Yu already got on him about it, but then Asia noticed a very locked door. issei said it was called "The Forbidden room" and that it never opens, Yu asked why and what's in there but issei says no one really knows there have been plenty of rumors of course but nothing concrete. when they arrived in the clubroom, they saw that only rias and Koneko were here
Issei: wait so Kiba isn't back yet?
Koneko: looks like someone decided to take the day off humph must be nice
Yu: hey give him a break he is going through a lot
Issei: have you seen him senpai?
Yu: well kind of, I didn't get to tell you all yet, but I saw Kiba again last night
Everyone in the room was shocked to hear that
Issei: you did! what happened?
Yu: well... I saw him having an intense battle with...with someone the three of us know a lot
He says that while looking at issei and Asia
Issei: uhhh huh? who would we...oh...oh no!
Yu: yea...him...
Asia shudders and looks she's about to cry. The boys soon notice and hug her tightly trying to comfort her
Koneko: uhhhh dose someone wanna fill us in?
Yu: *sighs heavily* Freed...Kiba was battling freed
Rias and Koneko are now shocked to hear this
Yu: and Loesing so I had to step in
Issei: wait Kiba? Loesing? ...really?
Yu: believe me it sounds crazy but freed had some kind of special weapon
Rias: a special weapon?
Yu: yea I think I hered both freed and Kiba call it a holy sword?
Everyone was shocked to hear that
Rias: a...are you sure that's what you herd?
Yu: yea they said it multiple times why do you know something about?
Rias sits in silences for a few seconds then looks up at issei and Asia
Rias: do you two remember what i told you about the holy sword project?
They both nod
Rias: *sighs* well I'm going to tell you more about it...stuff that I... didn't mention
She first lowers her head then makes a heavy sigh, she then looks at issei and Asia

They both nod
Rias: well now I'm going to tell you more
And she first starts to tell Yu what she told them last night. And then much more like Kiba not only being part of the holy sword project...but also how he was the only survivor. She said that there several other children involved, and that the church was raising them all to be Excalibur users. Yu, Issei, and Asia were surprised to hear this but what was more surprising was konekes sad face. Yu asked in his own words "how in the hell is that possible?" she goes on saying that there are seven holy swords in existence. She says that they all use to be one incredibly powerful holy sword, but it shattered and broke into seven Pices during a great war long ago. The church did manage to collect all the pieces and use some form of alchemy to create seven new holy swords out of the Pices.
Issei: wait seriously? so, dose that Kiba can use one?
Rias: *sighs* unfortunately no he never had the strength needed to handle the Excalibur's power
She hangs her head low sighing again
Rias: in fact, none of those who trained ever could...and as a result the church considered the project a complete failure
Issei: huh? a failure?
Yu: if that's true what happened to the children...no... they didn't...
Rias: ...yes, they did, sense the higher ups saw that the project had failed they thought it was best to...
Issei: ...?
Asia: ...?
Rias: ...*sighs* to dispose of Kiba and the other test subjects
Yu just covered his face in disgust while Koneko crushes her candy bag
Issei: ... wait dispose as in ...kill them?
Rias: ...yes
Issei: ...! w-w-what the hell?! how could they just...
Asia: ...oh...oh Kiba...
Rias: ...all of them were already on the verge of death *sighs* however one child was able to escape, and that child was Kiba. his motivation to keep living was a promise to himself that he would someday get revenge, revenge for his fallen friends, revenge on the ones who murdered them, and revenge for everything they took from
Issei: ...danm that's hardcore
Rias: yes, it is, in fact I not only felt that such a passion could be used in a meaningful way, but for so long i wanted to do something about the project especially for how many people and especially children they tortured to all end in failure
Issei: well, if that's true then why didn't you?
Rias lowers her head which confuses him, that's when Yu puts his hand on his shoulder
Yu: for the same reason why she couldn't help us her father and her wouldn't let her right rias?
She nods her head
Rias: in the end all I could do is make sure that one was able to make it and that one was
Issei: hmmm so that's why Kiba's a devil and he's been acting like that seeing that photo brought up bad memories and remined him why he became a devil
Yu: ...yea
Rias first sighs...and then chuckles? a little
Rias: well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens
That's when the door opens seeing Akeno who just arrived who also invited two more familiar people Sona and Tsubaki. they came to tell rias about some urgent news that she alone must hear. OfCourse some of the members were a little anxious about that but rias managed to ease their worry. after that rias decides to call it a day and everyone went walking home.
After Yú, issei, Asia, and Koneko left the club house they all decided to walk together a little bit
Issei: geez was it just me or was Sona acting really weird?
Yu: she is an archdevil issei
Issei: I mean I know that but when she just came in immediately wanting to talk to rias... it's almost like she's... afraid
Asia: but... what could possibly terrify her?
Yu: ...well my guess would be their polar opposites
Issei: opposites...oh you mean angles
Koneko: hmm yea that would a good guess, however I'm honestly more worried about Kiba
Issei chuckles and Koneko looks at him annoyed
Koneko: what!?
Issei: I'm...I'm sorry but is that really true I see the way you treat him constantly
She then loses her annoyed and just lowers her head
Koneko: yea... I know...
Issei: ...uhh Koneko?
Koneko: ...*sighs* look i have my own reasons for caring about Kiba just like you have your own right?
Issei: huh? oh, oh yeah actually I do, I know what rias told us, but still... senpai, you saw him last, right?
Yu: ...yea seeing him with freed really didn't feel right to me
Issei: then shouldn't that mean we should help him out somehow and not because I feel obligated to, but because he my friend
Yu and Koneko were a little taken aback by what issei said, but that didn't stop Yu from feeling a little more proud of him
Yu: I mean yea I feel the same way, but I already did help him, and he still bluntly told me to fuck off, and even if I wanted to again, I wouldn't know where to find him
Issei: danm it...yea that's true...what do you think Koneko?
Koneko: hmmmm I don't really know, but if i think of anything I'll tell you tomorrow see ya
And she begins to walk her own way to home
Yu: huh you guy ever wonders what Koneko's home life is like?
Asia: kinda
Issei: well, sorta I do wonder what drove Koneko and the others to become devils and follow rias
Yu: well, it's all just wonders and guesses until they tell us, but I should be heading home to see yea guys
Asia runs up to Yu and gives him a big hug and Yu hugs her back with a big smile... which make issei feel a little... ok a lot uncomfortable
Yu: Hehe you know I'll see you tomorrow, right?
Asia: *pouts* I know but I want too always be with you
Yu then holds her face up to look at him
Yu: you're really cute when you pout you know
Asia then blushes beat red while trying to cover her face
Asia: Yu! ...
Yu then kisses her head and hugs her
Yu: don't worry you know I won't be far, and I'll see you soon
Asia: ohhhhh ok I'll see you soon
They let go of each other and Yu walks off to his apartment
Asia: *sighs* he's so amazing
Issei then walks off frustratingly
Issei: tch you can go with him you know
Asia: huh? wait issei!
Asia tries to run after him
Issei: no, your right he is amazing
Asia: ...issei...
Issei: he's stronger, smarter, a lot better looking then I'll ever be so why not? why not go with him? you clearly love being around him more than me!
Asia: I...issei...
Issei: ... shit no wait Asia I'm sorry ok I...*sighs heavily* ok look I... I just...I will admit that I have been a little jealous lately even though i have no reason to be. She runs up to him and hugs him from behind

issei: oh... *Inner speech* oh, yea Yu was the being challenged so he did have a lot more to lose then I did...*sighs* yea now that I think about it totally makes sense

She runs her hand up and down his chest
Asia: when we...get back to the house...we can do... whatever you want

Asia: I should be able to make you feel good, really good, whatever you want to do or me to do I'll gladly do it
Issei: *gulps* *inner speech* she'll...really...do anything? I...no...no...it wouldn't feel right
issei turs around to look at asia
Issei: look Asia its ok you don't have to do anything drastic like that, so how about this Sunday you and me just go on a date? how about that?
Asia: *gasp* ...*giggles* yes OfCourse I would to
Issei: good and uhhh we should get going now before it really gets dark
Asia: yea your right
And so, they both continue to walk back home, but while walking Asia decides to hold isseis hand fingers locking and all which made issei very happy
Meanwhile in a demiplane somewhere in the underworld four girls walk into the same private Sonna to have another conversation
Rias: hmmm been awhile since we were here
Akeno: Mmhm last time we were here we received some helpful advice
They slid the towels off there body's showing off there near perfect nude figures
Sona: well, if its more advice you're expecting I'm afraid you'll be disappointed
Sona and Tsubaki also remove their towels showing off their own nude forms
Rias: so, what did you bring us back her for?
Sona: ...a warning
And Sona tells rias and Akeno about the two young girls from the church they saw and spoke to this morning. Apparently, they wanted to speak to rias about something important. OfCourse rias was not only skeptical but also surprised that members of the church wanted to speak to a devil like her. At first, she suspected that they are to cause trouble like freed. OfCourse Sona agreed but she had no choice but accept their request and told them where they could find her so they can visit her after school which rias was OfCourse upset about at first but then understood. Sona and Tsubaki also wanted to warn rias that the two members were carrying holly swords which really shocked rias and Akeno to hear.
Rias: wait did you say they were carrying holy swords?
Sona: yes
Akeno: lady rias...didn't...
Rias: yes, but why would they possibly be working together he not only worked closely with the fallen ones and tried to kill one their own they have no reason
Akeno: ... yea...unless...*gasp* rias! what if it's not a reason he's after but
Rias: an opportunity...wait
issei and were walking up to the house until issei noticed something
issei: huh why is the front door open...and why is so quiet?
Rias stands starting to panic
Rias: Sona I'm very sorry but I must go now some of my club members might be in danger
Both rias and quickly leave while rias is trying to contact someone
Yu was walking through the street when he felt a warm vibration from his pocket
Yu: huh? what's? oh must the Commuinication stone rias gave me
Sarasvati: why would she give you that anyway doesn't she have a phone
Yu: I honestly don't know but clearly, she needs something
He gives the stone a little squeeze and a holographic image of rias appears
Yu: hey riAA OH WHY!? WHY ARE YOU NAKED?
Rias: huh? oh, sorry I just came from a sonna but listen I think you and the others are in danger
Yu: what? from what?
Rias: not what, who, freed!
Yu: huh why would that that be i told you that last i saw him he was after Kiba and i scared him fairly quickly
Rias: but what if he wasn't just after Kiba, he's after anyone who wronged him
Yu: anyone?...wait shit! issei! Asia!
Rias: go to their house and check on them I'm already on my way to Koneko's immediately let me know what happens
Yu: right talk to you soon
The hologram disappears and Yu starts running to isseis house
Yu: please be ok you two...I...I can't lose anyone else...not again
Asia: issei? what's wrong?
Issei: *inner speech* this...this just like...
His mind flashes back to when he first encountered freed, and he immediately tenses up pulling Asia behind him
Issei: Asia no matter what stay behind me no matter what
Asia: ...? o-okay
He summons his boosted gear and slowly walks towards his house
Issei: mom!?
No answer
Issei: danmit...
They carefully walk through the door, and they can see one room was lit up
Issei: mom!? mom where are you!?
Female voice: oh, I'm in here sweetie please come in there's someone who really wants to meet you
Asia: ...*whispers* issei
Issei: stay alert
They carefully walk into the lit room and immediately they can see three figures. one was isseis mother obviously, the two others were sitting on a couch adjacent to her, two young girls one with long orange hair, the other short blue hair both Wareing priest cloths
Isseis mom: oh, issei there you are welcome home, hmm? now what's with that sour look on your face
Issei: ...mom who are they and what are they doing here?
Isseis mom: what? oh, issei how rude of you, I can understand you not knowing Xenovia, but you must remember Irina
Issei: uhhhh Irina?
Isseis mom: *scoffs* issei!
Irina: oh no its ok Mrs. Hyoudou it has been a very long time I mean last time we saw each other here look
Irina showed issei the same picture where him and a young kid playing video games together Infront of a sword on the wall
Irina: see that's you and me together we use to be inseparable before I had to move

Issei now discreetly DEsummons his boosted gear which somehow Xenovia noticed
Issei: wait are you serious? I always thought you were a boy but you're a girl?

Irina: no no its alright I understand actually I really did act like a boy back then, but other than that it's still really nice to see you again issei
She says with a cheery smile...but inside...it's a different story

Then they all suddenly hear a loud bang like someone kicking a door open, and a young boy screaming his lungs out
Yu: ISSEI!?
They all got surprised but only three out of five of them got a little worried
Yu: ISSEI! ASIA! WHERE ARE YOU!?
Issei: uhhh i-im here Yu!
Issei quickly rushes to the front door and gives the abort sigh which calms Yu a little
Issei: yea I'm here senpai *whispers* there are two people from the church here and there here with my mom and neither of them are freed so stay cool
Yu: *sighs* ok good
Isseis mom: issei! who is that? what's going on?
Issei: oh, uhh don't worry mom
They both walk to the room where everyone is and as soon as Irina sees him, she began to blush a little, and Xenovia somewhat noticed that
Issei: it's just Yu-senpai mom
isseis mom: ohhh Yu-san its lovely to see you again, you honestly gave me quite a fright when you came in like that
Yu: yeaa I'm so sorry Mrs. Hyoudou I was kind of in a panic I forgot that I had a study session with issei and Asia

Yu gives him a "get the hint" look

Issei: ...oh...ohhh y-yes yes, we did
Isseis ohhh well that's nice to hear, oh but first you must meet these two lovely young girls
Yu: oh, uhh hello I'm Yu narukami I'm sorry if I scared you
Irina: oh, it's alright my name is Irina Shido
Xenovia: ...
Irina nudges her
Irine: Xenovia don't be rude
Xenovia: *heavy sigh* I'm Xenovia Quarta
Then she just says nothing
Irina: *sighs* I'm sorry she's not really the most...social person
Yu: *chuckles* the ok its nice meeting you two
Xenovia: ok Irina we got to meet new people and you got to see your friend again I think it's about time we leave
Isseis mom: ohhh already?
Irina: *sighs* yes unfortunately, it was really nice seeing you again Mrs. Hyoudou and I hope to see you again soon

As they both leave Xenovia gives Yu a very glairing side eye that he noticed. not long after rias arrived and gave Yu, Asia, and issei a big hug
Rias: oh, I'm so glad you're all safe I was getting worried sick, Yu! I thought i told you to immediately let me know when something happened
Yu: I couldn't exactly call you on a magic rock Infront off isseis mom and two church members, could I?
Rias: *sighs* no but still I got really worried
Issei: about what? we fought freed before and senpai fought him twice and won
Rias: that's not the point!
They all got surprised by her sudden outburst
Rias: *sighs* it's about the fact that there's not just one holy sword user here but three and the two you just encountered are meeting with me tomorrow
They are all shocked to hear this

Yu: they already knew about you, me and Asia the whole time...*sighs* well shit
Rias: exactly and not only that this pin a target on all of your backs by tomorrow from the church *sighs* it all honestly depends on what they want to talk about
Yu: and you have a suspicion it's about what we did with the fallen angels and Asia right?
Rias nods
Rias: Mmhm that's right
Yu: hmmmmm well looks like we got no choice but to be there with you tomorrow
Issei and Asia: WHAT!?
Rias: uhhhh yea what? are you crazy? why would you want that?
Yu: I don't want that, but we have to, think about it they already know who we are where we live, who were connected to and what we're capable of, if they don't see us there with you, they're going to think your trying to do something to them. Maybe with one member not there obviously Kiba they won't think too much about it but with half of your members not there especially the strongest ones that might rub them the wrong way
Rias: hmmmmm I see in putting all or most of the cards that I have on the table where they can see they'll know I have no ulterior motives and I have nothing to hid making the meeting go more smoothly...*sighs* I wish I can deny that kind of logic, but I agree
Issei: yea me to
Asia: same here
Rias: *sighs* well then if we are all agreed I'll see you all tomorrow afternoon but right now let's just sleep
Issei: yea I'm real freaken tired after today
Yu: then I should be going now
Issei: wait hold on senpai you can just sleep in the spare room
Yu: nah I like my own bed besides i think you and Asia need some time to yourselves now wouldn't want you getting anymore jealous
Both Asia and issei gasp and blush hearing that

Yu: *chuckles* goodnight you two
And Yu leaves going back to his apartment
Rias: *giggles* wow the three of you really are a love triangle huh?
Issei and Asia are still blushing
