Hello everyone.
A couple opening notes: First this is just a repost of chapter 20. I had to fix the beginning part since until someone pointed it out i had completely forgotten that Narcissa already knew Sirius secret. So thank you for pointing that out and I worked to fix that.
Second: I've seen several other writers creating social accounts to keep more in touch with their viewers. So, I have created a Facebook account called Snowbeam that you guys are more than welcome to send me a friend request on. I will use it to easier interact with everyone, post updates about my Works in Progress and post little polls and such. Please feel free to send me a friend request on that account and I should start posting soon.
And third i would just like to remind everyone that the updates might just have a little bit of a wait at times but that doesn't mean that the story is discontinued. I have no plans to abandon this story. I would love to be able to write more, believe me. So I do thank you guys for having a little patience with me. I appreciate everyone that has read, enjoyed and continued to support my story Is The Dark All Dark.

Chapter 20
Disasters and Eggs
Sirius leaned against the wall of Harry's bedroom with his arms crossed as he returned the glare he was currently receiving from the eldest Malfoy wizard. Harry had locked himself in the bathroom, seeming to forget that if Lucius actually wanted in, a simple charm would have it open in a matter of seconds.
"I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that you are an unregistered grim. It makes far more sense than you just disappearing off the face of the planet." Lucius sneered, tapping his wand against his arm as he glared at his wife's cousin. Sirius released a growl that sounded like something his animagus form would make rather than his human one. Draco glanced between his father and the wizard that had caused so many problems during the last school year. It blew his mind that the wanted Azkaban escapee had managed to sneak into Malfoy manor without being detected.
"Why doesn't it surprise me that you're just as controlling as ever Malfoy." Sirius sneered, wishing not for the first time that he'd learned more wandless magic.
"Draco, I want you to go find your mother. And keep your godfather away from this room. Merlin knows we don't need a fight between those two." Lucius stated without looking at his heir. Draco for once simply nodded, running from the room without any words of objection. Sirius glared at the Lord for a moment before walking towards the bathroom door. He uncrossed his arms, raising his hand to knock, hoping Harry would unlock the door.
"Can I come in?" Sirius questioned, raising his voice just enough to be heard through the door. When he didn't receive any form of response he glanced at Lucius. The blonde-haired wizard wore an annoyed expression on his face, clearly still objecting to having the Azkaban escapee in his manor.
"Lucius what is Draco talking about? A grim in Harry's room, really. Of all the tales he could be sprouting, stories of a grim is not something to be taken lightly." Narcissa stated, hoping her neice wouldn't say anything about their conversation the other day. Her wand quickly slid into her hand when she caught sight of her cousin, her eyes growing wide. Sirius simply rolled his eyes, easily figuring she didn't want her husband knowing she knew her cousin had been in their home and close to their son.
"How are you here? What are you doing in my home?!" she demanded, holding her wand up to point at him.
"Nice to see you too Cissy. It's been too long. Haven't spoken since just before you married Mr. Pompous over there." He stated the tone in his voice dripping with annoyance and sarcasm. Lucius glared at him for a moment before turning his attention to his wife. She stood looking at him, silently thanking him for playing along.
"Apparently that dog that always follows Harry around has been your idiot cousin. Which really doesn't surprise me that he's an unregistered animagus. As to what is going on, Harry has locked himself in the bathroom after he lost control of his magic because of another argument between the three of us." He responded, glancing towards the doorway occasionally, nervous that Draco wouldn't be able to keep Severus occupied.
"Izzy!" Narcissa snapped, hoping to summon the Potter house elf that had attached herself to Harry. The protective house elf popped into view, bowing in respect to the Malfoy Lady. Izzy stubbornly stood in front of the two angered magic users, refusing to give them any type of answers that they would try to use to hurt Harry even further. She was loyal to her family and as far as she was concerned at that moment, the Malfoy Lord and Lady didn't fall under that category. Sirius glanced up from where he had taken to leaning against the wall with his arms crossed when he heard the lock to the bathroom door click, signaling Harry had finally unlocked it.
"Hey bud, you ready to talk?" he questioned, knocking his knuckles against it after a moment.
"I want to leave. I want to go home." Harry whispered, cracking the door open just enough to see his godfather.
"Well, we're ready to leave whenever you are. Izzy informed us the other elves have Potter Manor in living conditions once again and they all can't wait to meet you." Remus stated, stepping into the room with Tonks. Narcissa briefly glanced at them before turning her attention back to her husband, giving him a look, hoping he would voice some kind of objection. The Malfoy lord simply slid his wand back into the holster on his arm, shaking his head. He had already caused enough damage for one morning and the sooner Harry left the sooner he could speak with Severus in an attempt to sort things out before the Yule Ball.
Draco stood in his room leaning against the high window, watching the cloaked forms disappear once they'd gotten outside the Manor wards. He crossed his arms as he glared at the falling snow as he once again was forced apart from his twin.
"Young Master Draco be summoned to Master Malfoy's office for family meeting." One of the house elves stated, dropping into a low bow, its ears touching the ground. He glanced at the magical creature for a brief moment before stalking passed it out of his room. Severus was standing next to the fire with his arms crossed while Narcissa and Lucius sat on one of the velvet couches in the room.
"Going to explain why you had Draco keeping me busy in the library while you were in Potter's room? Worried I would say something to upset the brat?" Severus questioned once Draco had sat in the chair across from his parents.
"I had Draco keeping you occupied because Harry was already in enough of a distressed state without you making more comments to set him off. We need to talk about how the last several months have gone." Lucius stated. Severus didn't fail to notice the annoyed glare he was receiving from both his godson and Narcissa before turning his attention back to his best friend.
"The boy needs to learn some manners. He's been allowed to run wild his entire life. His brief time at Hogwarts has shown that. And look at the stunts he's already pulled this year. He managed to enter his name into the Triwizard Tournament! He's made a complete mockery of Hogwarts and both of you are acting like he's just some misguided child!" Severus finally snapped, losing his temper.
"Because that is exactly what he is Severus, and you know it! He's still a scared child that has been forced to grow up way to soon and much to fast!" Narcissa snapped, her magic causing the flames in the fireplace to brighten for a brief moment. Draco glanced at his mother, knowing just how angry she was because she'd always told him to hide his emotions and keep a firm control over his magic. Lucius simply crossed his arms, shaking his head.
"First you refused to believe me when I told you Harry was Hadrian. To add insult to injury once we have shown you a heritage test from Gringotts you refuse to act like his godfather and continue to treat him like he's the son of the man who tormented you during school!" Lucius stated the cold tone in his voice succeeding in making Severus flinch slightly. Draco couldn't help sinking back into his chair, thinking about just how badly he'd treated his brother in their first three years of school.
"Are you listening to yourself!? You haven't had to deal with Potter for- "Severus began, falling silent when he was hit with Narcissa's charm. The Malfoy Lady stood up; her wand gripped tightly in her hand as she glared at someone she had considered a close friend.
"He is only a Potter by blood adoption. He is a Malfoy by birth and the sooner you realize that Harry is a wonderful child, the better off you will be!" she snapped before she stalked out of the room. Lucius hung his head in shame at his wife's fury, annoyed more with himself for not only how badly he'd allowed the current events to get but also for how badly he'd messed up during his sons' second year at Hogwarts.
Potter Manor
Harry was silent as he walked through the massive gardens of Potter Manor, brushing his fingers against the flowers as he remained lost in thought. Since leaving Malfoy Manor, his magic had calmed but he'd been left with the guilt of leaving the way he did. He hadn't been able to say goodbye to Narcissa and she'd been the only person to welcome him with open arms without any conditions.
"Master Hadrian, lunch being served." Izzy stated, popping into view at his side. His steps faltered for a moment, glancing at the house elf that he had come to consider family.
"Thank you, Izzy. But…can you tell Sirius and Remus I just need a bit more time to myself? I'll be inside a little later." He muttered, managing to offer her what he hoped was a reassuring smile. She stood there for several minutes, watching him before she nodded, popping out of view. Harry released a deep breath before he ventured further into the gardens. After several minutes of mindless walking, he stumbled upon a small pond that had been surrounded by stones that shined like crystals. He couldn't help staring at the rainbow effect these stones had from the reflection caused by the sunlight hitting them just right. The young lord could feel the magic they released, allowing the calming feeling to finally ease his own magic.
"Your…grandmother used to sit out here every morning and write in her journal. The stones have runes carved into them that is supposed to create a calming environment that doesn't allow harmful magic to be used within the wards around it." Remus's voice suddenly stated behind him. Harry glanced over his shoulder, realizing he had sat on the grass near the water. The werewolf offered a smile as he joined the young boy.
"Do…you think I overreacted with them? I lost control of my magic like a child." Harry groaned, throwing himself back on the ground dramatically. Remus released a chuckle, shaking his head at the boy's antics.
"Honestly, no. I think it was a long time coming. They were letting Snape walk all over you for the last several days since we got there when you were supposed to be a guest. And Harry, contrary to how mature you are most of the time, you are still a child." He commented. He offered a reassuring smile, hoping to cheer the boy up. Harry only released a deep sigh before he pulled his knees close to his chest, resting his cheek against them. Remus couldn't help the sad expression that crossed his face for a moment as he thought about how much Harry had been forced into enduring since reentering the wizarding world shortly after his 11th birthday. Remus couldn't help sighing at the defeated look on Harry's face.
"Well, you're here now. So just spend the next couple days just relaxing and being a kid. Like you should have had the chance to do before. Forget about all the drama with the Malfoys and Hogwarts and the stupid tournament." Remus stated, giving his shoulder a reassuring squeeze before he stood up, brushing his pants off.
"Come inside whenever you're ready. The house elves will keep lunch warm for you so don't think you have to rush. It's not going anywhere." he offered before walking in the direction of the manor. Harry continued sitting in silence, his gazing simply watching the water ripple from the fish swimming around. His mind wandered, thinking about how his life had been over the last several years and about what it could have been like if he'd been raised by the Malfoys. For a moment he couldn't help wondering what life would have been like if the Potter's hadn't died and had gotten the chance to continue raising him. Clearly, they had loved him, and they'd known the truth about his heritage, and they hadn't cared. They'd raised him for that first year and a half as their own son and Lily had gone so far as to leave him a letter to explain who his real parents were. If they'd been around there was a chance he wouldn't have been as estranged from his brother, he wouldn't feel exiled and conflicted with his parents.
"I wish everything was so much simpler." he whispered, releasing a deep breath before he finally stood up. He brushed the dirt from his pants before reaching up to brush his bangs out of his face. He couldn't help smiling as he caught sight of the purple it was still charmed, thinking about Daphne. He'd enjoyed getting to spend time with her during the Yule Ball before the whole disaster with Professor Moody. His eyes grew wide when he realized he'd completely forgotten about the Golden Egg that was supposed to give him some type of hint as to what the next task was going to be, and he had barely a month before it was scheduled.
"I am such an idiot!" he gasped, sprinting towards the house. Sirius and Remus jerked their attention away from their game of chess when he came barreling into one of the larger family rooms on the main floor. He was panting, leaning over with his hands on his knees as he attempted to catch his breath.
"What's going on pup? I thought you were still outside enjoying the fresh air?" Sirius questioned, moving one of the chess pieces still in play on the board.
"I forgot about the egg! I completely forgot I was supposed to be trying to figure out the next stupid hint!" Harry panicked, starting to pace once he'd managed to catch his breath.
"Harry calm down. There is still plenty of time to figure it out. Why don't you go get it from your trunk and we'll take a look at it and see if we can't figure this hint out together." Remus responded, hoping to calm the boy down. Harry managed to nod before he ran through the manor towards the room the elves had said was his, knowing they would have already placed his trunk there. He had barely made it to the stairs when Izzy suddenly appeared in front of him holding the golden egg in question in her small hands.
"Master Harry only need call." she firmly stated as he carefully took it from her. He couldn't help blushing at the look she gave him before he turned and walked back towards the study. He stood in the doorway for a moment, watching Remus and Sirius play their game and Tonks sat in another chair close by going over what he assumed was either plans for his training or auror reports.
I am currently working on the next chapter so i hope to have it posted soon. Thank you for your patience.
