Despite the fact that I'm happy to see Naoto again, I have to confirm this.
"What do you mean the Fog has returned?"
Naoto: "It's exactly as I said, senpai."
Teddie: "She's telling the truth, Sensei."
Not AGAIN! When we solved the murders we got rid of the fog along with Izanami.
Rise: "But how? Didn't we already deal with Izanami?"
Is she a mind reader?
Youske: "What about that other guy? Ameno-Sagiri?"
Chie: "You think Adachi is behind this?"
Youske: "He must've escaped!"
Kanji: "Its the only explanation. I'm gonna get to his prison cell and beat him down!"
Naoto: "That was my first thought, so I checked with the warden, but apparently he hasn't even attempted an escape, in fact he's been on quite good behaviour."
That's a relief, but then-
Rise: "But if it's not him, then who?"
Ok you're scaring me now.
Oh shoot! Quit staring at her!
Chie: "Yeah, and how did you know about the Fog, Naoto-chan?"
Yukiko: "You didn't go in without us, right?"
Naoto: "Of course not, Mitsuru-san told me. That's what our meeting yesterday was about, senpai, and when I heard that, I knew I had to come tell you guys."
Me: "I can't thank you enough, Naoto, but will Mitsuru-san be alright without you?"
Naoto: "No need for thanks. Mitsuru knew I'd be coming here, and she approved, but she's asking all of us to hold off going to the other side."
Teddie: "I won't."
Me: "Huh?"
Teddie: "I won't wait, Sensei. My world is in trouble, and Mitsuru-chan wants us to wait? No, I won't."
Naoto: "Hold on, Teddie..."
Teddie: "No, Naoto-chan, I'll go in alone if I have to!"
Teddie goes running off into Junes.
Don't tell me.
Rise: "Teddie WAIT!"
But it's too late; he's already jumped inside the TV.
Teddy's POV
I can do this by myself. Even if I'm beaaary scared right now.
It's a little like before, the fog is covering up everything, but it's different in a way, it's not as thick. So it's enough to see through but not beaaary far.
"How could Mitsuru chan ask me to wait? Doesn't she know this is my world? It used to be so beautiful, and I'm tired of seeing people make it bad... But still, maybe I overreacted a little. Mitsuru chan probably meant well, and she is beaaaary smart. Maybe I should head ba-."
My eyes must be playing tricks with me! In front of me stands the biggest castle I've ever seen!
It would take weeks to explore all of this! Especially without sensei. And I definitely smell shadows.
"There he is!"
That's Rise-chan's voice! They came for me.
Rise: "Teddieeee, stupid bear."
Me: "I'm sorry I ran off like that, I'm just beaaary upset about this happening again."
Youske: "Teddie it's not like we don't understand how you feel, but we have to be careful, you know you could die out here."
Naoto: "Teddie, Mitsuru-san just wanted us to try and investigate in the real world while she gathered her team, so we can all go together."
Teddie: "Oh. I'm beaaary sorry I got so worked up."
Sensei: "We understand Teddie, and we're here now so let's see what we ca-"
Oh! Everyone is noticing the big castle.
Kanji: "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THIS PLACE IS HUGE!"
Naoto: "It is indeed quite large. Teddie, Rise, can you check if there are any others?"
I tried to sniff for anything else.
Me: "Nope. This is all there is, it even seems to be where the Fog is coming from."
Rise: "He's right. I can't find anything either."
Chie: "So we've gotta search this entire castle?"
Rise: "Actually, there are three entrances, but only one door leads to the main room. That must be where the owner's shadow is."
Youske: "But the midnight channel is still off the air."
Naoto: "We have to check again; there's just too much we don't know."
She's right. We should go...
An ominous voice runs through my head.
"Running away again? Your failures lie here, face them and suffer, or cower in fear and let them overwhelm you."
Sensei: "Did you guys hear that too?"
Kanji: "Yeah, something creepy is going on here."
Yukiko: "What should we do?"
Sensei: "Retreat, let's gather more information."
