Aigis's POV
It's been almost a year since I've seen most of my fellow S.E.E.S comrades; I wish I were meeting them under better circumstances.
From what Yu-Kun and his friends told us about the fog, there's no one else I would trust more than them to deal with this.
When everyone arrives, which should be any time now, we'll be making our way to Inaba shortly after. Yu-Kun reminds me of Makoto-San in more ways than one; they had a similar passion for their friends and a drive to do whatever it took to protect them.
I miss Makoto every day. I think about him every day. If I had known sitting on that bench would be the last time I saw him, there's so much more I would've said... I never even got to tell him that I love him.
I lost my way when he died, but he would want me to keep going, so I keep going every day.
Me: "For him."
I'm snapped back to reality when I feel someone's arms around my body.
"I've missed you, Aigis."
I grab her hands.
"I missed you too, Yukari."
Junpei: "Is there enough space for me in there?"
One by one, all of our friends come together for one big group hug.
"Woof woof"
Me: "Of course I missed you, Koromaru."
"Woof!"
Mitsuru is actually tearing up a little. Oh no, so am I!
Mitsuru: "Anyway, thank you all for coming. I wish it were under better circumstances."
Junpei: "No matter what, we're a family, so we support each other, right, Aigis?"
Okay, he's trying to make me cry on purpose.
Me: (chuckles) "We need to get to Inaba right away. Our friends need our help."
(The next day)
Ken: "It's been two years since I was last here."
Yukari: "It really is peaceful up here. The last time I came was with Rise-Chan."
Akihiko: "Speaking of, where are they?"
Mitsuru: "I'm not sure, but Naoto-San told me to meet here at Junes, and she said there was something she had to tell- oh there they are."
The members of Inaba's "Investigation Team," as I like to call them, are just arriving now, but they all look pretty shaken up.
Yu: "It's a pleasure to see you again, Mitsuru-San, Aigis-San, and the rest of-."
Yu-kun is cut off by his own yawn.
Mitsuru: "You as well, all of you, but are you alright?"
Youske: "We spent all night trying see if the midnight channel was back on."
Me: "If you were up all night, then I imagine it wasn't?"
Chie: "No, it's not, but we went into the TV world yesterday, and there's definitely something going on in there."
Mitsuru: "Wait you went IN? That was really dangerous of you guys."
Teddie: "It's my fault, Mitsuru-chan. I rushed in, and they ran to help me."
Mitsuru: "Teddie, I know that it's your world, but I wanted all of us to investigate together. If you guys got hurt in there, we wouldn't know what happened."
Teddie: "I'm beaaary sorry."
My body moves before my mind thinks. And I put my arms around his fluffy body. (He just looked so sad.)
Me: "It's okay, Teddie, right, Mitsuru?"
Mitsuru: "Of course, I was just worried."
Naoto: "When we went in there, we saw an enormous castle. It would take weeks to search through the whole thing."
Castle? Does she mean Tartarus? Akihiko says what I'm thinking.
"Castle? Is Tartarus back?"
Yukiko: "No, from what you told us, Tartarus was tall, this is wide."
That doesn't completely rule out the possibility, but it eases my mind a little.
Kanji: "Not only that but when we tried to leave this weird voice played in our heads, said something about our failures being there or something."
Our failures? What does that mean?
Mitsuru: "I was going to suggest going in today, but you guys don't seem to have the energy for investigating. You guys need to get some rest, then we'll go in."
Chie: "Normally, I'd argue, but she's right. We're not ready today."
Yu: "We'll meet here again at 10 o'clock tomorrow to conduct an initial investigation."
Mitsuru: "I couldn't have put it better myself."
Mitsuru has booked a hotel room for all of S.E.E.S to stay in, but before I go, I need to talk to Yu-kun.
"What is it, Aigis-san?"
"There's a place I want to go. Could you come with me?"
"Where are we going?"
To see Adachi-san.
