Chapter 15: Why?
Darkness surrounded him, the voices of those he doesn't know and those he does around him.
It's Louisville, you Sons Of Bitches!
Narumi?
What you're alive, but how…no! You won't keep haunting me!
Lord Third, please.
Rin what happened, and what are you doing?
Ahh, come on Shibi just hear me out. You can't say it's not the worst plan you've ever heard.
All I know is that they were skinny, tall, and had the weirdest British accent I've ever heard of.
Hey come here you mother fucker, mother bitch!
Listen! I'm about to relive the worst moment of my life. Cut me some slack.
WELL WELL WELL, guess who learned how to portal travel.
HI THERE KIDS!
He awoke with a start, the voices disappearing into the void around him. He looked around, but it was all black. "Where, am I?"
His voice echoed through the void. This place, what was it? His head ached as he put a hand to his temple. "What happened to me. The last thing I remember is…Kushina!"
His heart raced. His allies, his friends. They're in danger. He has to save them. He stood to his feet as he scanned for anything, a way out, a light, Anything.
"I can't be here! I need to find a way back. I can't fail them. Not again." His voice cracked. He didn't want to admit it, but he was helpless. He can help them now. He failed, as he always seemed to in the end.
"Damn it!" He yelled, closing his eyes to keep the escaping tears at bay. What could he do now?
A baby's cries flooded his ears. His eyes opened as a small light glowed in the distance. "Wh-What?" He didn't know what this meant. Why was a baby here? What could this mean? It's wails grew louder as his body began to move on its own. He took one step as the sound of dice filled the void.
He didn't understand what was going on but for whatever reason he knew he had to make sure that baby was ok. As he walked the light became larger and larger as the baby sounded closer with each step. The dice was still rolling as he walked. Suddenly it stopped as the void of black became white. The baby's crying ceased. He didn't know why but he could feel that the dice landed on a good roll.
Voices began to appear once more. However these ones were far more familiar.
"You're the all mighty Black Dragon. How cute." A woman's voice mockingly scolded. He looked for the source of the voice but with nothing but white void around him he decided he'd just continue walking.
"Let's do this, together!" Minato yelled out as two additional voices yelled out with his own, a creature roared out alongside the three yelling.
"OBITO!" Musket looked for the voice that yelled out, the white void suddenly becoming the color of blood. "Was, was that Rin?"
The cackling of a monster came to his ears, its voice far too familiar to ignore. "Rex!"
A scream of pain and anger filled the void while the sounds of death followed.
"I give to you all, the Fourth Hokage!" Hiruzen called as cheers followed.
"Yo-You're what!" Minato's voice followed though it seemed far more confused and yet at the same time, excited?
Musket continued to walk through the void as it started to become a light blue color, the sounds of babies crying one after another.
The sound of the dice came once again as the sound of a monster echoed through the void. He flinched at the creature's roar as the dice stopped, this time however he could feel that the number it had landed on wasn't such a good one.
His screams blasted through the void as a baby echoed his own. Both of their pain for the same person. He felt a tear run down his face as he continued to walk, knowing he couldn't stop now.
A second child cried out, this one however sounded older. He continued walking, feeling a ping of guilt for this one.
The cheers of children filled the void as he began to calm, almost like he was finally starting to heal from his guilt and sorrow.
"SOON, ALL OF HELL, WILL BURN!"
He stopped for the first time since he came here. That was Rex, but once again, something was very wrong with him. He seemed…dark.
His voice sounded along with others he knew. "Guy's?" He asked as a baby cried. He began to walk to it as the dice began to roll again. The baby's cries became that of a child as his sorrow suddenly came back to him. Musket just couldn't understand. What was this? Why did this have to happen?
The dice stopped and he could tell it rolled well once again. At the same time the cries ceased as children laughed, the void becoming an orange color as one boy's voice called out above the others. "I'm going to become the Hokage, Dattebayo!"
"Wha?" He asked as the voice continued to call.
"Don't you know how much he cared about you? He died for you!"
"I won't let you guys down that easily. Believe it!"
"I don't care about destiny or any of that crap! All I care about right now…is beating you!"
"Rasengan!"
"SASUKE!"
A second boy called out after the first.
"NARUTO!"
The sound of an explosion filled the void as its color became a dark purple. Musket continued to walk as more voices filled the air around him.
"I'm not giving up. No matter what."
"I'll kill you for what you did to our family."
"I'm not gonna let you two be ahead of me anymore!"
"Soon you will all know pain!"
"Kukuku, is that all you have?"
"Sasuke…I'll always be with you. No matter what."
"Do not misunderstand it. This is not power of your creation!"
"I'm gonna be better. No matter what!"
"I want to be a ninja just like your dad."
"You see it too. Don't you?" He stopped as he finally saw someone in front of him. They had their back to him but even then, for whatever reason, he knew them.
"Who are you? Where am I?" He asked the stranger as dice began to roll once again. The figure didn't answer him, the only sound being the dice rolling. The figure did start to turn as half of its face was in view.
"What!" Musket couldn't believe it. This figure, was him. He looked at him as a smile slowly formed on his, the dice finally stopped at this second Musket said one thing to him.
"All of them…will suffer from us."
