"Cupcakes or muffins?" Ryo asked as he busied himself getting baking utensils out of the kitchen cabinets. When there was no reply, he straightened up, turning to look at his lover. "Dee?"

The other man was staring blankly into space, an almost pained expression on his face. He seemed to be mouthing the words 'cupcakes' and 'muffins' over and over.

"Dee?" Ryo said again, moving to stand in front of his partner. "Which do you want?"

"I don't know! It's like askin' me to choose one flavour of ice cream!" He never had fewer than five tubs in his freezer, just because it was so hard to pick only one kind.

"Well, I guess we could make both."

Relief immediately flooded through Dee. Cupcakes AND muffins was infinitely better than one or the other. "Sounds good."

"Now we just have to pick which flavours."

And there was the panic again. Dee knew he'd enjoy whatever they made, because Ryo's baking was always delicious, but that was precisely the problem: everything Ryo made tasted so good, how could Dee be expected to choose one flavour?

"Why don't you choose? I'll be happy with anything."

Ryo laughed. "Guess I can do that."
