Late Night Meeting of Hero Teachers
An old man is sitting on his couch watching the TV about the sudden attack of villains striking in USJ yesterday with the students surviving and the heroes being able to capture most of them.
On the small table beside the couch is a letter that was written by All Might himself, meaning this old man knows of the number 1 hero and perhaps more like his secret. And he hasn't got any words from All Might in years.
Greetings, the air is warm here. It feels like summer is just around the corner. I hope this letter finds you well, sir. In good health and even better spirits. This semester, I took a position as a teacher in UA High School. That's right, I'm not guiding the next generation of heroes. I was hoping to find someone worthy of inheriting my power among the elite students at the school. A hero-in-training with outstanding test scores and a powerful Quirk.
However, before I ever began my tenure at UA, I met a young man. Even though he was weak, and had no Quirk of his own, he showed incredible bravery. He rushed into a dangerous situation that caused pro heroes including myself to hesitate and managed to save the life of a classmate. He may not have had a plan when he acted, but he knew he had to do something.
I feel like watching this young man spring into action taught me something that day, and it reminded me of the virtues I must embody in order to call myself a pro, a hero.
That's why… I meant it when I said this to him: "Young man, you too can become a hero."
Soon after that, I told this pupil the secret of my Quirk, and proposed that I transfer it to him. This ability I have, that's been passed on from person to person, cultivated, and made stronger, the crystallization of power that binds itself to a courageous heart for the good of those in need: One for All.
He accepted without hesitation, and I began training him for the trails he'd need to overcome in order to be accepted into the hero course at UA High School. Even though he sometimes struggle with his newfound abilities, he never stopped fighting, and gave 100% as he tries to harness One for All.
I don't like to toot my own horn, but I believe I found the perfect person to pass my Quirk on to. He has shown me time and again that he has what it takes to be a real hero.
I'm still quite new to the role of instructor. The day may come when I must trouble you, my old teacher, for advice. I'll be counting on your wisdom and patience when that time comes.
Until then, please take care of yourself as the season begins to change. I'll continue to keep you updated about what's happening.
Sincerely yours, Toshinori Yagi.
P.S.
My successor I just mentioned also happens to be my daughter's boyfriend. Right before the start of the new school year, I didn't think she would be into something like that so soon. But I trust Medaka, and this might be a good experience for her to be like any other girl than being the daughter of All Might.
"So, Toshinori has found a worthy successor." The old man said, having a small smile on his face.
"And it looks like Medaka is doing okay as well. Hope that boy is treating her good or else I'm crushing his head under my feet." The old man threatened and scratch his butt a bit.
(Night, UA High Faculty Office)
Night is calm and peaceful, at least for this night though there's not exactly gonna be a calm atmosphere within UA High.
The ones in the room for the meeting are Principal Nez, Toshinori in his weaken form, Midnight, Snipe, Vlad, Eraser Head, Present Mic, Cementoss, Power Loader, Thirteen, and Hound Dog. With them, there is also the Police Force Investigator Naomasa Tsukauch.
"Our investigators are trying everything they can learn about this so-called "League of Villains". We've made some progress, but we can't find anything on this Shigaraki so far." Naomasa informed.
"We've searched our records for men in their 20s or 30s who are registered as having some sort of disintegration Quirk, but so far, we've come up empty. Same for the Wrap Gate villain, Kurogiri. So, they're not citizens or they're using aliases." Naomasa said.
"In other words, they're completely off the radar from any search attempt we may try. At least the ones that are inside the law." Aizawa stated.
"And that we don't know anything." Vlad said, understanding that much, and doesn't like it.
"That goes the same for the other two villains who were with them. One girl calling herself Best Pain and the other named Naze also going by Black White." Naomasa mentioned.
"It's very sad to hear that there are even young ones who have stray themselves on the path of evil." Midnight sighed in sadness.
"Both must've been through some tough times or got bored of the heroic lifestyle that is our world, could be either way." Present Mic guessed.
"It's sad to see others in our students' generations to be villains. I wish there was a way to help them." Nezu said, hoping that just maybe those two could be convince to turn over a new leaf.
"We've gotta track 'em down. The villains may have been bruised very badly by Medaka's efforts, but once they heal up, the ringleader will probably try pullin' somethin' like this again." Snipe feared.
"Yeah, sure is going to be a pain." Aizawa sighed. But he is also glad that Medaka was there, otherwise he might've been the one to fight Nomu which would have ended pretty for him.
"He did seem like the type." Toshinori said out loud.
"Is something on your mind, All Might?" Nezu asked.
"The attack on the USJ was too bold. No sane adult would ever attempt it. The ringleader kept monologuing about reasons he was there, and he bragged about Nomu's many Quirks, but he never said a word about his own powers. When things didn't go his way, he was visibly upset. Like he was gonna throw a tantrum. All from what Medaka told me." Toshinori pointed out the flaws of Tomura Shigaraki.
"Ah, I guess him bragging about Nomu's Quirks was a quick way to draw me into a fight if I was the one who fought Nomu instead of Medaka." Toshinori admitted.
"That may be true but would've also been foolish move to reveal his powers to the enemy he was trying to kill. Though Medaka was smart enough to figure that out on her own." Aizawa pointed out.
"True, and yet Tomura didn't mind about bragging about the Quirks whether Medaka had figure him out or not." Nezu said.
"From everything that Medaka told me. This Shigaraki made wild, immature claims, but did so with a completely straight face. And he talked about Nomu like he was some kind of a pet." Toshinori said.
"A pet that couldn't killed us all if Medaka hadn't been able to stop him." Aizawa stated, glad that she was there.
"It seemed like he'd never been told "no" before—like he thought things would go his way no matter what. He has the personality of a spoiled little brat. A man-child." Toshinori described how Tomura seems to him.
"A child with incredible power though." Vlad pointed out.
"But did Medaka know about Tomura's power to begin with. Did she actually see him do anything that makes it look like it's decaying?" Midnight asked All Might.
"Medaka went on explaining about how Tomura has been scratching his neck so much whenever he gets angry, she theorizes that his Quirk must be related to a decaying power or some other dangerous power involves touching." Toshinori mentioned.
"She might be spot on as usual." Present Mic smiled.
"Still, it's possible he never those girls never got the Quirk counseling students receive in elementary which may also support Mic's own theory on what he said earlier too." Midnight said.
"Maybe so, but it doesn't really matter now." Snipe stated, can't focus too much on the past right now.
"There were 72 villains arrested in the aftermath of the USJ attack. They were all small-time thugs who usual work around lurked around back alleys." Naomasa mentioned the other villains.
"What worries me is that this "man-child" got them all to follow his crazy plan. They view him as a real leader." Naomasa said, feeling this uneasiness in his gut.
"Criminals are starting to feel more pressure now that the world is brimming with heroes. That could be why they were so quick to back such simple-minded villainy." Naomasa stated.
"Guess that make sense." Vlad understood how villains are desperately trying to make themselves look threatening enough.
"There are plenty a' people out there lookin' for a cause to get behind." Snipe commented.
"So, what can we do to stop them?" Midnight asked.
"Well, it is thanks to you heroes and Medaka that we have the time to devote ourselves to this case. We'll expand our investigation and continue searching for the perpetrators who planned this attack." Naomasa promised.
But then something in Nezu's mind made him think about Tomura.
"A man-child, huh?" Nezu said which Toshinori heard him.
"In some ways, he shares common ground with our students. They both have so much potential. And like our students, I suppose it's possible someone is guiding him, trying to nurture his malice and villainy." Nezu said, seeing something about Tomura that makes him look like a student for a dark teacher.
"I don't wanna think about what that could mean." Toshinori worried.
(The Next Day)
Medaka and Izuku are seen riding the train to UA High together considering they had to get overnight in that karaoke place which also serves as a small hotel, Medaka is also really cuddling herself onto Izuku.
"Medaka, you're being so close to me." Izuku blushed hard.
"Of course, my cutie Deku! I feel more closer to you than ever before, perhaps not as close when we were connected last night." Medaka smiled causing Izuku to gasp with his face turning redder.
"Medaka! Please, don't say that out loud!" Izuku exclaimed. He hopes that Medaka doesn't go blurting out about them having their first sex last night.
"Sorry, couldn't help myself when I love you so much." Medaka said before kissing him on the cheek.
"Aw, isn't that nice. Seeing those two loves each other so much." An old man said with his young daughter sitting close to Izuku and Medaka.
"I hope I can find my man someday." The daughter prayed.
"(Why do I feel like this is gonna be a long trip?)" Izuku thought embarrassed to be seen like this, not that he has a problem being with Medaka and all. But he's worried about camera crews wanting to interview him when he's still very nervous about things like this.
"Hmm, I wonder if I should give those two a call?" Medaka said to herself.
(UA High, Class 1-A)
"Hey, you guys! Did you watch the news last week?" Toru asked to her classmates.
"About the USJ? Yeah." Mashirao answered.
"It was so cool that we got a few seconds of screen time!" Toru bragged a bit.
"Though I bet nobody noticed me hanging out in the background." Toru exclaimed, feeling that she didn't get much attention as the others.
"Probably not." Mezo said bluntly which made Mashirao gasp.
"I-It is difficult to stand out when you're just gloves." Mashirao pointed out, hoping to try make Toru feel a bit better to know this.
"We're totally big deals. Those news channels love us—we're basically celebrities." Denki believed.
"Yeah, it's kind of crazy, right?" Eijiro asked.
"Get over yourselves. The hero course that pumps out pros was attacked, and that's what they care about." Kyoka stated.
"Let's not forget about Medaka being the one who took on that crazy guy with the exposed brain. That's something that'll be focus on." Zenkichi pointed out.
"Oh man, I could never forget that." Denki gasped, looking back on that day too.
"Who knows what woulda happened to us if Medaka hadn't step in." Hanta said with a slight chuckle.
"Why'd you say that?!" Minoru yelled in fear.
"I'm gonna pee myself just thinking about it!" Minori said, fearing that he would've been overcooked by that Nomu villain.
"Oh, shut up! Grow a pair, loser!" Katsuki shouted to shut the little grape boy up.
"Oh man, I can't believe how amazing that Medaka was fighting the bird guy who looked like his strength was on par with All Might! Guess that makes her than just the adopted daughter." Rikido bragged and threw little punches.
"Yes, her strength is truly a thing of wonder just like how All Might is." Fumikage agreed.
"Midoriya, how exactly did you meet Medaka?" Shoto asked curiously.
"Yeah, I've been curious about that too." Morgana turned to Medaka.
"Izuku and I met moments before the sludge villain, it was then after helping him train for the UA entrance exam. We've gotten close and became official." Medaka explained a little.
"I feel like there's more going on between you two." Hansode said while eating a lollipop, causing Izuku to blush.
And the clock changes to a new minute and Tenya comes in.
"Attention, homeroom is about to begin! Everyone stops talking and take your seats." Tenya ordered.
"Uh, we're still sitting." Eijiro mentioned.
"Yeah, you're the only one standing." Hanta pointed out.
But thank you for announcing." Medaka thanked.
Tenya took his seat feeling hurt that he fails to see his fellow students were already seated and Aizawa enters the room.
"Alright everyone, I hope you had a good rest during the week because your fight isn't over yet." Aizawa said.
"Our fight?" Katsuki wondered what this teacher would be talking about.
"Don't tell me…" Izuku feared something bad is happening right now while Medaka grins with excitement.
"Not more bad guys!" Minoru said shaking in fear. He really didn't want to go through that drama again.
"The UA Sports Festival is about to start." Aizawa revealed.
"Why would you scare us like that?" The students gasped and yells at Aizawa a little bit.
Class 1-A has gotten excited when Aizawa informed them about the UA Sports Festival which sounds really important when you're in a hero school.
"Let's go kick some ass!' Eijiro yelled excitedly.
"Wait a second." Denki said shoving his hand onto Eijiro's face.
"Is it really such a good idea to hold the sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?" Kyoka asked.
"They could attack once we're all in the same place." Mashirao shard this worrisome as well as some of the students are also worried about a sudden villain attack.
"Since we had the entire week off from school since then, there hasn't been any villain attack at our school so far and we've been on high alert as well. Making sure to keep an eye out for anything off and suspicious." Aizawa explained about the long week.
"Because there was no villain attack, the administration believes the threat has been handled and it's safe to host the event. Plus, they're beefing up security compared to past years." Aizawa assured that this UA Sports Festival will be fine.
"This event can also be a big opportunity for some of us who wishes to go pro once we graduate, we're not going to let a few villains get in the way." Medaka pointed out.
"Uh, I'm sorry, but why not? It's just a sports festival!" Minoru asked, looking scared.
"Mineta, don't you know how important this competition is?" Izuku asked, surprise that one doesn't seem to want to be part of the event.
"Of course, I do! I just don't wanna get murdered." Minoru stated his reason. Understandable with what happened at USJ.
"Our sports festival is one of the most-watched events in the entire world. In the past, everyone obsessed over the Olympic games, but then Quirks started appearing. Now, the Olympics have been drastically reduced in terms of scale and viewership. For anyone who cares abut competition, there's only tournament that matters, the UA Sports Festival." Aizawa explained how one of the big things UA became famous.
"That's right, and top heroes everywhere will be watching. This is where you get scouted." Momo mentioned about the heroes.
"Sure, unless you're dead." Minoru said, still scared.
"She's right. After graduating, a lot of people join pro agencies as a sidekick." Denki explained on that part.
"Yeah, but that's as far as some people go. They miss their change to go indie and star eternal sidekicks." Kyoka stated and looked at Denki.
"Actually, that's probably where you're headed. You're kinda dumb." Kyoka pointed out harshly making Denki feel hurt in the heart.
"Not to worry, Denki. You got the makings of a great hero; you can let out the best of your electricity." Medaka encouraged Denki to not give up on himself.
This cheered up Denki as he smiles and gave Medaka a thumbs up while Kyoka is a little surprised that she would defend the electric idiot like that. Then again, Medaka is always the one who wants to see the best in everyone.
"It's true that joining a famous hero agency can garner you greater experience and popularity. That's why the festival matters." Aizawa narrowed his eyes a little.
"If you wanna go pro one day, then this event could open the path for you. One chance a year, three chances in a lifetime. No aspiring hero can afford to miss this festival." Aizawa warned them about those chances.
"That means you better not slack off on your training." Aizawa said with a firm look.
"Yes sir!" The students responded as a yes.
"(The Sports Festival! That will help me show the world that I'm not just All Might's daughter!)" Medaka thought determined strongly.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Looks like Medaka and the rest of Class 1-A got themselves a big announcement about the upcoming UA Sports Festival! Everyone is going to push themselves to Go Beyond, Plus Ultra including Medaka to show all of Japan and the world how strong she is along with her Deku!
