StormHill Shack
Patting the horse I managed to 'procure' from one of the Kaiden Sellswords to make my travel a bit less troublesome, I mentally pondered how much time had passed as I stood outside on the pathway towards Stormveil Castle. A number of things the player could have done while I was off around galavanting, cleaving my way through the enemies back through the Stormgate; of course, that required me to fight the enemies again.
After I had taken a rest beside the Stormhill Shack, I had paid mind to ignore the young lady, as she seemed afraid of me, considering the character I was. I should possibly find some new armor at the very least to show I no longer served underneath the banner of Godrick.
Returning to my previous thoughts, getting back through Stormgate required me to fight through the enemies there, but at least I was able to take out the ranged enemies and other first before the Troll the next time from behind; from there, it was a simple matter of looking for the nearest Kaiden Sellsword rider, and relieve him of his steed via a swift strike up at him to knock him off his horse and strike him dead while the Sellsword was on his back.
That left me returning back, unsure how much time had passed in the amount of time it took for me to fight through Stormgate and acquire the horse I wanted. My question would soon be answered apparently, as I sat to relax the next moment. I felt my consciousness and vision fade as I felt my body slump over.
Dragon Burnt Ruins
"-I got enough health boost after Greyoll, and plenty of flask charges, I want to see what he does as a summon here."
From out of the aether, or whatever I could call it from what it felt, I stood up from near the summoning pool; guess that answers where my sign might show up, if that's where it showed up. As I stood upright, I looked in the direction of the Barbarian, "Hail, my Tarnished lord!" I greeted, my voice making a bit of an echoing voice.
"Okay okay, so his summon is programmed to talk in summon form."
The Barbarian walked up to me, with a prompt coming up saying, 'You ready to fight a dragon?'
"Oh sweet, chat! There's even dialog options for him as a summon!"
The player selected the prompt, getting me to nod at the player, "Ah, what a truly inspiring challenge for a lord of mine to take on, and no less, inviting me to take part in this endeavor as well!" I speaked, thrumming my fist against my chest, before reaching back to pull my greatsword out from its sheath, "I look forward to this grand battle ahead of us! I've heard rumors of such magnificent battles against dragons, and to think I get to experience it with the lord I've now sworn under!"
"Nice! Now I'm really excited how he fights the upcoming dragon!"
Shortly after, the player ran off towards the general area of where there were enemies roasting bodies over a bonfire, the very area where the Dragon Agheel would come flying down to scorch the area up with its flame breath. I ran after the player to keep up with him as we ran forward to initiate the boss battle.
The moment the Dragon came flying from out of the sky to burn the ground and the enemies there to land, I yelled out with boisterous fervour while sprinting forward past the barbarian, "By the grace, by my Tarnish lord, I WILL HAVE YOUR HEAD!" I yelled, letting my voice resound throughout the shallow lake, while earning the attention of the dragon at me.
"What the fuck even is this guy!"
I can still hear the barbarian's footsteps splashing behind me after I sprint past him, but now the player was making their character sprint as well towards the Dragon. The Dragon itself roared before arching its neck a bit, before throwing its head forward to begin breathing fire. "THE FLAMES SHANT BE SCORCHING MY ARMOR!" I yelled as I took a hard left in my dead sprint, avoiding the flames as the dragon aimed its head and fire towards me.
"Dude! Chat! He's pretty much aggroing the dragon on him!"
From the corner of my eyes as the dragon finished breathing its fire, the Barbarian went the other direction I ran from to attack its feet with his battle Axe. The Dragon meanwhile roared at me as I sprinted towards its head, "I SHALL PIERCE THROUGH THY SCALES!" I bellowed out as the dragon lifted its head to breathe fire at me, only for the Barbarian to catch its attention as the player jumped and slashed at the dragon's feet.
The Dragon roared as it turned its head to bite at the player, allowing for me to strike at its neck with my Greatsword with an overhead swing; The Dragon roared again and whipped around its body to strike at us both with its tail, I quickly brought my Greatsword up to block the attack, while the player was able to time his dodge and roll through the tail strike.
While the Dragon stepped back a bit from it spin attack, my feet dragged against the ground from me blocking against its attack, its attention still on me as I ran towards it while the player ran up at the dragon as well; The Dragon roared and dove at me to bite at me at a sideways angle, I retaliated in kind by jumping up onto the neck of the dragon and ran along the neck.
"WHAT!?"
What indeed, player, but now was not the time to gawk, "YOUR HEART BENEATH THY SCALES SHALL BE PIERCED WITH MY SWORD!" I yelled as the Dragon tried to buck me off from its neck as I ran along the spine of it, and jumped into its back while slamming my greatsword down into its torso. Blood splattered from out of its back, but no heart was pierced yet.
The Dragon didn't like the pain one bit, going by the angry roar as it reared its head around and bit its maw around my torso, wrenching me off from its back and tossing my body into the air while I was able to pull with me my greatsword. While I was flung through the air, the Barbarian continued to hack at the dragon's legs.
"Since when did…actually, I vaguely remember Midir being able to bite down on you, and toss you through the air…"
Indeed, Midir did, while at the same time breathing fire into its maw while you are in it, before tossing your character aside.
My body finally landed with a splash of water, keeping my grip on my sword while in the distance the player dodged and rolled through the stomps and chomps the dragon was trying to land on the player.
Picking myself up from the shallow water, I ran forward with my Greatsword at the ready, while the player was able to score a few hits into the head of the dragon, "BY ALL THAT IS MERIKA, NOT ONCE SHALL i FALTER, FOUL DRAGON!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, earning the attention of the dragon once more.
"I swear, they must have paid the voice actor good for these lines!"
The Dragon roared at me as it took to the skies, and began to breathe fire at the ground in an effort to catch me in it, while the player dodged and ran in the direction he wouldn't be. I however rolled to cover myself in water to drench myself, and keep myself from being burnt. As I stood back up, I braced myself as the flames fell upon my body, "RRRRGGGGH!" I grunted out, feeling slight pain, but the wet buff was able to apply on myself from the water and negated most of the fire that would have most likely charred my armor and skin.
"THY FLAMES ARE NOUGHT BUT A SLIGHT HINDRANCE!" I yelled while the dragon turned in its flight and landed opposite from me and the player. I dashed at the Dragon while the player behind me was on his way as well.
The Dragon let out another roar as it charged forward, I met the dragon head on as it whipped its head up at me; I responded in kind to its attack by quickly bringing my greatsword up to block the attack, a loud clang rang off while the player ran up ahead to attack the head while the dragon recovered from attacked.
Blood fell from the dragon's face, before it brought its head forward to breathe fire at the player, "I SHALL BE THY SHIELD!" I yelled as I ran in front of the face of the dragon as it backed up to breathe its flames at the player.
"Hold on, what?!"
The flames licked at the front of my body as I used the flat of my blade to at least block some of the fire from myself, while my own body parted the incoming flames from hitting the player, "FOR THE GRACE OF MY TARNISH LORD!" I yelled while grunting in pain.
"No way game, you can't just have characters throw themselves in front of the player like that!"
I charged forward again with my greatsword raised, "TO VICTORY MY LORD!" I yelled as the Dragon roared more.
"Oh hell no, I'm not about to look bad here!"
The dragon leapt forward to stomp its feet down at me, making me have to dodge roll and quickly stand up to strike at its legs, making the dragon groan in pain; the player meanwhile had his barbarian slam a strong attack into the head of the dragon.
In wailing pain, the Dragon backed up past me and fell, no doubt a repost was available.
"The repost!"
Ah, I was right, "TOGETHER MY LORD!" I yelled as he and I ran forward, and timed myself just right to strike the eye of the dragon with the barbarian's axe. I stabbed my greatsword into the eye of the dragon, while the player swung his axe, both of us caused severe damage to the head of the dragon, before both of us pulled back with our weapons.
The Dragon wailed and roared in pain as it fell backwards, and dissipated with a loud boom, signifying that the dragon had been vanquished. I raised my greatsword to the air of a gesture, "Ha ha! Tis was a glorious fight my lord!" I shouted, before my summoned form began to dissipate as well along with my consciousness.
"That was so freaking awesome!"
Opening my eyes as my consciousness returned to my own body, the horse I 'procured' neighed softly as he brushed his nose up against me, as if he was seeing I was back yet. I reached up to pat the head of the head, making it whinney a bit as it backed off after receiving the pats I gave it.
Standing up from where I sat, I looked up and saw that it was now dark out, time had definitely passed during the fight, leaving me to think on where to go next. I could just wait for the player first so that both of us could fight our way up to Margott, or I could go by myself and then wait by the entrance to Morgett…hmm.
I think I'll go up ahead without the player, pretty sure it'll still be a while before he finishes doing what he wanted to do while summoning me from time to time. That left me with a problem though, as I felt like fighting my way up rather than riding my horse up there…plus, the horse isn't like torrent.
After Godrick, a horse wouldn't be able to make it past that point, other than the optional route around beside the castle…
I think I'll leave the horse up by that finger woman that is supposed to be at the ledge next to the secret path, and head back to fight my way up through the enemies.
