Scourge and Amy walked up to a ticket booth getting their tickets as the pair walked inside a large stadium.

"...What happened to going to Twinkle Park, Ames?" Scourge asked with a slight frown. "I thought that was the plan beforehand!"

"It was the plan… until Shadow came into the house in the middle of the night and made us change it…" Amy explained with a slight mumble at the end.

"What would Stripes want with the two of us anyways?" Scourge inquired with an eyebrow raised.

"He wanted us to go with him to the Sonic Underground concert today." Amy began. "He uh… wants to see Sonia…"

"Sonia?" Scourge's eyebrow raised up even more. "Who's that?"

"Sonia is Sonic's sister! Did you even listen to anything I said about Sonic Underground?!" Amy exclaimed.

"Nah, I just kind of stopped listening when you mentioned 'Sonic'." The green hedgehog explained, earning a facepalm in response from Amy.

The pair took their seats. However, as soon as they sat down, they felt Shadow teleporting in. They both screamed as Scourge jumped into Amy's arms.

"SHADOW?!" Amy exclaimed.

The aforementioned hedgehog turned his head towards the couple. He was wearing a fedora with black sunglasses which obscured his eyes and wore a black colored trenchcoat. His eyebrows furrowed and put up his index finger to hush the two. Scourge and Amy couldn't see, but they were a bit spooked when they saw Shadow's gaze upon them from his sunglasses.

"Both of you do not direct any attention towards me." He whispered. Although he showed no emotion, Amy knew that Shadow was serious about this.

By now, everyone had taken their seats. The stadium filled up rather quickly. The disguised Shadow groaned as other Mobians surrounded him. He estimated at least more than a 1000 guests at the stadium attended the concert … where did all of these people come from?!

The lights dimmed down low as the show was about ready to start. When it began, smoke had emitted from the stage and the trio of hedgehogs appeared. They all looked great! Sonic was the lead singer and guitarist, Manic had the drums, and Sonia was playing the keytar. Shadow perked up everytime he saw her. Why was she so physically appealing?

The trio played their opening number. Shadow was beginning to lose interest in this every time Sonic was in the spotlight. People were cheering very loudly as he sang. The black and red hedgehog rolled his eyes. These people were as annoying as Amy when she still was in love with Sonic back in the day. Sonic's singing voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard. Manic wasn't bad, but he didn't really care for him. Sonia's voice, on the other hand, was even better sounding in person. He blushed as he sat cross armed.

Eventually, after what felt like forever, the song ended, with the band getting ready for another show. They went behind the curtains. Shadow stared in anticipation of what would happen next. Sonia came out from backstage and a lot of people cheered. Men and women BOTH fainted from the sight of her, much to the chagrin of Shadow. Why did these people fawn over her? Aside from feeling the funny feelings he felt, he felt a mix of anger when it came to these people swooning over her.

Why was he feeling this way?

"Good day everyone!" Sonia said through a tiny microphone close to her mouth. Her voice projected from the loud speakers to the audience members. Shadow frowned as people began to shout back at her in excitement. Why did he like to go to concerts again? They were loud and annoying. People were loud and annoying. Amy and Scourge weren't so bad, although they were making out right next to him. He slightly scooted away from them to give them some space.

"How is everyone doing today?!" Sonia asked with a grin. She was unable to tell what exactly people were saying, but she assumed they were all doing good.

"Thank you all so much for coming to our show!" The magenta hedgehog began. She got cheers and applause in response. "I'm performing some very special songs for you all today!"

The noise had died down as Sonia walked up to a piano and began to play. Shadow was absolutely enthralled by her playing. His sunglasses slightly slipped off of his face as he stared at her with wide eyes. He felt chills all over his body and felt as if he was transcending into another universe. This nice music really reminded him of Maria and some of the music she would play. He closed his eyes and began to daydream.

Shadow opened up his eyes and found himself next to Sonia. The magenta hedgehog stared at him lovingly. Shadow felt his chest burn up again as she was inches close to his face. This burned up feeling became evidenced when his cheeks had become rosy. She had such nice thick eyelashes which curved upwards and they fluttered as she looked at him with a wink. That feeling in Shadow's chest grew bigger as he now felt his heart was about to explode out of his chest. Just what the hell was going on anyways?!

He snapped back to reality and noticed that Sonia was taking a bow as she finished up her song. A round of applause was heard as he began to lay low with his disguise.

"Well for this next song, I'm going to need a volunteer to accompany me in singing!" Sonia explained. After about two seconds after she announced this, a lot of people were fighting to see who Sonia would pick. Lights in the stadium were circling around to pick the lucky person who would end up singing with Sonia. Shadow glanced at the lights. They better not ruin this for Sonia, whoever got picked.

"You with the fedora and trenchcoat!" Sonia exclaimed, pointing towards the disguised Shadow.

Well shit.

All eyes darted towards Shadow. He was frozen in place as he realized he needed to be up there with her. In front of a huge crowd of people. Silence took over the whole stadium as people continued to stare at him. The disguised hedgehog did not say anything as he just quietly pointed to himself and titled his head.

"Yes, you!" Sonia answered with a smile. "You were chosen to be my singing partner! So what do you say?"

More silence filled the stadium. The disguised Shadow began to sweat down bullets as he was now shaking his place. Amy and Scourge cringed slightly at the sight. They had never seen Shadow so… lively before. Amy did slightly feel bad, the black and red hedgehog was not used to this kind of attention.

"..i…" He squeaked out. Shadow could have sworn Sonia was given him a look of adoration in her face. His lip quivered at the sight of her for some reason. But wait, he was in disguise for a reason! There was no way he was going to let her know that he liked this kind of music.

"I…" He began, but not before he began to shake uncontrollably, sounding akin to that of a malfunctioning lawn mower. People began to stare at him with a confused look. All the color drained out of him as he was left looking like a piece of paper. Then he fell on top of Scourge, who yelped in surprise.

"Uh…" Sonia stared back at the stranger with a look of confusion. "Amy!" She exclaimed, pointing to the pinkette who was still trying to process what she saw. "How would you like to be my singing partner?!"

"...Sure!" Amy replied back with a smile, as she made her way down to the stage, leaving her green idiot and Shadow on the floor.

Amy and Scourge then went to get ice cream after the show. Amy had a mint chocolate chip flavor while Scourge had strawberry. They even exchanged spoonfuls with one another.

"That sure was a great show, wasn't it Scourge?" Amy asked with a grin.

"Yeah… even if I got thwacked in a face by an edgelord…" Scourge replied, having an ice pack on his head to cover up the comically large bump on his head. Amy responded by pecking his bump with a kiss.

"Oh Shadow, it's ok if it didn't go well-" Amy said as she turned to the black and red hedgehog, who was sitting at a table not too far away from them. His face was connected to the table as he let out a big sigh. A waiter came by with a chocolate sundae.

"...Be quiet…" He said with a huff.

"...Shadow," Amy said in a concerned tone. She picked up his chair and placed him down by their table. The Ultimate Lifeform had a big frown on his face.

"It didn't go as bad! You just got a little nervous, that's all!" Amy said in a reassuring tone.

"Yeah! It's not like you lost your chance to bang Sonic's sister then and there!" Scourge replied with a mischievous giggle… before Amy elbowed him with a glare.

"Maybe you should just tell her that you were actually there?..." Amy started off gently.

",Or maybe I shouldn't even tell her anything at all." Shadow said in a serious tone.

"WHAT?! Why not?!" Amy gawked.

"...She's going to think I'm lame," Shadow replied in a slightly exasperated tone. "She only knows that I'm dark and handsome… not that I like girly pop music as well…" He said with a sigh.

Shadow frowned once more when he heard Scourge erupt into laughter after that last statement. Amy rolled her eyes.

"I'm sure she's still going to like you even after you tell her!" Amy replied in a cheery tone. "Besides, girls like guys who are into girly stuff!"

"Hm? How so?" Shadow inquired.

"...Scourge has a teddy bear named Mr. Stuffykins!" Amy replied with a giggle.

"WHAT?! NO I DON'T!" Scourge said in denial.

Shadow blinked in confusion and looked at the green hedgehog weirdly. That was something new to learn about.

'Well…Scourge is like Sonic so they're both going to be annoying about this…" Shadow explained, before he heard Scourge going "HEY!" in the background.

"...No he's not," Amy said with a slight frown with that first statement. "But my point still stands. I still love Scourge even if he has Mr. Stuffykins. I'm sure Sonia will still love you even if you like girly pop music, especially if it's her own!"

Shadow listened and nodded, though still felt very much embarrassed.

"Maybe I shouldn't even continue on with the relationship at all." Shadow said, causing Amy to spit out some water she was drinking.

"WHAT?!" She shrieked.

"...I just don't think I have the energy to even pursue a relationship in the first place." Shadow replied with a shrug. "Plus… she's related to Sonic."

"...YOU CAN'T JUST CALL OFF THE RELATIONSHIP LIKE THAT! YOU BARELY JUST GOT TO KNOW HER!" Amy exclaimed. "She really REALLY likes you! Didn't you hear all the songs she was singing about early?!"

"Yeah, they were… love songs… right…" Shadow responded slowly.

"YES! She sang those songs because she loves you!" Amy exclaimed. "Sonia is a really nice person! Don't break her heart like that Shadow!"

"But-"

"She was on call with me yesterday night!" Amy explained. "She kept on going on and on about how much she thinks you're really cool!"

"She did?!" Shadow gawked.

"Yup, though I think she was listening to your theme song-"

"...I have a theme song?" He interjected. Amy looked at him with a deadpan expression.

"JUST LISTEN TO ME!" Amy shouted, the volume causing Shadow's ears to move back. He nodded in silence.

"...Don't you even dare try hurting one of MY good friends' feelings just because you don't feel like it, Mister!" Amy said in a stern tone. "That's only something a loser would do, like Sonic!" She said with a slight huff.

Shadow perked up at that last comment. He was nothing like that blue faker. What nerve did Amy comparing himself to Sonic?!

"I'm nothing like Sonic!" He said with a huff.

"Good! Then you better go over there, and tell her how much you love her!" Amy explained.

"But I'm not sure if I love her! At least, not yet…" Shadow replied.

Amy sighed. "Listen… at least just give it a try, Shadow!"

"But I don't wanna!" He said with a slight pout.

"...Do it. Or else I'll tell Sonia about your little "secret".." Amy said with a huff, then with a devious smirk.

Shadow's eyes widened. "...Fine…"

Shadow got up and paid for his ice cream. Amy smiled as she couldn't wait for Sonia and Shadow's relationship to blossom. Seeing her friends happy and in love made Amy happy. Amy looked around for her green boyfriend who wandered off a bit doing Gaia knows what. Eventually she found him.

"...SCOURGE! STOP PISSING IN THE FOUNTAIN! WE'RE IN PUBLIC!" She shrieked. The green hedgehog did not respond as Amy just heard a 'rezip'

"..What? A man's gotta do what's a man's gotta do~" Scourge replied with a shrug. Amy growled slightly before she calmed down and went home with Scourge.

"...I love you!" She smiled, nuzzling against his chest.

"Love ya too, Ames." Scourge replied back with a toothy grin. "...Can ya tell me more about Stripes' secret…?"

"Of course!" She replied with a mischievous smirk. "But don't tell anyone~..." She said, as her voice trailed off as they left.

Shadow teleported back into the stadium. By now everyone had left and that meant Sonia was left polishing her keytar. It was only just the two of them. Sonia felt a bit uneasy as she sensed a looming presence nearby. She got the slight spooks when she saw the trench coat wearing stranger just a few feet away from her.

"Oh! You're that guy I picked out from the crowd!" She said with a grin. "What brings you here?"

The "stranger" did not say anything as he got closer to her. Sonia felt a bit unease when he was approaching.

"...pretty…" He squeaked out.

"I'm… pretty?" Sonia repeated. She felt her cheeks heat up at the compliment. "Why thank you, but I'm currently seeing someone!" Sonia said with a smile as hearts floated around her. "We just went on our first date but… I may consider him my boyfriend already!"

"BOYFRIEND?!" Shadow shouted, before he covered his mouth once more.

"Yes~, I just hope he's ok with that," Sonia said. "Although, there's something about your voice that seems familiar…."

Shadow froze up and sweated bullets as Sonia squinted her eyes and tried to see through his sunglasses. She just couldn't put her finger on what was up with this mysterious stranger…

"...Are you Shadow's half brother like he mentioned?" She asked.

Crickets chirped as Shadow stood still and Sonia looked up at him with a confused look.

"Um… sir-" Sonia began.

"CHAOS CONTROL!" He exclaimed.

And so Shadow left the premises, leaving the magenta hedgehog confused once more.

"Huh… he even chaos controls too! How cool is that!" Sonia said with a smile.

Over at Team Dark's house, Omega was heard in the kitchen making food for Shadow and Rouge. He had a comically large chef's hat on as he flipped over an omelet. He heard rummaging in a cupboard as he switched one of his hands into a missile and locked onto said cupboard. Shadow opened the door with wide eyes.

"...Omega?! Are you making food again?!" Shadow exclaimed.

"SHADOW. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Omega asked.

"...I just got home from uh…. a place…" The black and red hedgehog responded.

"NOTED. WERE YOU MEETING UP WITH YOUR FEMALE COMPANION?" The robot asked.

"My what-"

"ROUGE CALLS IT A GIRLFRIEND." Omega responded.

"SONIA IS NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!" Shadow shouted. He then covered his mouth and blushed. "...WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?!" He exclaimed, running to his room.

He covered his face with a pillow as he let out a groan. Sonia was not his girlfriend. No matter how many times a pink hedgehog or a robot would say it. He heard his phone go off, and immediately checked to see if it was Sonia texting him. It was to his disappointment when he saw it was just a message from Amy saying something about how Rouge owed her 50 bucks or whatever. He groaned on his bed.

"...Why do I want to see more of her?!" Shadow asked out loud. "What is this feeling inside? HOW AM I NOT DYING?!" He exclaimed.

"...Is this really love like what Rouge and Amy said…" Shadow said, contemplating. His phone rang and he picked it up when it read "Sonia".

"Hello!" They both said in unison. Shadow's heart skipped a beat when he heard her voice. Sonia giggled.

"I just called to say how are you doing~?" Sonia asked in a cheery tone through the phone.

"...I'm doing… good…" He said.

"Oh, that's great!" She beamed.

Silence overtook the two hogs, the both of them did not know what to say.

"...Say… how does… another date sound?" Shadow began gently. He was surprised to hear Sonia's squeals.

"Another date sounds PERFECT!" Sonia replied happily.

"Alright… see you tomorrow…" Shadow said.

"See you tomorrow, handsome~" Sonia said in a flirty tone.

The call ended and Shadow was left staring at his ceiling and had a blush on his face.

He would be able to see Sonia tomorrow, how great was that! He grabbed his blanket and turned to his side. He stared at the night sky from his window. seeing two bright, twinkling stars next to each other.

"Oh Maria… and Professor…" He began. "I just hope I'm making the right choice…" He said with a half smile.
