Author's Note: Here we are, the second part of the multi-part season finale of "The Fairly Odd Winx Club" that retells Episodes 119-126 of 'Winx Club' Season 1.
Now before we begin, I just want to say that I'm still active for now because I haven't been updating my other stories lately or recently because I'm still updating the crossover and that my mind was filled with a lot of...so much...other stuff going on. I know that we will be at the end of 2024 and we'll jump right into the new year in 2025, so I may or may not be sure to finish it in time during December and/or New Year's in January, but still, I must remind you that I still continue to work really hard again on this epic season finale and my other stories sometime very soon while taking writing breaks, resting, and recharging my batteries.
So... Consider this chapter my early/late Christmas gift from yours truly to you readers and followers for now.
Anyways, I must remind and warn some of you that might be the longest chapter I've done yet (or not) because of this one scene that I've been rough drafting for so long, one that will leave you in tears, either happy ones or sad ones. And trust me on this one, it will blow your mind and maybe blowing you away. After all, I did say that there'll be some tearjerking moments.
For some of you fans of either or both shows out there who are reading this crossover, next year in 2025 is and will be the 24th anniversary of 'The Fairly OddParents (2001)', the 1st anniversary of 'The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish (2024)', and the 21st anniversary of 'Winx Club (2004)'. Just wanted to let you know for now and hope that this crossover I've done, that you've enjoyed reading so far, helps celebrate them both...for now.
Also, 'The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish' is currently now on Netflix, so go ahead, hurry, and watch it if we ever want a Season 2 of it, that is. And be on the lookout for the upcoming Winx Club reboot, which might show up in Fall 2025. Plus, there's this fan-made re-telling 6-book epic based on the original 'Winx Club' show called "The Winx Chronicles" by J. L. Martone that rewrites the story of Seasons 1-3 and the first movie. Go check it out for more details.
Anyways, enjoy the chapter...and Happy Holidays. Any and all comments (on the story) are welcome.
At Alfea, the battleships from Red Fountain landed in the courtyard as Saladin and Codatorta approached Faragonda, who let the Red Fountain students in.
"Thank you, Faragonda. The situation is critical," Saladin told Faragonda with bad news. "Red Fountain has been destroyed."
"The Magic Dimension's fortress lays in ruins," Codatorta replied. "Their magical arsenal is astronomical. We had to withdraw. At least here, everyone is safe and sound.
Faragonda nodded in agreement. "Yes, but unfortunately, I fear this war is just beginning."
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the chasm made by the snow monster under Icy's command, Bloom and Timmy Turner were unharmed as one of them got up and dusted some snow off. The two were underneath a pile of snow.
"Pink-hatted Timmy, are you alright?" Bloom asked.
"I'm fine," Timmy Turner replied, getting himself up.
"But—"
"I said I'm fine!"
"Well, we were lucky. We're still in one piece."
"Where are we?" Timmy Turner asked.
Bloom looked up to see only small cracks of light, as did Timmy Turner. "We're at the bottom of a crevice. We need to find a way out of here."
Bloom and Timmy Turner cautiously descended through the ice a while later. They walked along the bottom of the chasm until they reached the castle corridors and entered a room covered in ice.
"This is so weird," Bloom said, sliding her hand across the table. "It looks like it was ravaged before being covered with ice. But I have a strange feeling…that I've been here before."
"You do?" Timmy Turner asked in confusion.
Suddenly, flashes of memories came back to Bloom as she had a vision of what the rooms used to look like – extravagant hallways, the dining room, and the grand reception hall.
"This… This was my home," Bloom said in surprise. "This is the Royal Palace of Sparks!"
"Too bad it's all wrecked now!" Timmy Turner replied. "And Bloom, I know you're dying to get your Dragon Flame on, but can we be a little bit more mindful of our surroundings?"
"If I truly am the princess of Domino, it means this was my home!"
"I'm just saying, work smarter, not harder."
Suddenly, as Bloom and Timmy Turner continued onward and entered what was supposedly the castle's courtyard, the ground shook again, and the two fell through.
But just then, something strange happened. Bloom and Timmy Turner thought they heard familiar voices from above.
"Is it an earthquake?"
"I don't think so."
"It's the castle's courtyard."
"Hey! Look! It's Bloom! And Pink-hatted Timmy!"
Bloom and Timmy Turner saw the other Winx girls from above.
"Bloom!" Stella yelled.
"We're so glad to see you!" Flora cried.
"Hey!" Bloom yelled back. "Get down here! There's something we need to show you!"
As Stella, Flora, Musa, and Tecna climbed down and joined Bloom and Timmy Turner, they told the two how they ditched the snow monster and how Stella's powers and Tecna's concentric dome helped melt the ice off the Royal Palace.
"We thought we'd never see you again," Stella said.
"Oh, I'm fine. We're all fine, really," Timmy Turner replied, being a little sarcastic. "But I'm touched by your concern."
Everyone looked around at the castle, and it didn't look good as Timmy Turner continued, "See? Those Ancestral Witches get around!"
"It's a total mess, I know," Bloom replied. "The Ancestral Witches really wrecked the place and destroyed everything…didn't they?"
Musa put her hand on Bloom's shoulder, reassuring her. "Don't worry. The Trix will never do this to the Magic Dimension because we won't let them."
"I hope you're right," Bloom said.
"The underground hallways haven't been damaged," Tecna said.
"Perhaps the three ancient witches didn't know they existed," Flora said. "It must have been protected by some potent magic, like the Dragon Flame. Let's hope nothing is lurking down here."
"Well, in that case," Bloom said. "I think we should all go down there."
The Winx girls and Timmy Turner went down the underground hallways a moment later.
"Looks like nobody's been down here in a long time," Bloom said as they followed Tecna's directions, thanks to her small wire-framed, digital display of the castle.
"Flora's right," Musa replied. "Let's hope that nothing lurks down here."
"Well, no footstep detected," Tecna said, still holding the digital display. "I don't detect any other life forms inside the castle walls."
"Actually," Bloom spoke up. "I heard the voices before."
"They were probably some trapped voices from the past," Stella replied, suggesting.
Suddenly, an unfamiliar voice appeared. "Bloom!"
"Did you hear that?" Bloom asked. "The voice!"
"Okay, that doesn't sound like a trapped voice!" Stella said.
"Uh, guys," Timmy Turner said, feeling unease. "That didn't sound like a trapped voice to me either!"
"What trapped voice?" Flora asked in confusion. "I didn't hear anything."
"Like I said, I'm not picking up any other life forms," Tecna replied.
"Well, guess again!" Timmy Turner said as he pointed at something bright and glowing. "Look!"
As if on cue, a bright glow that Timmy Turner was pointing to filled the entire hallway as it slowly faded into an apparition of Daphne, who appeared before the group in a golden gown.
"Welcome, Bloom," Daphne said in a melodious voice. "I am Daphne, and I have been waiting for you."
"Daphne!" Bloom said as she suddenly remembered who she was. "You're my sister?"
"You know her?" Musa asked Bloom, who nodded in answer.
"She's beautiful," Stella said.
"We meet at last, Bloom," Daphne said. "Please, we must hurry. Follow me."
As she turned and floated away, Daphne led the Winx girls and Timmy Turner further down the long corridor.
Timmy Turner turned to both Daphne and the Winx girls for confirmation. "Whoa, whoa! Time out! That is Daphne?! The same Daphne who helped Bloom save our skin at Cloud Tower? The same Daphne Bloom kept having dreams about every night? The same Daphne who brought Bloom here to Earth, which I saved countless times before I came into her little world in Gardenia? And everybody's okay with this?!"
"Yeah, she's the one from my dream," Bloom replied.
"Maybe she's like your fairy godmother," Stella suggested.
"I seriously doubt that," Timmy Turner smirked at Stella, then he quickly noticed Daphne flickering in and out of view. "Hey, you okay over there?"
Sensing Timmy Turner's question, Daphne answered, "I'm okay, but we don't have much time. I was once the nymph of Lake Roccaluce. But it is in this castle that we were born. Bloom, you will discover your origins, your past, and a great secret. I know the Dragon Flame was stolen, and you were right to come here to look for it."
"Will you show me where it is?" Bloom asked.
"Yes, but understand the Dragon Flame is not hidden here on Sparks," Daphne replied.
"WHAT?!" The Winx gasped.
"Are you kidding me?!" Timmy Turner yelled.
"It's not?" Bloom asked sadly.
"No, but I have something to show you and help you," Daphne replied as everyone reached a set of ornate doors. She opened the door to reveal a room filled with treasure. "This here is Domino's royal treasure room of Sparks. Do come in. Everything in this room is yours, Bloom."
Bloom couldn't believe it. "Wow! This is all mine?"
Daphne nodded. "It's yours."
They were amazed as the other Winx girls and Timmy Turner entered the treasure room.
"Wow!" Flora exclaimed in amazement.
"Hey, Stella," Musa said. "Looks like Bloom is richer than you."
"I'll know who to ask when I'm strapped for cash," Stella replied.
"This is quite astonishing," Techna said.
"So, this is the royal treasure room of Sparks?" Timmy Turner asked. "And Cosmo expected a little more treasure in a treasure room."
"If Bloom can live large, then this is what I call bling-bling," Musa replied.
"Still, It's my kind of room!" Stella said, smiling.
Daphne led everyone to a display case holding a crown.
"It's the crown I saw at the bottom of the lake," Bloom said, recognizing it.
"Yes, it is your crown," Daphne replied. "Take it and listen carefully. It will show you your story."
Bloom slowly reached the crown and picked it up as images suddenly came into her mind and eyes. She can see what Domino was like before it was destroyed and other visions of the past.
"When you were born, Bloom, the planet Domino and its kingdom, Sparks, was still filled with pure magic," Daphne said, coming from Bloom's mind. "Your destiny has always been to be the keeper of the Dragon Flame, the power that keeps the Magic Dimension safe from the forces of evil. But then, the three Ancestral Witches, the first creatures of evil known to the dimension, came and tried to steal the power of the Dragon Flame and failed. However, they did succeed in destroying our home. They took over the entire planet and ruined everything. What was once the most magical place in the universe became…lifeless. The witches eventually overpowered me, but I saved your life before they could."
Bloom then saw herself as a baby being saved by Daphne, who opened a portal and gently placed her into it.
"Our father, the King, called on me to save you and to guard the Dragon Flame. I took you and the flame and brought you to the last place anyone would look for a magical creature - I delivered you to Earth. It was where your destiny was waiting, a destiny that would nurture you, care for you, and prepare you to one day return to Domino and reclaim your throne. Meanwhile, the King and Queen chose to go into exile to grieve, convinced that they'd lost us, their daughters."
After the visions ended, Bloom's eyes were in tears as she fell to her knees, clutching and embracing the crown. "My mother. My father."
"Now you have seen the truth," Daphne said.
"I can't believe it. I messed everything up."
The others looked on sadly as Musa muttered, "Bloom…"
"Geesh," Timmy Turner said, sadly rolling his eyes for a bit. "And I thought my childhood was crummy!"
Daphne knelt beside Bloom. "It's not your fault. You did what you could. You've been shown the shocking truth."
"But all of this happened so I could protect the Dragon Flame," Bloom replied, wiping tears. "It was responsibility, and I let the Trix take it. I didn't protect it at all."
"You will get the Dragon Flame back, but you must be strong," Daphne said. "It belongs to you. It is your destiny."
Bloom nodded. "Yes."
And with that, Daphne smiled and faded away.
"Bloom, are you alright?" Stella asked with worry.
"I'm fine, Stella," Bloom reassured her friends. "Actually, I'm more than fine. I feel a little bit stronger."
"The memories triggered by the crown, along with the residual magic in the treasure room, should have re-ignited your powers," Tecna said.
"Now the Trix are really in for it!" Stella exclaimed.
"Don't celebrate too soon," Flora halted. "We still haven't found the Dragon Flame. Where are we supposed to look for it?"
"I don't know, but we have to go back to Alfea as soon as possible," Bloom said to her Winx friends. "I haven't got my powers back, but…we'll find it. I know we will." Then, she noticed Timmy Turner looking a bit upset and turning away.
Bloom approached Timmy Turner with a concerned and worried look. "Pink-hatted Timmy? You…good?"
"Yeah, sure, I'm fine!" Timmy Turner replied, sounding upset. "Never better."
"Okay, definitely not good," Musa muttered to the others.
Timmy Turner wasted no time. He was getting out, all right – out of the royal palace and out of Domino.
"Where are you going?!" Tecna asked.
"Dragon Flame or no Dragon Flame," Timmy Turner said. "I ain't staying here in this place for another minute!"
"Pink-hatted Timmy! Wait!" Bloom called out. "Hold on a second!"
Timmy Turner suddenly turned to Bloom and shouted, "Why?! So that my fairies can be locked up somewhere while we all freeze to death during the Trix's big-time takeover?"
"No!" Bloom pleaded. "Of course not! Just –"
"Just what, Bloom?!"
"I don't know. Just breathe."
"Every minute we waste – We don't have time to breathe!"
"Pink-hatted Timmy, please, you need to stay calm."
"After what the Trix did to us? How long will my fairies survive because of those witches?!"
Just then, Musa and the others stepped in. "We understand how you're feeling, but your personal vendetta isn't getting us anywhere. If you hadn't been blinded by your emotions and recklessness, we could've saved ourselves from that snow monster."
"At least I didn't screw up," Timmy Turner said angrily. "I just underestimated the big guy! Maybe I was too reckless and overconfident. But, of course, I was a little bit of both! I mean, have you ever met me? I'm me! I was, am, and used to be a big deal!"
"Well, so was I," Stella said.
"Do you even care about our mission at all?" Tecna asked Timmy Turner. "Or do you really believe your own hype that much?"
"I AM THE HYPE!" Timmy Turner shouted. "And besides, why bother? I'm probably too stupid to understand any of this, right?! Dangerous mission or not, I'm saving my godparents even if it kills me."
"Why do you care about them so much?" Bloom asked with worry.
"Because I just do!"
"Why, why do you?!"
"BECAUSE I WAS A MISERABLE KID, OKAY?!"
Everything suddenly went silent by Timmy Turner's outburst as the Winx girls were now shocked. Once Timmy Turner realized what he had just said in front of them, he covered his mouth and fell on his knees while trying to cover his face and looked away in shame.
"What do you mean…you were a miserable kid?" Bloom asked sadly.
"…Forget it," Timmy Turner said, embarrassed.
"Timmy…"
"I said forget it!"
Bloom continued staring at Timmy Turner in surprise. "If you don't wanna talk about it, don't talk about it. You wanna push me away, push me away. You wanna tell me and my friends that we don't know what we're doing… I know we don't! I have no idea why I thought I could belong in Magix and why I'm the keeper of the Dragon Flame. You were right. But... Alfea and all of Magix are in danger. So, I am here now. We all are. It's just me, the Winx,…and you. And I want to help save your fairies, but I can't do it…if you won't let me. If you won't let us."
For several moments of silence, Timmy Turner's shoulders slumped. He just needed some time to process. The Winx girls were about to turn away when Timmy Turner's groan of dismay and voice stopped them. "Wait!"
Meanwhile, at the dungeons of Cloud Tower, Riven was in his cell, coming to terms with himself and his mistakes. Just recently, he had been betrayed by the Trix and has been locked up ever since.
"How stupid I've been!" Riven said in shame. "I betrayed my friends, and I'm all alone! They'll never forgive me. But… I don't need them to forgive me. I'll take care of my mistakes by myself!"
Just then, a voice appeared. "Wow! Riven got betrayed by the Trix?! Who saw this one coming?"
Surprised and startled, Riven turned around to see Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof in the same murky cell as him. He just didn't realize he was expecting company. "Huh?! Who are you? Did the Trix imprison you here as well?"
"Well, Cosmo," Cosmo introduced himself, Wanda, and Poof to Riven. "That's Wanda and Poof."
"And we're…fairies!" Cosmo and Wanda said in unison.
"Fairies?!" Riven repeated in confusion. "But I…I thought Alfea already had—"
"Oh, right, sorry!" Wanda apologized. "We're Fairy World fairies, actually."
"This…this is impossible!" Riven said in surprise.
"I know it is," Wanda said, "but here we are!" She then turned to Cosmo and Poof. "Now, what do we do? We're locked in the creepiest, snake-and-rat-infested dungeons of Cloud Tower, and who knows what happened to Timmy."
"Wait!" Riven said, hearing the mention of that name, but was confused. "Is it your Timmy or my Timmy?"
"Our Timmy," Cosmo replied. "The one with the silly pink hat. We're his fairy godparents!"
"His what?! I don't know what that kid did to have fairies like yourselves, but…how?"
"Well, according to Da Rules," Wanda explained. "A child only gets assigned fairy godparents if they are truly in need of help."
"And boy, did Timmy ever need our help," Cosmo added.
Riven was intrigued. "When was that?"
"For as long as he can remember…," Wanda answered as she, Cosmo, and Poof told Riven the whole story…
"I wasn't just an average kid," Timmy Turner told the Winx girls, telling them his backstory. "I was one of the kids that get assigned fairy godparents if they're genuinely in need of help. All my life, I've been an average kid that no one understands…all because of my parents. They, uh… They tricked me with a lie and stuck me with the worst babysitter ever. I lost two things that happened that day – my enrichment and my childhood."
Bloom and the other Winx girls looked at each other with sad looks while Timmy Turner struggled to control his emotions as he went on.
"Every time there was something cool in my life, every dang time, it gets ruined! By my babysitter, my parents, everything!"
"And that was how his life went straight down the pooper," Cosmo told Riven in the dungeon.
"For the past year, Timmy had been tortured every day of his life, and he was so miserable," Wanda continued.
"I was miserable because of my own parents, who always ditch me at any chance they get," Timmy Turner said to the Winx. "They sometimes care more about having fun and seeing the world…and less about me. It doesn't even bother them that they lied to me, their only son, all the time! I even saw how they wanted a daughter back when I time-traveled."
"Wait, you time-traveled?!" Tecna exclaimed in surprise. "Impossible!"
"Oh, now I see everything," Stella replied.
"Don't interrupt now, please?" Musa told the others.
"But…," Timmy Turner continued as he looked down sadly. "I guess I had the right – every right – to be mad at them. Still, I only got this way because my parents raised me, even though they were never around…or couldn't help themselves. It's like, hypothetically, they took one look and decided they did not want me and threw me aside... like I was nothing."
Looking back to what Mike and Vanessa told Timmy Turner back on Earth, Bloom's heart ached. What a terrible feeling it was to know that Timmy Turner's own parents had just up and abandoned him, even if it meant sending him away to be someone else's problem.
Thinking back to what Mike and Vanessa said, Bloom now understood what her Earth parents meant to tell Timmy Turner.
"We just hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, uh… Your parents are duping you."
"Timmy, we know you're upset, and you're trying to deny it, but you must understand that sometimes parents have crazy yet awful intentions of not wanting children."
"But it wasn't just my babysitter and my parents," Timmy Turner said, continuing his story. "I had to deal with a lot of other stuff and people in my life – crazy, nut-job teachers, bullies, rich kids, popular kids, unrequited crushes, all that jazz! And nothing I ever do goes right for me, no matter how hard I try or what I do. Every day NEVER works out for me! Somehow, I found this magical 8 ball. It gave me… Cosmo and Wanda, my fairy godparents."
"And that's how we got assigned to be Timmy's fairy godparents," Wanda finished the story to Riven.
"So, you've been watching over Pink-hatted Timmy ever since?" Riven summarized. "And you grant his every wish?"
"Yeah," Cosmo nodded. "No matter how selfish, irresponsible, or horribly dangerous. The kid's got a lot of problems."
"And not every wish," Wanda added. "There are rules."
"We've had so many adventures together," Timmy Turner continued. "I met aliens, superheroes, popstars, every other magical being I've ever met, and I've been through planets and stars you can only dream of and imagine. We even had a fairy baby we named Poof. I saved the Earth and Fairy World several times and on multiple occasions with their help. I even became the rare kid who managed to not reveal the existence of my fairies for more than a year because if I did, they'd have to go away forever."
"So, that's why…," Flora muttered sadly.
Something made Bloom and the Winx girls click as Timmy Turner continued on. All the things Timmy Turner had been through, all the past wishes he made, and the past shenanigans he had pulled… It was all to impress everyone, including his old friends from back home, getting the love and recognition he deserved while hiding his real problems…or something more.
"But the one thing I learned is pledging my life to this secrecy over the years…is that I've always made a mess of things – with myself, my life, and my share of lies," Timmy Turner said. "I admit everything was coming up Turner…until I was forced to be moved and transferred to your Gardenia, and I had to leave everything I loved in Dimmsdale. But then suddenly I realized… I was just sick and tired of being treated like a punching bag. That's why I never told you…"
Timmy Turner sighed once more. Should he tell Bloom and the other Winx girls that he'd never wanted to move to Gardenia in the first place? That he'd never told them that he had magical fairy godparents? "That's why I never looked back, and…"
Finally understanding this, Bloom finished the sentence sadly. "You never told us you had fairy godparents."
Timmy Turner finally looked at Bloom, and the realization and revelation made her and her friends feel sorry for him.
"And you're still thinking about going back?"
"NO!" Timmy Turner scoffed. "I mean, yes? Ughhhhh! It's complicated, okay?! You have no idea what it's like to have nobody around to talk to, that nobody that cares if you're alive or dead. Every day, you feel like you're worthless, and there's a void in your life, that you're all alone in this big, empty world!"
"Why didn't you say something?" Bloom asked sadly.
"Because it's not exactly some kind of simple conversation starter," Timmy Turner replied. "All I know is that I was moved out of Dimmsdale and into Gardenia; I barely survived dealing with ogres, trolls, monsters, and teenage witches while visiting the Magic Dimension several times, figured out that I can't go back to my old home in Dimmsdale because I was tricked into exile and banishment while you're some lost princess who survived a doomed planet that we're now currently sitting on, got my fairies kidnapped by the Trix who wants your Dragon Flame powers, only to have you and your friends telling me to calm down, which I can't because I'm PLAIN OLD TIMMY TURNER?!"
Everything went silent again as Timmy Turner lowered his head and turned away.
"Did Pink-hatted Timmy say his name out loud?" Musa asked.
"Yeah, and it kinda echoed a bit," Tecna replied.
Timmy Turner groaned in frustration. "Of course, you wouldn't understand because I bet life must've been soooo easy for you and the Winx."
"Well, I'm sure it was pretty difficult living in an old miserable life of yours," Stella replied, smirking.
"It was."
"I'm sure."
"All right, then. And please don't talk anymore, okay? It's only gonna upset me."
"Look, Pink-hatted Timmy, we're just trying to help, okay?"
"Oh, really? Do you really think I'm a tagalong on this mission?"
"You know it."
"Then stop bossing me around."
The other Winx girls giggled as Flora whispered, "Pink-hatted Timmy certainly has a mind of his own."
"Yeah, well, I hate that," Stella replied, making herself and Timmy Turner stick their tongues out at each other.
Quickly, Bloom changed the subject as she asked Timmy Turner, "Do you think you're gonna miss it?"
"Miss what? Stella's smirking and fashion sense?" Timmy Turner guessed, making Stella completely appalled.
"No, Dimmsdale."
"Nope."
"But it was your home."
"It was just a place I once lived. End of story."
"Well, you must plan on making Gardenia your new home, right?"
"What is it with you and homes? Yours was a dead planet on ice, thanks to three ancient witches! Meanwhile, you got adopted and raised on my home planet, Earth, which I saved a couple of times."
"Says the pink-hatted kid with magical fairy godparents," Stella said. "It must've been nice of you to have a new roof over your head and a cozy bed, which is much more than that when I lived in Solaria."
"You're not actually trying to compare yourself to what I endured, are you?"
"We're just saying that you, kid, don't even corner the market of unhappy childhoods."
"I don't think we said that, Stella," Musa said, confused, while Flora nodded in agreement.
Timmy Turner walked up to the Winx girls. "There are a lot of certain things you girls don't know. You know? About me. About how unlucky and how rough I've had it!"
"What, you ran out of those 'comic books' and 'video games' a few times?"
"I mean about my old life!"
"In that old hometown of yours?"
"Are you kidding?! I used to have everything in Dimmsdale, but now… I'm just GLAD I was kicked out. And now, here I am, sparing you my long, boring sob story about my entire life in Dimmsdale…that doesn't have a happy beginning or an ending. Story of my life, huh?"
Stella could not believe the audacity of this pink-hatted kid. "You… You are the most self-centered, ungrateful, impossible, insufferable—"
Timmy Turner was now right in Stella's face. "At least I'm not repressed!"
"Repressed?!" Stella yelled right back. "I'll show you repressed!"
Stella and Timmy Turner were about to throw an enormous handful of snowballs at each other when Bloom stopped them.
"Okay, that's enough!" Bloom yelled as she then turned to Timmy Turner and spoke to him. "Look, I know we got off on the wrong foot."
"You think?!" Timmy Turner shouted, interrupting.
"I'm just thinking this out loud," Bloom continued. "But…have you ever considered that all your past adventures and wishes are like a big distraction from your real problems – like how you feel about yourself?"
Timmy Turner looked at Bloom, thinking. "You mean how I'm being treated like a tiny, meaningless speck despite my flaws?"
"Well, that…and you had a silly pink hat," Stella said, but Tecna stopped her. "Ow!"
"It's just… Why do reality and fate sometimes have to be so cruel and harsh on me?! I deserve better! I mean, I never got a girlfriend, I'm not all smart because of my graded Fs, and I feel so…so… Ugh, I don't know what to think!"
"Well, it is hard to believe," Musa replied.
Timmy Turner shook his head in frustration. "What was wrong with me?! I spend all my life and time making wishes out of the obligations of my everyday problems, and this is what I get?! Why did I get sent away and kicked out of Dimmsdale to see that?! And what's more? Nobody seemed to care that I was gone – not my friends, parents, or even Trixie! UGH, such an idiot!"
"Yeah, no kidding," Stella said. "When we first met, we thought you were kind of a show-off."
The Winx girls stared at Stella, unamused. "We?"
"Okay, maybe it's just me."
"Whatever!" Timmy Turner yelled. "Why did I ever think my old life in Dimmsdale would've been so great, anyway? Why did I even want to go back? Look at all the cool stuff I've done after I came to Gardenia. Fighting an ogre and a troll? That was in Gardenia, not Dimmsdale. And it was amazing!" He then turned to the Winx girls. "Meeting you girls? Amazing!"
Bloom, Stella, Flora, Tecna, and Musa were flattered and touched.
"But still…," Timmy Turner continued sadly. "I endured so much that I can always count on my godparents to be there for me…because I'm their fairy godkid. And—"
Suddenly, Timmy Turner was interrupted by a hug from Bloom. Fighting tears, he hugged her back as the other Winx girls watched.
"I'm sorry… My head's a mess…," Timmy Turner said, catching his breath and hugging Bloom back while trying to hold back his tears. "I don't know what to do anymore… I feel so lost. How can you still be friends with a kid like me? Why would you want that on your group of friends? A group that…I actually can't help but kinda enjoy being on, all things considered. At least this way, I'll go down and out knowing I'm still the same average kid no one understands."
The Winx girls looked at Timmy Turner in surprise.
"Timmy…," Bloom said. "You're not just an average kid."
"Yeah, you've already been very clear about that," Timmy Turner replied.
But Bloom wasn't done. "You're…more than that. You're the reason! You're the reason why I push myself so hard to learn so much about my powers. And if it wasn't for you and your fairy godparents, I never would've learned about my past and realized how connected I am with the friends I made, the parents I had, everything. And the ones I'm most connected to were the Winx, my Earth parents, Sky,…and you."
Timmy Turner slowly turned to Bloom and faced her in surprise as she continued, "But if anything happens to me and my friends, I want you and your fairies to run. No matter what happens. Promise me."
Timmy Turner stared at Bloom's sad eyes and her smile until he sighed. "…Fine."
The two hugged again while the other Winx girls looked on as Stella said, "There! See? That's all better now." She then noticed that the other Winx girls were staring at her again. "What? I'm just saying it doesn't change anything."
"Actually, it changes everything," Musa replied. "Because Pink-hatted Timmy just admitted…he loves us."
"I-I-I did not," Timmy Turner said in surprise, blushing in embarrassment.
"Of course you did," Flora replied. "You said you loved us."
"I just said I enjoyed your company."
"That is the literal definition of love," Tecna said.
"Okay, like. I'll give you like," Timmy Turner stammered. "Can…can we just move on?"
"I agreed," Stella said, nodding. "That's about all the love-fest I can take. But, off-topic, what about all the fabulous treasures of the castle?!"
"Forget about the treasure already!" Timmy Turner shouted.
"Give it up, Pink-hatted Timmy," Musa said. "I think Stella has got her eyes on some bling…"
The Winx started to laugh for a bit until Bloom spoke up. "Okay, I'm pretty sure we've all caught our breath. Now…what say we go pay a visit to those witches?"
"Yes!" Everyone cheered.
Meanwhile, back at the dungeons of Cloud Tower, Riven had just finished listening to Cosmo and Wanda's stories and plans to escape when a voice appeared, "It's useless, boy! It won't be easy for you."
Riven, Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof looked to see Miss Griffin in another cell, along with the other Cloud Tower students.
"The Trix imprisoned you, too?" Riven asked the headmistress.
"Their new powers surprised us all," Miss Griffin replied. "Not to mention a humiliating situation."
"Well, we needed to get out of here and find Timmy," Wanda replied. "I mean, our Timmy."
"Sorry to tease a rescue, but you're safer in here and out of the way," Riven told them while picking a strong lock with an old nail and successfully unlocking the door. "What did I say? I'm a wiz of lock breaking!"
"I thought you were a Specialist," Cosmo said, dumbfounded.
Riven was about to open Miss Griffin's cell, but the headmistress stopped him. "Don't bother! This lock is protected by a potent spell! Now go!"
Left with no choice, Riven turned and ran further into the halls with Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof behind him.
"I thought I told you guys to stay put," Riven said.
"Well, we would," Cosmo began to speak.
"But we're gonna poof to Timmy's side and help him," Wanda added.
"Yeah, but do you know where he is now?!"
"Well… No," Wanda sheepishly admitted.
"On the planet Domino," Cosmo answered.
"Cosmo, that was a rhetorical question!"
"And I gave Riven a rhetorical answer."
Riven sighed as they continued onward. "Well, wherever Pink-hatted Timmy is, I hope your godkid survives the experience."
The Winx Club and Timmy Turner walked out of the castle and into the freezing cold landscape as Flora told Bloom, "You know, it's been a while since I've seen you this spunky."
"Yeah," Musa agreed. "I was wondering what happened to the old Bloom."
"Me too!" Bloom replied. "Now that I've discovered my past, I still feel…"
Just then, before Bloom could finish her sentence, everyone's happiness was shortlived because the snow monster had appeared, watching the Winx girls and Timmy Turner from the distance with a growl.
"Girls, our furry friend is back," Stella said as the snow monster roared and brought some company in the form of skittering crab-like ice creatures called Goldums. "And he brought his posse."
"Doesn't he think he's big enough?" Musa asked.
"Those ice crabs can freeze us for sure!" Flora said.
Stella twirled her scepter. "You're all ready?"
"Magic Winx!" Musa, Flora, and Tecna exclaimed in unison as they flew up to join Stella and transformed into their fairy forms, zooming toward the horde of Goldums.
"They've launched their assault," Flora said.
"There's, like, an army of them," Musa replied. "Come on, girls! Let's get rid of them."
The Winx girls tried to fight off the Goldums with their powers, but there were so many of them that they became slightly overwhelmed.
"Girls! Get in quick!" Timmy Turner shouted as he and Bloom brought the rest of the Winx girls inside the castle.
"HA! That ought to keep them busy!" Timmy Turner said as Bloom and Stella closed the massive doors of the castle. They were slammed shut and locked, but the Goldums bashed it against the doors from the outside, and they began to crack. "Oh, come on!"
"We gotta move now!" Tecna said.
The Winx and Timmy Turner moved deeper into the castle as they ran toward the hall. But unfortunately, several Goldums were already everywhere, surrounding the group.
"They're everywhere!" Timmy Turner shouted as he tried his best to protect himself, Bloom, and even Stella from the Goldums while Musa, Flora, and Tecna used their powers to fight back.
But just then, one of the Goldums was heading straight for Bloom to attack as Stella and Timmy Turner yelled in unison, "Bloom!"
The Goldum leaped into the air to attack Bloom when suddenly, someone sliced it in half…with a blue sword in hand.
Bloom couldn't believe who it was in surprise. "Sky!"
"Hi, Bloom," said Sky.
Brandon and Specialist Timmy joined in and came down from the glass roof.
"Don't worry," Brandon said. "We're here!"
"We'll get out of this," Sky said.
Timmy Turner rolled his eyes. "Of course you are."
After the Goldums were wiped out by the Specialists and the Winx, the castle shook as the snow monster appeared and attacked them.
"How are we supposed to beat this guy?" Specialist Timmy asked. "He's too big for us!"
Stella smiled. "All right, everybody, time to pull our efforts!"
With the combined power of Tecna's Static Sphere, Stella's scepter, Musa's Sonic Blast, and Flora's flowers, the snow monster was defeated as it landed in the deepest snow, out cold.
"Yeah!" Timmy Turner exclaimed. "And the snow monster booty has been kicked!"
A moment later, the Winx Club, Timmy Turner, and the Red Fountain Specialists gathered near the Red Fountain aircraft.
"You guys saved us," Stella said, hugging Brandon.
"We had to," Brandon replied, looking at Stella shyly as he hugged her back. "You look good."
"But how did you find out about our mission and managed to get to Domino?" Tecna asked the Specialists.
"Yeah, who told you we were here?" Stella asked as well.
"We were informed by Faragonda," Brandon answered. "Unfortunately, the situation has gotten more serious!"
"What do you mean?"
"The Trix attacked and destroyed Red Fountain."
Everyone was shocked.
"You mean…you guys also had to escape?" Bloom asked with worry.
Sky nodded. "Yes! Thanks to the Trix's new powers and their invincible army, Red Fountain had been essentially destroyed. All the Specialists, including us, got away just in time and escaped, taking refuge in Alfea. Then, I spoke with Professor Palladium, who told me you were here, so he opened a portal for us, but we were unable to find you. Plus, we also added a special warp drive to the aircraft to enable interdimensional travel." He then turned to Bloom. "I'm just glad we were able to find you."
"But Sky here never gave up," Brandon said. "He just wouldn't stop, no matter what. All Sky wanted to do was help Bloom. So here he is, along with his Paige."
"That's so nice," Flora said. "And romantic."
"Slow your gestures, Prince boy!" Timmy Turner interrupted. "Nobody said you're off the hook yet! Can we all go back to Alfea now?! Because this whole mission's a total bust!"
"Yes, please, Pink-hatted Timmy!" Stella agreed. "All this winter weather is just so bad for my skin." She then turned and stared at Brandon. "Listen… I thought about it, and…and I think I have enough royalty for both of us."
Stella and Brandon smiled at each other, staring and reconciling until Timmy Turner called out to them, interrupting. "Hey, um, excuse me! Are we planning on leaving soon, or will you two keep staring at each other and have your romantic spark back until more of those monsters come back?"
As everyone flew back to Alfea onboard the Red Fountain aircraft, Sky tried to talk things out with Bloom as they sat beside each other.
"Uh, Bloom?" Sky began to speak.
Bloom turned to Sky. "Yeah? Did you say something?"
"Yes, I did. There's something I wanted to tell you."
"Yeah?"
"This whole thing about being Prince Sky and pretending to be Brandon, I…"
"Hey, it's okay," Bloom said. Calmly. "Just tell me."
"Right," Sky nodded as he took a deep breath. "Well... I'm sorry. I just wanted to see what it would feel like to be a regular guy for once."
"Really? I'm sorry," Bloom replied. "I mean, um, no! I'm not sorry, but it's like I am. But… Oh, you know what I mean. I understand all that. But you didn't have to lie to me and humiliate me."
"Yeah, I know."
"I, too, made a mistake. But some things are just so hard to admit."
"I didn't mean to hurt you," Sky said. "I care about you, Bloom. That's why I broke off my arranged marriage to Diaspro. In any case, I'm sorry about the 'Brandon-Prince Sky' thing."
"I forgive you," Bloom smiled. "But on one condition."
"What's that?" Sky asked.
"I get to call you 'Sky,' period. It's too weird to call you 'Prince Sky.'"
"Deal!"
While Bloom and Sky finally made up and reconciled, Timmy Turner sadly looked out the window of the Red Fountain aircraft. "Cosmo, Wanda, Poof… just hang in there."
"I really think it's tacky to come back empty-handed from our trip to Domino," Stella said. "We didn't find the Dragon Flame, but we should've at least picked up some souvenirs."
"Yeah, that's what I meant when I said this whole mission's a total bust," Timmy Turner replied. "And by the way, Stella, no one wants souvenirs from a DEAD planet!"
"Okay, okay, geez!"
Just then, seeing this, the other Winx girls and the Specialists burst into laughter. At the same time, Timmy Turner and Stella looked at them and each other in confusion.
To be continued...
