Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or Hogwarts or anything else from the wizarding world nor the characters I am using. I am not making money from this.
The greasy black-haired potion teacher burst into the room. At first, he had a scowl on his face.
"Potter!" He said, "I need you in my classroo-" He also was cut short when he saw Harry and his friends. "Stupefy!" He reacted quickly and caught Umbridge by surprise. He commanded the Industrial Squad to leave, and they left quickly and most of them were rather pale. "What is the meaning of this!" Snape raised an eyebrow when nobody paid any attention to him.
"Harry, oh Harry, I am so sorry!" Ginny ran to Harry and buried her head in his chest. "Wake up, you are okay!" She sobbed. When the rest of the group ran over Harry stirred.
"Iamsosorrypleasedon'thurtmeuncleIamreallysorry…" He mumbled out. At that moment, glamours nobody knew were there came off. There laying on the floor was a malnourished, bruised, and bloody 15-year-old. There was a yellow handprint bruise on his right cheek. There was a pool of his own blood at his head. Snape raised his other eyebrow. Could Potter have been getting abused. But then why does he strut around the castle, acting like the perfect golden boy? Severus himself knew how hard life was when you had abusing guardians. But he shook the thought away as he saw broken glasses on the floor. Snape picked them up and found the glass in the left to be completely missing and right had a slight hairline crack. Oh great, now someone was going to step on the glass in the carpet and get cut. He sent a patronus to Pomfrey and luckily nobody noticed it was a doe.
"Acio Potter's glasses broken glass." He waved his wand expecting glass to come from the carpet below, but a yelp of pain came from Potter. Pieces of glass started edging out of his left eye, deeply cutting it. The potions master stopped the spell and knelt to Potter. "Dang it boy, leave it to you to get glass in your eye!" His friends started trying to help him further after they saw his eye.
"How could this have happened?" Hermoine cried. "Professor? Wil-will he bl-blind?" Snape sighed. He couldn't believe that he felt anything but hate for Potter.
"I am no medi-witch, but it seems that in the left eye I may have done more damage to it trying to find the glass. If the eye wasn't blind before it most likely became blind then." He was very sorry for what he did. Though, he would never admit it. Thankfully at that moment Poppy came through the door.
"Oh, my dear my dear!" She exclaimed. Pomfrey began fussing and mumbling spells. She shoved potions for the after effects of the torture curse. She poured a clear white gooey liquid over his eye and the glass slipped out easily. She conjured a bed and carefully levitated Potter onto it. The group all followed to hospital wing. Snape promised that he would go back for Umbridge after sending another stunning spell over to her. Then she cleaned all the blood away from Harry with a spell. Everyone was silent will she worked once they made it up to the hospital. Hermoine spoke up.
"I tried to stop her, or trick her, but Umbridge wasn't listening." She felt ashamed how they all stood there watching their best friend, Harry Potter, get tortured for goodness' sake, possibly go blind in one eye and insane. Neville was pacing and obviously needed a calming draught.
"Is he going to be like my parents?" It was barely a whisper, but everyone heard it.
Snape trying to get him to calm down explain, "When your parents were being tortured, there had been a lot more power being the curse. I just hope Harry does not suffer the same fate." Luna looked up.
"You called him Harry not Potter." she said without her usual dreamy voice. In fact, it seemed as if she was on the verge of tears.

What was his name? He knew he had one. In fact, somewhere faraway he could hear people saying it. Harry. That must be his name. Potter. He heard that too. He felt pain. He must be back at the Dursley's, getting a beating. Yes, that must be it. He knew the only way for beatings to end faster was to give in. Vernon didn't go for as long if Harry was submissive. He vaguely remembered something. He was doing something for someone but got caught. What was it? Slowly he felt his body relax. The pain receding. That felt better. He was on something soft. He liked it. But when Harry was about to go from unconscious to asleep, he felt his eyes open. He expected to see the cupboard under the stairs. But that wasn't what he saw. He didn't really see anything. His glasses must have broken during his beating. His left eye saw a void of black while his right saw blurry blobs around him. His left eye was throbbing slightly. He really wanted to just sleep but was unable to. He heard someone talking maybe to him. "Harr...stay...wake...don't... fall...sleep..." He thought it must be his uncle telling him to stay awake during the beating. He thought he should try and respond. He didn't want even more chores to do.
"I sorry...no more chores please...not the..." He tried to speak but it was a lot harder than he thought it would be. He was on the verge of sleep again when someone grabbed his shoulder harshly. Harry was not surprised when it hurt. Out of habit, he moved, not much, but flinched from the touch. He opened his eyes wider and tried to see even a little bit better. He felt a cool glass against his lips and didn't fuss over drinking what was inside. Uncle Vernon never liked it when he didn't do anything that he wanted him to do. "Please…don't…hurt me…" He tried to say please. He felt the world start coming into focus. It was still fuzzy and blobby, but he was more aware of his surroundings. He could tell where people were. Wait? There were lots of people around him. None of their shapes looked like Vernon. He must not have been at the Dursley's then. Then it hit him. "Sirius! He… needs…help!"
