The evening had come all around. Especially in the suburbs of the New York region. Peter and his team had returned home, exhausted from the day.
"Well, that was a unique trip so to speak," Trixie said as she slugged inside. "I would have hoped to see a bit more after all that traveling however."
"It wasn't that long of a travel, we drove to a train station to get into the city," Peter said. "And the city's only a half hour away."
"Don't contradict me when I'm in one of my moods," Trixie warned.
"I wasn't...ugh, forget it," Peter said.
"Trixie, it can't be helped," Lightning Dust said. "You know trouble tends to follow Peter wherever he goes."
"Dust!" Thunderlane scolded, earning an awkward blush from Lightning Dust.
"Uh, I mean...we just had bad luck, it's normal," Lightning Dust said. "Trouble tends to follow Twilight too, so Peter's not alone. They can be the trouble magnets together and-"
"Dust, babe, I love you, but you gotta stop talking," Thunderlane said.
"I wasn't trying to offend Peter, I was just trying to sympathize with him," Lightning Dust said. "Not like he asked to be unlucky."
Apple Bloom furrowed her brow at the blabbermouth Pegasus. "You have quite a way with words, don't ya Lightning Dust?"
"Yes..." Lightning Dust took a second to think. "Wait, is that a compliment?"
Apple Bloom rolled her eyes in annoyance before focusing on the hero. "Look Peter, regardless of what happened, it was still nice going into the city. There were lots of neat places. We can try again tomorrow. Or another day."
"I'm not so sure," Peter said. "Given that we know Fisk is out to get me, it might be too risky bringing any of you into the city."
"Does it matter?" Sonata asked. "Now that we know this guy's after us, it will be easier to prepare for it."
"I'm worried enough as it is about Doom and Wesker," Peter said. "I don't need anyone dragged into this fight with Fisk."
"Is this guy really as bad?" Sonata asked.
"Fisk is no Wesker, and he's definitely no Doom," Shocker said. "But he's The Kingpin for a reason. He's got connections that most crime lords don't. The Beetle may be a go to for him, but he can find someone else."
"Aren't all of Peter's most dangerous enemies in Equestria though?" Lightning Dust asked.
"Not all of them," Shocker said. "Like, don't get me wrong, it's hard to top guys like Doc Ock, Venom or even The Green Goblin. But you still have plenty of people to worry about here."
"Earlier you mentioned a few names," Trixie said. "One of them had something to do with a hammer."
"Yeah, Hammerhead, another crime lord, just like Fisk, Robbins and Li," Shocker said. "I don't know if he's still active or not, but he could be someone to worry about."
"Who was that other name?" Autumn Blaze asked. "Did you mention one more?"
"Smythe," Shocker said. "Specifically Alistair Smythe."
"That's a name I haven't heard in a while," Peter said.
"Who is he?" Apple Bloom asked.
"He's a scientist with a knack for robotic engineering, just like his father Spencer," Peter said. "See Spencer actually created some robots known as Spider-Slayers for the purpose of trying to kill me. He came close a few times too."
"So now we have more mad scientists to worry about?" Trixie asked. "I don't suppose this Spencer person is retired and just letting his son handle everything, is he?"
"You can say he's retired," Peter said. "Technically speaking though, he's dead."
"Lucky us," Lightning Dust said.
"Uh...that sounds kind of harsh to say, Lightning Dust," Apple Bloom said.
"Hey, he created robots to kill Peter, he's clearly evil," Lightning Dust insisted.
"Ah know, but still, being happy about someone's death feels wrong, especially knowing he had a son," Apple Bloom said.
"She's not wrong to feel that way," Peter said. "Alistair was devastated when his father died, and dedicated his life to revenge on anyone who was associated with his death. That included me, so he took over his father's work to finish what he started."
"And you think it's a possibility that he might return, Herman?" Autumn Blaze asked.
"It's something I'm worried about," Shocker said. "Smythe isn't just good with robots. Last I remember, he's also mutated."
"Mutated!?" Trixie asked in worry.
"It's nothing too threatening, he just grew wings like a bat," Shocker said.
"That still sounds like trouble," Trixie said.
"Look, right now, let's not jump to conclusions," Shocker said. "We don't even know if Smythe is up to anything. Let's focus on what we do know, that being The Kingpin causing trouble."
"Figures this would happen," Peter lamented. "No matter what I try, I always tend to attract trouble."
"Peter, don't blame yourself," Twilight said. "It's not like you could have predicted any of this."
"These villains are after me though," Peter said. "If I hadn't been in town, The Beetle wouldn't have shown up. Neither would The Hood. I was their target!"
"You're not the sole cause of everyone's trouble," Twilight said. "That girl Yuriko even said that trouble hasn't completely died down without you around."
"Yeah, she mentioned that other heroes are there to keep everyone safe," Sonata said.
"But my presence didn't help," Peter rubbed his head in frustration. "Maybe Gallus was right about me. Maybe I am a magnet for trouble."
Hearing this statement was a bit unsettling for Mayday, the girl now feeling a sense of sympathy for her father.
"First off, who's Gallus?" Shocker asked.
"A Griffon from back home," Peter said.
"He's the one who clawed Cozy Glow across the face and nearly blinded her," Sonata said. "I still owe him for that crap."
"Don't tell me you're still hung up on that kid after she betrayed you," Shocker said.
"I know she still loves me, and I love her!" Sonata said.
"I'm not getting into this with you, let's focus on the real problem here," Shocker turned to Peter. "Look, I don't know who this Gallus kid is, but it sounds like he's been talking crap about you."
"He has," Lightning Dust said. "He tried smearing Peter's name recently. Saying that because he's in Ponyville, that's why the villains came after us."
"Is he wrong though?" Peter asked. "Those villains endangered everyone just to get to me. It's my fault they were there."
Mayday again felt her chest tighten, angry that her father feels this way. Sensing her anger, Franklin took Mayday by her hand to calm the girl down.
"Peter..." Twilight gently stroked her husband's back. "You need to stop being so hard on yourself."
"I have to face the facts," Peter said. "I'm the one the villains want after all."
"Tch, wow, no offense Peter, but that's kind of a conceded mindset to have," Sonata said.
"Hey!" Twilight scolded.
"It's true!" Sonata said. "Like, seriously Peter, do you honestly believe you're the main reason we invaded? Like, you're definitely a threat, but not the only one!"
"Yeah, I can also confirm that Peter was not our only target," Shocker said. "We didn't invade Equestria to go after Peter, we invaded to steal it's magic and power. We only went after Peter because he was the biggest threat to our plan. Or at least one of the biggest threats."
"Exactly, he wasn't the only one on our minds," Sonata said. "If anything, some of us were more worried about Celestia."
"Me?" Celestia asked.
"Yeah, you're the Princess, and one of the most powerful beings in our world," Sonata said.
"Yeah, Peter wasn't the top of everyone's list," Shocker said. "Doom mostly spoke about destroying Mr. Fantastic. Wesker, much as he disliked Peter, still had Chris Redfield on his mind first and foremost. Vergil wanted to get rid of his brother, same wit Loki. Chrysalis wanted Twilight out of the way. That guy, Goku Black, wanted to bring down some kid named Trunks."
"Exactly, we all had more targets than just Peter," Sonata said. "That's why we attacked different cities and different parts of the multiverse. If Peter was the only threat, we would have gone right after him from the get-go."
"So...it's not just me?" Peter asked. "I'm not the reason Equestria's doomed?"
"Equestria was doomed whether you were there or not," Shocker said. "Tirek came up with the original plan to invade. You weren't really a big part of his worries, if anything he figured you were just a minor inconvenience. His goal was always weakening the four princesses."
"What about Wesker?" Peter asked. "He came to Equestria to come after me."
"Friendly reminder that he was already invading Earth," Shocker said. "He didn't go to Earth for you, he wanted to take over. Did he go to Equestria for you? That could be part of the reason, but he and Vergil both admitted that they mostly just cared about the power."
"Herman's got a point," Lightning Dust said. "Wesker did say that while he liked the idea of you joining him, in the end he saw a chance for power and went for it. It's safe to say that even if you weren't in Equestria, he would still want to invade it just for the power."
"It's true that a lot of enemies did come after you, I won't deny that, but in the end, it's not just you that matters, you just happen to have been a bigger pain to deal with," Shocker said. "Like, imagine you're washing a plate. The goal is to get rid of all the germs, that's what the heroes and ponies were. Germs. But some things on that plate, like maybe some dried up sauce, proved to be more of a pain to get rid of, so it required more effort. That's you Peter."
"I'm...dried up sauce?" Peter asked.
"Exactly, you're the hardest part of the dish to wash, so we had to give you a little extra attention," Shocker said. "But that didn't mean you were the only part that was a pain. Twilight was like the syrup from a pancake. The Capcom Warriors are grime from another dish that needed focus. You get what I'm saying? We didn't wash the dish just to get rid of you, we needed to get rid of everything. You just put up a lot of fight."
"...This has got to be one of the weirdest analogies I've ever heard," Peter said.
"Just tell me you understand what I mean," Shocker said.
"Yeah, I get it, but wow," Peter said. "Washing dishes? I knew you were pretty boring sometimes, but this just takes the cake."
"...Okay you know what? Screw it," Shocker turned to leave. "That's the last time I try to cheer up your ungrateful ass."
"Herman wait!" Twilight urged, then turned to Peter. "You could be nicer, Herman is just trying to alleviate your worry."
"...Yeah, you're right. Sorry Herman," Peter said. "But hey, I did forget about my worries for a split second, thanks to your silly analogy. So thanks."
"Whatever," Shocker said. "Just stop moping already and get things done!"
"I will," Peter reassured. "Still, I can't just ignore the situation with Fisk, and how he came after me."
"Well from what Yuriko said, he's been a problem fer a while," Rogue said. "He only went after you because he knew you were a threat to his plans."
"Just like we've been saying," Sonata said. "You're not always the main target; you're just in the way of our actual target."
"Plus you being here can be a big help now," Apple Bloom said. "Yer one of the only people who would know how to deal with this Wilson Fisk fellow."
"I bet Herman would know too," Lightning Dust said. "Maybe not as an enemy, but as a former ally."
"Yeah, Spidey and I can get this under control," Shocker said.
"It will be perfect for your community service," Peter joked.
"Don't start with me on that," Shocker said.
"It might be a good idea to meet up with Warren and this Gwen girl," Rogue said.
"Right, and I suppose we should meet up with Elektra and The Punisher," Peter said.
"I'm not too sure if I want to be around The Punisher," Shocker said. "He's not exactly a forgiving person. Quite honestly I don't think I'd be comfortable around Elektra either."
"Well I can talk with them," Peter said. "Then I'll convince them not to deem you an enemy."
"Aren't they heroes too?" Sonata asked. "It shouldn't be that hard, right?"
"The term 'hero' does not describe Elektra or The Punisher," Peter said. "They're just vigilantes that take things WAY too far."
"Well we'll keep everyone here protected," Twilight said. "Anyway, it's been a long day, let's just lay back for a while. Fortunately I managed to pick up a book from the library."
"That was fast, feels like we were barely in there," Rogue said.
"I'm good at spotting books," Twilight said as she pulled one out. "I actually spotted this in the romance section, it seems to be really popular."
"Sweet, what did you...?" Peter's face turned red upon seeing the title. "Uh...Twilight? Are you sure about that one?"
"Yeah, it looks nice, though I don't know what the color gray has to do with romance," Twilight said.
"...Well Peter, you might be very busy soon," Shocker said. "Just promise to be mindful of the fact that there's other people in this house."
"DUDE!" Peter shouted.
"Yeah Peter, no noise," Lightning Dust said. "It's very inconsiderate."
"Don't even. I heard that the moment you and Thunderlane turned human, you..." Peter glanced over at a very confused Mayday and Franklin, almost forgetting that the kids were nearby. "Just put a cork in it."
Franklin scratched his head in confusion, "What's going on?"
"I think they're talking about sex," Mayday said. This of course earned the girl some curious and horrified glances toward the girl. "What? Most of you already knew I read about it in a book."
"What book!?" Shocker asked.
"A biology book," Mayday said. "I know what sex is, it's how animal species reproduce. It's completely natural."
"She's not wrong," Autumn Blaze said.
"...Hey, um, Mayday?" Peter said. "Let's forget about the book and focus on doing something else. Do you want to watch another movie?"
"Sure I guess," Mayday said. "Can I get something to eat too?"
"Mayday, you already had a hot dog," Twilight said.
"I'm still kind of hungry though," Mayday said.
"It is one little hot dog, it's not enough for a growing girl," Peter said.
"Okay fine, but she gets something small," Twilight said.
"Yeah, we wouldn't want her gaining weight," Sonata said. "Oh, speaking of food, where are my chips?"
"Sonata, you just ate too!" Shocker said as Sonata went toward the kitchen. "Sonata!" He began to follow. "Hey! If you're still hungry, eat an apple!"
"You eat an apple!" Sonata snapped back.
"...That is one hungry girl," Apple Bloom said.
"She's definitely a bit of a glutton," Trixie said.
"It still seems like stress eating," Starlight said. "It's a very easy habit to fall into."
"She doesn't seem to be gaining any weight," Autumn Blaze said. "Lucky her."
"I should go find Sunset," Peter said. "I hope she hasn't missed us too much."
Meanwhile in a Tropical Rainforest out in Malaysia, Sunset and her team are seen braving the area as they traveled with famed archeologist, Lara Croft.
"So that's our story," Sunset said, having just explained the situation to Lara. "We hear that you're very capable, your name is among the greatest when it comes to explorers who brave incredible unknowns. So we ask, can you help us?"
"Help you topple some conquerors?" Lara asked. "That's quite a tall task, dear. I'm no stranger to the supernatural, but I can't say I'm an expert in vanquishing such foes."
"You'd be able to travel to new worlds though," Sonic said. "Doesn't that sound fun?"
"Hm, I suppose so," Lara said.
"You'd be able to do what most archeologists could only dream of doing," Sonic said. "Plus, if you help save Equestria, you might be able to explore there as well."
"It'd be like having a new playground," Dante said. "All the fun attractions that wait, especially in a world that functions slightly different than yours."
"This is all quite tempting," Lara said. "And all you need me to do is help you in this war. Is that right?"
"We know it's selfish to ask," Chris said. "But keep in mind, this could affect your world too. We're not expecting you to fight a God, but if you could at least provide support, we could greatly benefit from it."
"We'd really owe you big time, Lara," Cloud said.
"...Well, I do recall stumbling into your world once Cloud," Lara said. "The people there have been hospitable, so I suppose I could consider it returning the favor. Besides, if I'm being honest, you did have me at exploring these new worlds. My world still has many great mysteries that I wish to uncover, but I wouldn't mind checking a new area out. The idea has me rather excited."
"It's fun, isn't it?" Sonic said. "Once we're done saving Equestria, I might explore it myself."
"...Come to think of it, I don't think I've fully explored it," Ryu said. "I've been too focused on my own training in my world, it slipped my mind to learn more of Equestria."
"Now's your chance," Cloud said.
"So...will you help us, Miss Croft?" Sunset asked.
"Lara is fine, and yes," Lara said. "Just allow me to finish up here. I heard talk of a lost tomb nearby, I'm curious to see what it entails."
"Isn't it creepy to explore tombs?" Gwen asked.
"You see creepy, I see a chance to unravel lost history," Lara said.
"She is an archeologist," Sunset said. "So she's probably getting paid to do this."
"Honestly, I just really like exploring," Lara said. "It's a fun past time for me."
"Heh, really starting to see why Cloud said you and I would connect," Sonic said.
"Careful Sonic, you have enough girls eyeing you as it is," Mega Man said.
"Dude, not cool," Sonic said.
Sunset then heard an alarm on her wrist going off, "Crap...Peter's back. I gotta get home!"
"Already?" Morrigan asked. "That was quick."
"I expected him to be out longer," Sunset said.
"Don't worry, I can get you home," Gwen said. "The rest of you should return to the Portal Room."
"What about the others?" Chris asked.
"I can go find Mario," Sonic said. "Mega Man can help."
"From there we can grab Link," Mega Man said.
"I'll contact Shantae on my own," Dante said. "She used to hang with Capcom, so I can reach her."
"You shouldn't go alone, I'll go with you," Morrigan said.
"I should reunite with my allies too," All Might said. "Hopefully, they found their own success."
"Sounds good," Sunset said as Gwen opened the portal. "I'll catch you all later!"
After some good-byes, Sunset returned to the backyard, with Gwen saying her own good-bye.
"I gotta check in with Miguel, I'll see you later Sunset," Gwen said before pulling away.
"Yeah, see you," Sunset said as she began walking off just as Peter came outside.
"There you are, still training?" Peter asked.
"Yeah, I've been getting ready any way I can," Sunset said. "Still...back already? Is everyone else here too?"
"We're all here, we had a nice day in the city, for the most part," Peter said. "Then we ran into trouble."
"Trouble?" Sunset asked. "What kind of trouble?"
"Some old enemies of mine found out I was in the city, so we got ambushed," Peter said.
"Ambushed!?" Sunset asked in worry. "Is everyone alright!?"
"Everyone's fine, we stopped the guys that came after us," Peter said. "One of them however, was a hired gun sent by an old enemy of mine, called The Kingpin."
"Kingpin huh? Sounds familiar," Sunset said.
"He has an old grudge against me, so he tried to have me killed," Peter said. "Fortunately the guy he sent after me, The Beetle, was dealt with. Same with The Hood."
"The Hood?" Sunset asked.
"A crime lord from the city," Peter said. "The threat isn't done. So while I'm here, I'm going to try and find The Kingpin and put a stop to him."
"Peter, that's great and all, but what about Equestria?" Sunset asked.
"This world might need my help too, I can't ignore it," Peter said.
"Well...I suppose I can't tell you not to be a hero," Sunset said. "Just prioritize. We're going back to Equestria soon after all."
"I'm aware, and don't worry, I got this under control," Peter said. "Anyway, Starlight saved some food for you. Better hurry and get it before Sonata gets any funny ideas."
"Sure...also, how's Mayday?" Sunset asked. "She wasn't scared, was she?"
"Mayday...didn't handle some of the traveling well, especially the loud noises," Peter said. "And she was a bit shaken up by the fight, but she's fine. Thanks for asking."
"No trouble," Sunset said. "By the way, I spoke with Gwen, and it looks like we're going to be getting more allies. Including Mark. You remember him, right?"
"Yeah, the kid who calls himself Invincible," Peter said. "I hope he can spare the trouble."
"Yeah, we all do..." Sunset said in worry, thinking more about The Viltrumite Invasion.
Later in her room, Mayday was seen laying in bed and thinking about the events of the day prior. Seeing New York City up close, meeting Jameson, visiting the library, the pizza and of course the villain attack.
While she thought it all over, she heard the door open, seeing only the boy she eternally crushed on, "Oh, Frankie, you're here."
"Yeah," Franklin said as he closed the door behind him. He got in bed beside Mayday, the girl scooting over to give him room to lay down as both of them stared up at the ceiling.
"Does this type of thing really happen a lot?" Mayday asked.
"What thing?" Franklin asked.
"The villains attacking," Mayday said. "Do heroes like daddy really get ambushed at random?"
"Sometimes," Franklin said. "My parents had to deal with that from time to time, especially from aliens like The Skrulls. The worst of course is Doctor Doom."
"Why though?" Mayday asked. "Why are some people like that? My daddy wasn't trying to look for trouble, he just wanted to have a normal day of fun."
"That's how villains are," Franklin said. "They don't care about what you want, they just want to do what they want. I don't know exactly why The Kingpin hates your dad. I know he's stopped him before, I guess he foiled him one too many times."
"I heard The Green Goblin hates my daddy for little to no reason," Mayday said. "I don't get that either. What could daddy have done to deserve being treated that way?"
"Sometimes, it just takes one act of disrespect, or even a misunderstanding," Franklin said. "My dad never set out to disrespect Doctor Doom...at least, I don't think he did. But that didn't stop Doom from hating my dad, and wanting him dead."
"Things like that is why my daddy gets worried," Mayday said. "All those ponies who hated him just because of the villains. Not like daddy wanted that to happen."
"Everyone with common sense knows that," Franklin said. "You can't let yourself get too burdened by those ponies, or anyone like that."
"It's still wrong of anyone to blame my daddy," Mayday said. "He does so much good, doesn't he?"
"Well, no one here seems to be blaming your dad," Franklin said. "That cop lady was actually relieved he was here. Considering how long he was gone, people probably have a newfound appreciation for him."
"I hope so," Mayday said. "Daddy does so much for other people. To know there are those like Jameson and that stupid Griffon Gallus who think it's okay to say bad things about daddy, even making things up. Why are people like that? Why would anyone go through so much trouble to say bad things about other people?"
"Guess some people never knew love and understanding, so they never learned how to treat others," Franklin said. "Or maybe, some people are just spoiled and learned the wrong lessons when it came to kindness."
"Sounds like people can just be really stupid then," Mayday said,
"Maybe, but in Jameson's defense, he seemed to be much nicer," Franklin said. "I don't think he hates your dad."
"Well, I still don't trust him," Mayday said. "Not yet."
"I suppose that's to be expected," Franklin said. "Just promise me you'll at least try to be forgiving. If we can't learn to forgive, I don't think anything will change."
Mayday smirked to herself, "I gotta say Frankie, you're very wise for a boy your age."
"Is it wisdom?" Franklin asked. "I'm just going off what I saw with Sonata and Herman. They used to be bad, but now they're good, because they learned to change for the better. They did go from trying to destroy your father to wanting to help him."
"Yeah, you're right," Mayday said. "They're his friends now."
"Trixie had to learn to be better too, didn't she?" Franklin asked.
"Yeah...and so did Lightning Dust, and Starlight," Mayday said. "Now Lightning Dust is really nice, and Starlight is part of the family, just like Trixie."
"Exactly," Franklin said.
"Thunderlane is nicer than he used to be too," Mayday said. "To think he used to hate daddy. It was bad, but one good thing came out of it."
"What was that?" Franklin asked.
"Rumble became our friend," Mayday said. "He lived with us for a while, and even after he moved away, he kept visiting and my parents kept treating him like family."
"Sounds like something good came from something bad," Franklin said. "More good things can happen too, if we allow it."
"...You think any of the other villains can change?" Mayday asked.
"Well, Sonata seems to want her friends to change, even if Herman doesn't think it will happen," Franklin said.
"I don't blame him, it almost seems too good to be true," Mayday said.
"Hey, come on," Franklin grabbed Mayday by her hand. "Try to think positive. Bad things might happen, but let's not rule out good things happening too."
"Sure..." Mayday said. "I just wish good things happened more often. Daddy deserves a break from all this headache."
"He'll get it," Franklin said.
"...Hey, what do you think will happen when we go back to Equestria?" Mayday asked. "Will things get better? Or worse? Will ponies still hate my daddy? Will they still hate me?"
"Once your dad saves them, I think many of them will realize how valuable of a person he is," Franklin said. "Not that he should have to prove anything. If he's doing this heroing work out of the kindness of his heart, then no one has a right to complain about what he does or how he does things. But even if that happens, those who complain will just be some loud minority."
"A loud minority...that might make sense," Mayday said.
"As for you, I can't imagine why anyone would hate you," Franklin said.
"You know why, it's because I'm not social enough," Mayday said. "I'm the daughter of The Princess of Friendship, yet I can barely make any friends."
"You have friends," Franklin said. "Like Luster Dawn. She's your friend. It's only one, but like your dad likes to say, Quality over Quantity. Better you have one friend that truly loves you than fake friends who wouldn't even miss you."
"Yeah...I hope she's alright," Mayday said. "I really miss her."
"I bet she misses you too," Franklin said.
"...Oh man, she probably thinks I'm dead," Mayday said.
"You don't know that, I heard Uncle Johnny knows we're alive," Franklin said. "He might have told Luster Dawn."
"He better have," Mayday said. "I am not worrying my only friend."
"Aren't The Cake Twins your friends too?" Franklin asked. "What about Flurry Heart?"
"Flurry's my cousin, she doesn't count," Mayday said. "The Cakes are nice but I don't know if they count either."
"Well...you have one other person who really values you," Franklin nuzzled his face against Mayday's neck. "And he's laying next to you."
Mayday began giggling from the contact, "Frankie...that tickles."
Franklin then positioned himself over Mayday, maintaining intense eye contact with the girl below him, who was now too shy to say anything.
"I can't promise things will be better, nor do I know for sure if they will be worse," Franklin lowered his face until it was inches apart from Mayday's. "But I can promise that I will be there for you."
"Wow..." Mayday nervously looked aside, feeling flustered by the affection. "This feels very grown up of you."
"Yeah...maybe," Franklin admitted. "But...I really do care a lot about you, Mayday. I promise that no matter what, I will always take care of you."
"Thanks Frankie," Mayday said. "I...I love you."
"...I...love you too," Franklin said.
Neither of them were certain if they understood the weight those words carried, perhaps it was emotions running wild, but they were sticking to it for the moment.
Franklin then leaned down and began kissing Mayday, the girl eagerly returning the affection. Mayday knew Franklin wouldn't do it, but given her comment about her mother's book earlier, it did cross Mayday's mind.
"To think, once me and Frankie get married, we get to do that," Mayday thought to herself. "It might be weird though, I don't even know if I want kids. Then again, I wouldn't mind carrying Franklin's baby one day."
Franklin himself had some worries in his mind, "I feel like I'm rushing things. I can't help it though, she's too cute and precious. I want to take special care of her. I want her to feel protected. One day, I want her to be my children's mother." Franklin had to take a mental step back after that. "Whoa, I'm really getting carried away now."
Their kissing session was interrupted when Starlight called the two, "Franklin! Mayday! We're making some popcorn! Plenty of it! Peter picked out another movie! It's about mermaids!"
Franklin pulled away from his girlfriend, "Sounds like we're in for a classic. Guess kissing will have to wait."
Mayday sat up why glancing at Franklin in a flirty manner, "We can continue later. I kind of liked that feeling, and I want more of it."
"Uh...sure," Franklin said. "If that's what you want."
"Come on," Mayday got off the bed and pulled Franklin along with her as the two made their way downstairs.
Within Equestria, after the destruction of Klugetown, the ponies were seen traveling across the desert, hoping to find refuge somewhere. Due to the sun going down however, the desert was notably colder.
"Sun's almost down, everyone stay close to Johnny," Rainbow Dash ordered, the mare well enough to move on her own, as was Pinkie Pie.
"How is the sun going down anyway?" Wade asked, the man still holding the cake twins in his arms. "Celestia's not even here. Neither is Luna for that matter."
"They probably figured something out," Johnny said. "That or Celestia and Luna were faking the whole raising the sun and moon thing. Like, to this day I still don't know how that works. It goes against everything I learned from astronomy."
"Astronomy?" Wade asked. "It's so weird hearing you talk all science like."
"Hey, I was an astronaut at one point," Johnny said. "That's how I got my powers."
"Still, you're thinking about this sun and moon thing way too hard," Wade said.
"You're the one who brought it up," Johnny said. "Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if we went into space from Equestria. Like does this planet not revolve around the sun? Does it even rotate? Given that we have gravity here there's gotta be some method of science to this."
"Careful Johnny, your egghead is showing," Rainbow Dash teased.
"Babe, come on," Johnny said. "You know I'm not like Sue or Reed. I'm just an average guy with normal questions."
"First off, you're not average, you're just as smart as Sue and Reed, but more on the mechanical side," Rainbow Dash said. "Second, keep in mind that our world has a lot of magical properties, which could explain why we have gravity."
"That answer honestly feels kind of vague," Johnny said. "You know what? Once we stomp on the jackasses invading this world, I'm going into space and figuring this stuff out for myself! With help from Reed and Sue of course. Oh, and Ben's gotta come too."
"Exploring space in this dimension?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Gotta say, that does sound like something Reed would love to do."
"Reed and Doctor Hooves have talked a lot about science and whatnot," Johnny said. "Reed's been very distracted though, given The Accords, fixing that mess and now this. But Reed's learned a thing or two at least."
"That he has," Came the voice of the Doctor himself as he traveled alongside Derpy, their son as well as Dinky and Crackle Pop. "Reed is quite fascinated with this world and all of its properties. I do believe he would enjoy the vast concept of space."
"So, as a native, do you buy into Johnny's idea that Celestia was faking it?" Wade asked.
"I would never want to besmirch the good name of Princess Celestia," Doc said. "But, even I have wondered how such a thing worked. Ponies focus so much more on the magic of this world over the science. Magic itself is a scientific phenomenon, it must be understood more. Brushing anything off as 'just magic' is never enough for a curious mind!"
"Seems easy to me," Rainbow Dash said.
"It's not about leisure, it's about answers," Doc said. "Your husband is right to wonder these things, he too is a man of science after all."
"I'm really not," Johnny said. "I literally just build cars."
"That requires intelligence," Doc said.
"You know what a car is?" Wade asked.
"Mr. Wilson, I have been around Earthlings for quite some time, I've even visited Earth at least once," Doc said. "I know what a car is. Honestly given that Equestria has TVs and Radios, and even generators, I do believe that cars are just as possible. Why my wife here helped build a go-cart once."
"Yeah, me and Crackle Pop here," Derpy said as she gestured to the boy.
"It was really fun," Crackle Pop said. "Until the carts crashed at least."
"Wasn't that because of Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Applejack?" Dinky asked.
"Hey!" Rainbow Dash protested.
"That did happen, babe," Johnny said.
"Still..." Rainbow Dash looked around. "Where is Applejack anyway?"
"She's up ahead," Johnny said while gesturing in her direction. "Right beside Remy, Rarity and Bobby."
"My point is that there's so much that Equestria could benefit from, scientifically speaking," Doc said. "Unfortunately it seems like a lot of progress tends to be halted for one reason or another."
"Mayday liked talking about this kind of thing," Johnny said. "But I think Celestia was just afraid of technology or something. It's kind of bogus."
"Well, after all this has been settled, perhaps we should revisit this idea in the future," Doc said.
"Hey y'all!" Applejack called. "We're gonna be stopping in a few!"
"You got it!" Johnny said. Curiously he had to wonder, "Wait, stopping for what?"
"Ponies probably need their rest," Rainbow Dash said. "And to process what just happened."
"Plus we do need to count how many of us are here," Wade said.
"Yeah, I guess," Johnny said.
Mary-Jane was seen walking with everyone too while holding Benjy close. She looked nearby, seeing others with children of their own.
Marble, Limestone and Maud were seen with Pinkie's Twins, Elanor and Lil' Cheese. Johnny's daughter Firefly was seen with her grandparents, Bow and Windy. The daughter of Bobby and Rarity was with her grandparents as well.
She could see Applejack's kids Oliver and Becky walking along with the rest of the Apple Family. Not to mention Flitter with Felicia's daughter Felicity.
All of this reminded her of her son, Normie, and how much she missed him. "I hope this is dealt with soon. I gotta get home."
"Same, Liz is probably worried sick," Flash said. He noticed his sulking friend nearby. "How's Harry been doing?"
"Not so good," Mary Jane said. "The more his father does these terrible things, the worse he feels about the situation. It's like he blames himself somehow."
"It's not his fault, not like he can control his father," Flash said. "But, I get that feeling. I used to wonder if my dad's behavior was my fault too."
"Dealing with fathers is not easy, huh?" Mary Jane said.
"Not always," Flash gestured to Benjy. "I doubt this little guy will need to worry about that. Peter's a great dad, especially if his daughter's any indication."
"I just hope Peter has good advice for Harry," Mary Jane said.
"Peter can give Harry all the advice he can, but it's on Harry to change for the better," Flash said. "But, he's got potential. He's really caring, he just needs to show it better."
"Mama..." Benjy said while looking up ay Mary Jane.
"Huh? I'm not your mama, little guy," Mary Jane said.
"Mama..." Benjy repeated.
"...He's probably just calling for his mother," Flash said.
"I hope so, otherwise I'll have a very angry mother to deal with," Mary Jane lamented.
A few minutes later, everyone stopped as planned, with Applejack and Remy keeping count of who was available.
"Looks like some folks are missing," Applejack said.
"Anyone seen Wolverine? Or Nightcrawler?" Remy asked.
"Sorry, no," Johnny said. "They must be back in town."
"Well...hopefully they're catching up," Applejack glanced at a worried Fluttershy as she comforted her daughter. "Fer all our sakes."
"Double Diamond's team isn't here either," Wade said. "Neither are Venom, Taskmaster or Octavius."
"Looks like Bucky stayed behind too, along with Sam," Rainbow Dash said.
Applejack shook her head in worry, "This went so badly. We should have been better prepared for them villains. That place couldn't be a sanctuary fer long."
"It couldn't be helped," Felicia said. "What matters is that we're alive and can try again. Plus, those other guys are still fighting, for all we know, they managed to win."
"I'd like to think that, but ah ain't too sure," Applejack said. "Those guys were pretty tough."
"That's an understatement," an irritated Bobby said. "I can't believe how badly things went against Bison."
"You tried," Applejack said.
"And I failed, if you weren't there to pull me out, I'd probably be dead," Bobby said.
"That's what friends are for," Applejack said. "Yer alive, so you can still be with yer wife and daughter while you figure out how to get stronger."
"Just unleash that pure rage I saw from you last year," Johnny said. "You know you're stronger than this. You always boast that you could freeze this planet if you wanted to."
"My powers are dangerous though," Bobby said. "If I use too much, I could hurt innocent ponies. It's the same reason you know how bad it is to go Super Nova."
"Yeah, I guess," Johnny said.
"We just gotta hold out a bit longer," Applejack said. "Help's on its way after all."
"We can't just rely on help, we gotta do something now," Johnny said.
"Yeah, we do," Bobby said. "The first chance I get, I'm flying over to Canterlot and turning Tirek into an icicle."
"That ain't a smart move," Remy said. "You still don't know his full power."
"I'll just sneak up on him," Bobby said. "I can totally take on Tirek."
"Not alone," Rarity said. "You're strong Bobby, but I'm not taking any chances. I do not want to lose you."
"Hey I won't do anything that gets myself killed," Bobby reassured. "If you think I need someone by my side, well I'll compromise. Having help would make it easier anyway."
"Well, glad that's settled," Rarity said.
"Tirek's strong, but he's not the only major head honcho," Johnny said. "We still have Doom to worry about, same with Wesker."
"Take them down, the operation could fall apart," Rainbow Dash said.
"That won't be enough," Remy said. "Even if you take them out, you still got others who can just as well take over."
"Our best bet is to weaken them somehow," Applejack said.
"That will not be simple," Came Discord's voice, the Draconequess seen beside Fluttershy, Cadance, Flurry Heart and Luster Dawn. "Their power came from not only Queen Novo's Pearl, but Grogar's Bell."
"Yeah, we all saw that," Johnny said.
"If you want to weaken them, you need to use that same bell to take their powers back," Discord said. "Bonus if you're able to use the Pearl to make yourselves stronger."
"We just need to weaken them, that should be all we need," Johnny said.
"If you believe so," Discord said.
"You know any other weaknesses?" Bobby asked.
"I'm afraid not," Discord said. "I did everything I could to ensure their plan was mostly successful."
"Mostly?" Johnny asked.
"They were never meant to win, I was not going to allow them to reign too much damage on the world," Discord said. "Had things gone bad, I could have easily depowered them and removed them from this world."
"I doubt Doom would have let that happen," Johnny said.
"To be fair, he was not part of my original equation," Discord said. "I do confess that I did want to recruit him, same with Dormammu. My allies at the time warned me it would be risky. I can see why."
"That's right, you didn't bring all of these villains, some came on their own, didn't they?" Applejack asked.
"Yes," Discord confirmed. "Osborn, Electro, Mysterio, Scorpion, Shocker, Venom, Octavius The Dazzlings, Annihilus, Cozy Glow and Martin Li were the only ones planned to come. I had more but I had to downsize, mainly since some I feared I couldn't control."
"At least you had some common sense," Johnny said. "I couldn't imagine who else you wanted."
"Well, there was Impossible Man," Discord said. "I did contact him, but he was too much of a wild card, even for me."
"...Dude, you're so lucky you didn't go through with that," Johnny said.
"I even thought about working with more of the Klyntar, like Knull," Discord said. "But the only one I needed in the end was Eddie. He was the only one most likely to listen."
"Ironically he ended up switching sides," Remy said.
"I did have Loki on my side, that's someone I should have gotten rid of since in the end, he was the one who convinced Wesker and Doom to help my side overthrow me," Discord said. "I have even tried contacting Wesker, apparently he's been in New York a few times. Marvel's New York to be precise."
"What could he have needed there?" Johnny asked.
"I'm not sure, though I think I heard something about magical energy," Discord said.
"Hopefully it's nothing we have to worry about," Applejack said. "Of course, that's just wishful thinking."
"So, you've basically just told us who you wanted, but not how to stop those you had," Johnny said.
"Keep in mind that the ones I deemed dangerous could still show up," Discord said. "What's to stop Impossible Man from coming?"
"Bro, don't even!" Johnny warned.
"Same with The Klyntar," Discord said. "You never know who can pop up."
"Johnny can burn them, I can freeze them," Bobby said.
"Speaking of those symbiotes...I'm worried about Sweetie Belle now," Rarity said.
"Oh yes, Sweetie Belle, she's had quite a bit of fun herself with villains once," Discord said. "She made some interesting allies."
"Watch it dude, or I'll turn you into an icicle," Bobby warned.
"I wouldn't bring it up needlessly," Discord said. "Remember who Peter had to rescue her from?"
Rarity furrowed her brow in worry, "I'd rather not..."
"What were you even thinking with this crap, dude!?" Johnny asked. "Was this a game!?"
"Quite honestly, yes," Discord said. "One I firmly believed you could win. By gathering all of your villains into one location, I figured you'd have the chance to finally be rid of them."
"Weren't they already locked away in Tartarus?" Doc asked.
"They would have escaped, if anything I helped buy some time," Discord said.
"You also gave them more allies," Johnny said.
"It was a high risk with high reward type of deal," Discord insisted. "The risk didn't pay off, but I tried."
"Well Discord, your 'trying' led to a lot of casualties," Johnny said. "You think Tony is going to forgive what happened to Rhodey? Or how about Janet? She was close to reconciling with Hank, and that won't be happening."
"Because of you, Saffron won't be cooking with her father any longer," Bobby said.
"I have a pair of orphans in my arms," Wade said, glancing down at the twins. "This was because of you."
"What of my crew?" Celaeno asked. "How will you explain their demise?"
"This plan of yours even got some of Sonic's friends killed," Rainbow Dash said.
"And some of the Capcom Fighters too," Pinkie pointed out.
"Don't forget about what he did to Peter and his family," Derpy said.
"We certainly haven't," Cheerilee said. "Escpecially since Apple Bloom was part of that."
"And Peter's Aunt May," Bobby commented, unknowingly causing a nearby Harry to flinch.
"...Dammit dad," Harry lamented.
"I ain't gona forgive any of that either!" Babs commented. "Your stupid plan made me leave home, my whole family couldn't even make it out in one piece! Some of them are still in Manehattan! Probably dead!"
"...I am aware of what I've caused," Discord said. "I did not mean for it to happen."
"It still did," Johnny said. "Saying 'sorry' isn't going to bring them back."
"He knows that," Fluttershy said. "But he's trying to make things right. Let's give him a chance."
"I'm all for giving people second chances," Remy said. "But, given what he did, that ain't gonna be easy."
"Hey, we were willing to give a second chance to Wanda and her friends, weren't we?" Fluttershy asked.
"Wanda...?" Johnny recalled the woman in question. "Wait, speaking of Wanda, she and The Brotherhood were there at the fight, weren't they? What happened to them?"
"Oh crap, you're right," Rainbow Dash said. "I hope they're alive."
"And, just like that, Discord has one more thing to potentially answer for," Wade said.
"Discord's suffered too," Fluttershy said. "Go easy on him."
"Uh, yeah, I don't think so," Wade said. "Remember, I got orphans! Forgiveness will not come easy!"
Discord sighed in sadness, "I suppose it can't be helped. Even if I never earn their forgiveness, I have to make things right."
"You'll get there," Fluttershy said.
Flurry and Luster Dawn looked on in worry, both girls thinking about Mayday. Though they were reassured she was alive, and they knew to keep Peter's survival under wraps, they feared not seeing the girl again.
"Excuse me..." Cadance said, getting everyone's attention. "Regardless of our worries, let's try to maintain control. Right now my husband Shining Armor along with Iron Man and Captain America are doing their best to repel the invaders. Until then, let's focus on getting to safety."
"Where can we even go?" Pinkie asked. "Most places might be under a villain's control."
"We'll find someplace," Cadance said.
"Honestly, I don't think it matters too much," Bobby said. "There's a lot of us, if we find a villain controlled town, let's just overthrow it."
"Well, if we keep going north, we should end up in Appaloosa," Applejack said. "Hopefully we'll luck out there."
"Alright, we'll keep going until it gets too cold, then make camp for the night," Remy said.
"Don't worry about the cold," Johnny said with a snap of his fingers. "I'll keep everyone warm."
"I can help during the day," Bobby said.
"Sounds good to me," Remy said. "Come on, let's go."
Back in Klugetown, the villains had the area completely under control. However, their victory was bittersweet.
"Seems like our foes got away," Bison said. "This is rather troubling."
"They got lucky, we'll get them next time," Iori said.
"We came so close too," Annihilus said. "But that's one more area under our control at least."
"I'm surprised you're even here," Iori said. "I could have sworn you were killed."
"I do not fall so easily," Annhilus said.
"Well since our enemies don't either, I suggest we make plans on how to squash this little rebellion," Mature said.
"I believe I have a plan, if we could just..." Bison noticed one of the villains was leaving. "Akuma! I did not dismiss you!"
Akuma glared back at the Shadaloo leader, "I do not follow your orders. I came here to do battle, not to conquer. If there are no worhy opponents, then I do not wish to waste my time."
"Are you in any position to defy us!?" Annihilus said.
Akuma focused his attention on the Negative Zone ruler, "I would watch my tone if I were you, unless you wish for me to finish what that Spartan started."
"Try it, if he could not kill me, what hope do you have?" Annihilus said.
"Seems like a worthy test," Akuma took a battle stance.
"Hey wait up!" Kl'rt interrupted. "We're supposed to be on the same side! Save your quarrels for after disposing our enemies! If we fight now, we will be left vulnerable!"
"Oh let them," Goblin said, the creature back in his regular form. "Sometimes you just gotta let people settle it with their fists."
"I am compelled to agree with Super Skrull here," Bison said. "Save your quarreling for later."
"Tch, have it your way," Akuma said as he marched off. "I will do things my way."
"...I'm tempted to follow his example," Iori said. "I don't care about your conquest, I just wish to test myself further, so I may have the strength to slay my enemies."
"You'll get that power, but you need to work with us," Mature said.
"Then Kyo can be all yours," Vice added.
Kl'rt shook his head in annoyance, "Who even hired these guys anyway?"
"Akuma came with you," Bison reminded. "He was Loki's hire."
"Loki brought him along to take over Asgard, which did not go according to plan," Kl'rt said. "I cannot speak for this trio."
"We were just given an offer, that's all," Mature said. "Iori here may not be as invested, but we're all still loyal to this cause."
"So long as you do your assigned jobs, that is all that matters," Bison said. "Now, search the town. If you come across any resistance, terminate it."
Meanwhile Logan was seen leading his friends and some other survivors out of town, including Tender Taps and First Base.
"So much for our safe haven," Tender Taps lamented.
"It couldn't be helped," Double Diamond said. "What matters is finding somewhere else to go."
"Tch, screw that, we should go back and fight!" Night Glider said.
"You'll get killed," Double Diamond said.
"Better than running," Night Glider said. "I'm no coward."
"Cowards run without trying," Logan said. "Going back just to prove you're not a coward isn't bravery though, it's stupid. If you have a chance to live to fight another day, take it. This way you have a better chance at stopping these guys for good."
"Alright fine," Night Glider said.
"...Still, part of me does want to fight too," Logan admitted. "Though if I'm being honest, I'm more concerned about Fluttershy and everyone else that escaped with her."
"We will find her," Kurt reassured. "For now, we must press forward."
"Traveling this desert's a pain though," Bucky admitted.
"Stay close to the ocean," Logan said. "The breeze will make it easier."
"You think we should try going to Mount Aris?" Night Glider asked.
"That's risky considering it was one of the first places attacked," Bucky said.
"We gotta try something," Sugar Belle said.
"We'll make plans in a few hours," Logan said. "For now, keep putting distance."
Lyra walked among them with Rumble's son on her back while staying close to Bon-Bon.
"This sucks...I wish Peter were here," Lyra said.
"Well he's not," Bon Bon said. "But hope's not all gone, just try not to give up on me."
"Yeah, sure..." Lyra said.
"Also, that's Rumble's son, right?" Bon Bon asked.
"Yeah, I wanted to foalsit him," Lyra said. "I talked about wanting to be a mother one day. Consider this practice."
"Yeah, you've mentioned that," Bon Bon said. "After all this, maybe it is something to look into."
"Whoa, really!?" Lyra asked. "You mean it?"
"We just need to fill out some adoption forms," Bon Bon said. "Unless you want to find a donor to get you pregnant."
"The second one," Lyra said. "I can ask Noteworthy to help."
"Noteworthy? You mean your ex-boyfriend?" Bon Bon asked.
"Yeah, at one point I thought it might be weird, but given everything that's happened, I'm willing to talk things out with him," Lyra said. "A new lease on life."
"I suppose that sounds good," Bon Bon said. "Let's discuss this later."
"Sweet," Lyra said as she continued on.
Time passed across the dimensions, and soon it was a new day. The Klugetown survivors continued along, with one team heading toward Appaloosa, and the other team going toward Las Pegasus.
Meanwhile Rumble's team was awake and he led them toward where he believed Klugetown was.
"Rumble, are you sure you're going in the right direction?" Sweetie Belle asked. "This place doesn't look like the path to Klugetown."
"I'm a Pegasus, we have an excellent sense of direction," Rumble said.
"I don't know Rumble, I kind of agree with Sweetie Belle," Silverstream said. "I think you took a wrong turn somewhere."
"Hey, I'm telling you, we're fine," Rumble said.
As they kept going, Laura pointed to the distance, "Is that Manehattan?"
"Huh?" Rumble looked ahead, unable to believe what he just saw. "What in the world!?"
"I told you that you were going the wrong way!" Sweetie Belle scolded.
"I don't get it, my gut feeling told me to go this way!" Rumble said.
"Well it was wrong," Smolder said.
"Well now what?" Gabby asked. "Do we try again? Maybe we can-"
Suddenly a large bolt of electricity was seen firing out of the city.
"Uh...what was that?" Scootaloo asked.
"I'm not sure," Rumble said as he stepped forward. "But I'm going to find out."
"H-hey! Don't just run off!" Sweetie Belle said.
"I gotta see what's happening!" Rumble said as he trotted toward the town.
Sweetie Belle rolled her eyes in annoyance, "He's going to get himself killed!"
"Come on!" Silverstream said as she and the others followed Rumble.
The boy had run toward the town and saw several ponies working under intense labor. He could see more bolts of electricity striking down.
"Come on, move your asses!" Came Electro's voice as he zapped down at some ponies. "I want those monuments done!"
Rumble spotted a pair of ponies that looked familiar to him, "That's Apple Bloom's Aunt and Uncle Orange!"
The two were forced to work hard under Electro's rule, though the mare of the duo collapsed in the streets.
"Darling!" Uncle Orange helped his wife. "You have to get up!"
"I can't..." Aunt Orange said.
"Hey! What's with the slacking?" Electro asked as he floated over. "Is this why progress has been halted whenever I wasn't around!?"
"Please, my wife's just tired!" Uncle Orange said. "Have mercy!"
"Look, I try to be nice, I try to be understanding," Electro said. "But, I don't like it when people try my patience! If you're not motivated enough, then you're useless!"
"We are, but we're tired!" Uncle Orange said.
"You're not tired, you're just lazy," Electro said. "I know who you are, a pair of rich ponies. I bet you never had to work a day in your life, compared to someone like me! People like you make me sick!" He then charged up some electricity, "Maybe we're better off without you."
"Wait, don't!" Uncle Orange pleaded.
Just before Electro attacked, Rumble ran out to get his attention, "Hey Sparky!"
"Huh?" Electro turned to see the Pegasus. "Oh, it's that annoying kid."
"You leave those two alone!" Rumble said.
"Wanna play the hero kid!?" Electro asked as he fired some electricity that Rumble barely dodged. "Here! Be a hero!"
Rumble ran to the side, avoiding all the electric strikes that he could. Fortunately his friends had finally caught up.
"Rumble! We'll save you!" Sweetie Belle leapt at Electro and attacked with her suit's power, but the villain avoided the attack and blasted Sweetie Belle out of the air.
"Attack!" Silverstream led the others after Electro.
"Oh don't think this will be an easy win!" Electro started blasting everyone, each strike proving to be much more aggressive than the last.
Rumble tried to sneak up from behind with a leaping kick, but he was instead knocked back and sent flying through a window.
"Stupid kid," Electro went to attack but Silverstream knocked him out of the air.
"I won't let you hurt him!" Silverstream said.
"That ain't up to you!" Electro blasted the girl and sent her flying. "You punks are gonna breath your last breath today!"
While inside the building and trying to recover, Rumble found himself surrounded by what looked like Ultron Drones.
"Surrender," the drones said. "Resistance is futile."
"You wish," Rumble said as he attacked each of the drones with quick kicks. Unfortunately they did not stay down long, causing Rumble to worry. "That can't be good."
"Surrender!" The Drones went to attack but Rumble had quickly ran off, with the drones following.
These robots weren't the only ones here, as Gabby and Smolder found themselves surrounded by Sigma's Mavericks.
"Guess Electro has some security," Gabby said.
"Fine by us! Let's roast them!" Smolder said as she blasted fire.
Sweetie Belle took note of what was happening, this of course worrying the girl, "Great...of course he had backup."
An Ultron Robot tried sneaking up on her, but she managed to destroy it with a suit made claw attack.
Kate fired her arrows at the robots while Laura provided some assistance by taking down any that got too close.
"If these Ultron Drones are here, does that mean the real Ultron is nearby?" Kate asked.
"He might be," Laura took down a Maverick. "I'm not sure what these things are exactly."
"Might be related to one of the robots that came with Ultron," Kate fired her arrow again. "Someone named Sigma."
"Got that right!" Electro said as he blasted the girls. "Ultron and Sigma were kind enough to lend me some robots while they went to Capcom Earth to deal with Zero!"
"Zero? Which one's that?" Kate asked.
"A red and white robot with long blonde hair," Laura said. "He's pretty cool actually, we competed in Marvel vs Capcom a couple of times."
"Marvel vs Capcom?" Kate asked. "Clint told me about that, it sounds fun."
"You should join us next time," Laura said.
More robots came, much to Kate's worry, "Assuming there is a next time."
"We got this," Laura said. "Come on, time to kick some ass!"
Meanwhile Rumble was running up toward the roof, doing his best to avoid the robots as they followed him to the top.
"I gotta fight..." Rumble said, trying to figure the situation out. "If I'm not careful, I'm a goner."
The robots flew in to attack, with Rumble frantically dodging out of the way. One robot came close, but Rumble leapt up and allowed it to crash into another robot.
"Sweet!" Rumble said. He then found himself avoiding some lasers as he backed away from another robot. "Not good."
Silverstream flew up to see her friend in danger, "Rumble!" She then attacked the robots as well, providing Rumble with some much-needed backup.
"You go Silverstream!" Rumble cheered. "Alright, now it's time to-"
"Time to what!?" Electro said as he floated up toward Rumble. "Give up? Because that sounds like a damn good idea to me."
"You..." Rumble said.
"Yeah, me, the guy that's going to kick the crap out of you!" Electro flew in to attack, but Rumble managed to avoid his strike.
"Rumble!" Silverstream went to help but Electro blasted her off the roof.
"Silverstream!" Rumble went after electro but electricity struck near his hooves a few times as he backed up toward the edge of the building. Rumble looked behind him and saw a large drop waiting. "Crap..."
"Looks like you're in a bad situation," Electro said. "I'm a nice guy though, so I'll cut you a deal. Join us, and you'll live. Cozy Gow seemed really fond of you, and maybe seeing you will take her mind off that traitor Sonata."
"Sonata?" Rumble asked.
"Refuse, and you're dead," Electro said. "What's it going to be?"
Rumble looked around, trying to analyze the situation. He knew he couldn't win, but he also refused to join the enemy.
"I can't die yet, not before I see Apple Bloom..." Rumble thought to himself. "I gotta do something."
"Time's running out kid," Electro said. "What's it going to be?"
Rumble looked behind, remembering the drop. His wing was broken, so he couldn't fly, and he wasn't sure about the strap he made. He had several failed test flights. But if he didn't do anything, it was over regardless.
If he stayed, he was dead. If he tried flying, he would risk dying. One way or another, his life was in danger. He worried if whether or not he had a better chance to fly than to fight. He wasn't sure what to do, and tried imagining what Peter would have to say.
Surprisingly, while he remembered the words of a Spider-Man, it wasn't his Spider-Man. Rather, he remembered something he once heard from Miles.
"Sometimes, you gotta take a leap of faith."
Rumble looked behind, more thoughts flashing through his mind, "Somehow, I don't think this is what Miles meant by a Leap of Faith, but I don't think I have much of a choice."
"Time's up kid, what's it going to be?" Electro asked.
"...Electro, if I'm going to plummet to hell, I'll do it on my own accords," Rumble said. He then leapt off the side of the building.
"Huh!?" Electro looked overhead. "Is he stupid? I'm pretty sure Adagio crushed that kid's wings. He's dead!"
"Rumble!" Scootaloo saw her friend falling, everyone stopping to look up.
"His wing's broken!" Smolder shouted. "Is he crazy!?"
"Someone catch him!" Gabby called.
Sweetie Belle looked ready to leap into action when Rumble's wing opened. He did struggle a bit to get the altitude needed, much to everyone's worry as even Silverstream was flying in to help.
Fortunately, Rumble's fake wing started to work and he immediately pulled up and began soaring through the air, much to the amazement of not only everyone else, but even himself.
"Holy crap...!" Rumble said in disbelief. "I'm actually flying! This is a miracle!"
Rumble stayed in the air a bit longer as he soared around the city, much to the amazement of his friends.
"Oh wow, is he actually flying?" Scootaloo asked.
"Either that, or he's falling with style," Sweetie Belle said.
Happy as Rumble was, he noticed that he was losing altitude, "Crap, this thing's not as flight ready as I wanted." He carefully lowered to the ground, landing safely, though not without a few bumps along the way.
"Come on!" Laura said as she and the others ran out of the city.
"H-Hey! Stop them!" Electro ordered as he sent some Drones.
Sweetie Belle grabbed those drones and flung them hard after Electro, causing a minor explosion and allowing not only herself, but some captive ponies to make their escape.
By the time Electro recovered, everyone was gone, much to his fury. "Damn it!" He fired off a load of electricity as a result. "DAMMIT ALL TO HELL!"
Rumble was safely out of the city, and while he wished his wings worked better, he's happy that he came close.
After a few minutes of catching his breath, he felt someone hug him from the sides, "Rumble!"
"Whoa, Sweetie Belle?" Rumble asked.
"Rumble, you did it!" Sweetie Belle praised. "I knew you could! I told you that all you had to do was keep trying!"
"Yeah, looks like I pulled it off," Rumble said. He then felt a bonk on his head, courtesy of Sweetie Belle. "Hey! What was that for!?"
"For being stupid!" Sweetie Belle scolded. "And for getting us lost!"
"Mistakes happen," Rumble insisted.
Sweetie Belle rolled her eyes in annoyance, "Luckily for you, everything worked out. We managed to free some ponies, including the Oranges."
"Okay, that's good at least," Rumble said.
"Just don't be that reckless again," Sweetie Belle said. "You're so close to reuniting with Apple Bloom."
"Yeah, I am," Rumble said. "Come on, let's leave before we run into more trouble."
Unknown to them, a mysterious being was watching from far away. A human with brownish-blonde hair, holding a mask in one hand and wearing claws in another.
"Looks like we have ourselves a little reunion to prepare for," the man said as he placed his mask on. "Little Malvavisco, you and your crippled friend are now under my mercy."
In the portal room, Miguel, who had returned from business in his world, was trying to understand some new developments.
"Okay, so you completely lost contact with Trunks and his world?" Miguel asked.
"I'm afraid so," Chun-Li said. "During his battle with Black, things went silent. I don't even know what's happening."
"Okay, and how is the recruitment going?" Miguel asked.
"Well we managed to get Invincible, but he has trouble in his world regarding Viltrumites," Gwen said. "I'd like to go and see him soon."
"Very well," Miguel said. "Anyone else?"
"We found Lara Croft," Gwen said. "Also thanks to the others, we were able to get into contact with Mario and Link. As a bonus, we got some Inklings too."
"What about that Genie Girl?" Miguel asked.
"I haven't heard from Dante, but he said he was going to find Shantae at least," Gwen said. "I don't know if there was any trouble though."
"I'll look into that," Miguels said, then turned his attention to Leonardo. "What about your team?"
"We got All Might, and we were able to at least recruit Alex Mercer," Leonardo gestured to the man as he faced off against Cole. "But there's a bit of hostility."
"Hey! You two! No fighting!" Miguel scolded.
"...We'll settle this soon, Mercer," Cole said.
"Yeah, sure," Mercer said. "Soon..."
"Already regretting hiring that guy," Miguel said.
"We also got Geralt of Rivia," Leonardo said, gesturing to the man nearby.
"Is this going to take long?" Geralt asked. "I don't want to keep Ciri waiting."
"If we think there will be any delays, I will bring you back personally," Miguel said.
"Very well," Geralt said. "I suppose I can see what this place has to offer."
"Have you done any traveling like this before?" Leonardo asked.
"Once, it had something to do with Soul Calibur," Geralt said.
"You too huh?" Miguel asked. "Seems like a few others have encountered that. Even Darth Vader himself wanted that power."
"Darth Vader?" Gwen asked. "Whoa, wait till Peter hears about this."
"The time is coming soon to strike," Miguel said. "Reed's already got all the portals just about ready to go. We'll end this in one fell swoop."
"Alright, we'll just make sure Peter's ready too," Gwen said.
"Not so fast, there's still one problem," Miguel said. He then gestured to a girl with an orange bandana who was joined by Tails, Peni and Donatello. "Who is she? How and why is she here?"
"I...can answer that," Chun-Li said. "This is Son Pan. She is Goku's granddaughter."
"Sup?" Pan greeted.
"Uh...sup?" Miguel said. "So, you're Goku's granddaughter? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you supposed to be an infant?"
"She's from the future," Tails said.
"Well, an alternate future at least," Donatello said.
"An alternate future?" Miguel asked. "So, not the one Trunks is from?"
"There is a Trunks, but he's not the one fighting Goku Black," Tails explained.
"I know who you mean though," Pan said. "Papa told me about another version of Trunks who came back in time to warn everyone about The Androids."
"She came here accidentally," Chun-Li said.
"Pfft, accidentally," a nearby Genis scoffed, the boy currently joined by his friends, Lloyd and Presea with Jude Mathis, Elize and Yuri Lowell also nearby.
"Is there something you'd like to say, Genis?" Miguel asked.
"You bet I do," Genis gestured to Tails, Donatello and Peni. "These 'geniuses' as you call them were too busy trying to calm our so-called great leader down." The boy gestured to Chun-Li at the last part. "Because of that, they left a portal open and allowed Pan to just casually step out."
"Genis, that's kind of harsh," Lloyd said, the boy looking worried by the annoyed glances Genis was receiving.
"It's true though, we're in the middle of a terrible crises, and they have to act like children, it's embarrassing!" Genis said, this making Tails, Peni, Donatello and Chun-Li even more unhappy. "Suppose a villain showed up instead!? Our whole operation could have been doomed!"
"Hey chill kid, it was an accident," Gwen said.
"Accidents don't excuse ineptness," Genis said.
"This punk..." Peni said as she clenched her fist.
"Don't let him get to you," Donatello urged.
"Miguel, you should reconsider who you leave in charge," Genis said. "Chun-Li's done a lousy job lately. Ever since Spider-Man seemingly died, she's been so out of it. He's not even dead in the end, and she's still acting immature."
"Genis, be nice!" Elize scolded.
"Yes, you're going to upset these nice people," Presea said.
"Besides, you can't blame Chun-Li for worrying," Tails said. "This is a stressful job! She's just trying to protect everyone."
"It's fine Tails, Genis may be right," Chun-Li said. "If I can't pull myself together, I shouldn't be in charge of anything."
"But Chun-Li," Tails began. "You just made one little mistake. One we all share."
"Don't be so hard on yourself," Peni said.
"Coddling her like this isn't helping," Genis said.
"Will you shut the hell up, already!" Peni shouted. "Where do you get off being a condescending little punk anyway!?"
"Yeah, if you think you can do such a good job, then you be leader," Tails said.
"I never said that, Fluffy," Genis mocked, mildly offending Tails. "I'm just trying to speak from an objective position. This little fight personally affected my home, I've had to see friends die! I nearly lost Presea here! So I want to make sure it's being taken care of!"
"It is being taken care of," Miguel said. "Whatever stress you're feeling, imagine how the rest of us feel. Chun-Li regrets what's happening because a chunk of the threat is coming from her world. She wants this resolved just as much, if not more than you do."
"She saw friends die too," Tails said.
"At least one of them came back," Genis said. "Where is she anyway?"
"She's speaking with The Justice League," Donatello said. "It will be thanks to her that we have back-up from them. Her and Vincent Valentine."
"We'd be done faster if Rita was here," Genis said.
"Hey, Genis," Yuri commented. "I miss her too, but what happened to Rita isn't anyone's fault but Loki's."
"Losing Guile and Carlos hurt Capcom too," Gwen said. "But they're trying to make do."
"They must have been good soldiers," Jude said.
"Good?" Spencer asked as he walked into the room with Roll, Strider Hiryu and Leon. "They were among the best."
"Pan, meet Nathan Spencer, Roll, Strider Hiryu and Leon Kennedy," Tails introduced.
"Hi," Pan greeted.
"Oh hi! It's nice to meet you!" Roll said while running over to grab Pan's hands. "Welcome to our Portal Room."
"Aw, thanks," Pan said.
"Who's this kid?" Spencer asked.
"Goku's granddaughter," Tails said.
"Granddaughter?" Spencer asked. "Is she strong?"
"I can hold my own in a fight," Pan said while flexing her arm. "Just ask Baby."
"You fought a baby?" Genis asked. "That's just sad."
"Not a baby, the guy's name was Baby," Pan corrected. "He's a Tuffle."
"A what?" Spencer asked.
"An alien that the Saiyans mostly wiped out," Pan said. "He was evil and tried taking over my world by infecting people like a parasite. But Grandpa turned Super Saiyan 4 and beat him."
"Super Saiyan goes up to four now?" Gwen asked. "Dang, that's impressive."
"Talk numbers later," Miguel focused on the newcomers. "How are things in Capcom?"
"A little bad, but nothing we can't handle," Spencer said.
"We were able to get detailed reports on what happened, thanks to Phoenix Wright," Leon said. "He and Frank West have been keeping an eye on things.
"We did spot Ultron and Sigma however, seems as though they're going after Zero," Strider said.
"It was bad," Roll said as she focused on Miguel. "A lot of people are really getting hurt."
"The villains are already targeting worlds we haven't even encountered yet," Spencer said.
"Just what we feared," Miguel said.
"I can see why you got me then," Geralt said. "Sounds like my world could be in danger."
"Mine too..." Mercer said.
"That's why we're trying to get the strongest people we can," Miguel said. "We may not be able to get everyone, but we'll damn sure get enough."
"We gotta end this soon," Spencer said. "The more these guys draw power from other worlds, the harder it will be to stop them."
"Especially if they not only take refuge, but increase their numbers," Strider said.
"These guys are pretty damn ambitious," Miguel said.
"Hey, we're not going to risk an incursion, are we?" Gwen asked.
"I'm not sure. I know it can affect our world, but we don't know if it will affect anywhere else," Miguel said. "However, an imbalance is at risk."
"...I suggest we strike by the end of the week then," Gwen said. "Better yet, within the next two days."
"Two days!?" Peni asked. "Will we be ready?"
"We better be," Gwen said. "If we prolong this, it will be to their advantage. Things are bad enough, we can't let them get worse. I'll relay this information to Peter."
"Okay, very well," Miguel said. "We strike in two days."
Things were already getting bad. Trunks's team had lost against Black and Zamasu, prompting them to retreat after Trunks offered to hold them off.
Vegeta had no choice but to leave this timeline to find Goku and alert him to the situation, while Mai made plans of her own.
Trunks laid in bed, still recovering from his fight against Black and Zamazu while Domino and Psylocke waited nearby.
"That was some power he showed, wasn't it?" Psylocke asked.
"Yeah..." Domino said. She recalled how Trunks got his clean hits against Black and Zamasu, but one sneak attack was enough to knock him out.
"How much longer will this world suffer?" Psylocke asked.
"I wish I knew," Domino said. "But we need to keep fighting. Otherwise this problem will spread."
Suddenly they heard some footsteps, and saw two orphans with a bucket of water and a towel.
"Haru, Maki," Domino said.
"We brought some water for Trunks," Maki said.
"And a towel, it's to cool him off," Haru said.
"Bishop asked us to do this," Maki said. "He said it would help Trunks."
"It would definitely cool him off," Psylocke said as she placed the towel on the boy's head.
"Hng..." Trunks reacted in his sleep before relaxing.
"Will Trunks be okay?" Haru asked.
"He'll be fine," Domino said. "You two should go back with the others. Mai will be worried."
"Mai left," Haru said.
"Left? Where?" Domino asked.
"She didn't say, she just left with Forge," Haru said.
"...I gotta find her," Domino stood up.
"Hey wait, what about Trunks?" Psylocke asked.
"Stay with him, I'll make sure Mai doesn't do anything stupid," Domino said as she left.
"...That girl's stubborn," Psylocke said.
"Will she be alright?" Maki asked.
"She better," Psylocke said.
In his timeline, Goku is seen on his Master Roshi's Island, practicing a technique that could deal with the Immortal Zamasu.
"Evil Containment!" Goku shouted, trying to get his master's turtle into a jar, but so far having no luck. "Damn...I gotta keep trying. Either that or see if I can get Roshi to teach this to someone else too. Someone with more focus..."
Despite considering that, Goku wasn't one to back down from a challenge. He decided to keep trying on his own to learn the technique. After all, any chance to learn something new about fighting is something Goku would gladly try.
Meanwhile in Mark's world, the boy was seen speaking with Cecil about the multiverse threat. Needless to say, the man didn't look too pleased.
"First these damn Viltrumites, now this?" Cecil asked. "I thought the problem was being handled already?"
"Well it isn't, that world is still in danger," Mark said. "I have to help them, they need me."
"Mark, this world needs you," Cecil said. "Let those guys handle their own problems."
"But what if those villains come here!?" Mark said. "We're risking so many lives by doing nothing!"
"The Viltrumites could return at any moment," Cecil said. "I'm sorry, but they're on their own. This is their fight, and we have ours."
"Is that how you truly feel then?" Came the voice of Doctor Strange as he stepped into the room.
"What the hell!?" Cecil asked. "Who are you!? How did you get in here!?"
"Easy Cecil, that's Doctor Strange," Mark said. "He's a magician of sorts."
"Magician? Oh what, do you do children's birthday parties on the side?" Cecil asked.
"Should I call for security!?" Donald asked.
"That would be unwise," Strange said as he used his magic to restrain Donald.
"How are you doing that?" Cecil asked.
"Lot's of children's birthday parties," Strange commented.
"Son of a..." Just as Cecil reached for a gun, Strange used his magic to restrain him as well.
"Come now, let's be civil," Strange said.
"What brings you here?" Mark asked.
"Sunset told me about The Viltrumites, she's worried about you," Strange said.
"We're fine, the Viltrumites are all gone," Mark said. "I'm still willing to help against Doctor Doom and Albert Wesker."
"Things are getting chaotic, and I imagine they'll want to strike soon," Strange said. "Be ready Mark."
"I will be," Mark reassured.
Unknown to Mark, more trouble was brewing. Coming from a portal was a disfigured man who had only one thing on his mind. Revenge.
Zero himself was holding his own, keeping Sigma and Ultron at bay while nearby, Frank West and Phoenix Wright helped people to safety.
"Maya, more coming your way!" Phoenix Wright called as he focused on Zero. "When Spencer and the others left, I thought they were sending a replacement to help Zero! Where is that replacement?"
"I think I see it, there's a one guy there," Frank West said before another appeared. "Uh, make that a guy and a girl."
Ultron laid eyes on his new foes, "Mr. Fantastic? To what do I owe-?"
Reed wasted no time punching Ultron through some nearby buildings, "That was for Hank!"
"Try to leave him in one piece," Susan said. "We want him to answer to Janet."
"Strong woman to willingly patrol Equestria with diligence despite her grief," Reed said.
Sigma landed nearby, "You two will regret that."
Susan used her forcefields to attack Sigma as well as Reed focused on finding Ultron, the robot quickly reappearing.
"You will regret that!" Ultron shouted. "For I am-"
Reed punched the robot again, "Enough talk!" He then rolled into another attack, sending Ultron flying back. "I may not win today, but if I can save lives, I will take that chance."
Nearby, Alastor worriedly looked on, "That's not good." He contacted the quartet of Wesker, Doom, Emma Frost and Vomi through a portal, "We got a problem here!"
"Handle it yourself for now," Doom said as he focused on Marvel Earth. "We're busy."
"Peter's destruction takes priority," Wesker said. "He will not be getting away so easily."
On Earth, Peter had returned to the city to meet with Yuriko in the Greenwich Police Station, alongside Shocker, Twilight, Sonata and Rogue.
Everyone else stayed behind at the house for the time being, save for Thunderlane and Lightning Dust who opted to do a little exploring of their own.
The moment Peter walked into the room, he came across some would be allies. Two he was very familiar with, one he was vaguely familiar with, and one he did not know at all.
"Hey Yuri, we're here," Peter said.
"Good," Yuri said as she gestured to the two Peter was familiar with. "You of course know Elektra and The Punisher."
"Yeah...seems a bit weird seeing you two in a Police Station," Peter said.
"No weirder than Shocker being here," Elektra said. "You're certain he's gone straight?"
"He's one of us, I trust him," Peter said.
"These two have offered to help and I convinced them not to take things to a violent level," Yuriko said.
"I'll do what I can to bring The Kingpin down by your rules," Punisher said. "But if things get bad, you know what we gotta do."
"The right thing," Yuriko said. "Don't make me regret trusting you. I already feel nuts asking for your help."
"I know Frank here isn't the friendliest guy, but he does have a sense of justice," Peter said.
"Still soft as ever, huh Web Head?" Punisher asked.
"Be nice, he's on your side after all," Twilight scolded.
"Well anyway, I'd also like to introduced Warren Worthington III," Yuriko said, gesturing to the hero known as Angel.
"Heya Warren, good to see you," Rogue said.
"Rogue, it's been a while," Angel said. "How are things?"
"They could be much better," Rogue said.
"Lastly," Yukiko said. "I'd like to introduce..."
"I got this," the girl said as she extended her hand to the hero. "Sup? I'm Gwendolyn Poole. But you can call me Gwenpool."
"...Gwenpool?" Peter asked.
"I know, it sounds like Deadpool, and it looks like a Deadpool costume too," Gwenpool said. "Thing is, when I sent in my application to be a hero, the tailor, his name's Ronnie, misread my name. Apparently I have sloppy handwriting, so he thought I put Gwenpool as my name when I was just trying to write my actual name. So he gave me this Deadpool looking costume."
"I see..." Peter said.
"So now I'm Gwenpool, and I think I can roll with it," the girl brought out some swords. "I'm here to fight for justice!"
"Well, that's neat," Peter said. "Uh, so how much do you know about the situation?"
"Tons, I know all about this type of thing, I read about in comics," Gwenpool said. "I know a lot about you, and Rogue here. Shocker, kind of surprised to see him good but hey, that's the fun of life."
"Uh..." Peter wasn't sure how to reply.
"Also, those other girls look familiar," Gwenpool glanced at Twilight. "Have you ever seen a show on Nickelodeon called Glitch Tech?"
"What's Nickelodeon?" Twilight asked.
"Well, she's quirky," Sonata said.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle," the girl said. "I'm Spider-Man's wife."
"Huh?" Gwenpool turned to Peter. "You didn't marry Mary Jane Watson?"
Peter awkwardly glanced at his now slightly annoyed wife before focusing on Gwenpool, "No, I married Twilight."
"Wow, multiverse..." Gwenpool said. "Also, why does the name Twilight Sparkle sound familiar? That sounds like the name of a toy."
"Well, I'm clearly not a toy," Twilight said.
"My name's Sonata Dusk," Sonata introduced. "I'm a friend of Shocker."
"Did you know he was a villain?" Gwenpool asked.
"Yeah, that's how we met, I used to be a villain too," Sonata said.
"...You're fully reformed, right?" Punisher asked.
Shocker stood in front of the girl, "Back off, Castle!"
"Hey, no fighting," Peter urged. "I promise that Sonata's on our side, and is a good lady."
"You're absolutely positive?" Punisher asked.
"Hey, his daughter likes me, and she's a great judge of character," Sonata said.
"You have a daughter?" Gwenpool asked. "Did you name her after your aunt?"
"Okay, how the hell did you know that!?" Peter asked in concern.
"Lucky guess," Gwenpool said.
"...Should we be worried about this girl?" Shocker asked.
"She knew a bit about me too, and Elektra," Punisher said. "Not perfectly, but at the very least she knows about our legacy."
"She asks too many questions," Elektra said.
"Hey all I asked is if you were dating Daredevil," Gwenpool said. "He's really dreamy, so I wanted to know if he was single or not."
"Wow..." Shocker said.
"Look, let's just get to work," Peter said. "I want to put an end to Fisk, and I'd like to get to it as soon as possible."
"Do you know where he might be?" Shocker asked.
"We do, but it's not as easy as just arresting him," Yuriko said. "Guys like Fisk know how to work the system, so we need clear evidence. The answer may lie in his construction work."
"Construction?" Sonata asked.
"We have reason to believe that Fisk uses his construction site to make shady deals," Yuriko said. "Such as selling illegal firearms."
"Sounds like something he'd do," Shocker said. "Fisk used a lot of his businesses as cover for some form of money laundering."
"Would you know any place that is worth checking out?" Peter asked.
"I haven't been here in years, so I don't know what places would work the best," Shocker said. "I know he tried laundering money in some auction house once, he even got into a big fight with Mr. Negative about it. That was six years ago though."
"Hey, it might be worth checking out," Peter said.
"Anything else?" Yuriko asked.
"He should have a few labs somewhere, one was upstate," Shocker said. "Then there was another that belonged to Spencer Smythe."
"Smythe again?" Sonata asked.
"That reminds me, has there been any reports on Alistair Smythe?" Peter asked.
"We haven't heard from him in years," Yuriko said.
"Well, let's hope it stays that way," Peter said, then turned to his friends. "We'll figure this out as we go. Come on!"
Everyone immediately left the Police Station, and were on their way to find out information about Fisk.
Unknown to them, Fisk had his insurance, as lurking in the distance was his back up plan.
"Doom told me he was capable," Fisk said as he checked some street monitors. "Time to see if he lives up to his word."
From Peter's distance, his next foe kept a close eye on him, his red eyes seen from behind his long flowing hair as he began his chase.
